The Legend of Zelda is my all time favourite game series and I love watching how it is going forward. While I played Spirit Tracks before Twilight Princess was the title that got me into the series big time and I am eternally thankful for it especially as that was during a hard time in my life. It sparked my great love for wolves (Wolf Link my beloved) and generally influenced me in more way than I probably know. I would also say it was the first game I really went into as a gamer. That's why I was mainly inspired by Link's Tunic from Twilight Princess. I adjusted some things for me though. So yeah this artwork is very personal so I am glad I could give it a new touch. Also just in case someone is asking this pedestal exists in no game exactly like that I made it up.

Transcript: i think the fandom was genuinely better before 2020. or at least 2021. maybe i see nostalgia through rose-tinted glasses, but 2015-2019 was the best era of this fandom. people say cringe and free but there’s a difference between unknowing cringe and acknowledged cringe, and the former is just more genuine. more fun, more free. things were better, in my eyes. now there’s useless discourse (there was, of course, discourse then, but now people have wrapped morals into it. you’re not a bad person who wants to abuse people if your favorite character is canon nightmare sans, god), even worse fanon that people have dubbed as canon (dream is not an uwu baby, yes, but going in the entirely different direction and making him a mean smoker is just as fanon and inaccurate, you’re no better, so get off that pedestal), and just the bullying that comes with liking older interpretations.

blueberry is fine. uwu star sanses are fine. slendermansion bad sanses are fine. teddy bear horror is fine. any interpretation is fine. but there’s art left and right of people drawing characters punting those other interpretations whilst the creators themselves continue to make their own interpretations that are the same, if not worse, levels of inaccuracy and mischaracterization. it’s hypocrisy and i don’t doubt that in four or five years this era of the fandom will be mocked and a new, just as wrong interpretation will emerge. i don’t mind this, you can characterize anyone however you want. that’s what makes this fandom great. it’s just the fact that this is combined with the bullying of other interpretations that makes it hypocritical and me upset. not even to touch upon the new fanon of “sans would show no emotion of papyrus died”. in an attempt to move away from one side of the spectrum they went too far to the other, rather than settle upon the perfect balance.

in general i also grieve what will never come back. the style of older popular artists drawing sans, that line weight jakei and superyounma used that pulled the style together, the obsession when dream and nightmare became truly popular, the formation of the star sanses, the overuse of the word ‘senpai~’ when it came to crossmare, the comic dub movies on youtube, or how everyone obsessed over sans and made him overly edgy and emotional. the animation memes, the genuine sans fangirls, not the satire ones. ichika. the othertale animations. early underverse and the silly comics jakei made for it. the terrible wattpad fanfiction. amino. actually, we can leave out amino. i don’t miss amino.

it wasn’t all perfect. if i’m honest, it was a dumpster fire in a lot of ways. but it was my dumpster fire, and what once burned became nice and toasty. the fandom now is great, don’t get me wrong. i love how it’s turned out, i love how characters are no longer white anime boys and how people have begun to acknowledge how certain things are bad, rather than ignoring it. how underrated characters have been getting more attention.

but if i had to pick between the fandom now and the fandom then, i’d pick then in a heartbeat.

I know a lot has happened in today's leak and I don't want to be one of those people who focus only on their favorite character, but this issue was honestly so infuriating. This "angry arrogant brat who puts his father on a pedestal" portrayal of Damian is soooooo fucking outdated, has Zdarsky even picked any Damian's comic from the last 8 years?

Have you read the first issue of B&R 2023 last month? Damian was slamming his door on Bruce's face each time he tried making small talk with him, Robin 2021? Bruce was literally chasing Damian and begging for his forgiveness for an entire year? There's really no logical reason why Damian would be so fiercely protective of Bruce or passionately fight on his side, especially considering how Bruce is currently acting, but to have him be so aggressive and condescending toward the others is so regressive and degrading toward his character.

Like I know Tim is his favorite, we can tell by how he had Bruce listing all the things that make Tim better than the other Robins as well as having Tim literally descending in an angelic light to save Bruce just a couple of issues ago, but Damian's cameo and that cringey "All Damian does is fight Bruce while TIM is the only one who tries saving him<3" line were so unnecessary and probably happened so that Tim's writers can once again make Tim look good by putting other characters down, again.

But hey, they had Tim hugging Damian at the end so lets all aww at their "brotherism" and ignore everything else.

what made you realise you were acting vain and how did you change it?

It wasn’t just me enjoying the fun or relaxation of it anymore, it was a serious pursuit. So take my enjoyment of luxury goods for example. I like buying bags and shoes and stuff bc I think they are pretty and I just like them for what they are. I don’t make an idol of it, I don’t think it makes me better than anyone, and if God showed up and told me to leave it behind I would do it before he even finished the sentence bc I don’t actually place too much importance on it. I can wear a chanel or a random unbranded bag from amazon and it wouldn’t make a difference. But when it came to former beauty practices, I did care. A lot. The thought of not being done up a certain way was no longer simply about self care but caring far too much about how others were perceiving me and how I was looking in relation to others. Always wanting to be the shining star in the room. I was also doing it for personal enjoyment and for beauty’s sake but there were other dubious thoughts bubbling under the surface and they weren’t healthy. It was giving me a false sense of superiority and for what?

It was weird bc I would see other vain girls and feel a distaste for them even though we were exhibiting the same traits. So I was really seeing myself and not liking the reflection, if that makes sense. There’s a difference between confidence and arrogance. There’s a difference between doing something because you like it and feel like doing it vs feeling like you have to even when you don’t authentically feel like it. My views on beauty are very relaxed now and although I very much enjoy my routines and the end result, it is not an idol in my life and I am fully shining in simply doing what I want/like and feeling no pressure of any sort to be as pleasing to the biggest pool of people as I was before.

Being pretty, dressing cute, it doesn’t make me better than anyone else. It doesn’t make me worth more. It doesn’t mean I deserve more or am entitled to demand better. Yes I knew that before but I wasn’t behaving that way 100% of the time. All it means is that I like having curled hair and eyeliner. That’s it.

Whenever I take breaks from the extra outward adornments (just wearing my hair curly, no makeup, etc), I don’t feel any better or worse about myself bc it’s been taken off of a pedestal in my life. 2021 was definitely the height of my vanity and I’m glad I don’t have that same mindset anymore. You can enjoy looking good and taking really good care of yourself without being snooty or insufferable about it and somehow I was really annoying that year lmao! But it’s funny bc I got a lot of followers that year so people loved it but after a while I realized that I wasn’t as proud of my behavior and I didn’t think it was showing upstanding character. At the end of the day, getting 50k notes on a post and gaining a bunch of followers doesn’t mean anything if I’m not proud of who I’m becoming when I put the phone down.

I am a very visual person and I love beauty and will always enjoy partaking in beauty routines, but it doesn’t mean I have to be vain.

I don't understand- This house is listed as a new build, yet the listing says that it was built in 2021. Has it been sitting vacant for 2 yrs.? It's located in Mc Lean, Virginia, has 4bds, 6ba, and has just had a price increase of $1.2M! And, now they're asking $6.2M, up from $5M. Look at this one.

I'm thinking that this is an entrance hall or hidden mud room area b/c there's a bench and hooks for hanging coats. Plus, it's right around the corner from the living room fireplace.

You come around the corner by this large window and that's the fireplace on the right. Kind of a weird layout.

And, here we are in the living room. That's a very large fireplace, very dramatic, and to the right are stairs to a lower level.

The open concept living room/kitchen includes these massive spiral stairs for a stunning focal point.  The house is said to showcase avant-garde architecture with asymmetrical lines.

The stairs kind of encroach on the kitchen.

Double ovens here behind the stairs.

The backsplash is a textured-look tile that resembles stone.

I could be wrong, but the island looks like a laminate. It's nice though, and seats 5.

Bath with nice tile and interesting modern pedestal sinks.

Plus, it has a beautiful shower.

The home is supposed to be an immersive journey thru art, sustainability and luxury.

Hallway has a room at the end where they actually built one of those tree bookshelves. That's a cool feature and it must be a bedroom or den, but they aren't showing the other rooms.

I'm quoting the description here: "The artistic touch continues with Shou Sugi Ban siding, seamlessly blending ancient Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics."

So, I'm guessing that these wood walls are the Shou Sugi Ban siding. Looks like a piece of marble or quartz simulating a fish tank.

Also in the basement is a large sauna.

And, a wavy Zen shower.

I can't be sure, b/c they really aren't showing any of the bedrooms, but maybe this is the primary suite.

It has a terrace, but I'm wondering what those handles on the railing are for.
