I just happened to notice that both my scar pain & asthma get worse when I'm on my period/have pms (post/pre menstrual syndrome) and was curious about other ppls experiences ((im about a 4ish/5 cause its BAD))

Alright I'm gonna say it

I don't want "mess free" period sex. Menstrual cycles are messy. There's pain and bullshit intolerance and cramps and weird sensations and headaches and cravings and mood issues and swelling and uncertainties and poop. The reality of a period IS messy. Stop perpetuating the patriarchal myth that women/uterus bearers/period havers should be neat and clean and prim and proper

If you wanna have mess free period sex then by all means do what you gotta do! Put that rag towel down! Use a disc/cup! Do it in the shower! Don't use insertion! Refrain entirely if that's your thing!

But ffs can we stop with the societal expectation that periods need to be palatable and nonthreatening to people who don't have them?? That our bodies are not consumable and marketable objects to those who simply want to use us??? Unfuck you because you ain't getting access to mentruating bits if you can't handle the menstruation part

I have a question to ask anyone who suffers from a period. My cramps and nausea are killing me. I've tried my heating pad, CBD cream, weed, water, crackers, moving around, salt under my tongue. None of it's really helped. If I try and take a pill I'm pretty sure it's going to come right back up, because of how nauseous I am. (Plus I can't find my Tylenol rn).

What tricks or tips work for you when you're feeling like this? Any advice would be super appreciated.

As awesome as it is to see the LGBTQ+ representation in the Baymax show (and it absolutely is), can I just give a shoutout to the fact that they also included - during the scene where Baymax is getting the period products - a dad getting period products for his daughter?

Way too often, I hear about how men should have nothing to do with periods and how they don’t wanna know when any of their period-having relatives hit their monthlies, and it is amazingly refreshing to see a dude casually recommending the period product that his daughter favours. It shouldn’t be, but it is, so thank you, Baymax show

I go 12h without needing to think about it!! And even when I do, I got a purple one so like!!!!! FUCK YEAH!!

(Purple is the most enby color to me. I was raised 'blue is for boys and pink is for girls' so purple is for me 💜)

When the farmer is Ill, be it physically or mentally, Shane becomes the most devoted man you’ll ever meet. However… there is a catch.

He’s not very good at knowing, how to take care of them. He figured it would be like taking care of Jas when she was sick, but then again… Marnie was usually on top of that too. If anything, it seemed like she only trusted him to entertain Jas rather than nurse her back to health.

Still, Shane took pride in all of those mucasy, cough ridden giggles. So he applied the same techniques.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t always a hit with the farmer. Some days they didn’t want his silliness, others they begged him to make them smile for one gosh darn minute.

He didn’t mind this.

He was the same.

Oh Yoba knew he was far worse when he was ill. Though, to be fair, he did want to kill himself a lot of those times.

Things were better now though, and he was happy to be alive.

And he was happy to be the one to help.

So Shane doted on the farmer. Nothing was too much of a request. If he couldn’t do it, he would learn how to. Luckily, the farmer was a generous person and, if they were up to the task, would teach Shane how to care for them properly.

And so Shane, a giant teddy bear of a man, became the caregiver he always hoped that he would have in his darkest times.

And at the end of the day…

Being held was his own treat.
