Ah, a very good question! Hmmm, I think that they would be no older than Sophie Bennett from ROTG, who is around two to three years old. I was initially going to say five, but given that they're not that communicative, I went younger.

Ideas that have been collecting dust in my brain for the past two - three weeks that I finally got around to editing/ posting. Enjoy!

TW: Child/ Animal Abuse and Child/ Animal Death

The recently crowned Queen Alessandra Belagomba took the longest out the palace inhabitants to warm up to 'The Three Diablos'. After all, they were henchmen for the conman who literally snatched her kingdom's crown jewel from her head and now they're her personal guards. Of course, she was going to be skeptical of three notorious, deeply feared thieves being in charge of her life, while 'The Three Diablos' thought it was going to take nine lifetimes for them to gain any semblance of trust from her. When in reality, it only took about a year, and while Alessandra honestly hated to admit it, they are three of the best, most magnificent bodyguards she’s ever had. They've thwarted a ludicrous amount of assassination attempts and maniacal schemes in and out of her own court that after fifteen she stopped counting. It was becoming obvious to her their redemptions weren't a ploy to get back at her after all, they genuinely wanted to be better and she grew to love them for it.

Puss was the worst at staying in contact, he sent them each letters at an excruciatingly infrequent rate prior to his scuffle with Death, probably two to three times a year at the most. Now, there's a castle servant delivering letters to them every week and by the end of the month it's like Christmas with how many gifts that spindly, overworked messenger delivers to their quarters. They don't exactly know what brought on the sudden change of heart, Puss left a lot of explicit details out, but they're certainly not complaining.

While they might be hometown heroes, their heroism isn't exclusive to Belagomba, they go wherever their royal highness goes whether it be the nearby San Ricardo, the not-so-nearby Poison Apple, or the true to its name Far Far Away.

They're not biological siblings, they're three orphaned strays that got lucky and found each other... And then 'The Whisperer' found them and treated them like utter crap. He treated all his 'employed' henchmen like they were slaves because with nowhere else to go, what could they do? Go back to the cramped alleyways and diseased cesspits they were born in? Nope! The Three Diablos earned their title by becoming the best of the best out of all his destitute critters so they could stay in his favor indefinitely and it worked out well for them... Well... Until Uncle Puss arrived that is.

In the very, very early days of their new careers, like the first two months, they had troubles adjusting to their new life in the castle, their less than fortunate upbringings on the streets and under the Whisperer being made apparent. They wouldn't eat all their food opting to hide it under their beds instead of finishing it, they had an extreme dislike for being touched by humans, and then there were the school lessons, those were a doozy. They're smart kitties, truly they are, they flew through every subject thrown their way, arithmetic, art, reading, finance, but those speech lessons were a beast to get through. Going from 'Meow' to 'Hola' took a lot of patience from their tutors and plenty of sleepless nights for all involved that ultimately resulted in three somewhat well-spoken kittens.

As strays/ henchmen/ heroes/ personal bodyguards they've all had encounters with death from a young age, however, their personal accounts on meeting 'Death' vary greatly. The three for the life of one another just cannot agree on what he looks like or how he acts. Sometimes he's a gentle voice that lulls one to sleep and other times he's a psychotic, hulking beast determined on tearing one’s soul from their body through brute force.

Oh, them all getting married together is much nicer, yeah. (Even though three people getting married together in real life isn't possible, this is a fictional world of fairy tales, so anything can happen) And them all adopting Timoteo, Gonzalo and Perla (The Three Diablos) would be so sweet. And Perrito could help out. I personally headcanon that Kitty is infertile because her former owners spayed her. (In addition to declawing her)

Time for my annual rambling session.I have so many ideas for this au that I feel the need to share them.Alright here we go.

Goldi & Death become...friends?-Goldi and Death are two people that many would never have expected to become friends.Death is cold,persistent and serious.And isn't too bright on social cues or understanding others yet excels in certain academic subjects. Goldi is fierce and determined who wants to be "just right".

Her grades aren't the best but is surprisingly popular with the other student to the point where she became friends with Death's sister Aurora aka Vida and Kitty Softpaws,the most popular girls in the school.But it's through a personal and meaningful chat with each other that they realize they're not that different from each other.A friendship is born from there.

Death meets the three diablos-One day for a study session with Puss,our lovely tall wolf gentleman meets the three younger siblings of Puss in boots:The three diablos,Perla the leader and the heart of the group,Gonzalo,the troublemaker of the group and the mini version of Puss,and Sir Timoteo Montenegro III,the yesman of the group and is easily distracted.

The interaction goes like this:

Perla:Who's your friend,Puss?

Puss:He's my um,acquaintance.

Gonazalo:What does that mean?

Perla:It means friend,you dummy.

Gonzalo:I'm not a dummy!

Perla:Yes,you are not!

Gonzalo:No,I'm not!*insert angry kitten fighting.Timmy is dragged into the fight.Puss questions his sanity while Death looks on in amusement.

Goldi may or may not have a crush on the new girl-Recently a girl by the name of 'Red' transferred to the school.Standing at the height of 6'2,with dark skin and curly hair,a red cloak,with black lipstick and pretty amber eyes,Red is certainly an interesting one.Goldi first met her in chemistry before class started and the two quickly got off on a good start.As the two got to know eachother even more,Goldi may or may not be developing a crush on this very pretty and very tall girl.

Kitty and Vida are definitely not trying to get them together,first Puss and Death and now Goldi and Red! Welp,then let's get these two gay disasters get together with their respective closeted bi/pan diasters.

They really missed a chance to have kitty meet the 3 diablos

Oh, they missed a big chance by not having Kitty meet the three diablos. I think that it would have been funnier to have Kitty and Puss act like an overwhelmed mommy and daddy. I think it would have been adorable to see the kittens unlock Kitty's motherly side and form a special bond with Perla, Gonzalo, and Timmy.

I think Perla would definitely become very attached to Kitty for the sake of having a badass female cat to look up to and Mom Boss to teach her the secrets only women know. And since Perla seems to be the smartest and the leader of her siblings, Kitty only lets her hold her sword.

I think Gonzalo would be the little grumpy one to test her. But Kitty earned his respect by showing him how to pickpocket, and now he can't stop showing her all the little things that he's pickpocketed.

Timmy, on the other hand, just can't stop hugging her and lying on his back for tummy rubs. Timmy thinks that Kitty is very pretty and wants her to be his mommy. He will bring her flowers and little dead things, which she finds very touching and of which she is so proud.

It would have been an awesome nod to the nursery rhyme "Three Little Kittens" if Kitty said, "What? Lost your mittens, you naughty kittens! Then you shall have no pie."

And of course, when Kitty sees Puss being playful and nurturing with the kittens, she sees a side of him that she has never seen before and would like to see more of.

In the end, I think that they missed a big chance by not having Kitty meet the three diablos.

Now my headcanon for Puss, Kitty, and Dulcinea with the three diablos will be for another day because I thought that I'd keep this question focused on Kitty.

These are Timoteo (grey tabby), Perla (cream tabby), and Gonzalo (calico) from Puss in Boots The Three Diablos. How realistic do their patterns look?

These designs are absolutely adorable! I love the asymmetric white spotting on Gonzalo. Perla looks more like a dull ginger than a cream to me, though -creams are very light and often almost pinkish in tone. Here’s a post from cat-colours for reference!
