Gonna start calling it what it is, when people who wear a lot of makeup with detailed skin routines: "upper class luxury," bc it is, and while mentioning makeup rituals in feminism is important, rn ""pickme"" discourse is so bad it's not a useful critique.
I just wanna see the tiktokers squirm to defend how having $500 to spend on makeup and skincare products and 2 hours in a day to apply it is somehow NOT a luxury good and NOT something only the upper class can realistically perform, and then expect lower classes to replicate with less money and less time.
Like they supposedly hate capitalism so much (even if yes they clearly love it) how can they justify that? Is their idea of feminism separate or contradictory towards anti-capitalism? I wanna see what they have to say...

🌻 How To Live Your Best Ace Life! 🌻♠|The Girlies are BREAKING social norms & gender roles| Ep20
https://youtu.be/74JEEV6tSXI
We are following up with part 2 to conclude discussing the gender expressions, gender roles, and social markers of QUEER Gen Z and young Millennial women. The girlies are QUEER and aren't living for the male gaze. The girlies are prioritizing their humanity for their authentic expression. From body hair, pixie cuts, nonconformity, LGBTQIA+ acceptance and rejecting cishet normative social scripts.
This includes partnering (amatonormativity), child labor aka procreating (compulsory sexuality), and the 4B movement (refusing allosexuality/gender roles/cishet patriarchy as the default). Let's discuss why the girlies are queer and how queerness opposes hierarchal caste systems such as pickme politics/trade wife indoctrination/soft life aesthetics/hypergamy power plays etc. Full link to this video in the bio! love after one date
im a very picky person when it comes to picking me. what does that mean exactly? you want things a certain way, you like things are certain way, you want love a certain. you see, picky. and yet? when are you going to pick yourself or choose yourself.
im a young woman that wants to fall in love. and yet? it feels nearly impossible. for one i am great at telling stories but on a date i can feel so mute. is it the person or is it me? will i say the wrong thing and that person doesnt pick me. will i look different and that person wont pick me. pick pick pick.
if im not falling in love after one date, are they even the one? how could i fall in love later. ppl think im pretty? someone would pick me? i need to just pick me.

the term “pickme” has gotten so flipped it’s insane. it was meant to criticize women who turn on other women for male approval, but recently i’ve just seen it used to criticize women who criticize women who turn on other women for male approval. a woman on twox on reddit called women who are anti-porn “pickmes”. like in WHAT universe. no man is coming online complaining that his gf loves and approves of him getting off to other women be so fr.
i’ve seen women be called pickmes for vaguely questioning the beauty industry or shaving. again, in WHAT world is the typical man “picking” a woman who rejects societal beauty norms?? is ur brain broken????

I’m begging men to stop using words they don’t know the meanings of, like pick-me girl or gaslight. The term “pick-me girl” was initially supposed to call out the internalized misogyny some women hold towards each other under the patriarchy. Now it’s been misconstrued and used as another empty label to shame women for being slightly annoying.

Estimados Potenciales Compradores:
Hoy quiero hablarles sobre un tema fundamental de nuestro producto: la justicia. El constantemente exigir un compromiso inquebrantable con la verdad, la equidad y la defensa de los derechos de todos los individuos. ¿ Y a ti, que te hace diferente?
Voy a sonreir y responderte:

Pick me girls
