That's so valid! I think plenty of folks actually do have a strong aversion to pineapple in general, and perhaps specifically the combination of tastes/textures created when it's placed on pizza. Some people additionally are allergic to pineapple and don't realize it's not supposed to be physically uncomfortable to eat.

I think the question is more, why is pineapple the one we always seem to be hearing about? I know multiple people who straight up won't eat a pizza with onions on it, or mushrooms, sometimes green peppers, sometimes olives. These are all seen as incredibly "normal" pizza toppings, but the aversions are still present, and at least anecdotally, more numerous.

I remember being a kid and seeing all the kid media suggesting "Blech! Real kids all hate brocoli," and wondering, how did they land on that specific vegetable? Broccoli looks like little trees and tastes good with cheese. Why not the far inferior lima bean? Why not celery?

Why was there a bacon craze a decade ago? Why not sausage or ham? Why not beef jerky? It's interesting to think about this stuff.

So, why is pineapple the current point of pizza contention? I remember years ago anchovies were the topping one "had to" dismiss. Maybe in the future it will be something else. What shapes these positive or negative food trends?

If that's the case, I wonder what seemingly arbitrary inciting event precipitated other trends. I remember tons of kids ordering hamburgers without pickles when previously they were pickle neutral, after a Burger King Kids Club commercial had a 90s cool kid ordering a burger "his way," with no pickles. I'm not sure if the Facebook group is a step up or a step down from that....

I refuse to believe anyone actually has a visceral reaction of disgust to pineapple on pizza. As far as “weird foods” go that’s one of the most tame examples and pineapple is probably the least offensive fruit to put in a savory dish. Pineapple antis are on some performative shit like the people who pretend to be really uncomfortable with the word “moist”

this guy’s the reigning king of shitposting. he’s got a knack for calling out anything he deems “overrated,” and he doesn’t hold back. his feed is a never-ending stream of complaints about everything from minor inconveniences to full-blown disasters. you might see posts about how his ramen was too hot or things like pineapple on pizza. he’s the kind of troll who wouldn’t hesitate to pick a fight with kids on roblox, turning every argument into a battle that leaves them in tears and scrambling to save face (konohamaru). he would also be the type to start internet beefs over the most mundane things. if you’re ever scrolling through your feed and see a heated argument about why a certain trend is lame, chances are he is behind it.

haruno sakura

the feminist and activist extraordinaire! she’s the type of woman who not only supports human rights in every way possible but also cheers on the LGBTQ+ community with gusto—because, spoiler alert, she’s part of it. she’s someone who’s fully aware of the impact social media can have and is determined to use it to amplify her voice and make a real difference. i also think she has multiple social media accounts like a pro—there’s her private twitter account where she rants about how messed up the government is, her ao3 account where she writes fan fiction with a side of social commentary, and of course, her tumblr where she’s a curator of memes, political discourse, and everything in between. (me)

uchiha sasuke

god, bruh. this dude is basically a social media ghost—he hardly ever posts anything, but when he does, it’s like the internet has just won the lottery. he’s that guy who seems to do absolutely nothing yet somehow manages to grab everyone’s attention. he’s not really into posting on social media, but when he does, it’s always so aesthetically pleasing that you’d think he has a personal stylist and a professional photographer on speed dial. he doesn’t even try to make his posts look good; he just rolls out of bed and somehow manages to be effortlessly cool. man could post a picture of his breakfast and it would still get more likes than your entire feed.

nara shikamaru

this lazy ass (me) would probably end up being a streamer, posting about his win streaks and achievements in every game he plays. despite barely lifting a finger to do anything else, he’d be all over social media, bragging about every victory and high score. he’s the kind of guy who’d stream his gaming marathons from the comfort of his bed, racking up followers while casually lounging around in sweatpants. If there’s a leaderboard, you can bet he’s at the top, and he’s not shy about letting everyone know it.

yamanaka ino

girlie is the famous influencer! she’s always buzzing with posts about the latest fashion trends, beauty tips, and social events. like, you know, the kind of Instagram girlie who’s always flaunting her ootd and setting style standards. she’s practically a fashion icon with every outfit she wears. she’s also the type to post inspirational messages like “wear whatever makes you feel good” or “your body, your choice.” she’s incredibly popular across all her social media platforms and has a tiktok account—she’s all about those thirst traps and dance covers.

my boi would definitely be the type to either watch mukbangs obsessively or become a mukbanger himself. he’d spend hours trying to replicate recipes he’s seen online, turning his kitchen into a culinary experiment zone. and you can bet he’d be posting all about it—sharing his attempts, successes, and occasional fails. his feed would be full of mouthwatering food shots and videos of him devouring his creations, proving that he’s just as passionate about cooking and eating as he is about sharing it with the world.

this dude, much like sasuke, is totally indifferent to social media. he doesn’t bother with frequent posts but when he does, they’re thoughtful and deliberate. you might see him sharing reflections on life, articles he’s stumbled upon, or insightful news about everyday occurrences. he avoids jumping into pointless online drama or trends, yet somehow, he’s always clued in. that’s thanks to lee and tenten, who can’t stop talking about the latest gossip and social media happenings. despite his apparent disinterest, he picks up on all the chatter and remains surprisingly well-informed about the buzz. so, even though he’s a low-key user, he’s never completely out of the loop.

inuzuka kiba

his socials would be about random rants and memes. he’d post exaggerated complaints about the most trivial matters. his feed would be a fucking mess of humorous and offbeat content—think sarcastic comments, goofy polls, and plenty of memes featuring akamaru. he’d frequently stir up controversies, posting impulsively and diving headfirst into debates. his online presence would be a whirlwind of arguments, especially with naruto, where they often argue over who’s the dumbest between them.

hyuga hinata

she’s the type to be a crocheter, the kind you see on tiktok with an account just for her yarn creations. her feed would be packed with posts showcasing her latest crocheting projects—everything from cozy blankets and stylish scarves to adorable amigurumi (crocheted plush toys). she’d share detailed photos and videos of her work. her account would also feature tutorials and tips for fellow crocheters, helping them improve their skills. she might post about her extensive yarn collection, offer free patterns, and give followers a peek into her crafting process. whether she’s showing off her latest masterpiece or sharing a behind-the-scenes look at her studio, her feed would be a inspiring hub for all things crochet.

but of course, the real Spicy Content, the bit that's especially relevant now that we have Galahad sprite sighting (!!) and thus motivated me to actually take the time to writeup this post... Secondary Character One through Four! the staffside squad!! ever since the CCC first dropped ppl have been speculating Adriano as Three due to the mention of him being Brazilian, but I think we actually have enough to work with to place all four of them now! hear me out:

The staffsiders we don't have official art for yet (to the best of my knowledge, I don't have a paypal to sign up for the kofi sub so correct me if there's smth from that I missed) are: Galahad, Adriano, Tatematsu, Hisa, Ibano, and Kurogome (and technically also Godmother but her being a mokosona makes that. Complicated lol)

With Galahad implied for blue we can slot him into One as the other male voice, so that leaves Two and Four. while Two's description is fairly vague her provided quotes fit Tatematsu's voice very well (just picture it in your head and you'll see what I mean), and Four's description fits with Hisa as the one head who actually cares for her employees. so we didn't get official art of those four bc they were slated to get official talksprites all along! only minor counterpoint is that that kind of leaves the other two/three as odd ones out (I would say they're potential White appearances but there weren't any Secondary Characters in that CCC so ehhhhh), but hey, maybe it's just not that deep, idk

I'm the anon who sent in abt the gluten free pizza. Noticed a bit of discourse in the comments and just wanted to make a quick amendment:

To the ppl saying 'there's no difference between an allergy and a preference' yes, there very much is. Anyone who has worked in a high traffic kitchen (as I do) knows modified orders (especially allergies) are a real time eater. If someone requests a gluten free pizza, but only because they're on a low carb diet/prefer the taste etc, I can save time by not having to adhere strictly to allergen protocol. If the customer is celiac, however, I have to make sure I get fresh prep, that the surfaces and equipment are clean, and also ask the severity of the allergy; because we don't have a dedicated oven for GF pizzas, so cross contamination is a possibility I can't let some people risk. That's a lot of time and attention taken away from several other orders. There's no point in going through all that trouble every time if it's just a preferential thing. Saw a few people in the comments saying as much, so thanks to them- y'all clearly get it

As for my response: I don't think I articulated it well considering I only highlighted one part of the interaction, but this lady was INCREDIBLY rude throughout her whole order. It was more then what I wrote, she was being snippy and condescending the entire time even beforehand, and the GF thing was just the cherry on top. If I were less of a person, I could very well have just gone 'well f you bitch, have fun in the hospital' and not bothered to take any amount of care with her order. But I'm not, and I didn't. I'm not going to risk my source of income to be petty, and the idea of intentionally fucking with someone's food makes my skin crawl (mostly cause I wouldn't want that to happen to me- I'm a germophobe and take hygiene very seriously). In saying that, if I want to have a dark thought entertaining the idea over some lady who wanted to treat me like I'm the human equivalent of dogshit on her shoe, sue me. Blowing off steam =/= actually fucking doing it, chillax lol

i agree w u and anon about the whole trying to move it away from content and how they haven't been doing well generally. i've noticed it too and agree that on the marketing side of things that that's the purpose the rebrand is serving.

if anything i have more thoughts/concerns on the clothing/fashion side of it which i am totally not qualified to talk about. anyways not to get on my soapbox in ur asks but my official stance is i want them to make cargos or jeans or some kind of pant and to have cohesive collections like enchante does

sorry to smush all these asks into one post but i think my answer to all of them is pretty similar!

yeah i def think this rebrand is a financial decision more than anything else. i really do think they just diluted the brand way too much, tried to do too much without any real commitment and flooded the market a bit with too many drops so i’ll be intrigued to see whether they manage to turn things around by repositioning it as more of a luxe brand á la enchanté.

there are a few reasons why i think this might be difficult. one: quadrant’s vibe is very different to enchanté’s slightly more grown-up (air quotes) vibe and that kinda focus on ✨living the good life✨ daniel seems to be pushing now. i think enchanté has done a very good job of positioning itself that way and creating that aspirational vibe that people will drop big money on if they can afford it. as 🧸 said, quadrant seem to be aiming for that cool underground moto streetwear vibe which i love and does fit w lando’s aesthetic to an extent, but idk how much crossover there is between fans who are willing to drop ££ for merch and people who are willing to drop £££ for that kinda streetwear? (again, not a marketing professional so genuinely no clue!) but also agreed that focusing more on motorsport and associated “extreme” or “urban” sports like skateboarding makes sense given the fanbase, albeit there’s crossover there with red bull’s USP.

ngl i never cared much for the esports era of quadrant bc i don’t care for esports so i can’t comment on that but i can def see how it must feel like it’s changed a Lot since those days and turned into something else entirely.

as for whether i’m worried about being able to afford it… honestly on a personal level it’s not whether i can afford it bc i have a credit card and poor impulse control, but it’s more about whether i feel higher prices justify what i’m getting. of the previews of the new drop, the knit sweater with the japanese text and the pizza dog looks extremely cool but idk if i’d be willing to drop like, over £100 for it and i suspect it might be more than that. and if they’re charging top whack for hoodies and t-shirts, well… i already have enough of those yk.

Love and War and Snow - (where I live it's actively snowing right now so I will probably watch this one tonight) - this one is just so lovely, and so weird in that there's a mayor/town selectman who isn't Taylor Doose. I love that we get some early Gilmore lore, and it's one of the first times we see Rory with her grandparents without Lorelai and I love seeing them getting to know their granddaughter and she introduces them to frozen pizza.

Also Luke is a curmudgeon but also he didn't leave the town he grew up in for a reason; he might think they're nuts but he'll support them any way they can. It always makes me smile when he says to old mayor guy- "My father would have taken the coffee".

And the Lorelai and Max stuff- idk I always forget just how little we see Lor and Max together before revisting those episodes- but I love how much Lorelai loves snow. And not to be this basic, but there is nothing better than an open window when it's cold outside- like I relate to her so much when she just opens the window and lets the air in and feels it- and I love her and Rory's talk on the couch.

Double Date- this is such a good besties episode. It makes me sad whenever I read the Lorelai and Rory are SUCH BAD FRIENDS, THEY ARE THE WORST!! discourse- like yes there's isolated incidents but by and large they are pretty loyal, and as someone who never found that person I relate to Sookie so much when she's freaking out- also her and Jackson are lowkey adorable and I love when Sookie finally tells Jackson to stay and Rune finally leaves. Also Lorelai's talk with Mrs Kim when Mrs Kim bluntly says- "I didn't throw they key away. It's in the kitchen" and it takes Lorelai a minute to bounce back from that-

(Full disclosure: I could list almost every episode of season four; like that season really is that bitch for me). Every episode is a banger- I love the townie stuff, Rory starting college, the fact that Alexis Bledel can truly try any hairstyle and she'll still be absolutely beautiful, and obviously it was never going to last, but I kind of liked Lorelai and Jason together- idk why, they're interesting to me. But to narrow it down-

The Festival of Living Art- this episode is just so much fun!! (Also should be mentioned I love a town meeting episode) Lorelai adamantly denying that she is a flincher and Rory using her pull so Lorelai can be the Renoir girl and getting to meet Gill (I think I also love anything Sally Struthers says in that raspy voice of hers- "like a good long-haired cake!") and the fact that no matter how many times I see this episode, I will always need to look up how tall Sebastian Bach is just because Lane looks SO TINY standing next to him (he's 6'3". No, I won't remember this later). Also Kirk as Jesus- a serene Last Supper indeed lol.

A Family Matter/Nag Hammadi - you've seen my page, Jess is not my favorite Rory partner, but I love these episodes so much because there's just so much happening!! I love the awkwardness of Lorelai showing Jason around Stars Hollow and how absolutely gorgeous Lauren Graham looks with her long straight hair and that pink peacoat (like this might be shallow of me but this show is just the most aesthetically pleasing show on top of everything else). Also- this is such a good Richard and Emily episode- I don't know which Emily line makes me cackle more- "Don't want those pantyhose with the seams up the back. You look like ten cents a dance" or- "WELL THEY CAN JUST GO STRAIGHT TO HELL THEN CAN'T THEY?!?!" There's extra, and then there's Emily Gilmore. Also, while I think what Jess said to Luke was out of line, I do love the conversation Lorelai and Luke have at her house- also the "do you ever think maybe Sylvia Plath was just cold?" cold open is one of my favorites and something I thought of many times when the heat in my apartment couldn't get above 58 degrees for like three days last month lol)

The Incredible Shrinking Lorelais- I always watch this and Scene in a Mall together because the former of those two captures PERFECTLY how it is when you're like things are fine they're good and they just keep snowballing and it breaks my heart when Lorelai and Rory are trying so hard and just can't reach each other!

Written in the Stars- I mean this episodes fires on all cylinders- also I do love Rory and Logan together- they meet and Lorelai and Luke's first date and another stellar town meeting- this episode does not miss for even a second!

There are a lot more but those are the big ones- I will spout out a bunch more titles- Like Mother, Like Daughter, Application Anxiety, Eight o'clock at the Oasis, Lorelai Out of Water, The Nanny and the Professor, Women of Questionable Morals, Norman Mailer, I'm Pregnant, The Prodigal Daughter Returns, You've Been Gilmored, Lorelai's First Cotillion... I've discussed this before, but I should really make a list of foods my Bill eats/would eat if given the opportunity to pick what he wants to eat. Maybe I'll do that as I eat dinner right now:

Anything that would be super cursed to eat in front of people. Mustard ice cream. Those weird gelatin recipes from the 50s. Flavor doesn't matter, he just wants to cause others who are watching him secondhand pain. Although he DOES like those pickle kits with the wacky flavors and candy.

Adding onto that, sour candy and anything spicy. Pain is fun. He'd probably drink battery acid (as in the concoction kids on Tiktok love making with sour candy and energy drinks) and could physically feel his heart beating behind his eyeballs.

Alcohol, with a preference for margaritas and anything strong. So what if he's twelve, he can't die anyway. What are you, a cop? (Don't underage drink, PLEASE.)

Nachos. Of course. But only the ones with triangle chips.

Any food with a lot of discourse behind it he likes on principle. Pineapple on pizza. Black licorice. Once again, he loves making people angry at him.

Would probably vibe with boba, especially if it has those MASSIVE pearls, although he probably just loves holding one in his mouth like it were an eyeball. Feels familiar. Probably also likes anything with a similar size and shape for the same reason, like peeled oranges or jawbreakers.

Any pasta with bowtie noodles. They match!

Pickles in general. Both the pickle itself and also the juice, which he WILL slurp right out of the jar with a silly straw.

The only thing I dislike on pizza is mushrooms lol anything else is completely fair game including pineapple and anchovies and all the stuff people wrinkle their nose at. anything can be delicious if it’s made well enough that’s how I feel (maybe not mushrooms tho…)

honestly the best way to see people's preference for ship dynamic is like people's love for certain food/beverages. some people like strictly top!*insert character's name*, some people like them as verse, some people like them strictly bottoming; just like some people like pineapple on pizza, or mint chocolate, and etc.

it's nothing deep, except for your reaction to other people's preference IN FRONT OF their face. like imo you can say "ugh i dislike top/bottom!this character" on your own account, thats just venting. if you come to other people's accounts who like the thing that you dislike tho? now thats definitely YIKES.

anyway, i really hope that this discourse goes away from tomarry/harrymort fandom. i guess it's unsurprising that there would be discourses including about this topic with how the ship is getting bigger, but i really hope that we wont get to the point it's prevalent, like 9 out of 10 posts, like in drarry fandom. it's the reason why i left drarry fandom. that, plus how so many of them like to make harry into poc for the sake of making him top draco 💀 the thinly veiled racism is so 💀 (another thing that i hope tomarry/harrymort fandom doesnt come into when they draw tomarry/harrymort).

Walking to gym. The sky is periwinkle. That used to be my favorite color and word. My best friend in fifth grade and sixth grade~named Courtney, loved navy and periwinkle. She died when we were 14 or 15. I couldn't believe it when I heard the news. So I called her home phone and her dad answered and I asked, "is Courtney there?" Ok my hair is sweaty and I'm walking back to boyfriends after gym and grocery store. Got steel scrubbies for dishwashing, lemon ginger kombucha (no caffeine), two prime hydration drinks,(just downed mine real quick), more pepperoni pizza rolls for him and carrots for me! Because I have plant powered ranch sauce already to go with. I'm excited for more banana. But I only eat one or two today, Okie? Jeez Louise. I really go hard on those bananas. No, not anymore. I eat gently, mindfully, considerately. Not ferociously.

Walking walking bladda blah blah. I miss my parents and brother and dog and cats. I miss my cute family home. My mom is so girly and loves to decorate with horses and little critters all over the front yard, not to mention she gardens! I am astounded at our differences. I have gardened, but not well I daresay. I'm good at pulling weeds though! Thats all I can say about my gardening skills with the utmost confidence! My mom is a real life socialite of sorts. Me however, am very friendly online but quiet or goofy in person. My mom loves shopping. I used to abhor consumerism and think less of her for that. As I age I realize we can't help what world we are part of, we can only adapt and survive, sometimes miraculously thrive. But anyway I started becoming a shoppaholic this past September and this October. I remember enjoying the book "confessions of a shoppaholic" when I was younger. That's another boring mundane thing about me.

Perhaps I am more feminine than masculine. But truly it's all just a bunch of fluff. Unnecessary terms to describe sacred sentience. Is that how y'all feel? I find some discourse on tumblr so interesting. I believe I am an uneducated intellectual if one can be such a thing. But I am also very slow, earthy, and scared. Scarred.
