Hi! You've posted about womyn's festivals a lot, and you have a big audience for it, so I wanted to send you this info in an ask to help spread the word to radblr.

MFR (Michigan Framily Reunion) is not happening this year. The woman who puts it on is now promoting 3 camping weekends throughout the year instead, and saying that it will be back next year in 2025.

Though it is unfortunate that MFR is not happening this year, there is a new womyn's festival on the land that happening the week following BMG called RISE. BMG is from July 23-28, and RISE is from July 30-Aug 4. This is the first year of the festival, so people are trying to get the word out! It is also specifically female. RISE is also the festival that WPI is happening alongside this year.

So, if you can't make it to BMG, try RISE! Or, if you can afford it, do both and stay in a womyn-only community for two whole weeks:)

you know thinking about the fact that there's like radios and microphones and stuff canonically in ffxiv leads me to the thought that fiver actually has a perfect job if he ever retires from heroing which is to go full bard and start releasing albums. who isn't going to buy the warrior of light's cd. who isn't going to excitedly tune in if moon rabbit radio says they've got him performing live in studio. he'll be set for life.

Oh, did I ever mention I wanted to start a band? I think I did. Probably. Ages ago. Anyway! We finally did it! We've got a place to practice (it's a place literally for [alternative] youth they are happy to have Us which means no rent and they even have equipment we can borrow it's great) and we finally met up and. It was so. much. fun.

Now we hadn't really talked about shit beforehand because idk it's super easy to get side-tracked but we managed to actually talk very little and cover one and a half songs in like. two hours. i mean it's not a proper cover but we do sound genuinely good together. ig it helps that all of us play instruments already and have played with others before so we know what that's like and we have a very solid understanding of music theory but. still. the only one who actually knows her instrument in the band is our drummer. BUT we STILL sounded actually good. it's so cool. it's SO much fun. my fingers are going to kill me

today we'll start introducing some of wilderin's companions and supporting cast.

First up is Makani, or Maki for short, has quickly become wilderin's first closest friend since coming to town. Maki for a time was a traveling musician, but some years before wilderin, maki would come to settle into town and now performs at the local taverns and during yearly seasonal events.

Maki is a rather charismatic character oozing with self-confidence, and at a first glance one might think him to be rather full of himself, but he's actually rather sweet and empathetic towards those around him. He's the first person to meet wilderin upon him entering town, and the first friend wilderin makes here. Maki is also extremely perceptive able to quickly pick up the smallest details in a room long before anyone else, especially when it comes to detecting signs of trouble or danger.

However for all his great qualities, he's also a crippling alcoholic, and is rather often found getting wasted drunk at the end of every performance, and just about most nights in general. This often makes him a rather unpleasant to be around, especially during the mornings when he's hungover. He doesn't stop caring about those around him but he's extremely irritable, and quick to lash out when drunk and hungover. Although in spite of this he does put effort into not hurting those he cares about, even if he's unwilling to change this habit, and when he does hurt his friends he does everything to make it up to them.
