Thinking about History Teacher Rengoku and his little earthy librarian girlfriend who helps him pick out books for his class. Your hair up in a cute little scarf to match your outfit your fingers adorned with rings and your hoops on your ears, your wrist covered in those pretty beaded bracelets, your tummy out and your wearing that cute jean skirt embroidered with a cute koi fish on the side. Rengoku couldn’t help but admire you from a far peering at you from the window in your quaint little store before peaking his bright head of hair in. He stood there watching you shelf books swaying along with the music you have playing in the store. His heart growing bigger by the second as he watched you in your own little environment humming along and skimming through some of the books. Rengoku clears his throat alerting you of his presence chuckling at your wide eyed stare. “It’s only me darling, I came by on my lunch break to visit you!” He says walking closer wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you into him. “Hi sugar.” You grin pressing a kiss to his cheek. “Did you wanna see the new books I got for the week?” You peer up at him excitedly. “Of course show me all the new ones, oh and there’s this really nice restaurant opening up downtown we should go on a date together soon.” Rengoku says swaying you side to side before letting you go off and show him you new books.

Favorite Color:

Green. Like Blindingly Neon almost yellow bile/acid toxic hazmat pukey green. Also black. I'm also a fan of earthy tones, warm greys and browns, rusty orangey reds, and i also unironically love that "some smoker lived here for 5+ years but i swear the walls are white" sepia color.

Last song:

Either Childish Flamingo or 1x1. I've been hopping in between really screamy and just goofy shit atm because i cant focus with anything else. 🤷 But (I also jsut got a new BMTH hoodie) BMTH's post human album has been feeding me. It's a really good (visual? no.) example of that like just angry and over it nihilist feeling and I just *MUNCH CRUNCH AAAA* like i feel like it could be just the tiniest bit angrier and louder but i think that's my headphones.

as for childish flamingo, its like that miseryxcpr thing imo. It's goofy and funny and it slaps. and it's so catchy. it's like right on the edge of aha funny and fuck you street and i love it. i hope any of that makes sense im sorry lol.

Last movie:

the Demon Slayer movie. I skipped all the way to the end to see the fight between Akaza and Rengoku because they're two of my favs ( in order from that show: Uzui (my mom calls yuzu (my cat) Uzui and its adorable) Akaza and Rengoku. I Found out the english dub is out (im way behind) and just needed to hear their english voice acting. all of it is amazing and Akaza's lil gigles during the fight make me incredibly happy. Guys who laugh/giggle mid combat? Ugh >\\x//<

Currently Watching:

Demon Slayer, Chainsaw man, Tokyo ghoul (im rewatching a bunch of animes) Steven universe. (i love all of these and full recommend them. I literally just yesterday(or the day before idk time is a blur) got a new funko pop, it's the half-kakuja kaneki and i love it.)

Other stuff i've watched this year:

Spy x Family, the Junji ito Collection, Yamishibai (if you like picture style art and horror this is great, its somewhat junji ito like, but shorter stories and ngl the zanbai ep scared me a bit) psychpass (some reccomended this to me cause im (obviously) a fan of darker more gruesome shows, and it is very dystopian, love the art work, but i just dont get it.) Given (if you havent watched this show please watch it its amazing) Yuri on ice, Banana Fish (also another fave)

(I work from home, and pretty much exist at my computer, and need to keep on music or tv to keep the bad thoughts out, so i have a lot of time and opportunity to watch stuff ok)

Shows I dropped this week:

Psycho pass. again, i just couldnt get into it. I know a lot of people seem to really like and it full seems like a show that would be up my alley. that first ep was kind of a lot though. I'm not ashamed to admit i love shows that are unafraid to show nudity and violence but the two together (ifykyk) make me uncomfortable. If this case had been a little further in the show i think it would have been fine, but it's litterally the first like ten minutes of the show. I also tried watching this a few week ago while at wasteland but we were pretty much just out the door.

Devil May Cry. I still love the games and the characters, and i remember loving the anime as a kid but its just... so different from the games lmao.

Currently Reading:

random internet stuff, fics and shit. I feel bad because i used to go to the library all the time but at the same time, i dont really have the room to store a whole bunch of books and despite being super dyslexic, i read insanely fast, so renting/buying books isnt worth it to me. (i've read entire full length series in the span of a day or two, while doing other stuff. I need longer, more conveniently packaged novels and that typically comes in the form of fanfiction. )

SK8 THE INFINITY 🛹

Favorite Character: Reki, hands down it's Reki. He's just such a great character to me, honestly a little bit of relatable (both as someone who isn't sure of themselves and having siblings).

Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: The beach episode is definitely my favorite episode. But I gotta say the epilogue scene he has with his family is one of my favorite scenes because it's so damn cute!

Favorite Ship/Pairing: Reki/Langa is my favorite! They're just so cute!

Character I Think is Underrated: Oka is one, Sketchy is another. But a really underrated character? Miki. She's the green haired woman seen in the first episode. Made a post about how she should be a more major SK8 character. I like her design very much and I just think she should be a bigger part of the cast as a skater.

Character I Think is Overrated: Ooh, it's like most of the main cast... Reki is definitely one, Langa is one, too... Shadow is more underrated though... but it's definitely Joe and Cherry!

Something I Love About the Show/Movie: What mostly drawn me in to the show was the vibrant colors. I love colors and the aesthetic of the show is a bonus to me. Also, I love that Reki isn't like some big shot protagonist where he can outskate everyone and anybody. Really like it took an opposite approach, and hone in that he was the more creative type.

DEMON SLAYER 🗡

Favorite Character: Tanjiro! He is just so precious, kind and badass! (And it will always gets me how he got that hard ass forehead he got from his mom.)

Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: Just any time he interacts with Nezuko will always touch my heart. One scene I adore a lot is from the Swordsmith Village arc when Tanjiro braids her hair to mimic Mitsuri's style. It was just too cute. Ooh, but overall my favorite arc so far has to be the Entertainment District arc. Gyutaro and Daki actually became my favorite antagonists because of that arc. And the opening for that arc in the anime is one of my favorite songs.

Favorite Ship/Pairing: I actually had to stop and think for this one. "Do I have a favorite ship here?" Okay, I gotta admit Tengen with his wives are cute. (Watching the anime in dub though becomes something else when you also watch JJK in dub and realize Sukuna and Uraume are married here.)

Character I Think is Underrated: Hmm... I wanna say Mitsuri for this one. Every since the Swordsmith Village arc came out, everywhere I turn there's some video on how Muichiro put in work in his fight scenes, and he did. I applaud that precious little misty guy. But I don't see a lot or even a little praise for Mitsuri and she was whipping that sword!! If anything, that is very impressive that she has a sword like that!!

Character I Think is Overrated: Ah... I gotta say it's tie between Uzui and Rengoku. But before anyone gets on my ass, I do adore both characters very much. (Remember seeing a post that had the absolute nerve to put Rengoku on the list of "frauds".)

Something I Love About the Show/Movie: That anime definitely deserved the animation award. But for me, it's definitely the character designs. The art style makes those designs pop and a lot of the way the characters look pleases me. Like the demons? They don't look like your average demons. One of the reasons why Tanjiro is my favorite is because of his character design.

MY HERO ACADEMIA ✨️

Favorite Character: If you have been following since forever, you already know I'm going to say my favorite two are Miruko and Midoriya. They're both my #1s.

Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: The first half of Miruko's episode. I'll be honest... while I do like Kaminari, every time I rewatch that episode I just watch the Miruko parts. Another episode I really like is the dorm episode because it's mostly like a feel-good episode for me.

Favorite Ship/Pairing: It's Burnin/Miruko for me. "They haven't inter---" Ah! I am allowed to ship characters who haven't interacted and I adore them. Right now, they are my top ship.

Character I Think is Underrated: A lot of them. 😭 First person that comes to mind is Rock Lock. I would question, too, why kids are at a meeting about a dangerous situation. He's a husband and a dad and he loves his family! Of course, he would ask that!

Character I Think is Overrated: In-Universe, Hawks. I'm sorry, but every time there is a scene that showcases how he has many fans I just make this face 😐. He's like that famous gut almost everyone and their mama loves but you are just like "... what's so great about him". I mean, I get it, I do and I like Hawks. But... Also by the fandom, other than Hawks, Dabi and Bakugou. I feel like I don't have to explain here. Again, characters I like, but they are overrated. "But, Kiya, you like Midoriya!" I do! And I don't know if there is another popularity poll coming up, but if he doesn't get #1 on that I will scream. Come on, 9th poll? He is the 9th OFA user?

Something I Love About the Show/Movie: Definitely the range of quirks here. Some quirks, Horikoshi definitely got creative with. Also, say what you want, I like how some of the common tropes are here, but not exactly. Weird thing to be happy about, but I was happy I had to guess who the protagonist was because Midoriya didn't look like the typical one. (I didn't watch the first season first.)

JUJUTSU KAISEN 😈

Favorite Character: Yuji Itadori! He is my sunshine! Also a little feral and will take your kneecaps. Like Midoriya, I find he's not really the typical protagonist. He has some traits, but others you don't see too often in protagonists.

Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: I do like the Shibuya Incident and Culling Game Arcs. Personally, for me, and yes I'm a little bias, my favorite scenes are those with Yuji. My favorite fight scene is his fight against Choso. Now, for the Culling Game Arc, I really enjoyed the fight between Uro, Ryu and Yuta. Mostly because Uro was the best character for me there. But fight scenes aside, I gotta say that other scenes I enjoy are those scenes Yuji has with Megumi and Nobara.

Favorite Ship/Pairing: ItaFushi is the first ship I got into! It's just... it makes me want to cry. Also, NobaMaki! Oh my gosh, that scene they have after the small confrontation with Mai? Love that scene!!

Character I Think is Underrated: The Kyoto students as a whole. My favorite out the bunch is Kasumi Miwa. She's just so silly, kind and come on. I know she says she's frightened at times, but she's also really brave to still fight. I admire that.

Character I Think is Overrated: Once season 2 came, I swear Toji has been a favorite almost overnight! Don't blame the fans, of course. And, no surprise, Gojo and Sukuna.

Something I Love About the Show/Movie: If I need a story to break my heart, I know I can just look to JJK! And I mean not in a dramatic way, I mean like "I'm watching a horror movie and the character I hot attached to too fast dies". Okay, for real though, one of the strongest points for me is the characters. I find a lot of the characters entertaining and intriguing. Even if it's a character I don't practically like. When it comes to the characters, I actually don't get bored of them. There's probably a couple I don't really care for. Also, unpopular opinion, I do like Akutami's art style from the beginning and to end. The style before has this charm to it I just like and it's the same for the style now.

This post will tell you about the fandoms that I will be writing! These are some new fandoms that I have or in the middle of knowing them. I wanted to give more people some more options on requests and to spark some things up a little more!

Demon Slayer ~ I’ve seen and heard about Demon Slayer. I’m just in the middle of it. I like the anime! I tried to make a fanfic on it like a long while back but I could never figure out how to start it. But now, I am able to put some in some work.

Diabolik Lovers ~ Now I don’t really talk about the anime but I do know stuff about it and i’ve seen it. you can say that it’s fine if you request any topic with this anime. I don’t mind!

Death Note ~ I can say that i’m kinda in the middle but not. Ive seen it and heard of it. I may how to rewatch some parts or try to get to know the characters personality since I haven’t watched it in like forever. But I have some good memory.

Genshin Impact ~ I used to love the game, I still do it’s just that I don’t play it anymore, I kinda lost interest but it was still very fun (yet frustrating) to play it. I’ve actually done some genshin impact writing awhile back before I got here.

Ouran High School Host Club ~ This anime has brought back so many memories. Me and my friend watched it and it was..okay. I still remember some parts and i’ve watched and seen it. Nobody really talks about anymore but who knows maybe there’s some people out there that still go on about it.

HXH ~ i’ve watched and seen the anime but not fully. I liked it, it made me laugh in some parts and I really enjoyed it. It’s just that i’ve never finished it but I guess you can say this is where the small clips of the anime come in. For me I almost never see anyone talk about it, the last time I heard people talk about it was in mid 2022.

Soul Eater ~ I really liked the anime when I watched it. I may have to rewatch it to gather the characters personalities again but overall I enjoyed it.

Saiki K ~ I love the anime sm!!! I really enjoyed watching it and all the funny moments that happened in the show really added onto my love for it.

Well, let's break this down step by step, shall we? First of all, I am not "shitting" on KnY. This is quite obvious when you consider my past reviews about the series. Did I think S3 was subpar? Yeah, you bet I did. Do I believe KnY is a bad anime? Hell no. I think you forgot to read half the thread. You seem to be a hardcore shonen fan, though, so I don't expect you to have over 50 IQ. And like it or not, Tokito is nowhere near as good as Rengoku or Uzui 🤷

That second statement honestly made me laugh because it shows you really understood nothing of my thread. But hey, that's okay. I don't mind explaining it again for the mentally challenged. First of all, thanks a lot for reading my stories! It makes the stats go up, so I'm glad! Now, I realize I am not a professional writer and don't intend to ever become one. I write in my free time because I find it fun. Allow me to find it slightly concerning that my plot twists are more detailed and less pulled out of my ass (where there's no stick, mind you) than the ones we got this season. After all, I never once claimed that my writing was excellent: I merely said that S3 had poorer writing than my fics. It's also poorer than much of the fanfic content out there... and it's also poorer than the writing in both S1 and 2.

Now, I had never dealt with fanboys before, to be honest, so this is a new experience for me. I see that you guys do exist - and honestly, you're just as ridiculous as people say. I understand you're butthurt because someone criticized your beloved piece of media, but please turn your brain on before sending asks like this one. Given you have one, of course. It's wasting both my time and yours.

Hi dudes! So I've been rewatching/thinkin about some old short faves that I feel like don't get enough attention so I thought I'd rec some anime if anyone's looking for somethin good to watch and why.

Dororo (2019) - 1 season

Criminally underrated. Literally only one season so you should watch it. It's got Demon Slayer vibes so if you like that, I'd give it a try.

Hellsing Ultimate (2006) - 1 season

Tbh I didn't really like it until I forced myself to watch the whole thing. It's got a funky animation style but the characters are really unique and it's a fun watch. Plus Universal Studios made it for some reason??? Also VERY gory tho just a warning.

Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress (2016) - 1 season + movie

I will fight for this one til my grave. I don't pick favorites. Nevermind I do. It's this one. It's like Attack on Titan except on a train. Never had a show where I've liked every single character. Except Mumei she sucks.

Death Parade (2015) - 1 season

It's cute and sad. Plus it's got a mystery.

Literally like 3 eps. How can you not watch it? I've seen this spike a little bit on Tumblr. But not near as much as it should. Made by the same guy who created Bleach.

Ghost Stories Dub (2001) - 1 season

Ok this show is terrible in every possible way. Very offensive but also very hilarious. I think what happened is basically it tanked in Japan so they just gave it to an American dub studio and said do whatever you want. So it doesn't follow the original dialog. Even better that way tho.

Fate/Zero (2011) - 2 Seasons

Ok I know the Fate saga is really popular but also like, noone talks about it??? I haven't watched all of them because the watch order is confusing af but this one is a prequel so it can stand on its own. Good characters overall.

Vinland Saga (2019) - 1 Season Cont.

Again popular but also not popular? It's a good one to watch if you wanna dip your toes into anime without just jumping full on into the weird shows 😂 Plus season 2 is coming soon! 🥳

Hi! Regarding your lovely post on ableism towards Shiro~

I loved it! Very well articulated points about example of real life ableism in Voltron! These are my thoughts regarding the same topic as a chronically ill person!

(note: I personally only deal with physical illnesses, but most of this can be applied to mental illnesses as well.)

When I first watched season 7 and learned that Shiro had (for all intensive purposes) an invisible illness(please let me know if I’m wrong, I haven’t rewatched the show in months) I was super excited as I also deal with two invisible illnesses and I love Shiro! (Not to mention that most representation regarding disabilities take place in a slice of life scenario. Like no, I wanna be a chronically ill Jujustu Sorcerer, Demon Slayer, Voltron Paliden, Super Hero, Spy, Detective, all the cool stuff!)

I hoped there would be more discussion (in the show not your amazing post) about how Shiro feels obligated to hide it as to not burden Keith or those around him, or even so he can keep his job(going to space)

Not only that, but when Shiro is faced with the option to decide on his own what he is and isn’t capable of doing, Adam threatens to leave him if he chooses to go on the mission. Punishing him for deciding to push past his illness. Shiro is also shown as the bad guy for making this decision.

While I know that being a chronically ill person’s loved one can be very hard and emotionally taxing, this is not a valid reason to gaslight them and punish them for making their own decisions.

I’ve seen some people say “it’s a kids show, they shouldn’t have to tackle heavy topics like those.” However, I find this idea to be ableist in itself and let me explain why.

Saying that a topic like chronic illnesses is too “dark” for children implies that people who struggle with them should hide it. This idea is really just people wanting the minority to be silenced, as in “your problems are too sad or uncommon, so let’s not bring them up.” But this only makes it harder for them to get things like accommodations or accessibility. It also creates a generation of children who don’t understand that some people have different needs than most.

Children can and will have Chronic Illnesses. When season 7 came out, I had just turned 14 and had been dealing with my illnesses for at least 2 years at that point. I loved shows like Avatar:the last air-bender, and a multitude of animes that had good characters who happened to have either disabilities or illnesses, and were children, going to school, and trying to do normal things like all their friends. The lack of this representation is what makes people like me grow up thinking that we should hide who we are or that we are abnormal. And we are abnormal, as in the minority. But! and listen to this, Almost half of the population has at least one chronic illness. However, most children do not, as most illnesses developed later in life, or at least past puberty. Therefore, good representation for this group could be the difference in a child’s self esteem and self-worth.

Let me also talk about how Shiro’s illness was completely taken away… twice.

When Shiro’s arm is replaced by a robotic one pre season 1, it just so happens to be the same arm that is effected by his illness. His illness was only revealed in season 7, leading me to believe it was thrown in there as a plot device to create conflict between Shiro and Adam to explain why he never talked about him during his time in space.

Any notion that the illness could appear in another part of his body is completely wiped out as his body is replaced by the body of his clone. So he is completely “cured” by…well dying… but ok!

This kinda says to me that people who have chronic illness should get better or die LMAO. Shiro did not struggle at all with this, he still went on the mission and then was virtually cured.

Anyway, I love Shiro as a character, I just can’t help but feel his illness was thrown in for brownie points similar to how his queerness was thrown in there with little regard to audience members who are actually apart of those communities. Like yes, you have a character that is technically gay, and disabled, and of color, and chronically ill, but it doesn’t matter if you don’t actually talk about it.

I try not to comment too much on the Shiro Queer-Baiting Situation because I’m not apart of the queer community so it doesn’t feel like my place. But, I felt it had some similarities to this one, so I made note of it!

I saw your anti-Bangel I Will Remember You post, and if I remember correctly, didn’t Angel ask the powers to swallow the day because the Powers That Be told his Buffy was going to die? And him turning back time would either allow him to help her in the battle to come, or prevent her death entirely? Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but isn’t it about Angel being selfless and giving up the one thing he’s always wanted to keep Buffy safe and alive? Love you blog btw

I think that before that point he's already fucked up by even going to them to talk about all this without having talked to her first. That's the whole problem, he thinks it's up to him to protect her like a little child as though she doesn't deserve a say in the matter. All this concerns her. Even if they hadn't swallowed the day and just turned him back he still should have talked to her. Because he's making decisions that will severely impact their relationship and as such her life because he thinks he needs to protect her (which she has said he doesn't) without consulting her. Or even telling her. Like "hey Buffy I'm going to ask them to turn me back" "but angel then we can't be together why???" *insert bangel drama*. End in the end Buffy would have ended up agreeing with him if he had been like "I need to do this to protect the people" because she understands that. ( on top of all this there's the fact that angel simultaneously is like "can't be with Buffy as a human because I need to be a strong vampire to protect her and would only get in the way" and also "can't be with Buffy as a vampire because she needs a normal human guy and life" like should Buffy just stay single forever.) 

I think one of the reasons I am so incredibly mad at angel in this episode and this episode as a whole is that it starts with this conversation:

(I took the dialog from the transcripts wiki because I didn't want to have to rewatch the entire thing myself.) 

Angel: "Well, umm, it's good to.. Can I get you anything?" 

Buffy: "How about - an explanation? - Who do you think you are coming to my town and following me around behind my back?" 

Angel: "I'm sorry." 

Buffy: "What is this? (...)" 

... 

"(...) What are we playing here?" 

Angel: "We're not. I'm not playing anything. I wrestled with this decision.." 

Buffy: "Which you made without me." 

(this line is so important to me. They start the episode with this and then instead of really exploring this and maybe dealing with the persistent problem in Buffy and angels relationship where he doesn't allow her to make these choices or communicate with her they just ignore this and let him continue to do the same bullshit she calls him out for and then try to make it romantic. Wtf) 

Angel: "I tried to do what I thought was right. It's complicated how this all happened, Buffy, you know? (...)" 

... 

Buffy: "You didn't feel that I was important enough to even tell me that you were there." 

Angel looks at her: "I'm trying to explain. It's because I felt that you're important that I didn't tell you."  (what are you on about angel?? "I don't tell you things because I care. I go behind your back because I care." what kinda Kindergarten "he's mean because he likes you" bullshit is this) 

Buffy: "I'm a big girl now, Angel. I'm not in High School anymore. A lot has happened in my life since you left." 

Angel: "I know. I respect that." ( maybe show that by not doing the same thing again angel) 

Buffy: "And I don't need you skulking around, trying to protect me. (...)" 

I really don't know how much clearer she could be. Don't make choices behind my back trying to protect me. She literally traveled to LA to tell him this. That's how much it bothered her. 

Also the fact that he leaves while she's sleeping without telling her. Like yes he is human now and the curse isn't in effect but that doesn't change the fact that she has trauma about sleeping with guys and them not being there in the morning. He might not know about Parker but he knows what happened the last time they slept together and he can't be that oblivious to how that affected her and how him just leaving in the night without waking her or even leaving a fucking note is just fucked. It's fucked. And if he really doesn't understand this he doesn't understand her and lacks basic fucking empathy.

Buffy: "Where is Angel?" 

(some back and forth) 

Cordy with a sigh: "He told me not to tell you." 

What the fuck angel?? Not just not telling her but explicitly telling others to not give her information and keep her out of the loop.???. That isn't some oversight oops I forgot that is an active choice to keep her in the dark about things and not allow her any agency to make choices. 

(side note: I generally love cordy but "(...) And anyway, it's your fault that he went to fight that thing by himself without..". Yeah no. Don't go blaming Buffy for angels choices. She's not responsible for any of this. She didn't make this choice. Angel made sure of that.) 

And about the oracles 

Angel: "The Mohra demon said the end of days had begun. That others were coming, soldiers of darkness. I need to know if he was telling the truth."

Man: "As far as such things can be told." 

(super vague and literally my point. "as far as such things can be told" nothing is written in stone. Prophecy gets misinterpreted. It is not fact.) 

Angel: "What happens to the Slayer when these soldiers come?"

Woman: "What happens to all mortal beings. Albeit sooner in her case."

Angel: "She'll die? - Then I'm here to beg for her life." 

(she was prophecied to die and survived it before. Like you can't take any of this at face value. And she gets brought back the next time too and him being or not being a vampire has nothing to do with it) 

The Oracles turn and walk away: "It is not our place to grant life or death."

Angel: "And I ask you to take mine back. (The oracles stop walking and turn back to him) Look I can't protect her or anyone this way, not as a man."

Woman: "You're asking to be what you were, a demon with a soul, because of the Slayer?"

(they don't say shit about him needing to be a vampire to save her life or him being able to better protect her or him being able to avoid her death if he isn't human. He makes that assumption. And they are just mildly intrigued by the whole situation but they are not saying he's right) 

Man turns to leave again: "Oh, this is a matter of love. It does not concern us."

Angel: "Yes, it does. The Mohra demon came to take a warrior from your cause - and it succeeded. I'm no good to you like this. I know you have it in your power to make this right. Please." 

(they consider doing it after he let's them know that he will also be no good to the powers that way. But this is unrelated to Buffy and this is the thing that then makes them think of a way to do it. Because they realize him being a vampire is good for them. Not Buffy. Yes Buffy is his motivation but they just vaguely talk around it and never confirm to him that as a vampire he can save her life. He just wants to believe that because it fits into his martyr complex. And again. He can't actually save her as a vampire. ) 

So basically I hate angel in this episode and I hate that the episode frames all of his bullshit as romantic. 

But thank you for the question anon. Ranting about angel is very cathartic for me.

lazy days mean neither of you have to cook so you're on food duty!! picking between pizza and thai is a chore so like it's harder than you'd expect. plus, the bakery down the street delivers!!! so you get fresh chocolate chip cookies!!! and oatmeal bc they're kenma's favorite (occasionally you'll get kuroo chocolate chunk cookies so he doesn't annihilate yours)

he lets you paint his nails if you’re super bored. he doesn’t really like drawing attention to himself so he won’t go for super duper bright colors but i think he’ll be okay with black?? it’ll look good and he loves it when you touch his hands so it’s a win-win situation here

December 2020 Watched Anime

Death Parade (Season 1 - 12 episodes)

What a great show to start out the month. It’s a short anime about people who are sent into a purgatory like area and its decided if they get reincarnated or put into the void. Definitely worth the watch and it also has a great op. I watched it on hulu. Trigger warnings for sexual assault and suicide.

Demon Slayer Season 1 (rewatch)

I really do love this show and it’s animation so much. I’m also super excited for the new movie coming out soon in the USA!

Banana Fish (26 episodes)

I normally don’t like mlm shows, but this one was good. It’s a mafia/gang show that takes place in NYC when a Japanese boy meets a gang leader American guy. The plot was well written and touched my heart and the fight scenes were always so interesting to watch. I watched it on Amazon Prime. TW: sexual abuse, child abuse, child sex trafficking, rape

Fire Force (Season 2 - 24 episodes)

Season 2 was pretty good, I think they are doing a decent job and I got really excited about some of the soul eater easter eggs. I watched this on Crunchyroll.

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic (25 episodes)

I wasn’t expecting this show to be what it is. Thought it was going to be a cute adventure anime about the boy with the blue hair and I was so wrong. It tackles some darker themes like slavery and corruption. Overall I recommending giving this one a shot even though I do have some criticisms about it. But I think people should start with the adventures of sinbad first. I watch this on Netflix.

Jujutsu Kaisen (First Half of Season 1 - 13 episodes)

This has definitely become one of my favorite anime and I’m even considering reading the manga. I’ve been loving the plot, characters, and fight scenes. If you can please watch this show! You can find it on Crunchyroll.

Your Lie in April (22 episodes)

This was a cute coming of age story, but it’s pretty sad. I wouldn’t say it was my favorite cause the classical music wasn’t my thing and it felt slow. It was also a very pretty anime that used cgi well. I watch it on Hulu but it can also be found on Netflix.

Since you are into anime.. Do you have some recomendation? Like from last year?

Some that I had from last year was demon slayer, dorohedoro, food wars, hxh and cells at work and I remember I had a few more but I can’t find the post for that rn. But if I can find it again I’ll leave a link to it so the full list is there

This year’s recs is kinda short on new stuff cuz I’ve been rewatching/watching some older anime but I’ll put the newest ones at the top and the older ones closer to the bottom

Moriarty the patriot - Ngl I didn’t know this was a Sherlock Holmes anime and I was watching it for the guy people dubbed the mafia Kuroo who I now know is actually called Sebastian Moran

Banana fish - ….. that shit got me fucked up. I think it was one of the most wholesome relationship I’ve seen between two male characters in supposed yaoi a long time. Only saying supposedly since I’ve seen people call this a yaoi but I’m not too sure if it’s officially labelled as one but I I understand why it’s called yaoi by many

Devils line - okay so this was released in 2016 but I think the dub came way later. But anyways it’s about vampires and it’s really good in my easily pleased opinion. It’s about a guy who’s half vampire named Anzai who falls in love with a human girl and it not only deals with their romantic relationship but also the relationship between humans and devils (they call them that in the anime and manga) and how there’s also an underground organization that’s trying to kill off all vamps. It’s only got 1 season and bitches be hoping for a season 2 to come eventually cuz I wanna know what happens so rn I’m buying all the mangas for it. Outside of that another reason I think people would like it is cuz there’s a couple that was homosexual and one was asexual many of the devil and human couples have a relationship that doesn’t involve sex, and and involves very little kissing too sometimes so I think that’s something that’ll interest someone. I can talk more about it in a separate post cuz it’ll get really long

Beastars/beastars season 2 - the only warning I gotta give is that it’s more mature then I expected and you’ll probably end up simping for Legoshi. I know I kinda did but that’s because I was so attracted to the voice of his English and Japanese actors

Fire in his fingertips - it was an accident that lead me to watching hentai for an hour but Souma is fine as hell so I’m just gonna shut up

Kuroko no basket - it’s a sports anime but it kinda feels like a video game sometimes with how powered up the main characters are but it’s still enjoyable to me. And it also has the guy who is Hawk’s English voice as Kagami

Ouran high school host club - I know I’m late to this game but it took a whole ass 5 or 6 years for the animation style to grow on me so I decided to watch it and I was enjoying it more then I expected

My hero - also late to the game but I said fuck it and watched it now. It’s fun to watch and has very little filler, and it really is just the fans that make it weird

Angel’s egg - okay so this one is probably the oldest on the list with its release date being in 1985 but it has beautiful animation style, and anyone can watch it since there is very little dialogue for you to read through

My love story!!

Now for a disappointment and so far it’s only been one with it being record of Ragnarok. Don’t get me wrong, reading the summery made it sound interesting and I heard the manga is very popular as well but the anime didn’t live up to the expectations. A lot of the scenes were static and that included the fight scenes so that made for pretty boring fight scenes. Static images was used for too many of the fight scenes so your attention will drift when you’re supposed to be watching Zeus and Adam the first man fight it out along with the 2 other matches. If there ever is a reboot made for it I’d only watch it if there was a better studio that took on the project cuz these guys missed the mark

I adore Inosuke, but I'm gonna do my favorite here!

My first impression: "Aaaaw, he's an older brother! Hope nothing bad happens! Ha ha... ha..."

My impression now: He is my favorite Demon Slayer character and jumped on the list of my favorite anime characters. I just think he's great!

Favorite thing about that character: Is it fair to say his personality? He's such a sweet, likeable kid. Even so, he is quick to tell someone off about their behavior. Even with demons having sad backstories, he'll still feel sorry for you, but you gotta die. Reminds me if another that I'll mention later... Also, the fact that he has that strong damn forehead and nose.

Least favorite thing: The amount of times Tanjiro has put his body on the line always has me about to scream. Like, sweetie, please... still adore him though.

Favorite line/scene: Tanjiro just has many scenes I favor. One that comes to mind is when he tells Muichiro how "life has a way of awarding good deeds and how often times when you're helping others you're helping yourself" and he'll go help him find the swordsmith and the way Muichiro reacts was just... dude was like "say that again", all amazed and I don't blame him.

Favorite interaction that character has with another: Of course, I love Tanjiro's interactions with Nezuko. One of my favorite interactions, that come to mind, they have is when he's braiding her hair and talking with her. It's just too cute! Also how he interacts with Zenitsu and Inosuke, love that. Especially, with Zenitsu, the face Tanjiro makes is too funny. He's like unimpressed with his behavior. That face is literally a meme. And with Inosuke, when he wakes up right after the fight in the Entertainment District and Inosuke is in the ceiling and Tanjiro is just laying there unfazed by his behavior.

A character that I wish that character would interact with more: I know we got a bit of them in the beginning and they pop up here and there, but I do wish we had more of the Kamado family. Like... my heartstrings... damn you, Muzan.

Another character from another fandom that reminds me of that character: Circling back around, Tanjiro reminds me of Izuku Midoriya from My Hero Academia. Green boys with red thrown in there, adorable badasses with good hearts, looks out for those younger than them, tends to sacrifice their lives to save others (while making me rip out my hair because OH MY GOSH... YOU'RE IM CRITICAL CONDITION, GO LAY DOWN), a day apart in birthdays, bad guys can have sad backstories but they will still let that bad guy know they're in the wrong.

A headcanon about that character: After rewatching the Entertainment District Arc recently, I do headcanon that Tanjiro probably has sung some lullabies to his siblings every now and again. He kinda slowed down after they got older, but after what happened with those demon siblings, he finds himself doing it again for Nezuko.

A song that reminds of that character: This song also reminds me of another character, too. Matsuri by Fujii Kaze. I've been listening to that song nonstop lately. It just has this soothing, happy rhythm to it that reminds me of Tanjiro. I think it's a fitting song for him.

An unpopular opinion about that character: Hm... I don't think I actually have one for Tanjiro! Probably that he is a very likeable and it's hard to hate him? Oh, and I like him with long hair. His shorter hair is nice, too.

- you first met tanjirou when you were making your way to the drum house

- you saw that he was a fellow demon slayer so why not stick with each other yknow

- teamwork makes the dream work

- “hi i’m y/l/n y/n!! what’s your name??”

- “i’m kamado tanjirou!! how old are you??” you tell him your age and luckily you guys were close to each other’s ages

- but then you could sense the presence of a demon coming from the box tanjirou was carrying on his back

- but tanjirou suddenly comes out and yells at you to stop and that demon slayers weren’t allowed to raise their blades against one another

- after inosuke woke up he threatened to beat the shit out of you but you just ignored him and continued to help tanjirou and zenitsu bring the bodies back outside

- after burying everyone, you guys decided to make your way to the wisteria house to get some rest and heal up

- on the way there and during your stay there inosuke wouldn’t leave you the fuck alone

- inosuke felt his heart beat a little faster in his chest,,,what did that mean?? is he tired or something?? but why did seeing you cut spider daddy’s arm make his heart go boom boom

- as the battle goes on, tanjirou was yEETED to the next dimension, leaving only you and inosuke to fight against daddy long legs

- “DONT DIE BOTH OF YOU”

- hah as if you’d die without confessing to inosuke

- wait what

- your thoughts are suddenly interrupted when spidaddy suddenly lunges at you but you were luckily able to get out of the way

- “oI PAY ATTENTION”

- after some time inosuke was able to slice through arachne daddy’s arms but it suddenly ran away

- “oi inosuke lets go”

- boom boom

- there it was AGAIN

- maybe he needed to see a doctor

- you follow the demon only to see it shedding its skin and regaining its arm back

- what the fuck

- eND ME NOW

- you glance at inosuke but he isn’t budging

- you’re suddenly filled with fear when you realize that inosuke was accepting the fact that he was going to be defeated

- you were about to yell at him until

- “no way am i going to lose. i’m hashibira inosuke of the demon slaying corps!”

- whew

- you let inosuke take the lead as you knew that he was filled with new determination to kill this demon and get you two to safety

- but when the demon got its hands on inosuke you were suddenly filled with an immeasurable amount of rage

- you lunged at the demon and stabbed your blades into both of its shoulders

- it let out a piercing scream as you dig your blades even further into its flesh

- but suddenly a flash and inosuke was on the floor with the demons arms

- you turned your head and saw the water pillar, tomioka giyuu

- “gIyUU-SAN thank god!! could you please finish him off? i need to fix inosuke up” and he just nods at you and gets crack-a-lackin

- he defeats spider daddy in a span of 2 seconds while you and inosuke are mesmerized by his skill and technique

- as he makes his way deeper in the woods he is stopped by inosuke calling out to him

- “HOLD UP FIGHT ME MISMATCHED HAORI”

- and at that point you were too tired and exhausted to listen to inosuke or to baby sit him

- so you knock him out and smile sheepishly at giyuu

- after giyuu left, all the exhaustion seeps into your bones causing you to pass out right on top of inosuke, making you unconsciously snuggle into his chest

- by the time you wake up you were already at shinobu’s butterfly estate. surprisingly you were the first one up from your friends

- you looked at the bed beside yours and saw that you were in between zenitsu and inosuke

- you slowly slipped out of bed and sat on inosuke’s

- dumbass still had his mask on

- you slowly examine his body to see how his wounds were healing and they were healing pretty well

- you moved your hands to touch his own, feeling how warm and rough they were from long hours of practicing his swordsmanship
