Oh yes yes! I'm curious how well you're ocs are with cooking! Are they good, bad, or can just cook a specific dish?

This is a question for most of ocs you're willing to include! You got so many!? I'm especially curious for Levi, Mathew, Ziya, Theo and Vas? And maybe Dahlia too!

Levi- can’t cook he just helps his mom around the kitchen. I’m sure if he tried to follow a recipe he could actually replicate it pretty well. His big self just likes to eat

Mathew- can’t cook and would most likely fail miserably 😭

Ziya- can cook pretty well!! Meat dishes are his specialty! His food is seen as delicious and one should definitely try it!!

Theodora- can’t cook for the life of her. It’s not like she had a chance to learn

Vasilios- he can cook. He be cooking with da people 🗣️🔥

Dahlia- can cook! She’s cooked for Levi and he’s helped her while she was cooking. She loves to cook pancakes for Levi because in her eyes, he looks cute when eating them.

Cesar- this man can COOK🗣️🔥 bro can do almost everything (pasta is probably his weakest area)

Yanira-of course she can cook😊 fun fact she cooked ‘Marry me chicken ‘for Mathew when he came over to her house! It definitely made her fall in love with her even more

My Aventurine's sister design! In this au she survived and is trying to get revenge on the IPC, being helped by one of my ocs, Klio (I'll put more info about her + her relationship with Argos in a reblog to my oc blog tmmr)

Aven's sister doesn't have an official name, so I named her Argos. I wanted her to have some kinda peacock connection to Aventurine, and Argos is the name of the giant turned into the first peacock in Greek Mythology.

How about questions 1, 3 (I love a good question about oc names), 8, 12, 18, and 19?

1. What was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc.)? 

Definitely his appearance. Like most characters I’ve created, he was developed in my mind. I thought about creating a friend for Levi and for some reason a ginger Spanish guy just developed over time. This goes for basically all my characters too. I imagine them so hard , I finally give in the urge to draw them.

3. How did you choose their name? 

lol I had in mind that he’s Spanish so I looked up male Spanish names. After just now looking through old art work to see where I first drew him, apparently his original name was going to be Manuel 😭.

8. What (if anything) do you relate to within their character/story? 

His most important parts of his character (the depression and all of that good stuff) I don’t relate too. (And I don’t want too either. ) But things like hobbies and trying to prioritize work (but failing) is something I actually do😭 .I also give them aesthetics I like!

12. What have you found to be most difficult about creating art for your OC (any form of art: writing, drawing, edits, etc.)?

Definitely writing. I have lots of things I want to write about this guy but I don’t know where to start. I have so many ideas for stories and even cute/harsh scenarios for him but I’m not a good story writer. I can write 5 paragraph essays in Ap lit but I can’t make a cute short stories about one of my creations.

18. What is the most recent thing you’ve discovered about your OC? 

He hit himself with a soccer ball. I forgot he played soccer at one point.

19. What is your favorite fact about your OC?

He’s a great dancer! He knows the Spanish style of dancing . Him and his mom used to dance all the time. After she died he stopped for like a couple of years. When he meets Yanira, he’s starts practicing again so he can keep up with her on the dance floor!!

Ok so for months I’ve had this ask sitting in my inbox

Finally, FINALLY since its mermay I decided to do it.

I ended up liking it so much that I started thinking of lore and it all spiraled into an AU.

So I present to you:

Submersion Falls

Ford comes to gravity falls for the same reasons as he did in canon except that on top of all his other interest, he also has a degree in marine/aquatic biology. Long story short, he somehow breaks one of the seals that kept Serpas (Bill) imprisoned. He was put there like 500 years ago by the Shaman after being a destructive force of nature in the ocean for Eons. They convinces Ford to break the seal on them so that their full power can come back and they can go back to the sea.

Despite having 500 years to contemplate, Bill doesn't actually know how to break the seal, because the Shaman put a curse on it that makes them unable to see it and only a human can break it. But also it's at the bottom of the lake, which is really, unnaturally deep. So Ford needs to build a special submarine. HOWEVER. There is also a time limit because the seal can only be broken on a special event that happens every 500 years, the same night where the Shaman first sealed them. So after a few months, Ford realizes that he'll never be able to make it in time and calls Fiddleford.

And that’s how the story starts :)
