pretty

slow, quiet words dripping with a feeling, a tone cascading from every letter uttered out of their lips

a visceral reaction towards the melodic sound of their voice slipping passed the veil of glass separating them like a wall between two completely different worlds

their relationship was comparable to that of the vast ocean and expansive stars. the calm yet strong pull and sway of the moving of the tides and the soft, comforting, guiding yet eerie light of the midnight moon.

on their own they were strong and independent. they were mesmerizing individuals, but together they created a scene that was beyond pleasing to the eye, a visual that blossomed new urges and desires unseen, unthought of before. together they stirred the most tasteful disasters in the minds of those who despised them and awoken the most blissful in those who admired them.

together they were simply, in but a single word, pretty.

::Celebrating Liltha with a Catra x Reader::

"C'mon, Catra! It's such a nice day out! Don't be boring~!"

Litha falls on the eve of the summer solstice and the longest day of the year. It celebrates the light while also prepares to welcome the dark.

This is another one of those sabbats that Catra just doesnt quite understand, but she's always willing to partake in your traditions, partially necause she kows how much it means to you, and partially because it makes her feel safe to start creating her own traditions.

You convincing Catra to spend the longest warm day with you outside. Both of you in flowy attire that niether of you could help but oggle the other in.

Taking Catra to pick fruits and bringing a cute little basket with you both. The stern, tough, cold force captain Catra looking incredibly foreign to everyone around Brightmoon's orchard, but judging by the criminal's warm smile, neither of you seemed to mind.

"Isn't that the women who ran the Horde?"

"I heard she used to be friends with Shera!"

"I can't believe they let them stay here..."

You two are having a picnic, underneath an oak tree. Catra loves sweets, so you have floral cookies, angel cake, and pomegranate juice.

Nothing is more festive for Litha than seeing Catra smile and laugh, her fangs showing, and you feel as though you fall for her a little more each time.

Her kissing you as you lay on the picnic blanket. Your face is warm as your skin glistens in the sun.

"You're beautiful, princess..."

"Hmm? What brought that up?"

Catra chuckled and gently placed her lips on yours, "Do I need a special occasion to compliment my girlfriend?"

You caressing her face in the soft moment, your hearts full and cozy within each other.

Making Catra a flower crown out of lavenders and violet's as you take turns reading poetry to each other.

You kiss her and giggle as you leave your lip gloss on her lips, and gently wipe it off of her, though you're both aware it's just an excuse for you to touch her more.

After watching Dickinson I bought the book of Emily's complete poems. I thought about posting my favourite ones here. Maybe someone needs to hear these words.

As I understand it, life is so fucking difficult to "navigate". We have a lot of darkness but we have light too. We fill our lives with joy but also with unhappiness and doubts. We may get lost sometimes in that darkness, we see everything blurry, but don't forget that a new day always begins after the darkest of nights.

Mumble , shade , scatter , wisp , melancholy , abstain , bell , tome , fairy circle , & nevermore :}

it began as a mumble, a murmur, barely above a whisper, a vocal rumble so quiet the level of audibility was hardly enough to be heard.

shade as thick in darkness as processed honey obscuring the defining features of the form, nearly making the voice a disembodied sound.

the sound of the voice scattered through the large room like a broken glass vase shattering against stone steps as it slowly climbed in volume.

the words escaped the lips of their source like a wisp of thin misty smoke in the night from an afternoon cigarette or burnt out candle.

the tone was nothing if not melancholy, setting a firm hold on the feeling that urged the broken voice forward to the closed ears that remained but refused to hear.

the words were there but the voice was clear in setting its source meant to abstain all other emotion the story it spun might recall.

crystal hot tears fell, causing a swelling lump to push a weak cry from the throat, ringing out through the vicinity like a tiny bell that was dropped from its place.

words continued to spill as if being read from a tome of the heart, hands dropping to the ground inside the fairy circle their owner stood inside of.

a soul, trapped in a lost divine realm of sorrow and cursed ache, to see the face of freedom and bliss nevermore.

do you remember how you taught me how to pray?

with flowers and calm, but also rain in our chest.

with our eyes closed and open hands,

a faith I couldn’t really comprehend, surounding us fully. peace, warmth and quiet around us.

it was there when I started to believe in something other than me. I was no longer selfish

because something as beautiful as that, would only be able to exist thanks to something bogger and better than love itself.

even the best feelings come to an end.

i let the seasons pass, once, twice and thrice. with your voice apart.

but i still pray the way you taught me, because I still believe that you’ll come back,

and breathe the same air as me.
