Magic drips from their fingertips: control over the sins that rule each of their lives. With fates and visions spinning through their minds, each of the Sins grapple violently with the questions of their purpose.

How far will they go to search for the truth? Maiming and torturing, fucking and fighting, killing for a single word from a silent goddess.

And how can they expect to maintain allies when only one can live in the end?

What began as a simple roleplay has spiralled into a sprawling, character-driven tale...

Pokemon 7 Deadly Sins

There is a theory that the 7 original Ultra Beasts are meant to embody the 7 Deadly Sins: Nihilego represents Envy: It has no Ego of it's own so it becomes a parasite and feeds on the minds of others Pheromosa represents Lust: It uses its Pheromones to control people to do it's bidding Buzzwole represents Pride: It's Constantly trying to show off Xurkitree represents Greed: It takes all Electricity for itself Kartana represents Wrath: It's a Violent Cutting Maniac that cuts through anything in its vicinity Celesteela represents Sloth: It lays dormant for for long periods of time Guzzlord represents Gluttony: It is a living black hole that consume everything I have my own group of pokemon Fantasy Antiheroe characters who represent a Deadly Sin harnessed for Good. The pokemon themselves do not entirely represent the Deadly Sins, but their personalities do. Dyna the Dracozolt is the Sin of Envy. Her mixed biology doesn't quite work right, she has physical and health problems because of the way she was created, but she directs her Envy into fighting people who would inflict pain on others and don't value how much having good health and a working body means. Morgan Le Fay the Sylveon is the Sin of Lust. She is a Magician, tricks and deception are her bread and butter. Her Controlling father wanted to use her as a bargaining tool to marry her off to some other rich family and increase his own power, but she ditched him to pursue he her own love and passion. Sanguine the Weavile is the Sin of Pride. He is without a doubt the cockiest bastard you will ever meet and having a great time. He simply doesn't care what anybody else thinks of him, he knows what he's worth and if you think different he'll dismiss you as stupid. It's also because of his overwhelming sense of confidence that he can't be corrupted of tempted by anybody. He's already perfect in his mind so why does he need somebody else's power? Baroness Captain Kaida "The Empress" Cinnamon Samedi La Croix, Queen of the Pirates the Salazzle is the Sin of Greed. Kaida believes that Money and Material are not true Greed. Money can lose value, and materials can be replaced. The truest essence of Greed is Freedom to Fulfill your desires, so she wants to spend every moment having adventures, and doing exciting things with the pokemon she cares about. She also likes to collect names and titles to add to her already long name. Garnet the Midnight Lycanroc is the Sin of Wrath. Garnet is a Goku; she is simple, she love Friends, Food, and Fighting strong opponents. The thrill of battle gets her blood boiling with excitement. Get in the way of her Friends, her Food, or a Good Fight and she becomes hellbent on tearing you apart! Aella the Serperior is the Sin of Sloth. She is not Lazy, she has ADHD. She can be very passionate and excited about certain things, but she struggles to do thing which don't interest her and tries to run away from problems. Polaris the Meowstic is the Sin of Gluttony. She's not Fat, despite how much she eats she is incapable of getting fat or enjoying food because she gave up her taste in exchange for power. She is the mouth for several Eldritch entities outside of reality providing them whatever they want to consume in exchange occult magic and secrets.

Soo your anxiety bear fic has reawakened my love for prehistoric animals and I was wondering if you had any recommendations on good websites or books on this?

Ahh, sorry I took so long to answer this! First off, I’m glad your interest has reawakened!

I don’t have any specific websites. If there are certain species you’re interested in, go to their Wikipedia page and look at the sources listed at the bottom. I’ve found many useful scientific articles and readings from there!

Books!:

The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History by Elizabeth Kolbert looks at what exactly extinction is, how humans are now impacting that word, and she talks about a few extinct species, some that are currently facing extinction, and what the next mass extinction event will be and when it will be.

The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs: A New History of a Lost World by Steve Brusatte traces dinosaur's evolution from their beginnings as smaller animals, to when they were at their most diverse, to when winged dinosaurs emerged and tracing their lineage to birds, and to the end of the Cretaceous when most species died out. Brusatte himself named fifteen new species. He really knows what he's talking about.

End of the Megafauna: The Fate of the World's Hugest, Fiercest, and Strangest Animals by Ross D. E. MacPhee talks about some of my favorite megafauna (giant ground sloths, bear ancestors, saber-tooths, and extinct Felidae). Human ancestors interacted with megafauna. MacPhee looks at their interactions, their ecology, and how they fought and hunted. The illustrations are also very beautiful.

Prehistoric Life: The Definitive Visual History of Life on Earth by DK Publishing is kind of like an encyclopedia. It starts in the Proterozoic eon and goes to the rise of humans. It looks at microscopic life, invertebrates, and vertebrates of each time period. There's a lot packed into it, but it doesn't delve into deep detail. It gives you broad strokes about the different epochs and ages and what has lived through them.

On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection by Charles Darwin is long and informative but it's very long and can be a little difficult to understand. There are many abbreviated books, some with added pictures and comments by the author to help, that are a joy to read and really gives an understanding of where the study of evolution began.

Darwin’s Fossils: The Collection that Shaped the Theory of Evolution by Adrian Lister goes through Darwin’s notebooks, diaries, and letters that highlight how he shaped his theory of evolution. It’s pretty cool to see the journey of the fossils he studied. 

Books not exactly about prehistoric life, but evolution:

Feathers: The Evolution of a Natural Miracle by Thor Hanson is specifically about feathers; their beginnings, uses, structure, and evolution from the first feathered dinosaurs to how we use them today as fancy set-pieces.

Improbable Destinies: Fate, Chance, and the Future of Evolution by Jonathan B. Losos is about evolutionary biology and tackles the question like: Does natural selection follows predictable paths? Or can the tiniest change forever influence evolution?

The Story of the Human Body by Daniel E. Lieberman is basically a view of how the human body has evolved and adapted to its environment and how we can use that for the future.

How Zoologist Organize Things by David Bainbridge details how humans have seen animals and began to classify them. It also talks about how we've viewed the world around us and tried to make sense of it, including the evolution of man, patterns seen within the natural world, organization, and the spread of notable characteristics. (This is my current favorite! But it isn't about a specific animal, just about zoology as a whole.)

Ben G Thomas - They sum it up themselves: “We make videos about life and science, aiming to educate in an entertaining way and to show you the wonderful life we share this planet with.” They have a nice focus on paleontology.

E.D.G.E makes videos on biology, natural history, and dinosaurs. 

Nature’s Compendium talks about a variety of subjects, with a focus on evolution, ecology, and paleontology.

Ratchet and Kim Possible Chronicles: The Polaris Epidemic-Part 46

Meanwhile, Ratchet, Kim and their group was just about finishing up their fight against Adrena Lynn. Within much time, they were able to bring it down. Adrena Lynn, terrified by the robot exploding, slammed on the eject button and jettisoned herself out of the robot before it blew up. She landed on a nearby scaffolding and ran off. Kim: “There she goes!!” Ratchet: “She’s getting away!” Talwyn: “We’ll go after her, you guys search for the other villains.” Ratchet: “Alright, let’s go, Kimberly.”

Kim nodded once, she and Ratchet split from Talwyn, Cronk and Zephyr, both groups ran out of the room in different directions.

At that time, Ron was still battling Monkey Fist. Yori still fought against the monkey ninjas. Both fights seemed to have dragged on for a long time. Ron, however, with a little help from Rufus, was able to bring down Monkey Fist. Yori had just finished off the last of the monkey ninjas. From being defeated by Ron, Monkey Fist got himself up. DNAmy: “Monty!!!”

Just then, DNAmy came rushing in, she grabbed on to Monkey Fist and embraced him closely, squeezing him tightly. DNAmy: “Oh! Monkey pudding and pie! Are you OK?”

Monkey Fist pushed himself away from her. Monkey Fist: “Unhand me, woman! I will not have any more of your smothering.” DNAmy: “Oh…but honey muffin…is there anything I can do for you?” Monkey Fist: “Well, if you really wish to help out, do away with those 2, I need to fall back and regain my strength.” DNAmy: “Okie-dokie, hun! I’ll send my lovely pets to deal with these troublemakers.” Ron: “Oh, no, this isn’t good.”

Soon enough, Monkey Fist ran out of the room, the monkey ninjas retreated back into their compartments. From there, DNAmy called out to her creations. Ron and Yori stood by as the monstrous creatures were stepping out. They were horrified.

Elsewhere, Ratchet and Kim rushed through the hallways. Just then, they heard Ron screaming very loudly. Kim: “That sounded like Ron!” Ratchet: “Come on, let’s hurry over to him.”

They ran through and kept on going until they made it to where Ron and Yori were. Kim: “Ron! Yori!”

Ron and Yori noticed them immediately. Ratchet and Kim stood beside them. Just then, Ratchet spotted DNAmy and became greatly startled. Ratchet: “Ah! You!” DNAmy: “Oh, goodie! You’re just in time. Now my lovely pets get to have even more playmates!”

They stood by in horror as DNAmy’s “pets” approached them. There were 3 terrifyingly looking animal creations: one was a massive polar bear looking animal with a bunny head and bunny paws that came with bear claws, another was a half deer/half wolverine creature with a deer’s head and body, sharp teeth, sharp claws and antlers that are like the beast’s second set of claws, the last one was a sloth/rodent creature with the leg that was very much like the tail of a snake. All 3 creatures were very, very terrifying, the looks on the group’s faces demonstrated that fear very well. Ratchet: “Kimberly? I’m scared…!” Kim: “So am I, Ratchet, so am I.”

The group was left with fighting off the vicious and terrifying chimeras. It was a very, very difficult fight as the beasts were ferocious fighters and very difficult to chip down. They were just as difficult as they were vicious and terrifying. The group was indeed terrified, with Ratchet and Ron being even more terrified. Ron: “These creatures are really, really scary, like beyond Camp Wannaweep terrifying!” Ratchet: “You said it, Ron!”

It took them a while, but they were eventually able to bring down the vicious chimeras. DNAmy stood by in shock of her creations being subdued. Ratchet: “Finally! Thought we would never bring them down!” Clank: “The readings that I received from those poor creatures were most disturbing. I can not bring into words just how troublesome this is. I did not like it one bit.” Ratchet: “You and me both, pal. No doubt in my mind that the human who made these is more horrifying than the chimeras.” Clank: “I concur.” DNAmy: “Oh…! My poor babies! I can’t believe they would do this to you!”

DNAmy ran off. Kim: “Hey! Wait!”

Yori tossed a small device towards DNAmy, it attached to her back without her noticing. Yori: “Let us not worry about her. Right now, we must find the other villains.” Clank: “Yes, I agree with Miss Yori on this. We must seek out all of them.” Ratchet: “Alright, let’s take different directions so that we can find them faster.”

Ron, Kim and Yori nodded once. Ratchet and Kim broke off from Ron and Yori, both groups ran in different directions.

Ven’fir Polaris - The Warrior

Lust.

This one sounds like it’s obvious, since Ven is a pretty dedicated student of the art of the bedroom, but the truth is perhaps a little more complex than it may seem.

As an alien and the unpopular son of a noble house, Ven was not well liked when he was younger. Starved of attention and personal connections, he found that sex filled the empty space inside him very well. He used sex as a crutch to keep him afloat, both personally and socially, and this only stopped when he fell in love and got a nasty awakening to what his behaviour was doing to those around him.

He’s still very fixated on passion and pleasure, sometimes to his own detriment.

Beryon V’lante - The Knight

Wrath.

Beryon has a temper and it often causes him to act rashly and often in a way that he is ashamed of later. He’s angry about a lot of things, and to snap at someone out of defensiveness is a coping mechanism for a lot of the issues he’s got buried inside. He mellows a bit once the weight on his shoulders decreases, but it’s something he has to deal with often.

Avior Kallig - The Inquisitor

Greed.

Avior’s greed doesn’t necessarily come from material possessions, but rather from a desire to possess power and control.

Avior had a deep, burning desire to see the Galaxy move in his vision, and he will acquire all the power, be that social, political, martial, or Force, to see that done. He’s greedy for change, for the power to effect the change he wants to see and control.

The Empire, to Avior, is long overdue for a revolution.

Kalja'vianuo'ardieri (Kal) - The Agent

Pride.

Kal is a deeply prideful person. From the quietly confident pride in his physical attributes to the icy pride in his professional ones, he holds himself to what would be an impossible standard for anyone else. He routinely achieves the impossible, and this only worsens after he chooses the ‘break my limits’ option when redirecting his conditioning.

He’s disinclined to accept help, regards others as disposable nuisances, and generally thinks he should and can handle anything that comes his way.

Usually, he can. Sometimes though, he can’t, and it buckles him.

Jediahi Ra - The Bounty Hunter

Sloth.

Sloth can have a few different meanings, but the one that Jediahi embodies is not one of physical laziness, but rather one of a rejection of responsibility.

She doesn’t want to be responsible for more than she already cares for, and will quite happily follow her own whims rather than duty. She will blow off tasks she doesn’t want to do, and pass the buck on difficult or upsetting things. For example, she would never have become Outlander, because she would not be bothered enough until it affected her personally and so wouldn’t have answered Darth Marr’s call.

She’s not a profoundly bad or mean person, she’s a decent one, but while she will step in to save a harassed person from a criminal or deliver a child back to their parents, she will not accept responsibility for saving Ziost, for example.

Well my favorite memory so far is the time I got to dance on the beach and go exploring around the city. I was trying to get used to myself and my new way of thinking. SYNOPSIS:

When the cards of fate unfold for her a passionate affair with the prince of Pride, Braven, behind the backs of their allies, Katty remembers the spark that being Envy once carried for her.

It’s only natural she chose him to accompany her on a secret mission to infiltrate the ship of Gluttony, also known as Flint. While Braven seeks information regarding Flint’s relentless search for who they are, Katty seeks a chest of personal valuables he’d stolen from her. More than either of them bargained for, Braven is captured and Katty is filled with regret. Sooner than she could even think to fall back on her own allies for aid, Flint captures them, too.

Katty must rescue them. And she must rely on Braven’s twin sister, wretched Morannah of Lust, in order to stand a chance against that giant, hulking man.

When the girls invade, cruel revelations are sparked: one calls into question the sins’ immortality, and the other permanently alters the nature of their war.

After all, what is an ally worth when all ends in betrayal?
