So! Fun story: I've been a pole dancer since the start of the pandemic. I've won a gold medal for dramatic choreography and it's been amazing for my mental health. I'll be sharing some of my favorite dances, bloopers, and training reels since I consider dance, stunt, and cosplay as the Holy Trinity of my mental wellbeing and joy.

How would the Sneep react if his S/O did a pole dance for him?

I'm exhausted in my bed but how can I resist such a stupid image?

Not saying that pole dance is stupid at all, one of my dearest friends is an amazing pole performer but imagining wizarding pole dancers cracks me up sm.

Not only because they're stuck in the 1700s but also because their clothes are so full-coverage so if they saw anyone doing pole (for which you HAVE to show skin) they would all choke or faint on the spot. Heresy! Harlots, all of them!

So the first question is: WHERE would Snape see ANYONE do pole dance?

My ONLY answer would be at a club/brothel with the DE club (pick your war, first or second, it doesn't matter).

So it wouldn't exactly be his s/o but a performer there. Let's imagine that they do vibe (remember that the dancer is working here, but a connection can happen, tho mostly when you have 1 on 1 time with the person before or after during private bookings) well... KNOWING SEVERUS he would mostly be technically impressed, because pole dancing is suuuuper physical and can get quite technical. OF COURSE he wouldn't be able to ignore that their tatas and coochie are basically displayed in front of him but come on, the man would be so uncomfortable already at being in such an establishment that it's certain he has his occlumency walls slapped HARD to distance himself.

Well he would enjoy it I think (but still be stuck on the technicality of it for a while). The real question you should ask me is 'what about if he got a lapdance?'

Lewis needs to sit down and talk to someone about keeping his own expectations in check. The season has more or less gone the way it should have with that unbalanced car. He's not gonna be performing miracles in a car that's so very new to him. He's pretty much close to his teammate, he's got 100% Q3 appearances which is good enough in 5 races. I know he holds himself to very high standards but there's no point drowning over this when it clear that he's been gaining incrementally from the first race to now.

I’m curious… what do y’all expect to see from Oscar’s qualifying next year? Because 20-4 looks pretty terrible, but when you look at the actual average % gap it’s not that bad.

Honestly the raw pace looks fine, in fp3, q1 and q2 he’s usually doing similar times to Lando so I’m not exactly sure what happens in q3. Unless Lando purposefully takes it a bit safer in those sessions? My theory is that Lando finishing just ahead of him kinda got under his skin over the year and he started overthinking it to get the few hundredths he’d need to end up in front, only to overcompensate and end up further back. Or could it be the pressure of only having 1 shot to do it right getting to him? But that doesn’t seem very Oscar-like.

It’s perplexing because in f3 he lost pretty convincingly to Logan in the head-to-head, I don’t remember the actual % gap but it was 8-1. Then in f2 he got a pole in silverstone and never looked back, stringing together pole after pole until the season was over. So I wonder if it could be a question of momentum, like, if as soon as he gets them going he’ll keep them coming. Which would be weird, because he has had “poles” in f1, in the qatar23 and brazil24 sprints. But that never really translated to banging quali laps in the actual qualifying.

Or is he just not as good at judging the limits of what he can do with his cars on tracks he is less familiar with? Because he was pretty solid in Europe, tracks on which he has competed in junior formulas, but not as much on tracks he’d experienced for the first time last year. If it’s that I hope he can show some good improvement next season, because that justification won’t fly for much longer.

Dunno, I’m pretty miffed on what’s happening here. I don’t think he can work much on ironing out his q3 mistakes during the off-season so I’m curious to see if a mental reset is what he needs to get going next season (an Oscar pole in Australia 25 would SLAP). Anyway, my guess is that next season he’s gonna get an actual pole, and from that point on we’re either going to see him rack them up OR focus too much on trying to replicate it and start making silly mistakes again

I propose season 4 Beard would definitely take the team to pole dance classes as a training exercise and you know every single one of them would goof off but end up learning from it and enjoying themselves by the end. Dani is inexplicably very flexible and even more inexplicable is that Jamie is really bad at it, at least to start with. He can not figure out how to move his upper body the right way but when it clicks it clicks. Isaac thinks they should coordinate their moves cuz it would be “mad graceful, innit?”. Roy is just unsure what he’s looking at because none of them seem to be doing the same move despite clear instruction. Will is just curious and good at giving constructive criticism while he watches. Poor Nate is just anxious somebody will fall and injure themselves or sprain something, but he comes around to the idea once Jade decides to take a class and show him her skills. I feel like beard might have trauma associated from stripping in His early 20’s so it would be really cathartic to see him interact with the pole dancing medium in a helpful way and use it to better his team and get to know them/ share some of his past with them and not have judgement/stigma affecting it.

I know I already posted about the Tim Capello show, but I think what's stuck with me about it is how inspirational it was—as entertaining a performer as he is, you could really see that he's used to working with other artists and making them look good. Speaking as someone more prone to jumping into the spotlight, it's inspirational as hell—we're in for a rough time over the next several years, and remembering to build each other up as well as strut our stuff is going to be key to building solidarity.

So this one goes out to all of you other artists out there—don't be afraid to take the stage, and don't be afraid to reach out a hand to others to help them up as well. It's our job to remind people why they're out there working to make things better, and we're gonna do it together 💖
