“Oh. Hello.” Remus comes inside, shaking raindrops off his umbrella. “How are you home already?”
Hands in the sink, you can only half turn to greet him. “I left work a bit early.” You throw him an impish look. “Don’t tell.”
“I’d never.” You hear the sounds of shoes and umbrella being discarded. Remus walks on near silent footsteps, but you know him well enough to anticipate the gentle pressure of his lips on the crown of your head. “I’m quite proud of you, actually. You’ve done far too much unpaid overtime for them. Now look at you, fucking off an hour early to make—what are you making? It smells good.”
“She’s making brownies,” Sirius calls from down the hall.
“Brownies?” Remus asks, delighted. “Hi, by the way.”
“Hi, handsome.” Sirius comes to greet him, hair wet and wearing the fresh cozies you laid out for him on the bed. He gives Remus a kiss. “How was your day?”
“Fine. Steadily improving.”
Sirius hums agreeably. “She drew me a lovely bath, too. Had it all ready for me when I got home.” You’re not looking at them as you dry your hands on a dishtowel, but when you glance up his grin is there waiting. “Thanks for that, sweetness.”
You shy. “It was no problem.”
“Does my hair smell nice?” He drops his head forward, shaking his wet hair out in front of you.
You sniff. “It does. It always smells nice.”
“Extra, thanks to you.”
He plants a smiling kiss on your cheek, and you bear it, feeling glittery with joy. By the way Remus is smiling at you both, you must look as pleased as you feel.
“What’s all this for?” he asks.
You shrug. “I just felt like doing something for you guys.”
The truth of it is that in the center of the kitchen table there are wilting carnations, which Sirius bought two weeks ago. You’ve yet to do anything to thank him for them. You can’t recall a time you cooked dinner for all of you in the last month. You keep meaning to take out the trash, but Remus gets to it before you can every time. You’ve not done anything very thoughtful, or kind, or doting in a long while. Sirius and Remus are so good to you, and lately you’ve not felt very deserving of their love at all.
“And,” you say, “I feel a bit bad that I’ve…not been very considerate lately.”
Sirius makes an odd face. “Considerate how?”
“I haven’t been doing as much for you as I’d like to.”
“Oh,” Remus tsks, “sweetheart, we don’t care how much you do. You know it doesn’t come down to that.”
“Yeah, I know,” you say flippantly. The edge of the counter digs into your back as you lean against it, trying to look nonchalant. “It’s just, you guys do so much for me—”
“Well, I hope we’re not supposed to be keeping score.” Sirius raises his eyebrows. “If I have to get even for that bath, sweetheart, I’m going to be rubbing your feet every night for a month.”
You laugh. “You’re off the hook.”
“Oh, good. You are too, then.”
“Well—”
“No,” Remus cuts you off, his smile as fond as it is knowing. “You don’t get to be the only one who has to earn love. It’s all of us or none of us, dove. Which is it?”
You can’t help smiling back at him, even as your face heats. “I don’t like this game.”
“Oh, poor girl,” Sirius coos. He pulls you under his arm, pouting in faux sympathy as he squeezes you. “You just have it so rough, don’t you?”
“That’s the way it has to be,” says Remus. “You don’t get to make your own rules only for yourself. And I love you just as much right now as I did yesterday.”
Sirius mushes a kiss to the side of your head. “Ditto.”
“Okay,” you relent, rolling your eyes. Internally, your heart is aglow. “If you really want to lie to me and pretend you’re going to love me the exact same when you have brownies in your stomachs, go ahead.”
“Not lying, sweetheart.”
“So you don’t want them?”
“Now, hold on a minute—”

Helllllo!! Could you maybe do a wolfstar x reader (or anyone if you don’t do that :))) with a reader who lovesssss makeup and has like a big collection and spends a bunch of money on it and maybe the boys being super intrigued or confused by it? <3
Hello hello~!!! Thank you for this amazing idea! I wasn’t sure if you were asking for romantic or platonic wolfstar but I may have gone the romantic route. I hope you enjoy it!
Also, it seems I am utterly incapable of writing short stories... Hopefully you don't mind!
Poly! Wolfstar x Fem!Reader WC: 2k
You breathe out, the exhale a soft puff that lingers in the chilly air. Your fingers run through your hair, frustration creeping up your spine.
It's a mess—which wasn’t new for days like this. The winter winds have stolen every ounce of moisture, leaving your strands dry and unruly. The static makes each strand stand on end, refusing to fall into place as you try to tame them with a bit of leave-in conditioner.
But today, of all days, it needs to cooperate.
You glance in the mirror, taking in your reflection. This is the first time you're hosting date night at your place, and after hours of prepping dinner, tidying up every inch of the apartment, your hair had become the least cooperative part of the evening. You sigh, trying to smooth the mess down, but it feels hopeless.
A light knock on the door pulls your attention away, snapping you out of your frustration. Your heart gives a flutter, and you take a moment to steady your nerves. The knocking continues, a little more insistent, and you curse under your breath as you give your reflection one last look. Your cream knit sweater and well-worn jeans are fine—fine—but not exactly what you'd imagined wearing on such a special evening. It’s casual, maybe too much so, but you tell yourself to let it go. You smooth down the hem and force a shy smile.
The door creaks open, and you greet them with a soft, sweet "Hey." Your voice betrays a touch of nerves, but you stand tall, holding the door wide open as you invite them inside.
Remus and Sirius stand frozen in the hallway just outside your door, their eyes taking in your appearance with an intensity that makes you feel as though they're seeing straight through you. A soft smile spreads across Remus’s face, while Sirius’s lips curl into a wolfish grin. They both seem to sense the knot of anxiety in your chest, reading it effortlessly, as if it was as obvious as the frazzled mess of your hair.
"Hey, dove, you okay there?" Remus asks, his voice a gentle murmur as he bends down, pressing a warm kiss to the crown of your head. The sudden contact sends a spark of calm through you, though the tightness in your stomach doesn’t quite fade.
"Yeah, you look a bit nervous," Sirius adds, his tone teasing yet soft. His lips brush your cheek in a quick kiss as he steps past you into the flat, his eyes flicking over the space, taking in the cozy chaos of your preparations.
The living room, while small, is filled with the soft charm of the season. A few scattered holiday decorations dot the space—pine cones nestled in a crystal dish on the dark wood coffee table, their spiced scent mingling with the candles burning nearby. The flickering lights cast a warm glow across the room, the air thick with the comforting scent of mulled cider and cinnamon, drifting lazily from the kitchen.
They’ve been here before, of course. They’ve picked you up for dates, lingered in the living room while you finished getting ready. But tonight, it’s different. Tonight, they’re not just picking you up. They’re settling in, staying awhile, and something in the atmosphere shifts. The space feels fuller, more alive somehow, even with the quiet tension you’re trying so hard to hide.
"Come on in, make yourselves at home," you say, your voice a little steadier now, though still laced with uncertainty. You close the door behind them, your fingers brushing along the handle as you take their coats and drape them over the back of the couch. It’s a small gesture, but it feels grounding, giving you something to focus on.
You lead them into the dining room, where the table is set in preparation for dinner. White tealights glow softly, casting delicate shadows on the polished surface. Your nice dinner plates gleam under the candlelight, silverware set just so, ready to be used. It’s a simple, intimate setup, and for a fleeting moment, you wonder if it’s enough.
Remus pauses in the center of the room, scanning the flat before turning back to you with a gentle smile. “Do you mind if I use the restroom, love?” he asks, his voice soft but carrying a hint of amusement as he looks around the space, searching for the door.
You smile softly, pointing down the hallway. "It’s the second door on the left," you say, your voice light.
Remus nods with a grateful look before darting down the hallway, eager to relieve himself. Sirius watches him go with a shake of his head, chuckling under his breath. "He’s had to pee since we got to your street," Sirius says, his tone laced with affection and amusement.
You can’t help but laugh, your fingers busying themselves with pouring warm cider into mugs.
That’s when you hear Remus’s voice, sharp and full of surprise. "What the hell?"
A rush of concern flutters through you, catching your breath. You freeze, the warm cider sloshing in the cup you hold, spilling a few droplets as you try to make sense of his exclamation. What did I forget? Was it your hairbrush on the counter again? No... you made sure it was put away. You rack your brain for a moment, but nothing stands out.
Sirius, ever the quick one, is already walking down the hall, following the sound of Remus’s voice. You move to follow, two steps behind him, a strange tightness settling in your chest.
You watch as they reach the second door on the right, and your eyes widen.
Sirius peeks in first, curiosity piqued, and his voice rings out with a hint of amusement. "Moons?" he asks, stepping into the space. He tilts his head to look around, his gaze landing on the long white vanity in front of them. Your heart skips a beat as you catch up, now standing in the doorway just behind them.
The vanity stretches out before you, gleaming under the soft light. Clear storage cabinets line the sides of the mirror, each one filled to the brim with various cosmetics: lipsticks in shades you can’t even name, neatly arranged bottles of foundation, and an assortment of brushes that you’d long since given up organizing. Your cheeks flush with a mixture of embarrassment and mild surprise, realizing they’ve stumbled upon your private little collection.
Sirius raises an eyebrow, clearly intrigued, while Remus stands there, his expression somewhere between shock and genuine curiosity. The air between the three of you crackles with unspoken words as you stand in the doorway, feeling every bit of their gaze on the cluttered, yet carefully curated, space.
Your lips press together as you try to formulate an explanation, feeling a wave of heat rise in your cheeks. What can I possibly say now that they've seen all of this? You stand there, torn between embarrassment and amusement, watching the two of them as they take in the sight of your beauty room.
“Holy shit, love, I knew you liked makeup, but I didn’t think you liked it this much,” Sirius says, his tone an odd mix of shock and awe. He steps closer, eyes roving over the meticulously organized rows of products. Beside him, Remus examines the array with a look of sheer bewilderment.
“You... you actually use all of this?” he asks, gesturing to the overflowing drawers, as if struggling to comprehend.
You nod shyly, tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear. “Not all at once, of course, but... yeah.” You glance over at them, hoping they’re not overwhelmed.
Sirius reaches out, his eyes lighting up as he picks up a familiar tube. “This is the lipstick I bought you for Valentine’s Day,” he murmurs, a fond smile spreading across his face. He turns the deep red Gucci lipstick in his fingers, the one he’d surprised you with on that special day. It’s a brand you’d never splurge on for yourself, and the fact that he remembers only softens the moment.
Remus clears his throat, breaking the quiet. “Alright, hang on—I really need to pee, but we are so talking about this when I get back.” He gives you a quick, reassuring smile before dashing out of the room, leaving you alone with Sirius, who is still absorbing the scope of your collection.
Noticing your discomfort, Sirius settles himself into the plush chair in front of your vanity mirror. He catches your eye in the reflection, a mischievous gleam brightening his gaze. “Love, can you do my makeup?” His grey eyes lock with yours, and you can’t help but laugh, shaking your head.
“What do you want, Siri?” you ask, moving to stand behind him, your hands instinctively finding their way into his dark, unruly curls. His eyes flutter shut as he leans back into your touch, a low groan escaping his lips.
“Reggie’s been wearing eyeliner lately, and it actually looks pretty cool. Can you do that for me?” he asks, keeping his eyes closed, totally at ease.
A sweet hum escapes you as you think it over. “Are we talking waterline or a wing?” you ask, fingers combing gently through his hair.
“Which one’s easier?” he asks, eyes cracking open to meet yours, genuine curiosity lighting his face.
“For you? Probably a wing,” you explain with a smile, reaching over his shoulder to grab your favorite liquid liner. “Putting it in your waterline can get uncomfortable. I’ll go easy on you.”
He chuckles, a small smirk forming as he settles in, clearly ready for whatever you’re about to do.
Remus steps back into the room, his hands settling on your hips with an easy familiarity. You feel his warmth as you focus, steadying the felt-tip pen and carefully flicking it to form the perfect wing at the corner of Sirius’s closed eyes.
“And what exactly are you two up to?” he asks, voice laced with fond amusement. His hazel eyes shine with a soft curiosity, watching as you carefully hover over Sirius.
You glance up, meeting his gaze with a playful smile. “Just spreading my love of makeup,” you quip, your voice light with humor.
At that, Sirius opens his eyes slowly, catching sight of himself in the vanity mirror. The sharp lines of the eyeliner bring a new edge to his look, making his grey eyes look strikingly intense. A small, satisfied grin spreads across his face as he takes in the transformation. “Damn—I look good.”
“When don’t you look good?” Remus laughs, shaking his head as he leans in closer. There’s a warmth in his gaze, a kind of love that makes the room feel cozier.
You smile, leaning across Sirius once more to reach for your favorite lip oil. Without a second thought, you swipe it across your lips, the slight sheen catching the light before you turn, tiptoeing to press a soft, lingering kiss to Remus’s lips. He blinks in surprise, feeling the film of oil on his lips, and a bashful smile spreads across your face.
“There. Now you’re dolled up too,” you murmur, your voice barely above a whisper.
Remus’s cheeks flush, and he lets out a quiet laugh. “Lucky me,” he replies, squeezing your hips gently.
You dart your gaze away, the warmth of the moment lingering as your eyes catch the soft glow of the digital clock on the corner of your vanity. The numbers blink back at you, a gentle reminder of time ticking by.
With a small sigh, you reluctantly shake yourself out of the cozy, dreamlike bubble surrounding the three of you. “We should head back out. I’ve got dinner in the oven.”
Sirius groans dramatically but rises from the chair, throwing you an affectionate look as he reaches out to link his arm with yours. Remus follows, his hand resting lightly on your shoulder, the three of you moving back into the warmth of the dining room, surrounded by candlelight and the smell of cider that fills the air like a promise of a perfect evening ahead.

I am BEGGING on my knees for a part two to "Meant to be" 🧎♀️🧎♀️🧎♀️
your wish is my command, sweetheart!! here is part 2. thank you guys so much for all the love on part 1 ♡
meant to be | poly!wolfstar (part 2)

part 1 | part 2
tw: angst, hurt/comfort
poly!wolfstar x reader
The chillness radiating off the wall behind you does nothing to ease your pain as you slump to the ground outside the common room.
You press your fingertips to your lips, nibbling on your nails anxiously as you feel the hot tears dribble down your cheeks.
It was over. Your relationship with Sirius and Remus was over, and it was all your fault. You had ruined it.
It had felt like the right decision two minutes ago when you were admitting your troubles in the common room. It had felt like something you had to do for the past few weeks, whenever you saw the boys together without you, whenever you felt like an extra in their relationship.
So why did it feel like there was a gaping hole in your heart? Why did it feel like your insides had just been clawed out and crushed to pieces?
This was your doing, your choice, you told yourself. No point mourning for a relationship that was already dead.
Maybe Sirius and Remus were bubbling with laughter and cuddling in the common room right now. You really hoped that they were glad to be rid of you, because it was worth feeling this hurt if it meant they were happy.
As your thoughts of culpability begin to consume you, your vision starts to blur with tears. You lean your head against the wall, eyes closing as a soft sob escapes your lips.
It was dawning upon you that you really had lost the boys you loved, and there was nothing you could do about it.
You freeze, your train of thought evaporating into thin air when you suddenly feel a hand on your cheek, thumbing the tears away.
You could recognise his touch anywhere, hands calloused from animalistic tendencies but gentle as a lamb when he traced hearts on your skin.
Eyes fluttering open, you come face to face with Remus, his beautiful face scrunched up in a sullen frown. Your vision flickers over to Sirius, standing behind him.
Sirius looks unsteady on his feet, swaying slightly from side to side with bloodshot eyes and tear tracks on his cheeks. Your heart feels heavy in your chest, and you know you probably look just as bad as he does. He was gazing at you with an unfamiliar desperation in his eyes, which truly, really mortified you. And to think you thought he would be pleased with the breakup - god, you were horrible.
“Dove,” Remus breathes out in a quiet rasp, drawing your attention back to him. You will your heart to stay intact as you look into his hazel eyes, but you feel it breaking anyway. Not a single word comes out your mouth knowing full well that you would break down into a sobbing mess if you spoke. You avert your gaze and opt to stare at the ground instead.
“Hey, look at me, please,” he whispers, rubbing your cheek again with those stupidly lovely hands and looking at you with those disgustingly pretty eyes and all the love in the world that you wished that you could die. You quietly raise your head to look at Remus again, and he offers you a small, forced smile to compensate you for your effort. “There’s my girl,” he murmurs.
His hand suddenly retracts from your face, and you hate to admit it but you miss his warmth immediately. His eyes widen slightly, and it’s like he remembered that you’re not his girl anymore. You’re not his.
There’s a beat of sad silence as all of you sit with the fact that things weren’t the same as they used to be, maybe they never would be.
“Y/n,” Sirius croaks out, breaking the silence as you whip your head up to look at his grief-stricken face. It’s not so much the brokenness of his voice as the fact that he isn’t trying to hide it which hurts your heart. “Can we… can we please just talk this out? Please?”
He takes a small wobbly step toward you, extending his hand. You feel the sirens in your head start to sound loudly. Should you give him your hand? Should you give him your heart again?
You despise the feeling of longing which immediately strikes you. The desire to feel Sirius’ fingers intertwined with yours again, the wish to hold him in your arms, the need to wipe those tears from his lovely face. You wished things to be as they once were, his arms around your waist and lips on your forehead. Remus’ head on your lap as you combed your fingers through his hair, eyes fleetingly meeting before smiles full of love were passed around. It wasn’t just a relationship, it was a home. It was achingly sacred.
That home was broken, tarnished. Maybe it had been broken since the day you fell in love with them. Maybe it had been torn apart when they carried their relationship along without you. Or maybe you had ruined it when you told them you wanted no part in this affair anymore.
But if there was one thing you knew, it was that things that were broken could be fixed. You knew this fact like the back of your hand, from the countless times Remus had uttered those exact words to you when you were dissolving into a mess of tears and panic. You knew the words from when Sirius murmured them softly in your ear, stroking your hair as you sobbed yourself half to death. When you were trapped under the debris of problems that was your life, broken and scarred, they had pulled you out. They had fixed you.
Undeniably, Sirius and Remus had made their fair share of mistakes, unintentionally shunning you from the best parts of their relationship. They had torn your heart apart, but they fixed it up every single time they kissed you or smiled at you like you were the most precious thing in the world. Those fleeting moments had made all the hurt seem like nothing.
So who were you to deny the boys your affection? Even when they made mistakes, it was okay; because they loved you, and that was enough. You knew they might stumble and they may mess things up, but they would always get back up and take your hand. The sheer force of their love would be enough to overcome their shortcomings, you were sure of it.
So when Sirius stretches out his palm towards you, you wrap your hand around his. Remus watches on quietly, wide eyes darting between the both of you.
Sirius’ face lights up immediately, a hint of relief in his eyes. It looks like all the tension has left his features as he gives you a small grin. Your lips curve upwards in a soft smile.
“Yeah, I think… I think we can talk about it. I’m sorry for just walking out on you guys like that.”
“No, angel,” Remus retorts immediately, standing up and wrapping an arm around your waist to haul you up as well. “It’s not your fault at all. We… we screwed up, big time. We were blind to your feelings, and we’re really fucking sorry for that,” he sighs, running a hand through his hair defeatedly.
“But we’re gonna do better. We’re gonna make it work,” Sirius pipes up uncharacteristically firmly, his hand squeezing yours reassuringly. Remus nods, lifting his gaze to look at you as well. “Yeah, for you. We’re gonna try harder just for you.” Seeing the determination and love on their faces involuntarily melts your heart and brings a smile to your face, a real one this time.
The hint of happiness on your face is a big enough victory for them, Sirius’ smile morphing into a usual full-blown grin, and Remus’ arm tightening around your waist as he pulls you into his side. He moves towards the common room, Sirius’ hand still tightly gripping yours.
“We’re gonna talk about it, but not after some much-deserved cuddles and hot chocolate,” Remus murmurs, a small grin gracing his face when he sees the smile on your lips. The three of you walk in that awfully awkward position, you pressed against Remus with your hand tightly gripping Sirius’.
But you wouldn’t have it any other way. Just like this relationship, which had its ups and downs. That was especially the case for a three-way affair, something foreign to all of you. You were bound to slip up and you were bound to make mistakes.
But you loved them, and they loved you. That was all that mattered.

*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
You swiftly maneuver yourself through the dark oak bookshelves that span of the Hogwarts library. You’re currently in search of your two lovely boyfriends.
You round the corner to the usual nook Remus prefers and your eyes light up at the sight of the sandy haired boy. His right hand is working over a piece of parchment, quill expertly handled as he writes out delicate cursive letters. His other hand is out of sight.
You venture closer, mouth parting to alert him of your presence, until you see his hips jut downwards and then your gaze catches on a mop of black hair nestled between Remus’s thighs.
You feel a zap of pleasure hit your navel and your cunt pulses on instinct when you realize what’s going on. Your lips open and close for a moment as you try to clear the sudden fog that has clouded all innocent thoughts. This sound of your throat clearing finally garner’s Remus’s attention.
His head snaps up, eyes catching on your form. He smiles, warm and loving. “Dove. Was wondering when you would get here,” he speaks casually, as if Sirius isn’t currently taking his big cock down his throat. His hips jut forward again and you hear the faint sound of Sirius trying to conceal a gag.
You swallow, your gaze darting under the table before swiftly meeting Remus again. He’s got a knowing smirk plastered on his face now.
“Uhm… Yeah… Hey.” You breathe out a short breath, shifting on your feet as you twiddle with your fingers.
Remus chuckles under his breath, looking down between his thighs to grab onto the silky black locks of Sirius’s hair. He gently tugs to pull the boys mouth off his cock.
Sirius coughs wetly, drool dripping from the sides of his pretty pink lips and his eyes wet. He heaves out a breath before peaking his head out from the table to greet you. His usual wolfish smirk is back in no time. “Hi, dolly. Don’t you look stellar.” He eyes you up with a salacious look.
Your cheeks heat, fixed on his messy expression. If anything he’s the one that looks stellar. Your eyes dart between the boys and then to behind you to make sure you’re alone. “Hi. H- Having fun?” You try and tease, but your breathy tone doesn’t do much to help.
Both boys smirk.
“Yeah, Dovey. Lots of fun. Siri was just helping me out here.”
Before Sirius can speak up again Remus is grabbing him by the nape, pushing his head back under the table and stuffing his face between his scarred thighs, nose pressed against the pubic hair under his cock.
A startled sound escaped Sirius but he quickly relaxes and tries to control his breathing with the little air he’s given. He’s used to this kind of behavior from Remus.
But you certainly never will be. An ache starts pulsing in your core and you try to subtly rub your thighs together. “Remus… you’re being… mean…” you mumble, a poor attempt at defending Sirius. All the while trying to put up the front that your panties aren’t getting wetter and wetter by the minute.
Remus squints at you like you said something funny. “And? You know he likes it. And so do you when you’re in his place. Should I put you between my thighs instead, dovey? Give you a reminder?” He taunts.
Your stomach flutters and you feel your body shiver with heat. “Um. That’s… It’s okay, Rem.” You swallow thickly, fidgeting with the hem of your skirt. You deny wanting to help, even though the thought of taking him deep down your throat alights your nerves with pleasure.
He raises a brow, a cruel twinkle in his eyes, knowing. Always knowing. “Oh, it’s okay, is it? Says who? You?” He tilts his head, amused. “That’s cute, darling. Come now, I think it’s your turn.” He gestures to his lap, gently releasing the back of Sirius’s neck to let him come up for air.
Sirius gasps softly, greedily sucking in lungfuls of air. His watery eyes stare up at Remus.
Remus’s heart melts at his pouty expression. “Okay, baby?” He murmurs softly, checking in with Sirius’s state as he gently pets his hair.
Sirius is quick to nod. He’s most definitely okay, the pouting is just inevitable behavior from him. “M’good, moons. Really good,” he assures as he eagerly moves over to make space for you.
You’re still standing, wearily eyeing the open space Sirius has made for you and the lovey dovey eyes he’s giving you. It’s not that you don’t want to, you really do. You’re just… shy right now.
“Baby dove, that’s enough. On your knees, please.” Remus’s tone has morphed into something more stern. A tone he knows will catch your attention.
His voice cuts through your shyness and your eyes go wide. You don’t hesitate to drop to your knees and carefully crawl under the desk next to Sirius.
On your hands and knees, cute little skirt ridden up too far, Remus can clearly see the dark patch at the center of your underwear. He tongues at his molar to hold in his amusement but it’s futile. “Oh, dove,” he coos, ever so gently mocking you.
You freeze, eyes wide at the realization of what he’s pointing out. You quickly climb the rest of the way under the table and sit on your knees to hide the mess between your thighs.
Sirius chuckles from beside you. “Already, sweetness?”
Your cheeks are blazing. “Yes, already. S’not my fault,” you grumble. But then your eyes fixate on Remus’s cock hanging heavy between his thighs. You swallow, throat suddenly a lot more wet. Almost like it’s preparing itself.
Both boys chuckle.
“Alright now, Dovey. Why don’t you give Siri a kiss hello and then come here.” Remus directs as he pats his thigh.
You eagerly turn to Sirius. He cups the side of your face and brings you into a deep, sensual kiss. Your breath stutters when you taste Remus on his lips.
Sirius pulls back first and you try to chase him. He gives you a few more soft kisses until he grabs you by the waist and and all but lifts to the spot in between Remus’s thighs. “Show Moony how good you’re gonna take him, yeah?”
Your breath hitches at his manhandling, his body shuffling closer to press his chest against your back. You’re trapped now, nestled between Remus’s legs with no escape. Wide eyes catch on the throbbing length mere inches away from your face.
Remus has taken to languidly stroking up and down the length of his cock, eyes peering down at you with hunger. He almost laughs at the awe in your expression. “Need help, dove?” He inquires, releasing his cock and letting it hang heavy.
You shift on your knees, hesitant. But you shake your head. “M’not nervous. I-I can do it. I’ve done it… a bunch of times before…” you insist, but your breathy tone of voice and choice of words suggest otherwise.
Sirius chuckles from behind you. “We know you have dolly. And you’re so stellar at it,” he murmurs praises into the shell of your ear. All while cupping the back of your hand in his and guiding it to wrap around Remus’s cock.
Said boy groans at your soft touch, hips shifting forward as he languidly sinks in his seat. He gives you an encouraging smirk.
Your confidence rises once you’ve finally got a grip on Remus. His dick hot and heavy in your hand.
Sirius guides your hand up and down in soft strokes, spreading the saliva that still encompasses Remus’s length from his own sucking earlier.
“Give me a kiss, baby,” Remus instructs as he places a heavy hand on the back of your head, gently nudging you forward.
You shake off Sirius’s hand, leaning forward to press a soft, opened mouth kiss on the pretty vein, following up the length of his cock. Soft kisses up until you reach his aching tip.
Lips part and then you’re enveloping the flushed tip into the heat of your mouth.
Remus’s head knocks back, a soft strangled groan escaping his parted lips.
Soft sucks and your tongue swipes and lolls over him. Sirius working love bites and kisses against the bare skin of Remus’s hip while you do.
“Don’t be shy, baby.” Remus says then, hand a little heavier on your nape to encourage you to sink down further.
With a deep breath you relax your throat, letting him nudge at the soft palette of your mouth and sinking down until his tip hits the back of your throat. A soft gag emits and Sirius pets your hair to calm you.
“Shh, dolly. Gotta be quiet, yeah? You know better,” he quietly chastises.
You feel heat swell in your cheeks, embarassed at being scolded. You try to come off but Remus keeps you in place.
“No, darling. Breathe through your nose, you can do it. All the way down,” he murmurs.
White hot heat floods your navel, thighs clenching at the roughness of his tone and refusal to let you up. With a deep breath you let Remus push you down, holding you still once the prickly hairs at his base tickle your nose.
Distracted by the full feeling of Remus down your throat, your barely notice Sirius’s wandering hands until his deft fingers have slipped under your skirt and swirl at your clit through your panties.
You jump at the sensation, consequently gagging around Remus’s length.
He’s quick to pull you off, gentle but swift. Wet coughs sound from your mouth, though muffled as you try to keep quiet.
“Poor baby.” Sirius coos, kissing up the side of your neck as you catch your breath. The slightest hint of patronizing in his tone makes your belly roll. Not to mention his fingers haven’t stopped their toying.
Remus gazes down at you with lustful amusement, tugging at his cock as he stares down at your teary face. “Alright, Dovey?” Though amused his tone carries a hint of concern, always putting your wellbeing first.
You’re quick to nod your head, wiping your face of saliva and snot. “M’fine,” you croak, thighs trembling under Sirius’s administrations. “Can go again, promise.”
Remus tilts his head, smiling with a knowing gaze. “You sure? If you can’t I’m sure Sirius would have no problem finishing me off—“
“No!” You hastily interrupt. “N-No, please, please? Can do it, want to do it, Rem,” you plead.
Chuckles come from both boys, pleased at your desperation.
“Alright then, dove. Show me you can take it.” Remus releases his grasp on his cock, letting you guide it into your mouth once again. This time you’re down at the base in no time, swallowing thickly and letting your throat tighten up around him.
“Fuck—“ he hisses, hips jutting forward. The sensation is erotic, combined with the circles and lines Sirius rolls against your bud has you keening forward.
“Gods, dovey, take it.” Remus rocks forward, fucking into your throat with a vigor that has you resisting a gag. You sob around him, thighs tight around Sirius’s wrist and resisting the urge to cum before Remus has.
Sirius chuckles against your neck, speeding up his circles just to torture you further. “You know the rules, babydoll. Wait for Remus.”
You whine around his length, squeezing your eyes shut to try and hold back.
“Fuck baby- god. M’gonna—“ Remus bucks his hips once, twice, and then holds your head down tight as his cock throbs, pumping thick loads of cum down your throat. With a whine you follow him, cumming hard, throat tightening as you swallow him down.
After a few moments Remus lets you up, allowing you to swallow the rest of his cum and come up for a breather.
Sirius holds you tight to his chest, kissing anywhere he can reach and whispering praises. “So good for us, darling. Made Remus feel so good. Didn’t they, Rem?” He looks up to Remus with a knowing smile.
Remus smirks dopily down at you two as he tucks himself back into his trousers. “Course you did, dovey. M’so proud of you.
You smile wetly, leaning back into Sirius with an air of pleased exhaustion. Bliss. “That was fun…” you giggle.
The boys huff out soft laughs.
After a moment Remus ducks down, crawling under the table to hold both of you in his arms. “My best lovies…” he’s whispers, and the world disappears with you in their arms.

Absolute Beginners
[poly!Wolfstar x Reader]
A/N: Well, I made a self-indulgent drabble for my first wolfstar fic cause I had a rough day and needed it remedied via delusion. This is for my chronic fatigue fam who might not have the support they need. And yet they have things to do, like get a car or else they won't be able to get to work. 😬👍 So this is me rewriting a frustrating irl situation into a loving one! Hope you enjoy.
Song: Absolute Beginners by David Bowie
UPDATES ON MARAUDERS REQUESTS/CONTENT
Warnings: none I think. Just fluff. Enjoy!
+++
"I'm so exhausted," I say as I walk into living room, bag barely hanging onto my shoulder as I drag myself to Remus. I flop down next to him on the couch, his arm instinctively reaching around me.
"I can imagine. You had a long day yesterday, sweetheart. Did the extra rest this morning help at all?" His hand reaches up to my head, gently petting me as if he were soothing an animal.
I nod slightly. "Yeah. Still feel like shite though. Not sure I have the energy to do all this."
"I know, but you have Sirius and I to help. You just need to be there to make sure you like the car, and we'll handle the rest ok?"
"Wish it didn't have to be today," I mumble. "M'hurt."
From the other end of the apartment, Sirius' voice booms across the otherwise quiet apartment. "Sorry, sorry. I'm ready, just got caught up with- oh what's this?" His eyes fall on my slouched against Remus, his eyes furrowing.
"They're still exhausted." Remus says quietly, hand softly moving against my hair.
"Baby-" Sirius' eyes soften, walking over in an instant as he kneels down beside the couch. "Was I too loud today? Did I keep you up?" He says, gently reaching up for my hand.
I hold his hand back, my grip loose around his. "No Pads, just think I need more time to rest up is all. And wish we didn't have to go out today of all days." The end coming out in a grumble.
"Is there no way to reschedule?" Sirius looks up at Remus.
He shakes his head, "I already tried to think, but we've already put it off enough. The day's coming up soon. But don't worry we'll take care of everything, alright darling?" Remus says as his hand moves down to cup my face.
I give a little nod and Sirius's face furrows even more. I hear him sigh as he goes to press a soft kiss to my knuckles. "Well, I'm more than happy to be the conversationalist today. Or your own personal pillow whenever you need." He says, his usual grin splaying across his face.
I smile, tiredly. "Thanks. I just hope we have everything, I wanted to ask so many questions but I-"
Remus chimes in, "I already have them written out. I also pulled some research together the other day to find all we need to look over for the car. One of us will even test drive it for you if you want, so you can just sit in the back seat and see if you like it or not while we handle the more technical things." He presses a kiss to my forehead. "We've got it all covered, don't worry."
I sigh, my shoulders sagging in relief. "Thank you two. I really really wish I wasn't so tired or foggy today of all days."
"That's what we're here for," Sirius says as his hands trace over my palm. "We help each other when we need it. You help Remus every month by making sure he's loved and cared during his transition, you help me when I have my... Moments. And we help you when you're exhausted or overwhelmed. It all works out!"
I look between my two boys, heart so full of gratitude. I'd never had someone to support me like this, to be so understanding and willing to help me when most would tell me to just push through. When I've had to just push through or cancel. Yet... I don't have to do this. Not alone at least. Because of their support. Their love.
Tears start to well up in my eyes as Sirius's widen. "Oh! No, no I didn't mean to make you cry baby."
Remus tilts my chin up so he can see my face better, softening as he notices the water pooling beneath my lashes. "Is it really too much? We can cancel, we can always find another way if it's too much for today." He gently wipes the tears away.
"No," I start, eyes downcast to hide my embarrassment. "I just... I'm still not used to being supported like this. I had to struggle on my own for so long that I- I don't believe you both are real sometimes."
I hear a soft whine from below as Sirius moves up behind my on the couch and wraps pulls my back to him, now sandwiching me between him and Remus.
"We're real, we're here." Remus whispers. His hand running softly across my arm now.
"And there's no way we're letting you do this alone anymore. Nope. You're stuck with us." I could hear Sirius' smirk, his arms wrapping tightly around.
"Exactly. And we wouldn't have it any other way."
I pull Remus to me, his arm resting over Sirius' shoulder now as I hug them both to me. "I love you two, you know that?" My voice comes out breathy.
"And we love you. So much." Remus says, eyes never leaving my face.
"As long as we're together," Sirius starts to sing a familiar melody, ever for the dramatics. Remus looks up to his boyfriend and rolls his eyes, the smile on his face showing he knew where this was going.
"The rest can go to hell." I feel Sirius lean down and whisper in my ear, making me chuckle.
"I absolutely love you." His fingers brushing past my hair. Remus is just as mesmerized, quietly listening.
"But we're absolute beginners."
"Kinda feels like it sometimes," I say.
"But if my love is your love," He sings with a softness now, turning my face toward him. His eyes deeply holding mine, mesmerizing.
"We're certain to succeed."

request guidelines 𖹭.ᐟ
just to keep this space cozy, respectful, and aligned with what i enjoy writing, here’s a list of things i don’t take requests for. please read this before sending something in <3
what i won’t write ✗
male reader — i genuinely don’t feel i can do it justice. ↳ all requests will be written as fem!reader by default unless gn is specifically requested.
original characters (ocs) — this is a reader-insert focused blog only
incest of any kind
bullying between love interests (playful teasing is okay, cruelty isn’t)
smut requests — i only write it when i feel inspired, not by request
extreme dom/sub dynamics or anything heavily kink-centered
reader as a parent to the marauders (no dad!reader or mum!reader) ↳ i’m happy to write reader as a sibling or childhood friend instead
pregnancy / maternal fics — i don’t enjoy writing maternal themes ↳ you can try requesting it, but it’s not guaranteed i’ll take it
yandere or obsessive behaviors framed as romantic
cheating, love triangles with betrayal, or pining where someone ends up humiliated
abusive relationships or anything that romanticizes trauma
religious-centered plots
major real-world historical trauma settings (ex: war, genocide, etc)
specific gender roles or stereotypes that feel limiting or uncomfortable
poly fics where it’s just reader being adored by multiple characters — if i write poly, everyone in the relationship loves each other equally
“reader worship” style requests — i focus on connection and storytelling, not fantasy fulfillment
characters i write for ᝰ.ᐟ
i mostly stick to the marauders era, and here are the characters i currently take requests for:
sirius black
remus lupin
james potter
regulus black
barty crouch jr
(other characters may show up in the background or as side characters, but these are the mains i focus on.)
ships i write for ⭑.ᐟ
poly marauders (remus / sirius / james)
poly jegulus (james / regulus)
poly wolfstar (sirius / remus / reader)
poly jegulily (james / regulus / lily)
poly bartylus (barty / regulus)
poly prongsfoot (james / sirius)
poly moonwater (remus / regulus)
(i don’t write monogamous ships between characters unless reader is involved. for reader x character content, feel free to request any dynamic you love from the list above!)
please be specific when requesting ✧
vague requests like “can you write fluff with remus?” are really hard for me to work with — i usually can’t fill them. to help me bring your idea to life, please include some detail! for example:
the kind of moment or dynamic you’re picturing
any visuals, lines, settings, or feelings you want me to include
the general tone (crack? hurt/comfort? fluff? angst?)
on angst and sad endings ⸝⸝.ᐟ⋆
i do not take requests for extremely sad or tragic endings
if i write angst, it will always include hope, healing, or hurt/comfort
full sadness or grief-focused stories only happen when i feel inspired to write them — not by request
important notes ؛ ଓ
not all requests are guaranteed to be filled — i do my best, and i always read every one with care
sometimes, the final fic may not align exactly 1:1 with your original idea — i may change or adapt parts to match what i'm comfortable writing or what sparks my creativity ↳ that said, the core of the story will still be inspired by your request
i don’t write on a schedule, and my queue can get slow depending on life and inspiration
thank you for trusting me with your thoughts and characters — this space wouldn’t exist without your kindness and imagination !! <3

omg as a diabetic i've not really seen many fics about this but your fic was lovely!!! what about a diabetic read with the marauders )any ship or person) where they had a slightly nasty argument and she's not feeling well (sugar levels or whatever u decide) and she doesn't tell them because of the fight and comfort with sprinkles of angst ensue? it was just a thought, if you're up for it! <3
Thank you lovely <3
cw: reader has diabetes, dizziness/lightheadedness, brief mention of blood, for anyone unfamiliar with diabetes the “meter” here refers to a blood glucose meter which reports blood sugar levels
poly!wolfstar x fem!reader ♡ 1.7k words
You seem to have inadvertently laid claim to the sitting room. Sirius stalked off into the kitchen and hasn’t come back, and Remus is down the hall avoiding the pair of you, as he’s taken to doing whenever you and Sirius argue. He might come talk sense into you if it were really serious, but Remus has had his own share of domestic squabbles with both of you; he leaves you to sort this one out by yourselves.
A few minutes ago, through the smog of your anger, you recognized a feeling of wrongness. The timing is uncanny. Sirius had only just gone into the kitchen when you realized you needed to be there yourself. Now, even if you could brave the iciness of your boyfriend’s rancor, you don’t think you could stand to get what you need in front of him.
The second you reach for one of your glucose-boosting shakes, Sirius will know your blood sugar is low, and then you’ll be a victim to him.
Or not a victim, necessarily, but someone in need of care. Someone he has to look after, and who he can’t be angry at, and that’s not fair to him. Even if you do want to stop fighting, you don’t want to win that way.
But a few more minutes of doing nothing and you aren’t sure you’ll be able to stand properly from this couch.
Remus peeks into the living room. Finding only you, he comes over.
“Okay?” he asks quietly, sitting beside you. He means your argument; Remus is perceptive, but he’s not that good.
“Yeah.” You loose a breath. “He’s so stubborn.”
“So are you,” he says, not without fondness.
“But I’m right.”
Remus hums and kisses the side of your head. You try not to melt too obviously; your head is starting to ache from the drop in blood sugar, and you really are beginning to feel somewhat pitiful. “If I tell you something,” he murmurs, “you have to keep it a secret.”
You look at him, intrigued. “What?”
Remus’ lips give a slight tug. “I agree with you.”
You grin, smug and extremely vindicated. Remus holds up a hand.
“But,” he goes on, “I think you should apologize to him.”
Just like that, your smile dissipates. Your headache feels like it’s getting worse. “Why?”
The look Remus gives you is kind, but tinged with bemusement. “You were harsh with him, sweetheart. I understand being upset, but you didn’t need to lay into him the way you did. It was only a small thing.” He lowers his voice. “I think he might not have dug his heels in quite so deeply if you’d only asked him nicely.”
You frown, guilt and irritation warring within you. “He’s always stubborn. It doesn’t matter what I say.”
“It matters,” says Remus. “Listen, I can’t know for sure, but I think if you apologized to him, he’d apologize back. And maybe then you could find an agreement about the whole thing.”
You sigh, letting your weight sag into Remus’ side. Your hands are starting to tremble in your lap. “I’d rather just tell him you think I’m right,” you say.
You hear the smile in Remus’ voice as he kisses your head again. “I know.”
You manage to stand without teetering. Remus waits in the sitting room while you go to the kitchen, where you find your boyfriend eating frosting broodily out of a tin. He spares you hardly a glance as you come in, sucking his spoon clean.
“I didn’t mean to be harsh,” you say softly.
Sirius scoffs. “Didn’t stop you.”
“I didn’t realize I was being so harsh,” you amend. Even as you do, it’s hard to keep the bite from your tone. You know that you’re particularly irritable when your blood sugar is low; however, knowing that doesn’t actually make you feel any less irritated. “I’m sorry.”
Sirius shakes his head. He’s still looking at the cabinets rather than at you. “Just because I don’t do things the way you want me to doesn’t make me completely incompetent.”
This apology might take longer than you bargained for. You set a hand on the counter as a wave of dizziness passes over you. Maybe you can drink your shake while apologizing? But Sirius is standing between you and the fridge.
“I wasn’t trying to call you incompetent,” you say through the fog that’s descending over your consciousness.
“That’s sure what it sounded like,” Sirius bites out.
“Well, I don’t think you are. I just…I think I’m in a mood, and I’m saying things I don’t mean. I’m sorry.”
It’s a rare enough admittance from you that Sirius looks over. One of his dark brows is half quirked, intrigue palpable.
“Really?” he asks.
“Really.” It feels like a weight off your shoulders; you think you physically slump. “I still think I’m right, but I shouldn’t have been so mean. Not,” you add, unable to help yourself, “that you were very nice to me either. But I started it.”
A corner of Sirius’ mouth kicks up. “You did start it,” he agrees, softening. “I’m sorry, too. For not being very nice.”
“It’s okay.” You try to smile back at him, eyeing the fridge. “Um, could I…I need the fridge.”
He laughs, stepping aside. “Awe, that’s my darling girl. She’s feigned an apology because she’s hungry for lunch.”
“Ha ha,” you reply drolly.
As you step around him, Sirius palms the back of your neck, pulling you in for a brief kiss. You wish you could appreciate it better. You’re starting to feel rather unsteady, your lips tingling without the warmth.
“Hey,” he says.
You open the fridge, pushing condiments aside and reaching towards the back. Sirius sets a hand to your lower back.
“Baby. You’re sweating.”
“I’m okay,” you tell him, closing the fridge. You see him register the bottle in your hand, and you try to affect an expression of insouciance as you screw off the cap. “Just a little low.”
“You’re low? For how long?” Sirius is gripping you with both hands now, one on your waist and the other at your elbow. He seems afraid you’ll keel over; you wish it were a less founded fear. “What’s your blood sugar at?”
“Not sure,” you admit quietly. Your meter is in here, too, just behind where Sirius is standing. You sip your shake, nearly draining the small bottle. “It doesn’t matter, I’ll be good soon.”
“Sweetheart.” Sirius’ brows bend, worry and bafflement warring in his expression. “Why didn’t you say?”
“Because it’s fine.” You shrug, avoiding his eyes. “I didn’t want us to stop fighting just because of that. You were angry with me for valid reasons.”
“I’m still angry with you,” he says, making you look at him in surprise, “but now for completely different reasons. What were you thinking?”
His raised voice attracts Remus, come now to keep the peace.
“It wasn’t a big problem,” you try to reassure Sirius. “I had it handled.”
“Staying away from what you need just because I’m upset is not handling it, baby.”
“What’s going on?” Remus asks, looking between the two of you bemusedly. It’s not like Sirius to use sweet names when he’s angry, or like you to be so defensive after you’ve agreed to patch things up. “Have you managed to start another row already?”
“Her blood sugar is low, and she wasn’t going to do anything about it because she thought I was angry with her,” Sirius tells him.
“You were angry with me,” you say.
Remus looks at you, his eyes skimming you over quickly. “How low?” he asks.
Sirius crosses his arms. “She doesn’t know.”
You let out a breath, starting to feel teary. Another argument, on top of your headache and dizziness and the general weariness of your physical form at the moment, is too much.
“It doesn’t matter,” you say. “I knew I was low, I was already handling it.”
“Of course it matters, lovely,” Remus replies, disappointment permeating the usual kindness in his tone.
He finds your meter behind Sirius, opening your small kit and putting in a new test strip before taking out the lancet. You let him prick your finger, throwing your empty shake bottle in the trash. Your meter beeps when it gets the reading.
“Oh,” Remus sighs. “Alright. That’ll come up now you’ve had your drink.”
“I know it will,” you mutter.
“Hey.” Sirius all but traps you in a hug, his arms pushing underneath yours and squeezing you harshly. “Don’t do that. Okay? Please.”
You feel yourself soften. One of your hands comes up to stroke the ends of his hair where it falls between his shoulder blades. “You don’t need to worry,” you say.
“Oh, piss off. Try and stop me.”
“I saw you shaking,” Remus admits, his voice soft. You look at him, surprised, but he meets your guilty expression with a half smile. “I only thought it was because you were upset. It’s an odd thing to keep secret from us, isn’t it?”
“I wasn’t keeping it a secret.” You tuck your chin into Sirius’ shoulder. He gives your back a couple of firm rubs before pulling away. “I just didn’t want you to feel like…like you needed to look after me.”
“Too bad,” Sirius says, stubbornly. “We’re going to look after you anyways. Shocked you wouldn’t know that already.”
Remus smiles. He sets a hand to your back, soothing it back and forth between your shoulder blades. “He’s right,” he says. “No matter who’s upset, please don’t hide these things from us. It’s important that we know.”
“Okay,” you mumble, chastised. “Sorry.”
Sirius raises his eyebrows. “Two apologies in one afternoon. Christ, you really must be feeling poorly.”
Remus chuckles. “Should we sit for a while? Give you time to come up.”
“Sure.” That sounds amazing, actually. Even with the glucose working its way into your system, you’re still finding it difficult to stay on your feet. You start back towards the sitting room. “Thanks.”
“Oh, my poor baby.” Sirius wraps his arms around you from behind, forcing you to take small steps to accommodate him. “You’re still shaking, sweet girl.”
“This,” you say, “is exactly what I didn’t want.”
Sirius laughs. He lets you go so you can sit before flopping down beside you, planting a kiss on your cheek. “Maybe next time,” he suggests, “you can be honest with us from the beginning, and I’ll let you be a bit choosier about what reaction you get.”

cw: modern au, chronic pain
poly!wolfstar x fem!reader ♡ 1.3k words
Remus still wakes before dark every morning. It’s automatic, an urgency and excitement that thrums through him like an old instinct, born from years of his alarm clock rousing him at this time. The rink is always at its best right now, when they’ve just finished resurfacing the ice and no one else is around. It was Remus’ favorite time to practice.
Now, he has a new reason to get up. His hip clicks as he does it, so he starts his day with a couple of proactive painkillers. If he really wanted to be proactive he would stretch like he’s supposed to, but there’s no time and Remus doesn’t feel like it. He’ll pay his toll for the negligence later.
The webpage of his Airbnb boasted a five-minute walk to the rink, but with his hip it takes Remus seven. It’s like an odd sort of muscle memory, an old routine from another life that feels as bitter as it does comfortable. He heads out early to give himself some cushion. The streets are empty but for bakers and baristas, the first hints of dawn tinging the sky a deep blue. When he turns a corner and the rink comes into view, the absence of his bag hanging from his shoulder is a phantom ache.
The front doors are locked but the side one staff uses isn’t, the Zamboni driver already inside. Remus lets himself in, makes a cup of tea from the hot water dispenser they leave out when concessions are closed, plants himself on a bench, and waits.
And waits.
And waits.
Remus has nearly nodded off when two pairs of shoes come bounding up to him. Well, one pair bounds. The other drags.
“Hi, sorry we’re late.” You’re breathless and hauling a sullen-looking boy along behind you by the hand, but you manage a smile when Remus looks up at you. “I had to run over and get him out of bed. It’s good to meet you!”
You hold out your untethered hand. Remus might normally stand to take it, but he no longer feels like doing you the courtesy. Your grip is firm and warm.
“You were supposed to be here at six,” he says.
You wince. “I know. Sorry, Sirius is really not a morning person.”
Remus thinks that he might put more stock into your apologies if you looked a tad more contrite. As it is, your countenance is almost cheery, a fizzy eagerness about you as you look between him and the ice like you can’t wait to get out on it.
In stark contrast, the ill-tempered boy behind you seems not to have a clue where he is. He looks rumpled and disoriented, squinting in the rink’s fluorescent light.
“Then why didn’t you pick another time?” Remus asks.
He hadn’t realized he was still looking at Sirius, or that the other boy could talk, so it’s a surprise when he answers. “Wasn’t my bloody idea.”
By the way you grin, Remus wonders if you’ve even heard the obvious bitterness in your partner’s tone, or whether it’s gone straight over your head.
“I like the rink better early,” you explain. “No one else ever comes before the hockey practice starts at nine, and they’ll have just finished resurfacing the ice.”
Begrudgingly, Remus nods. “I always preferred it about now, too.”
He realizes immediately that his agreement was a mistake, because your smile grows into something far too brilliant for the early hour. Christ, what has he gotten himself into? There’s you, starry-eyed and effervescing all over the place, and your partner, who looks more inclined to fall asleep on your shoulder than put on his skates.
And this is the pair skating duo Remus is supposed to take to the Olympics.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
“Watch that back foot!” Remus shouts across the ice.
Sirius doesn’t look happy about it, but he corrects the placement of his skate, transitioning smoothly into the next synced turn.
“Good,” Remus murmurs to himself.
Once Sirius got out on the ice and woke up a bit, he was good. He skates with the technical proficiency of someone who’s been in the sport since before they started primary school, and the intuitive artistry of someone who loves it. You’re much the same, though your virtuosity and obvious competence are consistently undercut by hesitation, the grace of your movements interrupted when you second-guess yourself. But these—technical prowess paired with devotion—are the basics of what makes a good figure skater. You’ll have to be flawless if you want to do well at the Olympics.
And Remus has found many flaws.
“No, no—shit!” Remus stands as you fall out of your jump again, catching yourself on your forearms. “You’re still under-rotating! Come on!”
Sirius snarls a quick “Hey!” over his shoulder before turning his back on Remus, going to help you up. He speaks to you quietly, checking you over as you stand. Remus seethes.
He has no clue why he’s been called out here to coach a pair. Remus doesn’t know pairs, has never been a part of one. He was a solo skater. And frankly, it makes him wary that what’s supposed to be the best skating pair in Britain has asked him, a former solo skater who’s been isolated from the figure skating community in general for the past two years, to coach them. But Remus does know figure skating. And he knows when skaters are making stupid mistakes behind their skill level.
“What aren’t you understanding?” asks Remus as you skate back to the edge of the rink. He really wants to know. “It’s simple. You can do this.” He knows he could have. As easy as breathing, and he would kill to have the chance again.
“What the fuck is your problem?”
Sirius’ glare is sharp as knives. He steps off the ice before you can, positioning himself between you and Remus. Your lips purse with a knowing sort of apprehension.
“Sirius…”
“No, you don’t talk to her like that,” Sirius spits. “It was a tiny mistake.”
Remus raises his eyebrows, incredulous. “I’m trying to help her! It was a giant mistake, with a simple fix. You ought to be telling her the same, unless you’re okay with your partner snapping her ankle weeks out from competition.”
“None of that means you get to fucking yell at her! Who do you think you are?”
“Okay—”
“I’m her coach,” says Remus, voice rising, “and—”
“Then coach her! Maybe if you’d give some actual fucking feedback instead of just nitpicking—”
“Okay!” Your shout cuts through the space, echoing in the empty rink and silencing the other two. “That’s enough.”
You haul Sirius back by his shoulder. Your grip doesn’t look severe enough to move him, but he goes, stepping back to your side. His eyes never leave Remus’.
Your own gaze jumps between both boys, that same spark he’d seen in you earlier burning with a different light.
“Let’s call it for today,” you say firmly. “Okay? We’ll try again tomorrow.”
Neither boy speaks, though Remus nods. It seems to be taking all of Sirius’ willpower to bite his tongue. He gets the impression it isn’t something he succeeds at often, so Remus isn’t ashamed to say that it brings him a perverse sort of joy to see it now. His tiny bit of smugness fizzles out, though, when your eyes land on him. There’s something desolate in your expression that’s a salient deviation from how you’d looked at him before. Remus has the sinking feeling that he’s disappointed you. It’s more distressing than he can account for.
“We’ll be here on time tomorrow,” you say in that same steady tone. “And my jump, I’ll work on it.”
Remus nods again. You return it, and when you turn to leave, you drag Sirius after you by his shirtsleeve, picking up your bags along your way. Remus’ mouth feels dry. His lips are chapped, his fingertips hurt from the cold, and the sight of your skates sinking into the rubbery floor makes his hip ache terribly.
It’s only once you’re nearly out of earshot that he manages to mumble, “Thank you.”

could i request poly!wolfstar or poly!jily where they’re pursuing reader and reader accidentally matches with them (like matching costumes) at a halloween party?
i think the teasing and flirting would be so cute!! 🥰
Thanks for requesting!
cw: mention of alcohol, smoking, Sirius makes lame and humorously objectifying jokes
poly!wolfstar x fem!reader ♡ 1.5k words
You arrive to the party late, the Gryffindor common room already bustling by the time you and your friends have finished doing your last-minute costume alterations. There are glowing pumpkins floating on the ceiling, someone has charmed the room so that a thick layer of fog drifts along the floor, and the air already smells slightly of booze and cigarette smoke.
You lose Lily’s attention immediately, but that’s to be expected. You’re more than accustomed by now to her searching for her boyfriend whenever you enter a room. What’s unexpected, however, is her reaction when she finds him.
“Uh oh.”
“Uh oh?” You look at her, following her gaze to the couch across the room. “Oh. Oh, no.”
Lily laughs. “It sort of seems like fate, doesn’t it? I think it’s sweet.”
Sitting on their usual couch are the marauders. James, predictably, is wearing a costume matching Lily’s; they’ve both come as cowboys. Unfortunately, Sirius and Remus are sitting next to him dressed as pirates.
You’re also dressed as a pirate.
“It’s not sweet,” you moan. “If I go back up, do you think Marlene will make me some of her fake blood? I can change and be a vampire instead.”
Lily hums. “Think it’s too late for that, babe.”
She’s looking back towards the couch, where the boys have already caught sight of the pair of you. Sirius is beaming something atrocious, and even Remus looks amused while his boyfriend waves you over exuberantly.
Lily takes your hand in hers, tugging you with her as she goes to them.
“Howdy, darlin’.” James puts on an exaggerated southern drawl as you approach, opening his arms to his girlfriend.
“My, my,” says Sirius as you sit between him and Lily, “don’t you look nice.”
You ignore the warmth that brings to your face. “The point wasn’t really to look nice.”
Your costume is thrown together from things you already had, the only thing that really distinguishes you as a pirate being the bandana you’ve tied around your head. Remus appears to have gone a similar route, although the white shirt he’s tucked into his pants looks a bit more on-theme than yours and he’s clearly been forced to wear an eye patch which is currently flipped up so that it’s not covering anything. Sirius, of course, does nothing halfway. He’s wearing a billowy black top that’s been unbuttoned nearly to his navel, more belts and buckles than you knew one person could have, and a captain’s hat he surely bought just for the occasion. Altogether, you make a fairly fearsome group.
“Not sure you can help it, gorgeous.” Sirius winks at you. “You always look nice. Did you plant a spy to find out what you needed to wear to match us, then?”
You roll your eyes good-naturedly. “I should probably be asking you that.”
“Must’ve just been fate,” Sirius says. It’s so close to what Lily said that your cheeks blaze, but you also don’t know if you quite believe him. Remus, too, turns to give his boyfriend a questioning look.
Sirius catches it and scoffs, holding up his hands. “I didn’t! Honestly.”
Remus nods, appeased. In a less booming voice than his boyfriend’s, he tells you, “You do look very nice.”
“Thanks.” You catch yourself fingering the ends of your hair like a nervous schoolgirl and tuck your hands underneath your thighs. “So do both of you.”
Sirius grins knowingly, and you have to fight the urge to shove your face into Lily’s shoulder for refuge. He knows as well as you do that for all of his brazen flirting, it’s Remus’ quiet sincerity that flusters you the most. You’re not sure when it started, exactly, but it’s been clear for some time now that both boys are interested in you. You’re not sure in what capacity—they could want to take you to bed for one night, integrate you into their relationship, or anything in between—but as of yet you’ve neither encouraged nor discouraged their advances.
“Thanks, dollface.” Sirius gives a winsome crack of a smile. “You know, I’ve already acquired some booty, but I wouldn’t mind winning some more.”
“Sirius…” Remus groans.
You feel your eyebrows pinch. “Some what?”
“You know, like pirate’s loot? My booty.” Sirius sidles closer to Remus, giving his thigh a solid pat.
Remus’ eyes narrow. “I will leave you here and go back upstairs right now.” It sounds as though this is not the first time this has been threatened.
“I worked hard for it!” Sirius defends himself.
You cover your mouth against an appalled giggle. “It?”
“I toiled, and I fought, and I had to battle many other fearsome ships! It’s mine.”
“Remus,” you stage whisper, “blink twice if you need help.”
Remus’ smile blooms, but when he starts to blink Sirius objects, “Oi!”
“No,” you correct him, “you’re supposed to say ‘arr.’”
Sirius is grinning again, too, clearly chuffed that you’re joking around with them even if it is at his expense. “If I say ‘arr,’ you’ll agree to be my second booty for the rest of the night?”
“I won’t make any promises. But it would be persuasive.”
He growls enthusiastically, “Arrrrgh!” and slams his fist down on the table. The sound it makes is enough to tear James and Lily’s attention away from each other.
“Merlin,” says James. “Did’ya hurt yourself there, Pads?”
“No,” Sirius replies, but he gives his hand a little shake.
Remus, rolling his eyes, takes it and kisses the side. He brings it into his lap for safekeeping. Your heart gives a painful little throb.
You must have some stupid lovestruck look on your face, because Lily peers around James to see you better, a smile playing on her lips. She knows about your crushes on the two boys, just as well as she knows that you haven’t decided what to do about them yet. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t like to help you along.
“Come on,” she says to James, standing and taking him with her. “Let’s dance, and I’ll let you pretend to lasso me.”
James beams. “Yes!”
You watch them go while Sirius seizes the opportunity to move to your other side, the three of you taking up the entirety of the couch.
“Phew,” he sighs, swinging his feet over the armrest.
“You may want to take your legs out of the fog,” Remus suggests, also using the new space to bring his feet onto the couch. “It gets sticky after a while.”
You frown but do as he says, pulling your feet from your shoes so that only your socks are on the couch. And sure enough, when you touch a finger to your ankle it feels like there’s an odd sort of coating over it.
“I thought it was just fog,” you say.
“It was supposed to be,” agrees Sirius, “but James entrusted the task of making it to Marlene, and there are some who think she might’ve laced it with some sort of drink.”
“I’m some,” Remus owns.
You smile. “So is the point that you should be able to…drink the fog?”
“No clue.” Sirius leans over the edge of the couch. “Let’s find out.”
“Sirius, no,” Remus says weakly, trailing off when it’s clear the other boy won’t be deterred. You both watch as he sucks in what fog he can, closing his mouth around it. “That’s disgusting, everyone’s been walking around in it.”
“I think it might be brandy,” Sirius muses. “It’s faint, though.”
Remus frowns. “I’m not kissing you until you brush your teeth.”
Sirius grins. “Yes, you are.”
“We’ll see, won’t we?”
“Wouldn’t you rather just get your own drink?” you ask Sirius. “Rather than sampling the faint traces of brandy that have been touched by other people’s shoes, I mean.”
“Oh, rest assured, gorgeous, I’m all covered.” Sirius picks a cup up from the table. He seems to notice at the same moment that you don’t have a cup of your own. “Would you like one, though?”
You glance to the table cluttered with alcohol and mixers, a throng of students clustered around it. “I’ll get one in a bit.”
“Let me.” Sirius stands. He edges around the table, stopping to pinch your chin affectionately and give his boyfriend a kiss. “Rem, my love, keep her company, would you?”
“You don’t have to,” you object. “I can get it.”
“No, don’t be ridiculous. A pirate has to take care of his booty, hasn’t he?”
“I never agreed to that!” you call after him. In a quieter voice, you add, “And I don’t think that’s how the relationship between a pirate and their booty works.”
“Let him go,” Remus advises you. You startle a bit when his hand finds your knee, resting there in fond commiseration. “If he’s going to degrade us like this, he can at least bring us drinks.”
You feel your lips tilt. “Are you really going to let him call you his booty all night?”
“Probably.” Remus shrugs, his eyes finding his boyfriend across the room. “Anyway, it’s nice not to be alone in it. As far as he’s concerned, you’re already his as well.”

Hi lovely! I’ve been wanting to request to you for while bc I love your writing so much but I’m not used to requesting so idk 😭
Ok so I LOVE the way you write for wolfstar x reader. I was wondering if you could write smth where reader gets drunk (or just tipsy) and, bc of the alcohol, she gets more confident and starts being super verbally affectionate when she normally isn’t. It’s not that she’s shy but she just isn’t really a verbally affectionate person.
Thank you lovely!
cw: alcohol, inebriation

“You don’t just casually brush a customer’s hand unless you’re hitting on them!” Sirius insists as he jimmies his key in the front door. “And right in front of us, too. The gall!”
“I’m sure he didn’t mean to.” He can practically hear Remus’ eyes rolling. “He wasn’t hitting on me.”
“Our angel and I didn’t get felt up when he gave us our drinks.”
Something suspiciously giggle-esque comes out of Remus. “He didn’t feel me up!”
“I think you just don’t understand how handsome you are,” you say in a voice made of dandelion fluff, soft and light and pure. “People like you more than you realize. It’s sort of sweet how you don’t notice, though.”
The lock finally gives. Sirius opens the door gallantly, allowing you and Remus to spill inside first. You’re clinging to your boyfriend like moss to a tree, and Sirius is endlessly grateful for Remus’ physical stability even in inebriation so that he doesn’t have to support the both of you himself.
Sirius never sets out to be the most sober at the end of the night, but Remus only had as many drinks as Sirius and has somehow ended up twice as tipsy. Sirius’ theory: the bartender took a liking to him and poured him doubles as a token of his affection. Considering Remus’ tall frame, Welsh origins, and the fact that he’s been able to drink Sirius under the table since they were fifteen, this seems the only reasonable explanation.
“Me?” Remus sounds genuinely surprised, a bit of bashfulness creeping into his tone.
“Mhm,” you hum. “Remember that barista last week? She liked you, too, but you couldn’t tell then either.”
“She liked me because I had a simple order.”
You shake your head, smiling up at him all soft and adoring. “No, she liked you because you’re lovely.” You reach up, tracing the lines of one of his scars with your fingertip. “Very, very lovely.”
Sirius is inclined to agree, even as Remus’ face goes a very, very lovely rosy hue. You’re in rare form tonight, honey-tongued and expressive in ways you’re usually not inclined to. You’ve been overflowing with declarations of love and sweetness since you all left the bar.
“Do you want something to drink, my loves?” Sirius asks as Remus tries to collapse to the floor as carefully as he can so that he can take his shoes off with you stuck to his side.
“Awe, Siri,” you turn to him with a look of wonder, “are you gonna make sure we’re fed and watered?”
Sirius can’t help himself. He crouches beside you, slotting his hand alongside your face. You’re positively moony-eyed.
“I sure am, sweetness. Is that okay with you?”
You nod, rubbing your cheek against his palm. “I love you when you take care of us. I mean,” you get very serious, “I love you all of the time. It’s not conditional, just, this is a bit extra.”
Sirius is smiling so hard his cheeks hurt. “Noted,” he tells you.
You continue to look at him with that sweet, dreamy expression, and Sirius realizes you’ve likely forgotten he ever asked you a question. He’d be content to do this with you all night, except the only thing that sounds better than sitting here holding your face is getting to hold both you and Remus once he gets you both in bed.
Also, now your boyfriend is watching the two of you with a lovelorn expression, clearly feeling left out, and Sirius can’t have that.
“Do you want some water, darling?” he asks him.
Remus’ cheeks pinken again at being caught. “I wouldn’t mind some. I can get it.”
“No, you say here.” Sirius stands, setting a fond hand atop his boyfriend’s head. “Why don’t you two take your shoes off, and I’ll bring it to you.”
Sirius can hear you and Remus whispering and giggling to each other from the kitchen. Your voices intertwine in a sweet, steady susurrus, as much as part of your home as the hum of the refrigerator or the creaking of the pipes. When Sirius comes back with a cup for each of you, you’ve waylaid Remus on the floor, your torso half atop his and his hands cupping your face. You’re both smiling tenderheartedly. One of your shoes is still on, the clasp undone. Sirius sits by your feet.
“My lovely dovely,” Remus is murmuring, sozzled, squishing your face between his hands. You look nearly ready to melt into a puddle on their floor when you feel Sirius pulling off your remaining shoe and look back at him.
“Sirius.” You appear delighted to see him. “Did you have a fun time tonight?”
He presses cups of water into both of your hands. You sit up to drink yours, whereas Remus tips the cup half on his face when he tries to drink it lying down.
“I did,” Sirius replies. He clasps Remus’ hand to help him up, and the other boy lets him. “Did you?”
Remus runs his fingers up the length of Sirius’ forearm. “Did you really?” he asks. There’s a small divot of worry between his brows.
Sirius frowns. He leans forward, kissing it away. “Of course I did, lovely. Why are you asking?”
“We were just saying,” you answer for him, “that we hope you did still have a good time, even though now you have to look after us.”
A little laugh puffs out of Sirius, relieved. “Oh. Well you’ve got nothing to worry about there, yeah? I love looking after you.”
You glance at Remus, smiling. “That’s what I said.”
“Next time,” Remus says somberly, “you can get as drunk as you like, and we’ll bring you home and feed you water.”
“And massage your back,” you add. “And give you cuddles, if you like.”
“I like the sound of that very much,” Sirius agrees. “Is this your way of telling me you’d like back massages and cuddles?”
You smile at him dopily. “I love you,” you say.
Sirius rolls his eyes. “I love you too. Alright, you win. Back massages and cuddles if you both finish your waters and get in bed.”

Hi lovely! Can you do poly!wolfstar or either of the two with reader who suddenly feels rlly overstimulated at a party despite the fact that she parties a lot? Thank you! <33
Thank you for requesting <3
cw: overstimulation, not explicitly a panic attack but looks p similar, thick crowd/claustrophobia
poly!wolfstar x fem!reader ♡ 1.2k words
The crush of bodies is almost too dense to see through. Luckily, Remus can look over most heads.
He ought to have known better than to try to carry three drinks on his own. Nearly a third of the one that’ll have to be his has spilled down his hand and wrist, the three of them held over his head as he pushes through the crowd. It’s a rather large apartment, but an apartment still, which Sirius' coworker has absolutely packed with people. Remus is fairly sure if he looked over he’d see the door to the hallway is open, party guests spilling out into the hall where the smoke from cigarettes and spliffs floats back inside. It’s a nice home, but it smells like any underground club now, like smoke and drink and too many bodies.
You and Sirius aren’t where Remus left you. He doesn’t think much of it. It’s difficult to stay in one place with this many people moving about like undisciplined schools of fish. He skims over the tops of heads until he finds a familiar one, Sirius’ dark hair gleaming in the low light of a corner. He’s holding you close to his front, your face in his neck and his hand cupped protectively over the back of your head. He looks like he’s speaking into your ear, dark brows pinched.
Remus’ heart clenches.
He spills more of your drinks as he hastens to you, sets them down on a mantle on the way. Sirius catches his eyes when he’s nearly there. He says something to you, rubbing your back.
“Hi.” Remus has to speak louder than he likes, over the sound of too many other voices. He devotes one hand to the back of your neck and the other to Sirius’ shoulder. “Everything alright?”
Sirius shakes his head. He looks anxious. “I don’t know what happened,” he says. In a sweeter voice, his hand moving over your back, “I think we’ve just got a bit overwhelmed, hm?”
You haven’t reacted to Remus’ presence. Now that he’s closer he can see you’ve got your fingers curled in the front of Sirius’ shirt like a lifeline, your grip rigid.
Remus gives Sirius’ shoulder a squeeze. “Sweetheart,” he says gently, “can you look at me?”
You turn your face from Sirius’ neck. Your eyes are glassy and wide, your chest falling in quick, short pants. You look like you don’t know what’s happening to you, either.
“You’re okay.” Remus presses a kiss to your temple, looking around to assess your options. “You’re okay, my love. We’re going to go somewhere quieter, alright?”
The door’s too far. If the crowd’s what’s overwhelming you, it could only make things worse to push through. There’s a line for the only bathroom. But there is a balcony, not too far and better than nothing if you can get to it.
A speaker nearby booms as Remus reaches for Sirius’ hand. He’s murmuring to you, something Remus can’t hear over the music, but he looks up at the touch.
“You’ve got her?” Remus asks.
“Yeah.”
“Okay.” He presses a quick kiss to the back of Sirius’ hand before starting to tug the both of you along.
The crowd parts more easily for Remus than it would for either of you. He mutters sorrys and excuse mes as he plows through with the two of you in tow. Sirius keeps you held tight to him, your hands still fisted in his shirt. When Remus opens the sliding door to the balcony, the difference in both air quality and noise level is pronounced.
“Can we have some space, please?” Remus asks the couple smoking outside. His voice comes out sharper than he intends, curt and all business, but he can’t find it in himself to regret it when they quickly put out their cigarettes and head inside.
Sirius helps you into a chair. “I know, baby, I know, just take a breath. We’re okay, see? Everything’s alright.”
Your first real inhale sends twin tears tumbling down your cheeks. It shudders back out of you. You seem like you’d been frozen, trapped inside your own head, and now you’re coming back out.
“There you go.” Remus’ voice is softer now. It aches in the back of his throat, worry and love and guilt at leaving you two alone. Though you did have each other, and it seems it’s a good thing you did. “Just keep doing like that, babydove. We’ve got you.”
Sirius looks pained at your tears, but he rubs your leg and crouches on the floor so that Remus can take the chair beside yours. Remus sets a hand on his boyfriend’s head as he sits, smoothing down his hair to rub between his shoulders comfortingly.
They let you work through most of your anxiety in silence, offering only the occasional murmur of encouragement or weak, consoling joke about fire codes. Eventually your breaths even out and your tears stop. You let your head loll onto Remus’ shoulder, expelling a sigh.
“I don’t…” you mumble. “Don’t know what just happened.”
They’re both relieved to hear your voice, Sirius squeezing your leg affectionately while Remus smooths a few pieces of hair from your face. “There’s an awful lot going on in there,” says Remus, lips a whisper away from your hairline. “Gets to be a bit much, yeah?”
“I guess.” You sigh again, almost frustratedly. “Sorry, it’s not like I’ve never been to a party before. I don’t get why I did that.”
“You don’t get to be sorry,” Sirius says lightly. He drops a kiss above your knee. “The only person who should be sorry is Michael, when the fire department shows up here because he’s got too many people in his fucking one-bedroom apartment.”
“You tell ‘im.” You sound exhausted. Your head weighs heavy on Remus’ shoulder.
He touches his lips to your hairline. “You feeling ready to call it a night?”
You hum. “I could be, but I’m also okay with sticking around if you guys want to.”
“Oh, my sweetheart.” Sirius surges upward, hugging you around the middle. His nose nuzzles your shoulder, and you smile tiredly, patting him on the back. “You can’t stay here for us after all that. Fuck, I don’t think either of us want to stick around, either.”
“No,” Remus agrees. “This crowd is horrid. I’m ready to go home.”
“I’m ready for pajamas, and cuddles, and” —Sirius’ voice grows muffled as he mushes kisses into your neck— “our soft, soft bed.”
“You make it sound quite nice,” you say, smiling for real now. “I guess I could call it quits for the night. Twist my arm.”
“Yeah, I won’t be hearing any arguments. I want to go home, and you carousers can’t stop me.” Sirius plants a final, firm kiss on your cheek, grinning too.
“It’s going to be a bit of work to get through to the door,” says Remus. He brushes his thumb gently over the place Sirius’ lips had touched, chest warm with affection. “Once you’re feeling up to it, we can go.”
“Oh.” You turn your head to look in through the window at the densely packed apartment. “Do you think we can take a few minutes out here first?”
“Course, sweetheart.” Remus kisses your head, easing it back down onto his shoulder. “Take all the time you need.”

Hey! 👋🏼 Ty for taking the time to write such eloquent and inspiring fluffy works for us!
I'm a writer as well, and what I've read of yours (most of your marauders in the last 2 days 🫣) has scratched an itch I've had for inspiration! This is greatly appreciated!
I was wondering if you'd mind writing something for Gn!reader and poly!Wolfstar where one of them aren't well (a cold or flu perhaps?) and reader cares for them, convinced they won't catch whatever the other has. But, it inevitably happens anyway and then they're all miserable and help each other through it? Muggle AU or whatever you're comfortable with. :)
If not, no worries! I just love your writing style and it's refreshing!
Have a fantastic day!
Thanks for your request babe <33

“Rem.” You kiss your boyfriend’s temple, trying to wake him gently. “Remus.”
He hums, a tired, croaky sound. His face turns further into the pillow.
“Sorry, lovely. Your soup’s going to get cold.”
Remus cracks an eyelid. “Oi,” he grunts. “Get away.”
You let out a breathy laugh, sitting up. “Gosh, you’re so sweet when you’re sick. Aren’t I lucky?”
“You’re going to be sick too if you’re not careful,” he says, though he scoots into an upright position against the pillows of the bed once he sees the soup you’ve made him sitting on the nightstand. You pass it to him. “Thank you, love.”
“Don’t mention it.” You lift your hand, brushing some hair aside to feel his forehead. “How’s your throat?”
As if reminded to do so, Remus makes a gravelly throat-clearing noise before blowing on a spoonful of soup. “Better, I think.”
You make a pitying sound, stroking your thumb over his temple.
There’s a tsk from behind. You turn to find Sirius carrying in a cup of tea. He levels you with a reproachful look.
“You’re begging to get sick.”
You roll your eyes. “I’m not.”
“S’what I told them,” says Remus.
“I never catch the flu,” you defend yourself.
“Just…” Sirius sets Remus’ tea down on the nightstand, taking you by the hips to pull you a few inches down the bed. “Let’s keep some distance from patient zero here. Not that I don’t love you,” he says to Remus with a saccharine smile, “because I do, but I don’t need to miss my work party on Friday because this one felt cuddle deprived.”
“Totally understand.” Remus slurps his soup.
You frown. “It’s nothing so wholly selfish as cuddle deprivation. If I wanted those, I could just get them from—” You’re cut off when a bit of phlegm gets caught in your throat. You clear it hastily. “From you.”
Sirius’ eyebrows have inched upwards. “No, I don’t think you could. You’re catching it already.”
“I am not,” you say, but you can’t help coughing a couple of times. “Sorry, there’s just something stuck in my throat.”
Remus groans. Sirius pins you with a glare.
“Get in the bed.”
Unfortunately, despite Sirius’ best efforts, Friday morning finds all three of you sniffling and foggy-headed, each too warm to tell if the others have a fever.
“Two blankets is plenty,” Remus reasons with Sirius.
“I’m freezing.”
“I’m sweltering.”
“I’m going to make tea.” You haul yourself upright, dragging one of Sirius’ three requested blankets with you like a cape.
“Oh.” Remus sounds hesitant. “I’m sorry, lovely, I ran us out of honey last night. I’ll go to the co-op.”
You try not to let your shoulders slump too obviously with disappointment. Or to curl up on the floor, or to start crying, or any of the things you’d really like to do.
“That’s alright,” you say. “I can just dissolve a cough drop in it. It’ll work the same.”
Sirius whines. “Baby, that sounds pathetic.”
“I’ll only be a few minutes.” Remus starts to rise. “We need more tissues anyway.”
“No,” you and Sirius say at the same time.
“The last time we let you go on an errand,” says Sirius, “we found you nearly passed out in the lift.”
Remus’ already flushed cheeks turn a deeper pink. “I did have all the groceries, though.”
“I’m calling James,” you announce.
“No,” Sirius and Remus chorus.
“Why not?”
“Lily said if we got him sick, she was going to take Harry to her parents’ and leave us to take care of him.”
“James invented the man cold,” Remus tells you, sniffling. “It would be awful.”
“Fine, then I’ll go to the store.”
“No, come here.” Sirius reaches for you, wrestling you back down onto the bed. His warm cheek presses to your clammy forehead. “I’ll do it, I’ll call James. We’ll just tell him to leave the stuff outside the door.”
“You know he’s going to want to come in,” says Remus, though he reclines against the pillows again with a relieved sigh.
“Yes, well.” Sirius sets his lips to your temple. “Better to risk a whiny James than one of you keeling over on the sidewalk, I suppose.”
“I did not keel over.”
“Hush, darling. You’re growing delirious.”

Hi luv, can I request something?
I was thinking about a poly!wolfstar x fem!reader where reader is feeling down because of her period but don’t wanna tell the boys bc she’s embarrassed. But she ends up acting all sad and the boys are really worried, thinking they did something wrong, and when they finally find out the truth they try to comfort her? A little angst with fluff ending, lots of cuddles. Only if you feel comfortable writing it, of course!
I love your writing, btw
Thanks for requesting lovely!

“She’s moping,” Sirius whispers, arms crossed and dark brows bunched. He’s leaning back against the counter, having followed Remus into the kitchen to ‘help make the popcorn’. Two fingers tap restlessly on his bicep.
Remus watches the movement, pensive. “She might’ve just had a rough day,” he says back. The sound of popcorn in the microwave works to cover his voice. “I think she’d tell us if we’d done something to upset her.”
He gets where Sirius is coming from. You’ve seemed a tad dimmer than usual, mumbly and perhaps a bit tired. But Sirius is quick to worry, and he has a nose for tension that occasionally sniffs it out when it’s not really there.
“She might not.” Sirius is doing that thing where he looks and sounds angry when really he’s worried. Remus leans over to kiss his hair.
“She’s better than us,” he reassures him, taking the popcorn from the microwave and leading the way back into the living room.
You’re huddled up in one corner of the couch, blanket pulled tight around you and eyes looking to nowhere. You perk up a little when Remus shakes some of the popcorn into a bowl and sets it in your lap.
“Thanks,” you say.
“Course. Did you pick a film?”
“I started to, but…” You shrug, passing the remote to Sirius as he sits down next to you. “You guys can pick, I don’t really care what we watch.”
Sirius sends Remus a look. See? Remus frowns. He’s still not convinced you’re upset with them, specifically, but your upset in general is hard to deny.
It’s unsettling to have you glum like this. He and Sirius have always been prone to their moods, but you’re…not, so much. It’s not that you never have a bad day, of course, they try to give you the environment to feel whatever you like. They’ve just not seen you like this before, obviously upset but seemingly with no cause.
Sirius picks one of your favorite films anyway. The intro credits start, and ordinarily, this would be the part where you lean onto your other side and cozy up to him, but you don’t. You stay curled up in your corner, eyes at half-mast and pretty face impassive.
The sweet bit of skin between Sirius’ brows is marred by a dent.
Remus is sitting in the armchair adjacent to your side of the couch. He reaches across the space for your hand. With so overt a request, you give it to him, looking a touch bemused. He holds your gaze, sweeping his thumb over your knuckles.
“Are you alright?”
You blink. “Me?” When Remus doesn’t look away, you shrink slightly, shoulders pulling up towards your ears. “I’m fine, yeah. Are you?”
“Oh, how crafty,” Sirius drawls. “Redirect the question, we’ll never see through that.”
You smile cautiously. “Way to make me asking my boyfriend how he is seem nefarious.”
Sirius’ answering grin is sharp, but Remus can see the anxiety beneath it. “You’re not as subtle as you think, babe. Why don’t you tell us what’s got you so twisted up, huh?”
Just like that, you shut down again. You pull your hand from Remus’, fixing your eyes on the TV. “I’m not twisted up,” you say.
“Dovey,” Remus says softly. When you look at him, your expression is controlled but your gaze is tentative. “Have we done something to upset you?”
“What?” A line forms between your brows, a companion for Sirius’. “No, you’ve—you’re perfect.”
“Well, I like to think so,” Sirius agrees breezily, “but you’re obviously not happy with us. It’d help if you’d just say what it is, so apologies and amends can commence. Unless it’s that I left the toilet paper roll empty again, in which case I can only say that you knew what you were getting into when you moved in.”
His feeble attempt at levity doesn’t make much of a dent in your creased expression, though you do tilt up one side of your mouth as though to commend him for his effort.
“I’m not upset with either of you,” you say slowly. Your tone carries a hue of resignation. “I promise, if I was mad I would say.”
Now it’s Remus’ turn to look at Sirius. See? But Sirius looks even more troubled, as though he can’t fathom what could be wrong in your life if it’s not him.
“You are upset, though,” Remus says softly. “What’s wrong?”
You sigh, the sound heavy with that unidentified melancholy, and Sirius seems to feel secure enough now to drop a kiss on your shoulder. “Nothing’s wrong,” you reply, defeated. “I’m just in a mood because of my period, sorry. I don’t mean to be a bother.”
Remus coos, reaching across the gap again to pet your baby hairs.
Sirius leans into your side. “You?” he asks, kissing your shoulder again. “Never. Why didn’t you say, lovebug?”
You shrug. You seem to be slumping deeper into the couch with every affectionate touch, your body relaxing. “It’s a bit embarrassing. I don’t want to be acting all sad just because my hormones are going funny.”
“You’re not just acting sad if you are actually sad,” Remus points out. “Is your stomach hurting you?”
“Not really.” You shift your weight so you’re leaning into Sirius, too. He looks about as happy as he can be when someone he loves is hurting, bottom lip pushed out as he rubs your shoulder and smooshes his cheek into the top of your head. “Just sad.”
“D’you wanna watch something happy, sweetheart?” Sirius asks, voice dripping with a syrupy sweetness. “Or something sad, to cry it out?”
You shrug again. “Maybe just a little sad? Like The Perks of Being a Wallflower.”
“That’s only a little sad to you? Shit, baby, you’re tough as nails.”

“Pads!” Remus shouts across the ice. “Focus!”
Sirius’ cheeks pinken slightly as he tears his stare away from the Russian soloist practicing her quads. You laugh and say something to him that makes him pinch your waist meanly, as if you’ve been acting any better.
You and Sirius are completely starstruck. Remus wants to be irritated at your distractibility, but it’s sort of adorable. You nearly fall on your bum watching the Austrian team run drills, Sirius is too busy eye-flirting with a Swedish skater to remember he’s supposed to be going into a turn, and you both stop your routine entirely when the Canadian duo steps out onto the ice.
You and Sirius draw plenty of stares yourselves, though naturally only Sirius appears to notice. He shoots a wink at a skater admiring him and a glare at another looking too closely at you, his hand possessively on your lower back anytime you’re not running your routine.
Altogether it means you have to spend a couple of extra hours learning to work through this specific brand of stage fright and running your drills again after you all get your heads turned multiple times, but Remus lets it slide. He remembers being just as dazzled during his first Olympics, seventeen years old and feeling like he’d somehow snuck into the hall of fame, an imposter among legends.
Part of him hopes that the embarrassment of having to do a half-ass death spiral in front of so many professionals will make Sirius finally go all the way, but no such luck. He keeps you firmly above where you ought to be, expression impassive even as Remus can see you pleading with him with your eyes. Still, the rest of the routine goes well, and Remus tries not to let it get under his skin. He hopes you’re right and Sirius really will pull through in the final hour; your faith in your partner is absolute, and Remus finds it easy to put his faith in you.
He lets you loose to spend the afternoon as you’d like, but it comes as no surprise when he sees you both on the ice again. Remus knows you’ve likely got plenty of nerves to work off. It’s one thing to compete in your home country, another entirely to represent your home country while competing amongst the best figure skaters in the world. He calls you off the ice before one of you can overexert yourselves and pull something. Sirius swears up and down that his ankle hasn’t bothered him since the day after he hurt it, and Remus hasn’t seen anything to make him suspect differently, but he knows better than to take risks with a healing injury. You spend the rest of the afternoon playing cards and gambling for candies in Sirius’ room.
Eventually you disperse to go to bed. Remus’ hip has been bothering him since the flight the previous day, so he goes on a walk to stretch it out. It’s odd, he thinks, how easy things have come to feel between the three of you. When he first arrived, Remus had every intention of setting up strict professional boundaries, of knowing you only as your coach and seeing you only during practice times. And then you started practicing together, and it seemed like his boundaries wouldn’t even be necessary. Sirius hated him, and besides that the two of you existed in a bubble no one could penetrate, intimate and trusting only each other. Now, after learning about what your former coach did to you, Remus understands why that was necessary. You were protecting each other, safeguarding your partnership and your careers. It would have made sense for you to keep Remus at more than an arm’s length, taking his coaching with grains of salt and keeping him well away from your private lives.
But then there have been days like today. Still bickering with Sirius, still watching the two of you interact with a familiarity only years of history can grant, but feeling warm and welcome despite it all. It feels easy, to tease Sirius and let him snipe back. To let you lean your shoulder into his and not move away. It feels good.
Remus’ hip is feeling fairly good too by the time he gets back, sore from the exercise but not so stiff. As he makes his way to his room, passing Sirius’ and then yours on the way, he sees light sneaking through the crack underneath your door.
He frowns. It’s late, and you’re meant to practice again early tomorrow morning, your last day of practice before you compete. You should be well rested. As he approaches your door, he hears sound coming from inside. Low, crackling voices, and a song that tugs at the fringes of his memory. Then a sound he knows too well, the shushing of skates on ice.
Remus knocks. The door is thin enough that he hears your little gasp and a quiet snap, and when you say “come in,” it sounds like a question.
He suppresses a smile, opening your door cautiously in case you didn’t really mean it.
You’re sitting on your bed, one hand atop your shut laptop. “Hi.”
“Hi,” he says, leaning against the doorway. “It’s late.”
“I know.” You look almost shy. Between that and the pajamas you have on, plaid little shorts and a bulky sweatshirt, Remus has the urge to pinch your chin between his fingers. “Sorry, I was just watching some, um…”
“Figure skating videos.” Your lips part, and he says, “I could hear them from outside.”
“Oh.” You laugh. It’s a nice sound, one Remus can happily say he’s come to know well, but this one is woven through with nerves. “That’s embarrassing.”
“Why is it embarrassing?” he asks honestly. “It’s normal to want to study your competition. And they’re fun, I still watch them all of the time.”
“It’s not…” You give him a tentative look, then scoot over on your bed. “Do you want to see?”
Remus can’t imagine you’re watching anything he hasn’t seen a million times, but he is curious which are your favorites. He’s careful to sit on top of your covers, a few inches between your leg and his. The bed doesn’t allow for anything more.
“Fuck, did they really have to go back to making them out of cardboard?”
That gets another nervous laugh out of you as you open your laptop screen, playing the video. And Remus knows then where he’s heard the music before. It’s his music. You’re watching his old routine, a niche one from a small competition back in Wales. Remus was fourteen when this was filmed.
He glances at you, and you’re watching the video with your bottom lip trapped between your teeth, the colors of the screen dancing across your eyes.
“I’ve always admired how tight your form was,” you say. “You were so young, but it was obvious you were putting the work in.”
“I practiced a lot,” Remus agrees. “Too much, really.”
The nostalgia he feels for figure skating is bittersweet when he watches videos like this. He remembers spending all his time in the rink, every hour he wasn’t in school or at home, nothing spared for friends or hobbies. He did love it, but in loving it he forgot to build a life outside of it. Life was constant motion, training and competitions and awards whirling around him like the rink during a spin; by the time he had his accident anyone that might have been his friend had their own friends, and Remus realized he may have been lonely for years.
“I’m really glad you agreed to coach us.” You’re still watching the video, young Remus doing a camel spin. “You’ve made us a lot better, both of us. I know Sirius is going to end up fixing the spiral, and I’m going to try my best, and…I really hope we can make you proud.”
“You will,” Remus says, instead of you already do. It feels wrong to take any credit for how incredible you are, either one of you, but that is what he feels when he sees you out on the ice. Proud. He looks at you carefully. “You’ve seemed wound pretty tightly lately.”
Your eyes drop, no longer looking at young Remus but not at the older one either.
“It’s alright to be nervous,” he says gently, “so long as you know that you deserve to be here. You’re going to do great.”
You rub your lips together. “Were you nervous during your Olympics? Is it okay for you to talk about?”
“Yeah,” Remus says, a bit surprised, “it’s fine. I was nervous. I was…” he chuckles “I was freaking out, honestly. But when I got out there, it was really just like any rink. The music and the routine were the same, so I just let myself get lost in it. I almost forgot where I was until it was over, and people were waving flags at me and all that from the stands.” He feels his lips curve with the memory. Bumps your shoulder lightly with his. “It’s not so bad. Anyway, I think it’s got to be better to go through it with someone else. I was on my own, but you’ll have Sirius with you.”
You give him a little sideways smile. “And you, right?”
A fond warmth blooms in Remus’ chest. “And me.”
“Has it been difficult for you to coach us?” you ask him tentatively. “I mean, to come back?”
Remus takes a deep breath. “Yeah,” he says after a minute. “At first, it really was. I’m not proud of it, and I don’t think I really knew it at the time, but I was jealous of both of you. Anytime you did something differently than I would have, I got so frustrated that you were throwing away these opportunities I would kill to have again. It was easy to look at either one of you and wish I was in your place.”
You’re nodding, not a trace of hurt or offense in your expression. You look at him like you understand.
“But that stopped a long time ago,” he says. “After I worked with you for longer, it became clear you’re both very different skaters than I was.” You huff a laugh, and Remus nudges your shoulder admonishingly. “That’s not necessarily a bad thing. I think early on I wasn’t a very good coach to you because I couldn’t see your individual strengths. But now I think I can, and it’s really a privilege to watch you skate together. It’s lovely. And I’ve loved getting to know you and Sirius, too. So, yeah, it was difficult at first, but I’m really glad I came on. And I’m glad you were patient enough to let me stay.”
That got a bit more earnest than he intended. Remus feels heat rise to his face, but you’re still nodding, thoughtful, like you’re trying to wrap your head around it. He sees you rub your lips together again.
“I really want to do well,” you say softly, “but I’m not the skater Sirius is. I don’t have his natural talent, and I don’t flourish under pressure the way he does. I—that’s usually when I mess up.” Remus’ chest aches at the vulnerability in your voice, his hand moving unconsciously to cover yours on the bed. Some of the tension goes out of you at the touch. “I’ve tried my whole life to keep up with him, but I’m never quite there, and you guys, you’ve both been these incredible, talented skaters…” Your eyes meet his, timid and ashamed. “I’m afraid I’m going to let you both down.”
“Are you kidding?” You drop your gaze, and a surprised little laugh trips off Remus’ tongue as he ducks his head to follow, holding your hand more securely. “I’m sorry, that was rash, but really. How can you think that? You’re one of the most talented skaters I’ve ever seen.”
You’re still avoiding his gaze. He takes your chin in his hand, gentle, an encouragement more than anything, but you let him turn you towards him.
“I don’t care how much of it comes from natural aptitude,” he says firmly. “You’re an incredible skater. Even when I didn’t know you at all, it was obvious that you care about this more than Sirius or I likely ever have. That’s important. You can see it in how hard you train, and in how you move on the ice.” Remus shakes his head, expelling a breath. “It’s mesmerizing. You’re beautiful to watch.”
You’re not shying away from him now, but Remus doesn’t let go of you. Your expression is wide open, diffident but curious. He goes on.
“The way you skate, it’s not just about the motions or the art of it, it’s joyous. Anyone can see how happy you are out there. That’s what makes you so good. You really love it.”
“You did, too,” you murmur.
His voice softens in kind. “I did. But not the way you do.”
Your eyes lower, but this time he allows you it. Remus is suddenly acutely aware of your leg where it's pressed up against his, of his own heartbeat. He’s still holding your hand.
You wet your lips. “Do you really mean all that?”
“Why would I give you a whole speech I didn’t believe?”
You crack a smile. “Some coaches call it a pep talk.”
“You’re beautiful to watch,” he says again, voice dropping to a murmur as he realizes you’re staring at his lips. He breathes in, and the distance between you lessens. “You’re beautiful.”
Remus knows he’s judged you rightly when your hand comes around his waist, pressing into the softness of his jumper to glean an impression of the skin underneath. You kiss like you skate, with a sweet eagerness, ready to explore and wanting to learn. Your lips part, inspiring a similar parting in Remus, and you let out a breath with a soft humming sound.
Remus' nerves are alight underneath your hand on his side. He angles his torso to get you closer, free hand coasting up your thigh. Your fingers bunch in his jumper, kisses picking up heat as he lets his hand settle at the small of your back, an echo of how Sirius touched you this morning when—
Sirius.
Remus draws away from you so suddenly he hears you gasp. He still has your face in his hand, can feel the flustered warmth of it before he removes that too, putting distance between you.
“Sorry.” His voice is hoarse. Guilt burns in the back of his throat. “Sorry, it’s not you. I just, I—”
Sirius. Sirius. Sirius.
“I didn’t think that through.” He can feel his heartbeat in his mouth. Sirius is in love with you. Remus is only just starting to feel like a part of your team, but this could send you all back in time. Kissing one of his skaters, who the other is in love with? His stomach hurts. “I’m your coach, and you—we have a big competition coming up. I shouldn’t have done that.”
He edges off your bed, looking at you while he does. Your lips are still parted, eyes wide.
“It was a really shit idea,” he says, “and I’m so sorry. It’s my fault.”
You rub your lips together. Remus feels it like you’re still moving them against his own. “It’s fine,” you say on a breath. “We can forget it.”
“I’m so sorry,” he says again.
“It’s okay.” You’re shaking your head, and he’s backing away, both of you like deer caught in headlights. “You’re right, it was silly. We’re professionals, we can get past it.”
Remus feels himself nodding, feels the handle of your door in his hand.
“Practice in the morning?” you ask weakly.
He pushes out a breath as he opens the door. “Yeah. Six thirty.”

Hi Mae! I hope your week has started off well! I have a request if you don’t mind. Friday I have to go to the hospital early and spend most of the day there getting a bunch of testing done because I keep having these weird episodes and we don’t know what’s going on and I’m verrrrryyy nervous about it. So anyway I was thinking poly!wolfstar (or any of them) accompanying reader and comforting reader to the hospital/during/after. Maybe reader wants to cancel it all (because I kind of do) and they gently but firmly make her stick to it.
Hope your appointment went well lovely!
cw: mention of hospitals, general anxiety around that

This time of year, the kitchen is dark before dinnertime. Remus has turned on the light above the stove, but neither you nor Sirius move to flick on any others, leaving your home mostly in shadow and dim, amber glow. Sirius is illuminated by his laptop on the couch while you sit on a stool watching Remus cook. The low rumbling of his boiling water is the only sound. It’s a tranquil sort of quiet. You’re reading all the tension into it, probably.
Sirius certainly thinks so. He sneaks up behind you, arms winding around your middle and fingers prodding playfully at your sides. “Baby. Relax.”
“I’m relaxed.”
“Sure you are.”
“I am.”
Remus looks up from the stove to give you a look that isn’t quite chiding. Fond, perhaps. Knowing, definitely. “Dove, you’re rattling your stool.”
You hear it then, and still the bouncing of your knee with some effort.
He smiles, at once wry and kind. “It’s okay to be nervous,” he says.
Sirius makes a dubious humming noise. “I don’t know about that.” His face finds its way into the crook of your neck, meandering, his nose cool against your skin. “I think our girl should only have nice, blissful thoughts, and leave the nervousness for when it’s due. No sense in getting all worked up early.”
“Pads.” Remus’ tone is love-weary. “She’s allowed to be nervous.”
Your boyfriends make light of it, but this is one stark difference between them. Sirius and Remus have both known intense discomfort—to put it lightly—over their lives, and yet they react to witnessing it differently. Sirius can’t stand to think of anyone he cares for being less than perfectly happy; it makes him twitchy and near frantic. Remus doesn't like it either, of course, but he understands better than most that some things simply need to be borne. Rather than avoiding it, he offers a quiet, steady support.
Sirius, you think, is likely as nervous for your hospital visit as you are. It’s why he doesn’t want to talk about it.
“I could still cancel,” you say, softly enough that maybe you’re hoping not to be heard.
Both of your boyfriends seem not to have considered this possibility. Remus looks at you, brow tensing, and Sirius’ face stills on your shoulder.
Your voice smalls. “They said I could do it up until twelve hours before.”
“Sweetheart.” Sirius squeezes your middle, gently. “Don’t do that.”
“Why not?”
“Well, because then you’ll only have to be nervous all over again when you do go.”
“But what if I…” You find yourself sinking into his touch, letting him hold you up despite the fact that you’re sitting and he’s not. “...don’t?”
“You’ll have to go at some point.”
“I don’t have to.”
“You should, though.” Remus’ eyes capture yours, calm and dark brown in the low light. His expression is melded by sympathy and entirely too reasonable for your liking. “You can go on the way you have been, that’s your choice, but we know you’ve not been liking that.”
“I’ve not been very fond of it either,” Sirius mumbles.
“This is something you can do for a chance at getting better,” Remus goes on gently. “Nothing is going to change if you don’t.”
You take a long inhale. When you let it out, Sirius kisses your shoulder like a reward.
“I really don’t want to,” you say.
“I know, lovely.” Remus steps closer, reaching for your hand. You don’t realize until you give it to him that you’d been picking at your nailbeds. He pulls your fingers apart from each other with methodical caring. “It’s only one day. We’ll be there with you.”
You press your lips together solemnly. “I’m going to need a lot of hugs, I think.”
“Oh, god,” Sirius moans, arms still firmly around your waist. “What ever will we do?”
“You really do dole out the most unfair burdens, dove.” Remus goes from doting to dry in an instant, amusement flickering in his gaze.
“I mean, how are we expected to cope? I don’t know if I can handle all these demands, sweetness, I really don’t. You’ve made tomorrow a true hardship for us.”
“You’re the ones who want me to go.” You shrug. “Figure it out.”
“I suppose we’ll have to, won’t we?” Sirius gives you another squeeze, firmer this time to coax a smile from you. “Alright, then. Needs must. You worry about your portion, and we’ll worry about ours.”

cw: allusion to chronic pain
poly!wolfstar x fem!reader ♡ 627 words
“Hello,” Sirius says when the front door shushes open. He starts to fold over the page of his magazine. He hardly catches a bit of motion from the corner of his eye before you’re flopping down on top of him, forcing a soft oof from his sternum. “Oh, hello. Everything okay?”
You make a tortured groaning sound, forehead pushing into his neck.
“You’re alright, sweetheart.” Remus passes a loving hand over Sirius’ head in greeting, en route to the kitchen. “I’ll get your ice.”
“Aw,” Sirius tuts, letting his magazine lay tented over your back. He palms the back of your head gently. “Hard first day back at work?”
“It feels like it hurts worse,” you mumble into the space below his throat. The tip of your nose is cool where it presses to his skin. “I’m so tired.”
“Oh, I know, baby.” Sirius kisses the top of your head. “It’s not very fair, is it?”
“Pain is tiring,” Remus agrees. He passes Sirius an ice pack to settle against your cheek, holding onto another while he leans on the back of the couch. “It’ll get better over the next few days. Tomorrow should be easier.”
“I can’t think about tomorrow.” Your voice is softer, lips barely moving as Sirius holds the ice to your jaw. You shift your face from his neck, turning your eyes up to his. “Keep me here forever?”
Sirius feels his mouth spread in a grin. “You know I will, gorgeous. And I’ll do you one better, lift your head and I’ll put two ice packs on your cheeks.”
You pick your head up as directed. Remus passes Sirius the other ice pack, and he sandwiches your face between the two with a smile. Your poor cheeks are swollen and bruised, but Sirius thinks you look lovely despite it, even pouting the way you are. You look between your boyfriends as though waiting for them to do something about it.
Remus breaks first. “Oh, my love.” He gives a pitying laugh, folding over the back of the couch to hug your shoulders. “I’m sorry. The pain won’t last much longer, though. Just give yourself some time to heal.”
“Count yourself lucky you had wisdom to take,” Sirius says. “I didn’t have anything they wanted at all.”
“I’m so tired of this,” you sigh, leaning into Remus. “Sorry, I know it’s only been a couple of days, just. It’s just constant, you know?”
Remus hums. He knows better than most, better than Sirius for sure. Sirius feels overcome by a fond protectiveness for you both.
He touches a pinkie to Remus’ forearm where it’s wrapped around your clavicle. “Alright, that’s enough,” he says, rubbing. “It’s cruel and unjust to have either of you ever work again. I won’t entertain it.”
“Oh, you’re going to be our sole breadwinner now?” Remus asks, smiling.
“Quite right. I’ll need the two of you to carry your weight in homemaking, of course, but I’ll manage the rest.”
“And you reckon your income can cover our portions of the rent and groceries and all that?”
“Don’t worry your pretty head over it, darling. It’s well in hand.”
“Let me lie about for the rest of the week,” you sigh. “Then I’ll go back to work and you can stay here, Rem.”
Remus turns his smile into the top of your head, nose denting into your hair. “Yeah? You sure?”
“M’sure.” You shut your eyes. Sirius grins at Remus, thinking that he has about thirty seconds to change positions before you fall asleep and he has to hold you this way all night. “Just need a few days.”
But Remus will indulge you in anything; he stays perfectly still. “Sure, sweetheart,” he murmurs, kissing your head. “Whatever you need.”
