Rewatched Eddie Begins yesterday and at the start his mom is talking about how Ramon was out of town for each of the kids, and how Adriana had been an emergency C-section. In the retirement party episode the story about little Eddie crashing the truck when his mom went into labor was also Adriana. So Eddie was alone and scared and his mom was in emergency surgery and when his dad finally showed up he needed comfort and got yelled at instead.....

#and like maybe this is insight as to why ramon was upset the truck. he was Actually upset about his wife and that emotion boiled over and #hit the nearest target #which is a thing that happens we're all only human your parents are human too #but damn. poor eddie #:(#and like thats a fascinating formative trauma for him i bet it subconsciously informed his decision to flee when Shannon got pregnant #and again when their child needed medical attention #the safety line as hes lowered into the well is an umbilical cord i get it i get it #cutting the cord for chris cutting the line #its all this it's all about this its fatherhood all the way down #............................... so it is very interesting that we know he immediately makes buck legally a father after this #eddie diaz #man that you are

I think more Durges should have disabilities for the sole reason that there is no way Bhaal managed to create a fully functioning person when driven by hubris and sculpting them out of his own flesh. ESPECIALLY if it is a race more complicated than a human/human adjacent one. Look me in the eye and tell me Bhaal knew how to create a dragonborn with functioning organs out of his own (I assume limited) supply of flesh.

i love disabled access spaces where it's blindingly obvious NO disabled people were consulted in the design

#i live in the UK and have a radar key (special key you get from the doctor that allows you to open any disabled bathroom in a public space)#and the disabled bathroom at my local train station has been closed for months for refurbishment #(which has lead to many panic scenarios for me as someone with bladder issues but i digress)#it's finally reopened and it had a new feature #this voice narrates from the speaker that 'if you fall and can't read the panic cord ...#...simply SCREAM and the emergency services will be called from the intercom near the bathroom door.'#cool feature. whatever.#until i go to dry my hands with the air-blowing hand dryer...#AND IT CALLS THE FUCKING EMERGENCY SERVICES BECAUSE IT WAS SO LOUD #and i had to politely explain to the poor operator on the end of the intercom that i'm fine and was just trying to dry my hands #which means the ambulance will be called EVERY TIME SOMEONE DRIES THEIR HANDS.#WHO DESIGNED THIS. BECAUSE IT WASN'T A DISABLED PERSON.#this bathroom had three panic cords and two panic buttons - who the fuck asked for the scream feature ??????

Shoutout to my neighbor across the street (professional contractor and regular at my place of work: hardware store) watching me jerry-rig the most bullshit half-ass way to hang orange Halloween lights (I work at a hardware store) because I don't want to buy nails or hooks (I WORK AT A HARDWARE STORE)
