The thing about Kim Dokja is that his 'salaryman normal guy' appearance is just as much a false persona as 'monstorous Demon King of Salvation' or 'calm and cool leader of kimcom'.

Despite what he tells us at the beginning (and since when do we take his narration as trustworthy?), he wasn't ever just a normal, boring person, despite his best efforts. He tells us the 'genre of his life' was 'Realism', but if a life could be said to have a genre, his was definitely 'True Crime'.

It's so interesting that even pre-scenarios, he thought of the world in the terms of 'genres' and the people around him as 'characters' (like Yoo Sangah) because of course he would! Even if we discount the way he spends all his time reading and how that shapes how he sees the world, he himself has been a character in his mother's novel and 'a character' is how people see him too. He says he read that novel a thousand times to try and understand his memories until he didn't know what was true anymore. He knows the character Kim Dokja too.

And everyone knew about his past.

Everywhere he went, he was 'the son of a murderer', someone to be gawked at and whispered about.

No one has ever seen him as 'just an average guy' because Underground Killer haunted him every step of the way. Reporters. At school. Even years later at the company he and Yoo Sangah worked at, the rumours of his past had spread (Yoo Sangah was one of the few people who didn't know).

The lack of privacy and stigma that has followed him everywhere is part of why he resents his mother for writing that novel.

Pre-scenarios, he is less similar to you and me than to the families of 'famous serial killers' that get podcasts and documentaries and books written about them and who's private lives are torn apart by media. I'm not naming names, but you already know them.

James Potter as a character that has this large, boisterous ego that shows everyone he is what he is and that he is the best, the only person to ever exist to anyone, no matter what. James who knows who he is and will never change for anyone. James Potter who knows he will always be enough.

Lily Evans and Regulus Black, the only two people James Potter ever romantically loved, also being the only two people to wreck James’ self esteem so much that he questions if he will ever be enough. Lily who would not love him and Regulus who did not love him more than he feared his family. James who thinks, no matter what he does to try and prove himself to these people, he will never love them enough to make them love him the same. He will never be kind enough, or funny enough, or happy enough for them to actually see him and love him. James who still loves them anyway because even though they destroy him he still cannot not love.

James Potter as a character who was always enough but never to the people that mattered.

I haven't drawn the Narrator and Protagonist fighting in ages, but canonically they spend a lot of time doing that before it wore them both down and they decided to actually talk.

It's like... the Stanley Parable in a way, but this Narrator will throw hands.

i want to write a fic where Bruce see's Jason without his helmet and goes 'wait a minute...' checks Jason's grave and realises that Jason's body isn't there. But instead of assuming that Jason was revived, he assumes that someone stole his son's body and cloned him.

It makes total sense, why he looks so different (a clone wouldn't have any of the malnutrition that Jason suffered), why he wouldn't just come home (who knows what the clone has been taught) and why he's sneaking around (Jason Todd Bruce Wayne's Son might still be recognised).

There's only two things he doesn't understand, why pick Jason (someone who figured out he'd been Robin??) and why make Jason a killer? His son, who wanted to protect people, who said Robin made him magic, who only turned to violence when he was at his lowest point, he wouldnt kill people!

Mainly I want Jason to have Bruce gunning for him fucking feral with rage demanding to know who is desacrating his sons memory while Jason freaks out and Bruce to have a fucking breakdown about Talia not telling him.

some ramblings, but generally, animals don't like kana. maybe it's just that advanced animal sense/instinct that they have, so they don't like her vibes at all. for example, imagine tsuna getting terrorized by those dogs in his neighborhood again, if kana shows up they'll start running away asap. other times, they'll bark/growl at her if the animal is braver (but still run away in the end after one glare).

on the other hand, there's hibird. despite being such a cute bird, i do believe that it is also quite an unusual animal??? imagine having that sick bastard birds as ur master, then quickly just switching up to the hibari kyoya(tm). i would switch up so fast too if my choice is between ugly nasty oji-san vs strong & dashing ikemen i do think hibird is very similar to kusakabe, in the sense that they are drawn to people with some form of insane aura 😭😭😭 which is why i can see it vibing with kana too (not to mention her similar qualities with hibari), despite other animals going "NOPE" on her.
