Nourish Your Dry Skin Naturally: The Best Skin Cleansers for Hydration
Is your dry skin craving some nourishment? Look no further. In this article, we will unveil the best skin cleansers that provide hydration and natural goodness. Achieving healthy and glowing skin is not just about cleansing but using the right products that can replenish moisture and prevent dryness.
If you're seeking a skincare routine that prioritizes natural ingredients and effective hydration, you're in luck. Our carefully curated list of skin cleansers features gentle formulas that cleanse without stripping away essential oils. These products are specifically formulated to nourish dry skin, leaving it feeling refreshed, hydrated, and silky smooth.
Embrace the power of nature with these skin cleansers that seamlessly lock in moisture while cleansing away impurities. Explore the benefits of ingredients like aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, and avocado oil - all carefully selected for their hydrating and nourishing properties. Experience the joy of using cleansers that promote healthy skin, naturally.
It's time to give your dry skin the love and hydration it deserves. Dive into our recommendations and discover the best skin cleansers that will leave your skin feeling deeply moisturized and beautifully radiant.
Understanding dry skin: Causes and symptoms
Dry skin is a common condition that occurs when the skin lacks moisture and becomes dehydrated. It can be caused by a variety of factors, including environmental factors such as cold weather, low humidity, and excessive sun exposure. Additionally, certain medical conditions and medications can contribute to dry skin.
Symptoms of dry skin include roughness, tightness, flakiness, and itchiness. It can make your skin appear dull and lifeless. Dry skin can also be more prone to wrinkles and fine lines. To combat these issues and achieve healthy, hydrated skin, it's crucial to understand the importance of hydration.
Importance of hydration for dry skin
Hydration is essential for maintaining healthy skin, especially for those with dry skin. When your skin lacks moisture, it can become more susceptible to damage and premature aging. Proper hydration helps to improve the skin's barrier function, allowing it to retain moisture and protect against external irritants.
Using skin cleansers that provide hydration is the first step towards achieving nourished and radiant skin. These cleansers not only cleanse the skin but also replenish moisture, leaving your skin feeling supple and hydrated. They help to restore the skin's natural balance and promote a healthy complexion.
Common ingredients to look for in skin cleansers for hydration
When it comes to choosing the best skin cleansers for hydration, it's essential to look for specific ingredients that have hydrating and nourishing properties. Here are some common ingredients to keep an eye out for:
Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is a powerhouse ingredient known for its soothing and moisturizing properties. It contains vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that help to hydrate and heal dry skin. Aloe vera cleansers are gentle on the skin and provide a refreshing and cooling effect, making them perfect for dry and sensitive skin types.
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the skin that helps to retain moisture. When used in skin cleansers, it attracts and holds onto water molecules, providing intense hydration. Hyaluronic acid cleansers help to plump and moisturize the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Avocado Oil
Avocado oil is rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins A, D, and E. It deeply nourishes and moisturizes the skin, leaving it soft and smooth. Avocado oil cleansers are excellent for dry skin as they provide long-lasting hydration and help to improve the skin's elasticity.
These ingredients work synergistically to provide optimal hydration and nourishment for dry skin. When incorporated into skin cleansers, they can transform your skincare routine and give your skin the moisture it craves.
Natural skin cleansers for dry skin: Aloe vera cleanser
Aloe vera cleansers are a perfect choice for those with dry skin. They are gentle on the skin and provide a soothing and refreshing cleanse. Aloe vera contains natural moisturizing factors that help to replenish moisture and prevent dryness.
One of our top recommendations is the "Aloe Fresh Cleansing Gel." This gentle cleanser is formulated with organic aloe vera extract, which deeply hydrates and soothes dry skin. It effectively removes impurities without stripping away essential oils, leaving your skin feeling clean and nourished.
To use the Aloe Fresh Cleansing Gel, dampen your face with water, then apply a small amount of the cleanser and gently massage it into your skin. Rinse thoroughly with water and pat dry. Use it twice a day for optimal results.
Natural skin cleansers for dry skin: Coconut oil cleanser
Coconut oil is a versatile ingredient that is highly beneficial for dry skin. It is rich in fatty acids that help to hydrate and nourish the skin. Coconut oil cleansers provide deep cleansing while maintaining the skin's moisture barrier.
The "Coconut Dream Cleansing Oil" is a fantastic option for dry skin. This lightweight cleansing oil is infused with organic coconut oil and botanical extracts, which gently cleanse and hydrate the skin. It effectively removes makeup and impurities without stripping away essential oils, leaving your skin feeling soft and supple.
To use the Coconut Dream Cleansing Oil, apply a few pumps onto dry skin and massage it in circular motions. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry. Experience the tropical escape of using this coconut-infused cleanser for a deeply moisturizing and refreshing cleanse.
Natural cleanser for dry skin : Powdered Face Cleanser
Daru Haridra (Tree Turmeric): Renowned for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Calms irritated skin and helps in retaining moisture.
Mulethi (Licorice Root): Acts as a hydrating agent, preventing excessive drying of the skin. Contains antioxidants that aid in skin repair and brightening.
Anantmool (Indian Sarsaparilla): Known for its skin-soothing and healing properties. Helps maintain skin elasticity and suppleness.
Shikakai and Reetha : These natural cleansers gently remove impurities without stripping the skin of its natural oils. Shikakai adds shine and softness while Reetha acts as a natural foaming agent.
Essential Oils of Palmarosa & Juniper Berry: Palmarosa oil moisturizes and balances skin moisture levels. Juniper berry oil has antimicrobial properties and assists in skin nourishment.
DIY Natural Cleanser Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon Shikakai powder
1 tablespoon Reetha powder
1/2 tablespoon Daru Haridra powder
1/2 tablespoon Mulethi powder
1/2 tablespoon Anantmool powder
2-3 drops Palmarosa essential oil
2-3 drops Juniper Berry essential oil
Water (to make a paste)
Instructions:
Mix Shikakai, Reetha, Daru Haridra, Mulethi, and Anantmool powders in a bowl.
Add a few drops of Palmarosa and Juniper Berry essential oils to the dry mixture.
Slowly add water to create a paste-like consistency.
Gently massage the paste onto damp skin in circular motions.
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat dry.
Natural ingredients like Daru Haridra, Mulethi, Anantmool, Shikakai, Reetha, Palmarosa, and Juniper Berry offer a wealth of benefits for dry skin. Incorporating these elements into a homemade cleanser provides a gentle yet effective way to cleanse while preserving the skin's natural moisture barrier. Embrace these natural treasures and enjoy the nourishing experience they bring to your skincare routine.
Remember, patch test any new ingredient to ensure compatibility with your skin, and for those with sensitive skin, consulting a dermatologist is always recommended.
How to choose the best skin cleanser for your dry skin type
Choosing the best skin cleanser for your dry skin type requires careful consideration. Here are some tips to help you make the right choice:
1. Look for cleansers that are specifically formulated for dry skin. These cleansers usually contain ingredients that provide hydration and nourishment.
2. Avoid cleansers that contain harsh ingredients such as sulfates and alcohol, as they can further dry out your skin.
3. Consider your skin's specific needs. If you have sensitive skin, look for cleansers that are fragrance-free and gentle on the skin.
4. Read product labels and opt for cleansers that contain natural and organic ingredients. These cleansers are often free from harmful chemicals that can irritate and dry out the skin.
5. Conduct a patch test before using a new cleanser to ensure that it does not cause any adverse reactions.
By following these tips, you can choose a skin cleanser that caters to your skin's unique needs and provides the hydration it requires.
Tips for using skin cleansers for hydration effectively
To maximize the benefits of using skin cleansers for hydration, follow these tips:
1. Cleanse your face twice a day - once in the morning and once at night. This helps to remove dirt, oil, and impurities that can clog your pores and lead to dryness.
2. Use lukewarm water when cleansing your face. Hot water can strip away the skin's natural oils, exacerbating dryness.
3. Avoid over-cleansing. Cleansing too frequently or vigorously can disrupt the skin's moisture barrier and cause dryness. Stick to a gentle and balanced cleansing routine.
4. After cleansing, immediately follow up with a hydrating moisturizer or serum. This helps to lock in moisture and keep your skin hydrated throughout the day.
5. Exfoliate once or twice a week to remove dead skin cells and allow better absorption of moisturizing ingredients.
By incorporating these tips into your skincare routine, you can ensure that your skin stays hydrated and nourished.
DIY recipes for homemade skin cleansers for dry skin
If you prefer to create your own skin cleansers, here are two simple DIY recipes using natural ingredients that are perfect for dry skin:
Recipe 1: Aloe Vera and Cucumber Cleanser
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel
- 1/4 cup of chopped cucumber
- 1 teaspoon of almond oil
Instructions:
1. Blend the aloe vera gel and chopped cucumber in a blender until smooth.
2. Add the almond oil and blend again until well combined.
3. Transfer the mixture to a clean container.
4. To use, apply a small amount onto damp skin and massage gently. Rinse thoroughly with water and pat dry.
Recipe 2: Honey and Yogurt Cleanser
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of raw honey
- 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt
- 1 teaspoon of olive oil
Instructions:
1. In a small bowl, mix the raw honey, plain yogurt, and olive oil until well combined.
2. Apply the mixture onto damp skin and massage gently.
3. Leave it on for a few minutes to allow the ingredients to penetrate the skin.
4. Rinse thoroughly with water and pat dry.
These DIY cleansers are easy to make and provide natural hydration for your dry skin. Experiment with different ingredients to find the combination that works best for you.
Conclusion: Achieving hydrated and nourished skin naturally

Remember to choose cleansers that are specifically formulated for dry skin and avoid harsh ingredients that can further dry out your skin. Follow a consistent skincare routine, cleanse your face twice a day, and always moisturize after cleansing to lock in hydration.

Crumbl Cookies Actual Chocolate Chip Recipe from a former employee who is no longer bound by their NDA:
to make approximately 35 cookies (or 140 minis!):
ingredients:
2 pounds of SALTED butter
1 pound of white sugar
1.5 pounds of brown sugar
8 whole eggs
4 pounds of flour
*half an ingredient pack* Crumbl has an ingredient packet that goes into their cookies to make sure that no one but corporate officially knows their recipes. however based on what is missing from a standard chocolate chip cookie recipe and what happens to the cookies if you forget the packet I have come up with this solution
5 tablespoons baking soda
5 tablespoons baking powder
2.75 pounds milk chocolate chips *** Crumbl originally used Ghirardelli but switched to their own brand in the summer of 2021.
Instructions:
preheat your oven to 290 degrees F or 143 C
soften your butters in your microwave, this step is crucial. you want them NOT at all melted, but soft enough to mold with your hands easily
put your butters and sugars into a large bowl, it’s easiest if this is a stand mixer, but if not an electric hand mixer is fine. you *may* attempt this by hand but i would recommend you don’t.
if you have levels choose your most medium level and beat your butter and sugar for 10 minutes. seriously. and it’s probably not done. scrape the sides, if there is any resistance it’s not done. the texture you’re going for is like passing your spatula through a cloud. you should feel no resistance, the mixture will be light, fluffy and if you feel it between your fingers it will be silky with *slight* sugary texture. imagine applying it to your face, it’s a daily cleanser not a weekly exfoliant.
when you’re pretty sure you got it to the right texture go for 1 more minute just to be safe.
now that’s over with turn your mixer down to 1, and add half of your eggs. let them mostly incorporate. all yolks should be broken and you should only see slight streaks of yellow. then add your second half of the eggs and look for the same consistency.
scrape the bottom of the bowl to make sure no yolks are hiding down there!
now add your flour all once! yup! mix it on low *just* until you see a dough start to form. There should still be plenty of unincorporated flour!!!
then add your chocolate chips.
mix until you have a smooth and consistent mixture.
crumbl cookies weighs each chocolate chip cookie at 5.5 ounces.
my best approximation is that you’ll be making about 35 cookies so go for that if you don’t have a scale.
the shape of the crumbl cookie can be achieved by making a large ball of dough then tearing off the top to leave a ripped top. those cracks and spikes are part of the signature. so you can skip this step if you just want a good cookie recipe.
*if you want to make the minis like Crumbl does for catering the weight is 1.3 ounces and the bake time is 10 minutes*
place on a parchment lined baking sheet leaving 2 inches between each cookie and the edges of the baking sheet. You can fit 9 on a standard cookie sheet.
bake your cookies for 16 minutes, rotating the pan 11 minutes in! (Crumbl has ovens the rotate while baking constantly so this will help even cooking times)
*important* i know the temptation to eat the cookies directly out of the oven is great. BUT. the cookies actually are not done baking fresh out of the oven! they bake outside of the oven in their own heat for 5 minutes while they cool! so wait at least 5 minutes or 10 if you have self control!
enjoy!!!

Hair:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hair Care ❤︎︎
Wash Routines:
curly textured: wash and condition every 2-3 weeks, deep condition every 1-2 weeks
straight: wash and condition every 2-3 days, deep condition every 2-3 weeks
Styling ︎❤︎︎
Hair should have a style everyday! At home hairstyling is limitless and really depends on your taste and lifestyle. The everyday woman does her own her once every 1-4 weeks using natural hair products, heat, or other tools.
Professional Stylists:
hair is styled every 1-3 months: uses heat to straighten or curl, extensions to lengthen and add volume, shears to maintain/attain a shape and length
trim ends: every 6-8 weeks
hair color: touched up roughly every 6-8 weeks (depending on how fast your hair is growing and how fast your color will fade)
Silk Press:
after a clarifying wash and deep conditioning, natural hair is straightened using flat iron and/or pressing comb, then usually curled in feathers or pin curls to preserve the style
lasts 3-4 weeks depending on maintenance
preserved by wrapping hair at night, keep hands out of hair, and using a wide toothed comb only
can be further styled with different kind of rollers, or with pin curls
Braids:
afrocentric hairstyles typically done to protect hair while maintaining beauty
lasts 3-8 weeks
styles include knotless braids, faux locs, stitch braids, french braids, etc
Extensions:
hair added to natural hair to enhance length or volume
can be done at home with patience and proper materials
sew-in extensions: (my personal fav) 1-2 months
your natural hair gets braided down flush to your scalp and the bundles are sewn on by the wefts in a flat pattern typically with a section of hair left out to cover the wefts $100-600
microlinks: up to 4 months
i-tip extension is added to hair using micropliers, clippers and loop tool. takes far longer than most extension methods but looks the absolute most natural $500-1000
tape-in extensions: up to a year, touch ups every 4-6 weeks
medical grade tape is used to attach extensions to small sections of hair $200-400
clip-in extensions: 3-6 months
extensions are clipped on by the wefts. the hair itself can last up to six months, but it’s not recommended to sleep, shower, or swim with the extensions in $50-100
Natural Styles:
all last roughly 1-2 weeks at most. allowing hair to completely DRY is crucial for these styles. your natural hair can be further changed in styles like buns, puffs, etc once dry
natural hair essentials: scalp oil, leave in conditioner, detangling brush, wide tooth comb, curling cream, styling gel, edge control and edge brush
wash n’ go
wash and detangle, then use leave in conditioner to keep hair moist. oil on the scalp and ends is recommended for growth and healthy ends
bantu knots
a traditionally african style where the hair is cleanly sectioned (usually parted in a cute pattern) and twisted into knots. style can be worn just like this or taken down for curls
braid/twist out
a specific pattern of curls is achieved after hair is twisted or braided with curl preserving products. end result depends on how big your twists or braids are
roller set
hair is sprayed with water and curl cream applied before roller of your choice is added. hair is left to dry usually overnight for springy well formed curls
Brows and Lashes:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Brow Shaping ❤︎︎
in salon or at home
Waxing - every 3 weeks
Threading- every 2-3 weeks
Razor Shaping - weekly
Brow Enhancement ❤︎︎
Tinting - monthly
can be done at home or by pro in the salon
Microblading - every 1-3 years + annual touch ups, exclusively professional work
cosmetic tattooing using a manual tool with nearly invisible hair-like needles to inject pigment in brows to create your desired brow look
Lash Enhancements ❤︎︎
*done exclusively by professionals
Lifts - every 6 weeks
basically a perm for your lashes to curl them semi-permanently for lashes to appear longer
Lash Extensions - new set every 6-8 weeks, fill ins every 2-3 weeks depending on quality and style
false individual strands of lashes glued to natural lashes to create semi-permanent length and/or volume
lash baths: wet lashes and apply a small amount of gentle cleanser or a “lash bath” to lashes. cleanse lashes and eyelids for about 10 seconds. hold a towel under your eye and use a nozzle bottle to flush soap and bacteria from lashes then dry with a disposable lint free towel. finish by brushing your lashes with a spoolie. daily.
Lash Styles:
Classic: one lash on each fan, thin lashes
Volume: fluffier lashes with more lashes on each fan
Hybrid: uses classic and volume lashes to make an alternated look
Russian: volume lashes made with very thin individuals, 5-6 extensions per natural lash, fanned out look
DIY Lash Extensions - lasts about a week (sometimes longer)
lash fragments or individual wisps are glued either under the lashes or on the lash line. KISS Falscara is a product that makes this concept simple and easy
Nails:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
all these services can be done at home with the proper materials and KNOWLEDGE
Classic Manicure ❤︎︎
every 1-2 weeks
nail service that consists of soaking hands in warm soapy water then drying them. nails are trimmed, filed, and buffed. cuticles are pushed back before applying nail polish (base coat, color, top coat), then finally cuticle oil is applied.
nails can be enhanced with rhinestones, glitter, or charms and attached with uv gel or nail glue
my fav styles are pink, cream, white, black and any french tip using those colors
Pedicure ❤︎︎
every 2-4 weeks
sister to the classic manicure, but can be upgraded depending on materials. steps are similar to manicure, except feet are scrubbed and exfoliated before feet are washed and dried to apply nail color
regular polish, acrylic, or gel can be used on toenails
Gel or Shellac Mani ❤︎︎
every 2-3 weeks
same process as the classic manicure, but traditional nail polish is replaced with uv base coat, gel or CND Shellac polish, then uv top coat that’s cured in a UV or LED lamp
longer lasting and more strong/3d than classic mani and is typically removed by soaking in acetone
Apres Gel-X Nails ❤︎︎
every 2-3 weeks
my personal fav at home nails using the artme yoko matsuda nails. after doing a classic mani sans polish, you apply a dehydrator and primer to prep nail for gel. then you apply builder gel to your natural nail and cure. then you apply that same builder to the nail extension after etching it using an electric drill or acetone. marry the gel to your nail and cure. then just shape to your liking and top with uv top coat. tutorial here
Acrylic Nails ❤︎︎
every 2-3 weeks, nails are fully grown out after 6 weeks
manicure done with liquid monomer and acrylic powder to build and extend natural nail, then polished with color or just a top coat if desired
Russian Mani ❤︎︎
every 4-5 weeks
essentially a gel manicure, but more invasive. the eponychium is snipped away so polish can be applied more closely and flush to the cuticle. this aids in visuals and longevity
service is seen as risky because the skin is more susceptible to fungal or bacterial infection. this is actually how i do my nails at home.
Body:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bathing ❤︎︎
2x daily
self explanatory, we all know how to bathe. i have other posts that talk about my shower and bath routines.
use a gentle cleanser then a scented body wash to complement perfume and smell fresh all day.
if needed, you can use body soaps with actives like aha, bha or retinol to exfoliate or treat skin at night
exfoliation - 2-3x/week. using scrubs, loofahs, bath brushes, etc.
Hair Removal ❤︎︎
shaving - 2-3x/week
waxing - every 3-5 weeks
sugaring - monthly
ipl device - a device that uses light therapy to slowly destroy hair follicles and unwanted pigment in skin. i use mine after every 5-6 shaves but i could really use it more often.
Vajacial ❤︎︎
1-2x/month
a “facial” for your lady area
the esthetician will first wax, then cleanse and apply an enzyme exfoliant. then they extract any blackheads or ingrown hairs from the area before applying a soothing mask usually in the jelly form.
Moisture and Hydration ❤︎︎
body cream or lotion - daily right after bathing to hydrate skin
body oil - daily to seal in moisture and protect skin from debris and dryness
masks - weekly to address particular skin concerns
ex. when i was having eczema flare ups on my back, i used a dead sea mud mask every 1-2 weeks to help treat it
done at home or at spa
glycolic, clay, mud, salicylic, etc.
Enhancement Procedures:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the goal is to look younger and balance facial features. all these services are exclusively done by professionals usually in a medspa and are widely considered luxury.
Botox ❤︎︎
every 6-8 months; between brows, smile lines, outer corners of eyes, etc
discourages muscle movement to reduce wrinkles
Lifts ❤︎︎
lasts about 10 years; face, neck, brow, eyelids
skin is lifted to desired look, then excess skin is removed
Fillers ︎❤︎︎
every 6-12 months; under-eye, lips, jawline, wrinkle sites, cheekbones
injects acids (usually naturally occurring) like Hyaluronic Acid and Calcium Hydroxylapatite to add volume to your face
Body Contouring ❤︎︎
every 2-4 months until desired results are achieved
non invasive liposuction to achieve desired physique
CoolSculpting - cryolipolysis freezes fat cells for the body to the metabolize and and remove them
SculpSure - essentially the same as CoolSculpting, but uses heat and laser technology to destroy fat cells
Laser Hair Removal ❤︎︎
every 5-6 weeks; bikini, underarms, legs, arms
touch ups done every 1-2 years
hair growth is inhibited by exposing follicles to light at frequencies that kill them
Building the Regimen 🗒️💕:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
when making appointments with your “glam squad” you can stagger your services by week depending on what’s being done. for example you can get your mani and pedi done one week. then your facials, brows and lashes another week.
Things to Keep in Mind 💭💞:
these frequencies won’t be the same for everyone depending on personal wants, budgets, etc. but will most likely land somewhere in the ranges i gave. if you need touch ups or redos any sooner than i mapped out, then the service most likely was of poor quality.
anything done at home may or may not be up to the level of detail and longevity as salon or spa work. if you see yourself doing the majority of your beauty maintenance at home, this can save money but may end up taking more time than professional services. so it’s a give and take.

Personal makeup and skin tips
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Double layer!! First liquid/cream products then dry powder products(blush, contour, highlighter)
USE SUNSCREEN "but girlbloggerbby my skin gets so oily when i use sunscreen" Better have oily skin than skin cancer.
Water based products only will work well if they are used with other products also based on water, same thing with silicone based products
I know that a lot of you love lip tints but hear me out, they dry your lips more easily, lip oils/ lip gel >>>lip tint
Bake only in oily zones, the other parts you lightly press the powder
That thing where you have to rub the cleanser for 60 seconds its bullshit, if the packaging doesn't have any information related to cleaning time, just rub it until you create foam and rinse, but doble cleanse
If u want a shiny eye makeup, the glitter/highlighter go in the mid of the eyelid to the eye corner, if you apply it to the end of the eyelid, it will be heavy in a bad way
Deep exfoliate only 2 times a week, over exfoliating sensitizes the skin, making the skin more prone to Breakout
Retinol is made to use during night, and if using during day apply even more sunscreen
When contouring the mouth, apply an eyeshadow on top to seal in the color and make it last longer, same with eyeliner
Body moisturizer is made for body and only the body!!!!!!!!!!!
Saying that here again, avoid using pell off masks(the black and extra tight to skin ones) THIS FUCKS THE SKIN BARRIER
Hydration is the greatest ally for makeup to not get cakey
Vitamin c does not get along with retinoids!
Concealer for everyday makeup.
Never and ever sleep with makeup, it clogs your pores and makes ur skin extra bad
Thats it for the day, i use makeup for a rlly long time and i search a lot about this stuff so this are skin and makeup tips that works for me, i luv ya bbys💋

Actual Crumbl Sugar Cookie Recipe from a former employee who is no longer bound by their NDA:
makes approximately 55 cookies (or 200 minis!):
ingredients:
For Cookie:
2 pounds SALTED butter
1.9 pounds white sugar
1.2 pounds powdered sugar
8 eggs
4 cups of canola oil
4 tsps of ALMOND EMULSION. can substitute for extract, but use half the amount. can also swap for other flavored extracts like vanilla!
6 pounds of flour
*half ingredient packet* Crumbl uses ingredient packets to make sure that only corporate knows the recipes, but based on what’s missing from a standard cookie recipe and what happens if you forget a packet these are the approximate substitutions
5 tablespoons baking soda
5 tablespoons baking powder
For the Frosting:
1/2 a pound of SALTED butter
6 cups of heavy whipping cream (40% milk fat)
7.5 pounds powdered sugar
2 teaspoons ALMOND EMULSION *same as before can be substituted with half amount of almond extract or vanilla if you choose*
any food coloring of your choice but Crumbl uses RED. you only need *drops*
baking directions:
preheat oven to 290 degrees F or 143 C
soften your butters in your microwave, this step is crucial. you want them NOT at all melted, but soft enough to mold with your hands easily
put your butters and sugars into a large bowl, it’s easiest if this is a stand mixer, but if not an electric hand mixer is fine. you *may* attempt this by hand but i would recommend you don’t.
if you have levels choose your most medium level and beat your butter and sugar for 10 minutes. seriously. and it’s probably not done. scrape the sides, if there is any resistance it’s not done. the texture you’re going for is like passing your spatula through a cloud. you should feel no resistance, the mixture will be light, fluffy and if you feel it between your fingers it will be silky with *slight* sugary texture. imagine applying it to your face, it’s a daily cleanser not a weekly exfoliant.
when you think you’re done put it on for another 2 minutes to be safe.
turn down to level one and add your eggs, oil and flavoring. mix until it creates a creamy soup mixture.
add all of your flour and baking soda and powder.
mix until a homogeneous dough forms.
Sugar cookies at Crumbl are weighed at 4 ounces and scooped using a portion scoop to get their standard shape, then flattened to about 3/4 of an inch thick.
or if you don’t have access to a scale this recipe makes approximately 55 cookies so do your best with that.
*if you want to make minis like Crumbl does for catering the weight is 1 ounce & the baking time is 8 minutes!*
place on a parchment lined baking sheet 2 inches apart from both the other cookies and the sides of the baking sheet. This will be about 9 cookies.
bake for 14 minutes flipping half way.
if you are planning to frost these cookies here are the mandatory next steps to ensure you don’t end up with soggy cookies.
let cookies cool on either baking sheet or on a cooling rack for 20 minutes.
put as many as you can in a single flat line onto a baking tray or something that will fit in your fridge and put in the fridge for another 20 minutes.
now they will be ready to frost with the frosting in the next steps of this recipe.
frosting directions:
soften butter like above
add butter, 2 cups of heavy cream, 2.5 pounds of powdered sugar, food dye, and flavoring to your mixer.
mix on low for one minute or until mostly combined
mix on medium until smooth
mix on high for 3 minutes
turn back to low and add the rest of the cream and powdered sugar.
mix on low until mostly combined
mix on medium until smooth
mix on high for 3 more minutes.
viola! you have Crumbl Sugar Frosting.
now to frost your cookies like they do at Crumbl….
fucking good luck! — I mean…
If enough people request it I’ll do a little video.
you want a smooth flat top with a little flat swirl.

A list of (realistic) things you can do to be more environmentally friendly
(from an earth-loving horticulture student.)
— COSMETICS
Use bar soap instead of soap bottles
Use old toothbrushes for cleaning surfaces
Try exploring and researching some homemade face/body/lip products
Use ice sleeves, sunglasses, and caps instead of sunscreen (Edit: I’ve seen people say that it is safer and even necessary to wear sunscreen at all times so try to use eco friendly sunscreen instead! In my country it’s pretty uncommon to wear sunscreen often as we usually wear ice sleeves which is why I did not know this oof)
Use coffee grinds or homemade tumeric masks instead of cosmetic products with exfoliator beads
Invest in a metal ear cleanser instead of cotton buds
Try placing more importance on skincare instead of contributing to exploitative beauty companies by buying makeup
Use cosmetic products that do not contain palm oil
— CLOTHING
Try as much as possible to rewear your outfits at least twice before washing them
Actually WEAR your clothes! I know some of y’all just wear them once for your Instagram post and let it rot in your closet forever. Stop doing that!
Thrift, stitch up holes in your clothes, and use second hand clothing instead of supporting fast fashion companies like SHEIN, H&M, Zara, etc.
Cut up your old clothing into yarn and do macramè with it
Cut patches of old clothing to turn into reusable cotton pads
Learn how to knit, crochet or stitch your clothes!
If you use tampons, try menstrual cups or discs instead. If you use pads, try reusable pads or period underwear. (Trust me, it works). Also, use reusable panty liners instead of disposable ones. They may seem expensive but you will end up saving a lot more in the long run
— GARDENING
Plant seeds/cuttings in your old bottles, jars, and containers
Propagate your plants and exchange cuttings with your friends instead of buying new plants
Make your own soil mixes instead of buying soil mixes
Better yet, don’t use soil for your indoor plants and try getting into hydroponics or semihydroponics instead. This saves so much water and doesn’t contribute to mining of soil
Fertilise plants with fruit peels, coffee grinds, and tea leaves. (DO NOT use chemical fertiliser on soil)
Plant more legume plants in your garden instead of using nitrogen fertilisers. (Look up the nitrogen cycle if you need an explanation on this)
Avoid pesticides unless really needed. Try sprinkling cinnamon powder on soil or spraying neem oil on plants and soil to keep away pests.
If you have a lawn, try looking into rain gardens and consider making one
Let the (non invasive) weeds in your lawn/garden grow! They are there for a reason!
Stop killing earthworms and millipedes in your garden. This also applies to snails native to your region. They are there for a reason.
Water used to wash fruits and rice can be used to water plants
— REDUCE, REUSE
Use the caps of jars as soap holders
Use recycled paper/notebooks
Wash and dry your glass/plastic items before throwing them in the recycling bin
Keep any plastic bags for future use
Use eco friendly or reusable dish sponges
Use reusable straws and cups
Invest in a fabric cup holder
Bring a water bottle with you wherever you go
Drink more water and less sugary drinks
Bring reusable bags for buying groceries instead of using plastic ones
Always keep a folded up tote/shopping bag with you in case you spontaneously decide to buy something
— ELECTRICITY
Set a timer on your air conditioning instead of letting it run throughout the night
Better yet, use a fan instead of an air conditioner
Open your windows! Aerate your home!
Allow natural light to enter your home during the daytime, so as to avoid turning on your lights
Switch to LED lightbulbs instead of regular lightbulbs
Turn off any switches in your house when they are not in use
Collect the water from your air conditioner/dehumidifier condenser and use that to water plants, clean surfaces, steam ironing, and flushing toilets. Do not drink it though!
— INTERNET
Delete your all of your unwanted emails
Delete your inactive social media accounts
Try not to post excessively on social media and stop scrolling excessively too. This not only reduces energy usage but also improves your mental health and productivity
Try to keep to one social media app instead of having so many
Reduce your internet usage
Save your eBooks on a thumbdrive instead of on cloud
Use Ecosia instead of Google
Stop being influenced by social media trends that only just contribute to consumerism
Download music instead of streaming
Reduce online shopping
— FOOD
Reduce intake of processed foods
Reduce intake of fish, beef, and dairy
Try eating vegan or vegetarian foods at least once or twice a week
Cook your own meals instead of eating out
Bring your own food containers when taking away food from stores
Beeswax wrap instead of cling wrap!
Buy loose-leaf tea or plastic free tea bags instead of regular tea bags
Eat more mushrooms, vegetables, and fruits and drink more water
Support local farmers
And finally, educate yourself more about ecology and the environment!
