Added a Mega CD game to the collection today that I didn’t have. Power Factory is another multimedia title in the Make My Video franchise that features music by C+C Music Factory. Phil LaMarr features in some of the interstitial video sequences

to this day i think one of the best writing decisions the magnus archives made was making it explicitly clear that your bloodline made little to no difference to whether you would develop any kind of connection to the entities and their powers. even so-called "avatar families" either had to produce multiple heirs in the hope that at least one would be inclined to continue their work (like the lukases) or end up with imperfect messiahs despite all their efforts (like the cult of the lightless flame), and in most cases being born into that life only made you more at risk of ultimately rejecting and/or being consumed by it. there was no direct runs-in-the-family line of succession ending in the perfect chosen one. even generations' worth of preparation and legacy-building could be brought to an end by a single act of defiance or doubt. it's the perfect theme for a podcast all about choices and their consequences.

Hypothetically speaking, what are some games you would wanna see the boys play on Monster Factory?

I think Law knows the level of Luffy's craziness as he witnessed it first account at the Auction House when he punched the Celestial Dragon but what he wasn't prepared for was the benevolence, specifically, Law couldn't wrap his head on the part where Luffy's actions end up unintentionally helping a lot of people. To witness the juxtaposition of a pirate liberating countries to repay a simple favor for someone who happened to give him food, it's insane.

incidentally, for anyone wondering about the current state of me playing vault hunters: I’ve been playing on a server with some friends for a few months and am level 89, have several absurdly expensive endgame items unlocked, and am going “I mean I technically don’t NEED a fission reactor, but I feel like there’s a point in every bee’s life where really, why not harness the unlimited power of nuclear energy?”

Speaking of Shazamo and Billy getting the Wit of Odysseus as the O in the acronym I’m just imagining Cap being even more of a little shit and pulling the same nonsense he did with much better affect (mostly bc he has the physical and godly might to get out of the bulk of the consequences Ody suffered)

Like some alien armada is causing trouble but being diplomatic first before they try the invasion tactic so, just to make them look stupid when the JL (inevitably) defeats them he introduces himself as Nobody so now this galactic conquerer dude can’t be taken seriously bc every time someone translates his rants he’s saying “Nobody” or “A Nothing” defeated him. Billy laughs so hard it actually hurts his sides powered up.

Plus, Ody is just really on his feet strategically smart which would pair well with the more large scale stuff Solomon offers, both being mortal kings who had to do things mostly mortally.
