there's a lot of people that have done things in the past that were bad, because they weren't taught any better, or they were in an overall toxic situation where EVERYONE was shitty (like a cult), or they were just at an especially low point and hurt others for it.

you don't have to forgive them. you don't have to ever speak to them again. you can be angry with them until you die if you want.

but society cannot function if we don't allow them to move on. to change their behavior and fuck off somewhere else and build meaningful relationships without bothering you again. we need a path for people to change, or nothing ever will.

deeply refreshing to see someone critical of Swift who also like, genuinely likes her. Like i'm neutral to positive on her, but the online discourse has been absolutely rancid. flipping between "Taylor Swift has never done anything wrong ever and she's a fucking genius" and "Taylor Swift is the worst lyricist of all time and also a bad person" is exhausting, so thank you for like. nuance or something lmao

not to make it serious for a sec but i genuinely think that being able to like things that are bad is really important. like I think that it's an important skill to be able to look at something and see what you personally enjoy about it and then take a step back and acknowledge that objectively it's flawed. and to also be able to acknowledge that liking something isn't necessarily an identity or a moral stance. and i think that fandom space in general could really benefit from more people taking the time to learn how to do that. it's okay to like things that are bad

i didn't think it through too much but the way the games really emphasize the defense's mindset of "always believing in your client" vs many of the prosecutors' methods of always aiming for a guilty verdict... i can see tmhk thriving in those respective roles

i think it's also nice that they both have information-gathering path actions but both coerce and bribe are pretty shady in this context LOL

on the topic of arranged marriages in the post-canon, my dumbest and most inescapable headcanon is that falin and kabru get lavander married

partially out of my love of lavander marriages and the historical tradition of queer men arranging marriages between their lovers and their sisters

and partially because every time i see a labru baby fanart i think "the rumor mill believes that falin and kabru had an affair and the king legitimized his sister's bastard as his heir" and the comedy of errors that would result from trying to cover up kabru's pregnancy/fake falin's is hilarious to me

Part of my writing process is creating pairs of characters in a project and outlining their relationship dynamic, usually giving them a funny little name to describe their general vibes or aesthetic as well. The beauty of writing a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 AU is that with a little tweaking, the character dynamics become absolutely hilarious exploration teams.

so far we’ve gotten to see sam reid play lestat the way louis describes him and the way claudia describes him and, presumably in s2, the way armand also describes him. and it’s been wild and transcendent and devastating i’m so ready for more. and someday we’ll get to see sam reid portray lestat on lestat’s own terms and it’s going to be amaze

i need you to know how loud i’m going to holler when we also finally get to see jacob anderson play louis as described by lestat. i mean i hope we get this: i need to have my mind broken like that, i need the hilarious switching of the script like that and jacob anderson’s flawless further reinterpretation of louis de pointe du lac. (we’ve already gotten glimpses of claudiavision!louis in which he is the most soft(tm) dad ever most vulnerable broken brother ever?, it is heart pulverizing.) please give me at least one lestat memory of louis
