as if mental health care is easily accessible everywhere. even excluding the US, most countries don't count mental health into their free healthcare, like with dentistry and optometry (at least in europe as far as I'm aware)

as if everyone regardless has the means and support to get help. especially in poc families, mental health is much more stigmatised than in your tiktok fyp

of course, no one is obligated to stick to a person with who they feel bad with or worsens their own mental health.

I can’t believe I just noticed this, but holy crap. Lily really, really, really, REALLY fucking LOVES the “Angry Black Woman” stereotype doesn’t she? All she does to make it somehow “PrOgGrEsSiVe” in her mind is to just see it as a POSITIVE stereotype of black woman, rather than a negative one. You can see it most clearly in Aliana, but she also pigeonholes a lot of black women characters she supposedly enjoys as just being “angry” and really nothing else.

Right off the top of my head, she claimed that Reva couldn’t harm a child because she was just “ToO mUcH oF a DaMn JeDi”, and (for some reason) NOT because there was actually WAY more to her fucking character than just being angry and violent all the goddamn time!!

oh, absolutely. we talked about this a lot when alina was still a new character. it's like in her head LO, a white person, immediately associates black women with anger and violence without even realizing why black people might have any issue with it. to her, being angry and violent are good things that she aspires to be, so constantly making black women on that style is her trying to project onto them and missing the mark because, again, she is a white person without any understanding beyond her own white experience. we also talked about how bizarre it was for her to create two black women characters and both make them sympathetic to slavery, either as an active participant or as a apologist who reduces that participation into "just a mistake of the past." she did it to Finn too, by implying that all storm trooper were all black people enslaved by the Empire. in her head, she can't separate blackness from slavery.
