Obscure Animation Subject #157: Bookworm Bunch
Alright, we we have here for tonight is not one, but multiple shows from a programming block by the name of Bookworm Bunch! This block aired on PBS for Saturday mornings from September 30, 2000 to September 5, 2004. It is the second preschool-oriented Saturday morning block, with the first being Nick Jr. on CBS which launched two years prior. The block served as a collaborative deal between PBS and Nelvana teamed up to create the first-ever animated weekend programming block for the network. Nelvana is a Canadian animation studio founded in 1971, which previously had a deal with CBS to have its own Saturday morning lineup in 1998 but Nick Jr took their place in 2000, so the studio decided to another block with another network, PBS. Some stations may air the block on Sunday mornings when there was less competition. Originally was gonna post this yesterday, but didnāt have the time to due to how long this entire post is.
The block was created to boost viewership of the preschool audience on weekends, specifically on Saturday mornings when that attention was shifted elsewhere. Prior, many PBS stations devoted their Saturday morning schedules to general audience programming, including crafting or do-it-yourself shows, meanwhile commercial networks had extensive lineups for Saturday morning cartoons. This block was created to compete with the big commercial networks.
The lineup consisted of six shows based on childrenās books, those being Corduroy (by Don Freeman), Elliot Moose (by Andrea Beck), Timothy Goes to School (by Rosemary Wells), Seven Little Monsters (by Maurice Sendak), George Shrinks (by William Joyce) and Marvin the Tap-Dancing Horse (by Betty and Michael Paraskevas). A seventh series, Junior Kroll and Company (by Betty Paraskevas), was in development, but was later scrapped.
During the block's first season, all the shows (with the exception of the first 15-minute Corduroy episode) were shown either 15 or 45 minutes past the hour, in an effort to discourage "channel-flipping" to other competing children's cartoons. Another 15-minute Corduroy episode then ended the block, making its total runtime three hours. This block proved to be a success, gaining high ratings at first, although as time went on the viewership declined.
A drastic revamp was made to its second season when it premiered on November 3, 2001. Elliot Moose and Corduroy were both dropped from the lineup entirely, thus shortening the block to two hours. The four remaining series (Timothy Goes to School, Marvin the Tap-Dancing Horse, Seven Little Monsters, and George Shrinks) were instead seen on the hour and half-hour. This second season ended on February 23, 2002, but reruns continued until September 5, 2004 when it was discontinued all together.
In spite of this, new episodes of Seven Little Monsters and George Shrinks started airing separately from the block for their final seasons, and reruns continued separately for Timothy Goes to School on Discovery Kids until 2006 and Qubo until its shutdown, with Elliot Moose and Marvin the Tap-Dancing Horse also airing on the latter. PBS also continued airing reruns for Seven Little Monsters until 2004, and George Shrinks until 2009. Alright, now letās look at the 6 programs shall we?
The first show is Corduroy, which aired new episodes until February 24, 2001. It also aired on TVOKids in its origin country Canada. The series was developed by Betty Quan and directed by Eduardo Soriano, with the animation outsourced from Chinaās Sichuan Top Animation. Storyboard artists include Paul Dedi, Dave Mah, Ken Davis, Trent Larson, Sam To (later an MLP storyboard artist), Don Boone, John Delaney and Marvin Tabo Estropia, with the animation supervised by Greg Woods
Based on the book from 1968 (I remember seeing its cover on the opening for Blue's Clues), it follows an alive teddy bear Corduroy (whose personality is similar to a preschool child) and his best friend Lisa, a young schoolgirl of Jamaican heritage. They go on adventures through the town of New York, USA. 13 half-hours were produced for the series, but the episodes were split into 26 11-minute episodes when airing on the block. I havenāt seen it so not much to say here.

Elliot Moose, which was based on the 1998 book series, actually originally aired in Canada on TVOntario from September 6, 1999 to September 20, 2000, prior to debuting on Bookworm Bunch. The series had 26 half-hour episodes produced of 2 seasons, each episode containing four 5-minute segments, two in live-action and two animated. The live-action segments are directed by Steve Wright and Michael McNamara, while the animated segments are directed by Charles E. Bastien, infamously known as the sole director for PAW Patrol from its third season until the tenth season when his death occurred, his death from cancer is thanks to the toxic work environment of Guru Studio. Anyways, Elliot Moose features a young moose named Elliot who lives in a place called "the Big House". He goes on adventures with his friends Beaverton, Lionel, Socks, and Paisley. Again, I donāt have much to say about it because I havenāt seen, and is probably the most forgotten show of the bunch.

Anyway, moving on the third series which is Timothy Goes to School. This show is developed by Kate Barris and directed by Gary Hurst. It lasted until January 26, 2002, and was co-produced by Silver Lining, with animation provided by Animation Services (Hong Kong) Limited. Notably, this isnāt the only collaboration Nelvana had with Silver Lining, as they would later co-produce the more well-known Max & Ruby, which was also based on the books by Rosemary Wells, being done with flash animation and lasting from May 3, 2002 to April 9, 2020, wow nearly 18 years, with 7 seasons and 130 episodes of 334 segments. Timothy Goes to School though was animated traditionally with digital ink-and-paint, as with the other shows from Bookworm Bunch. It had 2 seasons of 26 episodes with each containing two 11-minute segments. It follows Timothy as he attends kindergarten at the fictional āHilltop Schoolā. I think I remember watching it, but I donāt remember what happens in every episode, so moving on. My step sister loves Max & Rudy so I may show this to her since itās from the same creator.

The fourth show is what I consider to be my personal favorite of the bunch, Seven Little Monsters, which follows a family of 7 monsters (each named after a number) and their mother, sharing a lot in common visually with the other work of the original author, Where the Wild Things Are. Based on the 1977 book, it aired for three seasons of 40 episodes from September 30, 2000 to October 6, 2003, with season 3 featuring two 11-minute segments per episode. Animation was outsourced from Suzhou Hong Ying Animation Company Limited from China for the first two seasons and Philippine Animation Studio Inc. from the Philippines for the final season. Glenn Sylvester directed the first season, while Neil Affleck, known for his collaborations on The Simpsons and Family Guy, directed every episode of the second season and also directed episodes of the third season with Lynn Reist. Affleck and Reist later reunited to serve as the two episode directors of Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends. What I really like about this show is that it has a calming slice-of-life aesthetic, although the monsters are like their book compartments design-wise, they act far less naughty which makes sense as PBS is about teaching kids positive values. What I like about this show is that it has less emphasis on teaching educational values, but more about the family dynamic, which makes the relationships of the family feel realistic, which also having a relaxing slice-of-life tone thatās reminiscent of Arthur, with a bit of a goofy nature thrown in, mainly with how Three likes using different personas in each episode. The character designs do really give the series edge to it when compared to other PBS shows, feeling reminiscent of something you would see on Cartoon Network. And plus, the theme song preformed by Barenaked Ladies of Big Bang Theory fame is great. So overall, Iād say this is the show I recommend the most from this bunch.

George Shrinks is the fifth show of this bunch and, it isnāt anything special really. It is animated by Jade Animation and lasted from September 30, 2000 to January 23, 2003 for 3 seasons of 40 episodes. Doug Thoms directed every episode in the first season, and while he was kept for directing certain episodes of seasons 2 and 3, other directors usually took his place. Already the show differs from the original source material by having the title character not returning to his normal size at the conclusion, appearing to have already been small with no apparent explanation, and it teaches kids about having a positive outlook, which is fine but it doesnāt make me interested. If you think Iām missing out on something please let me know, because I know it has its own fans.

And now the most weird of the bunch, the final series, Marvin the Tap-Dancing Horse. Animated by Hong Guang Animation, it lasted for two seasons of 26 episodes from September 30, 2000 to January 26, 2002, with each episode containing two 11-minute segments. It tells the stories of a young horse named Marvin who is part of a carnival. Interestingly Marvin used to be a movie celebrity but moved on from that life for a more humble existence. Some episodes include original songs to help illustrate the theme or accompany montages that carry the story forward. The show is based on the love of personal interests of the co-creator, Michael Paraskevas, for carnivals and his motherās love for musical theatre. Itās like Bojack Horseman if in an alternative wholesome universe.

And so thatās bookworm bunch, a forgotten PBS relic that has some hidden gems, but for the most part itās fine. Very ambitious to create a Saturday morning block targeted at preschoolers through since older children are usually home. But, thereās some great stuff to behold, like Seven Little Monsters, but otherwise an interesting experiment that unfortunately, flopped.

Freeform Disney Block Ideas
So for the past few months, I've been thinking about the concept of the channel Freeform having programming blocks for the animated programming from Disneyās expansive library, similar to what TeenNick and Adult Swim did with The Splat and Checkered Past.
I feel like it would help garner more interest in the channel, and would serve as a throwback to those programming blocks like Disneyās One Saturday Morning and ABC Kids.
So far, Iāve taught of about two programming blocks, both of which would air on the weekends.
Funky Fridays:
This would be a Friday night block, drawing heavy inspiration from Cartoon Networkās Cartoon Cartoon Fridays.
The block's format would be set in the iconic House of Mouse, where Mickey, his famous pals, and various Disney Channel characters serve as the hosts.
As for the programming.
The block would feature new episodes of Big City Greens, Hamster & Gretel, Kiff, Zombies: The Re-Animated Series and Primos.
In fact, that would be the biggest draw of the block.
You would be able to see new episodes of these shows before they would properly premiere on their home network.
The block would also feature reruns of Phineas & Ferb, Hailey's On It!, Recess, The Proud Family, Lilo & Stitch: The Series, Pepper Ann, and yes, even House of Mouse.
And staying true to it's name, Funky Fridays would feature music videos that would air during commercial breaks, structured in a countdown format ala TeenNick's Top 10.
Finally for the schedule....
-6:00: Recess
-6:30: Pepper Ann
-7:00: Big City Greens (New)
-7:30: The Proud Family
-8:00: Zombies: The Re-Animated Series (New)
-8:30: Lilo & Stitch: The Series
-9:00: Hamster & Gretel (New)
-9:30: Phineas & Ferb
-10:00: Primos (New)
-10:30: Hailey's On It!
-11:00: Kiff (New)
-11:30: House of Mouse
Jetix:
Now this is a name that I'm sure will take you all back!
This will serve as a Saturday night block, focusing on the more action-oriented/mature programming of the library, ala Toonami.
Similar to Funky Fridays, it would feature various characters serving as the hosts of the block.
However, the setting would be in a high-tech hero base.
As for the programming, it would primarily feature reruns.
Those being of Hercules: The Series, Aladdin: The Series, Gargoyles, The Legend of Tarzan, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, Kim Possible, American Dragon: Jake Long, Gravity Falls, Amphibia, The Owl House, The Spectacular Spider-Man, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
There would be new episodes of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, X-Men: The Next Mutation, Maximum Marvel, and Time Patrol Bon.
In the case of the middle two, they would be Freeform original series since....
They're a little too mature for Disney Channel
They're not gonna thrive at all over at Disney XD! Also, same issue as Disney Channel
I actually want the seasons for these shows to be longer than 10 episodes. So no to Disney Plus
As for Time Patrol Bon, I know it seems strange it's an original series on Netflix.
But #1, this wouldn't be the first time a Netflix original series would go on to air on television.

And #2, this would sort of a nod to the fact that Disney famously aired the official English dub of Doraemon, another work done by the Fujiko Fujio.
As for the schedule.
-6:00: Star Wars: The Clone Wars
-6:30: Buzz Lightyear of Star Command
-7:00: Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur (New)
-7:30: Hercules: The Series
-8:00: Time Patrol Bon (New)
-8:30: Aladdin: The Series
-9:00: X-Men: The Next Mutation (New)
-9:30: Gargoyles
-10:00: Maximum Marvel (New)
-10:30: The Legend of Tarzan
-11:00: Gravity Falls
-11:30: The Spectacular Spider-Man
-12:00: Amphibia
-12:30: Kim Possible
-1:00: The Owl House
-1:30: American Dragon: Jake Long
Well that's all I have for now.
A short post I know, but a fun one.
Let me know what you guys think about this block ideas and the schedules for them.

Bruce Wayne is canonically a very handsome man (he is called a "pretty boy" and he is in his 40s, for fuck's sake), and he is pretty famous as a rich philanthropist who doesn't want to leave his awful cursed crime infested city. So, there must be a ton of people thirsting over him on the internet. Fancams, edits, fanfics and imagines ("kidnapped with Bruce Wayne š by a Gotham rogue"), the whole charade!
And anytime one of the batkids stumbles on a thirst post, they have the most dramatic disgusted reaction, loudly gagging, before sending the link to the batkids chat, because if they must suffer, then they should all suffer. Clicking on a link in this groupchat is like playing russian roulette, and getting rickrolled is a good ending.

no, but really, we need to talk about the casual objectification that has become the fallback discourse of the internet: if you're pretty and dressed nicely, you're a slut. and if you're even vaguely outside of their body standard, you're fucking disgusting.
too-frequently, people position sex workers as being "the problem". they sneer you're addicted to pornography, you don't know what a real woman looks like. but real women are in pornography. the real bodies on display are not the issue here: the issue is that other people feel extremely confident when commenting on someone's physique.
2000's super-thin is slowly worming its way back into the public ideal. recently i saw someone get told to "go for a run", despite the fact she was on the thinner side of average. not that it would ever be appropriate to say that: but it's kind of like sticker shock when you see it. people think that is fat? holy shit. do they just have no idea about things?
but what are you going to do about it? that's the problem, right. because chances are - you're a normal person. we can say normalize carrying fat on your body, but we are not the billion-dollar diet industry. we are not the billion-dollar fashion industry. we are just, like. people. who are trying to make content on the internet, without being treated shittily.
as someone who has been on both sides of things: you are treated better when you are thin and pretty. this is statistically correct. i am not saying that you cannot be bullied for being thin; i'm saying there are objective institutional biases against certain bodytypes. there are videos of men and women who lost weight all saying: i now know for a fact exactly how much worse you're treated. in the comments, some asshole inevitably says something akin to you deserved to be dehumanized when you were fat.
which means that ... the easiest thing to do is be pretty and thin. it is the path of least resistance, because of course it is, because any time you post a picture of yourself without a thigh gap, someone immediately comments something like you need to try a diet.
the other half is also dehumanizing though, huh, just in a different way. when i put on makeup and nice clothes, i am told i slept my way to the top as a professional. do you know how many women in STEM have told me they purposefully dress to "unimpress" because they already struggle to be taken seriously and if they're ever considered pretty - it for some reason takes away from their authority.
so they make it seem like it's your fault. you, existing in a body - it's your fault! if you didn't want shitty comments, don't have a body. they position us against each other like chess pieces; vying for male attention we don't even need.
and i can be an authority on this unless you think i'm fat and unattractive. when i am pretty and thin, i'm an activist. when i am just a normal person who makes a good point: i am immediately dismissed. nobody fucking believes you if you're not seen as attractive. you literally lose value. you cease to exist.
but the whole time, it feels like - is anyone actually grounded the fuck in reality? the line of "pretty and thin" keeps shifting. nobody seems to understand what "a normal weight" even looks like, because it's not something that exists - you cannot tell a person's health by looking at their body. even if you think you could tell that, even if you're sure a person is dangerously overweight - people are not your dolls. they do not need to be dressed up or displayed properly to soothe your aesthetics. you aren't concerned for them, you're stealing their agency. you don't get to say if they're "allowed" to take pictures and post them on the internet - you don't get to tell them how to exist.
people hide behind "the obesity epidemic" without any actual qualifications. they crow things about "normalizing unhealthiness".
but it's bullshit. i have visible abs. there is a pair of parallel lines on my body, even when i'm relaxed; where my obliques meet my abdominal wall. i am proud of this because it means i'm strong, because i overcame an eating disorder only to be ripped as fuck. it is genetic and physical luck that i even get any definition, i'm pleased as punch.
but it does mean that my abdominal wall sticks out a little bit. the other day i posted a video of myself dancing, and, for a moment, my shirt slipped. you could see a little bit of my stomach. i was cartwheeling to the floor. moments before this, i'd had my foot over my head.
a guy slid into my DMs. a row of vomiting emojis prefaced: you should really lose some weight before you think about dancing.
i stared at it for a long time. there was a time when i would have been triggered by this, where it would have encouraged me to starve myself. i would have ignored the fact i'm flexible, agile, good at jumping: i would have lost the weight for a stranger's passing comment. i would have found myself and my body fucking disgusting.
and for what? to please what? because why? so that he can exist in this world without an unchallenged eyeball? what would my self-hatred even accomplish? usually i write paragraphs. obviously. on this particular occasion, in this body i've been at war with for ages: i just felt exhausted.
it shouldn't be even worth saying. it shouldn't be hard to explain. all of this emotional turmoil when he cannot even comprehend the most basic truth: i am not an object on display for him.
#spilled ink#writeblr#warm up#like if im getting fatshamed. babe......... wake up#is there fat on my body? yes :)#btw this behavior wouldn't be okay even if I WAS overweight!!! that is my point!!!#it is both that people have no idea what weight is supposed to look like#and even if they DID... they do not seem to understand that PEOPLE ARE NOT DOLLS#YOU DO NOT GET TO TELL THEM HOW TO EXIST#if you respond anything akin to ''but raquel there IS an obesity epidemic''#you're blocked and reported.#go fucking DONATE TO A FOOD BANK THEN. volunteer in a food desert. start a free fitness program#GO GET A DEGREE AS A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL AND PRACTICE IN NUTRITION IN UNDERPRIVILEDGED LOCATIONS#FIGURE OUT HOW TO LOWER FOOD COSTS. FIGURE OUT HOW TO NORMALIZE AND STANDARDIZE#ACCESS TO FARM-FRESH FOOD. PROVIDE ACTUAL FREE ACCESS TO OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES#FIGURE OUT HOW TO TEACH PEOPLE HEALTHY CHOICE MAKING WHILE ALSO LOWERING THE COST OF MEALS.#THE AVERAGE GROCERY BILL OF THE AMERICAN CITIZEN HAS QUADRUPILED IN THE LAST YEAR.#SHUT. THE FUCK. UP!!!!!!!!!#you don't want to help these people!!!!!#you want to bully them but still feel like a good person!#you want to be justified in your hatred of an entire CLASS of people!!!#you don't give a fuck about how it makes them feel!!!!#you care ONLY about whether or not YOU get to VIRTUE SIGNAL that YOURE so thin and pretty!!!!#it is BECAUSE of people like you#and the fact you tolerate fatphobia - BECAUSE of that normalization. that men like the one who called me fat#feel like they can get away with it.#bc there's a line for you where you WOULD be okay with it. where if i WASNT thin you'd be okay with it.#which means the line can always be pushed in a certain direction. and it's always going to appeal to male aesthetics.#''well you didn't deserve it'' maybe fucking NOBODY does babe. maybe we should just all agree not to comment on ppls bodies!!

ML x Smiling Critters Au
Students by day! Heroes by... any other time of the day. When people transform into weird creatures and terrorize the locals, it's up to Dogday and Catnap to save the day! And keep everyone alive, of course!... hopefully. Honestly, both Dennis and Theo are just trying to get through the day and attempt to maintain little normalcy that's left in their city
Could there be more to this weird phenomena than just random coincidences? Was this all planned? Will they ever find the rumored Ladybug Miraculous that is said to repair everything?
WELL Y'ALL IDK GUYS BC HONESTLY I ONLY DREW THIS FOR FUN AND AS STRESS RELIEF AND I'M FAR TOO BUSY AND TIRED TO EVEN TRY AND DRAW ANOTHER FANCOMIC JWDJDUDJFJDD
That's not to say I don't have ideas or a somewhat cohesive plot in mind for this little dumb au

Read them under the cut:
Idk if y'all even bothered to see the other post about this Au, but basically it's like a human AU where it's MOSTLY normal like. Playtime Co. didn't rly exist. Orphans were not expiramented. Maybe some grew up and became adults themselves etc. Ngl I haven't figured this part out properly, but basically a family had a hold of these miraculouses which made like, a secret orgs thst tests their abilities or something. Then stuff happens with like whistleblowing and an Agreste(tm) event. Tho to sum up my scattered thoughts on this part: they used to have all the miraculouses, but someone stole it away from them. Unfortunately for them, someone important got rly sick so they're rly desperately finding the others (LB and Cat Miraculous mostly) to cure them and yeah the current butterly user (Harley Sawyer at this point) is carrying his predecessor's wishes, but w/ an ulterior motive of course. Why is he a robot here? Mmm ngl I don't rly have any other reason for it. Just wanted to draw a robot w/ some butterfly motifs
Okay, for the story, the "toys" are just normal people, but they become their "toy" selves upon akumatization. Idk whether to base it more on the toy lore or in-game lore but I might just have to merge them both (but leaning more on toy-lore, hopefully)
There will be like, um, a mix of aging-up here, like the Smiling Critters and Nightmare Critters here are teenagers, but some characters like the human vers. of Mommy long legs is an adult. I am trying to understand the game lore but I won't be very accurate bc again, I' not rly active with it so sorry die-hard fans š¤·āāļø
Enough of that, here are some thoughts of the main protags:
Dennis Dantes is the likable cheery athlete in school. You could say he's popular, but he doesn't rly hang out with the popular kids for too long. He'd rather spend time with the friends he made since he was young. Dennis is just honest and simple like that. He is a natural leader, but he only lets that shine through as Dogday.
Theodore Grambell is the opposite. He's a loner, troublemaker, and sleepy student that professors dislike to have in class. And yet, he is beloved by his friends, Dennis mostly! While he keeps quiet as himself, he's nearly dead silent as Catnap. He lets Dogday take the lead with saving the day, but at the end of the day, it's his cataclysm that really matters in an akuma crisis. Unlike Dennis, he knows a lot more about the miraculous stuff, thanks to some... shady figure
When the first meeting, Catnap and Dogday weren't sure of each other. It took some time and akuma-fighting for Dogday to actually understand Catnap, and for Catnap to tolerate Dogday's overbearing "as heroes, we have to blah blah blah" mindset. This is ironic, btw, because as civilians, they are both the bestest of friends. Closest. Dennis always pounces at Theo every time he sees him, then talks his ear off, and Theo wouldn't mind, and would just be happy to be with him
Story starts with Dennis getting his miraculous via finding it in his locker. Theo got his few weeks prior (thanks to shady figure). Since this is an alt universe, events went differently, so kwamis like Barkk behave a little differently from canon. Barkk here is a lot more strict with rules and has to asert common sense to Dennis when he gets too carried away by his heart. That said, Dennis and Barkk are good with each other. As for Plagg, he and Theo are awkward AF. I imagine that Theo's not much of a conversationalist in general, so you can guess who does most of the talking. Plagg's also desperately trying to convince Theo that MAYBE idk that the shady guy is??? Not to be trusted?? It falls on deaf ears, unfortunately
There ARE guardians of the miraculouses here lol they just don't have the Ladybug miraculous bc the former user crashed out and dipped. They are searching for it and later on, after Dennis meets them, he helps them search for it

I try not to put negative stuff on my blog, but today, I'm making an exception.
I'm putting you chickensh!ts who send anonymous hate to my friends like @happydayz101 on notice. You can and should still be blocked. People who receive hate from anons can simply click the 3 dots to the left of Answer, which will bring up the option to Block @Anonymous. This will block the specific anon who sent that ask and no one else.
So Happy, I know you're well acquainted with the block button, in case you want to use this option.
I'd encourage others to reblog for awareness.
#don't f*ck with my friends#cowards send hate anonymously#enjoy being blocked#we now return to your regularly scheduled program#reblog for awareness

Back to back scam asks from the same account showed up in my inbox. I'm always curious and clicked on the GFM and once again it's got all the red flags. First of all, the ask did the whole "Dear Humanity" thing. We know that's a red flag.
Second, it then says to click the GFM link or use PayPal. In the GFM the organizer says they will use PayPal to send the money. Red flag number 2 as it has been well established that PayPal does not work in Gaza or the Palestinian Territories. Even Al Jazeera says it doesn't work. Then we get to the fun nugget of the ahistorical revisionism.
This is clearly a bad copy and paste. The space on the second line only happens when you copy and paste some text that is formatted oddly and don't delete the extraneous spacing. Also, this is the exact same text multiple other scams have used on their respective GFMs. I even talked about this on another post where I first encountered this particular narrative. And let's be clear. This didn't happen. The Israeli response didn't happen in any significant manner until the 9th. They were literally still fighting in Israel proper, counting the dead, going through the wreckage of the attacks, and identifying bodies. This only seeks to change the well established timeline of events. It changes it from "We were the aggressors on October 7th and cheered on the actions that occurred" to "We were actually the victims and that attack never occurred, in fact we were attacked". That's blatantly and factually wrong, and the fact that people are falling for it or not calling out the blatant lie because "something something Israel bad" is horrific. But let's continue through the story we're given. Apparently one of the children was injured some period of time ago. We don't know when. We're told it was when they went to the south. Well that was a long time ago in the context of this war, and the pictures we're given provide no context. So either these injuries happened a while ago and have since been treated or they happened recently and have since been treated (but I'm also told there are no hospital in Gaza???). Yes, continuing and more specialized treatment outside of Gaza is often necessary. But the ask literally has none of the previous hallmarks of "here's what it will take to get out and get treatment" that we've seen previously and what is now common knowledge.
And here's the kicker, If you take the images in this GFM and reverse search them they link to multiple other GFMs using different organizers around the globe, but all with the same story. All of them have a variety of copy and paste edits, and many of them have pictures of other people from other GFMs interspersed throughout. So yeah, this was a very clear and obvious scam and once again adds to the ever growing pile of why we don't trust these accounts that continuously pop up and ask for money while attempting to pull at heartstrings.
#i/p#palestine scam#If it's showing up in my inbox I know for a fact it's a scam#The only way it's showing up is if a bot is set to look for certain key words and submit the pre-written ask#It's a pre-programmed script#Not a person asking you for money and help#blockity block block
