aaaand one more random thought i guess. I like friendship test for a lot of reasons, but one of the big ones is... it feels exactly like the sort of game i have always wanted to make? i was 12 years old dreaming about making an rpg maker game set in a laboratory with scientists and robots and experimented-on people and animals. I never got around to it cuz i hated my middle school years so much, not to mention my long-lasting fatigue and executive functioning troubles. But I would have loved friendship test soo so much at that point in my life.

I watched Mar's Q&A yesterday. It's kind of amazing how FT went from being, well, literally a "test" game into such a long and thought out story. I think when I think of making a game, I feel like I have to have the story pretty well planned out before I can start programming or making art for it. But thats not true, is it? I'm just holding myself back that way, getting myself stuck. I think my workflow will be best if I have many things to switch between anyway, between the programming, story, writing, artwork, gameplay, music, etc. I always hate doing the same type of stuff for too long.

IDK. seeing that bit of Mar's process makes gamedev seem doable. I don't have to have a plan going in. esp if planning isnt really working for me.

Great news for uninsured adults in the USA who want a COVID-19 booster! It now appears that ALL CVS locations are now active participants in the Bridge Access Program. The Bridge Access Program gives out free Covid-19 vaccinations to 18+ adults who otherwise can't afford one, so if you have a CVS near you, please go get one! For others who don't have a CVS near them, please go to vaccines.gov, click on "Find Covid-19 vaccines", fill out which vaccines you prefer (you can mix different vaccines if you have to so i reccomend just marking all of them for the age groups you need), and when the next page loads mark the "Bridge Access Program Participant" option to see only locations that are Bridge Access Program participants. Hopefully, other places that aren't CVS will start participating soon, so just check back every so often to see if there are any updates. The CDC Bridge Access Program website also has more details on what locations will be participating, but only CVS is appearing as an active participant on the vaccines.gov location finder at the moment.

Finally, the first page of the comic project!

When @isthatbloodonhisshirt posted My Name is Derek Hale and I saw the tag 'time loop', I cannot tell you how excited I was - I love time loop stories - and as soon as I started reading chapter two i thought 'man this is a cool visual, I bet it'd work pretty well as a comic'. And hey. Who's got two hands and a can-do attitude towards comic projects? This fella.

So here we go! I haven't done a long-form comic in more than a decade and I'm still figuring out how to draw the boys but doing a comic is always an ongoing learning process (: (part of that learning process is doing covers which uhhhhhhh is going to be at the end of the chapter for Reasons)

(Also Stiles' alarm choice is totally on me, bless Ella for giving the go ahead lol)
