magic spoon may taste like ass and have the texture of styrofoam but that’s what i like about it.
it tastes good to me because i wasn’t allowed to eat sugary cereal as a kid, and thus have no frame of reference. and i hate the texture of soggy cereal, so its eternally crunchy styrofoam formula is exactly what i need. i am immune to the sensation of it sticking to my teeth due to years of exposure to cheetos hot fries
it’s the perfect breakfast for me, a lazy and insane person who has always wanted to eat packing peanuts

I'm so so so so sick of "we need to do x to feed the world" coming from the US and western agriculture companies.
I'm trying to write a research review paper for my entomology class, and for my topic I chose insects as an alternative food/animal feed source. And really I haven't even gotten into the topic itself yet, but the rhetoric at the beginning of most these articles is exactly the same as chemical companies. "If we introduce/change this one thing we'll solve hunger by 2050!!!". No bitch, what will actually happen is that new thing you introduce will have emissions and ecological impact just as bad as or worse than the things we already have because you don't want to grapple with capitalism as a system and how our food is distributed and produced.
And like I know companies know this, they know the real goal is to capture another thing to profit off of. What gets me is SO many people will repeat this to death without critically thinking about why we have hunger in the world, and without looking at how food and agricultural products are distributed.
There's no miracle product to fix a systemic issue.
