"  the opposite of love is not hate but fear. The capacity to affirm the Other requires an enlargement of soul to stand up against the fearfulness which is our condition. To love the Other, with all the Other's presumed power to hurt us, requires a substantial amplitude of soul, an enlargement of one's sense of self, so that one is not so precariously at risk. This is what Aristotle meant by the "magnanimous" person, one with a large enough sense of self to not only allow the Other to be Other, but to be open to whatever power, and capacity for wounding us, the Other may have. Until one can risk this kind of soulfulness, one cannot be said to be able to love."

And that is the whole problem in society today, in how people have programmed themselves to recognize love.  Just because you have opened your heart and mind to somebody, you think you deserve the same in return.   Or just because you are married, you start expecting unconditional and unquestionable affection and loyalty.  But being human, when it comes to love, involves passion, commitment, desire, respect, always understanding more and more of how to keep that flame alive.  So love is not a given.   We must develop ourselves further, better, and expand our understanding of that love.  This includes all of it--the emotional part, the psychological part, the physical part, the sensual and sexual parts.   True love is wholeness, not just your poor understanding of it, not just what is known on the surface, not just what everybody else does.  Learn more, because love is a mixture of many things to be mastered; and those things start as knowledge in different topics to expand your understanding, which never ends because it's a journey to grow and grow until your last breath.

A lot of pop psychology gets thrown around and since I already have a headache, here's preventing you lot from making it worse.
Love-bombing: A manipulation tactic of increasing affection and grand gestures before or after doing something abusive, specifically to weasel one's way out of consequences.
What it is not: A streak of affection and generosity towards friends/loved ones.
Trauma-bonding: Knowingly traumatizing someone to take advantage of their vulnerable state, to then act like the "hero" or the one who cheers them up.
What it is not: Bonding over similar traumas.
Gaslighting: *Knowingly* convincing someone they cannot trust their own perception of a situation in pursuit of one's own narrative.
What it is not: Misaligned perception of events.
Narcissist: Someone afflicted with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, a traumagenic cluster B disorder, that struggles with self-obsession, paranoia, craving validity from the public, delusions of grandeur, and social disconnection.
It is not: Your rubbish ex that cheated on you.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

The Science of Kissing: How It Influences Our Decisions
Remember that a passionate kiss is more than simply a fleeting pleasure; it is a deliberate and necessary action toward selecting and cultivating love the next time you find yourself sharing one.
It’s safe to say that the human fascination with love dates back centuries. We feel love on many different levels, from the excitement of the first date to the security of a committed partnership. The act of kissing is significant because it is an expression of love. Despite its apparent simplicity, kissing plays a significant function in the psychology of love, influencing our mate selection. on a real note that bit near the end of the video was genuinely haunting. hearing somerton talk about how gay writers are erased from history was one thing (with all the irony being that he stepped on the backs of numerous underpaid, underprivileged and uncredited queer writers to build his youtube channel) but when h revealed it wasn't even somerton's quote in the first place? the worst, most crushing sort of irony. how do you lament about the erasure of gay people and gay writers in history... whilst erasing a gay writer and taking his words as your own?

The power of love is found most in its triumph over fear. Where fear prevails, love is not. Given the ubiquity of fear, the move to love is a considerable challenge. Only those who can face their fears, live with ambiguity and ambivalence, can find that personal empowerment which then makes possible love of the Other.

The Timeline Shifted, and Sam is conflicted...
So! A Timeline Shift occurs one day (thanks Barry) while Team Phantom are in the Ghost Zone helping Clockwork with a few things. As they are going back to the Human World, Clockwork gives them another cryptic piece of advice.
"Unfortunately the world will not be the same as it once was. Samantha, you will find this especially Jarring, but keep an open mind."
Before they can ask what happened, he shoves them through their own respective Portals, and Sam lands in an Alleyway in Gotham.
She is confused, but a green glowing sticky note appears in front of her telling her 'go to the nearby park, you will see what I was talking about'
She walks over, and sees a lady with Green Skin tending to some flowers. Her head is covered by a Hat, so Sam can't see her face.
They strike up a Conversation, and Sam finds that this Lady is great. She loves taking care of Plants, she hates it when Companies pollute the Earth, and she even has Plant Powers just like Sam!
It occurs to her that she never asked for the Lady's name, so she asks and the lady lifts her Hat to reveal her face. And Sam freezes.
"Oh, sorry for not introducing myself. My name is Pamela Isley."
Thats her Mom's Maiden Name.
This lady has her Mom's Name.
This is her Mom.
Oooooooohhhhhhhhhh shit.
