January 2025 Devlog
Happy New Year's everyone! I hope that you have a good New Year's and a good 2025! Now onto devlog thoughts!
This honestly my favorite preview pics that we got. Simply iconic. Speaks for itself. While my first thought is it's Andrew's dream/vision/psyche, it can be Ashley embracing cannibalism as a central part of her self-image/identity. Which is always interesting to see more.
I guess this is what happens on Friendship and maybe Romance route of Decay where they successfully reconciled? I wonder if this is before they stand off with the demon, or the demon's concerned about them. This feels like a standoff with how final boss vibes this place is. But it's always possible this is when something else happens, like a new transformation? (please have them turn into demons)
So this friend from primary school is still friends with Andrew in adulthood. I wonder what happened to him, especially since he didn't help him out in quarantine. Rip Andrew though, he seemed to be both smoking and drunk. Or sick.
Goddamn, that's a spike in CGs, with episode 4 not even being revealed yet. And all of that content with no satisfying cliffhanger.
And now onto the devlog video!
It's interesting that it acts like a video rewinding, suggesting Andrew has the TV motif like Ashley has. This might be part of the demon's powers, since Burial vision has it start with a TV screen and the six eyes in TV screens when you're going through Ashley's past and murders. Or it could be a gameplay feature explained as the demon's powers.
TV motifs are also very interesting in regards to the siblings. They tie in with Andrew's obsession with the gaze and Ashley's insistence of simplicity and remaining a child. It can also mean the demon is watching them carefully and is actually their puppetmaster. This may spawn its own analysis/theory post, but for now, on to the actual video.
It's so strange and funny to have the friends to be like the dummy-looking sprites. It doesn't seem to be a placeholder and an actual reflection of Andrew's psyche at this point. It appears the fully detailed sprites only go to people he deem most important in his life.
So it is confirmed Ashley did get bullied in high school. And Julia was the one who helped her deal with them, but they don't always get along enough for her to be reliable. Ouch. But on a bright side, we finally get to see Teenshley's sprites and she is so damn adorable, I love her so much.
Also that detail of Andrew's shoes being so worn out is. Ouch. How much money did he have to give to his parents that he couldn't even get new shoes?
Guy really defended his friend from incest allegations and then called Ashley that. Yeah no wonder why Andrew just kinda tolerates him.
And of course that douchebag only wants to fuck Ashley because. This does confirm my speculation Ashley was desired in high school for her body by boys, but to what extent is a mystery. Cause this guy is such a sleazy horndog to the point his own friend told him straight to his face he wouldn't even let him date his sisters.
This appears to be right before or soon before Andrew asks Julia out, especially since Julia is worried if Ashley hates her. Though interestingly Ashley is blank-faced about not on talking terms with Julia.
Anyway, this is a very interesting devlog, definitely one of my favorites!

Top 10 underutilized and underappreciated Tsams, Laes and Eaps Characters.
10, Miku's Brother. He has the potential of being a genuine threat to the family but he's only appeared once so far.
9, That Creepy Doll. He helped Bloodmoon for around a week and then completely vanished. I want to know his deal and why he was helping him.
8, Servant Sun. Poor guy died off screen and I will never forgive the writers for doing that.
7, Other June 16th Victims. Why is Evelyn the only one we've seen? I would like to see the others one day, even just once.
6, Ekli (Puppetmaster's Eclipse). He was under the Puppetmaster's control and I'm sad that they didn't even try to save him.
5, Goliath. Do I even need to explain? They literally forgot he existed right after they introduced him.
4, Dark Sun's Wither Dragon. I badly want to see It again But Dark Sun's story seems to be over so we probably won't.
3, Neptor. little guy did nothing wrong, wasn't his fault that he was a spy drone and it was so sad when he died.
2, Kill Code. Why bother redeeming a character if you're just gonna kill him off later, Such a waist.
1, Solar Flare. My boy deserves so much more, BRING HIM BACK!! And let him live in the Eaps dimension.
Please tell me what you think and leave a comment below saying what characters you think deserve more screen time, I would like to see what you have to say.

Where do people get the idea that Komaeda was uniquely passive among the Remnants of Despair, or that he adopted the ideology in a meaningfully different way thanks to his allegiance to hope?
As a Remnant in DR2, his ideology is clearly shown to be in tatters. He keeps contradicting himself, and honestly it feels like any attachment to “hope” he may have had is only strengthening the warping effect of despair on his mind, not weakening it. And in UDG, while he’s never directly violent, he’s a dangerous puppetmaster. The Remnants were supposedly able to blend in well enough to be taken in by the Future Foundation, so it’s not like all of them were mindless killing machines except Komaeda! They all retained their original selves enough to carry out despair’s will, however they might’ve had to justify it. And they all lost themselves, too, in the process. This is all to say, I don’t think Komaeda was a “special case”. He, like everyone else, became someone that was utterly repulsive to his Chapter 4 self.
#nagito komaeda#komaeda lore#text#remnants of despair#misc lore#cool motive still despair. the only passive one was arguably kamukura.

For Everyone Who Wants to Join the Informed Patriot Peaceful Protest and Resistance Against Another donald j. trump Presidency, Here's How Easy It Is to End donald j. trump For At Least Another 4 Years, Tank His Net Worth, And Dump All of His Legal Nightmares, His 34-Felony Conviction Election Interference Sentencing and Possible Imprisonment, and Hundreds of Millions of Dollars in Fines and Ever-Accumulating Interest and Judgments Back on His Head.

donald j. trump is actively engaging in the federal crime of attempting to hold office while being an impeached and indicted insurrectionist. He has no path to the White House other than receiving 70 Democrat votes from the House of Representatives, and 17 Democrat votes from the Senate. It can't be 69 and 17, or 70 and 16; because Section 3 of the 14th Amendment requires a full two-thirds vote from each house to remove donald j. trump's insurrectionist disqualification to hold federal office. Chuck Schumer can easily force the Section 3 vote in the Senate; and if donald j. trump gets no Democrat votes in the Senate, then the House vote is unnecessary. If MAGA mike johnson refuses to allow a House vote, then that's an instant disqualification for insurrectionist donald j. trump.
Hakeem Jeffries Democratic Leader of the House of Representatives https://www.congress.gov/member/hakeem-jeffries/J000294 https://democraticleader.house.gov/contact
Chuck Schumer Democratic Leader of the Senate https://www.congress.gov/member/charles-schumer/S000148 https://www.schumer.senate.gov/contact/message-chuck
So why isn't this checkmate option being discussed far and wide at the moment? It just so happens that Jack Smith is in the process of releasing the evidence against donald j. trump and his classified documents Espionage Act violations at mar-a-lago. Also, American companies are already laying people off, firing them, advising employees there'll be no holiday bonuses or raises, and Americans are learning the hard truth about trump's insane tariff policies. On top of that, donald trump and his supporters are taking their masks off and revealing how bigoted and fascist they actually are toward all minorities and marginalized groups within the MAGA cult now that they've succeeded in manipulating them to vote for trump; and that's having an effect on people's interest in protesting or rioting should donald trump be disqualified from office for insurrection and tyranny. The MAGA cult is already in-fighting and imploding in the same ways the Romans and the Nazis did; because everyone in authoritarian and tyrannical power structures wants to be the right hand puppetmaster who controls the tyrant at the top, no one in those power structures ever tolerates not being the reigning Alpha of their group, or over all groups, and there's nothing those types of people won't do for more power and influence.
It's only been 5 days since the election, and Americans who voted for donald trump are already paying the price for voting for donald trump. That's just going to continue compounding and festering into a disgust for donald trump and his MAGA cult by the time Jack Smith's Espionage Act report reveals what a traitor donald trump actually is, and has been all along. Let all the American families who've already been decimated by donald trump from November 5th through Thanksgiving meet around the holiday table and discuss the truth about donald trump; and then schedule the Senate vote for December 11th, 2024. Once donald trump is disqualified, Kamala Harris can challenge donald trump's ability to be elected by the Electoral College during their December 17th, 2024 meeting. MAGA SCOTUS already clarified the President Elect would default to the other presidential candidate, not the insurrectionist's unelected Vice President candidate when they wrote this in their Anderson vs. trump "ruling": "The disruption would be all the more acute—and could nullify the votes of millions and change the election result—if Section 3 enforcement were attempted after the Nation has voted. Nothing in the Constitution requires that we endure such chaos—arriving at any time or different times, up to and perhaps beyond the Inauguration."
So how are the holidays looking for American patriots this year? Well, if Chuck Schumer and the Senate Democrats force a vote on removing donald j. trump's insurrectionist disqualification from holding federal office and trump gets zero Democrat support, at that moment, all of donald j. trump's legal and criminal nightmares consume his life once more, and per the Berger Test, MAGA SCOTUS can't help him, all of those hundreds of millions in judgments against him are immediately collectible and continue accruing interest again, donald trump's net worth is decimated, truth social stock nosedives into obliviion, and he gets sentenced and possibly imprisoned for his 2016 election interference felony convictions. In the midst of all of that, his precious MAGA SCOTUS can be immediately and permanently disbarred from ever judging or practicing law anywhere in the United States now or in the future. And then probably around a week after MAGA SCOTUS' immediate and permanent disbarment, the remaining three SCOTUS justices restore national Roe vs. Wade protections, and all of the trump abortion bans brutalizing women across the United States will finally come to an end. Shortly after Roe vs. Wade is restored as the law of the land, the United States will inaugurate and swear in the 47th President of the United States, Kamala Harris. Anyone who wants that joyus happy ending to the endless nightmare of the donald trump saga simply needs to contact Chuck Shumer and Hakeem Jeffries and explain why donald trump is in violation of federal law for being an insurrectionist attempting to hold office without first having his disqualification removed via a two-thirds vote of both houses of Congress.
Here's a form letter that'll be under 1980 characters no matter if you're contacting House Democratic Leader Jeffries or Senate Democratic Leader Schumer. Just copy and paste the text into the contact form. If these Democratic leaders receive hundreds of these messages from different IP/Internet addresses, we'll have their attention. If they receive thousands of these messages from different IP/Internet addresses, we might see this in the news. If they receive tens of thousands of these messages from different IP/Internet addresses, we might finally be free from the threat of another donald trump presidency (turnout is everything in this fight for our human and civil rights, freedoms, and literal survival as non-trump supporters and non-MAGA cult members).
Dear Democratic Leader Jeffries,
My family, loved ones, friends, and I are greatly concerned that Donald J. Trump and all of his MAGA allies, supporters, enablers, donors, and voters have what clearly appear to be genocidal intentions to all American non-Trump supporters and voters whom they call, "traitors, anti-American, enemies from within, very bad people, very dangerous people, racists, radicals, extremists, communists, Marxists, fascists, thugs, liars, sick, ugly, stupid, mindless, thoughtless, brainless, disabled, deranged, criminals, rapists, cheaters, sleazebags, low-lifes, scum, trash, genetically inferior, weak, poison, insects, animals, rats, snakes, and vermin" on a regular basis. As I'm sure that you and all elected Democrat representatives at every level across the United States are aware, Donald J. Trump was not granted permanent immunity from federal enforcement of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment in the SCOTUS ruling for Anderson vs. Trump on March 4, 2024; and the moment Donald J. Trump was declared the President Elect, he was committing the federal crime of attempting to hold office while being an impeached and indicted insurrectionist without first having that insurrectionist disqualification removed by a two-thirds vote of both houses of Congress. Donald J. Trump and his MAGA cult appear to intend to not only deport 15 million people, but to also engage in undeniable genocide and ethnic and cultural cleansing against half the population of the United States (using voter registration as a "vermin" purge mechanism). Thankfully, per the Supreme Court's own Berger Test to disqualify judges, Donald J. Trump's MAGA SCOTUS allies can never intervene on any of his legal cases again, so if you would please bring the matter of a two-thirds vote to the House of Representatives for an immediate vote by no later than December 11th, 2024, my fellow Americans and I would greatly appreciate it.
Respectully,
An American patriot

Avatar The Last Airbender
Sozin’s Comet, Part 4
As the two main characters, Katara and Aang’s series-long arcs come together in the finale as they face their enemies: Azula and Ozai.

Katara vs Azula:
After Azula broke the Agni Kai she made with Zuko, Katara was forced to fight her, dodging fire and lightning while hopelessly looking for any means to defeat the comet-powered firebender on her home turf.

Finally Katara baits Azula into approaching her close enough to freeze her over the drains. However, Azula moves to lightning bend Katara once more. In a split second, Katara bends the water and freezes both herself and Azula before the lightning sparks. Not only is this a testament to her speed, mobility and precision as a fighter, but it also shows how risky this move was as she was so close to being electrocuted and losing her life in an effort to subdue Azula.
[Azula is about to shoot lightning at her when Katara freezes them both with the water under the grate.] - Transcript:Sozin's Comet, Part 4: Avatar Aang
Aang vs Ozai:
Similarly, Aang has spent majority of the final battle running from Ozai as he tried to find a way to get close enough to him to take his bending away.

In the beginning, Aang gets the opportunity to take Ozai’s life by redirecting lightning, but chooses not to. Instead, Aang subjects himself to ~ 20 minutes of almost getting burnt alive just because he didn’t want to end Ozai.
A chance encounter with a rock physically unblocks Aang’s avatar state and he pins Ozai down before coming out of the avatar state on his own. Again, another opportunity where he could have ended Ozai but chooses not to. As Ozai berates Aang’s people for the last time, Aang holds him in place to take his bending away. There was absolutely no way he could’ve known for certain that this would work or that he could even do it successfully until he did it for the first time here.
[Aang remembering.] To bend another's energy, your own spirit must be unbendable or you will be corrupted and destroyed. - Transcript:Sozin's Comet, Part 4: Avatar Aang
To summarize, both Katara and Aang risked their own lives to spare the lives of their enemies. Just as Aang’s journey to the final battle builds up this moral dilemma of how he would end the war, so too, episodes like the Puppetmaster and the Southern Raiders introduce a similar theme for Katara where is she faced with the temptation of enacting extreme violence in the name of justice and vengeance.
In a show about child soldiers, the main theme I picked up from ATLA was “How does one win a war without losing oneself?” The protagonists, Katara and Aang, are both challenged with this at different points in the series and finally defeat the firelords of the nation that decimated their cultures without forsaking their personal beliefs and morals in the process.

I wonder to what degree Eyepatch Morty's unaddressed trauma and incredible skills were both working against him each time he got adopted by a new Rick
1. (supposing Mortys get a say at all on which Rick adopts them)

Did Eyepatch Morty avoid partnering with any Rick who appeared gentle, kind or loving (the likes of Cop Rick and Doofus Rick), fearing the same kind of evil as Puppetmaster Rick's "attachment" lurked behind any show of affection? Did he deliberately prefer partnering with Ricks with a high Morty turnover rate, who were unlikely to try keeping him prisoner forever...
...but who would also discard him without a second thought, thus cementing his belief that he would never be genuinely cared for by anyone?
2. Did his previous experience with Puppetmaster Rick made this look good to Eyepatch Morty:

Did he think "I can do this, I've been through worse", and chose to endure physical beatings in exchange of the promise of a family, however toxic said family was? Did he hope that compared to other "weaker" Mortys, who were unable to endure Evil Rick's abuse and would leave after a short amount of time, he'd seem more resilient and worthy and therefore Evil Rick would want to keep him?
...but in the end, Evil Rick still told him to leave. Eyepatch Morty was willing to withstand almost anything so he wouldn't be alone, but even that wasn't enough. Nothing would ever be enough.
3. Did him being more sharp, attentive, observant and all around more capable than the average Morty make him a more valuable sidekick in the eyes of the Rick of the week who'd adopt him? Did said Rick appreciate him for his skills and cherish this one-of-a-kind sidekick, if only for his usefulness?
...or would Rick's massive ego get bruised by having his scrawny stupid Morty one-up him repeatedly, come up with better ideas and all around outsmart him?

Would Eyepatch Morty find himself returned to the Morty Agency out of pettiness?
4. Did his above-mentioned honed skills aid Eyepatch Morty in surviving situations that would kill any other Morty?
(yayyy)
...resulting in him living long enough to be discarded four, five, ten, twenty times (what if those 27 Ricks he killed were all his past Ricks?) and therefore any positive interactions he ever had with anyone getting completely overshadowed by the sheer quantity of abuse, neglect and abandonment he got to live long enough to experience?
(Slick Morty broke after five Ricks, which was considered excessive... How many Ricks has Evil Morty been through to confidently say "Ricks don't care about Mortys"?)
5. Did Eyepatch Morty have behavioral problems before the moment he chose to attack Evil Rick? We have no idea what his home "normal" life was outside of Evil Rick, but it's likely his unaddressed trauma bled out in his everyday life. We've seen him be the picture of a perfect Morty while he was running for president, so we know he is capable of regulating his behavior (at least when he has a goal in mind) but its possible when he tried to just lead a normal life and have a family he wasn't regulating his own behavior quite so closely; especially if he wanted an actual relationship with people who would actually get to know him.
It's possible his rage, pain and coldness leached out in everyday life. Murdering innocents who happened to be even slightly in Rick's way during adventures without blinking an eye? Lashing out against bullies at school? Manipulating/disrespecting his (only temporary) family? Reacting to others' kindness with contempt, disdain and disbelief? Stealing weapons from Rick's garage? Spew nihilistic stuff in response to anything positive? Stare blankly at the wall instead of playing video games? Have violent meltdowns when hugged unexpectedly? Anything, really.
...His parents might be troubled by his behavior. His school might get involved. A visit to a therapist might be recommended by the school board, or child protective services might pay a visit to the Smith household. His parents might get worried, shaken up for good; the sudden worsening of their son's behavior being the wake-up call they needed to finally examine grandpa's effect on their child more closely. The door to Eyepatch Morty's healing might at long last be opening...
...But would the Rick of the week who had adopted him resolve to accommodate this one Morty's needs, to back off, to dedicate time and energy to be a point of stability in Morty's life, to nurse him back to (mental) health, or would he opt to return him to the Morty Agency in exchange of a different Morty, one who wouldn't beat up his classmates at school, who wouldn't act with enough aggression to trouble his parents, a more easily manageable one?
(and present a different Morty to the worried parents and proclaim him "cured"?)
6. We've seen even the cruelest Ricks having some sort of soft spot for Mortys... especially when said Morty is fun, cute, idealistic and smiling...
...while simultaneously acting condescending towards said Morty, of course.
...Did the bitterness, misery and exhaustion that seem to permeate Eyepatch Morty's most neutral expressions made him unlikeable to the average Rick? Did his nihilism and coldness repel any Ricks looking for a wide-eyed grandson to distract them from their own nihilism and coldness? Did Eyepatch Morty being unimpressed with Ricks' achievements, stone-faced at their jokes, unbothered by the dubious morality of their actions, strip away the appeal of their interactions?
Did Eyepatch Morty, specifically, get returned to the Morty Agency sooner than any other Morty, and get picked less often?

(I mean, he probably could have charmed any Rick he wanted so he could get adopted --like he charmed all of them to get elected president. The ease (and confidence!!) with which he manipulated Ricks signals that he has had a lot of practice in doing exactly that. But it's a lot harder to keep up the act forever. And, I can't help but think that he wanted a real connection to a grandfather, not a fabricated one purely for survival... otherwise he wouldn't have reacted with such anger when told to leave, it'd be just business as usual. I think he wanted Evil Rick to want to keep him, not to trick Evil Rick into keeping him.)
This is all speculation, of course, because we have no idea how Eyepatch Morty acted before he attacked Evil Rick. It's possible he was the perfect sidekick in every way (appearing pleasant, meek and dumb enough not to trigger anyone) and got discarded anyway, simply because Ricks are horrible jerks who treat everyone and everything as replaceable.
But if he was not so much inhumanely-perfect-actor-capable-of-putting-on-a-mask-for-indefinite-amounts-of-time and more realistically-traumatized-kid, I do wonder if both his accumulated trauma and his own brain's constant overdrive survival mode were actively working against him in every way possible in the toxic Rick & Morty dynamic, turning a boy that should have been the most capable and cherished grandson into one doomed to be neglected and discarded more than any other.

I love your stories, my favorite would be the Colletion of Overlords, but i have one question, did Alastor and Charlie made the deal in "Hello Rosie" like the show, if it did, did the Reader know? Also did The Reader knows about Adam, Lute, and Lilith, if so, how would they react if they meet The Reader? I can imagine Adam and Lute would be scared or concern,
I also have a question, Did Charlie and Alastor made the deal in "Hello Rosie"? If so, did the Reader know? Did Alastor and Charlie made the deal or not since we own the Overlords soul which mean also Alastor and not him with Lilith/Eve? How would Adam and Lute reactions to hear about The Reader watching everyone the whole time?
This is the other ask in the story and the one I asked to be sent in the ask box.
This is for {Collection of Overlords} , check MASTERLIST for the work
(best if you caught up with everything up to part 7 and the character designs)
A bit much to unpack, bear with me.
(1) Did Charlie and Alastor made the deal in "Hello Rosie"? If so, did the Reader know?
Yes. The deal was still made and Reader/you know about it since it happened in Hell (remember, you know everything that happens in Hell).
(2) Did Alastor and Charlie made the deal or not since we own the Overlords soul which mean also Alastor and not him with Lilith/Eve?
Deal's made and the owner of his soul in the show (we don't know who it is, so don't say it's with Lilith or Eve or anyone else here) is changed to you. The purpose of the favour would be changed to something else, more in the sense of Alastor finding you because you were still missing from Hell. His disappearance was to look for you here. He only reappeared because he thinks Charlie can be a tool to seek you out since she is royalty and you are the puppetmaster of the King and Queen (basically Hell).
Check back to Part 1.5, Alastor's breakdown is centered on you disowning him like you did with Husk since there was no way you didn't know about his battle with Adam and the shameful retreat. Another point was his action because of the deal that's made between him and Charlie. The Overlords tend to avoid association with the royal family because they were like your personal puppets. Remember back when Carmilla ignored Vaggie until she threatened to tell the secret? Carmilla let Vaggie in and listened because you gave the green light to help. But Alastor was never given one. So he's scared you'll be angered with his actions.
Now that relationships are more settled, I can change the lyrics
This place reeks of death There's a chill in the air And I barely escaped being killed by a hair "Great Alastor, altruist, died for that Princess' cause"?! Sorry to disappoint! I do not serve you royalty! I'm hungry for your presence, like never before The absence and silence of our deal surely will come to an end Once I figure out how to find My Liege and Saviour Guess who will be still be at your cries?!
After you meet Alastor (in part 1), Alastor tells you about the deal himself because he would rather be honest than wait for you to ask him about it. You don't say anything or punish him, you let him use the favour to his needs or wants.
(3) Did The Reader know about Adam, Lute, and Lilith?
This is a tricky question because the show never actually revealed what the deal was with those three. But it's implied to get Adam out of his commanding role and for Lute to be a higher-up. Because it's a beach in Heaven (somewhere), then you have no knowledge of it, your presence can't be in Heaven nor your eyes and ears. But here's the thing, this is Heaven, and Heaven is under Trick's eyes; Trick is your long-time friend and forever companion; they knows how much you care for your realm and will call in a little meet-up to tell you what happened. That's how you know.
(4) How would Adam and Lute reactions to hear about The Reader watching everyone the whole time?
I wonder if they'll care, honestly, cause you're only a big deal in Hell. Heaven doesn't even know you exist. Even during the time when you ruled Hell (so before Lucifer's fall), Heaven views Hell to be lawless and chaotic, no angel was sent down to check or anything so nothing about Hell was known. By extension, you as well. Why I say would they care if because they don't know what you do or can do. I think their reaction is just someone is stalking them and being nosy. (but your spying only extends to Hell and Earth)
(5) How would Adam, Lute, and Lilith react to meeting The Reader?
Now this is interesting.
Let's start with Lilith cause she's the one among the three that is from Hell and like Lucifer was trained by you to be Queen. We don't actually get her personality or even lines in the show, but I think she's at least more caring and attentive to Charlie? Because she calls Lilith even after Lilith is gone for like 7 years instead of Lucifer until when she really really needs it. So say that whatever Lilith's plan for leaving was for the good of Hell, she can't leave Hell to go to Heaven because you manage it and control entry and exit. Same goes for Trick when it's about Heaven.
So, for Lilith to leave, she has to have been granted permission by you. And that needs to be before your disappearance. I think she talked to you about the plan beforehand so you got the brief knowledge of what's to come. OR Lilith just left for whatever reason without permission and forced her way out of Hell to stay in Heaven. OR (now I'm more into this) Lilith is sent to Heaven as a spy for you. While you have Trick to tell you stuff, you can't exactly rely on them to tell you everything.
Either way, I think Lilith would still be respectful but fearful of you cause of your power. I'm of the opinion that she has no holy powers to threaten you in any way like Lucifer does. She was only human before the fall anyways.
Adam and Lute, this needs to be under the assumption that they know who and what you are. Like they know you're at the top of Hell like there's a top of Heaven. Adam would try to play it cool and joke around so as not to anger you or get you to act. I think there's a little ask where I said you have a hate relationship with Charlie's idea of redeeming souls, so I see Adam trying to convince you that it's a ridiculous idea as well. Lute would be more cautious with you, if you're as powerful as you are, she is no match against you. She'd try to be as respectful as she can when she's in your presence, it's not that she actually respects you, but it's more like she fears your capabilities. You have all of Hell under your command if you wanted, so if you had wanted a war, Heaven doesn't actually stand a chance now that angels can die with their own angelic steel.

Light of the Force
Chapter 5/7 - Old Friends
Summary: Anakin speaks with Obi-Wan.
Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3 | Chapter 4 | Chapter 5 | Chapter 6 | Chapter 7
“Hello, old friend,” Obi-Wan said with a twinkle in his eye. His former Master and mentor retained his appearance at the time of his death at Anakin's hand. He looked like the gentle, elderly uncle who had watched over Luke from afar instead of the great Jedi warrior he had once been. But it dawned on Anakin that Obi-Wan had never really wanted a life of fighting; the irony was, he was very good at it, but he'd always longed for peace.
They were in a place that held grim memories for them both, but the searing lava and scorching volcanic rock of Mustafar couldn't hurt either of them now. Anakin knew he had to face this place and face Obi-Wan before he could move on.
“I take it you're not angry with me for killing you?” Anakin said, falling into their old banter because he didn't know how else to dodge around the Bantha in the speeder.
“I take it you're not angry with me for chopping off three of your limbs and leaving you to burn?” Obi-Wan responded, almost blithely, but there was a seriousness beneath those twinkling blue eyes that Anakin recognized after years of knowing him.
“Well, maybe a little…” Anakin admitted. “Though I can't say I didn't have it coming,” he added with a grimace.
“Oh Anakin, if only things had turned out differently.” Anakin knew Obi-Wan had long ago accepted how their fates had played out, but the pain and regret in his friend's voice was still evident.
Anakin looked over the fiery landscape in front of them. “They could have, if I had made better decisions.” He only had himself to blame. It was true that the shadow known as Senator Palpatine, the Emperor, and Darth Sidious had manipulated him his entire life, but in the end, Anakin had chosen to do the things he did. It was his decisions that had led him to become Darth Vader, cold and callous and cruel on the outside while his heart and mind and body never stopped burning from Mustafar’s flames.
“I wish with all my heart I had been there when you turned to the Dark Side,” Obi-Wan said, “but Palpatine played us all for fools.”
“I won't argue with you there,” Anakin replied. Sidious was the ultimate puppetmaster who had manipulated them all masterfully. How good it had felt to take back control of his fate and save his son. For the puppet to grab ahold of his strings at long last and cut them, one by one.
A smile twitched at Obi-Wan's lips. “That may be the first time you've ever told me that.”
"But it won't be the last,” Anakin promised.
“I could get used to this,” Obi-Wan mused, eyes dancing as he rubbed his chin in a playful imitation of deep thought.
But Anakin grew serious once more, not quite ready to switch over completely to light banter. “I'm sorry for killing you, Obi-Wan. Imagine if I'd returned to the light then instead. We could've trained Luke and Leia together.”
Obi-Wan pressed a hand on his shoulder. “I had a good life, Anakin, and I am at peace. It was my time to die, and I always knew deep down you would be there for my death. Of course, I didn't always imagine you would be the one to do it, but in the end, it felt like my penance for leaving you to burn.”
“Still, I shouldn't have done it.” He wouldn't let Obi-Wan make excuses for him. He’d killed Obi-Wan out of anger and a desire for revenge, not because it was somehow the right thing to do.
“Ah, but what you meant for evil the Force used for good. My death made me far more powerful than I could ever have been in life. And you did the right thing in the end, Anakin. Padmé and Luke were right about you. You killed the Emperor and saved your son at the cost of your own life, and in doing so, you brought balance to the Force, just as the prophecy foretold.”
“If only I had done it much sooner.” Then he and Padmé could've raised Luke and Leia together, he and Obi-Wan would've still been friends, no, brothers—
Obi-Wan shook his head. “What has been done cannot be undone, but we can move forward together. And, when the time is right, you must forgive yourself, as I already have. But my part is only half of the equation.”
Anakin’s perception of Obi-Wan shifted, changed; the man who had been his brother was before him again, young and radiant like his mother had been. Like all the worries and cares of Obi-Wan’s hard life had melted away. Perhaps Obi-Wan had been waiting for Anakin's forgiveness as much as Anakin had been waiting for Obi-wan’s.
He smiled and glanced beyond Anakin. “Now, there is something we must train you to do, something that my master showed to me.”
“We?” Anakin’s brow furrowed, and then he turned around. “Master Qui-Gon?”
Sure enough, the kind, wise man from Anakin's childhood was there, just as Anakin remembered him. His shoulder-length hair and beard gave him a certain gravitas, and he was dressed in simple Jedi robes.
“It's been a long time, Anakin,” he replied, sounding as proud as a father.
A lump built in Anakin's throat. How different things would've been for both him and Obi-Wan if Qui-Gon Jinn had lived. But he was here now, and that was what counted. And here was no longer the fiery depths of Mustafar, but the peaceful landscape of Qui-Gon’s home world. They were standing near the River of Light, a place strong with the Light Side of the Force. Anakin recognized the dark stones in the river with veins of deep red that shone through when the light hit them just right. The stones were Force sensitive, and Qui-Gon had given Obi-Wan a stone he had plucked from the river years ago, and Obi-Wan had in turn given it to Anakin.
“What are you doing here?” Anakin asked. “Or maybe I should ask, what am I doing here?”
“Would you like your son and daughter to be able to see you?” Qui-Gon said. “Would you like to speak with your children?”
Anakin's eyes went wide. “Is that possible?” The Sith had a way of doing it, but it was deeply selfish and malevolent, and he knew he couldn't draw on that power. But if the Jedi had a way of doing it, a selfless way, a benevolent way, then that was the answer to his question. How he would do what Owen and Beru and Bail and Breha had asked of him. And so much more. Imagine what he could do if he could communicate with Luke and Leia, all the good he could accomplish—
Another figure joined them, small and green and with very sensitive, pointy ears. “The Light Side of the force, many abilities it has that the Dark Side, understand, does not.”
Anakin bowed deeply. “Master Yoda, Master Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, please show me how to use this ability. I want to help Luke and Leia. Show me how to help my children.”
This would be how he would atone. He had done what he could for those already dead, but to assist the living who remained behind…that would be his legacy.
The three of them smiled. “A noble reason, this is, for learning this ability,” Yoda replied. “Come, let us teach him.”

A/N: This story is dedicated to my friend @scoobysnack1107 ❤️ Liv really loves Anakin, especially Anakin being a dad, so I wrote this for her birthday last week exploring his character further.
I am indebted to the moving Revenge of the Sith novelization by Matthew Stover as well as the excellent Return of the Jedi novelization by James Kahn to inform character voices, world descriptions, etc.
Also, a big thank you to my sister for reading over this story 🙏 She gave me some good feedback, and it was a lot of fun working with her ❤️
A big thank you to the people who liked and reblogged the story ❤️ Sorry for the delay on posting here, the entire story is on AO3 if you want to read the rest now 👀 This chapter was a lot of fun to write because I really enjoyed writing Obi-Wan’s interactions with Anakin, and I also really enjoyed writing the final two chapters! I'll upload those to tumblr soon.
See you next time!

Cassandra Cutscene: Low Approval
A Toast to You
Cassandra Masterpost
The PC finds Cassandra lying on the ground with a bottle in hand
Cassandra: Ah. Here comes the hero of our age.
Cassandra (sided mages): Mighty tamer of the dreaded mage rebellion! Cassandra (sided templars): Mighty tamer of the Order of Templars!
If WEWH completed Cassandra (Celene rules/public truce): Savior of Empress Celene! Champion of all Orlais! Cassandra (Gaspard rules alone): Friend to Emperor Gaspard! Champion of all Orlais! Cassandra (Gaspard and Briala rule): Puppetmaster of the new emperor! Champion of all Orlais!
Cassandra: Once lowly prisoner, now the fabled Herald of Andraste! A toast to you, my [lord/lady].
Dialogue options:
Angry: A pathetic display. [1] -Cassandra greatly disapproves
Surprised: You’re drunk! [2]
Confused: You’re angry at me? [3]
Stoic: What’s wrong now? [4] -Cassandra disapproves
1 - Angry: A pathetic display. PC: Sitting in a dark corner. Drinking. Cassandra: Yes! What of it! PC: It’s pathetic.
2 - Surprised: You’re drunk! PC: You’re drunk? That’s a new one. Cassandra: Yes, we’re all changing, aren’t we? Everything’s changing. PC: And that makes you… unhappy?
3 - Confused: You’re angry at me? PC: You’re angry at me? Is that what this is about? Cassandra: Naturally. Isn’t everything about you? PC: What have you got to be angry about?
4 - Stoic: What’s wrong now? PC: Oh, what is it now? Cassandra: It is now what it always is. PC: That makes no sense.
5 - Scene continues.
Cassandra: You!
She stands and points at the PC while staggering.
Cassandra (post-The Ideal Romance): How could I think you loved me? You, of all men? Cassandra (romanced, not completed The Ideal Romance): “I can be that man.” Did you even believe the words as you said them?
Cassandra: Coddling the mages, encouraging them as if they didn’t almost cost us everything. Cassandra: Coddling the templars, as if they weren’t complicit in their own corruption.
Cassandra (completed WEWH with high court approval): You played the damned “Game” Orlesians love so much, mincing around like the rest of them.
Cassandra: I have watched you, even exalted you as you straddled the world. And I am the one who raised you up.
Dialogue options:
General: We don’t need you. [6] -Cassandra greatly disapproves
General (PC did not claim to be chosen): I didn’t ask for this. [7]
General (PC claimed chosen): The Maker chose me, not you. [8] -Cassandra disapproves
General: I’m doing my best. [9] +Cassandra slightly approves
General: Yes, you did. [10]
6 - General: We don’t need you. PC: Then go. The Inquisition doesn’t need you. Cassandra: How clear you make it. [11]
7 - General: I didn’t ask for this. PC: You speak as though I asked for any of this. Cassandra: Clearly you are innocent of all that followed. [11]
8 - General: The Maker chose me, not you. PC: You didn’t raise me up—the Maker did. Cassandra: Praise the Maker and His infinite wisdom. [11] Cassandra (non-Andrastian PC): Says the nonbeliever. [11]
9 - General: I’m doing my best. PC: I’m doing the best I can, Cassandra. “What needs to be done,” remember? Cassandra: I do remember. [11]
10 - General: Yes, you did. PC: “Wherever you lead us,” remember? Cassandra: I do remember. [11]
11 - Scene continues.
She throws the bottle.
Cassandra: I have been such a fool. Cassandra: Corypheus still lives. My work is not yet done.
Cassandra: Leave me be, Inquisitor. Go, do what you must.
Speaking again after, if previously romanced. Cassandra: I trust that we will return to business, Inquisitor? I think that would be best.

Here it is —after much deliberation and thought, the 2024 prompts!
This link will take you to the AO3 Proship April 2024 collection.
Day 9 Image Prompt | Day 17 Image Prompt | Day 27 Image Prompt

Each day has a primary and a secondary prompt. The primary ones are going to be broader, and the secondary ones are more specific ideas, phrases, or even dialogue.
Don't have the time, energy, or desire to complete a prompt per day? No problem! Click here to generate a 4x4 bingo card that you can complete (or pick through) at your leisure. Additionally, there is an SFW option for the bingo card.
If you see a word that you don't recognize, don't worry! There is a text-version of this prompt list beneath the keep reading link, and those words are linked to Wikipedia articles with the explanation. And, of course, you can always use our ask box for any further clarification.
Prompts can be applied as strictly or as loosely as you like. "Cursed" can mean that a character in your baking fic burns something and bemoans being 'cursed' with bad luck, or it can refer to fanart based off of an episode titled 'Cursed,' or it can be a F/O scenario in which your F/O goes to great lengths to undo your curse... You all you get the idea, I'm sure.
That's basically the basics! If you have a question that's not answered here, don't hesitate to ask. Other than that, happy planning and I hope to see you all in April!
What is Proship April? Click here for more information!
Keep reading for a text-list of the prompts.

In Defense of Katara
Update: The views expressed on Aang in this post are majorly dated.
Katara has been..
a controversial character. Particularly for the following reasons.
Supposedly talking about her mother "all the time", bringing it up out of context, making it all about herself and lashing out about it.
But before properly analyzing her character, let's first actually list off all the episodes where Katara has mentioned her mother (also in video form):
The Boy in the Iceberg:
Mentions her mother to confront Sokka about being lazy, establishing the family dynamic after her death and generally setting up her character arc.
The Southern Air Temple:
Firstly mentions her mother to prepare Aang to discovering a "potential" loss when getting back home. Then again to show empathy to Aang by showing that she somewhat understands what he's feeling.
Imprisoned:
Brings up Kya to connect with Haru about similar losses. It's also brought up again by Haru when her mother's necklace disappears.
The Waterbending Scroll:
Didn't mention her mother, just the necklace. Since Zuko showed her the necklace, which was lost.
Jet:
Mentions Kya to connect with Jet who also lost his parents to the Fire Nation.
The Waterbending Master:
Once again, she only mentions the necklace. And only because Pakku notices it himself.
The Swamp:
The swamp makes her hallucinate about her mother. It was fully outside of her control.
The Crossroads of the Destiny:
Brings up her mother's death once she got a chance to have a conversation with Zuko, who was her enemy and for all she knew, represented the nation who killed her mother.
The Headband:
It is brought up by Aang. He tells Katara that people could recognize her necklace for being Water Tribe while hiding in the Fire Nation.
The Puppetmaster:
Katara connects with Hamma over being from Southern Water Tribe and being hurt by the Fire Nation.
The Southern Raiders:
This entire episode focuses on Kya. She mentions her 5 times total. (Worth noting that Zuko brought it up in the first place).
It is also brought up in The Runaway by Sokka, and in Sozin’s Comet Part 4: Avatar Aang by Hakoda.
To sum up: Katara brings up her mother in a total of 11 episodes. 1 to establish the tragedy, 1 to comfrot Aang, 1 was outside of her control, 1 to confront the Fire Nation prince, 3 to connect with someone with similar experience of loss, and 4 times it's just about the necklace.
The claim that Katara brings up her mother "all the time" and out of context is entirely baseless. But I know what you're thinking:
Yeah it's bad. Really bad. But Katara is a 14 year old, dealing with grief. By no means this is an okay thing to say. But let's dive deeper – how her mother's death effected her, the dynamics it created and if there is any truth to what she's saying.
Katara has always been the care giver, the one who'll notice when you're in need, giving seemingly unconditional emotional support. Even prioritizing other's well being over her own. In The Deserter, Aang acted careless, using his firebendering to accidentally injure Katara. Unsuprisigly, Aang feels terrible about hurting her. He is confronted about it not by Katara, but by Sokka. Meanwhile Katara heals her own scar. And in the end, she's the one comforting guilty Aang.
Another instance is The Desert. The Gaang was stuck without Appa, with little to no supplies, in the middle of a desert. They're all hungry, exhausted and unsure of what's to come. Katara shows incredible resilience and empathy – she offers her bending water to everyone, but isn't show to drink any herself. And her response to Aang's outburst after semi failinh to get water from a cloud.
Katara: Wow, there's hardly any in here..
Aang: I'm sorry, okay?! It's a desert cloud! I did all I could! What's anyone else doing?! *Points at Katara* What are you doing?
Katara: Trying to keep everyone together. Let's just get moving. We need to head this direction.
In the end of the episode, Aang finds the sendbenders who stole Appa. He gets in the Avatar state, and while all the other characters run away, Katara stays, she hugs him in an uncontrollable rage. Want to hear something interesting? We don't see the characters express gratitude to her efforts. Even in the next episode she helps strangers give birth.
Instead of resolving her trauma, Katara internalized it. She became "the mother". She is the reason Sokka doesn't bring up his mother. I'd like to add a quote from Sokka in The Runaway:
"I'm gonna tell you something crazy. I never told anyone this before, but honestly, I'm not sure I can remember what my mother looked like. It really seems like my whole life, Katara has been the one looking out for me. She's always been the one that's there".
This is the closest we got to giving Katara the much needed support. Their grief is not the same.
Same goes for Aang's grief. Yes, he lost his entire nation. While Katara's grief molded her character, Aang's grief is only brought up when used in context. It's only brought up explicitly 3 times: In The Southern Air Temple, while finding out what happened for the first time; in The Storm for giving us his backstory and in The Guru when he has focus on his grief. It's also used to create another layer of tension 3 other times (The Northen Air Temple, The Desert and The Serpent's Pass). In every time it's brought up, it's linked to the overall plot/subplot in some way. It isn't something that is shown to change who he is as a person.
Katara on the other hand, took on the mother role in the age of eight, fundamentally changing who she is. She is used to swallowing her pain, to suck it up because others need help. Only showing weekness when alone, when no one from the Gaang is looking.
Almost everything about her is somehow linked to Kya. She cooks, she she sews, she gives orders – like a mother. A quote from The Runaway:
Katara: What do you think, Aang? Do I act like a mom?
Aang: Well, I-
Katara (intensively): Stop rudding your eye and speak clearly when you talk.
Aang: Yes ma'am!
That's her canonical love intereat what? So casually, it's about Kya. The trauma they all experienced is semi the same, but the impact was completely different. Katara's experience of grief is fundamentally different from Sokka's and Aang's and never had a proper closure.
Until The Southern Raiders. Katara has a chance to finally express all of this pent up trauma. You might not think it's healthy, or sympathetic, but now it's Katara's grief that is on full display. But Aang and Sokka weren't understanding. They suggest her to go right back to what she has been doing for years. Aang even compares her loss to losing Appa and tells her she sound like Jet. And in a moment of humanity, weekness and frustration, Katara lashes out.
#oh my god#I'm done#also don't get me started on the fact that katara also feels guilty of her mother's death#because she died instead of her#okay that's it#I swear#katara deserved better#katara deserves better#katara defense#in defense of katara#anti kataang#katara of the southern water tribe#the southern raiders#water tribe#atla katara#atla#avatar#avatar the last airbender#avatar katara#Avatar the last airbender katara#katara#avatar aang#katara meta#katara analysis#media analysis#analysis#atla meta#avatar the last airbender meta#atla analysis#katara my beloved

kevs?
additional notes in varying order of importance
- idk yet how i want the white accents to show up so it changes every time. is he redhood or not? none of my business yet
- eule-vos as a revan sort of functions as a morally chained and regulated version of whatever was going on with the revan anecdotes in kotor 2. he's still a win-at-all-costs type of guy. he'll still look at people in terms of what they can do to further his goals. he's the butcher on a leash. he's toeing the line for now because bastila and carth get weird when he doesn't but he'll also swan dive past it once they are out of line of sight.
- so ig, like, the butcher on a leash but he can step out of it whenever. he just doesn't want you getting nervous because that will be a whole nother issue to handle. he can heel just fine alright
- its like 1 am and i'm thinking about that post compilation that's like. guard/attack dog metaphors applied to people. or like how the devotion between an attack dog and the one holding its leash is as tenuous, sometimes, as the leash itself i don't know man whatever that's about. eule has shades of that. i think it's hard for any revan to not be a little unnerving on this front
- smth smth hk voice to give the illusion of control until the end comes or smth you know? like master like droid is all i am saying
- if, to solve a problem, a guy has to die - but he's with someone he values and who would disapprove of an outright murder - eule isn't above puppetmastering a circumstantial rube-goldberg execution machine yk. like, after a point does culpability even lead back to you? not really right? it's okay he will make it happen don't worry he can work within your moral constraints. you don't have to feel bad about it and you especially won't if you don't know
- (with all this in mind, outings with hk and canderous are also great times to cut loose a little)
- i don't think he struggles to love per se so much as i think that he can't do it conventionally it's always going to be built with an undertone of implacable duty or something like pity. and if he loves you he'll do it to death, only it won't be his and it might be yours. no single person is worth letting the galaxy fall, not to him
- everyone who has taken darth revan ever and smushed them together with the entire concept of having loved rome more... genius
- as is par for the course he is not a romancer he is barely a crusher alright the only remotely similar thing he's ever felt was for yuthura ban for about .4 minutes and looking back it might have just been that she's amiable and understands the shedding of morality for a goal but also, like, she's really purple and that's super eye catching (read: kev eule-vos is my walking excuse to never not bring up yuthura ban)
#i just took some ibuprofennnn#with a best by date of 20155555 (thats me stretching out the word not naming a year eons into the future)#kotor#kheannes eule vos#i am just a little sleepy and thinking about the nature of revans. there are so many flavors of revan they are all so cool
