Extended postal abbreviations for North America and some adjacent states and territories

I recently came into possession of a list of postal abbreviations used by the North American Postal Union in the year 2064 for delivering physical mail in the countries and territories it is responsible for. This system takes advantage of the fact that there is no overlap between American and Canadian postal abbreviations, and extends that list with several new additions, principally covering Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and various dependent territories--both of other countries, whose territories happen to lie in North America, and of North American states, who happen to have possessions elsewhere.

I have realized I know basically nothing about Poseidon. I don't have any inclination to worship him but I was shocked with how little I knew. I had no clue how connected to horses he was or how "old" he possibly is, nor his connections to Desponia or Peloponenese. [Disclaimer: I have not read all the sources]

Abstract: Generally Poseidon is regarded as the Greek sea god; however, besides his maritime attribute, he seems to have closely associated with fresh water. As the myth of Amymone indicates, Poseidon produced springs which formed the Lerna River; in addition, Amymone is concerned with water as the river and springs of her name imply. And as the myth of the Alban Lake suggests, Neptunus, the Roman equivalent of Poseidon, is also closely associated with fresh water. The etymology of Neptunus is interpreted as 'Nephew of Water'. The etymology of Poseidon also indicates that Poseidon seems to be concerned with warer; the *da-component of Poseidon is explained as proto-1-E 'fowing water'. In eastern and central Europe, major river names such as the Don, the Dnieper, the Doniester, and the Donau have the * da- component. These features imply that the etymology of Poseidon can be interpreted as 'Husband of Waters' indicating Poseidon as a fertility god, and similarly his seismic attribute is related with water (earth water'). The Indo-European sky god Zeus is also associated with water sending the rain to fertilize the earth, which indicates that Zeus and Poseidon share the same role as a fertility spirit. Originally Poseidon was the Indo-European water god associated with fertility, and Poseidon seems to have acquired his maritime aspect in Greece. Thirdly, I examine the archaeological material related to eating and dining and its potential connection to the demarcation between sacred and profane activities and between sacralised and profane space in the sanctuary, with special interpretative attention to the significance of border(s) and boundaries. Drawing attention to these issues may help us understand the dynamics and interplay between 'official' and 'private' aspects of ancient Greek religion, within both the tradition of the scholarship of ancient Greek religion and the so-called 'archaeology of cult'.

Hi first off this blog is awesome and I think this is such a cool idea. Secondly we just found out about a new subsystem of fragments and we need some help with their names and such.

It’s a Kpop/Idol group each one based on different colours of the rainbow. (Including light and dark of each colour) would it be okay to ask this all in the one ask or would you prefer separate asks for each? They’re still undecided on gender so any for names and pronouns would be fine.

Arty groaned,annoyed. He stood up,and walked out.

"is that...walking spaghetti?" Arty stared. It was...weird. Arty took a breath, and began following the 'crowd'.

A slime person seemed to notice Arty. "H3llow.." The slime person spoke,but it was quiet,and sounded like they were suffocated.

"H-hello...who are you?- and...are you okay?-" He asked, concerned about their voice.They gave a thumbs up.

"...Gloo...py."

"Gloopy? That teeth guy named me Arty." Arty gave a cringed face. Gloopy silently laughed.

"SUPERSTARS! WE HAVE A NEW MEMBER ADDED TO OUR CIRCUS!!! Introduce yourself Arty!" Caine made the place dark,and placed a light on Arty.

"I-... I'm Arty...I camr here last night..?" Arty awkwardly spoke up. Luckily everything was turned back to normal once he spoke his name.

"Nice to meet you!" A gameboy character spoke out. He seemed nice.

"Oh cool- he looks like Gamey." The spaghetti guy spoke, eventually zoning out. "Wait... WHO'S THAT?!" The chess piece yelled...he seemed...weird.

"BOOOOO!" The Shadow guy yelled, laughing. The gameboy dude rolled his eyes. "I'm Gamey!" The gameboy guy walked up to Arty, happily.

"Well...since there's a new member, we'll do a in-house adventure! Good luck!" ... Caine didn't even explain the adventure-???

"I'll uh... show you around." Gamey kindly began to walk somewhere. Arty followed.

"Well it's up to us now." Shadow laughed.

".. I'm gonna go with them." Noah finally spoke, walking after Arty and Gamey. "Well he's boring. We have each other though, right?" Shadow cockingly looked at the group.

"I'm going in my ro-" Gloopy was going to say but...Shadow grabbed the group and threw them in a random hole he saw,and jumped in himself afterwards.

You asked for billford prompts. Could i request something of them meeting while ford is on the run in the multiverse? Maybe them meeting while bill is possessing someone and ford doesnt realize at first that its him.

So here Bill was, minding his own business, actually doing something good for once (he knows, lame, right?) and of course Stanford “dreamboat” Pines had to show up and ruin his fun the one time Bill didn’t want his Fordsy around.

See, how it started was Py and the guys told him they were ‘worried’ and ‘concerned’ and ‘wanted to know if he was okay’ and all that performative stuff. Apparently he hadn’t come out in weeks and that they thought his feelings towards his Fordsy had gotten a little ‘obsessive.’ He’d tried telling them the obvious that obsession was beneath him like all mortal emotions but they wouldn’t budge. An ‘intervention’ they called it.

So, he promised that he’d do something different, go outside and set his mind to something else.

But what to do? Bill’s restless at the best of times so it was a difficult choice. While considering his options he got (very rudely) snared by a band of rampant energy. He ripped the offending thing off of him, snarling, before being struck with an appealing idea.

See, when dimensions explode violently and into pretty fireworks, some of the energy holding them together gets spaghettified into long strands of unbridled force that ping across the multiverse like a snapped rubber band, destroying everything in their path. This is, of course, hilarious, except for when they hit him. Unfortunately, due to his current preference for the physical plane, and the staggering size of the Nightmare Realm, they tend to hit him a lot.

Thankfully, it's little more than time consuming to beat these strands into submission. In a process not too dissimilar to human weaving (although he’d never admit the similarities) he can wrangle the energy into a more useful and less (fun) volatile form.

All this to say, he was removing a minor nuisance in his own self interest, and if it happened to also make the multiverse safer and happier, well Bill would just have to deal with it. After all, he could make the multiverse plenty unsafe and unhappy on his own terms later.

The form he chooses is not one he’s been in in a while. It is long and serpentine, with hundreds of thousands of short, stubby legs, harkening back to the human notion of a millipede. Although he came first, of course. The only resemblance to his more snazzy form is a transparent triangular mask hovering over his front end.

Using longer arms not directly connected to his main body, he pulls out and sets up his loom.

Certain foolish amphibians and seven-eyed brats would not think he’d the patience for such a task. Bill thinks they should try shutting their mouths before they talk about something they don't understand.

Rolling his eye, Bill had set to work.

Now, back in the present, he finds himself staring down at the very human he’d been trying to take his mind off of. Great.

It's not particularly a surprise-- he’d known it would happen like he knows that in 15 years the human will almost be the death of him. Hard to surprise an all-knowing being, you know? --but it's a nuisance all the same.

Ford, for his part, doesn’t seem to have the good sense to notice his annoyance and run away pleading for his life. This does not surprise him.

What does, is the fact that Fordsy doesn’t seem to even realize it's him, either.

It's almost insulting. What kind of devotee doesn’t recognize when his God is standing right in front of him? It is, of course, a simple thing, that Bill can’t possibly fault him for (not that he won't try). He simply figures Fordsy didn't spend enough time with him on the upper planes to recognize him on feel alone. So be it, he’s not too heartbroken about losing that future. Especially since Ford’s awed expression promises that this route will be fun too.

“Hello there.” Bill says to him, making sure he doesn’t sound too much like himself. Wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise too early!

And then Fordsy goes the most adorable shade of pink at being noticed by something so otherworldly, and Bill decides right then that maybe he doesn’t ever want Ford to learn the truth.
