1" X 1" X 11ga A Hundred And Twenty" Steel Sq Tube A500
This determination alone results in a spread of ensuing mechanical properties, including hardness itself. Material scientists know that hardness has a linear relationship to UTS. Likewise, tube producers know that the MYS and UTS are associated. Steel Pipes for Africa Westrand has the proper individuals in place, who are respected for their capability, commitment and data. Pipe is rigid and cannot be formed with out particular gear. With the exception of copper and brass, tubes may be formed with some effort. Therefore, it's important to know the capacity and tolerance of the pipe. Recognizing those factors is important as a result of it directly relates to wall thickness. Calculating the wall thickness helps decide the energy of that steel pipe or tube. The strength of every steel pipe or tube pertains to its use. General rule of thumb for exterior purposes within 4kms of the shoreline use only grade 316 or grade 444 is suitable. Round tube is out there in a large selection of diameters and wall thickness choices. Our Mild Steel tube is manufactured to the highest requirements and it's straightforward to cut, drill or weld and may be painted or galvanised after fabrication to extend corrosion resistance. Square tube is on the market in a large number of diameters and wall thickness options. We not only present an in depth range of steel merchandise. Tubes for automotive applications From rotor shafts for electromobility to belt tensioners and stabilizers, use our materials and manufacturing experience to your advantage. The merchandise listed are indicative of the vary nevertheless you want to check along with your local Orrcon Steel / Metalcorp consultant for availability & minimum order quantities (MOQ’s). We also inventory quite a few Square Steel Tubing sizes, ASTM A500 Grade A within this spec is reserved for non-structural elements. For further customization for your job, we now have our 4 axis laser tube cutter which cuts a number of holes on tubes of different sections, in a totally programmed computerized cycle. The maximum length of the tubes is meters, depending on the scale. Longer or cut-to-length tubes are available upon request. Tubing is coated with a non-tacky rust preventative that is designed to withstand corrosion for at least three months when stored in normal, dry warehouse conditions. The tube could be welded without removing of the rust preventative. A stable bar of steel is incredibly sturdy but also very heavy. The round shape of the pipe makes the stress force evenly distributed. Pipes accommodate bigger applications with sizes that range from a ½ inch to several feet. Tubing is mostly utilized in applications where smaller diameters are required. Steel tubing can be made from varied uncooked supplies, like iron, carbon, manganese, vanadium, and zirconium. Like pipe, tubing may be produced as both seamless or welded. flow tube When determining the scale, it’s necessary to remember that pipes are calculated by inside diameter. Alibaba.com provides distinct variants of the products over a variety of steel tube that may help you save money on the acquisition. You can even request OEM and ODM orders along with the option of going for personalized packaging and customized logos on the products. Whether it’s for passenger automobiles, commercial automobiles or racing automobiles, we develop and produce welded and welded drawn precision steel tubes for you. For the best demands, for instance in passenger safety. In some instances the terms could also be used interchangeably, however there's one key difference between tube and pipe, particularly in how the fabric is ordered and toleranced. Tubes are utilized in functions such as medical units that require a precise exterior diameter. Pipes are used for transporting gasses or liquids making it necessary to know the capability. The circular shape of the pipe makes it environment friendly when dealing with strain from the liquid flowing through. Telescoping tubes are good for applications completely different pieces of material to sleeve or expand inside each other. The truth is that forming steel plate right into a hole round or square tube makes it fairly a bit stronger to torsion and bending while also being lighter weight than an analogous piece of strong steel. Sure, you might be tempted to call it pipe, but pipe is for containing fluids and gases, and strong is not almost as robust as actual structural tube because of chemical and manufacturing variations. Tubing is measured by its outside diameter and wall thickness. Pipe makes use of a nominal OD incorporating its schedule or thickness and is usually measured from the within diameter because the inside dimensions are essential to pipes' perform.

the way you make tea is CRIMINAL to him.
“What are you doing?” Simon asked, startling you and causing you to lightly tip over your mug of lukewarm water. “Jesus, Simon,” you gasped, “I’m making some tea.” He did a double take as he examined the mug in your hand and the partially opened microwave.“You have the microwave open?” “Yeah to heat the water,” you responded as if he was asking a rudimentary question. At that moment, Simon could’ve had a heart attack. He quickly went over to you and dumped the water into a stovetop kettle. You crossed your arms over your chest, wondering what had gotten into your boyfriend. To your curiosity, you watched as he heated it until the kettle whistled. He poured it gently into your mug and placed a tea bag in it. “Here,” he said as he handed it to you, “that’s how you make tea.” “I don’t see the difference,” you mumbled before gingerly sipping on your tea and giving him a quick kiss.
He entertains the amazement you have when you see something that you swore was only distinctly “American.”
“You have hot dogs here?” you practically shouted seeing a stand with your favorite mystery meat. He looked at you bewildered as you stopped to stare at the stand. It was autumn and the leaves colorful leaves lay perfectly around the stand. "It's beautiful," you whispered as the sunset illuminated the bright red hotdog meat on the plastic sign. "It's a hot dog stand." Simon replied flatly, "You make it seem like it's the second coming or something." You shot a look back at him as your stomach slightly grumbled. Before you could say anything, Simon pulled you along with your hand firmly placed in his. "We're having dinner at Price's," he reminded as you pouted at his brisk pace. "But Simon," you began to plead before he cut you off. "It's the same thing you get back into America," he informed and you nodded at the commonality of the stand, "probably a little better though."
When you’re in public, he’ll be sure to let you know if you’re talking too loud.
"AND THEN" you practically yelled as you walked around the grocer's. Simon gave a death glare to the stares that met your loud mouth. "Mind just lowering your voice a little, love?" he asked politely as he continued to push the cart down the aisles. "Sorry," you sheepishly replied, "just used to everyone being deaf back at home." You sighed, missing the loud, noisy streets of your hometown and the boisterous laughter and comments from your friends. You just naturally spoke in a louder tone to compensate for it. "It's alright," he comforted, "people here can barely speak over a whisper." You shared a laugh as you continued your conversation without care. You could feel your homesickness temporarily wash away in the moment. It also helped that Simon met any judgmental eyes with a look of absolute menace.
You initially thought him not smiling was only a characteristic distinct to him but you soon caught on to the British way of melancholy or blank stares.
"Why does everyone look so sad here?" you whispered to him as you sat on the tube. After a casual dinner, you looked around to see the other passengers silently looking at their phones or out the window. "It's like everyone has a perpetual frown on their face," you continued as you looked up at him. "Just the way people are," he replied in an attempt to answer your question, "you all are so smiley in the US." You looked at him shocked and put a dramatic hand to your heart. "Not my fault we're just so friendly," you mumbled as he pulled you back into his side. You continued to sit in silence as the train car screeched along the tracks and the train car began to empty. With a handful of stops left, you felt the need to continue the conversation. "You know, I thought it was just you, but I guess it's just a UK thing," you joked before returning to look back at your phone. As you sat there in silence, Simon couldn't help but love the little things you said that always kept him wondering.
Simon will never understand the beauty that is a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel from a New York bodega after a night of drinking.
"Good morning," Simon smiled, slightly more chipper than usual. You looked back at him as he tussled his messy bedhead. You had gone out for a rare night of drinking with his team and it was clear that someone was feeling a little hungover at the moment. "What are you making?" he asked as he poured you both a cold glass of water. You smiled as you turned around with your masterpiece on a plate. "I made something special," you giddily answered as you pushed it towards him, "this is a New York specialty." As he placed the sandwich in his mouth, you continued. "Here we have expertly prepared strips of bacon, two eggs, and sliced, American cheese of the finest quality. Everything has been cooked to optimal temperature to burst in your mouth and it all lies on a bed of a perfectly toasted, everything bagel," you presented as you smelt the delicacy of your creation in the air. "It's a sandwich," he replied as he swallowed and you rolled your eyes. "It's not just any sandwich, Simon," you corrected, "it is essential to the morning after drinking." He nodded unimpressed as he continued to munch on his breakfast sandwich. "If you don't want it though, I can always take it," you began to say but you were met with his hands snatching it off the plate. "Mhmm that's what I thought big man."
Despite always correcting you, he smiles a bit at your little phrases and terms.
On a slow morning, you walked over to the couch and wrapped your arms around his shoulders. "Got any plans today?” you asked and he let out a small grunt in response. “I’m thinking we go to the movies,” you suggested. “You mean the cinema?” he cheekily asked and you rolled your eyes. “Whatever, let’s get dressed.” When you arrived, you walked with Simon and saw the growing line to enter the theater. “C’mon babe, let’s wait in line,” you said, walking towards the back and you failed to see his shit-eating grin. “It’s the queue,” he joked, clear sarcasm in his voice and you groaned at his antics.
Finally, the last straw was when you exited the movie and you wanted to relax at home with a good glass of wine. You put up with the teller, sweets, loo, and chips but you drew the line when it came to the next term. Simon’s arm was slung on your shoulder as you discussed the film when you remembered the lack of alcohol at home. “Si, can we stop at the liquor store?” you asked, innocently and you could see a signature smirk flash across his face. “You mean the off-license?” he replied and you lost it. “Oh shut up or I won’t have my parents ship those Costco jeans you love so much!” you replied and his snarky comments silenced. You knew how much he loved those bargain pants that were surprisingly sturdy. He nodded in response before placing a kiss on your angry forehead. “You’re a shithead,” you exclaimed and before he could interject with another term, you put up your hand to silence him, “not another word, London boy.” God, how Simon wanted to correct you and say he was from Manchester.

Radley's sneaky spicy cheatsheet for imaging modalities!
X-ray
Super quick zappyzap! One-to-four images per body part in the UK, unless you're doing fancy orthopaedic projections. Fast, cheap, and very good at looking at bones / basic abdominal or lung pathology / size of your heart. You hold still for like, one second. Then - ZOOP! You're done.
CT
X-ray BUT MORE X-RATED! Much, much higher dose, because it's basically taking a ridiculous amount of x-ray images while spinning the gantry (the 'camera', so to speak) around you at very high speed, and then algorithmically compiling those images to create a 3d digital construction of your innards! Very useful for looking at internal organs, especially with contrast media that makes pathology all shiny and pretty. Sometimes slower & always more expensive than X-ray, but much faster & cheaper than MRI. Patients can't move for the duration (unless you're doing cardiac stuff that takes a picture only in the lull between heartbeats - very cool!).
MRI
CT BUT WITH MAGNETS (okay it's not really much like CT except that it creates slices of the body in all three planes). There's no ionising radiation! It produces really, really clear, gorgeous pictures that show off soft tissue beautifully! We like that!! But... it's also really slow, really expensive, and really claustrophobic. A lot of patients don't enjoy it, and who can blame 'em? Who wants to be stuck in a small tube for a half hour while it makes horrid boomy noises at you? And you're not allowed to move at all? (we don't even like you to breathe too fast or too slow!)
Ultrasound
SOUNDWAVES GO BOUNCYBOUNCE. Though it produces a relatively unclear image that you need a lotta extra training to decipher, the tech is super cheap and available, and it's very quick to use! There's no ionising radiation involved! AND you can use it for realtime imaging - so, you can see a foetus move as it happens, rather than this movement messing up your entire image, or having to be carefully planned around!
Fluoroscopy
X RAY BUT VIDEO. This is a constant (and therefore high dose) real-time 'video' taken with X-ray, which can visualise movements within the body. You can watch contrast media (shiny juice) shift around to ensure that systems are functioning correctly! You can watch surgeons push their guide wires/stents/etc. into place, to be sure they hit the right spot! Or you can inject Shiny Juice into the blood vessels and, with angiography, watch it flow around the heart/brain to find blockages!
Nuclear med
WE STICK THE RADIOACTIVE STUFF IN YOU. For instance, we give you a radioactive tracer in a solution with stuff that binds well to bony metastases.... and BOOM we can see all your bony metastases on a PET-CT/MRI because they're glowing red-hot! Or we IV a nuclear tracer into your heart and make you exercise/give you meds that raise your heart rate and BOOM we can see whether your heart has an adequate blood supply during exertion!

So I never did a summary post of my London trip, did I? I came back and got sick and bleh'd and never did it lol.
Well okay, roundup post (kinda) below! It's actually all over the place but yeah. Thoughts.
Overall, had a complete fucking blast.
Holy shit the public transport is AMAZING. I will never get over packing onto the Tube with a crowd on a weeknight at 10PM and having a train RIGHT THERE. Next train was coming in 4 minutes. Train after that was coming in 6 minutes. In Sydney if you're in the CBD at the same time you're waiting twenty minutes for the next train. London Tube is just AMAZING
(when I'm not lugging luggage up ALL THOSE FUCKING STAIRS)
ALSO IT GOES NYOOOOOOOOM
Australian driving sucks because Aussies are shit drivers. UK driving sucks because the streets suck and were built for horses and carts and not cars. I have always been told Sydneysiders are bad drivers but had no idea until I went to the UK, where Brits politely merged in front of me without a blinker but never, ever cut me off. British drivers use their blinkers less than Aussies (in fact they barely used them at all in north Wales/England border) but somehow are still better drivers than Aussies, who use blinkers more, but won't actually turn them on until they've already pulled right in front of you and almost caused an accident.
Having said that London drivers are really, really vocal. You can't walk down a street without them honking the shit out of each other. Like Australians are constantly trying to kill each other on the road but we're pretty quiet when someone tries to murder us with bad driving.
I still can't get over how strong the accents are. like look. I feel like an idiot admitting that. but I didn't realise that my idea of a "British accent" was actually very watered down due to British expats losing their accents over time. I know that's a "no shit Sherlock" moment that I should have seen coming and I have no idea why I didn't.
I got to meet two friends! I met @nightingaletrash and @starsilvereld. I still have no idea what either of their names are. They have no idea what mine was. I am very amused by this.
Nothing you have read, or even seen on TV, about the acoustics in British cathedrals will prepare you for walking into St Paul's while a choir is on and hearing the world glow with music.
I mean, FUCK, I went into this tiny little chapel in Beaumaris and the acoustics in there, alone, was mind blowing. Tiny. You could whisper to someone and it's like you're holding a mic. I'd love to be in the castle courtyard when a choir is singing.
Remembrance Day is a Big Deal in the UK. In Australia it's majorly overshadowed by ANZAC Day, a commemoration of the Battle of Gallipoli, which was our first major conflict as a country where we lost so many people (despite losing as many over several months as we lost in a day in a later battle I'd never actually heard of, but learned about in the Imperial War Museum). In the UK Gallipoli was barely a footnote in the Imperial War Museum, a quick "yeah that got fucked up and failed miserably" footnote.
It wasn't until the morning I spent in the IWM that I actually put two and two together as to why there were so many poppies everywhere. Like -- I feel dumb for admitting this, but when I first saw the poppies my brain immediately went "oh, there's poppies and it's cold, ANZAC day must be coming up" before it record scratched and went "wait it's November."
London is old and wet. Like you have no idea just how old everything in the UK is until you actually go there. Everything is so old. You walk past buildings with chunks taken out of them -- I just subconsciously assumed they'd deteriorated. Nope. Those chunks are from where shrapnel hit the buildings during the Blitz.
And yeah it's also soaking wet all the time despite most rain being very light. I guess it's because of the humidity and all the cloud cover? Like with how soaked the streets are you'd expect the rain to be much heavier, but I guess in Aus the streets here dry out so much faster so it only gets that wet here when the rain is torrential.
UK's accessibility is awful. Most crossings don't make noise (and the ones that do sound exactly like shoplifting alarms in Sydney so that was a trip lmao), their pedestrian lights (IIRC) don't flash, and there's no somatic component to the crossings either. In Aus, you can be deaf and blind and you will know when it's safe to cross because the button you press to cross will vibrate heavily when it's time. And I'm not talking about heritage listing places, but very modern buildings -- newly renovated Tube stations would have maybe one or two benches on a platform and that's it.
But. The one thing the UK does right was drawing attention to invisible disabilities. Australia's infrastructure is way more disability friendly than in the UK, and intuitively so -- you don't need apps, you can cross a road safely in Sydney deaf and blind -- but I haven't seen a single PSA here regarding invisible disabilities once in my life. At the UK those signs were everywhere that accessibility related stuff was. "Please give up this seat for someone who needs it. Please remember not all disabilities are visible."
I've had people complain to me Sydney had no night life any more after the lockout laws, and I thought they were being overdramatic, until I stepped out of a Tube station for the first time in Leiscter Square (bitching internally about the stairs) on a Sunday night and holy shit London was vibing. Music and packed crowds everywhere, light and laughter and... yeah. Sydney's nightlife is fucking dead.
Pretty surprising, given how loud London was, how many nooks and crannies there were that were completely insulated from the racket of the rest of the city. Especially in Temple and St Dunstan in the East Church Garden.
THEY HAD SQUIRRELS!!!!!
It's really hard to describe the difference between British cold and Australian cold. I can finally see why people like winter: British cold is energising. It feels fantastic, and whenever the chill sets in you can step inside somewhere and you'll be warm in seconds, and the heating is turned up so high that you carry that heat with you.
In Australia, you don't get that. It's just cold. Once the chill sets in it doesn't leave. You go inside and it's just as cold inside as it is outside. People have heaters going on full blast under their desks all day because the heat never stays, but the cold is always there. You don't carry the warm with you when you leave, it's gone in a flash. I can see why British expats tell me it's colder here than in Britain, even though an autumn London is, by far, objectively far colder than the dead of an Australian winter. It's because in Australia the heat is so fleeting in winter.
Things I wished I'd known before I went:
The stairs thing. It's actually fine if you have the right apps. There are accessibility apps that can give you step-free routes through London. Would've saved me SO much misery that first week but I didn't find out they existed until after I'd already done all the lugging. There ARE lifts at the disability friendly stations they're just fucking hiding and you have to hunt the buggers down.
I can't stand for very long before I need to sit lol and there's like one bench per room in the British Museum. If I'd known that, I would've divided the British Museum up over a week and done an hour each afternoon, schedule permitting, so that I could actually take my time and absorb everything. But alas, the back went "nope fuck this."
Should've arrived a day earlier so I could actually GO to the Hallowe'en thing without worrying about crashing and dying horribly. I'm really sad I didn't go, but at the same time... yeah, I couldn't have made that trip safely, so at the end I made the right decision even if I'm always going to wish I had gone.
Water pressure sucked in each hotel room I had, so wish I'd used half a braincell and just bought dry shampoo.
Final note:
Singapore has bidet toilets and I've felt like a caveman ever since.
TL;DR:
It was awesome, wish I could do it again one day :(

unfortunately in most of NA the train system is either not great, not feasible, or non existent :( in my city at least we have subways but those are for quick trips (under an hour). no such thing as high speed/bullet, and anything long distance is terribly expensive (easily hundreds of dollars, can go up to thousands to cross the country). and it breaks my heart bc i've gotten to take the train once! in europe! and it was amazing but we can't have that here 😭
omg that's so sad 😭😭😭 i feel the usa is so big it would THRIVE with trains, like a quick little interstate rail??? i live in the uk so our train system is admittedly pretty good. i have caught the tube in london honestly probably thousands of times but even the train between cities is soooo nice like i get a little booth with my little tea and a charging port and just write on my laptop and watch the fields like its SO nice

The next thing up is another day in that new outpatient surgery hell scheduled for Tuesday. 🤨
I did go ahead and successfully ask for some premedication. Ended up just telling the doctor when he came by after the procedure that I really wasn't sure if I could make myself come back, due to some past experiences elsewhere (making sure to emphasize that everyone had been great there, even as fried as my brain was by that point). I really hate feeling like my autistic ass is forced to play some kind of multidimensional manipulative social chess to try and get some needs met, which is tricky enough when I am in much better form than I was after that day. But, it apparently worked. The guy did actually seem sympathetic when my composure kinda broke down talking to him, and frankly he had probably already heard about my little PTSD meltdown earlier. I was afraid that would hurt me in general, but maybe not so much.
I now have some Oxascand waiting, which I am supposed to take far enough in advance that I am not sure how much effect there will still be by the time I even get to the hospital. (Also planning some preemptive Tylenol and take more along with me for after, as much musculoskeletal pain as my bendy ass ended up in from being stuck on a fucking gurney for hours last time. It always hurts to lie flat on my back, and I also kept ending up there. Felt like I had been hit by a truck, which probably struck my previously broken butt before sending me flying. Plus the inevitable effects of their Migraine Potion after the procedure, while I'm stuck there under fluorescent lights for at least a couple more hours before they'll let me go. Gonna bring along some cough drops and a rescue inhaler too, because coughing with the throat irritation from the damn anesthesia trach tube set off my asthma last time. Thankfully that did calm down on its own, but jfc. Do not need.)
Especially given the way my adrenaline-charged system seems to blast through benzos. But, at least that will hopefully help me get out the door to go to Lund for their early morning outpatient surgery cattle call. Idk about the hours of waiting until they wheel me back, but hopefully that will be slightly more bearable now that I do know what to expect. The premedication will at least hopefully help keep my white coat blood pressure down enough that this doesn't lead to more delays. Not surprisingly, the first reading they took while I was still sorta melting down was high enough that they waited to get a less alarming one.
The gastro endoscopy people really did burn through most of the trust they had managed to earn with this latest poor communication shitshow, I tell you what. I was down to mild dread of a quick unpleasant procedure before this, but I am back to looping unhelpful thoughts at the prospect of another round like the last one. Even going back in with a much better idea of what to expect, and prepare for.
And yes, it's starting up before the weekend for a Tuesday repeat.
I do at least trust them to be competent, try not to hurt me, and actually talk to me like I am a living human being rather than an annoyance. That is much better than I could say for the bunch I was stuck dealing with in the UK. That unfortunately still doesn't completely override the dread of being trapped in a fucking surgical unit pretty much all day.

As someone who really wants to visit London one day, what are your basic traveling tips for going there? 😊
ooo okay here’s just some stuff off the top of my head!
get an Oyster card and take the tube (subway) and buses everywhere. i promise it’s easy to navigate but Ubers/taxis are just a waste of money tbh
Citymapper. Citymapper. Citymapper.
public transport “etiquette” is interesting there. people don’t look around, they keep to themselves, and they don’t talk much, even to their friends and people they know
when you ride an escalator— stand on the right, walk on the left
this is so random lol but be prepared for familiar brands to taste different (mostly applies to chips/crisps, candy, and soda)
Greggs is a place that’s quick, easy, inexpensive, and honestly pretty good for what you’re paying
when you go out to eat, tipping isn’t really a thing there (because servers actually get paid). some places will have an optional 10% service charge but you can have it removed if you really want
because servers aren’t making all their money off tips, they’re not going to try to rush you out, and so you have to actually ask for the bill when you’re ready to leave
so the Indian and Bangladeshi food is really good because many people migrated to the UK from those countries. you can ask them to make it mild if you don’t like spicy, but it’s worth trying. maybe go to Brick Lane!
this goes for any place you’re traveling, but leave time to do “nothing.” don’t overpack your schedule because you’ll enjoy it less overall. leave time here and there to wander aimlessly and just romanticize your life yk?
that being said, prioritize certain touristy things you want to do but don’t do them all. i’d recommend a walking tour of the City of Westminster and the Tower of London!
it’s the heart of theatre so see at least one show! can be a musical if you really want, but the plays are better! or maybe one of each! if a show offers them, get rush tickets to save money (comment or dm if you have no idea what that means lol)
Covent Garden during the day (try Ben’s Cookies while you’re there), Soho at night. Soho has good food, good pubs, and good nightlife. just a fun place to be!
Simmons and O’Niells are fun pub chains!
tbh that’s all that’s coming to mind rn but please lmk if you end up going and we can chat more about it! i’m planning to go back a couple of times and then move there permanently :)

Gorillas And The Acrylic Tube Gorilla Lope entertains himself with an Acrylic Tube. Asante has a quick drink out of the pool. Lope keeps putting the tube behind his head and I'm not exactly sure what he's trying to do. When Asante comes closer, he moves off leaving the tube behind. I was half expecting Asante to take an interest, but she just sat down on the wall ignoring the tube. A bit later Shufai takes curiosity gets the better of him. He turns around and puts it on his belly. Then Lope his brother and their Mother Ozala turns up. Lope has been annoying his mum again. Shufai goes inside leaving the tube for Ozala to have a look at. She rests her hand on it, then has a sniff and then puts it down and stands on it briefly with both her legs before she goes back inside. Lope stays outside in the sun on the warm wall. #SloggerVlogger #GorillaLope My Travel, Days out and zoo hyperlapse YouTube channel: https://bit.ly/WatchAndSubTravel Visit my website at: https://ift.tt/Hm7ljTN Shop/Merch Links with worldwide delivery: rawshutterbug Redbubble @ https://ift.tt/LhN1J42 #AD #RedbubbleAmbassador t-shirts, stickers, apparel, homeware and much more rawshutterbug Zazzle: https://ift.tt/ihmrz1F customizable t-shirts, stickers, apparel, homeware and much more rawshutterbug Society6 @ https://ift.tt/kHmQtvI t-shirts, stickers, apparel, homeware and much more rawshutterbug photo4me: Quality wall art @ http://bit.ly/rawshutterbugPhoto4Me Amazon UK @ https://amzn.to/3hHPNGG #Ad #AmazonAssociate Amazon USA and other countries through my website @ https://ift.tt/bQuOZLI SloggerVlogger

Anthony's Stupid Daily Blog (784): Fri 10th May 2024
I was happy to see that the website Bucketlist is back up and running. This is a social networking site of sorts where people with bucket lists can upload their goals, update people on their progress and also get ideas for things to do. A while ago I went through a phase where I would do things during the day based on items uploaded to bucketlist i.e if someone uploaded that they wanted to eat at a sushi restaurant then I would go to one or if someone had some beach based activity then I would spend the day at the beach. About a year and a half ago the website went under maintenance but said that it would be back soon and would update all its users by email when it was back up and running but this was the first time I’d heard that it had relaunched. I thought about spending my day doing something based on an item on the website but rather confusingly the only “Item” that had been uploaded today read “The UK’s Finest Quality Sex Dolls”. I don’t know what the user who uploaded this item means by this? Has he (I’m assuming it’s a man) just never got up the nerve to buy a blow up doll before or has he used them but been disappointed by the quality of the dolls he’s been sent and wants to bang at least one decent one? One thing I’ve noticed is that nerds are often quick to correct people who call their action figures “doll” but I think that it would be hard for a horny teenager to convince their parents that they’d walked in on him shagging a “blow up action figure”.
Tuned into to the first episode of the, sadly final, series of the amazing Inside No 9. It featured a group of strangers trapped in a tube tunnel who ended up divided over a missing purse and split into two groups, those who wanted to check the bag of a suspicious passenger and those who didn’t. I’m guessing that this episode is a commentary on the various “See Anything Suspicious? Report It” ad campaigns that we’ve seen in the years since the rise of terroristic threats in the UK (and the fact that a lot of people seem to have redefined in their minds what the definition of “suspicious” is, namely they think that a Muslim being on a bus counts as suspicious). This was another great episode with a great twist that I won’t spoilt and I’m so sad this show is calling it quits. One of the greatest shows of all time and I’m hoping that the BBC convince Reece and Steve to return for Halloween and Christmas specials. I don't want to believe that it's entirely over. More than any other show this one allows me to just switch off and go into another world for a while. But if they don’t manage to persuade them then in the words of Dr Seuss: “Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened and a lot of characters got burned alive, drowned in bathtubs and had their organs ripped out"

Unboxing, Swatching and Testing Paul Rubens NEW 5th Gen Professional Watercolors (+ their paper too)
Today we’re taking a closer look at the new 5th generation Paul Rubens set of Professional Watercolors in pan format (Youlan set) to see how it compares with their previous set (4th generation). I received this set as a gift from Paul Rubens. And then we’ll see how they perform in a painting chosen to showcase their luminosity and vibrance.
This is what I found: The set is presented in a sturdy cardboard box with the painted tin wrapped in a microfibre cloth. It is available in pink or black with gold highlights in both cases. To summarize the findings: - Low price for the quality of the paints - Good selection of colours for botanical painting - not so good for urban or landscapes as very light on the neutrals and browns. - Most of the paints are highly transparent and only have one pigment in them. - Most are non-granulating or only slightly granulating. - Full info on staining, lightfastness etc is given.
Comparing this set with the tube set I was sent recently by Paul Rubens of the 36 colours I have to say I cannot tell the difference. Obviously there are 12 more colours in the tube set which is useful but still leaves a gap in the brown and grey area. However it is no big deal to purchase separate tubes or pans of Burnt Umber, Perylene Maroon etc. if you are looking for more browns. I would recommend these paints for a beginner or as a good gift for a teenager or serious student.

Swimming Pool Water Testing Kit - Swimming Pool Pumps UK
What is used to test pool water?
Testing pool water is crucial to ensure its safety and quality. Several tools and chemical test kits are commonly used to test pool water. These tools help monitor various parameters, such as pH, chlorine levels, alkalinity, and more. Here are some of the common tools and test kits used for testing pool water:
Tumblr media
Pool Test Strips: Pool test strips are paper or plastic strips with chemical pads that change color when dipped into the water. These pads react to different water parameters, such as pH, total alkalinity, chlorine, bromine, and sometimes calcium hardness. You match the color change on the strip to a chart provided with the strips to determine the water's condition.
Liquid Test Kits: Liquid test kits are more precise than test strips and are used for testing specific water parameters. They typically include reagents and test tubes. Common liquid test kits are available for pH, chlorine (free and total), bromine, alkalinity, and calcium hardness.
Digital Testers: Digital testers are electronic devices that provide accurate and quick measurements of various pool water parameters. Some digital testers can measure pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and more. They often display the results on a digital screen, eliminating the need for color-matching or interpretation.
Photometers: Photometers are advanced electronic devices that use light absorption to measure the concentration of specific chemicals in the water. They offer precise and highly accurate readings for parameters like chlorine and pH.
Test Reagents: Test reagents are chemical solutions used in liquid test kits and digital testers to react with water samples and produce color changes or other measurable responses. These reagents are essential for accurate testing.
Comparator Test Kits: Comparator test kits consist of a test vial and a color-comparison chart. You add reagents to the water sample, and then you compare the resulting color to the chart to determine the parameter's concentration.
Specialty Tests: Depending on the pool type and water source, you might need specialty tests to check for specific contaminants or parameters, such as iron, copper, phosphates, or cyanuric acid (stabilizer/conditioner).
It's important to regularly test your pool water and maintain the appropriate levels of chemicals to ensure safe and enjoyable swimming conditions while preventing problems like algae growth, scaling, and corrosion. The frequency of testing may vary depending on factors such as pool usage, weather conditions, and water source, but testing at least once a week is a good general guideline.
