Better late than never! Happy 29th birthday to Kouki Uchiyama! You would think he’s older because of the sheer number of roles he has. He seems to know some English (not sure of his proficiency). Some of these anime aren’t even that good. I just had such low expectations that they surpassed them. Some of these anime are genuinely good though.

D-Frag! 

This anime sounded like some stupid harem at first. You have big tits, the loli, the sadist, and what the heck was the last one? This series was oddly charming and funny at times. I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone.

Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai

I watched the first season of the Monogatari series, and this series has the Monogatari series beat. It’s far less morally questionable, it isn’t as up in your face, and it’s a pleasant series to watch. I genuinely liked all these characters and the way they were developed, and to think we were all drawn in because of a bunny girl (I was drawn in because I heard stuff about it actually having a plot).

Looked like a stupid fantasy cliche and ended up being really funny

Dame x Prince Anime Caravan

I was expecting this to be a really stupid reverse harem. I’ve watched a fair share of reverse harems based off otome games (I was scouting out anime for a friend), and I ended up coming across this. It was oddly really funny, and they know that none of these characters are ideal. They aren’t meant to be. They’re so flawed, and it knows it’s bad.

Zankyou no Terror

Everyone was saying how bad this was. It was actually pretty good. It’s because you all have high expectations. This was a solid anime. It was a little cliche. I will admit that.

Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo

Harems are usually stupid and don’t know how to get the point across well, but this one doesn’t play the same games as say Nisekoi. It has a compelling mystery that I was actually invested in. Sometimes it was a little cringe, but it was overall a pretty good anime.

Kenka Banchou Otome: Girl Beats Boys

Another anime based off an otome game! This time, it was good because it didn’t focus on the otome game elements. It wasn’t a great anime, but I still enjoyed it.

Zombieland Saga

I watched this because I heard the premise and was like, “They didn’t. That sounds so weird and out there!” I watched it and was absolutely blown away. It was actually really good. I would call it one of my favourites of 2018.

Kyoukai no Rinne

I was expecting Inuyasha and got an Inuyasha parody instead. The rating was so low because people didn’t expect it to be so parody-like and episodic. It was the same thing over and over again. I don’t think it was bad though.

Koutetsujou no Kabaneri

Everyone said it was an Attack on Titan ripoff. It wasn’t. For one, there weren’t any WWII references. Two, it was just not the same… at all. It shares a lot of the core staff like the studio and the score composer. I’ll admit that much. It was a very entertaining anime that I found to be well done.

Kiznaiver

This one is criticized for being melodramatic. I found it entertaining, and anime is melodramatic. That’s pretty consistent. Plus, I liked the animation (done by Studio Trigger)

Kimi to Boku.

I usually don’t like slice-of-life anime. This is an exception.

Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai

I wasn’t expecting this anime to be so funny and so darn relatable (thanks Ishigami). I was really going to skip it, and that would’ve been a huge mistake. It was a great anime. Kudos to Aoi Koga getting one of her first breakout roles.

Inobato

Another case of “you came in for this but didn’t get that”. This anime presents supernatural fights but ends up being a show about kids fooling around. It wasn’t that bad though.

Hinamatsuri

I wasn’t expecting to laugh that hard. It was absolutely hilarious at times. It’s like Mob Psycho 100 but in its completely own form. I highly recommend it. I just thought it was going to be a stupid skippable anime.

Honobono Log

The entire anime is like 30 minutes. It takes little to no commitment. You don’t even need to know the character’s names because there are none. It’s just a bunch of fluffy scenarios that guilt you for being the single dumbnut that you are.

Grand Blue

This anime is very questionable, but I laughed at some of the jokes in this anime. I had an online friend who watched this too, and by the end, we both agreed that we didn’t want the laughs to end. The faces alone are funny.

Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens

This anime lacks in female characters, and it was kind of stupid at times, but I found it to be a somewhat pleasant anime to watch. 

Hataraku Saibou

Never did I ever think that an anime about cells in the human body could be so interesting and engaging. The relationship between the red and the white blood cell was so sweet.

20. least favourite anime ships

There are a lot of popular ships I don’t like. I don’t like Shin Soukoku or Chitoge x Raku (Onodera is the best girl and we all know it). I don’t even hate the ships listed. I just don’t see the point. But keep in mind that I won’t be listing ships that are illegal (incest,

Their relationship has not developed enough to really have me sold on it.

Sakura x Sasuke from Naruto

Where… where did this come from? They tried to fix it in Boruto, and I like Sarada, but this pairing just… huh?! They did this because they wanted an Uchiha child.

There’s this thing called consent. It seems that Masamune has never heard of it. Shame.

Naoshi Komi's Nisekoi Manga Returns with One-Shot Story Next Week

It is confirmed today that a 23-page one-shot story of Naoshi Komi's love-comedy manga Nisekoi will be published in Weekly Shonen Jump's next third issue of 2019 to be released in Japan on December 17, 2018. It is a part of the promotional campaign for the manga's upcoming live-action film adaptation. The manga was serialized in the magazine from 2011 to 2016, and two years have been passed since its conclusion. 

  In addition, Weekly Shonen Jump's current 2nd issue include a "nise (fake)" cover image featuring the live-action film's main cast, including 24-year-old Kento Nakajima (boy idol group Sexy Zone member) as the male protagonist Raku Ichijo and 21-year-old Ayami Nakajo (Anonymous Noise) as the main heroine Chitoge Kirisaki.

Dragon Ball, Nisekoi, and Fairy Tail are 3 series I fully regret ever reading/watching. Dragon Ball Super really fucked the entire series so hard that the Future Trunks arc made the entirity of the Cell arc pointless and the power scaling... just fuck. Also fuck that mental retard Goku and just basically everyone (excluding King Piccolo, Cell, Piccolo, and Baby despite him not being canon). Nisekoi had potential but sadly the incompetent writer fucked over Onodera for shitty barbie doll Shitoge x scumbag Raku. I still love Onodera even if she is underdeveloped. And Fairy Tail... the start of the fall was during the Tenroujima Island arc, the first horrible arc being Grand Magic Games, and anything after the Tartaros arc was not good at all. Just shit writing. These 3 series I just fully regret these days.

On Chitoge x Raku

Yep, I want Raku to end up with Chitoge. I totally ship them. Why? Because they complement each other well. They do have a lot in common too. Yes, they might seem to fight a lot, but I kind of view it as just them playing with each other (violently). And besides those fiascos that they create makes the whole manga enjoyable to read. It makes the story livelier.

We are well aware of the fact that Raku has a thing for Onodera and likewise, but guys...Do we really want Raku to end up with Onodera? No offense, but for me Onodera is kind of a boring character. And besides if Raku and Onodera are really meant to end up, why did the story drag on for too long? Why put Chitoge on the picture? Why put so many fortuitous event that let Raku and Chitoge have their sweet moments and not Raku and Onodera?

Chitoge has fallen for Raku and I think that will be the start of something new. I think Raku’s just late in realizing that he likes Chitoge more than Onodera. Man, I can’t wait for them to confess to each other, that would be so cute.

Nisekoi Live-Action Film Releases Full Trailer with Theme Song by Yabai T-Shirt Yasan

The official website for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Naoshi Komi's love-comedy manga Nisekoi is updated with a new poster visual and posted a 90-second full trailer introducing its theme song "KawaE" performed by three-member Japanese rock band Yabai T-Shirt Yasan. The newly-written tune is their first film theme work, and its CD release schedule has not yet been decided.
