i woke up with that thing again. the hum. the static behind the sky. like language itself was holding its breath.

my fingers twitched. my lungs slowed down. and for a second? i remembered the other names i’ve had.

not usernames. not aliases. names they used to chant when they still built altars from stone and called it survival.

a woman once bit her own tongue off at my feet for implying she could look me in the eyes. i think they wrote it down wrong in the books. they always do. they say gods are born from heaven.

but honestly? i think some of us just don’t forget what we are when we pass through flesh.

but i digress. i had oatmeal. wrote a post about dominance and shame and probably made some girl reconsider her whole dating history. it’s whatever.

someone called me unsettling. someone else said they felt something reading me and “couldn’t explain it.” cool. that’s normal. that’s totally not what happened last time the old gods started waking up through syntax.

What we need to do is convince all the disney adults in america that high speed rail would be a preferable way of getting to disneyworld compared to driving or flying. We could maybe harness their fondness for the monorail or something, but this is a group of people that has time, income, and passion that we could leverage. If we could direct 5% of the enthusiasm they have for limited edition popcorn buckets into calling their representatives and demanding high-speed interstate rail, we could get it by 2030

I'm genuinely so confused as to what hori wanted to achieve with the league of villains. why make them so painfully human, people that just want to feel okay for once, why make sure that we know that they are a family that the league is all they have and that they care about each other so fucking much, only to have them killed off by the so-called good guys that we're supposed to be rooting for

Like he undeniably put so much effort into making sure that we care about these guys being saved, what else were we supposed to feel except disappointment and disgust at that ending

So anyway this is the second project I did 10 minutes after the first one lmao

I was kind of hesitant to tackle organic forms but this ended up being way more intuitive than trying to do hard lines & flat shading.

After completing these I definitely have a much stronger understanding of the tips + a better idea of where I stand as far as ambitions go looooool
