I wish people would be as concerned with the mental and emotional well-being of students as much as people seem to be concerned that someone might write an essay with ChatGPT.

i completely understand & agree with the backlash against students using chatgpt to get degrees but some of you are out here saying "getting a degree in xyz means pulling multiple consecutive all-nighters and writing essays through debilitating migraines and having severe back pain from constantly studying at your desk and chugging energy drinks until you get a kidney stone and waking up wishing you were dead every day, and that's just part of the natural process of learning!!!" and like. umm. i don't think that any of us should have had to endure that either. like maybe the solution for stopping students from using anti-learning software depends on college institutions making the process of learning actually sustainable on the human body & mind rather than a grueling health-destroying soul-crushing endeavor

I think if Yue Qingyuan ever found out Shen Yuan's identity, especially after the Luo Binghe marriage and sex life, it is so over for Shen Yuan.

Yue Qingyuan failed to return to Shen Jiu and stop his abuse and violation once, I doubt he would take the reveal he failed a second time well at all. I legitimately think it might push him past his breaking point.

Especially since his unique relationship to his spiritual sword makes him kinda stronger than Luo Binghe in my opinion (hence the elaborate trap in PIDW, and the System's likely interference with his thinking to make him ignore his own distress over the replacing), so it would be interesting to see Shen Yuan have to reconcile the fact that no, he didn't get rid of a scum villain, he took away someone who loved and was loved in turn, he just didn't love the one Shen Yuan wanted him to.

Also that the protagonist title only goes so far and the halo will fail eventually, and that this "happy ending" is anything but eternal.

Just wanted to apologize for not posting as much art as of late. I don't know if I've already apologized before or not, but it's been rough and I'm sorry if you expected a bit more out of me. Probably TMI but my dad had a stroke two months ago and the whole family, myself included, have been suffering because of it.

Mental health has gone to shit, I've been eating little to nothing, and my paranoia and anxiety have increased tenfold. Not to mention around the same time I had gotten out of a relationship that was getting out of control. I can't/won't say anything because 1: privacy, and 2: I'm still scared.

There have also been many funerals I've attended this year. Again, will not go into detail.

I've promised a lot of things with my art, and trust me I'm getting to them, but everything's been so hectic and my mental health has never been worse.

I'm getting professional help. I have been for a while.

Just know that no matter what happens in life, as extreme as it can be, you will make it. Sometimes it all seems pointless and hopeless, but you will make it. We will make it together. Whoever is reading this, I care about you. We may have talked, maybe we haven't, maybe you don't even know me. Still, I care.

“What’s wrong?” Matty asked, concern heavy in his voice, “why are you making that face?” He snubbed out the hand-rolled cigarette he had held between his fingers, against the top of an empty coke can, before crossing the green room and settling into George’s lap and looking up at him with concern, a loose curl falling across his forehead and into his eyes.  

They were in a room full of people, Ross and Adam, their friends, their families and business acquaintances. But as always, George was pulled into Matty’s orbit and it felt like they were alone, just the two of them against the world. George wouldn’t have it anyway. 

“Nothing,” said George easily, because nothing was wrong. It was the opposite of wrong, everything was perfect, and he was just so fucking happy. 

They had played a successful sold out show, the first of the tour promoting their new record. Matty was healthy, Matty was happy. The critical reception to the album had been shockingly, overwhelmingly positive and Matty was positively giddy. Things were so fucking good. There was absolutely nothing wrong. 

“Okay,” said Matty slowly, skeptically. His eyes were clear, he was sober while George was very much not. That was another mark in the positive George though, grabbing hold of Matty’s hips to tug him closer. Matty was sober, not just tonight, but for always. 

George smiled, leaning down and kissing him, Matty melted easily into his touch, deepening the kiss as he allowed George’s tongue to slip between his teeth. Ross hooted in the corner, heckling them to get a room. 

“I love you,” said George, when he pulled away, ignoring Ross to take in Matty’s red swollen lips, and the delectable flush to his cheeks. 

“I love you too,” said Matty and George thought of the ring, hiding in the bottom corner of his sock drawer. He wished he had it now, he had been fretting for months, wondering when and how to ask Matty to make it official, to let him know he was committed to spending the rest of their lives together. But something told him that now was the moment, sweaty from the show, surrounded by all of the people that mattered. George swallowed hard, Matty wouldn’t care if he didn’t have the ring with him right this instant. 

“You’re making the face again,” said Matty raising an eyebrow teasingly but really trying to maks his concern. 

“Marry me,” said George, and Matty’s eyes grew wide. 

“What?” He asked, not sure he had heard George correctly. 

“Marry me?” George repeated. “I have a ring at home, but tell me you’ll marry me.” 

Matty smiled. “Yeah,” he said, “yeah George, I’ll marry you.” 

George smiled, pulling Matty to his chest. “Good.”

The Sanctum lets Tony in on its own, so when Stephen comes down the stairs, carefully adjusting the lines of his jacket, the man is already waiting in the foyer. As Stephen approaches, Tony smiles. “Hey,” he says, and holds out… a bouquet.

Well, not a bouquet, per se. It’s a cluster of flowers. Dahlias, Stephen thinks. They’re a deep purple, shading into white at the tips of the petals. He takes them slowly, hesitantly. “You brought me flowers,” he says, a little stunned.

“Seemed appropriate for a first date,” Tony says. “You like them?”

Stephen’s heart is melting. No one has ever given him flowers before. Most doctors have at least received something from grateful patients, but… not Stephen. He blinks hard. He is not going to tear up. He forces himself to look at Tony and hopes his smile isn’t as tremulous as it feels. “I love them.”
