So, you just created an awesome video. You want to now send it to a collaborator.
Or perhaps you want approval from a client. You attach it to your email and immediately get a pop up that says “file size too large.” Irritating no! Let’s face it, compressed videos mean reduced bandwidth usage and upload time, and less buffering on your viewer’s end too.
But, how do you compress a video file without losing quality?
I have made a detail tutorial video that will teach you hot reduce the size of a video without loosing its quality, you can check it out via https://youtu.be/GDdOk_7Hqt4

people have been talking a lot about how tumblr altering from .gif to .mp4 will severely effect quality of a gifset - and they're right! it really does impact quality (and the more complex the gifset, the more impacted the quality is, which is also horrible for gifmakers). but i also feel like it’s worth mentioning that this goes beyond quality. converting to .gif takes away key components in gif making, including transparency.
now having transparency within a gifset is important because it allows gifmakers to get around the ‘you can only upload 10 gifs’ rule, while still preserving your tumblr experience, whatever layout your in whether it’s light mode or dark mode or anything in between. but converting to .mp4 completely changes this. you cannot preserve transparency with .mp4. this means any gif that includes multiple gifs within one canvas? it’s going to have white lines inbetween.
here is an example of a multiple-gifs-in-one saved as .gif:
Tumblr media
and this is it now in .mp4 format (screenshot bc tumblr won’t even let me upload a .mp4):
Tumblr media
not only is the quality severely impacted (ew), but also it has these white bars which are at complete contrast with how the rest of the set looks in dark mode.
i know to non-gifmakers it may seem overdramatic for us to complain about this change, but it really does entirely alter the giffing techniques we as gifmakers employ to make our gifs look smooth for your consumption.
so please, make noise about this. if not for yourself but for the gifmakers you enjoy if you want to continue seeing them make content.

My School Prince President - Ten Minutes Ago Music from Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella (1997)
My brain attacked me this morning yesterday (uploading this was an odyssey 🙈) with the revelation that the music in the dancing scene gives me similar vibes as this song and I kept wondering what would happen if the two were put together.
Shockingly, this is how I ended up spending the rest of the day listening to the movie soundtrack and editing this into a thing lol The deed is done now, I may finally rest 😌

End of the Year!
The year is coming to a close and ReEnvision’s development is at the 9 month mark!
Tumblr media
I first had the concept for this goofy game waaay back in 2019, started writing it in late 2020, and only this year am I finally making the effort to make it a reality. It hasn’t even been a full 365 days since starting this project and yet so much has already changed.
SO, why not take a little trip through memory lane to end off the year?
A then vs now menu comparison!
Tumblr media
And here’s what the old item menu inside a battle used to look like, horrid placeholders and all.
Tumblr media
Speaking of battles, those looked pretty goofy, too...
Tumblr media
The sprites weren’t spared either!
Tumblr media
Or the portraits...
Tumblr media
Or even the basic scenery.
Tumblr media
Looking through everything, I think it’s been a pretty productive year so far! March 1st will mark the day this game’s development officially reaches the 1 year mark. Let’s see how much more I can accomplish by then. >:D
Main goals for next year are to finish up the game’s storyline, start working on the script, finish up implementing the game’s core mechanics, and then start figuring out how to go about things like story progression! As well as polishing what I have so far, and adding some more enemies. If I’m really ahead of the game, maybe I can even start making a few locations that would actually appear in the final game? Who knows!

I know posts aren’t written with a universal audience in mind and that when people make posts like this they are probably not talking to me but
I HATE posts that are phrased to talk to everyone and say shit like “you NEED to be eating X”
shut up! you do not know a persons needs. just saw one that even went so far as to say they didn’t care if a person has a condition that makes it hard. shut up shut up! things that are healthy for most people are not necessarily good for everyone! like. my body does not tolerate cellulose. it makes me throw up. I can only tolerate vegetables in very specific circumstances, and I’m even then I will, not might, WILL, throw up part of the meal. I also receive premade meals in the mail as a disability accommodation. These meals are inevitably designed to cater to the Healthy Diet For Everyone. and as a result, I can’t eat like half of every single one because it’s steamed vegetables that will make me sick. nothing I can even do about it. it’s not possible to receive medical meals for MY medical needs. not to mention all the other stuff they send me that is prohibited for me (whole grain bread —I’m on a low fiber diet. milk —lactose intolerant. pineapple fruit/juice —allergic. tomatoes…allergic again.)
idk man it is an active problem in my life that everything presumes there is only one way to be healthy. I’m so sick of dealing with it. I DONT want to see it on tumblr too! leave nutrition advice to people’s doctors!!!

okay.
so I don't have anything against warhammer 40k (from what I've seen it seems pretty cool).
and I don't know enough about the general fanbase to have a solid opinion on it
but the subset of wh40k fans who're obsessed with barging into any discussion of various sci-fi factions and declaring that wh40k or even just the imperium could destroy said faction/universe — or in some cases literally saying "don't be salty just cus all your favorite settings get solo'd by a space marine lmao" really drive me up the wall
like. shut the hell up.
that 80-90% of the time I see someone bring up wh40k in contexts that aren't about 40k it's to announce just how 40k is so so so so much stronger than every other sci-fi series and could wipe the floor with them really doesn't paint 40k fans (and 40k by extension) in a great light
also — and I'm sorry for bringing up the Alternity every time this happens but I mean. if people are going to be stupid then so will I — have fun beating the Hytherion when it travels billions of years into the past and eats your entire galaxy (or universe) before it even forms
(yes, transformers alternity is stupid as hell. fun thing to bring up in stupid nerdfights over whose universe is the strongest though.)

Streamlining Video Production: Top Tips for Using MOV Compressors Effectively
Tumblr media
In today's fast-paced digital landscape, video content has become a dominant force across various platforms and industries. Whether you're a professional videographer, content creator, or business owner, optimizing video production workflows is essential for staying competitive and meeting audience demands. One key aspect of streamlining video production is effectively utilizing MOV compressors. These tools play a crucial role in reducing file sizes without sacrificing video quality, making it easier to store, share, and distribute content. In this guide, we'll explore top tips for using MOV compressors effectively to streamline your video production process.
Understanding the Role of MOV Compressors: Before delving into tips for using MOV compressors, it's important to understand their role in video production. MOV compressors, also known as video encoders or transcoders, are software applications designed to compress video files encoded in the MOV format. The MOV format, commonly associated with Apple devices and software, offers high-quality video but often results in large file sizes. MOV compressors help mitigate this issue by reducing file sizes while preserving as much video quality as possible.
Tips for Using MOV Compressors Effectively:
1. Choose the Right Compression Settings: When using a MOV compressor, selecting the appropriate compression settings is paramount. Balancing compression ratio with video quality is crucial for achieving optimal results. Experiment with different settings such as bitrate, resolution, and codec options to find the right balance for your specific needs. Higher compression ratios result in smaller file sizes but may lead to loss of detail and clarity, so it's essential to strike a balance that meets your quality standards.
2. Prioritize Video Quality: While reducing file sizes is important for efficient storage and distribution, it should not come at the expense of video quality. Aim to preserve as much detail and clarity as possible during the compression process. Opt for compression algorithms that offer efficient file size reduction while minimizing artifacts and degradation. Conduct thorough testing to ensure that compressed videos meet your quality standards before distribution.
3. Batch Process Multiple Videos: To maximize efficiency, consider batch processing multiple videos using your MOV compressor. Most compressors support batch encoding, allowing you to queue up multiple files for compression simultaneously. This saves time and effort, especially when dealing with large volumes of video content. Prioritize organization and categorization to streamline the batch processing workflow and ensure consistent compression settings across multiple videos.
4. Utilize Presets and Profiles: Many MOV compressors offer preset profiles tailored for specific use cases or platforms. Take advantage of these presets to simplify the compression process and ensure compatibility with target devices or platforms. Whether you're optimizing videos for web streaming, mobile devices, or social media, preset profiles can help expedite the compression workflow while maintaining optimal quality and compatibility.
5. Monitor Compression Progress and Results: During the compression process, closely monitor progress and results to ensure that videos are compressed accurately and efficiently. Pay attention to any errors or warnings generated by the compressor and address them promptly to prevent issues with output quality. Conduct thorough quality checks on compressed videos to verify that they meet your standards for clarity, color accuracy, and overall presentation.
6. Optimize Compression for Streaming: If you intend to stream compressed videos online, optimize compression settings for streaming delivery. Consider factors such as bitrate, resolution, and encoding techniques optimized for streaming platforms. By tailoring compression settings to the requirements of streaming services, you can ensure smooth playback and efficient delivery of video content to your audience.
7. Maintain Backup Copies of Original Files: Before compressing any video files, always create backup copies of the original uncompressed files. This serves as a safety net in case of unexpected issues during the compression process or the need to revisit and re-compress videos with different settings. Store backup copies securely to prevent data loss and ensure access to pristine source files for future editing or archival purposes.
Conclusion: Effectively using MOV compressors is essential for streamlining video production workflows and optimizing content for storage, sharing, and distribution. By following these top tips, you can leverage MOV compressors to reduce file sizes without sacrificing video quality, maximize efficiency through batch processing, utilize presets and profiles for streamlined compression, and monitor compression progress and results to ensure optimal outcomes. Incorporate these strategies into your video production workflow to enhance efficiency, maintain quality standards, and deliver compelling video content to your audience across various platforms and channels.

Choosing Wisely: Picking the Perfect Mp4 Video Compressor for You
Tumblr media
With the increasing popularity of videos in today's digital landscape, the need for efficient file compression solutions has become paramount. Mp4 video compressors offer a way to reduce file sizes without compromising on video quality. However, with numerous options available, it is essential to choose the perfect mp4 video compressor that suits your specific needs. In this article, we will explore the key factors to consider when selecting an mp4 video compressor, helping you make an informed decision.
Compression Quality: The primary consideration when choosing an mp4 video compressor is the quality of the compressed videos it produces. Look for compressors that utilize advanced algorithms to ensure optimal video quality. The compressor should effectively reduce file size while maintaining acceptable visual and audio clarity. It is advisable to test the compressor using sample videos to assess the quality of the compressed output.
Compression Speed: Compression speed is another significant factor to consider. Some compressors are faster than others, which can significantly impact your productivity, especially when dealing with a large number of videos. Look for compressors that offer a balance between compression speed and quality to ensure efficient processing of your video files.
Customization Options: Different videos may require specific compression settings to achieve the desired balance between file size and quality. Look for compressors that provide customization options, such as adjusting bitrate, frame rate, resolution, and audio settings. This flexibility allows you to tailor the compression settings to the specific requirements of your videos.
User-Friendly Interface: A user-friendly interface is crucial for a smooth compression experience. Look for compressors that have an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. The compression process should be straightforward, with clear instructions and a logical workflow. A user-friendly interface ensures that even those with limited technical expertise can navigate the compressor efficiently.
Format Compatibility: Consider the compatibility of the mp4 video compressor with various video formats. While mp4 is a widely supported format, it is beneficial to choose a compressor that can handle other popular video formats as well. This ensures that you can compress videos in different formats without the need for multiple compression tools.
File Size Reduction: The primary purpose of using an mp4 video compressor is to reduce file size. However, different compressors may achieve varying levels of compression. Look for compressors that can effectively reduce file sizes while maintaining video quality. Compare the compression ratios achieved by different compressors to find the one that offers the best file size reduction without compromising on quality.
Batch Processing: If you frequently work with multiple videos, consider compressors that support batch processing. This feature allows you to compress multiple videos simultaneously, saving time and effort. Batch processing streamlines your workflow, making it more efficient and effective.
AI Detection of Plagiarism:
While selecting an mp4 compressor is essential for efficient file management, it is equally important to address the issue of plagiarism. AI-powered plagiarism detection tools can help ensure the originality and integrity of your video content. These tools compare your content against a vast database of existing texts, identifying any instances of plagiarism or similarity. By utilizing these tools, you can maintain the authenticity of your work and protect against unintentional plagiarism.
Conclusion:
Choosing the perfect mp4 video compressor requires careful consideration of various factors, including compression quality, compression speed, customization options, user-friendly interface, format compatibility, file size reduction, and batch processing capabilities. By selecting the right compressor, you can efficiently compress your videos while maintaining optimal video quality. Additionally, leverage AI-powered plagiarism detection tools to ensure the originality and authenticity of your video content. Take the time to evaluate multiple options, test sample videos, and choose wisely. A well-chosen mp4 video compressor will enhance your file management experience and enable you to effectively handle and share your video files.

Keeping Lag to a Minimum...
I was chatting about a few things I do to combat lag over on discord and realised I do quite a bit of maintenance to reduce lag/load times. I decided to write em all down and before I knew it, I had a big ol' list. Here's hoping it helps!
Tumblr media
Save/File Tips:
Clear your caches (located in the same spot as your mod folder fyi) I usually delete the onlinethumbnailcache, avatarcache and localthumbcache caches every time I exit the game, the main one to delete regularly is the localthumbcache file, they're just temporary files but it can get pretty big after a while.. if you're having any mod issues, particularly ui ones, it's always worth deleting that to see if it helps.
Remove any saves you're not using from your saves folder, and keep an eye on save file sizes. In my experience, any saves over around 30-40mb start to get a bit laggy. Things that bump this size up are the amount of townies in game and the amount of lots/objects in the world.
Regarding the above point, I regularly bulldoze lots I don't need anymore, just to save the game from having to cope with extra shit to load in the background and reduce save file bloat.
Similarly, I delete a lot of unnecessary townies. Also, try to keep the amount of outfits on townies to a minimum, ain't no townie need four swimsuit outfits, the game will thank you..
If you have cheats enabled you can usually shift-click/delete object on things like random coffee cups or stray cupcakes sims foolishly drop around the world (or eat em.. whatever tickles ur pickle) just get rid!
Whilst we're keeping objects in game to a minimum.. I try to clear sims inventories now and then, including townies. You can do this via mccc even if you're not currently playing that household by heading to MC Cleaner -> Sell Sim Inventory/Sell Household Inventory. RANDOM LUMPS OF CLAY BEGONE!
Think of a save file like a lot.. the more objects in it, the laggier it gets! Try your best to remove anything or anyone unnecessary where you can.
Hit "Save As" instead of "Save" now and then - the more you overwrite a save, the more chance it has of going wonky, treat your game to a fresh one now and then and remove the old one from your saves folder (maybe don't delete it right away in case you wanna roll back, keep it somewhere safe).
If you can (although ik it can be a pain) set up a new/fresh save, you'd be surprised how bogged down old ones can get! For legacy players, it's usually best to do this whenever you have a small family to save yourself some pain, since you can just save the household and take em to a new save (you will lose sims inventories/household inventories/relationships with sims outside the household tho so beware! Pictures/other collectables can be saved to a lot however, and you can always cheat back relationship bits etc.. bit of a last resort but new saves are shiny and fast!)
Make sure your Screenshots/Video folders are empty - move em somewhere else, it works, trust me. If you have a lot of custom music installed try n' clear some of those out too.. the smaller that Sims 4 directory is, the better.
Delete any last exceptions/last crashes (same spot as your mod folder again) you don't need em unless you're planning to upload em somewhere for help.
Settings Etc:
If you get a bad lag spike, opening the main menu and/or saving can randomly stop this. If it doesn't, try exiting the game, clearing your localthumbcache and restarting.
Clearing all notifications from the game panel can also help.
If you can, close all other apps and background apps you don't need whilst playing, ts4 is super memory hungry so it can definitely help.
The GraphicsRules Override file by Simp4Sims can reduce lag/latency and make your game look a little better in the process!
Srslysims Simulation Lag Fix mod can help reduce lag too (if you've altered the game speed via mccc tho, don't use this unless you plan on resetting it to default).
If you aren't keen on, or barely use a pack, consider disabling it.
Not ideal, especially for those of us taking screenshots, but lowering the graphics settings whilst playing definitely helps.
If you use re/g-shade, consider switching it off whilst playing and only turn it on for screenshots.
A clean and tidy pc/laptop runs better in general. Remove anything you're not using/don't need anymore to free up space, remove temp files, clean up your folders now and again etc etc.. especially that dreaded mod folder, speaking of...
Managing Mods:
SORT OUT YOUR MODS FOLDER FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.. skdsjdjs it doesn't have to be immaculate but at the very least try n' clear it out now n' then. Also try to separate your script mods/overrides from the rest, patch days don't need to be so stressful ;-;
Personally, I don't merge my mods; if something breaks it's much harder to pinpoint! It makes it easier to find/delete specific mods too.. and let's face it, there's usually one or two items in that set you could do without lmaooo.. also, don't think it helps much tbh! Yeah you could say the game doesn't have to work as hard to load merged files but that's debatable, it's still the same amount of items/polys at the end of the day ¯\(°_o)/¯
If you like merging files and/or see results from doing so, you can merge stuff you definitely know you're never getting rid of, especially CAS/BB stuff.. but steer clear of merging gameplay/script mods! If a merged file seems to be the culprit when using the 50/50 method, try unmerging it and 50/50ing it again! You might not need to get rid of everything if something's borked.
Bulk Rename Utility can be used to remove all spaces and special characters from your mod files, the game doesn't particularly like loading those so it'll thank you.
The Sims 4 Mod Manager is a great way to sort through your mods, you can easily see, move and delete files from here (not great for build/buy, poses etc as thumbnails are usually missing, but great for CAS stuff). An extra hint with this that I've noticed is that if any of my mods get renamed with [D1] at the beginning after looking through them via the mod manager, it means it's a duplicate file so you can get rid.
I also use the Sims 4 Tray Importer to help me sort through mods. Simply save a sim/lot with any cc you don't want and find it in the importer, you can then go through all the cc in the cc tab and delete/sort it (I also use this to sort cc if a bunch has the wrong tags etc, makes it easier to find in my folders by saving em to a lot or w/e - it also spots duplicates which is handy).
It's a ballache, but the 50/50 method is tried and tested if you're having issues.
I like to keep an abandoned cc folder tucked away somewhere, that way you can remove mods willy nilly without stressing about losing them. If you change your mind, you can always grab it back!

(sorry this is from a week ago but) Wait, what's going on right now that's complicated with Amazonian farmers' land rights?
Not farmers, indigenous people
See, recently they put a new law through congress that severely reduces indigenous land to the borders established during the late dictatorship, or immediately post-dictatorship, in 1988. An absolute joke of a border that was dreamed up by some military assholes. People in america may recognize this type of society from the times of westward expansion and think this is a thing of the past because for you guys it is. But here it is a reality. Murder is rampant. The reach of the law is incredibly limited. Government is just too weak and landowners basically run things. THAT'S WHY it's so important to donate directly to the native peoples instead of random NGOs because native people are fucking there and the more power they hold in the land the safer the land will be from agroindustrial expansion.
Well the law was vetoed by the the president and the Supremo Tribunal Federal, aka supreme federal court, labeled it as unconstitutional. Which it is, because our 1988 constitution describes native american land rights in some of its first articles. We thought this would be it for the law
But then the senate (that already overrepresents landowners in rural states) just went along and approved it anyway. I had no idea they could approve something unconstitutional. The progressives and particularly the socialists are fighting this in court. But it happens that for now the legal border is the severely reduced version.
Doesn't mean they'll just give up, because as it happens we don't have any stand your ground laws so even if you own a piece of land, you cannot legally speaking just shoot everyone there. Or attack or threaten them in any way. They'll just have long legal battles individually for the rights to occupy land based on use. Also the Xingu national park, the largest preserved land of the Amazon described as 'larger than Belgium', is being encroached by huge farms that are poisoning their water supply. The border is Visible. I'll try to find video of it but essentially you have a forest and a desert separated by a strict line.
Just last week in the south of Bahia (not the Amazon, let me explain more about the Amazon situation in a bit) Hãhãhãe leadership Nega Muniz Pataxó was shot and killed by an armed militia group that invaded and occupied the Caramuru territory.
instagram
The situation in the Amazon, specifically the yanomami territory in Roraima our northernmost state, aka deep forest, is more dire than average given difficulty of access, sheer size, and government abandonment. It's a place that depends on government aid for medicine. It's land that is being systematically invaded by gold miners, pandemic, toxins from nearby farmlands, wood extraction etc. (wood extration is rampant everywhere tho). Early 2023 saw a massive federal government operation by now president Lula to empty the mines and try to look for where funding comes from. Yanomami land is still being invaded to this day, the struggle is ongoing.
The yanomamis need support right now more than any other. Last year saw a massive heat wave that (well, one, caused a girl named Ana Clara Machado to die during the Taylor Swift concert. This is unrelated but I feel like not enough foreign media covered this, Taylor even lied about it as well.) dried up a lot of rivers, killed a LOT of fresh water animals including an unprecedented amount of pink dolphins. Access that was already hard became damn near impossible without boats. I cannot overstate how many pink dolphins were found dead.
Another technique that landowners use to clear space for farms is to just set things on fire and then occupy the empty land, which they legally can do to land that was naturally burned in a forest fire. It happened that Pantanal, another national park of swampland, was massively devastated by fires last year too
this article is from 2020, the year that the worst fire happened, but in 2023 there was another one. It's been happening yearly now due to a) deliberate action and b) climate change aggravation.
And this is not nearly all. Just off the top of my head. If you speak portuguese I recommend following the APIB or the COIAB on instagram to keep up with the news. The FUNAI is the government branch of indigenous organization, but it's not generally that well liked. Still.

and alright, here's my last (let's hope) and boldest take yet. lots of people have been talking about the level of staff (around 25-ish people) at watcher, and whether downsizing that number could have been a potential avenue of reducing costs before just jumping to a subscription model. at first i was like yeah, i'm not sure that there needs to be 18 people involved in making a lets play. i was in the fucking trenches in the unus annus days and i'm still amazed how markiplier and ethan nestor managed to put out pretty well edited videos every day for a whole year with only a handful of editors and a couple people filming. what unus annus was trying to do and what watcher is trying to do are obviously pretty different, but the point is that you really don't need a whole crew of people to make lots of different types of content and do it well.
i still think there probably doesn't need to be a whole production crew involved with the creation of some of the simpler types of content watcher puts out. however, i don't think the size of the staff is the real problem. in fact, i think the staff of watcher probably should have been larger.
let me explain. if i begrudgingly go to one of my most detested websites (linkedin. *bleeegh*) and look up watcher, i can see that pretty much every person on staff is in a creative role of some sort by their own admission. at first glance, its like, oh, that makes sense. they're making creative products, it's natural that they should all be in creative roles. however, once you think about it for a little longer from a business perspective, that fact is really concerning.
after all, by watcher's own definition, this is a production studio. this is a company. So in this sea of creative roles, who's doing corporate planning? Who's managing finance? Who's doing payroll? Or brand outreach? Or human-freaking-resources??? you can hire outside groups for all this. i'm aware. but those services cost a lot of money to contract too. i'm just finding it concerning that there is pretty much no one on full time staff that is there to at least do some of this stuff. if watcher wants to be a big-boy company, that's fine, but that means you have to pay some people to be part of your company to do the not-fun business stuff like accounting. or resource management.
if they want to be a real company, they should actually have a lot more people on staff to deal with all the non-creative parts of running a company. even if they contract out most of it, you want at least a few people that are your people and don't actually work for someone else. that's how you don't get screwed over or end up in a contract you can't get out of.
which leads me to my last train of thought. like, as i go through the staff of watcher and look at what they do, it really seems like one of the ONLY people who's job it was to look at the business side of things WAS steven lim in his role as CEO. and thinking about that, i'm like god, can you imagine?? here's a guy who just wants to create cool stuff too but as one of the few people who has to think about the realities of Brand and the Business, HE has to be the one to burst the bubble. He as CEO has to say no to people and make decisions to make sure the company survives. In a group of creative people who just want to make things they're interested in, no expense spared, he was probably the guy who had to stay at least a little tethered to reality.
I'm not about to say that steven lim isn't to blame here. everyone involved in making the decisions that have led up to this point is part of this. but shit, it absolutely sucks to have to be the person at the end of the brainstorm session when everyone is coming up with their best ideas and to have to say "guys, i don't think any of these things are possible unless we make some big decisions."
is that what happened at watcher HQ? i don't know. at this point, with radio silence from everyone, speculation is all we've got. but if you follow the thread of a bunch of creatives striking out on their own to make their own business after being burned by their former employer, despite not knowing really how to run a business, and then only hiring fellow creative people and not other people who actually run business things... well, all of this starts to make slightly more sense in WHY none of watcher's actions make sense. everybody wants to stick it to the man and be their own boss with their own business, until it actually comes to the hard parts of doing that. at that point people start to realize, "oh, maybe some of the things that existed at my old job were there for a reason, actually."
all this is why lots of creatives striking out and starting their own businesses don't work in the end. they're thinking about in terms of creative products still, when they really need to be focusing more on the "business" part of the "creative business." it's sad. it sucks. it destroys a lot of good ideas and good people, because one person in every company like that has to be the one who thinks practically. could this have been avoided if watcher had been hiring people all along to manage this business and not just adding people to add to the creative output? maybe. even then it might not have been enough to curb other predictable impulses that led us down this path.
i feel bad for watcher, and i feel bad for the fandom. but i can't help but wonder if this was always the kind of situation we were going to end up in, and we just missed some of the warning signs because ALL of us were thinking, "well, that could never happen to us. we're different. not the Ghoul Boys."
