HE LOOKS SO GIDDY AAAAA YOU TRANSLATED HIS DESIGN SHOCKINGLY WELL INTO YOUR OWN STYLE??? When I drew him for the first time, it took several days before I landed on something that looked decent lmao. You got it down from the get-go! Especially the detail of his hands missing a finger! Very clearly did your proper research before drawing this, which is appreciated lol. That big ol smileeee he’s filled to the brim with happy :’)

And little me!! Short as ever jksjsksps. Points for accuracy with that. No wonder Puzzles has to securely wrap his arms around, else I’d accidentally slip out /j. I’m honored he’d want to keep me that close to begin with. Also appreciate how you conveyed the darker colors + my doodlesona/personas tiny hair swoops, yes yes! Love the soft lighting brush for background that you tend to use in your own illustrations as well—definitely one of those elements that helps identity you as the artist (since it’s a recognizable/reoccurring element I enjoy noticing ehehe). This is an absolute delight to stare at!! Wouldn’t have been able to anticipate receiving giftart today—it’s brought a smile to my face seeing me depicted alongside my treasured source of comfort. It was actually really important to me that we get one minor piece of previously unmentioned description about Faulkner in that end scene, when Carpenter's tending to him so closely.

Because then it's like he's coming into closer focus, for her and for us; like she's getting to see him with fresh eyes.

But, you know, if it feels wrong or jarring or it conflicts with your idea of how he should look - canon isn't real, and the characters are in your hands. Definitely don't worry about it.
