People talking about some of the official fireworks being cancelled and I'm just surprised so many people go to those.
My general fireworks experience is just warily observing from the safety of my home how some of the Flemish and Turkish dads have fraternized and with their combined wit and knowledge have managed to shoot a rocket forward to thankfully only hit a neighbours car while their bedraggled guardian angel is pounding back double espresso shots in the corner

on the missa thing can i also say??? philza also calls HIMSELF weak and stupid at all times, and we see crows fighting that because they know he has a very biased POV (same as when he praises others by putting himself down), but somehow when it's about missa then non-hispanic crows take it at face value????
and also, sometimes when phil mentions it, to me, it feels more of a "fuck he doesnt have the shit needed to deal with how OP some of the mobs are here, he needs help" which is just. objectively true? not necessarily calling missa weak, just that, in the scheme of everything as the island works rn, if you dont have equipment of a specific level or type, you get popped by any mob around, and since missa isnt around much, he doesnt have those types of equipment

Oh!!!! 13 10 and 4! I don’t mind whoever you choose I wanna know about them all haha 💐
Because it's free real estate im picking one OC for every question, thank you for the freedom <3
13 - What do they consider their weaknesses and would others agree?
Syleth considers his weakness to be his Oath. Which is definitely weird because he willingly became a paladin, and he loves being a paladin, he by and large agrees with his oath. He wouldn’t be a paladin if he didn’t believe in his oath.
But it limits him. He cannot do things he would want to do or say, he has to pay attention to the things that come out of his mouth. Saying the wrong thing can make him an OATHBREAKER. It also forces him to act when it might not be wisest. He is oathbound to destroy evil like devils, but what if the best way out of that situation is trough parley? He can’t even entertain the idea of the safest outcome because what if it breaks his oath?
It is Syleth’s blessing and curse.
10 - Describe their style of dress.
Maxwell would prefer to dress to the nines most of the time, sophisticated, extravagant. But they would prefer not being noticed more. It's not like they dress themselves drab, it's mostly just darker and muted colors and regular streetwear. To satisfy their hunger the clothes they wear are still highly expensive fashion brands.
4 - Describe their ideal day.
Wake up rested without any nightmares, stare at the fish tank installed into the wall next to your bed for 30 minutes. Have breakfast (it's cake). Check phone, ok great your crew hasn't blown anything up and there's no emergencies. Go to the Boneyard and walk Spoon with Chen. Give him a kiss before parting ways (make a joke about seeing him at work so he can squirm and wonder if that means you're dropping by Ranger HQ as River or you're causing a ruckus as Sidestep somewhere in the city, leave before he can ask). Go to work, the cover business one. Talk with Marcia for like an hour while fixing tech behind the counter. Go to your actual work in the warehouse and have a planning (see: hangout) session with the crew. Go to Ranger HQ (succesfully avoid Argent and Herald) to have lunch with Julia and maybe bother Chen (see: makeout with). Go back to work (the fake one) because somehow the fake business is doing pretty decently (you don't mind, you like fixing things). Have dinner with Chen, maybe finally let him convince you to spend the night. Go to bed (you don't have nightmares, you get to rest).
Tysm for the ask Goldfish! (..... or Gold..? just Fish? aaa sorry) Questions are from this OC ask game!*

ik you said your oc story takes place before canon events but how would they feel about laios’ party? (maybe vice versa?)
for laios party (including namari shuro and falin) i think beryl would quickly realize he should have hired them instead. he would bother(or maybe indulge) marcille about her magic research. he would be impressed with their resourcefullness but kind of super grossed out that theyre eating monsters. i think in return marcille would like him the most. nerding out about magic with a little gentleman who agrees that this shit is gross ("well... i hate to say it but its actually not that bad when you give it a try...")
sloane would like namari and chilchuck, for their work ethics, and if she knew more about laios and senshi she would respect them too but superficially theyre just the monster freaks. she would be nice to marcille and falin. i think chilchuck would respect her back, and is surprised she seems to understand already hes not a 10 year old. namari would blush and sloane would carry her away.
fry would be kind of mad that theres a wizard prodigy thats taking all of beryls attention but he would be too busy talking to laios and senshi about monsters. he uses their ingredients in his potions so he needs experts that can tell him the best way to harvest. handsome experts. just sitting there smiling while they explain something for 90 minutes. he would like falin and marcille too regardless. he would happily invite marcille on a shopping trip. and talk shop about magic. i think falin would like him most though, because hes silly.
billy would be intimidated by such a large and effective group, but probabably get along with the other dungeon dweller senshi. they would also really like namari for other reasons. theyd be ok with chilchuck but i think he can sense/see that theyre living in the pits + like it and also like to rip people off so chilchuck wouldnt be a fan. laios would be interested in the were-rat thing if they decided to talk about it and idk how billy would feel. not bad but not loving it. id say senshi also thinks theyre a child but they look so rough he probably thinks their either a sickly teen or a sickly adult. either way hes giving them soup

𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝑀𝑎𝑗𝑜𝑟 𝐴𝑟𝑐𝑎𝑛𝑎
So, I’ve done a post about why I add a character’s moral alignment, so I thought I would do it for the Tarot cards. Maybe you’ve noticed it or not (it is something I’ve only started doing).
Because there are 4 suits; Cups (Water), Wands (Fire), Swords (Air) & Pentacles (Earth). I decided this first post will be about the Major Arcana, to break up the Tarot - so it’s easier to digest, rather than have everything thrown at you.
content warning: the titles have the photos of the cards, some show human anatomy
Okay, so the Major Arcana is about a person going through different stages in their life. Starting off with The Fool - who is a curious innocent who wants to experience the world, to the end, ‘The World,’ meaning you’ve accomplished what was set before you.
Great Resources:
One.
Two.
Three.
Each zodiac sign has their own tarot card that represents them. Here’s a free website that tells you. I’ll provide the sun signs equivalent to their tarot card. Although you have your own personal one!
I’ll make another post on how to read tarot cards, because there’s a lot that goes into it. But with the Major Arcana, their messages are much clearer (inn my experience) then the Minor Arcana (the suits; cups, wands, swords, pentacles).
Also, when I read tarot, I include when a card comes out upside down. You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to. Do what feels right, it may seem silly or overstated, but your intuition is a superpower. Feel it in your gut. Listen to yourself.
These cards will represent the deeper, more life-impacting matters. The Major arcana deal with the major moments in our lives.

Hi! First of all i wanna thank you for your kindness and resourcefullness to support the tumblr ND community!
And second:
Do yoy have any tips on how to deal with executive dysfunction? Especially when you HAVE to do something increedibly crucial but its a big heavy task that you have no interest in and puts you under a lot of pressure.
Again, thank you! I submitted an ask ages ago and you helped me realize that i have BOTH ADHD AND ASD!
Hi,
I found some lists that I found that might be helpful:
How to Manage Executive Dysfunction Problems:
1. Use a digital calendar to manage your time
2. Keep helpful resources like checklists and templates nearby & visible
3. Break goals down into smaller 5-minute actions
4. Create an organizational system to keep track of important physical items
5. Plan and commit to short breaks between work sessions
6. Color code study materials based on mastery to prioritize review
7. Use habit-building apps to build consistency
8. Reframe deadlines and helpful tools to prioritize responsibilities
9. Practice mindfulness to build presence and attention
10. Pre-plan your next action following a scheduled break
Full article is below:
I found another list:
1. Make a Daily To-Do List
Creating a daily list of tasks and projects can help to improve the challenges of executive function disorder. To-do lists can help you stay motivated, organized, and make progress towards your goals. A daily to-do list is a powerful way to manage impulses that can lead to poor decision-making.
2. Use a Calendar
Create a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule to track important dates and appointments. Update your calendar daily. Try to make recurring appointments at the same time of day.
3. Learn How to Manage Your Time
Break down to-do lists as "urgent," "important," and "non-urgent." This will allow you to budget plenty of time for those long-term projects that are important to you.
4. Take Notes
Take time to write down important dates, reminders, or rules that come up in a designated notebook. Keep it organized. Keep sticky notes in a place that is easily accessible. Take notes related to important calls so that you can keep track of details discussed in meetings and conversations.
5. Use Reminders
Use reminders and alarms to keep you organized and on time for appointments and meetings.
6. Keep It Simple
Reduce the number of activities that you attempt to complete at one time to help you focus and complete the task before moving on to another.
7. Relax and Breathe
Practicing stress management techniques like meditation, yoga, deep breathing can improve symptoms associated with weak executive function skills and can help to reduce executive function anxiety.
8. Stay Organized
If you find yourself losing items frequently or feeling overwhelmed, try decluttering your home or office. Stay organized and keep your area tidy to help you locate items and feel less overwhelmed.
Full article will be below:
I hope this helps. Maybe my followers can give some advice and tips too.
Thanks for the submission. I hope you have a wonderful day/night. ♥️

if the marauders lived
I have a theory that If none of the marauders died and they all raised harry together, harry could have ended up a slytherin since all of the marauders exhibit one of the key slytherin traits. James is ambition, Peter is cunning, Remus is loyal and Sirius is resourcefull (see his reading spell for Remus and (what i fully believe was) his idea to become animagi). The thing is, the second they found out that harry had been sorted into slytherin, James, without hesitation, became slytherins biggest supporter, fighting the others If they ever said anything bad about the snakes and, slowly but surely all the marauders -even Sirius- warmed up to slytherin. This lead to some confusion at quidditch games.
"Yes harry!!! Go Go gryffin- i mean slytherin! Fuck sorry mini James!"
"woohoo! Gryffindor scores!!!.... Wait shit, Gryffindor scored?! Damn it!"
But it also lead to Sirius plucking up the courage to ask about his brother, who, he discovered for the first time, died a hero, a true Gryffin- a true slytherin

My brain melted because I cant help but compare a lot Shadowheart with Leliana to the point of imagining a crossover of Shadowheart getting to know Leliana and having to spend time traveling with her.
I swear to all gods that Shadowheart would LOVE Leliana. At first she would find Leliana way of faith in the good stupid, but would start to respect her when seeing how the woman is resourcefull and dont have problems into needing to kill or manipulate people to achieve her goals and perpetuate her faith.
Leliana would also love Shadowheart, she would see lots of herself on the woman and maybe by curiosity or empath, start to help and guide her to overcome her traumas and find a path for herself. Something that Leliana knows how hard it since she had to do it in the past.
And when finally they turned into good friends they totally would enjoy some good wine together were they share some old stories of mischiev, Leliana's partys where people would start losing their clothes, Shadowheart techniques to go out and get laid without angering Shar. I can even dare to say that these two woman would even turn into lovers if not.

Episode 1 veredict:
3/5 straw hats 👒👒👒
The good:
Amazing desings on the charecters and amazing sets (we knew this already)
Good pacing & tone
Great fights!! For real my fav thing of the ep
Great Nami introduction. She was shown not just a thief but also more of a fighter and all around resourcefull. I liked it
I didnt mind the way Zoro, Nami and Luffy met this time around. The scape from the marine base was cut a little short for me but i figure it would happen if you want to fit all East Blue in 8 episodes, so i dont mind.
No for real, the fights but specially the Zoro Fights!!!! The choreography was insane and you can tell Mackenyu worked really hard and nailed it!!
I fucking love this scottish Garp so much
Ehh could do better:
I missed having the badass Zoro introduction of him tied up in the stockyard with no context at all, but the badass fights we did had were good. Still miss the impact of the og introduction
Morgan was a tyrant, a propper bastard, and that was sort of the point. Its the first marine we meet and he repressents all thats gone wrong with the system. Remember that all the marines cheered when Luffy took him down. A miss imo to not develope that too
I said i was going to watch with an open mind not go into rants but they did my boy Koby so dirty, and a shame bc the actor and desing were amazings. Not only him not standing up for himself to Alvida, or being robbed of deciding to free Zoro and going against the marine, but the fight, the fight was so important. Koby standing up, Luffy picking the fight so Koby would be able to join the marines and follow his dream, the understanting that they were still friends even if their dreams put them in opposite paths...just a lukewarm exposition and a wave goodbye was so weak and they could've so easily write the fight in

Should Snape have been in Gryffindor?
Or was he rightfully sorted into Slytherin?
There is one topic in relation to Severus, that always bugged me, since i first read the quote from her who must not be named(J.K) that always bugged me.
And that is her saying that the sorting hat made only 7 mistakes, and one of them was sorting Severus into Slytherin.
Now, why do i have a problem with that statement?
Because that statement makes it seem, like a Slytherin could never be good.
Like you could only be truly good at heart, if you were a Gryffindor.
And like- that is just not true- and Snape is- in my opinion- one of the best examples for that!
I think this statement shows how biased J.K is against all Slytherins- just as Dumbledores:
„You know, i sometimes think we sort too soon!“
Which he said to Snape by the way!
Like with this he all but agrees, that from the moment you get sorted into Slytherin you are condemned to be seen as evil- condemned to a life of nothing but evil. It very much seems that in the eyes of Society you are dead as soon as you sit down at the green and silver table.
I mean i don‘t have to remind you about all the times Dumbledore, McGonnagall etc. favored all of our esteemed Gryffindors. And condemned all of the Slytherins.
(They have always been treated than less by teachers and students alike.
But that is worth a different debate.)
Now back to my original question?
Which house should Severus be sorted into and why?
Reasons why Snape should be sorted into Slytherin according to the qualities he posesses:
•is ambitious
•is determined
•is cunning
•is resourcefull
•is self-reliant
•is loyal to those he sees as true friends! And yes, that is a Slytherin trait!!! Can you imagine?
But i‘m going to make an extra thread on that topic!
Reasons he should be sorted into Gryffindor according to the qualities he posesses:
•is loyal
•is brave(- no this is not debatable)
•is courageous
•is daring
•is determined
And according to the qualities he values most?
Now that is a little harder to answer, but i think those he values most would be:
•self-reliance
•determination
•loyalty
•courage
•resourcefullness
•ambition
•cunning
•determination.
And an important addition:
Qualities he does certainly not value:
• recklessness
•making rash decisions
• acting on impulse
All of which are Gryffindor traits!!
My conclusion is more based on the traits that Severus Snape values the most and less on the traits he possesses.
Therefore i would have sorted him into Slytherin!
Another reason apart from that would be to show that not all Slytherins are evil and only embody bad traits!!! And therefore Snape is an important representation of our house!!
There are good Slytherins just as there are evil Gryffindors. Your house doesn‘t make you an evil person, just as ist doesn‘t make you a good person. Your house doesn‘t define you.
Your choices do.
Which house would you have sorted Snape into? And why?

I saw a post about food rationing in Poland back in the 80s and it made me think... I've talked about that with my friend recentlly - how things that are now presented as zero waste, eco friendly or whatever is trendy right now - and they are often presented as some life changing ideas - are things we were actually taught by our parents and especially grandparents. Basic stuff like not throwing away your dinner leftovers, since you can take them as lunch to work the next day. Like repairing something that broke instead of throwing it away and buying a new one. Obviously, you can't do that with everything, but in many cases it is possible at little cost and a bit of creativity. There was shortage of basically everything, so people had to come up with ways to make their life better/nicer. Every other person has a sewing machine or knew someone who had one, because clothes were expensive and ugly and fabrics were cheap and pretty. You knew how to repair things. Right now possessing manual skills and ability to make something is considered hobby or craft. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad that now we don't have to be resourceful to have nice things.
Of course, there are some habits caused by generational trauma we do not need to appropriate. Like keeping literally everything because "it might come in handy one day", which results in a garage or a cellar full of half broken stuff that you will never actually use. That comes from the time where everything was scarce, so you kept literally everything you had.
But things like Not Wasting Food? That should not be some illuminating new idea but a standard. I do my best to reduce food that I end up throwing away. My grandma considers throwing away food a sin. Not even in religious aspect, she's hardly one for enforcing beliefs on other people, but in terms of this being A Really Bad Thing.
I'm glad I was born in a free country that is prospering well enough. I certainly would not want to go back to the times I grew up hearing about. But what I do like from those times I never experienced is the resourcefullness that came with it. Today I'm a weirdo (in a positive way) who sews her own dresses. 40 years ago that would have been normal way to get something nice.
Huh. I guess this post isn't going anywhere particular, except perhaps stating the obvious like we should appreciate what we have.

Genshin Impact - Combat tierlist
Okay, I think I'm gonna trigger some people, especially those that read the entire lore with this ranking.
Don't worry, I'm working on the requests. I just had this idea while playing TW: Warhammer 3, and I wanted to share it. It's not proofread more than one time, so forgive me if it turns into too much of a drabble.
Before I get into the tierlist itself, I want to say a few things first. For one, I'm not looking at the gameplay stats for characters. The fact that, for example, Yanfei can get sick numbers on screen doesn't instantly mean she is a good fighter in Genshin's reality. Second - every character has their moments. The fact that Ningguang threw a bunch of large Geo projectiles (with quite a lot of effort for sure) at the sea gods doesn't mean she can do that consistently. And last: it's only my own opinion. I didn't read every character story or every weapon description, so I might miss a few important details.
Also, remember that a lot of Genshin's events and stuff in general doesn't make logical sense, so please take the quests with a grain of salt.
The characters are in no particular order in every tier except Decent/Meh. Those are sorted from "decent" to "meh".
I used Fatui Skirmishers as reference, as, among all the common enemies, they pose the greatest threat.
Anyway, don't hesitate to disagree (or agree). Hope you enjoy.
Tumblr media
Absolute Beast
This character is a very powerful warrior, both experienced and proficient with their weapon and elemental powers. They could take on god-like beings with a high chance of victory, so even large grups of Skirmishers will be no problem.
Good fighter
This character is very familiar with their weapon, and has used it on numerous occasions. They are experienced in combat, and have a decent chance against smaller Skirmisher squads.
Decent/Meh
These characters are not green when it comes to fighting, but their skills leave some to desired. They can hold their own against a max of two or three Skirmishers, and have a chance of defeating them.
Self-defense
This character can use their Vision to protect themselves or deal a little damage. They aren't warriors, or don't need fighting in general. They prefer avoiding direct conflict wherever possible, and will pull their weapon out only when pushed up against the wall (or to flex). If faced with two Skirmishers, they would likely make a run for it.
Trash
This character carries a weapon to use only in the darkest hour, or against the weakest enemies. They aren't proficient in using neither their equipement nor Vision. There is a possibility they will live through an encounter with two larger slimes, or a single shielded Hilichurl.
Aloy
Nobody likes Aloy.
Now, some explenations for the characters that I think need them.
As far as I know, Venti didn't actively participate in the Archon war, and overthrew Decerabian with others' hands. He still has the power of an Archon, even if it's the second weakest among them.
Miko got rusty over the many years of idling away at the shrine.
Scaradook doesn't match up to the Puppet when it comes to fighting skills, as he was the failed one and so didn't recieve the right programming.
It comes down to raw power with Noelle and Itto, which is very important in hand-to-hand combat. Noelle also has a strong shield on her side.
Nahida is the youngest and weakest Archon of the Seven. She manages to win thanks to her intelligence and resourcefullness, but, when it comes to basic strength, she has much to work on.
If I recall correctly, Yelan said in one of her voicelines that she isn't really strong. Her Vision isn't really powerfull as well.
Ganyu would have been a great warrior 500 years ago, but five centuries of just paperwork eroded her skills significantly. As far as I know, she doesn't actively train or seek out challanges to keep her level.
Gorou is higher than Sara, because he is more of an executor of Kokomi's orders, while Sara fills the roles of commander and general in equal measure. Yet both of them aren't that great personally (Sara sent out others because she couldn't hope to take on the Traveler herself, change my mind). Sara and Gorou fight alongside a team of dedicated bodyguards (or at least the should - every general in the medieval times had their own guard). They also picked the worst possible weapon for close quarters. Sara can't fly (her wings are damaged), but even if she could she wouldn't do it. Being in the air makes you really vounarable to incoming fire. Sara isn't really strong as well, since her body is slimer and lighter than Gorou's as a Tengu.
Klee is there only because she wields explosives with decent effect.
Bennett is on this tier because he is quite fit and experienced. Yet he is really lucky indeed to still be alive, with all those coincidental fights he gets himself into.
As for Ayaka... forget the entire recent event, the one with a Maguu Kenki fight at the end. It's really dumb. You're telling me that a girl as small as Ayaka, in a dress, could take a three meter murder robot wielding two elements? Also, why would the Yashiro... nevermind, why would anyone allow her to go and fight it alongside the Traveler? As far as I know, Maguu Kenki are still malfunctioning robots. It could easily strike her down with a single swipe.
Remember Shinobu's hangout event? Yeah, she survived the encounter only because of the Traveler. Even as little as two ronin would likely be too much for her and her noodle arms (a single blocked hit from these guys could knock her off-balance easily. I mean, just look at how buff they are). Her Vision isn't the strongest of the element, especially that she hurts herself to heal others. That line about Shinobu's anger is a joke for sure.
Yanfei is a lawyer, not a warrior. She likely never practised combat. I mean, she just kind of throws Pyro at her opponents without a shadow of a techinque. Even though Madame Ping is her mentor, the Adeptus wasn't a fighter herself, so it's unlikely she taught Yanfei how to fight back. Yanfei also doesn't leave Liyue Harbor that much (the Chasm quest was another one of those absurd situations), so she probably isn't interested with learning how to fight.
Yao Yao has a polearm, most likely the lenght of a standard double-handed sword. Don't tell me it's anywhere near effective.

Thanks!
