now i don’t know if this is true or if this is just something that i have always thought of when it comes to hugging.

but joel and tommy are very equal here in this hug

so when it comes to the position that two people are in while hugging, it means different things… at least to me

so during a hug, if person 1 has their arms around person 2’s shoulders and person 2 has their arms lower, around person 1’s chest or waist, then person 2 is the one really being comforted or supported.

the person with their arms higher and firmer in the hug is more dominating. meaning maybe they are the comforter or are more in control.

so here, for tommy and joel’s hug, either one of them has an arm over the other’s shoulder on one side and under the other’s arm on the other side. they’re equal.

something could also be said for the height of their arms alone. its a high energy hug. they’ve just been reunited after many years and they’ve both got a lot of emotions. and in this moment, they’re very happy emotions. so they hug high. generally, in hugs related to sad emotions, people will wrap their arms lower around the other person’s body.

this is probably an over analysis but its such a great moment between joel and tommy. its really nice to think that both of them are equally excited to see each other again.

On one hand, I'm pretty sure Zagreus would really like anybody who can singlehandedly beat Hades, on the other hand, I'm totally convinced he would hate with a burning passion, anybody who constantly hurts his little brother's feelings.

Therefore, when Zagreus finds out that Percy defeated their father, after Achilles worriedly tells him about it, he's at first super impressed, so he asks Nico about his friend, or whatever they are of each other, and then Nico tells him stuff, that he doesn't even think are that bad, really.

Following act, Zagreus is just like, next time I make it to the surface, I'm speedruning to your Camp to bitchslap that kid.

Nico does not, in fact, allow Zagreus to make a speedrun towards Camp Half-Blood, but Zagreus is determined.
