So, genuine question, a ruidusborn can be exalted multiple times (Petrov exalted twice before he met Bells Hells) so what are the chances that Liliana exalted again today because that reminded me of Imogen's exaltation, kind of.
And does each exaltation give more power to the person?
Sixes are hard-working, responsible, and trustworthy. They foresee problems and foster cooperation, but can also become anxious, defensive, and evasive. They can be cautious and indecisive, but also defiant, reactive, and rebellious. They typically have problems with self-doubt and suspicion.
Sixes are the most loyal to their family and friends. They will hang on to relationships of all kinds far longer than most other types. Sixes are also loyal to beliefs, ideas, and systems – even to the belief that all authorities should be questioned or defied.
Enneagram 6w5s are very loyal people who value clarity and honesty. They love to be surrounded by good people, and they appreciate having supportive and trusting relationships that can be their safe space.
Another thought about the mechanics of being a Ruidusborn. I don't think it's spoilery for c3e83, but on the off chance it is I'll bump it down a bit.
Does the difficulty of resisting the call of Predathos increase for the Ruidusborn with every exposure to the god-eater or does it stay constant? My gut says it increases, but I don't have anything to base that on. The answer to that question might be really important to Imogen and Fearne (and to the rest of Bell's Hells as a result) in future episodes.
I am *terrified* for Imogen, and the others trying to convince her to push deeper, particularly Orym, because I don’t think she’ll be able to get back out eventually. And I don’t honestly think Prym in particular understands the risk, or if anything I am worried that the risk is much larger than he comprehend when saying her risking herself is “worth it.”
Losing her and possibly *waking Predathos up before folks are ready* doesn’t feel worth it.
Plus, this is just the Recon mission, don’t commit to something like that *before* getting what you need!I am *terrified* for Imogen, and the others trying to convince her to push deeper, particularly Orym, because I don’t think she’ll be able to get back out eventually.
I do agree with his sentiment that this isn’t a tourist stop. Which, kinda happened with FCG and Fearne obsessing over the “Bisonphants”
Very iffy also about this whole “Ruidusborn are a network” deal, feel like a real: “First meal for the Elder God/Battery for Ascension” kinda deal.
Also was *not* expecting other sophonts up on Ruidus that weren’t Reiloran, I mean I theorized that what we consider Reilorans aren’t actually all one species, but I’m very curious to learn more about this “Thick Podlings” & any other sophonts that could appear.
Can I bring up that Imogen took both the Fey Touched & Shadow Touched feats even before we knew of both the Feywild and Shadowfell being connected to the Ruidus plot?
And at level 1, she had the Telekinetic feat... as a sign of her being MOON touched.
Ruidus only showed up in the Feywild after Fearne, who is Ruidusborn, went there for the first time.
the implication being that it somehow followed her across planes. that it would follow any of its own the same way.
which would mean that Fearne is the first Ruidusborn to ever enter the Feywild. ever. in all of Exandrian history.
putting aside that time is a weird soup - I find that pretty hard to believe! we know of some historical Ruidusborn from various Exandrian sourcebooks, and I just think it's very unlikely that no Ruidusborn have ever been to the Feywild until Fearne.
EXCEPT.
something pretty big happened to the Feywild about 40-50 years before the events of C3: Vox Machina opened a doorway to the Material Plane for Artagan.
and doors work both ways.
what if Fearne isn't the first Ruidusborn ever to enter the Feywild?
what if she's just the first to do it after VM opened the door?
So I know it was mentioned that Astrid is like a year older than Bren. If I imagine that Eadwulf was as well... Think it would be interesting if Trent figured out that Bren was actually Ruidusborn (self-indulgent headcanon), and that paired with Bren’s inherent intelligence and talent is why he was lowkey obsessed with Bren, even years after he ran away from the Sanatorium.
Fearne' dad Ollie had a vision of her reaching for ruidus' power while surrounded by the feywild dying and Fearne's grandma Morri is an archfey known as The Fatestitcher. It's possible that through Morri raising her and guiding her way to destory the malleus key in the feywild that Morri saved the feywild and Fearne. I also have a theory that Morri's the reason everyone teleported away from the malleus key in the material plane. Maybe she used her powers over fate to do a fate string related teleportation on the group to save Fearne and her friends from what was going to happen. The teleportation being related to fate could make sense because some of the group was sent to Wildemount, Chetney's home. A lot of his fate is probably tied up there. It also seemed like FCG was teleported somewhere relative to Aeor.
I don't think Predathos will be freed anytime soon because of all the sabotage on Ludinus' plan, so I think maybe as a partial success everyone that was present when the key went off might become puppets of Predathos. Maybe Morri saw that Predathos was going to take control of Fearne's fate string and decided to save them. If she did do that, then I think Morri might've paid a significant price to do it. It'd probably take an insane amount of power to teleport a group of people while in a different dimension. We haven't seen any confirmed fey that're ruidusborn, so it's possible Fearne's the only one, so by saving her, Morri could've prevented Predathos from having a foothold in the Feywild, at least for now.
