So I was looking at the prompts(I'm so late 😭😭😭) and I had an idea for one of my ships, and the idea is in line with the prompt and pretty fluffy but both the fandom and ship is pretty dark. So will it still count as a part of this challenge if the work itself is fluffy with references to darker times?

Even if the fic itself turns out a little less fluffy, that's still okay for us. I'll be honest, for two of the prompts even I have rather sad/dark ideas - so even if that's the case, as long as you would say there's some fluff in there, all is fine 😊

In the end, we want this event to be fun for all of you. We're not going to check fics on their fluffiness or how well they've fulfilled the prompt, so please enjoy and Happy Creating 💚

Rule Clarification.

In my rules I have a link to potential triggering content on the blog listed here.

This list is to warn my followers what triggers may be brought up when you interact with each muse. My only personal triggers are images of and explicit description of SA and rape. Though the discussion comes up in Ash's and Shorter's backgrounds as canonically in BF Ash was abused. And it's implied Shorter has been too, it is only a mention of it happening for him in the past. Which is why I warn to approach them with caution, in the survivor verse they are both recovering from the effects of it.

But for the other listed triggers like food, piracy, military themes and so on, these are things associated with each of my muses it's listed for regarding aesthetic and recurring themes in their canon. So it's more a warning for you in case you have one of those as a trigger.

For example: If military themes and politics are a trigger, then warn me that you have them if you plan on interacting with Griffin as he's a Vietnam Veteran with PTSD, so war is a huge recurring theme in his plotline. So some things might need altered first or you may need to pick a different character to write with or we could do an AU verse. Hope this clears things up a little and helps!

How do I send references for an OC if I want to ask for one? Can't find anywhere in the signup form to submit pictures so uhhhh I'm confused

If your references are posted somewhere, for example, through Google Drive link, or on any of your social media, then you can place them in "Anything else you'd like to let the mods or your gifter know?" section.

Just be sure that the links you share are ones that are easily available for your gifter to access. Worse case, we can directly email your gifter your references.

Do you think Queen Prisma and King Dedede would get along as fellow rulers or would they have arguements cause they don't share the same opinions on how a kingdom should be run?

Their personalities and opinions would clash a lot at the beginning but I think they would eventually come around and have a mutual understanding with one another if they worked together ^^

Prisma is a great leader and highly respected by her subjects, so I think Dedede would pick up on that and subtly (or...not so subtly) try to match her leadership style so more people will respect him too.

...For example he may only make decisions based on whether or not it has him appear like a good leader to her xD

It would take them a while to coexist like this though, I can see plenty moments of them bumping heads to be inevitable, ahaha.

How humorous it is to say that I, a traveler like me who can never stay in one place for long, would be holding such an event. It is an event that is typically reserved for those who stay put and collect, to then find themselves overcrowded with bobbles and trinkets to find the need to regift them - for a price of course.

But it appears that my little shop has been around for a year now, and I suppose that due to that homely nature I find with keeping it, I too have turned into those creatures that make it a habit to sell their old belonging.

After all, a year's worth of clutter must be dealt with, even for a peddler such as myself. And I have always found that it is better to give things no longer needed away than to sell them; generosity is in my nature after all.

So please, dear traveler, have a look around at all the trinkets, charms, and books you see upon my shelves and see if one catches your eye or even heart.

After all, trash can become a treasure in the right hands

hei! this will by my first time participating in flufftober and i wanted ask if there's a schedule for posting prompt extras/alt prompt fics like there is for the normal prompts.

And, nope, there's no posting schedule for the alt prompts, they can be used however you like. Here's some of the things people usually do:

- replace a day from the original list, in which case most people would post it on that day (but not necessary)

- mix them into an entry for another day, basically as further inspiration for that entry

- just post them whenever as an additional entry because they inspire you

Okay I haven't talked about Judas OR the Judas album in a while so I'm going to share this analysis I finally placed and I'm losing my mind about

In the song Field of Blood (song 5,) the chorus ends with a line I've never quite been able to find a suitable conclusion about. Right. (Putting my rambling under a read more, the screenshots make this long)

Oh, okay, "what is my god," he's having a crisis of faith. Why is God so cruel as to order Jesus be killed (reminder that the album is a mix of biblical and Gnostic canon, where Jesus asked Judas to be the one to betray him.)

WRONG

If we move two tracks ahead in the album to Death is Just a Kiss Away, right before the last chorus we have these lines:

Which is insane! Because this part is actually saying "you have two gods, God and Jesus" (sun and moon, as I'll get to) "and no matter which you choose" (obeying the kill command or refusing to kill Jesus) "you're going to piss everyone off"! Okay now I know, "but where did you get sun and moon/God and Jesus" and HERE I TELL YOU:

Jesus is CONSTANTLY referred to with constellation imagery! (There's a whole song about it!) The Gospel of Judas includes the quotes (from Jesus) "Judas, your star has led you astray" and "the star that leads the way is your star." The album takes this and RUNS with it. Makes Jesus Judas's guiding star. There is SO MUCH night/star symbolism going on here, mostly in Constellation, but also from A World Where we Belong:

SO BASICALLY: considering that Jesus is heavily referred to with night sky imagery and they're literally both referred to as "two moons aligned," it isn't unreasonable to conclude that the line from Just a Kiss Away is in fact talking about God/Jesus. WHICH MEANS

When Judas is about to hang himself and he pleadingly asks "what is my god?"

HE DOESN'T KNOW IF IT'S GOD OR JESUS BECAUSE HE'S FUCKING IN LOVE WITH HIM APNDOANSOANS HE OBEYED GOD BECAUSE HE'S GOD BUT HE'S KILLING HIMSELF OVER JESUS. I HAVE MANY OTHER LINES ABOUT THIS (DEVOTION TO JESUS, NOT GOD) BUT THAT'S A DIFFERENT TOPIC

Design; 9/10 - stub legs!! he's doing a little dance!!! He reminds me of lechonk from pokemon but that might just be me idk. One of my favorite character design tropes is "little guy hides under disguise"!! Also I love the hats scary face!

Purpose/Effectiveness; 8/10 okay i still dont know anything about dragonquest but i did a lot more research this time!! The wiki said that it was a monster with a low-level attack, making me think that it's probably one of the first you encounter in the game. Honestly this is really good low-level enemy design! It isnt that scary or imposing, but still enough to let the player know it is gonna attack you. Also wizard hat + using magic! We stan magic boars here!! From what the wiki also said it looks like it has other varients?? So as you go into more dangerous places you encounter more dangerous hatwitches?? That is actually really cool if it's true

Overall; 9/10 - this little piggy cursed your entire bloodline

What are the rules for Zucest week?

The list I have on my mind is not really rules rules but guidelines and clarifications, but anyway, here you go anon.

1) Must contain Zucest. I think that much is obvious. It can be pining without relationship, it can be the process of establishing the relationship, it can take place during the relationship, it can be past Zucest after a nasty break up if you want some angst. Any type of Zucest, as long as it's there.

2) If somebody wants to, they can add a different side ship, but don't forget our main focus is Zucest. Fics that focus on different ships and toss Zucest to the sidelines will not be rebloged or associated with Zucest Week. Don't making a Maiko fic that happens to mention he fooled around with Azula once in the past.

3) Threesomes/Foursomes/Orgies are allowed. But it's essential that two out of the people in the gang bang will be Azula and Zuko and that they will be each other's primary focus. Zuko can have a harem, but Azula must be his favourite.

4) The threesomes/foursomes/orgies from "rule" number three can of course be incestuous. Let the Fire Family fuck their differences away, I don't mind. I won't be policing anyone's incest in this event, it's all about incest. But, as mentioned in rule three, Zuko and Azula must be each other's main focus. All fire family incest is glorious, but Zucest is the star of this show.

5) The following list of kinks had been deemed too sinful and disgusting for my tastes, so as the primary figure of morality of this world and as the center of the universe, I decided that anything containing the following kinks will not be associated with my event:

Literally, just do whatever the hell you want. I'm not kink police. It's fiction. We don't need kink police. Write whatever disgusting, sinful, twisted, illegal pornography you want. I'll still reblog it. This is an event for the people. I'm not restrict said people from having fun writing and reading whatever type of fic they want.

6) Smut is allowed and encouraged (Duh)

7) If for whatever reason, something happens, and you don't manage to post your work the day the drabble you used is meant for, that's okay. I'll still reblog even if it's one or two days late. If for some reason, you don't manage to complete all the works for the week, that's fine, I'll reblog as many as you've managed to post. If for some reason you complete a couple of works after the week is over, that's fine, I'll still reblog (I'll just need you to notify/tag me, because I won't go searching for fics in the tags after the week is over). I'll always reblog anything you guys write, at any time you write it.

8) Tag everything you post as "Zucest Week" or "Zucest Week 2024" or both. This helps everyone who's interested find your fic, and it helps me track it down and reblog it.

9) If, for whatever reason, you want to post works, but you don't want me to reblog them, let me now.

10) Some other event planners don't want the audience to suggest smutty prompts, because they don't want a day of the week to end up being filled with only smut prompt and force somebody to either write smut when they don't want to or not participate. Personally, I have found a different method to organize and select prompts, and that way I've managed to eliminate the possibilities of that happening, so write whatever prompt ideas you want, it's fine.

11) Yes, you can write a prompt idea even if you don't plan on writing. Not everyone is good at writing, and you don't have to write to participate to the event. You can also participate with drawings, poems, honorary posts or just by reading, enjoying and boosting fics of people that wrote something. And anyone who participates has the right to suggest a prompt.

Now, I got a couple of asks from a couple of anons asking for advice as to what they should do if they want to write for Zucest Week anonymously, so that they won't be associated with it and won't have to deal with the rage of some haters and antis. I get that not everyone is able to put up with that type of negativity. So this is how I can accommodate those people:

For Ao3

I recommend either publishing a fic as an anonymous author or publishing it normal and orphaning the work. In those cases, you won't be able to post your own fic on Tumblr without revealing your blog, so those people are free to send me an anon ask with a link for their anonymous/orphan work and I'll spread it around Tumblr for you. You can also privately message me and I'll spread around the work without revealing who wrote it and send it to me.

For Tumblr

If you write on Tumblr instead if Ao3, or if you write on both, but don't want to make a Tumblr post with your work to avoid the hate, you can type out the fic in an anon ask or a submission, and I'll reply to it with a simple dot/period/(.), so that it can be posted in the Zucest week blog without the author having to reveal their identity

For prompts

When I share the document for suggesting pronptsy, I'm certainly not monitoring who logs in to write something. So you can type out a prompt and still be anonymous, even to me.
