16:00. Daytime. Zaporizhzhia. Reading a book. A rumble in the sky. An explosion. Fear. Panic. Absence of anxiety. Smoke. Police. Firefighters. Ambulance.
No, this is not a horror movie scenario. This is the present of Ukrainians. The present of children, adults, and the elderly. The present of Zaporizhzhia... which once again suffered from the Russians. And you were just reading a book at that time, despite the lack of light, smiling at some of the lines. But then, one moment, and this peace you've been looking for for so long is replaced by panic, fear, and uncertainty. You drop everything and run to make sure it's not your neighbors. You see smoke, people running, and then you hear the sirens of police, ambulances, and firefighters. And you realize it's a few streets away. You start to remember your prayers, thank all the gods that you are alive.
A few long minutes pass, and there you are: a destroyed house and a woman under the rubble. The alarm map is empty. Inside you, there is nothing but fear that pulls you to the very bottom. But despite such trials, you are still unbreakable 💪🇺🇦

Russia's Biggest Attacks Yet
Three people were killed when an apartment block was hit in central Kryvyi Rih and another died in shelling in Kherson in the south, they said.
Tumblr media
Russia fired more than 70 missiles at Ukraine on Friday in one of its biggest attacks since the start of the war, knocking out power in the second-biggest city and forcing Kyiv to implement emergency blackouts nationwide, Ukrainian officials said.
Three people were killed when an apartment block was hit in central Kryvyi Rih and another died in shelling in Kherson in the south, they said. Russian-installed officials in occupied eastern Ukraine said 12 people had died by Ukrainian shelling.
In an evening video address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia still had enough missiles for several more massive strikes and he again urged western allies to supply Kyiv with more and better air defence systems.
Zelensky said Ukraine was strong enough to bounce back. "Whatever the rocket worshippers from Moscow are counting on, it still won't change the balance of power in this war," he said.
Kyiv warned on Thursday that Moscow planned a new all-out offensive early next year, around a year after its Feb. 24 invasion, in which wide areas of Ukraine have been shattered by missiles and artillery but little of it taken by Russian forces.
Russia has rained missiles on Ukrainian energy infrastructure almost weekly since early October after several battlefield defeats, but Friday's attack seemed to inflict more damage than many others, with snow and ice now widespread.
After some repairs, Ukrainian grid operator Ukrenergo lifted a state of emergency that forced it to impose blackouts. But Ukrenergo also warned that more time would be needed to repair equipment and restore electricity than in previous bombardments.
Russia flew warplanes near Ukraine to try to distract its air defences, Ukraine's air force said. Its army chief said 60 of 76 Russian missiles had been shot down but Energy Minister German Galushchenko said at least nine power-generating facilities had been hit.Read More On..

today I woke up at five in the morning
my alarm clock is russian ballistic missiles
and then more missiles. and more. and shahed drones after that.
I know you most likely won't see it on the news in your country. But despite the low media coverage, Ukraine needs you now more than ever. Now that we receive no military aid from the US. Every penny counts. Please, if you have any funds to spare, consider donating to one of the Ukrainian non-profits listed here. Thank you. The attacks continues still, but we're alive so everything will be alright.

world war 3 jokes were never funny in the first place especially for people with anxiety and paranoia. I hope all the people making those jokes realize what the fuck they're saying and shut the fuck up and think about it for a while

“the reason people care about a war in which more civilians have been killed within a few months with 0 consequence compared to the ukraine/russia war must be because they hate jewish people!” 🤡
the situation in palestine has been ongoing for nearly a century, the death toll is astronomical & the level of violence is unprecedented even when compared to the most violent of wars. the number of kids & women killed is unprecedented. but ok… it must be antisemitism i guess
anyways

you think israel is the only country claiming that their war crimes are totally justifiable bc their enemy was in the hospital? if that makes attacking civilian infrastructure “ambiguous” then congrats, it’s ambiguous in the case of russia’s war crimes too. you’re supporting war crimes on one end & pretending to oppose it on another.

The group claiming responsibility for the Ddos attack on Ao3 is not a Sudanese hacking group. It is, however, a Russian group who's goal is to spread islamophobia amung lgbt+ communities.
Why?
Because if they breed islamophobia in queer spaces they can show Islamic states, such as Saudi Arabia and Iran, that the West supports the 'big bad queer people' and wants to attack Islamic countries. So Russia can align themselves diplomatically and millitarily so they can raise the price of oil and win the war on Ukraine.
Edit: ALSO SHOUT OUT TO THE AO3 VOLUNTEERS! Y'ALL TOOK ON THE RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT AND WON.

Dear friends, I know there are many people here who care, so I want to tell you a little bit about a family from Zaporizhzhia who lost their home twice and need our help. The first time a rocket destroyed their apartment on Stalevariv Street, and the second time a rocket hit their country house.
Suspilne Zaporizhzhia, contacted the family and asked for their details to collect aid.

Russian Terrorist Attack
The Historic Transfiguration Cathedral in Ukraine Destroyed in Russian Strikes
Russian missiles badly damaged dozens of Ukrainian architectural landmarks, including a historic Orthodox cathedral in the southern port city of Odesa, sparking outrage and prompting President Volodymyr Zelensky to vow retaliation.
The strikes – the latest in a wave of attacks on Odesa – killed at least one person and injured several others, Ukrainian officials said. At least 25 architectural monuments were destroyed, a regional military official said.
“Russians deliberately aimed their missiles at the historic city center of Odesa, which is under the UNESCO protection. Everything that was built with hard work by great architects is now being destroyed by cynical inhumans,” Oleh Kiper said.
The Transfiguration Cathedral is Odesa’s largest church building. It was consecrated in 1809, destroyed during the Soviet era in 1936 before being rebuilt when Ukraine became an independent nation.

If ace and arophobes really are coming back to tumblr then I'm not apologizing for how nasty I'll be to them btw. I've got no plans to seek them or their rhetoric out but if it happens organically then I'mma tear them bitches a new one and I don't care if it leads to them hatebombing me with death and rape threats again like they did when I was 14 and 17 <3 theres 10 million problems out there in the world that need solving but theoretical cishet men 'infiltrating' the queer community ain't one of them
