Imagine if some of the characters had their personalities swapped from the very beginning: Saruhiko and Misaki, Kuro and Yukari, Mikoto and Munakata, Seri and Izumo, and Anna and Neko (maybe the last one is a bit too much?).

I don’t want to think about Anna running around the bar naked, Kusanagi would get arrested D: I’m assuming this would be an AU where the actual events are the same (like Fushimi still leaves Homra for S4, Yukari still leaves Ichigen, etc) but everyone’s personalities are swapped. For Yata and Fushimi this would be interesting because I feel like someone with an honest personality like Yata wouldn’t be good at the ‘betrayal’ but so maybe it’s like how I imagine scenarios where Yata is the one to leave: in this case Fushimi is open and honest about wanting to go to S4, because he thinks Munakata is amazing, and Yata is the one who takes this as a betrayal because he feels like Fushimi is leaving him behind. He’s upset that Fushimi who always followed him has suddenly found a new person to believe in and Yata doesn’t care much for Kings anyway — he likes that he got power from Mikoto and he respects Mikoto’s abilities, but he doesn’t like calling Mikoto his King — so hearing Fushimi wholeheartedly call someone else his King pisses Yata off. Fushimi feels like this is his fault that Yata is angry with him and wants to mend the friendship but Yata won’t allow it, always trying to goad Fushimi into a fight, and Fushimi feels like maybe he wouldn’t have been abandoned like this if he could just somehow explain himself properly.

Kuroh and Yukari, can you just imagine Shiro’s face when Kuroh shows up all sparkly and making beautiful poses. Kuroh would definitely be more loose and less of Shiro’s strict wife here, I imagine in this AU he found Ichigen the most beautiful thing in the world while the stricter Yukari disapproved of how Ichigen took things so easily and wanted to challenge him to show the true strength of a dedicated swordsman. Kuroh still carries around his recorder to play the glorious words of Miwa Ichigen and is dedicated to finding out if the new Colorless King is someone who can be as dedicated as Ichigen was. Ultimately he finds true beauty in Shiro’s way of Kingship and pledges himself, while Yukari has already taken his place as the guy cooking and cleaning for jungle. When they meet each other again I imagine Kuroh being thrilled by it and wanting to fight Yukari seriously, while Yukari is displeased that Kuroh hasn’t found any discipline at all and is just trying to keep Kuroh out of the way so that Yukari can carry out his King’s will.

Mikoto and Munakata would be interesting, especially considering their clansmen and how in this scenario people would be presumably drawn in by different traits. I wonder if Mikoto’s Sword would still be unstable in this scenario, just due to him being the Red King, even though his temper would be much more even. Maybe he’s so focused on planning and thinking about the consequences of his power  that it’s easy for his Weismann level to fluctuate, Totsuka in this scenario helps keep him steady by distracting him from his thoughts with random comments and fun hobbies. Mikoto would probably be more interested in the hobbies in this scenario too, very intrigued by new things, and he and Totsuka can be a bit of a terror for Kusnaagi. Munakata meanwhile is perhaps still focused on his own goals but he considers violence an important part of making those goals a reality. He’s more stable than Mikoto simply by virtue of being Blue King even though he prefers to solve problems with fists rather than with words, and can be often found napping in his office rather than doing bothersome paperwork. 

Kusanagi and Awashima…would probably not be hugely different, all things considered, I think the main change would be Kusanagi is a little more strict and Awashima a little more personable. I could see Kusanagi trying somewhat more to rein Mikoto in, like he’s acutely aware of the condition of Mikoto’s Sword and he’s less likely to want Mikoto to be able to do as he wishes because it will endanger others. I wonder in this AU too would Kusanagi want to be the one who kills Mikoto rather than Munakata, like feeling it should be his responsibility as Mikoto’s second. Awashima meanwhile is more friendly with the rest of the force but also stern when she needs to be, she’s more of a trusted big sister to everyone. She wants Munakata to be able to realize his goals but is also willing to talk back to him a little more, like she treats him more as a friend than as a superior.

DC Titans Requests - CLOSED

Hello! So, I have decided that I’m going to open requests for Titans again. For reference, my main focus is on the versions of the characters from the HBO show - so if you send in a request for Dick Grayson or Jason Todd, that will be the characterization that I base my writing around. I am opening requests, because (as I mentioned in another post) Tumblr stole all of my old requests from my other blog, and that is one of the reasons that I moved blogs. I like having requests to work on to complete shorter fics in between working on longer fics and editing re-posts. I will usually work on requests with the goal of the fic being one thousand words or two thousand words long, so I do prefer requests that are more simplistic. 

In the past, I have reblogged prompt lists for requests, but the past few times I have opened requests, I have used my own prompt list, and I find that it works better. Below is the prompt list I have made - you don’t have to use ideas off this list, but the ideas off the prompt list are perfectly suited for a fic that is shorter and easily completed. You can definitely send me a request based on your own idea, just make sure it’s not too detailed - otherwise it’s not likely to get completed in a timely manner. (Also keep in mind, all requests are not guaranteed to get done. I don’t complete requests in order, I just do whichever ones speak to me. And in a batch of twenty requests, I am only likely to complete two or three. I don’t rush to complete all requests because it’s not creatively fulfilling.) 

Please read all the information in this post before sending in a request. Also please keep in mind, the prompt list below does make references to kinks and sexual situations, pregnancy, and death. All of my fics will have thorough warnings on them if you’re not comfortable with any of these topics. 

Titans characters I write for: Gar Logan, Jason Todd, Dick Grayson, Hank Hall, Dawn Granger, Donna Troy, Kory Anders, Barbara Gordon, and Conner (with Conner, I feel more comfortable writing smut and sexual situations with S4 Conner/Luthor!Conner, and I would write angst or fluff with any version of him). 

Also aside from short blurbs/short fics, I would also love get some requests for MLTs - Most Likely To, where you pose a situation and I say which characters would most likely do it/be into it - this can be anything from certain kinks or sexual situations to something cozy and fluffy like a coffee date. Just use your imagination. I am also taking requests for ‘how would they react to’ - where you ask how the characters would react to something - again, could be a sexual situation or something fluffy. And if I am writing these, it will mostly likely be with two or three characters at a time, and you can pick which characters if you want to.

Requests can be sent to this blog or my writing blog @sundrop-writes - I don’t accept requests in DMs because it’s very hard to keep them organized and come back to them that way. Also, finished fics will be posted on my writing blog.

I will accept requests for poly ships. (Character x reader x character.) I am a huge fan of requests like this - I have a long history of writing for Jason x Reader x Gar (aka JayGar x Reader), but for Titans, I would write pretty much any combination of poly relationship because I love all the characters so much.

In your request, please specify if the reader character is female, male, or gender neutral. When I write gender neutral fics, I do not describe the reader’s genitals or gender presentation in any way, so I don’t write ‘GN AFAB reader’ fics. If you want the reader to be described as having a vagina, that would be a fem reader in my fics. 

Also typically, I don’t describe the reader character as having specific traits. I like my reader character to be as broad as possible to appeal to as many people as possible. I don’t write a character that has a specific race, height, hair color, etc. but one exception I have to this rule is that I love writing fat/plus sized readers in my fics. I love spreading love for fat bodies, especially through fics - I love making people feel good about their fatness through the gaze of a fictional character. So definitely feel free to send in requests for a plus sized reader character, as it’s one of my favorite things to write. 

For reference, I will also write about a reader character with autism or chronic illness (someone with chronic pain or a fainting disorder, or someone who uses a cane or a wheelchair), because these are groups that I am a part of and I know that they are not portrayed in fiction often enough. If you have any questions about these aspects, please let me know. 

I will write smut, angst, or fluff, but I mostly prefer writing smut or angst. When requesting smut, please specify if you want the characters to be dominant or submissive. In your request, write ‘sub!reader’ or ‘dom!reader’, something to denote the dynamics to let me know what you want it to be. I am a big fan of writing submissive men, so I won’t shy away from things like that - but I will write any dynamic as long as it’s properly communicated to me. 

I will write for a lot of dark topics and different kinks. In general, the list of things that I won’t write is a lot shorter than the list of things that I will. So if you’re wondering if I’m okay with a request or not, just ask. 

For reference, my big ‘nos’ are: virgin!reader fics, or fics where the reader is sexually inexperienced or portrayed as innocent. I am okay with doing a ‘faux’ innocent reader (someone who is only pretending to be innocent), and I am also okay with writing about a canon character being a virgin and having their first sexual experience with the reader. (That’s something I love writing about, actually.) I am okay with writing about sexual coercion, sexual blackmail, or dubcon. (Or even noncon or cnc, under certain circumstances.) 

Also, I don’t write fics about miscarriages, safeword use, or extreme choking kink. And while I don’t write about miscarriage, I am okay with writing about pregnancy - it’s something I enjoy writing about, actually. I also enjoy writing parenting fics and family fics with children. (I especially love writing fics where a poly throuple has kids, if that's something anyone wants to request.)

s5 martin really is the best and the worst of the character. since s4 was his big character arc season, s5 is most a showcase of that development. the thing about martin’s development though is that i percieve it as, rather than a change in personality, a change in how confident and open he is about that personality. his major traits and flaws are mostly intact, he’s just stopped being so self-apologetic about

in s5, there’s a strong juxtaposition between martin and jon and how they view the situation. because, despite what the initial instinct and impression might be, i’d claim that martin is the one more prone to logical reasoning. it’s just that he often brings strong feelings into how he views that logic. but there’s no use in rationality in this new world, and martin repeatedly struggles to accept dream logic. one of his strongest eye-aligned traits is his refusal to accept that something just is. he has to look further, to get some neat line of actions and consequences that got things here. i think this is present even in his first appearance, with him breaking into vittery’s basement, but his arc of becoming more self-assured has let him question and confront things more and more

issue is, of course, that in a non-logical reality, somebody working off of logic won’t be very realistic. blended in with his strong emotions and sense of justice, martin’s outlook on the apocalypse is unique to our cast. on one hand, these traits in themselves are not inherently negative. his relentless optimism and belief that there must be a solution keeps them moving forward. he’s jon’s reason. were he not there jon might not have ever left the safehouse. but this also poses conflict between the two of them. mag 173 - night night is a prime example. because what’s happening to the children is horrible, and everybody would want to do something about it. but they can’t, and martin in turn cannot accept that. or how he is the one suggesting the murder spree, with very little care for whether it makes a difference because to himjustice is hurting the bad guys

to martin, the world is divided neatly into good and bad, problems have good solutions, and happy endings are possible. and most of theses are not terrible flaws. optimism is not, in itself, a flaw. but like with so much in tma, it’s the circumstances these traits exist in that accentuate their worst aspects

we have had a few people over time talk about animation speed in cas (all my poses are similar in speed anyways, too long of breaks btwn each they aren’t exact lol) and i can only recommend to use casclockspeed .(some number) cheat to slow the animation to your speed.

So. Hi. It's been eight whole years, man.

A lot's changed! I go by Blue, now, and primarily use they/them pronouns. I've graduated from university twice over. I've moved out of my parents' house to live in the city I studied in with my best friend. My mom died, and so did my first cat. I've been diagnosed with hypermobility and fibromyalgia. I still haven't finished that damn book I was working on, lmao.

And now I've reinstalled the sims 3 because a whim to re-read my old sims stories hit me like a nostalgia brick to the face. Bit of a different process in this the year of 2024 of course, but so far it seems to be working alright. Even with the ungodly amount of CC I downloaded, but we'll see if that holds up during gameplay or if I have to trim... (said as if I'm not already thinking 'wow do I really only have this many hairs?)

Recreating them took forever even with genetics to go off but. The boys live!

More rambling under the cut, but TL;DR: I'm in the process of re-creating the most important Pierces and keeping the core family tree as intact as possible, and may get back to posting about my families on a more casual basis than I once did. I also have a sims 4 legacy that might pop up, and a sims 4 version of Elanya and Calypso that might appear. Plus I might need some new actually active blogs to follow.

I'm genuinely kicking past me for deleting my old sims 3 files for reasons I no longer remember, and I'm also kicking them for not having uploaded any of gen 4 for download. BUT, I have access to the the throuple and a chunk of the family from early on, plus the original downloads of all but three of the werewolves. So I think I can recreate part of the family, even if I have to re-make at least those three sims (little Calypso included) by referencing screencaps. Which is going to be easier said than done, as my adventures with the boys have proved, but it'll have to do.

Setting up Cottonwood Hills is proving an adventure 8 years later when finding builds for the residental areas is harder and also half the CC is dead, but I'm getting there.

All those WIP poses I was working on are, unfortunately, gone for good, and I doubt I'm going to get back into making them. I don't even have access to any of the poses I finished and used for the story but didn't upload. I think if I start playing the Pierces again, it's going to start off much more gameplay heavy and only start pulling in more story once I'm sure I'm actually committed. So, even re-downloading other people's poses is going to be a lower priority than other content for a while.

I've been playing sims 4 in the years between, on and off. I have a legacy called the Higas that's on gen 3/4 that maybe I'll post about if I do get back into posting. If it had all the right occults I might have just recreated the Pierces in sims 4 wholesale, despite the things I miss about sims 3 but no fairies = no chance. I might play that AU of Elanya and Calypso without occult traits, though. They are very cute!

I'm going to have to find some new blogs to follow, probably? I think a lot of people dipped around the time I did, or not long after/sometime in the time since, and my dash seems rather slow, but it's hard to really say since I haven't been around in a long time and have no idea what the current vibe is like.

We'll see how it goes. I'm still looking for a job IRL, and I have a lot of other creative commitments, but I really do miss sims 3. I'm sure there'll be features from s4 that I'll miss when actively in 3 (I already forgot there weren't separate friendship/romance bars, for one example, and my god the build mode struggles...) but I saw so many little features when re-reading that I miss.

The Dynamics of S4 Models

SSM (S4) This is the basic structured state space model. It takes a sequence x and produces an output y using learned parameters A, B, C, and a delay parameter Δ. The transformation involves discretizing the parameters (turning continuous functions into discrete ones) and applying the SSM operation, which is time-invariant—meaning it doesn’t change over different time steps.

Selective SSMs enhance conventional SSMs by allowing their parameters to be input-dependent, which introduces a degree of adaptiveness previously unattainable with time-invariant models. SSM + Selection (S6) This variant includes a selection mechanism, adding input-dependence to the parameters B and C, and a delay parameter Δ. Hello! A little dedication to the CC creators of the community 💕

Today's DL is a strange, bendy series of animations designed to test weight-painting! Every time I finish a piece of CC, I wonder if the item moves well with the sim body, and what if the sim bends over, or twists to the side, or raises their arms? So these poses are not meant to look pretty, but rather to make sure your sim can do gardening, yoga etc. in the item you've made or downloaded.

Quality-check Custom Content weight-painting (if the clothing, hair etc. correctly follows the sim's movements)

Click the trait "Active" to use/view

CAS only

Will conflict with any poses/animations that override the Active trait

PS: This is kind of "bonus content", so you can still expect the first May CC to drop soooon 💕 (hoping for tomorrow or Tuesday)

unfortunately we're getting to the point of running out of traits to use that are base game 😔 but! you can just export the animation file through s4s and just plug it into whatever trait you'd like instead - just search "a_cas_" and it'll show every trait in the game!
