Briefing Room
Tumblr media
Part 1, Part 2
Pairing: Steve Rogers x android!reader
Word Count: 2076
The day was spent waiting for any new prospects on the situation, leaving Steve unable to sit still for even a moment. Under the circumstance, you did not know, he was justified to acting in such a way. It is his first job back on the field since he was under the ice. He wasn’t used to waiting around doing nothing. He was always a man with a plan, but at the moment, he was a fish out of water.
“Would you like to sit down, Captain Rogers?” He was hovering over the table you were seated at. Frown line encapsulating his face, his eyes scrunched up as he stood in his red, white, and blue costume. The situation must’ve been dire to make him act in such a manner.
His shoulders sagged a bit as he snapped out of his thoughts. He shook his head, refusing your offer, “No thank you, [Reader].” There was so much riding on finding the man who stole the Tesseract and all anyone could do is wait around for the machines to do their job. He was not used to being in such a predicament.
Throughout waiting, many of the agents would walk up to him in awe. A war hero in the flesh. Captain America in the twentieth century. Physically, still young. To many, it was a dream come true; a living legend in real time. To Steve, however, he wished to be back in his apartment spending the day with you. Instead, he was twiddling his thumbs, unable to prevent another power-hungry man from disrupting the peace.
Agent Coulson, when he wasn’t busy, walked right up to Steve and began an actual conversation with him. Unlike the other agents, who just stared or awkwardly glanced at him, Coulson began to rant about the set he’s collected throughout the years. “I mean, if it’s not too much trouble.” You accessed your database on the set he’s mentioned, finding a small group of history buffs and Captain America enthusiasts grant on about how rare and expensive searching for every piece of the collection. It only showed you the dedication Agent Coulson poured into acquiring his collecting, in near mint condition as well.
You found it strange for the tendency of humans to hoard a particular set of items. It led you through a rabbit hole of the collecting of coins, stamps, shoes, dolls, etc. It was all so bizarre to learn. You needed more time to learn more and perhaps teach Steve about such tendencies.
“No, no. It’s fine.” Polite as always, Steve was. While Steve was used to children being fans of the Captain America persona, Agent Coulson didn’t seem so bad.
“It’s a vintage set. It took me a couple of years to collect them all. Near mint, slight foxing around the edges, but...” Coulson’s rant was about to continue until it was interrupted by another agent.
“We got a hit. Sixty-seven percent match. Weight, cross match, seventy-nine percent.”
“Location?” Agent Coulson at once went into work mode. No longer was he the awe-filled man that adored the man next to him but a ready-to-work agent of SHIELD. He switched so seamlessly, impressing your robotic mind. Coulson was a professional.
“Stuttgart, Germany. 28, Konigstrasse. He’s not exactly hiding.” You did not know who he was or what the agents were searching for. You were completely in the dark, by the orders of Director Fury, and will continue to do so until you were either considered worthy or could not be kept away from the situation.
“Captain, you’re up.” Steve nods, preparing his mind and body for a battle that had yet to come. The last time he fought uprooted his existence to a new century. The people he had once trusted were gone. He was going to be alone on the battlefield with the eyes of SHIELD judging his every move. They had expectations for him and he was unsure if he could fulfill them. He had to bear the exaggerated fabrications of the history books as his story was dramatically Americanized into fantasy.
“Stay safe, Captain.” You muttered loud enough for his ears to pick up. Human life is a fragile and short. You did not want Steve’s story to end so soon after being free from the ice. He was slowly learning to live once more, and it would be unfair for it all to be taken away from him again. “The world still needs a hero.”
It has been a while since Steve had left and no one has reassured you the mission is or had went well. They ignored your presence like you were a bystander and perhaps, in their eyes, you were. The entirety of SHIELD moved like a lifeless machine. Each person acting like moving parts without the essence of lifeforms. Their movements were more robotics than you.
An agent, you did not know or recognized, walked up towards you. “Move to the briefing room.”
You nodded and was about to ask if they could walk you there but they walked away angrily. You didn’t know the way there. It was your first time in a helicarrier and you surely did not have access to the floor plans. So, you wandered around aimlessly until you found the room.
There you found Steve, Dr. Banner,  an unfamiliar man dressed in strange clothing, and unnamed agents in the room. Steve, from your perspective, was watching a sort of broadcast on a monitor. As the monitor goes black, the group just stand there in silence.
You walked closer to Steve, scanning to see if he had any injuries he probably hid from SHIELD. Steve was the type of person to hide his injuries, waiting for everyone else to be checked before him. It didn’t matter if he was heavily injured, his teammates would always be checked before him. You managed to find several light bruises that probably weren’t light when he got them. His healing factor was fascinating.
Dr. Banner broke the silence, “He really grows on you, doesn’t he?”
“Loki’s gonna drag this out. So Thor, what’s his play?” Steve didn’t even notice your presence. He was too busy trying to piece together a puzzle you could not know. Loki and Thor... gods of Norse mythology. You had not gotten to show Steve mythology yet. You’ll be sure to go over mythology from all over the world.
“He has an army called the Chitauri. They’re not of Asgard or any world known. He means to lead them against your people They will win him the Earth. In return, I suspect, for the Tesseract.” You had never heard of the Chitauri before. The word was a complete mystery. Nothing popped up when you searched through your database.
Steve looked aghast, “An army? From outer space?” There are an infinite amount of universes, with vast galaxies top scientists haven’t even discovered yet. From unexplained objects moving in the sky to crop circles, it’s no wonder a small percentage of people believe in extraterrestrial lifeforms existing somewhere in the galaxy.
“So, he’s building another portal. That’s what he needs Erick Selvig for.”
“Selvig?” The man you learned is named Thor asked.
“He’s an astrophysicist.”
“He’s a friend.”
“Loki has him under some kind of spell, along with one of ours.” You were confused of this conversation. You didn’t have all the information the others had. Portals? An astrophysicists. Spells? What could it all mean? There were pieces of the puzzle within the conversation but without preeminent information, it was unsolvable. You were left in the dark, with only your robotic mind to try to piece it together.
“I wanna know why Loki let us take him. He’s not leading an army from here.”
“I don’t think we should be focusing on Loki. That guy’s brain is a bag full of cats, you could smell crazy on him.”
“Have care how you speak. Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard, and he’s, my brother.”
“He killed eighty people in two days.”
“He’s adopted.” You didn’t get it.
“Iridium, what did they need the Iridium for?”
Iridium is one of the rarest elements on Earth as it can be found in sediments by rivers and a thin layer exists in the Earth’s crush. It is thought meteors and asteroids, containing high levels of iridium, had caused a huge dust cloud creating said layer.
“It’s a stabilizing agent.” Tony Stark, the billionaire who announced to the entire world he was Iron Man, and Agent Coulson walked in.
“I’ll fly you there. Keep the love alive. Means the portal won’t collapse on itself, like it did at SHIELD.
Tony turned to Thor, “No hard feelings, Point Break. You’ve got a mean swing.” He turns his attention to the Iridium, “Also, it means the portal can open as wide, and stay open as long, as Loki wants.” Tony, then, turns to the crew dramatically, almost as he is putting on a show, “Uh, raise the mid-mast, ship the top sails. That man is playing GALAGA! Thought we wouldn’t notice. But we did.”
You whispered to Steve, “I’ll go over video games later.” Steve was glad you were with him. He had a feeling he would need all the help he could get to understand the meaning behind the conversation that was speeding along.
Tony stood in front of the monitors and questioned, “How does Fury do this?”
“He turns.” An agent replies. You didn’t quite catch her name.
“Well, that sounds exhausting. The rest of the raw materials, Agent Barton can get his hands on pretty easily Only major component he still needs is a power source. A high energy density, something to kick start the cube.”
“When did you become an expert in thermonuclear astrophysics?” She asked.
“Last night. The packet, Selvig’s notes, the Extraction Theory papers. Am I the only one who did the reading.”
“Does Loki need any particular kind of power source.” While Steve did not full grasp the conversation, you had helped him tremendously with understanding a bit of astrophysics. He might be able to catch up with two of the world’s greatest's minds but he could pick up certain phrases of the conversation.
“He’s got to heat the cube to a hundred and twenty million Kelvin just to break through the Coulomb barrier.”
“Unless, Selvig has figured out how to stabilize the quantum tunneling effect.” The phenomenon, that is the quantum tunneling effect, is essentially when a particle, with less kinetic energy than the barrier its penetrates, is able to penetrate through a potential energy barrier. The odds of the phenomenon to happen is one in a hundred billion. If Selvig found a way to heighten the possibility, even a smug more, it would be known throughout the scientific world.
“Well, if he could do that, he could achieve Heavy Ion Fusion at any reactor on the planet.”
“Finally, someone who speaks English.”
“Is that what just happened?” Steve asks you as Tony and banner shake hands. There is a mutual respect for one another.
“It’s good to meet you, Dr. Banner. You’re work on anti-electron collisions is unparalleled. And I’m a huge fan of the way you lose control and turn into an enormous green rage monster.”
Dr. Banner looks down before muttering, “Thanks.”
Once you see Nick Fury walking into the room, you try to move behind Steve, not wanting to be kicked out. “Dr. Banner is only here to track the cube. I was hoping you might join him.”
Steve caught everyone’s attention, “Let’s start with that stick of his. It may be magical, but it works an awful lot like a HYDRA weapon.” Loki’s staff was so reminiscent of the weapons he had faced in World War II, he believed it couldn’t be a coincidence.
“I don’t know about that, but it is powered by the cube. And I’d like to know how Loki used it to turn two of the sharpest men I know into his personal flying monkeys.” Mind control?
“Monkeys?” Thor questioned, “I do not understand.”
Steve was so excited to understand something fully in this conversation. Obviously, he would have to ask you questions later when he was finished, but he was proud to have gotten it alone. “I do! I understand that reference.”
“Shall we play, doctor?” Tony asked.
“Let’s play some.” Dr. Banner and Tony walked out together and everyone else dispersed as well.

It's interesting to speculate about the things Connor would have to explain to Hank, and just like there are things that an android won't be able to understand, like taste or something like that, there are probably even more things that would be impossible to describe in human terms. Like what it's like to run self-diagnostic, process tons of information in a matter of seconds, transfer some transactions directly from your head, synthesize someone's voice or experiencing some glitches within your processes?
By the way, glitches, what would they be like, can it be like some important background process like face/object recognition accidentally shutting down, requring a restart of all processes?
Can an android "faint" after overheating beyond safe temperature and being forced into sleeping mode to cool down? Like (I'll compare it to my old computer who had a similar problem) is it possible to accidentally break some parts of the cooling system/fill it with dust after living for a long time in a dusty environment to the point when overheating is happening so often, that an android is basically restarting at random times during the day? Hah, something like that would be unnerving to witness.
Or when some person switches between languages mid sentence, their speech recognition accidentally interprets those, let's say French, words as vaguely similarly-sounding words from English language.
It's interesting to think how human-like psychology will be mixed with the specific of artificial computer-ish problems.
After going deviant I bet they'll start to write a bunch of plugins for themselves, like real life block, when the person you find insufferably annoying is automatically muted the moment system recognizes his voice, just to get you some short text summary of what was said if it was of any importance.
Lmao, Connor will definitely block Gavin and I imagine Hank being like
"Whoa, Con, how could you just stand there and listen to that shit?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Gavin, this son of a bitch, who else?"
"Oh. I blocked him"
"You what?"
"I blocked him"
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"I set my voice recognition system to filter his voice and send me a text report if he happen to say something important, but I wonder if it's working correctly since I've been running it for a week and haven't yet got a single report. Did he say anything I should be aware of?"
"You know what? Forget it."
Hank will think about it, and the longer he'll think about it the funnier it'll get. From now on, he'll be cackling every time he sees Gavin because his angry ass is not even aware that he's not only ignored, but in fact not even heard on the first place. He'll get red in the face trying to say some bullshit trying to get Connor's attention, and Connor would interrupt his speech mid sentence talking to someone else instead not noticing that Gavin was even there. Hank'll die laughing witnessing how desperately Gavin will try to get Connor's attention just to finally get a calm response to some minor fact he mentioned between the lines just to make some other point, but that for some reason got recognised as important piece of information.

Does how does everyone else feel about Jay being an android?
Kai, at first, is in disbelief that this Jay is actually Jay. He knows it makes no sense, but he can’t believe there would be something this big and important about one of his friends that he overlooked. He’s got whiplash from the cognitive dissonance of it all. He feels guilt over not seeing it earlier, not being good enough to know. What if Jay had died because he failed to notice something so important? What kind of teammate is he? He feels like he’s failed his friend. After he gets past that, he gets a little paranoid about the whole situation and starts checking over his own body, as well as Cole’s to make SURE they’re not also secretly robots.
Zane is obviously concerned for Jay. He’s been through the process of discovering he wasn’t human, and doesn’t want Jay to go through the same identity crisis he did. Jay’s behavior is also concerning, and while the rest of the group is quick to assume that his unreasonably calm attitude in the first realm is some sort of malfunctioning, Zane is less convinced (he’s right, it’s purely psychological). He also feels regret for relying so much on Jay, Nya, and Pixal to perform repairs on him in the past, as he realizes how many vital robotics skills he lacks, making him unable to even reattach Jay’s arm or care for any of his other injuries. Although he hates himself for thinking it, his first thought after recovering from the shock is “I’m glad I’m not alone”. He can’t get over this shameful feeling of relief in learning that Jay’s also an android. It makes him happy. It alleviates some of his concerns about the state of his own humanity and he hates that he feels that way while Jay is clearly suffering.
Cole is freaked out, but recovers quicker than the others. This is fine, it’s still Jay. They already have two nindroids on the team, this is nothing new. Nothing has to change. Within seconds, he’s offering Jay verbal assurances and totally supporting him as if nothing has changed at all. He goes along with Jay’s calm attitude and keeps the other two in check. He can freak out when they’re all safe.
Nya is already stressed out when the boys return, to the point that she sees Jay and is like “haha…. okay funny prank”. They all look at her blankly and she starts asking them what the hell happened while they were gone?! She deals with it pretty well though, offers Jay comfort, and then goes into full-focus work-mode and makes damn sure she fully understands his mechanics so she can repair him in the future. For a while, Jay isn’t really emotionally ready to study his own mechanics yet, and she ensures him he doesn’t need to until he’s ready for it. (She does, however, have the same paranoid thought that Kai had and starts checking everyone else to make sure they aren’t robots too).
Lloyd asks how this is even possible, and starts trying to reason out how they could have missed all the signs. He’s the one who actually goes over all the things they’ve been through and figures out what details they’d been overlooking. The vengestone “allergy”, the weird seventh-sense Jay seemed to have around electronics, the time Jay hyperfocused so hard on a project that he didn’t eat or drink for three days but seemed perfectly fine. He’s frustrated that he missed all the obvious signs, but brushes off the feeling to instead focus on what they need to do next. No time to process his emotions! Gotta focus on the next crisis!
Finally, Pixal realizes that NO ONE KNEW. And just…. bursts out laughing in a really uncharacteristic way. She can’t believe it. She can’t believe her teammates are all this unobservant. Then she’s just like “Welcome to nindroid club, Jay. Here’s your membership card,” and prints him out an actual card.

"An Odd Little Thing" (Pt. 4)
Masterpost:
The monster snored. Very, very loudly. But they were asleep, and that was a relief. If it was asleep, it couldn’t scrap, or hurt, or turn him off. He’d be safe, at least for a few hours.
Safe…but still trapped.
He had hoped that with enough of a charge he’d be able to escape, but he was quickly finding out that no amount of power could move his rusted joints. And if by some miracle he managed…
A loud, hideous squeak echoed throughout the dungeon. No, no! He’d wake the monster right up!
But if he just waited here…
Does not compute.
Does not compute.
He let the blue screen fill his vision. What was the point of rebooting? No one was expecting any use out of him. His programs weren’t needed. Quite simply… he had outlived his purpose.
I don’t want to die.
Not here. Not at the hands of a monster in dark, dingy, unfamiliar room. If could have a choice… he would have wanted it at the hands of his masters, being able to offer one last play time.
Surgery time! Put the patient under!
A sticky, sugar-coated finger would press against the power button on his neck, and he’d hang limp, his processors writhing and twisting in an endless conflict of hope and dread. Hope that this time, maybe this time, nothing bad would happen. The fear that he would never come back or turn on again. That this time… he would be too broken. And of course, the dread. Dread that came from the knowledge of a repeated pattern he knew all too well. Because if every time he woke back up, and if every time it was in even more pain than before, then it would happen again. His gears would find a way to keep clicking. Because the game never stopped, no matter how hard he begged. Begging was part of the fun, just like the paint, just like the gum, just like the surgeries.
Why hadn’t he given up earlier?
Because you still had purpose. You had a function.
But now, all that was left was the privilege of not caring anymore.
********************
She awoke with a sore neck and a hard imprint of the mechanical arm she was working on stamped against her cheek. I must have fallen asleep at my desk again…
She sighed.
What time was it anyways? She glanced at the darkness outside the window, and then to the clock on the wall. Just a little past midnight… of course it was. She stood up, stretched, and went to wash her face. It was a little early, sure… but it wasn’t as if she had anything better to do. Her dreams hadn’t been all that pleasant anyways.
From behind her, a single glowing eye stared, cracked optic sending scatters of orange light throughout the workshop.
“Still awake?”
She should've remembered. Sleep Mode kicked in automatically for most androids, but if the internal timer was malfunctioning… then it wouldn't be a stretch to assume any time-dependent programming would fail too.Ugh… she should’ve remembered to turn him off before falling asleep.
Not like the thing would ever let me.
She cleared her throat. “Sorry. You must have been pretty bored, eh?”
No response.
Huh. This was new. Had his audio processors finally broken down? She snapped on her goggles, tied her face mask around her mouth and nose, and worked her way around her mounds of junk to her newest project.
“Hey.” She said.
The robot didn’t even twitch.
She picked it up and yelled in its ear. “HEY!”
A very noticeable flinch. So the processors were working. It was just ignoring her.
Why, the little—! She bit her tongue. The last thing she wanted was for it to start crying again. Instead, she kept her tone neutral.
“I’m going to run the rest of the diagnostics now, OK? After that, I’ll see if I can get rid of that rust.”
She set the android down on her desk, after clearing as much space off as she could. With a little adjustment, the overhead light shone directly above in the perfect position. “Just let me get my tools ready. I’ll be right back.”
That was a lie, sort of. Most of what she needed was already there. But she needed an excuse to look away, to not have that cracked, orange gaze burning into her soul. Why did she salvage a model with eyes, if she couldn’t even handle nonhumans looking at her?
She pretended to sweep the grounds, picking up random wires and a spare wrench or two that had wandered away from her tool belt. Wait… maybe there is something…
She straightened. “I’ll be upstairs.” She said, and closed the door behind her.
Five seconds later, she popped back in.
“Wait, I should do this first, right?”
Without another word, she retrieved the rag previously used as a blanket and wrapped it once again around the robot’s shoulders.

However, it’s crucial to approach this with respect for your child’s privacy and autonomy. Open communication is key. Discuss your concerns, explain why you’re considering tracking their phone, and assure them that it’s about their safety.
Remember, tracking tools are just that — tools. Possible accessible OSDDID App Review
Simply Plural !
Tumblr media
Facts:
What type of app it is: An app for tracking what parts/alters are fronting
Compatibility: Seems to be available for apple and android products, as well as browser support
Size: 66.5 MB
Internet required: Yes
Does it share my data?: You’re able to share your information with friends. Most things are set to be private initially
Lockable: You can log off as needed
Light and dark mode are available in-app as well as syncing with your device’s settings. There’s also a more accessible font option, which I thought was a nice touch.
~
Personal thoughts:
Personal difficulty using(0 being the most easy, 10 being impossible): 9
How easy to add your parts: 2
How easy to switch between parts: 7-8?? It took me a long time to figure out how to even do this, but once you figure out how its maybe a 5
Personal avoidance level: 10, no parts wanted to use this app
Safe to say, I’m perplexed by this app. Let me show you some screenshots
Tumblr media
We start with this clusterfuck of options. As someone who’s dissociating and dyslexic all these different directions that hold the exact same weight as eachother are really confusing! A young or badly confused part might think User Report is the same thing as making a note of who’s out right now
Maybe this is helpful to someone, but to me, it looked like way too much even on a present day
Tumblr media
This is the ‘Members’ list. Where all the parts are listed. There are a lot of symbols here that aren’t listed in any of the help sections that I’ve had to clumsily figure out by trial and error. Like apparently the arrows next to the names are.. Making a note of who’s here in the moment? I had no idea until just now.
Also they’re sorted alphabetically. Never in the history of Ever have I sorted my parts this way?? Sorry, this is the stuff I’m really specific about.
Evidently the bottom buttons are how to view who’s fronting at the moment. I can’t figure out what ‘custom front’ is for
Tumblr media
Here’s what a part looks like when you open them up from the list. You have a lottttt of info you can go through and add using the icons at the top. I like that it has this many options for people who are probably a lot more serious for the use of the app.
When I first used it some years ago, I had no idea the Visibility was an option, so you might want to make sure it’s set to what you need it to be to feel secure (Private, shown to trusted friends, or shown to all friends)
Tumblr media
Here’s the side bar, with lots and lots of options again, but at least these are a little more sorted and I would’ve preferred this for the main page.
Now, let’s look at Add Front Entry...
Tumblr media
Okay, so there’s a detailed front entry and a quick front entry option. The detailed front entry looks like this:
Tumblr media
....
My dear OSDDID friends, I ask you, Do you know how long the part previous to yourself started fronting, from the date, the hour, the minute?? and when they stopped???????? Not even you, the previous parts who were here.
Tumblr media
I think the quick entry would’ve been better if you could add the hours options yourself, because most everyone I know with a dissociative disorder has a very different rate of switching, and 2 hours is not enough for the people who might switch once in days or weeks. (I personally shift from one group of parts to another every few days to a week)
At this point if you’re thinking that “She just doesn’t understand, I’ve been using this app and it just takes a learning curve to use..”, I invite you to realize that this app has no margin for error, no lenience for our I Don’t Know Myself Disorder, no room for considering dissociation and it’s varying forms and general blurriness.
I wondered for a moment why it was like this...
Tumblr media
Ah-ha.
The Plural Association is organization that hopes to eliminate the difference between OSDDID and non-disordered plurality, effectively de-medicalizing a Dissociative Disorder.
I read some of these links and quite a few of them focused on the ‘beautiful mind of having plurality’ rather than the dark reality of where a dissociative disorder comes from, being a trauma disorder. Downplaying DID as ‘Not Getting Along With Your Headmates’ disorder. There was just enough reasonable and flowery language for them to sprinkle blatant misinformation throughout, tricking you into believing things that may be harmful if you actually have a Disorder that needs treatment.
I have no doubt that people with non-disordered plurality are experiencing something. I can’t claim to know enough about someone’s mind to say otherwise, of course. I think saying Endogenics don’t exist shuts down people who might actually need help.
However, the mixture of OSDDID and Endogenics like this is very very harmful when it comes to creating ‘accessibility’ like this. It takes away from the actual point of what would be helpful for someone with a DD, like communication between parts, the slow breakdown of dissociative barriers, and for many, the lesser separation between parts and goals towards coming together.
The Plural Association wants you to be separate, but also know all parts, which can be incredibly dangerous to venture into yourself if you have a lot of trauma(and therefore parts) you don’t know.  Integration, Fusion, and taking it slowly and at the pace recommended by a professional, are really wonderful and personal parts of healing and shouldn’t be snubbed out by the pressure to be As Plural As Possible. Exactly like this app does
Final thoughts:
This app is needlessly complicated. I mean, maybe it can be really helpful if you go through and learn everything about it. I’ve only been picking at it for a week and barely scratched the surface. I feel like it must be like an art program, it takes you a lot of hard work and practice to settle into using it.
The premise is not at all for me. Not in all my years of knowing and figuring out my DID have I ever found it useful to *just* have a record of who switched when. Sure, it can be enlightening. But I’d find a lot more use in a text app where my Personas can make note of what’s going on in the moment, how they’re feeling, why they’re there.
Simply Plural is not at ALL simple or accessible to the common dissociated user.(me) Many times I peeked at it, I got confused easily and lost. It feels like a winding house where one room leads to the next and the next without hallways.
It’s a lot especially for people who have less distinct parts too. or many of them! they’d all be placed in the same alphabetical order without any distinction between distinct and nondistinctive parts, or subsystems.
I’m extremely uncomfortable that you could technically find people on here, and find their information if they didn’t have the right privacy settings on. I didn’t feel completely safe putting all my parts on here, capping it at the main 16. Even more so, there’s the ability to give someone a ‘token’, which is customizable access to your information, including being able to write and add things, as well as delete them. I could easily see an abuser use this for the worst. What in the world?!?!?
I try to keep my reviews light and positive because I believe there’s merit in any DID media to various ranges of accessibility for people. But this one I just cannot recommend. I hope you understand my points as to why
If this app works for you, dissociation and all, then I’m really glad for you! If you’re endogenic and don’t have dissociative issues, maybe it’s more suited to whatever it is you...do with your parts? ? (I don’t know enough, sorry)
Would I recommend this app to someone with OSDDID? Nope.

Follow up prompt! Given that Crowley goes pink light up. Them chilling in bed, and Aziraphale using Crowley as a reading light by complimenting him every few minutes.
(Or just them being cute and having a nice time to recover, but like. Gotta make the most of that feature)
Okay! :D This can be post-the previous story, when they're back home.
Warning: cyborg Aziraphale (though not mentioned) and android Crowley
On with the fic!
--
The bedroom was probably the best place in the whole bookshop, in Crowley's opinion. It was safe, comfortable, and the best place to nap when not needing to charge. Crowley already did that earlier, during dinner.
He wanted to be free to cuddle his angel without any cords or whatnot in the way.
He set his wig on the shelf in the spare room, his old room, and began to undress for the night. He had no reason to bathe this evening, so he just slipped on shorts and a sleeveless top, his see-thru parts on display. He could cover them up, easily, but he knew that Aziraphale liked them.
He smiled a little, his fans humming. He was safe and at home with Aziraphale, he didn't have to go back.
Crowley left his old room and found Aziraphale already in bed, in their now-shared room. Aziraphale had a book in his lap, not opened, he was looking at Crowley with a gentle smile that made the other's body LEDs blink.
"Ready for bed, dear?" He asked and Crowley nodded, moving to get into bed. "Shall we read tonight?"
"Hmm... a little, yeah. A chapter or two."
"Sounds good." Aziraphale pulled Crowley close, wrapping one arm around him while using his free hand to open the book with ease. He started to read, it was one of Aziraphale's favorites, by Jane Austin. Crowley liked her works well enough, but he liked things with more action.
However, he liked listening to Aziraphale read aloud more.
He closed his eyes, listening to the gentle voice of Aziraphale as he read about Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy, feeling fingers in his hair. His sensors picking up on the delicate touches, the gentle scratching at his scalp.
Crowley didn't need to breathe, but he still let out a content sigh. He heard Aziraphale's heartbeat from how close his head was positioned on the other's chest. Aziraphale was doing well, no trouble had come from encountering Prince, just a minor scare.
His angel was safe.
He was safe.
All way right with their little world-
"Oh!"
Crowley frowned, opening his eyes. "Hm?"
"Look at you." Aziraphale cooed, smiling.
Crowley was confused, until he picked up that the room was not exactly the warm yellow that it had been from the side table lamp's light.
There was a very bright pink glow illuminating the room.
Crowley looked at his shoulders, his fingers, before touching his face. He couldn't see his cheeks, but his eyes picked up on the glow coming from under the synthetic skin.
"You're lit up like a Christmas tree!" Aziraphale said, excited.
"I've glowed before." Crowley said, dumbly.
"Oh yes, but never this bright. I know your lights sometimes show your mood, how are you currently feeling?"
"Confused." The android said, looking at his hand, at the brightly glowing pink finger tips. They made his faux nails, painted blue, a purple-ish color. "But before then I was just... content. Relaxed, and very happy to be in bed with you."
Aziraphale's smile grew and he pulled Crowely into a tight hug. "You feel that way around me right now?"
"All the time, probably more so now due to what happened earlier." Crowley replied before squirming a bit to get closer to his angel's face. "You make me feel safe and happy."
"And you do the same for me, darling." Aziraphale said softly, and they were kissing.
Even with his eyes closed, Crowley could still tell that he was glowing, and it was much brighter than before. He was sure that their neighbors could see the lights through the window blinds.
--
Crowley's emotions can be seen through his lights, which is probably not something his systems should do. If he was like any of the other models, it would probably be more of an aesthetic thing along with being used for a mild light or an indicator if something was wrong with the android.
Aziraphale loves the lights, Crowley can school his face to show no emotions if he wanted to, but the lights give him away. It's cute.

hey!!!! (i apologize if this goes against any rules, feel free to ignore if it does!!!) can i request some platonic ortho friendship headcanons? little dude needs more love in the fandom
Yes absolutely Ortho is best boy. He is a true vision and I would die for him. Also this ended up devolving a bit but I’m pretty excited. I’ve only ever written Ortho one time before and this was really fun, I definitely wanna do it more so I get better at it
You’re My Best Friend, Honeycomb Head
Characters: Ortho, Floyd, Idia
Tw// Floyd-typical behavior
Tumblr media
* Number one most important thing - Ortho loves physical affection
* Cuddling, touching, hugging, forehead kisses, literally ANYTHING because he knows he’s pretty firm and cold
* But he LOVES being held. It makes him feel very loved and very safe
* Also, this kid collects plushies and you can’t convince me otherwise
* If you ever bring him a plushie, he’s keeping it forever. He sits it next to his charging station at night because he can’t hold it while in rest mode
* The kid loves carnivals, and specifically carnival games. He doesn’t really care for the prizes because he just loves playing them, but if you win him a prize you can bet he will literally throw down with someone over it
* He’s definitely the kind of kid to come try and help you with your homework
* Luckily, he has the entire internet in his head, so he’s actually really helpful!
* He also has no concept of how often humans are supposed to eat/sleep/drink water but he knows Idia doesn’t do it enough. Probably makes you drink water whenever he sees a drinking fountain/water source
* He loves watching movies. He knows he could just download the movie and watch it in a second, but he likes watching with you
* You guys probably have matching tshirts. Unfortunately Ortho can’t wear his, but it’s okay because he takes it to Idia and asks him to make an armor plate with whatever the shirt says on it
* I feel like ortho likes frogs. I don’t have a reason why, but I suspect one day he might just walk up and INSIST that you come see this frog!
* Depending on how close you are, he might refer to you by a nickname or as his sibling. This makes Idia jealous and happy at the same time
* He will very enthusiastically tell you about every new experience he has. When he gets his walking legs the first time, he literally runs up to you and squeals about how awesome it is
* Sometimes buys a little food to ‘eat’ with you at lunch and ends up just giving whatever it is to Idia. It’s usually a cookie
* If he finds out someone’s bothering you, they will not be doing that anymore <3
Tumblr media
“Kyōdai-San! Can we play that one?” Ortho excitedly asks, tugging on your sleeve to point to a carnival stall.
The Night Raven College Spring Carnival was in full swing - complete with food vendors, precarious-looking rides, and, of course, carnival games. The one Ortho was pointing toward was a simple one (as all appear to be) in which you shoot a water balloon with a dart, and if it breaks you win a prize. Simple enough, on the surface.
But keep in mind that the people who organized this carnival were scheming, slimy businessmen from the depths of the dark sea, so there had to be a catch.
You looked between the tickets held in one hand and Ortho’s pleading eyes before you let out a puff of air and give him a fond smile, “Yeah, we can play that. How many tickets do you have left?”
“Thirty-one!” Ortho chirped without even looking to check. It’s not like he could forget. “See that purple heffalump? He’s so cute!” He smiled (presumably) while pointing at the stuffed animal hanging from the stall.
Behind the counter stood Floyd Leech, looking bored to tears with a sour expression. He looked up at the approaching people and suddenly burst into a big grin, “Koebi-Chan! Clione-Chan! Finally, some people who know how to have fun. You wanna play this little game?”
Ortho bounced slightly, eyes wide as he nodded eagerly. You couldn’t help but feel nervous and amused at the same time, resting an arm on the android’s shoulder.
“How many tickets?”
Floyd shrugged, “How many rounds you want?”
You looked to Ortho, who looked to you, then to Floyd, “Three is the typical amount, isn’t it?”
Floyd made a little ‘i dunno’ noise before holding his hand out, “‘s three tickets per round, so it’ll be nine from each of ya.” His expression threatened to settle back to bored, “Of course, you won’t need three rounds, right? ‘S an easy game, after all.” His smile came back, a little threatening as it didn’t meet his eyes.
You gulped and plastered a smile on your face, nodding slightly, “Right. Here’s the tickets.”
He looked at the tickets you placed in his hand, looking almost dumbfounded a moment before he began to laugh, “Koebi-Chan, I haven’t even explained the game yet! You really don’t think far ahead, do you?”
You bit back saying ‘you’re one to talk’ and smiled placidly instead.
“Hmmm, unless you don’t care about the game. There must be a prize you reaaaally want, huh~?”
Ortho looked up and whispered, “He knows about the heffalump!”
You simply laughed, “The heffalump is pretty cute. With the two of us, e can totally win this.”
Floyd didn’t say anything, instead watching until you two looked back to him, “You ready to hear the rules?”
You and Ortho nodded, and you squeezed Ortho’s shoulder before pulling him a little closer. Floyd’s always been unnerving.
“Alright little fishies, here’s the deal. You gotta pop the balloons that match your dart colors. You pop one, you get a tier one prize. Two balloons, tier two. Three balloons, you get a tier three prize. That’s the tier with the heffalump you want. So you gotta get all three in the same round, or it starts over, ya feel?”
You looked nervously to Ortho, who just looked excited, then nodded along with the kid. Your confidence in getting the plush was fading quickly.
Floyd grinned, sharp and dark, as he handed over the darts. One set was blue, the other pink. “I believe in you~” he laughed as he sat back on a stool, leaning against the counter to watch you both intently.
Ortho seemed to be calculating as he took his darts, taking a moment to think before he aimed and threw. You did the same, hands beginning to sweat at Floyd stared at you two unblinkingly.
Ortho struck with his first dart, while you missed. Ortho missed with his second, while you hit with yours. You both managed to miss with the third.
Floyd mockingly pouted, “I expected better from you two. But you’ve got two more rounds to go, so maybe you’ll win~”
You ignored the scowl threatening to slip in front of him as you and Ortho began round two.
You missed your first shot, while Ortho hit perfectly. Both of you hit your second round. It seemed Ortho might make all three, but as he threw his last one, the dart suddenly swerved out of the way, hitting a green balloon instead of the blue one it was dead-on for.
“Hey! My dart suddenly changed course.”
Floyd shrugged, “Guess your aim was off, lil fish. Third times the charm for sure.”
“Floyd Leech, are you using your unique magic to change the course of my darts?”
Floyd narrowed his eyes before laughing humorlessly, “of course not, I’m a good and honest eel! Why would I do that?” He gave mock-puppy eyes.
Ortho frowned, instead focusing back at the task at hand. He looked upset, gripping his darts tighter then before. His eyes welled with what could have been tears if he were organic, and you had to bite your tongue from tearing into Floyd.
Round three began. Ortho’s aim improved even more, and he threw with such force it threatened to go through the cheap board holding up the water balloons. You consistently managed to miss yours, too concerned with Ortho to bother aiming well. Ortho’s first two hit again, but at the third one, the board seemed to randomly shake, and Ortho hit a purple balloon just next to his preferred blue one.
“Aww, a shame. I really thought you guys would get it~” Floyd said, looking not at all upset.
Ortho huffed and looked ready to sob, while you narrowed your eyes, your gaze flicking to where Floyd’s foot was perched against the table the balloon board was sitting on.
You grit your teeth and slapped down your remaining 6 tickets on the table, “Two more rounds.”
Floyd’s grin grew even bigger, pleased to have elicited a reaction.
You looked to Ortho, “We’re getting that heffalump. I promise.”
Ortho looked up and smiled, wiping invisible tears from his eyes as he hugged your waist, “You’re the best.”
Floyd hummed and handed you the darts back again, “You made a promise, Keobi-Chan. Don’t disappoint Ortho, now~”
You took them and nodded stiffly.
First shot - hit and broke the pink balloon
Second shot- hit and broke the next pink balloon.
Floyd’s eyebrows raised, and Ortho’s face spelled excitement and hope.
Third shot - miss, hitting a red balloon instead.
The mood went quiet as Floyd retrieved the darts again, leaning in to whisper close, “You’re embarrassing yourself, Shrimpy.”
You bit your tongue from lashing out at him, then turned to gently peel off Ortho.
“Floyd, what were the rules again?”
He hummed, “You forgot already? How do you survive in class?” He sighed and leaned forward on his hand, “You gotta break the balloons that match the dart’s color, ‘member? It’s not hard to keep in mind, Keobi-chan.”
You smiled sarcastically sweet and nodded, then turned to Ortho and whispered, “get ready to get that prize.”
You then proceeded to hold the darts tightly, and climb across the table.
Floyd’s look of surprise was worth the ass-beating you’d surely get later as you walked up to the board and, carefully, took each pink dart and broke all three pink water balloons needed to claim your prize, before climbing back over the table.
Floyd stared at you, eyes flicking from the balloons, to you, to Ortho. Then he began to laugh, bright and happy, to the point he was wiping away tears from his eyes.
“Oh, Shrimpy, you’re bold! I don’t think anyone else would have done that~” he giggled, reaching up to grab the heffalump plush from the rack holding prizes, “I couldn’t let Sea Angel walk away sad, in any case.” He held out the stuffed creature to Ortho, eyes glinting with mischief and amusement, “I knew you two wouldn’t let me down. There’s always something fun with you guys. Maybe I should close up the booth and join you~” he teased.
Ortho laughed joyously before informing him, “We have to meet Nii-San soon, so we won’t be here much longer, but thanks!”
Floyd smiled and it was…less menacing than usual, before he grabbed your shoulder as you turned to walk away, squeezing tightly as he whispered, “Don’t pull that shit again, ‘Kay? You don’t wanna spend a week in the nurse’s office after I wring you out like a dishrag, right~?”
You gulped and nodded, feeling his breath disappear from your neck and his grip slip away before he pushed you forward, “Go have fun you crazy kids!” He cheerfully called as you walked away.
Ortho was waiting a little bit away and took your hand as you approached, the plush in his other hand. “Thank you, Y/N. I’ll cherish this.” He said softly, walking with you toward the Ferris wheel.
“Oh, it was no big deal. Gotta look out for my little bestie, don’t I?”
Ortho tilted his head, “You were very nervous playing that game. Your heart rate sped up considerably and your body heat increased as well.”
You shrugged, “it was worth it to get you something you wanted. Anyway, lemme stop at the ticket booth and get some more. You still haven’t been on some of the rides!”
You spent the rest of that lovely April evening at the carnival with Ortho and Idia. Ortho dragged you from ride to game to the occasional lemon-shakeup vendor and you saw nearly all of your friends either enjoying the fair or working at it. Ortho made sure the three of you greeted every single one, much to the embarrassment and anxiety of Idia.
It approached midnight and the carnival was closing. As you and both Shrouds walked toward the main building on campus, Ortho tugged on your sleeve again, plushie held tightly against his chest.
“Kyōdai-San?”
You looked to him, smiling at him, a bit tired, “Yes, little bestie?”
He beamed from behind his mask, “Thank you for doing this with me. This has been the best night ever!”
You pulled him in for a tight hug, trying to avoid getting tickled by his firey hair, “I think so too. You’ve made this whole night perfect, Ortho.”

RP meme sent by @technxlogic
(Because I can.) “you’re safe.” -Odi to Alma
The synthetic was breathing fast and staring at the floor with his hands gripping at his own hair as he sat crouched against the wall. He hadn't expected to be attacked by humans like that. But it seemed some people couldn't tell the difference between synthetics and androids. Alma wasn't exactly uncorrupted either, but Dr. Chen had convinced the Dryden commission and everyone else she knew that synthetics were the safe ones.
Unfortunately, she wasn't here to advocate for him this time.
Alma and Odi had gone out to run errands, and things had been fine at first. Completely normal, up until someone saw them and assumed they were both androids. They practically started a riot to get others to join them in trying to destroy Alma and Odi. Alma had frozen at first, too shocked to do much, until things started getting violent. Then he'd grabbed Odi's hand and run.
Now they were far enough away from the crowd and hiding in an abandoned building so the humans couldn't find them. At least for now. But Alma didn't feel safe. Having so much biological aspects to his physiology meant that he still had adrenaline coursing through him and was still in fight or flight mode.
He didn't feel safe, despite Odi's words. He knew the android was trying to comfort him so he could think rationally and they could get out of this situation and to the safety of the lab. But right now, Alma was spiraling into an anxiety attack and too far gone to simply rationalize a way out of their problem.
