he stiffens at first, when you lean against him and bury your face in the crook of his neck. he relaxes, though, wrapping you in his warm embrace. 

you end up sagging against him (kind of a half-slump towards the ground) and he tightens his arms around you. “i’m so tired,” you mumble into his chest. 

he smiles against your head and bends down. and with one quick swoop, he lifts you into his arms in a sort of bridal carry (though you’re protesting, you’re laughing so hard you can barely breathe) and carries you to the couch, setting you down. he tickles you, causing you to gasp out, “stop! truce! enough!”

he sits next to you, smiling. you lean against him, laughing still. “feeling better?”

when you nod, he kisses your cheek. “good.”

sucrose | 

the sweetie that she is, she blushes when you loop your arms around her neck and drape against her.

she’ll stroke your hair or pat your back, not quite sure of what to do. she tries her hardest though, sweet thing. 

eventually, you’ll tug her against your shoulder and the two of you spend ages like that, tucked in each other’s arms. she looks peaceful like this; her face relaxed and her brow smooth. joy wells up inside you, tamping down your earlier unhappiness about your day. 

she traces the lines of your face with her finger, smiling slightly when you pepper her cheeks with kisses. “i love you,” you say into her ear.

“i love you too,” she whispers, burrowing against you.

ningguang | 

ningguang’s the one that notices how agitated you look. she pulls you towards her, sighing. she’ll run her fingers over your shoulders and kiss your cheek. she wants you to laugh and smile.  

you kiss her, relaxing against her and taking her hand. she threads her fingers through yours, squeezing your hand. 

she lets you sit like that, her arm draped over your shoulders, your face pressed into her shoulder. 

she doesn’t mind it; in fact, she makes sure you’re as comfortable as possible, urging you to lay down. you give in, and she smoothes your hair away from your forehead, your head resting in her lap.

she winks at you. “rest well. we can go out to dinner tomorrow.”

zhongli | 

his voice is low and soft when he asks you if you’re okay when you lean in for hug and all the strength goes out of your limbs. you lean all your weight against him and he stiffens slightly. 

he relaxes, though, wrapping you firmly in his arms. he’ll press a kiss to the top of your head, or your forehead. it’s clear how tired you are, your eyes drifting shut even as you smile at him. 

he’ll take care not to move you at all, the sappy romantic he is, and you’ll fall asleep like that. although it’s kind of uncomfortable for him, he doesn’t mind.

when you wake up, he smiles at you. “sleep well?” 

he insists on you sleeping more and leads you to the bed. he makes sure you’re comfortable first before he settles down. you fall asleep in seconds, and he tucks the covers over you. 

sangonomiya kokomi | 

kokomi lets you settle against her. “ah, hard days. i know all about those,” she says softly, stroking your cheek. 

her touch is cool on your skin, and, as she works, you sit with her, making sure to not disturb her too much. 

at one point, you shift your position, and she looks up, alarmed. “oh, were you not comfortable?” 

after assuring her that you were, she settles back again, threading her fingers through your hair. she hums softly as she works, the noise a soothing backdrop to your thoughts. 

she’s so gentle with you, and so sweet. and you do the same in return. <3

Kokomi x Scaramouche hcs! {Please don't leave hate!!!}

Scaramouche cooks for Kokomi, whenever she offers to help he just shoos her away, askign if she's doubting his abilities, he secretly really enjoys cooking for her and spoiling her.

Kokomi is autistic and so is Scaramouche! Whenever he gets overstimulated in social situations, Kokomi will be right there by his side, comforting him and calming him down.

Kokomi has sensory issues due to her autism, so certain surfaces make her extremely uncomfortable, Scaramouche is always there to keep her away from textures which might cause a breakdown!

Kokomi uses neos and xeos! She's genderfluid and uses pearl/pearlself, jell/jellself, fish/fishself, she/her, they/them and he/him! Basically any pronouns!

Scaramouche is ftm! He uses he/they/it pronouns (yes im projecting) and also like neos and xeos!

Kokomi is very clingy and enjoys physical touch when she's not working, and Scaramouche may not admit it but he thinks of her and her warm embrace all the time.<3

comforting kokomi

imagine comforting kokomi after a long day, being the divine priestess and a genius strategist plus shouldering the responsibilities of watatsumi island exhausted kokomi more than she's aware of.

being her lover; you did your best to reduce the burden on kokomi's shoulders by helping around the island but nothing seems to be enough for kokomi to relax a little.

at first, you were angry at the people of watatsumi for expecting everything from kokomi but you realized that they needed someone like kokomi with the tension between the shogunate and the watatsumi island, besides kokomi is more than happy to help her people despite it taking a toll on her so you supported kokomi in every way you could.

however; this night kokomi seemed even more tired and stressed out, maybe things started getting too much for her or today was just even busier. whatever the reason, you wouldn't let kokomi suffer by herself like this.

kokomi was sitting on her bed, her head filled with many thoughts about what to do tomorrow and everything she had done today. your sweet voice calling her name snapped her out of her overwhelming thoughts.

kokomi heads to the bathroom when you call her in there, worried that something is wrong but her worries are quickly dispelled when she sees the smile on your face.

you gesture the tub behind you, you had prepared a bubble bath for the two of you to relax and spend time together after weeks of hard work. kokomi can't help but pull you into a hug and thank you.

the two of you are quick to strip into your undergarments and settle into the warm water, the pleasant scent of the soap filling your nostrils. at first, you and kokomi chat for a while as she rests in your arms but then a playful thought comes into kokomi's mind.

she splashed the water to your face, interrupting your bad joke. kokomi giggles at your dumbfounded face but you quickly splash her back. the water battle between you two end up with a very soaked bathroom but kokomi is quick to clean it with her vision.

the way kokomi was laughing and smiling let you know that you successed in comforting also getting her to relax a little.

Zhongli acting as a supervisor for Xiao so he doesn't do that thing in the chasm interlude quest again (my team is called Xiao and his life support for a reason- WHY HE GOTTA DO THAT, MY FAVE)

Kokomi slowly losing energy points when she keeps telling Xiao not to be so reckless

Also her healing Bennett from his mishaps, which he is super grateful for <3

Bennett being the resident sunshine of the team, since the other three don't really experience the same adventures he does so it allows them to feel a bit more free

Bennett calling them "Mr. Zhongli", "Miss Kokomi", and "Mr. Adeptus" at first because he is intimidated when he learns what their occupation is

Eula swear vengeance on me hot lady coming from an old noble houshold, didn't know how to cook. I hc that it was after she met amber(lets go lesbians) that she finally learnt the arts of culinary. Definitely practiced alot at Good Hunters with Sara. But but but she already knew how to make desserts (look at her trailer video justice for Eula 2k23) and she decorates them in a manner that's very aesthetically pleasing too. She also has a habit of cooking in a very neat and organised manner. Once again Sara taught her about the necessity of a sanitary kitchen and she had taken it to heart so don't fuck up her kitchen. She will swear vengeance and kick you out(lmaooo skill issue Euladontkickmeoutpls )

The great priestess of Watatsumi Island, Sangonomiya Kokomi unfortunately cannot handle seafood [koko is like half fish so would her having seafood be considered cannibalism???] so don't even think about bringing any living creature that has even been near a water body to your kitchen when shes with you. If you make my wife sad I'm coming to throw hands. Kokomi prefers food with mild flavors like her specialty, bird egg sushi, and foods that are easily portable because she is often (see: always) in a hurry. Although if you don't know how to cook, she will gladly teach you. Cooking with kokomi is very fun and cooking dates are how a great majority of your dates are spent. [oh no, what's this, suddenly I have forgotten how to even chop an onion wha- How unfortunate seems like I'll have to take cooking classes on watatsumi Island now:)]

Adeptus Xiao, the mighty yakha who has defended Liyue for centuries, the Golden Winged King who has served the geo archon as his sole master after being saved from the clutches of the evil god is rendered completely helpless infront of a chopping board. This angsty teen cannot cook anything other than almond tofu so cooking dates are a no-go :( Although he can't cook he'll sit on the kitchen counter and watch while you bake. He won't take a bite if it's anything savoury or spicy but mild tasting desserts that don't come off as strong (like cheesecake or kheer) will definitely not be refused

The ever busy secretary Ganyu (my dear overworked coconut please take a break.) somewhat knows her way around the kitchen. Being an half-qilin eating isn't the same for her as it is for mortals. She can go on for day's without any nutritional intake due to the divinity running through her veins therefore she hasn't had much chances to be in the kitchen. If need be, she could always order something from Wanmin's or perhaps the boquet of qingxin that Yaoyao dropped by for her. Ganyu is as good as any amatuer who can cook basic meals but is very willing to learn, that is if she can get past her busy schedule. (Also pls stop eating glaze lilies, half divine or not, I don't think that's good for your health.) She doesn't cook often because of work but when does take a break forced to by ningguang and Keqing. I also think modern au ganyu would be vegan. And candies Hawthorn or tanghulu would be a guilty pleasure.

When it comes to cooking, it is safe to say that culinary is not the electro archon, Raiden Ei's area of expertise. Sticking to honing her skills in martial arts would do better. (Read: my mother would smack you with her slipper and kick you out of the gouse if you dared enter her kitchen). Say if Ms. Ei does try her hand at cooking... your house burnt down because she tried to thaw the chicken w the musou no hitotachi. Now you're homeless and broke. Later you both agree to order takeout and then freeload off of the budget from Narukami shrine courtesy of the gūji, yae miko, who is just surprised you managed to bring this hikkikomori out of her hole. It's fine ei's the archon anyway it's more or less her property.

The handsome consultant of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, Zhongli has lived for 9000 years. He has picked up as many skills as the friends he's lost. Maybe this is why the all knowing rex lapis cannot find those who share the memories. However for the sake of your wallet, who already has one foot in the coffin, please keep this man away from the kitchen. Reason being, the groceries you bought for a month have been used in a week. While I am quite proud of how much food i can stuff in my stomach, servings for 8 people might be a little too much even for me. bestie have mercy. Its me and your sugar daddy who has to pay for the groceries and because you so kindly decided to step down as rex lapis and give away your gnosis, the change in minting of mora is going to bring a global financial crisis woohoo. Also nobody can wait 85648 hours for dinner. please be finished before my retirement. Not everybody has the luxury of faking their death and then having a sugar daddy to live rich. (Yes i am bitter.)

Headcanon: She would absolutely love Civilization V.

Heartcanon: Owns a weighted blanket. Dare I say, habitually uses it nightly. Needs one if she doesn't have one. It would save her.

Gutcanon: Those fish boxes she made absolutely have more of a use than portrayed in the main story. Please.

Junkcanon (or speculation or delusion or whatever): She and Neuvillette are distantly related. I will die on this hill.

Spleencanon: Actually, she and Sara have a tentative and slowly growing friendship that they are sorting through due to the aftermath of the war as well as things within themselves. It just so happens that the vast majority of it is off-screen and none of the Traveler's business. And no, that conversation bit at the end of the 3.7 event doesn't count.

This one might seem rather rushed, there's kind of a time skip to a few weeks later at an awkward spot, and it might be hard to miss..hehe sorry..

The army general. For the High Priestess, Kokomi Sangonomiya, no less. The "pointy-eared-general". He was someone a lot of his comrades looked up to, though sometimes he couldn't really figure out why.

He always thought his life would be simple. When it came to love, he didn't think something like that would benefit him. Not that benefit was something he was after all the time. He just didn't want something like that to weigh him down. He had far too many responsibilities.

And then he saw you.

All you were doing was speaking with the High Priestess Kokomi, but it felt like you were doing so much more. Your face was focused and you were discussing strategies for battle. He had never seen you before, but you seemed well-versed in the particular art of war. Someone scarred by the effects of it in one way or another.

He supposed that everyone in this region of Teyvat was. It would be selfish to wallow in self-pity over something like that, though. He stopped gawking as soon as he caught himself and straightened himself up again, entering his lady's camp with the feigned stupor of being completely calm and collected.

Though standing next to his lady now, with you looking at him with such curious eyes, he couldn't keep still. He felt like a child with a crush. Jittery and unable to keep his eyes off you. Though when yours met his, they would flit away instantly.

Embarrassed and confused, every day that he accompanies the two of you in his lady's tent, he tries to remain composed. And though eventually, you start to warm up to him, you were ignorant to the fact that he'd already warmed up to you long before.

Slowly but surely, the two of you ended up with each other more often than not. Running errands for kokomi- though it was much unbecoming of an army general like himself- he didn't mind if he was with you.

It seemed the two of you could talk for hours if it didn't get in the way of both your duties. He didn't know what to do. He wanted to get closer to you.

Then one day, he sat down to write answers for his advice column, and a question stood out to him.

He looked in the direction of the sudden noise. His tail. It really was wagging. He didn't know what else to do now. Was this question really from you?

It was extremely embarrassing and improper for someone in as high a position as him to be daydreaming about someone. He had far more important responsibilities to attend to, but still, he found you always at the top of his list.

He thought back to when the traveler had assisted Kokomi with some of her work so that she may rest and indulge herself in some of her personal hobbies for a little while.

The wind blew through his hair as he sat under the sakura tree. Not many people were out, and he enjoyed the tranquility at times like these.

He went to work writing a thoughtful response. It took up most of the column in the end. And though he prayed day and night until the next issue was released that the inquiry really was from you and that you were speaking about him.

But as the release date became closer, he started to regret the things he'd written. No, regret wasn't the word. He'd mulled over it for too long. He really did feel something for you, but could it really be love?

He lay in bed, unable to put his mind at ease as these thoughts seemed to conjure themselves.

Maybe he just admired you or looked up to you. No.

He thought about the way the light sometimes hit your eyes and how you always greeted him with a smile and his face felt hot. There was no mistaking the pounding of his heart and the beating of his tail against his bedding as he lay there alongside the rest of his comrades.

'As per your inquiry, they seem to like you a lot, don't they? Maybe you should decide first whether or not they simply admire you or maybe something more. If they act that way around you though, you probably have no doubt in your mind about the answer. Just say what you want to say to him. If they're so dedicated to being around you, something like that probably wouldn't drive them away so easily-"

As stated before, the answer continues. It took up more than half the column. He could only answer two questions this week. Yae Miko had no inquiries about his decision, so he didn't think about how much he'd written.

Somewhere in the tent, he heard shuffling, and he quickly stopped his movements and shut his eyes. The morning came.

Rumors unfolded quickly on Inazuma's main islands about the unfolding love story in Miss Hina's most recent advice column. Those that whispered of love confessions were overjoyed. He didn't really understand how people could be so infatuated with the lives of others, wouldn't they rather focus on their own?

But then again, he was the one who didn't think his "love story" was worth being interested in.

"Gorou!" He heard you call for him, and the wind whipped at his hair the way it had that night as he wrote his reply to, who he was certain now, was you. You were impossibly beautiful when he turned around to see you and your eyes met his bright ones.

"The High Priestess would like us to meet with her later today. I spoke to her earlier this morning. I was hoping I'd catch you here, let's go look at the sakura blossoms afterward, okay?" Time seemed to slow down. Even the beauty of the newly-bloomed sakura couldn't compare to you at that moment.

It was then that he became ashamed of his arrogance.

"Okay, let's have fun." Gorou smiled, though it could never be on par with your bright one, it seemed that he felt happiest by your side as always.

"Let's go get something to eat first." You hummed, letting out a small laugh before you reached out to grab his hand. He went stiff and you pulled him along. The heat he'd felt so many times before returned to his face, and people turned to look.

He became extremely aware of their whisperings from before, and even continuing now once again. What were they saying?

He glanced around.

"Y/N!" He exclaimed before he could even think about it. More heads turned now. You turned to look at him curiously, the two of you still connected where your hand grasped his wrist. He slipped his hand in to yours all the way and held it tightly.

"Right now." The tone of his voice was much softer, "You look beautiful."

Your eyes widened in surprise, and your mouth opened as if to say something, but he cut you off and continued.

"You're quite a determined person, and- having you by my side gives me so much confidence and self-doubt at the same time. But, despite that, I've come to realize that I'm happiest when I'm around you!" The confidence returned to his voice as he continued to speak.

"I think that. I lo- like you. A lot. So isn't it normal for me to doubt myself then...?" The last part was mostly to himself. Trying to justify his feelings. Though it was hard to admit to you, especially with so many eyes on the two of you, it felt right.

You simply smiled at him and continued to pull him along.

"I feel the same way. I even wrote to Miss Hina about it. You plagued my mind so much, I had to do something about it." You hummed, not looking back at him as you spoke. However, he could feel the way your hand trembled in his. You, no doubt, felt the same familiar heat that stretched up to your face and down your neck whenever he thought of you.

Except, you were thinking about him. Someone was worked up. Over him.

"Tell me again after we look at the cherry blossoms, please. When nobody is looking." You said, your voice quivering with your unusually quiet tone.

"O-Okay..." He said, smiling softly as he looked down at where your hands were linked together.

sara

sara practices conversations in her head. when she goes to an important meeting, she has the entire thing planned in her head and when things don't go as planned, she gets annoyed.

sara is so touch starved but sometimes being touched overwhelms her so she resorts to holding your hand or just stand close as close as she can to you.

once sara caught you trying on her mask and thought you looked so cute, she'll get you one if you ask her.

kokomi

kokomi uses hydro to create animals made from bubbles to cheer crying kids up.

kokomi loves bubble baths, she loves to just relax in the warm water with you in her arms.

kokomi has chubby cheeks, it takes all your will power to not squish them but she'll just giggle when you do that.

yun jin

yun jin had to carry throat medicine with her for a while because singing for a long time hurt her throat until she got used to it.

yun jin always gets you the vip seats for her shows, your amazed expression and support encourages her so much.

yun jin loves to do your makeup, not just because she thinks you look ethereal but also because she has an excuse to be close to you.

gorou

gorou loves it when you carress his ears, it makes him sleepy and calms him down.

gorou hides behind you when he spots yae miko, yae finds it adorable and amusing.

one time gorou accidentally slammed a door to his tail and couldn't get up for minutes, it was painful.

itto

itto's horns are ticklish. if he's being a dummy, feel free to tickle him a little.

itto is the type of guy to accidentally call you bro or dude. once he realizes he quickly switches to the sappiest pet names you've ever heard.

itto sometimes accidentally scratches himself in the face with his long nails, he's extra careful with you but with himself? nope.
