It started off simple. He needed a date to the gala. the press was brutal and he was a Wayne. He didn't want to put anyone in that sort of spotlight. He had a dark past and didn't want anyone to get dragged into it. You were bored, needed a date to a wedding, and you cared about your friend. Also, it helped that he was willing to pay you because he felt bad about the whole press thing. It was nothing more than an arrangement between friends, a way for you to help him out. He's always been there for you, no matter what. You didn't think twice about returning the favor.

He was sweet in public. Held your hand, kissed your cheek, always asked if you were up for a kiss when he thought it was necessary. His hand was always warm and comforting on your waist. It grounded. you, kept you in the moment with him. You loved hanging out with him. The arrangement had let allowed you to hand out with him all the time, anywhere and everywhere. There were some comments made about you in the press, but the negative ones didn't bother you (how could they think you were the bad influence, secret identity or not, he was the one with murders under his belt!) and there were some nice things. You ha your past delved into, which wasn't exactly fun, but Jason had warned you it would happen and oracle made sure everything traceable wasn't bad. Overall, it was fun. You got to hang out with your best friend 24/7 and you got some new instagram followers and fun edits made of you along the way.

When it did inevitably get a little rough, Jason was there for you, like always. He took care of all the truly nasty things the press had to say about you. He always respected your boundaries, and he took you on vacation when it all got too much, even if he had to leave early for a Gotham emergency.

Things had to be believable, of course, so there needed to be couple's pictures on your social media. He needed to lay down with you. He needed to press his body up against yours. he needed to wrap his arms around you. He needed to draw you so close to him that there wasn't any given one inch of space in between you. He needed to press his face to your chest and close his eyes.

Right?

He just needed the picture to look believable. That was all.

So why did he stay cuddled into you? Why did he fall asleep there like he was made to fit? Like it was the only place he's ever wanted to be?

And why did it make you want.

After that, you spent all of your time wanting. Wanting more. The arrangement was perfect. It gave you everything it was supposed to. So why did you want more? Why did you wish Jason would stop apologizing when he said he had to kiss you? Why did your heart sink when his hands left yours after you were away from prying eyes? When did the edits people made of you go from fun to painful, a reminder of the way you wished he really looked at you? Why did you wish he wasn't faking it.

And, fuck that hurt, because he was just faking it all, right? He only looked at you like you were his world when someone else was looking. He didn't want you.

Not like you wanted him.

"Why do you look like that?" His voice shakes you out of your thoughts. Your eyes drift to him where he's sitting on the couch, his phone long forgotten timing out and turning off in his hand.

"What?" Your eyebrows had just lightly drawn together, your voice duller than usual.

"You look sad. What's on your mind?" His face looks a little worried. His eyes searched yours. You hope he can't see the truth lying beneath them.

What were you supposed to tell him? That this wasn't just a game to you anymore? That you can't stomach him holding your hand not because he means it? That you're taking advantage of him? That when he kisses you, you pretend it's real?

You don't meet his eyes. "I can't do this anymore."

So, I was wondering: There are some women that when they get pregnant, they like to surprise their husband with the news and come up with some creative way to tell them. Alternatively, some women like to just come out with the news, and both are fantastic and amazing.

My question though: For Amy and Rouge, what did they do when they told Sonic and Shadow they were expecting? 👀👀👀

Oooo, very good question Saph!

Let's start with Rouge. When she got pregnant with Angel, she was so unbelievably excited. She was planning on doing something elaborate to tell Shadow, but he picked up that she was hiding something pretty much immediately, so she just ended up telling him. Now as we know, the miscarriage hit her and Shadow very hard, so when Rouge got pregnant with Spark, she was really scared to say anything. She was worried the same thing was going to happen. She didn't say anything at first and managed to keep the secret for at least a couple weeks. Eventually, she pulled Shadow aside one day and just told him. It was at least another month after that before they told Ember. Dawn was a surprise baby, so Rouge didn't waste any time after she found out she was pregnant. She rushed right to Shadow to tell him the news.

Now as for Amy, she was much more creative about telling Sonic. For Joy and Lux, she gave him a gift bag that had baby socks inside. Sonic was confused at first, but then it clicked in his head and he got immediately emotional. Then he found the second pair of socks. XD For Rose, Amy slipped her ultrasound picture into an envelope and then put it in the mail pile for Sonic to find. For Elise, Amy set an extra plate at the dinner table that night. The kids noticed before Sonic did! And finally for Chip, Amy pulled out some of Lux's baby clothes that she'd been saving. She brought it to Sonic and offhandedly mentioned that they'd be needing it again. Sonic finally managed to pick up on what she was hinting pretty quickly this time.

Blue Myosotis AU: Character References

Name: Blue Myosotis; Myo.

Origin: AU Alt Sonic

AU: Blue Myosotis AU

Alignment: Varies; Myo Hero, Blue Myosotis Villain.

Personality:

As Blue Myosotis: Cold, calculated, deadly, the perfect Vanguard and Killer.

As Myo: This boy is NOT OKAY. Helpful, Compassionate, Kind, still a Hero at heart. Depressed, PTSD. Resigned that he is a Monster. Believes there's no atonement or penance for his crimes as Blue Myosotis other than the Ultimate Penalty.

Abilities: Speed and Strength.

Basic Story: At the start of Season 3 of Sonic X, Sonic was captured by the Metarex and brainwashed into becoming their Winter Soldier, the Metarex Warrior Blue Myosotis, the vanguard that prepared each planet for the Metarex's arrival. He spent (time frame not decided yet) as Blue Myosotis, meeting Cosmo in captivity and falling in love with her, until he was found and rescued by his friends. He seeks the end of the Metarex race, wants to see Dark Oak burn for his crimes, and see Cosmo finally safe and free. Then...well. There is no penance or atonement for Blue Myosotis's sins, other than the Ultimate Penalty.

Important Notes:

Cosmo 💖💖💖 Myo loves her with every piece of himself. She's the reason he never tried to escape, to protect her. Many of his scars are from defending her.

Partially Blind and Deaf in his left eye and ear.

Name: Cosmo the Seedrian; White Seed

Origin: Alt AU Cosmo

AU: Blue Myosotis AU

Alignment: Varies. Good Cosmo; Evil White Seed.

Personality:

As the White Seed: Cold, calculating, deceptive, charming. Will kill if ordered. There seems to be a burning fury beneath the surface...

As Cosmo: Sweet, compassionate, pretty much the same personality as she is in Canon, but there seems to be a bitterness, a hidden anger to her...

Abilities: Plant and Flower Manipulation, Flora Empathy, Healing Seeds.

Basic Story: From the time she was eight and the Metarex destroyed her clan, Cosmo has been an unwilling servant of the Metarex as White Seed, the Eyes and Ears of the Metarex. Her primary function as White Seed is to Infiltrate, Learn, Report, so that the Metarex can conquer a planet. After years, Sonic was captured and was forced into servitude alongside her, as Blue Myosotis, the Metarex Vanguard. She and Sonic fell in love in captivity, helping each other through the horrors they suffered each day. When Sonic vanished, she waited for him to come back for her, but he never came. Her despair and heartbreak led to her succumbing fully to the White Seed programming. Now she serves the Metarex entirely as White Seed, Cosmo's own self and mind buried deep in her own psyche.

Important Notes:

Myo. 💖💔💖 Despite everything, she still loves him dearly.

Cosmo's Gear as White Seed has very interesting functions: invisibility, adhesion, perception filters...

you had a plan. find a gentleman to marry, have your dowry paid and at all costs do not disappoint your father. but then james buchanan barnes came along and suddenly your plans were tossed aside.

it was never your intention to fall in love with him. his family was wealthy and respected, but he didn't like to entertain the idea of courtship. he had ignored his mother's pleas for years, but somehow she was able to get him to cooperate this season.

mr. barnes was a very handsome man. every girl your age knew that, but nobody ever dared to approach him. not after the several incidents where he blatantly rejected and insulted many of them.

which is why you were quite surprised when he so boldly introduced himself to you. in fact, you were almost certain he was playing at some kind of game. but he simply asked you to dance.

you carefully placed your hand in his and took to the dance floor, ever so lady-like. as if that was how you were on a day to day basis. you could practically hear your friends snickering in the back of your mind.

"how are you enjoying your evening, my lady?" he asked, breaking you from your train of thought. you didn't take your eyes off of him. "quite well. though i am curious," you said bluntly.

he arched a brow, "what for?"

"everyone knows that you are practically the least eligible suitor in this room, solely because you choose to be, so forgive me if i cannot help but wonder why you're over here with me" you spoke confidently.

mr. barnes smirked, "do i need an excuse to enjoy the company of a brilliant woman such as yourself?"

you frowned deeply, "brilliant? how could you assume such a thing? you do not know me."

"i know enough," he whispered at the cusp of your ear.

Can you drop some lore about father/son Shadow and Silver in your Sonic-Verse?

Pleaaaase?

Gladly!

So Shadow finds Silver abandoned somewhere in the future and decides to take him in. It doesn't take very long for Shadow to realize this is the same time travelling hedgehog he met 200 years ago in the past. It's weird for him to think about but it doesn't matter at the end of the day and he just raises Silver as best he can without Rouge at his side anymore. Speaking of Rouge, Shadow tells Silver all about her, so even though she's gone, Silver still feels a connection to her and calls her Mama Rouge. Ember (since he's GUN's recreation of the Ultimate Lifeform) is immortal, so he's still around and eventually meets back up with Shadow again and gets to meet Silver. They get along well! And I haven't decided yet if Spark and Dawn are still around by this point, but if they are, they like Silver too.

Shadow and Silver lead a vagabond style life together in the future. They travel from place to place, never staying for too long, but helping out any people they come across. They live day by day in this wasteland they call home, and I think this is what eventually convinces Silver to try going back to the past to make sure the decline of the planet never happens. This is subject to change though since I haven't entirely figured out the circumstances around Silver's time travel stuff quite yet.
