Love Knows No Bounds
Request: @alwaysforladyesdeath 'Can you make one where Sarah gets her immortality and she finds her love from the past who is now an immortal witch like her (female reader pls).'
I adored this request, such a lovely ask!
Finally free of the shackles that once bound her to the black flame candle, the youngest Sanderson chose not to heed Winnie's trivial warnings of mankind, opting to take to the skies just as she once had three centuries prior. Unfamiliar terrain sprawled beneath her flight path, though undeterred Sarah glided through the air, eyes closed shut as she relished in the breeze that tickled her face. Tresses of blonde hair twisted behind her frame, warping with every shift in directionality she made at random.
After minutes of flying blind, cerulean orbs snapped open as Sarah's senses became overwhelmed by nostaligic scents reminscent of a past long forgotten. The heady smell of lavender wafted through the air, persuading her with ease to search for its place of origin. The closer the blonde became, the more prominent the undertones of sickly sweet honey emerged, leading her directly toward a cottage that once held significant meaning.
Landing safely, Sarah hastened her steps as the house materialised through the treeline, the wooden structure constructed deeper within the forbidden forest than most. Smoke plumed from the chimney column, a shade of ash grey, unnaturally tinted with tones of fushcia as the light hit it. Soon Sarah raised her fist to knock, though her efforts were in vain as the door swung open in haste, a stunned woman appearing on the other side.
Unchanged, despite the passage of time, was Y/N standing stock still in the doorway. The blonde felt her heart palpitate within her chest, threatening to escape the confines of her ribcage if it continued for a moment longer. A shaking hand was proffered, unsure of what it reached for, landing gently upon the blonde's cheek in an affectionate manner. Slowly, a thumb smoothed over Sarah's red-flushed skin, tracing nonsensical patterns as she ensured the woman before her was in fact real and very much alive.
"Please tell me that thine own eyes do not deceive me... Sarah, is it really thou?" Sarah's smile grew ten-fold in response, her head nodding furiously to wordlessly answer the question. Those lips then parted with a squeal as she found herself being spun in place, lithe arms holding her close and secure. Throughout which a flurry of kisses were then pressed across her face, the majority peppering the blonde's forehead and cheeks, leaving stains of lipstick in their wake.
"Pray tell how is it that you are here... for I recall your hanging so vividly?" The momentary pause and involuntary shudder that followed conveyed how traumatic the sight must have been. In an attempt to distract from horrid memories, Sarah clasped Y/N's hands within her own emphatically replying, "Oh but that matters not, Y/N for all I wish for is to be with you? Doth thou still feel the same?"
Abating the doubts that lingered within the blonde's head, Y/N replied with a question of her own, "My sweet Sarah, was that ever in question?"
Leaning forward in order to close the gap of mere inches that separated the pair, Y/N kissed Sarah passionately as though no time had lapsed at all. Reciprocating in kind, the blonde melted having sorely missed the intimacy so freely offered by the other woman. Willingly, Sarah allowed herself to be pulled across the threshold of the abode with a tantalising whisper, "I have missed thy immensely," all too eager to partake in their familiar game of cat and mouse once more.

Hey, can you write relationship headcanons for Sarah Sanderson with a female s/o? I’m lowkey obsessed with her and there’s barely any content on tumblr about her :((
Tumblr media
Sarah Sanderson with a female s/o: Headcanons
A/N: Tysm for requesting this! I agree there's hardly any Sarah Sanderson fanfic which sucks bc after watching the second movie my childhood crush on her came back quick! Kinda glad though bc it made me take matters into my own hands and come out of my writer's block. Sorry if there are any typos I wrote this while coming down from a caffeine high lol.
Word count: 395 words
Warnings: None really except a song reference that is supposed to sound like a smut reference lol!
If you're a witch, the two of you would practice spells together and she’d convince her sister to let you join their coven.
If you’re not a witch then she’d constantly do magic to try to keep you entertained.
For example, if you were sad she’d conjure up a cat for you (not Binx unfortunately).
Scaring children together (as well as helping her steal some yknow).
Flying around on her broomstick together.
Pissing off Winnie together (unintentionally or intentionally who knows?).
Her telling you about Billy Butcherson.
Constant back and forth compliments over each other's outfits.
She tries to do silly hairstyles with your hair and fails.
If you have curly hair you take the time to teach her though (she’d still fail but).
If you’re living in the modern world then the two of you have a cute cottage together deep in the forbidden forest where it looks like it's Halloween all year long.
If you're living in the past though, the two of you live in secret in the forbidden forest together.
Constant hand-holding as well as kissing.
Winnie is sick of you two, Mary loves it.
Making each other jewelry.
Making potions together.
Causing chaos in Salem together.
Say you weren't burnt at the stake with the sisters, you stay alive all those centuries waiting for them.
You’re absolutely beaming when she’s revived in the 90s and show her all your favorite things about modern life.
When she fades at the end of Hocus Pocus 2 you cry uncontrollably because she keeps slipping away from you.
She constantly gifts you flowers or random things she found while walking around because they reminded her of you so much.
She gives you the best hugs when you’re sad.
Together, you make such a great duo that even her sisters joke that you should have your own coven (although Winnie would never let that happen).
Swapping outfits.
Trying to stop her from eating beauty products. You’d be like “no, that's not meant to be eaten you could die!” then she looks at you all confused while still drinking facial serum.
Having to explain to her technological advances, which really bloody gets you in the mood (if you know, you know).
Falling asleep in each other arms all the time.
Takes naps anywhere.
Literally anywhere like it gets ridiculous.
Always saying “I love you,” to each other.

329 years ago... ( October 31st, 1693)
A loud sudden gust of wind and the noise of spooked livestock woke Thackery Binx from his bed. He turned to his left to check on his little sister, Emily Binx, who was no longer in her bed. He quickly gets dressed and exits the house to search for his sister.
A strange song can be heard in the background, but Thackery ignores it as he asks his neighbor Elijah about his sister's whereabouts, "Elijah! Elijah, Has Thee seen my sister, Emily?" "Nay, but look they conjure" Elijah replies pointing to the woods where purple smoke can be seen in the sky. "Oh God! The woods!!" Thackery exclaims as he and Elijah run down the road to get a better look. They see Emily following a witch into the woods, giggling. Thackery calls out to his sister, but she fails to hear him. "She's done for!" Elijah says only to be cut off by Thackery, "Not Yet! Wake my father! Summon the elders!! Go!"
Thackery shoves Elijah before he takes off into the woods, calling after Emily. As he runs, he fails to see the steep hill he's atop and falls all the way down, panting and groaning. As he collects himself, he looks up to see his sister follow the witch into a cottage where two other witches are waiting with a boiling cauldron of purple liquid.
Thackery sneaks up to the cottage and peaks through a window to see the three witches gather around his sister like hungry wolves. His sister catches a glance of him and her eyes widen raising the witches' suspicion. The eldest witch, Winifred Sanderson, looks out the window while the other two, Mary and Sarah Sanderson, go outside to look for the cause of the surprised expression on the child's face. Seeing nothing, Winifred sighs and says before shutting the window, "Oh look. Another glorious morning. It makes me sick!" She turns her back to the window calling for her sisters before commenting, "Must have been an imp"
Winifred walks over to her spellbook and talks to the oddly living book, "My darling! My little book." She carresses the book as she continues to speak, "We must continue with our spell now that our little guest of honor has arrived. Mary!" She gestures her younger sister to stir the cauldron resulting in some bickering that the youngest of the three, Sarah, was not helping. Only for Winifred to point out that Sarah had done her job already.
The book opens itself to the page that contains the recipe for the potion the witches are brewing. Winifred reads the recipe as Mary brews, "Bring to a full rolling boil. Add two drops oil of boil. Mix blood of owl with the herb that's red. Turn three times, pluck a hair from thy head. Add a dash of pox and a dead man's toe" As they brew Thackery sneaks into the cottage by climbing the water wheel and entering the second floor window. After adding the dead man's toe, Sarah and Mary start to mess around causing Winifred to scold the two "Will you two stop that! I need to concentrate."
"Sisters! Gather 'round. One thing more and all is done. Add a bit of thine own tongue" Winifred says as she and her sisters spit into the cauldron causing the liquid in the cauldron to turn green meaning the potion has successfully been brewed. "Tis ready for tasting! One drop of this and her life will be mine. I mean, ours" Winifred said as she gathered a bit of the potion into a spoon before turning to Emily, "Alright girl open up your mouth" Thackery stands up making himself known in an attempt to save his sister, "No!!!" he screams jumping down onto the floor to stop the witches.
"Get him you fools!" Winifred shouts at her sisters. They circle around the cauldron until Thackery decides to empty the potion onto the floor and use the empty cauldron to knock the other two witches to the floor. "Emily!!" he calls as he runs towards her, but Winifred uses her power to zap Thackery, causing him to fall to the floor in pain.
As the two get up from the floor, Mary notices that Emily, who had drank a bit of the potion before her brother intervened, was surrounded by a feint light. "Winnie, look." Mary said cheerfully. Winifred smiled, "Sisters prepare thyselves. Tis her life force. The potion works. Take my hands we will share her"
The three sisters stalk towards the child and inhale her life force leaving, Emily Binx dead slumped over in the chair. Thackery brings himself to his feet as the sisters revel in their newfound youthful appearance that has been gained by inhaling Emily's life force.
Winifred turns to Thackery and grits out, "Let's brew another batch!"
"You hag! There are not enough children in the world to make thee young and beautiful." Thackery says insulting Winifred. She and her sisters decide to punish him and look through the spell book for options, eventually settling on one. "His punishment shall not be to die but to live forever with his guilt" The three begin to chant a spell turning Thackery into a black cat.
Too late to save anyone, a mob arrives at the Sandersons’ door, and they capture the sisters to hang them in the town square. Thackery's father interrigates the sisters before the hanging about the fate of his son which the sisters laugh and say, "I don't know cats got my tongue"
Before the sisters die, however, they sing a song and cast a curse, making it so that it is possible for them to return to their sacred city one day. "Fools! All of you! my ungodly book speaks to you. On All Hallows' Eve when the moon is round, a virgin will summon us from under the ground!! Ohho! We shall be back and all the lives of all the children shall be mine." Winifred cackles before Thackery's father orders them to be hung.
Present Day... (October 31st, 2022)
The nine lovers sat around the fireplace listening to each other tell scary Halloween stories to the group having a competition to see who could scare each other the most. "C’mon, y/n, you're not scared of the Sanderson sisters, are you?” Minho teased their girlfriend softly. She scoffed even though she had buried herself in Changbin's strong arms, "No, it's just that story is creepy. I mean, who curses a boy to be alive forever"
The others laughed before Hyunjin spoke up, "It's not that scary. why don't we go to the old Sanderson house and see if the cat is still there?" "I don't know, Jinnie. Are you sure that's a good idea?" Y/n asked. The others tried to encourage her to go with them. Chan wrapped his arms around y/n, "Don't worry, baby girl, I'll protect you."
Y/n reluctantly agreed to go with her boyfriends to the witches' house. They all slid on their coats before they said goodbye to y/n's parents and left the house. As they walked, Seungmin told them random facts about the Sanderson Sisters. "Legend says that the bones of a hundred children are buried underneath these walls," Seungmin says. Y/N and Felix shivered, holding onto each other. "You're not making this any better, Minnie." y/n said quietly as she held onto Felix's hand and one of Chan's arms.
They laughed softly as they entered the old house that had once been a museum but ultimately was closed because of the spooky things that had happened there. Jisung flicked on the light switch turning on all the lights. "Woah, this looks so cool" Jeongin said as they looked around
Seungmin and Minho took turns telling the group about the witches. "This is the spell book of Winifred Sanderson. The book is bound in human skin and contains the recipes for some of her most powerful and evil spells," Minho said. "We get the picture," Changbin said softly.
"What's that?" Felix asked, pointing to a candle standing in the corner. ""That's the black flame candle," Seungmin said. Hyunjin walked over to it, "Black flame candle, made from the fat of a hangman. Legend says it will raise the spirits of the dead when lit by a virgin on Halloween night." Hyunjin chuckles, "So why don't we light the sucker and meet the old hags?" Y/N instantly shook her head, "Let's not and say we did."
Hyunjin goes to light it when Thackery Binx jumps onto him trying to prevent him from doing so. Hyunjin screams as he falls to the floor, "Stupid cat!" He stands up after prying Thackery off of him. "Okay Hyune, you've had your fun. It's time to go" Jisung says softly. "He's right it's time to go" Chan agrees. "Oh come on it's just a bunch of hocus pocus" Hyunjin says with a scoff shaking his head. "Jinnie I'm not kidding this time it's time to go," Y/n said taking Chan's hand in hers.
Hyunjin shook his head and lit the candle with his lighter, "JIN NO!" Felix said loudly. Y/n gasps as all the lights go out, the wind blew heavily, and the ground started shaking. Chan pulled her close as they looked at Hyunjin, "Looks like a virgin lit the candle."

Immortal love
Chapter one
(Part two)
Billy Butcherson x Transgender! Ftm! Reader.
Warnings: cursing, fluff.
(I'm going to be switching between he and they for the reader because it makes it a little less confusing.
Also yes I know this whole story is in third person, I'm sorry.)
~~~~~~~~~
Billy was certainly confused as to why a random human resurrected him but he was happy that they did. He found that the person's name was Y/N and that they were actually a he. Y/N took the time to explain to Billy that they were born female but never felt like they were a female, it made sense to Billy surprisingly, considering he was from the 1600s.
Y/N was shocked at how well Billy took the information, even asking why he wasn't upset or something. Billy's response was "I knew three witches who practiced black magic and was on good terms with a talking cat. A transgendered man with witche's blood makes plenty of sense to me, now what would really make me upset is if those witches came back." He laughed causing Y/N to relax a little, letting out a little chuckle.
Y/N was more than happy to take Billy back to his house, helping him walk the few blocks to his home. As they walked Billy talked about the sisters, telling Y/N about how he had been in love with Sarah Sanderson at one point but Winifred was obsessed with him, that obsession lead to his death. "It was one kiss and I really didn't have a choice in the matter. She claimed I was hers and that I cheated... that lead to her poisoning me..." He trailed off but after a few minutes of silence he started talking again "It's sad because Sarah was genuinely a sweet girl and deserved so much more than what she got."
When Y/N lead him into the house "make yourself at home, you're welcome to stay here with me if you'd like, or you can just go wander around Salem."
Billy gave him a look of shock "you're not going to make me do your bidding?"
Y/N shook his head "Nope! Just giving you the life you never got to have because of that witch." He sat his bag on the table and began putting the ritual items away "are you hungry?"
Billy gave him a small nod "I don't eat human flesh if that's what you're worried about." He put his hands up in defence.
Y/N shook his head with a soft chuckle "I'm not worried about it, I was asking because I'm going to make dinner and just wanted to know if you were going to want any.... though that was dumb because you're a zombie and you probably can't eat..."
"You brought me back to life right? Maybe I can eat human food, there's no harm in trying right?" Billy flashed him a smile.
Surprisingly enough (and much to Billy's absolute delight) he could eat normal food! And he was so glad he could because not only was Y/N a great witch, he was one hell of a cook too. He smiled brightly, thanking him profusely for cooking such wonderful food.
Y/N sat with Billy after setting the dishes in the sink and Billy looked over to them "why did you raise me from the dead if you weren't planning on using me to do your bidding?"
Y/N shrugged his shoulders "honestly, I was just curious about you... I felt kind of bad that you died so young... I wanted you to have another chance."
Billy hadn't felt his heart flutter since he was alive but he could have sworn in that moment he felt his heart flutter and butterflies in his stomach. He hadn't felt this way in a very, very, long time.
Elijah Mikaelson x female!reader
Word count: 2,970
tw: kind of sad, mentions of being an orphan, not a whole lot!
Elijah stood in the crowd, absentmindedly sipping his champagne while listening in on different conversations. Laughter bubbled throughout the compound at another Mikaelson ball. He sighed and made his way to find his brother. He heard Klaus from far off, bickering with Hope about the dress she had chosen for the night.
"Dad, it's my birthday ball. I should be able to wear what I want!" She huffed. Elijah turned the corner into one of the various hallways of the compound, coming around to see the father and daughter facing off.
He chuckled, "Children, please," he said, eyeing Hope's admittedly short dress. Her hair was curled and she sported a sky blue cocktail dress. "Although your father may have a point," Elijah stated, raising an eyebrow.
Klaus gestured to Elijah, "Thank you, brother!" He exclaimed.
"I'm 18! I'm going to wear whatever I want," Hope said, storming into the party with finality. Elijah walked closer to his brother, putting a hand on his shoulder, stifling a laugh.
"She is very strong-willed, like her father," He said, raising his champagne flute to his lips. Klaus glared at his brother and sighed. "She has a point though. She is a young woman now. Just give her this one night to do and wear what she wants." The men turned and departed the hallway, heading back into the party. Klaus grabbed a champagne flute and headed to stand on a flight of stairs. Elijah stood at the base, looking into the crowd again.
"May I have your attention!" Klaus called out into the large room, "I would like to say a few words about my daughter, Hope." Klaus smiled down at her as he began his speech. Elijah continued to scan the room. His brother's voice faded from his ears when his eyes landed on a woman amongst the crowd, standing with his sister Freya. She was beautiful, wearing a blush coloured, floor-length dress. Her Y/C/H hair flowing down her back in an elegantly curled braid. She beamed up at Klaus as he gave his heartfelt speech about Hope. Elijah felt an unfamiliar sensation in his chest, a feeling he hadn't felt in a very, very long time.
In unison, the crowd lifted their glasses and cheered, "To Hope!" The woman put her glass to her full, pink lips. The room erupted into conversation and movement, and Elijah lost sight of her. As if jogged from a trance, Elijah put his champagne on the nearest surface and began searching the crowd once more. He pushed passed strangers and friends alike to get to where he had spotted her. He broke through the other side of the crowd, looking around for her or Freya. He found the two making their way around the outskirts of the party, talking and laughing together. He took a second to compose himself, putting his left hand in his suit pants pocket. Taking a deep breath, he followed after her.
"Good evening," he said casually, coming up behind the two women. They turned and Freya greeted him with a smile and a warm hug. The stranger stood by with a polite smile on her face.
"Elijah! I was wondering when I'd see you," she pulled away and turned to the woman next to her. "Y/N, this is my brother, Elijah." Freya smiled at Y/N.
"Hello, Elijah," She greeted, extending her hand. Rather than shaking it, Elijah took her hand and raised it to his lips, kissing it softly. Blush crept up Y/N's cheeks as Freya's eyebrows raised.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," Elijah said, not taking his eyes off her Y/E/C ones. "May I have this dance?" He heard her heartbeat quicken as she gave a small nod, letting Elijah gently tug her to the dance floor.
"I guess I'll just hang out here! By myself!" Freya called after them, huffing to herself.
--
Y/N was a New Orleans French Quarter witch. That was how she and Freya had met and became friends. Y/N had started coming around the compound more and more frequently over the following weeks, becoming closer to the Original family. Rosie cheeks and stolen glances at Elijah filled her visits under the excuse of hanging out with Freya. She loved her friend, truly, but she couldn't get her mind off of the oldest Mikaelson brother. He, on the other hand, seemed to distance himself from her after his first introduction. She had hoped that she didn't offend him in some way. “Maybe I’m just not his type,“ She thought to herself.
"Y/N?" Freya's voice sounded in Y/N's head, jogging her from her thoughts.
"What, I'm sorry?" She looked at her friend, confused. They were sitting on a couch located in the library of the compound, pulling a late-night together. Her thoughts of Elijah had distracted her mid-conversation.
Freya rolled her eyes. "I asked if you'd like to come to the Halloween party we're throwing here this weekend. Hope wants it to be a big event, and you know Klaus would do anything to keep her happy." Freya smiled at Y/N.
Y/N nodded, thinking about the father/daughter relationship Hope and Klaus had brought a sad smile to her face. She was glad Hope would have the love of family throughout her life. Y/N was alone in New Orleans, growing up in different foster homes and halfway houses. Her real family unknown to her, she had been tossed from house to house because of the unexplainable things that happened around her. Until she met Vincent, back when he was still married to Eva Sinclair. He taught Y/N about what living in New Orleans really meant for people like her. He made her feel like she belonged.
"I'd love to come! Costume party?" Y/N asked, sipping tea from her mug.
Freya nodded, "Hope wouldn't have it any other way."
Elijah rolled his eyes. "I will not be wearing a costume. I believe I may just stay behind and let you all enjoy the fun," He said to Hope and Klaus. Hope was trying on her little red riding hood costume for the party that night when she turned and glared at Elijah.
"Come on, Uncle Elijah. Auntie Bex is! I even got dad some devil horns that he's going to wear, right dad?" She looked over at Klaus who grimaced and looked at Elijah pleadingly.
"Yes, darling, I'll wear them," He said, defeated. Hope smiled and looked back at Elijah. Elijah shook his head again, turning to exit the room.
"Y/N will be there," Hope exclaimed as he walked toward the door. Elijah stopped in his tracks and closed his eyes, sighing. She knew that would get him to come. He wasn’t as good at hiding his feelings as he thought he was, or maybe Hope was just perceptive. Hope smiled triumphantly to herself as she turned back to the mirror to look at her costume once more, perfecting the details.
--
Y/N entered the compound, her dress flurrying around her as she was met by a large crowd of people. The sun had set and the party was in full swing. The Mikaelson’s sure know how to throw a rager, she thought to herself. She walked farther into the crowd, her dress and cloak billowing around her. She headed toward the bar, keeping her eyes peeled for Freya.
"There you are!" Freya's voice came from behind her, muffled by the music. Y/N turned and saw her friend dressed in a bright pink dress, star wand in hand with a large crown atop her head. Y/N stifled a laugh at the sight.
"And what are you supposed to be?" Y/N said over the music.
Freya frowned, "What, you don't get it? I'm Glinda! You know, from The Wizard Of Oz?" She flourished her wand in Y/N's face and laughed.  Freya was already a few drinks in. "Who are you supposed to be?" She asked, her words slightly slurred.
Y/N looked down at her costume, and back up to Freya. "I'm Sarah Sanderson! From Hocus Pocus," Y/N twirled in her spot. She and Freya giggled as Y/N spun. Mid-spin, she spotted Elijah coming down the stairs and her breath hitched in her throat. She didn't take Elijah for the costume type, so she hadn't expected him to be here tonight.
He looked absolutely regal in his black suit and tie. Large white angels wings sprouted from his back. He looked around the room while coming down the stairs, not yet seeing Y/N. Freya followed Y/N's gaze and saw Elijah.  She drunkenly put an arm around Y/N's shoulder.
"You know, I think you have a thing for my brother," She accused. Y/N blushed, turning away from the angel.
"I'm the last person he would be interested in if I was," Y/N cast one last look his way before turning back to the bar, ordering a drink. "Let's get this party started," She said to her friend, giving her a smile. She reminded herself to not get attached. Everyone leaves eventually.
--
Y/N and Freya were joined by Rebekah, but they couldn't quite tell who she was dressed as. All they could tell was that it was tight and it was spandex. The three danced and drank in the middle of the party, not a care in the world. Elijah watched from the bar protectively. Something about this woman was so magnetic, so charming. He couldn't bring himself to admit that there was a flame ignited in his heart at the sight of her. He doesn't let people in. She's a mortal witch, her life span was the blink of an eye compared to his. No, he wouldn't let himself get attached. She would see him for the monster he was. He turned to mingle with the crowd, although he never let the three women leave his line of sight.
Y/N was having the time of her life with her friends, drunkenly dancing the night away.
“I’m going to go grab more drinks!” She slurred to the other two girls. They cheered in response as she turned and stumbled toward the bar. She caught the bartender's attention and ordered. He returned with three shot glasses and she thanked him, turning to get back to dancing. Before she could take a step, she collided with someone.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry!” She cried, slurring her words. She stumbled back to look at the person she collided with, finding the handsome angel she had been eyeing earlier. He pursed his lips, wiping the front of his suit with his handkerchief. “Elijah,” she gasped, “I am so sorry, let me he-”
“Do not bother, Y/N,” he said, holding his hand up. He glared in her direction, not looking in her eyes. She gulped at his response.
“Please, let me make it up to you,” She tried dipping her head to catch his eye. He turned and motioned to the bartender for more shots.
“Have a pleasant evening,” He nodded curtly at her and turned to walk away, leaving her standing there, unsure of what just happened. Anger flared in her chest as she watched the angel walk away. She grabbed one of the shots that the bartender had set out and downed it quickly. Taking the other two to her friends, she let the music take her away, continuing to party.
-
The night continued on and the party began to thin out, while the three girls in the center of the dance floor kept going, laughing and dancing. Elijah had kept his eyes on them, amazed at how the two witches could keep up with the vampire. Elijah looked around at the few stragglers left, sitting around drunkenly talking to one another. He made his way across the compound, heading towards the stairs to head up to his room for the night. The music was quieter now,  not as upbeat. Y/N saw him moving across the dance floor and stumbled as fast as she could to get in front of him.
“Elijah,” She slurred,  “Please let me apologize for earlier. Dance with me!” She scooped him away before he could object, wrapping her arms around his neck, not letting him leave.
“Y/N I-” He started, but she shushed him, swaying to the music.
“Elijah I know you don’t like me that much, and I don’t know why but I just want to let you know that I’m sorry for spilling those drinks on you and I’m sorry for making you hate me for whatever reason,” she drunkenly let her head fall on his chest while she spoke, her eyes fluttering shut.
Elijah’s eyes widened at her speech, his hands falling to rest on her back. She hummed at his touch and smiled, eyes still closed. “Y/N… I apologize for making you feel that way, that was not my intention.” He looked down at her, “I just wanted to keep you safe,” He whispered.
Suddenly Y/N slumped into him, dropping like dead weight. Elijah reacted quickly and scooped her up, seeing she had passed out. He looked toward Freya and Rebecca who had already fallen asleep on the couch, snuggling into each other. His heart warmed at the sight of his sisters together. He refocused on the beautiful woman in his arms and began to climb the stairs, heading toward his room. He gently opened the door and crossed the room, laying her in the bed and covering her up. She adjusted into the comfort of the bed, grabbing Elijah’s hand as he slid his arms out from underneath her.
“Stay with me?” she mumbled. His heart softened and he silently agreed, stripping out of his wings and suit jacket. He crossed to the other side of the bed and slid into it, careful not to touch her. She turned to him and opened her eyes slightly. “Will you hold me?” she asked quietly. Tears brimmed her eyes.
He nodded and opened his arms to her, confused and worried. “What’s wrong, darling?” He whispered.
She moved into his open arms and placed her head on his chest, wrapping one arm around the front of him tightly. He felt his shirt dampen where her head lay. He held her close, rubbing one hand up and down her back, waiting for a response. He felt her start to tremble next to him.
“I think I’m in love with you, and I’m terrified,” she whispered into him. She let out a small cry, scared of his reaction. “I’m terrified you’ll hate me for telling you. I’m terrified you’ll leave if we do end up together. I’m terrified of everything falling apart. I’m terrified of people leaving.”
Elijah’s heart cracked at her words.
“Y/N.. I think I’m terrified to admit the feelings I have for you. I wish nothing more than for your safety and happiness,” He kissed her hair and he felt her relax in his arms. She had fallen asleep on him, inebriated and vulnerable. Elijah held her for the rest of the night, stroking her hair and cherishing the moment.
-
When morning came, Y/N thought her head would explode. She groaned and rolled over, putting her hands over her face. The bed was empty beside her. How did she get in the bed? Her memory was fuzzy, but she remembered large white wings and strong arms carrying her. She sat up in bed, suddenly panicked, realizing who’s room she was in. What else had happened? She concentrated, squeezing her eyes shut.  “I wish nothing more than for your safety and happiness,“ She remembered hearing his deep voice whisper to her before she fell asleep. Her heart thudded heavily in her chest. Had she dreamt of this confession? Did her drunken subconscious trick her into hearing his voice?
Someone cleared their throat in the doorway, startling her. She looked up to see Elijah holding a tray with water, aspirin, eggs, and toast. She blushed intensely, trying to brush her hair down and make herself look decent. He smiled at her warmly. “Good morning. I apologize for startling you,” He said. He crossed the room to her, putting the tray on the nightstand and sitting on the bed next to her.
He stared into her eyes, warmth flooding his chest. “It wasn’t a dream,” he said quietly, confirming her silent hope. He heard her heart flutter at his words.
Tears brimmed her eyes again. She bit her lip and looked down at her hands. “What does this mean for us?” She whispered.
He reached out and moved her chin to look at him. “It means I love you.” He smiled at her. Tears spilled onto her cheeks as she smiled and leaned forward, closing the space between them. She kissed him with no regard for the world around them. Her hands moved to his neck, tangling in his chestnut hair. He pulled her close, deepening the kiss and laying her on the bed. The eggs and toast got cold before Y/N got to them.
-
“I’ve been wanting this since you asked me to dance that night.” Y/N said, playing with Elijah’s hand as they laid side by side. “I haven’t been able to get you out of my head.” She smiled.
He adjusted to put his arm around her and pulled her close, kissing her head. “You will never have to be terrified again. I am here and I’m not leaving you. You have my word.” He moved her chin with his free hand to gaze into her Y/E/C eyes. He kissed her again, hoping to convey his pent up love and lust in one kiss. He knew he’d never be able to make her understand the depths of his affection for her. Just as he knew he may never know the extent of hers for him.
She pulled away slightly and whispered, “I love you and I’m not terrified anymore.”
February Wrap Up (Finally)
Okay! So I’m finally getting to this...five days late. Oops. Just to clear that up, I started a reading journal towards the end of February and wanted to do entries for the month of February before making this post. I’m hoping that this will help me organize my thoughts for my reviews. So I can actually... post reviews.
Anyway. Here we go! I’m going to begin with my overall thoughts and then go into my stats and put reviews under the cut so if you haven’t read these books and want to avoid spoilers you can!
Overall thoughts on this month’s reading:
I DNF’d one-third of my TBR this month (two of six. I say one third like it’s so many more than that). It’s a little funny that I had so much more success with the books I hadn’t actually planned to read than my TBR. I’m also kind of surprised that I made it through some of the books that I did, when I DNF’d other books for similar reasons. I did go into this month knowing that this was going to be a difficult bunch of books to get through,
I think I’m going to have to adjust my Goodreads reading challenge. I’ve already more than halfway through it and its only February. I'm honestly surprised. I didn’t think I was going to make it through the 52 I had planned.
Stats for this month:
Total Books Read (Finished): 18
DNF’d Books: 2
Books I need to Finish: 4
All-Out: The No-Longer-Secret Stories of Queer Teens Throughout the Ages by Saundra Mitchell, et al.
City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling
We Are the Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson
Academic Books: 3
A Midsummer Night’s Dream by  Willaim Shakespeare
Young Goodman Brown by Nathaniel Hawthorne
Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
Ratings:
Five Stars: 5
Four Stars: 7
Three Stars: 4
Two Stars: 2
One Star:  0
Spoilery Reviews Under the Cut!
DNF’d Books:
Frozen by Melissa De LaCruz and Micheal Johnston
It was a weird book. In general. And then the Scene that implied sexual assault happened, and I had to stop reading. I just couldn’t bring myself to finish it.
Ender’s Game By Orson Scott Card
I was having trouble getting into the book in the first place, and then I realized that these were six year old kids. Being trained for war. Against aliens. As I have a sister who’s six, this didn’t sit well with me.
Two Star Books:
Echo by Alyson Noel
I was really dissappointed in this book. I really enjoyed the first book in the Soul Seekers book, Fated. I liked the worldbuilding, the relationship between Daire and Dace, the concept of the Echo. But I had too many complaints about this book. Mainly with Cade. I feel like I could have liked him more if he had some actual development and clearer motivations. Though, I think the attempted rape scene was a little much (that’s an understatement.) I think it would be nice if there were a YA book where the female MC wasn’t assaulted, or at least that addresses it properly afterward.
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
I’m honestly surprised that I finished this one, after I DNF’d another book for similar things happening. I didn't like Feyre much. She didn't seem to have much moe to her character other than painting and hunting. For someone who was meant to be so strong willed, she seemed to change her mind too easily. Rhysand...I don’t know where it start with him. He’s not much of one here, but it’s pretty obvious that they’re setting him up as a love interst in the later books. Can we stop having abusive boyfriends in YA lit? Tamlin was a little pathetic. Maybe don’t alienate the one person that’s your shot at freedom? Maybe? Feyre and Tamilin’s relationship was cute, but it wasn't really all that convincing.
Three Star Books:
The Maze Runner by James Dashner
The Maze runner was good. I’m not sure if it was good enough to deserve the hype it received. I did not like that there was so much that was left unanswered in the beginning. It’s one thing to withhold information to create interest. It’s another to taunt your readers by having a character ask the questions, and the others refusing to give an answer. I did think the ending was an interesting twist, to stage a ‘rescue’ and then have it turn out to be apart of the trials.
Love Drugged by James Klise
There’s...a lot to unpack with this one. At first, the general premise made me feel a little sick. I almost stopped reading it several times thoughtout the book, especially when the chaacters described being gay as a disease. But by the time I finished, I think I understood better. Jamie was being mainipulated, not just by the doctor, but by society to think that way. His journey to discover and understand himself leads to his desperate actions in an effort to escape that manipulation. It’s heartbreaking to know that Jamie's thoughts were based off of off the author’s when he was around the same age.
Take Two by Julia Devillers & Jennifer Roy
I was kind of disappointed in this book. I loved the first one when I was younger, so the fact that I didn’t feel the same about the sequel is a let down. Though I guess that might have to do with the difference in age between the times I read them
Young Goodman Brown by Nathaniel Hawthorne
Four Star books:
Mockingjay by Suzzane Collins
I cried so much reading this book. Katniss yelling at Buttercup at the end broke me. Her “for Prim” before the execution was beautiful (I’ll admit it took me some time to realize she was hinting at what she was planning to do.) Cinna having a part in the rebellion even after his death. The amount that Haymitch cares about Peeta and Katniss. UGH the feels. I did have a problem with the pacing. I felt like all the action was squeezed in at teh end. And Peeta and Katniss’s relationship seemed to seesaw between them in it’s one-sidedness throughout the series.
Duel Of Fire by Jordan Rivet
I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. Especially at he beginning, I thought the characters were annoying. But that GROWTH. By the end, I loved the characters. I had a hunch about who the rebels were, but I wasn’t sure until they were revealed. I loved the magic system and world building, and I can’t wait to see how the story will be developed in the next book and the rest of the series.
Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson
This was my first Brandon Sanderson book and I was not disappointed. The concept was interesting, the Epics having a specific weakness kept them from being overpowered, and I loved the fact that  the “Normal people” weere the heroes (For the most part.) I KNEW there was somehing up wiht Megan. But Steelheart’s weakness completely threw me off. I had so many theories, but I was wrong on all of them. That was a plot twist done well.
City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare
(I’m actually not going to include my notes here because they turned into more of a rant at the characters than an actual reveiw)
Galatea by Madaline Miller
I want more of this. Any additional content, I want it. It says something that she felt the only way to escape was to die (And take her husband with her). I REALLY want to know what happened with their daughter.
The Skin I’m In by Sharon G. Flake
This is a reread for me. I read tthis book when I, I believe,  was the same age as Maleeka. And at the time, while I had never been in the same situations she’s in, I could still relate to her. Now, as an adult working with students Maleeka’s age, I see my students. It gives me a better insight to what might be going on in their homes, thoughts, and attitudes. This is a book that so many of them should read, just like so many of them could use a Ms. Saunderson.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Willaim Shakespeare
Five Star books:
Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare
This book. This book. I audiobooked most of it, which meant that I was listening to it in class while working. Which means I cried. During class. This is one of the few love triangles I think I’ve ever really liked and am actually emotionally invested in. I fully understand the hype around this series. I can't wait to pick up the next one.
The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo
After finishing the audiobook, I'm sitting here trying to find the words to describe how much this means to me. How many of Xiomara's thoughts and feelings I relate to. And I just can't find the words. I can't remember the last time a book meant this much to me. Wanting to find my own voice. Beginning to question the religion that has been such a big part of my life for a long time. Feeling like I have to hide parts of myself, my thoughts, my feelings, everything I wish I could say but can't, from people I care about. Wanting my own writing to mean something to others. I wish I could put what I'm feeling into words, but I'm struggling. I cried. I need a copy of this book. I loved it so much.
Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen
I feel like Dessen’s books follow a pattern. I’ve only read three so far, but I’m able to see the similarities. However, that dosn't stop them from being unique. Sydney’s problems are different from Macy’s, whose are different from Collie’s. So while the books are similar enought to notice a pattern,  they’re unique enough to keep the reader’s interest. I wouldn’t say that Saint Anything has impacted me as much as some books have, but I did still enjoy it. Also, a moment of appreciation for instances of sexual assault handled correctly? It's rare to see the subject addressed in a book after it happens. Though I would have loved to see Ames prosecuted. We need to tell girls it's okay to speak up about these things.
Tell Me Again How a Crush Should Feel by Sara Farizan
I loved this. I’m not even sue how to put it all inot words. First of all, Saskia getting expelled? Excellent. That girl made me so mad. Messing with Lila’s feelings was bad enough, but hen going stalker, assualting her, and then outing her to the entire school? I think I would have liked to see even more of a punishment, honestly. Maybe someting from her parents. LISA. I loved Lisa. I’m so happy she and Leila ended up together. They both deserved to be happy and I’m so happy they got to be happy together. I was so emotional after finishing this book.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
I’m not going to go too in depth because then this would be way too long but this is my favorite book that I’ve had to read for a calss. Ever.
A-Z Book Tag
I ran across this and thought I’d give it a try.
A- Author you’ve read the most: Based on number of books on my shelves, Rick Riordan.
B- Best sequel ever: This is not a fair question, but I’m going with The Toll by Neal Shusterman, because the wait made it that much better.
C- Currently reading: Rereading City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare
D- Drink of choice while reading: Water or coffee
E- E-reader or physical book: Physical book. Only time I read on a screen is if it’s fanfiction.
F- Fictional character you probably would have dated in HS: She’d have been way out of my league, but Isabelle Lightwood.
G- Glad you gave this book a chance: Vicious by V.E. Schwab. I ordered it so I’d have something for her to sign, and I’m so glad I did.
H- Hidden gem book(s): The Unicorn Chronicles series by Bruce Coville. I was obsessed with these when I was a kid. No one ever talks about them.
I- Important moment in your reading life: Seeing they/them used as a singular pronoun for the first time (The Ship of the Dead by Rick Riordan).
J- Just finished: Rereading The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, and Maureen Johnson.
K- Kind of books you won’t read: Classics, and most historical fiction.
L- Longest book you’ve read: Might be Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas. I’m not sure.
M- Major book hangover because of: Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. I literally couldn’t think about anything else for days.
N- Number of bookcases you own: 4
O- One book you’ve read multiple times: It’s embarrassing how many times I’ve read Carry On by Rainbow Rowell.
P- Preferred place to read- Bed.
Q- Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read: “Whatever you are physically, male or female, strong or weak, ill or healthy- all those things matter less than what your heart contains. If you have the soul of a warrior, you are a warrior. Whatever the color, the shape, the design of the shade that conceals it, the flame inside the lamp remains the same. You are that flame.”- Jem Carstairs
R- Reading regret: All the assigned reading I’ve ever had to do for school. Also Twilight.
S- Series you started and need to finish: It doesn’t count as finishing a series, but I’ve had Starsight by Brandon Sanderson sitting around forever (the sequel to Skyward).
T- Three of your all-time favorite books: Another unfair question. I’ll say Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare,Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, and The Raven King by Maggie Steifvater.
U- Unapologetic nerd-out for: Literally all things bookish, but I’ll just say Harry Potter.
V- Very excited for this release, more than all the others: The Lost Book of the White by Cassandra Clare and Wesley Chu.
W- Worst bookish habit: Tapping on the pages of books while I read. I’ve been told the sound is infuriating.
X- X marks the spot. Start at the top left of your bookshelf and pick the 27th book: Depends on which shelf you’re counting on: Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell, A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab,The Burning Maze by Rick Riordan, or Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi.
Y- Your latest book purchase: Just preordered One True King by Soman Chainani.
Z- Zzz snatcher. Last book that kept you up way too late: Heart of Flames by Nicki Pau Preto.
Take Off
Request: @emsmultiverse 'Can you make one where it's based on hocus pocus 2, and we are one of the girls older sister and Sarah falls for us stealing our first kiss.
Apologies for taking so long on this request, work had me quite busy these last number of weeks!
Losing out on Sandy's infamous candy apples made the ride home with dad all the more tortourous. He was unable to go a single minute without letting out a dissappointed sigh and neither a joke or humourous costume was able to pull him from his misery. The silence that persisted in the vehicle shattered as we pulled into the driveway, as Cassie and her friends screamed for us to stop. The reason as to why was revealed as the garage door opened, uncovering three figures, all hastily shielding their faces from the illumination of our headlights.
Hefting my costume's skirts up off the ground I clambered from the car, muttering countless apologies to the three women. Although, as I glanced towards them properly, I paused mid sentence while confusion flooded my body. Each wore outfits befitting of another era, all adorned with intricately embroidered details and patchwork fixes. The look as a whole was reminescent of the legendary Sanderson sisters, almost too accurately if stories from the Dennison family were to be believed.
Cocking my head to the side ever so slightly, I remained ignorant to my dad approaching until his hand tapped my shoulder in passing. As he came into the view, all but one of the sisters were transfixed. The blonde peered at me with vivid blue eyes, before offering an overly enthusiastic greeting of, "Hello, young maiden."
Before responding in kind, the redhead painfully dug her elbow into her sister's abdomen forcing a shift in her attention. Deterred by the interruption, I inched forward with the intention of retiring for the evening only for Cassie to call aloud, "Wait, Y/N, dad!" Ignoring her antics I pushed on, rolling my eyes at her dramatics once more. As I passed by the trio, I threw a shy smile to the blonde who had become embroiled in my sister's idiotic prank.
-------------------------------------
When called upon, I reluctantly agreed to see that Cassie returned after sending her friends home for the night. Offering a tired smile to Becca and Izzy, I slouched against Gilbert's trolley as I listened to their successful efforts to rectify petty squables and introspective revelations. As the minutes passed by the chill of the night crept through my costume. Forcing myself off of the cart I called over my shoulder,"I'm all for you guys making up, but Cassie it's cold and I would prefer not becoming a popsicle."
The group chuckled at my lack of patience as Cassie replied, "Yeah, coming now Y/N. I'll see you guys tomorrow."
As we began to retrace our steps back to the house, our feet lost contact with the ground without warning. Letting out a squeal akin to my own sister's, I grappled with my captor despite the drop that awaited me should I fall. "Oh sweet maiden, how lovely it is to see thy again."
Peering upward I was greeted by lips, painted in red, turned upward in a smile. The young woman's cerulean eyes were alight under the glimmer of the moon, creating a bewitching aura above curling locks of blonde hair.
With little effort, Sarah hoisted my body to sit snuggly against her own frame, revelling in the contact she initiated. Lithe fingers teasingly danced across my hand before traversing the curves and dips of my figure, their final resting place being on my hip. Any tension held within my body melted away with her gentle ministrations, allowing myself to string together a coherent answer, "Tis a pleasure to be in your company once more."
Carefree laughter peeled from her lips in glee at the response, yet halted as a voice screeched into the night chastising the youngest sister, "Sarah, why hath thou lifted the other Traske, for we only needed one, you fool!"
The arm that clung to my waist tightened as the insult hit its mark, "Very sorry Winnie, very sorry."
As her head dropped onto my shoulder, I instinctually reacted, running my fingers comfortingly through unkempt tresses of blonde hair, "If it is of any help, I do not think thou is foolish in the slightest."
Neither action or comment were anticipated on Sarah's behalf, who could not recall a time when someone defended her so passionately. Allowing the shock to dissipate, she eased into the affection so freely given, muttering a quiet, "Dear maiden, thou is too kind."
She too reciprocated in kind, tracing across the features of my face with delicate motions, each with the intention of turning my head in her direction. Naively, I allowed this to happen and was not opposed to the kiss she then planted on my lips. I rather enjoyed the sensation of our lips moving against one another, so much so that I chased after her own as she retreated to catch a breath. Had we not been flying at that very moment and very nearly lost our balance, there would have been no stopping us.
Hi! I’m so happy your writing for Sarah Sanderson! Do you think you can write a thing about Sarah falling in love with the female reader… who’s apart of Becca’s friend group? Thank you!! :)
Tumblr media
She's My Witch
Sarah Sanderson x fem!reader
A/N: Ty for requesting this, I hope it was to your satisfaction! I had to age up the character to 20 bc Becca and her friends are all 16 and I don’t think Sarah Sanderson should see 16-year-olds romantically even if she's from the 1600s. Sorry if this seems to drag on and if some things are exact to what happened, wrote this on my lunch break and I have a bad memory.  Also sorry this took so long my computer stopped working for a bit.
Word Count: This is 993 words, my biggest fanfic yet!
Warnings: Kissing, mentions of smut but nothing actually happens in the text, unproofread writing.
It was Halloween again, your favorite time of year. Not just because it was one of your best friend's birthdays, but because it meant that you could dress as spookily as you wanted and no one could say a thing, especially since you lived in Salem, Massachusetts. At this very moment, you were in Olde Salem Magic Shoppe looking for new crystals to buy when Becca and Izzy came into the shop.
“Hey, guys!” You shouted, walking over to hug the birthday girl. You gave her a tight squeeze but noticed that she had a sad look on her face. “Oh no,” you said, turning to Izzy, “is she still upset over Cassie’s party?” Izzy looked at you with a look that said “duh!”
“We both are,” she sighed.
“And so should you!” Becca said. You sighed, bringing them both in for a tight side hug.
“Listen, guys…These kinds of things just happen, just wait until the party is over and she’ll realize that it was pointless to spend Halloween without you two.” You said, attempting to reassure them. That just made them look even more depressed. You sighed, “listen, I have to go feed my cats but I’ll be sure to stop by the woods just in time for our little yearly ritual!” That made them seem happy, knowing that you were still there for them.
~That same night - the forbidden forest ~
You, Becca, and Izzy were sat in a triangle around a black candle. The full moon was out and you were starting to feel weirded out by the woods. You watch Becca light the candle and together, the three of you recite your usual birthday ritual. Once it's done you zone out, trying to not feel creeped out by being in the woods at night. You can hear Becca and Izzy bickering, something about the candle not blowing out.
“Excuse me?” You say, “what do you mean the candle’s not blowing out just pour water on it!” Becca follows your instruction, pouring water on the unusual candle before it lights back up, leaving the three of you afraid. You blow it out quickly and begin packing up. The three of you walk a decent few steps before you hear beautiful singing. You start to run and before you know it, you run into three women. Becca and Izzy scream, but you stay mesmerized by the beautiful blonde woman on the left. Suddenly, you realize just who the three of you have run into.
“Holy shit!” You say. “It’s the Sanderson Sisters!
“Yeah, we gathered that!” Yelled Becca, slowly backing away, taking her hand in yours before sprinting away. You didn't make it very far before the sisters showed up in front of the three of you again. Already, they deduced that Becca and Izzy were teens, dismissing you. Well, not all of them dismissed you. The pretty blonde woman kept making eyes at you and even if she was kinda threatening to eat literal children's souls at the moment, you couldn't stop making them back.
You followed the girls as they lead the witches to the local Walgreens, tricking them into believing that skincare products were potions, watching as they gobbled them up. Eventually, they discovered that the three of you were lying and began chasing you around the Walgreens. You managed to escape without any of them noticing when suddenly a beautiful voice whispered in your ear, “where do you think you’re going?” You jumped. It was the blonde Sanderson sister! You recognized her as Sarah from all of your history lessons.
“Uhh…Nowhere?” You said. She looked at you with a face of disbelief. You sighed.
“Look, please, just… don’t…harm my friends, I just wanna go home.” You said honestly. She looked at you with a teasing look.
“I don't want your friends,” she said with a breathy tone, leaning in to whisper in your ear again “I want you.” She said, pulling back, smiling at you with a toothy grin.
“M-Me?” You gasped. “Why?” You questioned.
“You’re so beautiful why wouldn’t I want you?” She said like it was obvious. You blushed.
“Wow uhh..Okay then,” you said, grabbing her hand. “You can come with me back to my place.” She seemed elated at that answer.
“Oh we are going to have so so much fun!” she squealed, pulling you in for a kiss. You kissed back, the two of you entering a make-out session in the middle of the street. When you finally needed some air, you pulled back, smiling at her.
“Come on.” You said.
~The next morning~
You and Sarah spent the night together and falling absolutely in love with one another. At the end of the night, you ended up sleeping with each other, the two of you delighting in the bliss of being so close to someone so close to your heart. When you awoke the next day, she was gone. You got up sad and walked to Gilbert’s shop to start your shift. When you reached the door, it was unlocked. You shrugged and walked in to find Gilbert, Becca, Cassie, her boyfriend, and Izzy together standing there looking at you with expressions that read “What the actual fuck!” Confused, you shut the door behind you. “What?” You said, concerned that no one was speaking. Gilbert began to talk but Becca swiftly interrupted him.
“Could you explain why when we did a summoning spell to bring Sarah Sanderson to the woods she arrived NAKED WHILE HOLDING HER CLOTHES TO HERSELF!?” she yelled. Your eyes widened comically.
“I-I can explain I-” you stuttered, trying to think of a reasonable explanation when Gilbert began laughing, which prompted you to laugh as well. The girls looked horrified but you couldn't stop thinking of the beautiful blonde woman you spent the night with while crying laughing. You would never really forget her, even if you knew she was gone for good, your beautiful Sarah Sanderson.
Tumblr media
I Know How to Hex You
Modern!Sarah Sanderson x fem!reader
A/N: Ty for requesting this! So sorry it took me like fifty years to write it, I’ve been struggling to write a lot these past few months, I have a lot on my plate. I set this as if Sarah was born in the 20th century, so both her and the reader are around like the same age. Sorry if the insults are a bit much, I just felt like this request hit really close to home as I realized recently that a close friend of mine was just really mean and was always against me so this is a bit of a vent fic. Also if you can’t tell, I started watching SATC, so there are some references in the text lol. I hope you enjoy ! <3
Word Count: 1,250 words! (One of my longest yet!!)
Warnings: Angst that ends with fluff, Body shaming, cursing, drinking, kissing, horrible friends (never keep bad friends y’all! learnt that the hard way, ouch), usage of Y/N and unproofread text (let me know if I missed anything!)
It was that time of the year again. Halloween, your favorite holiday in the world. Only this year the warm, welcoming yet spooky feeling of the holiday wasn’t there. You were currently standing in the corner at a Halloween party hosted by your friend, Becca while nursing a cosmo. You see, you were initially excited to attend the party, that is until Becca began making degrading comments.
Earlier that night at your apartment.
“Okay!” With a bright smile you open your bathroom door, stepping out. You were dressed head to toe in a cute witch costume. The dress on you was black with deep blue details and you had on a pointy black witch hat, accompanied by red lipstick and dark eye makeup. “Sooo,” you twirled around, showing off your costume to your friend Becca, who was seated on your bed. “What do you think?”
She looked up from her phone with a bored expression and stared at you for a good five seconds before she chuckled dryly. “You’re not serious are you?” she says with a mocking tone as she stands up, pocketing her phone. Your expression drops.
“What do you mean?”
“Y/N…you can’t wear that! It is NOT flattering at all! I mean, what were you even thinking when you bought it?” She laughs and plucks the witch hat off your head. You look down at your costume. Was she right? Was the costume that you spent so much time shifting through thrift stores trying to put together really that horrible?
“Oh…” You respond, keeping your head down. You were hoping that Becca would get the hint and realize that she’d hurt you with her words, but she continued.
“I mean like be so fucking for real look at it,” she points to your figure in the floor length mirror across the room. In your reflection, you can see tears welling in your eyes, but Becca doesn’t seem to notice. “Already, you don’t even have a flattering body. These kinds of dresses are made for someone whose body is hot and sexy.” She says as her hands refer to her own body.
“I am hot and sexy,” you interject, trying to speak up for yourself as you always did when she’d get like this. She laughs loudly, the sound ringing in your ears, continuing on with her degradation before she gives up and looks at the time on her phone, stating that the two of you were going to be late for her party and that you had no time to change out of your “ugly ass dress” or change your “atrocious” makeup.
Present
Eventually, you leave the corner of Becca’s apartment, but only because you’ve now finished your cosmopolitan and need another if you’re going to get through tonight. Before you can enter the kitchen you hear your name pop up in a conversation that Becca is having with some friends of hers. “Ohhh my god do you see what Y/n’s wearing? It’s just awful,” she laughs out, wheezing in the process. “I mean she actually bought that and thought it was a good idea like who lied to her!?” You hear a few of her friends agree before you’ve had enough and step into the kitchen, grabbing a can of a random alcoholic beverage and step in front of Becca, who looks surprisingly shocked to see you. You shake the can aggressively before opening it right in front of her, spraying it all over her before she shouts in shock.
“Oops,” you slam the drink on her face and grab another can before you step out, grabbing your coat and bag from her crowded front entrance and leaving her apartment. You make it about two blocks before you break down crying in the middle of the sidewalk. Thankfully this part of Salem was deserted around that time of night, regardless of whether or not it was Halloween, meaning there was no one around to see you cry, or so you thought.
“Hello pretty,” you hear a voice say. You look up in shock, not expecting anyone to approach you. In front of you was the most beautiful woman you’d ever seen, sporting long blonde hair and a whimsical look in her eye. You sniffle before greeting her back. “What’s the matter?” She asks gently, staring deep into your eyes with a look of compassion, brushing hair away from your face.
“Oh…uh…just got into an argument with someone I considered as a sister,” you mumbled. ‘What is the matter with me?’ You thought to yourself. Why am I telling this beautiful stranger about my life? I just met her!’ Nonetheless, you disregarded your thoughts and continued to confide in the stranger, finding her presence comforting. Strangely she felt familiar, like…home.
“Oh?” She replies after listening to you rant your heart out. “I’m so sorry that happened to you, no one should treat such a beautiful creature such as yourself so horribly.” You felt flushed at her words, a sharp contrast to what you’d put up with with Becca. “You don’t believe me?” She says as she steps closer to you, crowding you against the pole of the streetlight behind you. Gingerly, you shake your head. “That’s okay,” she says, “I can prove it to you.”
“Y-you can?”
“Sure,” she smirks an award winning smirk, your breath hitches. “But only if you want me to,” her voice lowers, asking for your permission. You take a moment to look around, noticing that the street remains empty except the two of you. You nod and she laughs lightly, shaking her head. “What was that? I couldn’t hear you?”
“Yes, I want you to prove it to me.” With that she smiles, and leans in, pressing a light kiss to your lips, it lasts less than three seconds but still you feel the wind knock you off your feet. As she pulls away, you look at her with awe. She smiles and speaks again.
“I’m Sarah.”
“Y/N.”
She smiles again and tells you that she’s never heard a name so beautiful in her life. This time, you’re the one who initiates the kiss, which leads into a small but heated make out session against the pole, your lips moving fervently against each other, like you can’t live without it. But before you can get too carried away, you hear footsteps behind you. You pull apart and look up to see Becca.
“What the fuck! Who’s this? Is this why you made such a scene back there? So you can go make out with this…Bimbo!?” She yells out, both invalidating your feelings and insulting Sarah. Sarah looks at you and whispers in your ear.
“Is this the friend that treated you horribly?” You nod in confirmation. She smirks, “Watch this.” Suddenly she flicks her wrist and Becca is gone. You gasp in shock.
“You’re-you’re a-”
“Witch?” She laughs. “I know, fun isn’t it? Don’t worry I didn't do anything bad to her, she's just back at her apartment complex, where she won’t remember this encounter.” She says it like it’s no big deal and at that moment, you couldn’t find yourself to care about Becca anymore, instead you wrap your arms around Sarah’s neck, leaning in.
“So what…else can you do with your magic?” You bite your lip, keeping eye contact with her. She laughs and raises her eyebrows. Before you can blink you’re suddenly in your own apartment, your arms still around Sarah.
“Let’s find out shall we?”
