i literally cant do this rn. the way hori gave us an image of each core moment in bakugo's life makes it so much more worse. not to mention the fact his parents are watching the fight (if im correct its being broadcasted). ik some are saying hes charging up because of the correlation with the 2nd user but... 😶

Thank god someone else thinks this way! Almost everyone thinks he's a dom, which is fine, but I don't understand why it's as popular as it is. Idk, maybe it's just a difference of taste in characterization.

More 18+ below cut, kinda just me rambling and throwing out sexy/kinky headcanons.

I could see Sav being dominant, to a very small degree, anyway. Mostly because he seems like he has a breeding kink (you literally cannot convince me otherwise, with all that muscle, random growling, the fact that he would 110% want kids, and given the Nightsister/Nightbrother culture I wouldn't be surprised.) (Would be willing to do more stuff for him!)

Anyway-

Our favorite red Zabrak has internal and external pressures on him almost all the time, let him be a sub. That man needs to relax.

I also can't get the image of him getting pegged, and his horns being roughly handled at the same time, out of my head.

Whimpers when he's teased, might get a little demanding and start moving his hips on his own without permission.

Might tear apart your bed sheets on accident. (Or not on accident if he's being a brat)

Would not want a harsh dom. He's been through too much, and I know kink and trauma can be related to some degree, but I don't see that happening with him.

He'd want a soft dom to gently coo at him, and give him lots of kisses. Not in the degrading way, he genuinely wants to be given affection.

I don't think he'd have a mommy/daddy kink, but he definitely has a praise kink. You don't need to call him a good boy if you're not into that. You just need to tell him that what he's doing feels good.

At some point I started thinking about if Maul would enjoy/be okay with wearing a collar. I don't think he'd wear a strip of leather around his neck with an O-ring. However, he'd probably wear a dedicated piece of Dathomirian jewelry. Or if we're talking marriage-level commitment, he'd get his tattoos modified with something special. (I have a HC that Nightbrothers will get their tattoos changed when they begin to serve a Nightsister, anyhow.)

Sub!Maul getting teased outside of the bedroom would be so cute, and before you can take it too far, he follows you, giving you those puppy eyes, and you can't deny him the attention he wants.

A particular thought I've had in mind about Sub!Maul is about my Eldridge Horror!Reader x Maul AU. In the beginning of the story, Maul summons the reader, and they're drastically confused because he's clearly a male, and he's summoned them??? At first they assume he is an offering, complimenting his physique and power, their hands tracing his muscles and tattoos, circling him like prey. They're not even paying attention to his metal legs. Maul, however, doesn't reply to the compliments, but he really gets turned on likes being complimented by this larger-than-life entity.

This man has not been shown much kindness in the past, and craves it like a drug. From a traumatized child, a hurt teenager, to a lonely adult, his life hardly changed. Even if he'd rather die than admit that out loud.

(Interesting side note: I've been thinking of giving the reader a proper name, but something kinda meta and Lovecraftian/Sucker for Love inspired. So instead of you being referred to as merely "reader" or "y/n," you'd be called "Re'der." Similar to how characters such as Ln'eta have a name spelled/pronounced the way they are.)

I love it when the great Maul simps out there send stuff in. Thank you, and don't be afraid to send more down the line! :) (I might open actual requests or something, but I'm debating it-)

[Part 1] Hi Sav! What are ur thoughts on Kamiya's (Levi's VA) words regarding Levi? Here are two translations I found on twitter. Since you know Japanese I think you're the perfect person to ask this from ^^ " Today at Anime Japan Kamiya Hiroshi said, “Levi hasn’t changed. The loss of Erwin is so huge that afterwards his life in a sense is like ‘yosei’.” Yosei (余生) means like, the rest of one’s life (after raising kids or retiring) where you have nothing left to do"++

Disclaimer: Please I have no intention of starting a ship war with this, I just wanna drop my own interpretation for my own Levihan stanning heart. 

Note: I had no plans of watching the Japanese Seiyu panel for the last episode of Attack on Titan for many reasons and 90% of it is because Romi Paku didn’t show up and I’m still salty overall about how AOT and the narrative is treating Hange altogether and literally the only comfort I get about Hange this whole AOT season is that she looks great in all her scenes but anyway, enough about the rant. I’m still low key salty about not getting our Levihan reunion yet… But whatever. 

I got all of these asks in succession and soon after I did some research on twitter to see what all the fuss was about and apparently, a lot of Eruri fans are likening Levi to a widow--- A WIDOW of all things. 

And I dunno, I feel like this conclusion for one kinda cheapens Levi’s character altogether and just cheapens the bond of Levihan so I kinda realized I just cannot stand and watch some obviously Eruri-biased Japanese translations of that statement run rampant on twitter without my own take. 

So anyway, I’m gonna drop my own take on this, my own interpretation as a Levihan stan.

Disclaimer: I am in no way trying to push any Levihan agenda on anyone. If you like Eruri and you wanna stick to your widow interpretation feel free too. I just feel like a pro Levihan take, and a more ‘non Eruri’ take on that statement should exist as well so I’ll just drop this here for Levihan fans to seek comfort and possibly for any casual reader or Eruri fan to get some other perspectives on this statement I guess?

And if I were going to translate it word for word.

Okay these are obviously Eruri crumbs at first glance and I recognize why exactly Eruris would celebrate over something like this because if we had a Levihan thing like this too, I’ll probably be celebrating too

But Let me offer my own interpretation of this as a Levihan stan

Yes, I recognize that for Levi losing Erwin was a big thing, but I’d like to paint some of the terms in a positive light for Levi. And the main key terms above were ‘Yosei’ and “Levi dangling in space’

So I’ll be focusing on those two: 

余生 (Yosei)

余生 (Yosei) isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Yosei literally translates to ‘the remaining years of someone’s life” So it doesn't necessarily mean Levi’s a widow or Levi is lonely because Erwin’s not there anymore In fact, Yosei is used a lot from what I see, to mean, retirement years. So after you’re done with your job and you retire, your last few years playing golf, playing with grandchildren, those are your ‘yoseis’ 

And there are lots of takes I saw online to this Yosei thing 

There was a meta in Japanese I found  where they discussed the fact that Levi was approaching his twilight years. and the main reason he was facing ‘retirement’ wasn’t necessarily because Erwin was gone but because soon after Erwin died, the basement happened and it turned out there were enemies much stronger than titans out there. 

The ‘Yosei’ meant, Levi retired from his role as ‘humanity’s strongest soldier’ because Levi was the ‘strongest soldier’ against titans, not against humans, the rapidly changing world and technology. I mean if we actually are objective about this, we could see the most capable survey corps member for handling the new enemy which is Marley and the Hizuru and just all the other countries and the impending war, was Hange since she is the best at navigating politics and she would be the quickest to adapt to technology.  

So yes, if it’s obvious, I do not like the ‘Levi is a widow take’ AT ALL.

But I’m not gonna discount the role of Erwin in Levi’s life. I think it is actually very important to understand why Levi feels like ‘he’s dangling in space.’ 

We all remember that last scene from ACWNR after Isabel and Farlan died and I’m sure we can all connect those last words from Erwin all the way until Levid decides to follow him to the role implied above. 

Erwin was Levi’s compass. Erwin gave direction to Levi’s life and suddenly Erwin dies and at the same time the world opens up and Levi starts to realize he’s not as needed anymore and his role as humanity’s strongest is gone.

So obviously all those events at once would leave Levi in some sort of limbo right. And that’s why he gets this feeling that he has reached his ‘yosei’ years and he’s also dangling in some limbo

I can think of two more specific reasons he ends up ‘dangling.’ 

First reason is: Killing the beast titan, the last order Erwin gave Levi wasn’t so easy to do anymore given the political nuances, the environment and of course the fact that the world was already more complicated than killing titans. And to think that Levi makes a promise to do that right before Erwin died? 

So I’m thinking the ‘dangling’ refers to Levi grappling with such complexities and nuances while trying to fulfill a goal which would have been so much easier if the basement thing didn’t happen and the world didn’t open up. 

And my second reason is: 

Warning: Before I go to this, I wanna warn you that this is my Levihan stan self reaching for pro-Levihan interpretations so feel free to ignore this if you don’t want crazy Levihan delusional interpretations. 

Anyway, my second explanation which I like to play with and I like to keep close to me, being a Levihan fan is that Hange of all people, was the last veteran stuck to Levi and as we all know, according to Yams old interviews about Hange’s gender...

Hange’s a free soul. She’s like the balloon, the kite that just floats in space and just continues hanging, dangling and flying. And she’s the person who Levi ended up sticking to after Erwin’s death. And since he ended up with such a free sould, he didn’t necessarily find much direction again, the same way he found direction with Erwin. 

Hange didn’t give a straightforward direction for Levi. But Hange provided comfort. 

And I’d just like to introduce a pro-Levihan interpretation this. 

So maybe ‘dangling in space’ and leaving the remaining years of his life like that isn’t such a bad thing? I mean I like to interpret this ‘retirement’ and ‘dangling’ as Levi finally being free of whatever ‘Ackerbond’ or whatever compass or order Erwin has set for him. 

Because Hange went about her position as commander more as a parent to the cadets and more as a comrade to Levi than anything else. And with title of ‘humanity’s strongest soldier’ not so relevant anymore post season 3 with titans becoming a not so big threat compared to the impending war, I think the ‘yosei’ and the ‘dangling’ could be interpreted as freedom for Levi from his role as Erwin’s right hand man and freedom from the burden of being ‘humanity’s strongest.’

And the transition from having to report to Erwin to having to report to Hange, I think this can be interpreted as a breath of fresh air for Levi.

Yosei after all can be interpreted as freedom. When people retire, people are free right? They’re free to try out different things, they’re free to focus on other things. Even if people have to experience the pain of ‘loss’ when losing one position, the remnants of it, the ‘yosei’ isn’t inherently bad although it can be interpreted as that. 

And the crumbs for this? I always believed that Levi generally acted freer under Hange than under Erwin. And I feel like I have created metas about this before about Hange’s leadership style: here and here

Les acteurs principaux sont Daniel Wu, qu’on a pu voir dans “Tomb Raider” (2018), Yao Chen, qu’on a pu voir dans “Firestorm” (2013), Simon Yam, qu’on a pu voir dans “Wild City” (2015), Leon Dai, qu’on a pu voir dans “The Final Master” (2015), Ady An, qu’on a pu voir dans “Saving General Yang” (2013), et Shao Bing, qu’on a pu voir dans “The Lost Bladesman” (2011).

L’histoire proposée par “Control” nous invite à suivre Mark (Daniel Wu) un courtier en assurances. Une erreur de dossier l’oblige à faire un faux témoignage pour sa société et sans le savoir, il ouvre ainsi la boîte de pandore, se retrouvant être la cible d’un maître-chanteur. Ce dernier lui donne des directives précises à suivre en échange des enregistrements qui prouvent sa complicité dans l’affaire et qui l’impliquerait directement en raison de la fausse déposition qu’il a fait au tribunal. Mark se retrouve à braquer des personnes dans un restaurant puis à devoir récupérer un sac mystérieux dans les coffres privés d’une banque. Les choses se tendent lorsqu’il doit négocier avec ce qui semble être des truands…

La photographie proposée par Roman Jakobi est assez singulière. Kenneth Bi, scénariste et réalisateur ayant décidé d’installer son récit dans un monde futuriste. On retrouve quelques effets spéciaux pour marquer cette particularité. Les téléphones, les véhicules et quelques bâtiments affichent en effet un aspect qui nous laisse entendre que l’action se déroule dans un futur proche. Mais, honnêtement, il n’y avait pas réellement besoin de se compliquer la tâche, l’histoire proposée pouvant tout-à-fait se dérouler dans l’époque actuelle. Pour faire simple, le fait que l’action se déroule dans le futur n’apporte rien de particulier.

L’aspect dramatique est construit tout au long du développement. Bien que le récit apparaisse dans sa grande majorité comme linéaire, la grosse majorité de l’histoire est un flashback qui nous ramène progressivement au temps présent. Le principal protagoniste racontant les événements qui l’ont conduit à la situation actuelle. Néanmoins, on peut également voir dans des flashbacks, notamment dans la dernière partie, qui viennent expliquer des faits fondateurs lorsque certains personnages étaient enfants. En fin de compte, nous sommes confrontés à une simple histoire de vengeance.

Le suspense court durant les 90 minutes du métrage avec une conclusion qui se dévoile donc dans la dernière partie. Le récit est ponctué par des scènes d’action. On retrouve essentiellement des scènes de combat à mains nues et quelques fusillades. Daniel Wu est au centre de tout ceci, se présentant comme un homme ordinaire, dont on remarque cependant assez rapidement qu’il possède des aptitudes et des réflexes qui trahissent quelque peu sa réelle condition. Simon Yam est quelques peu caricatural dans l’expression de son personnage. Yao Chen dispose d’un rôle secondaire dans un personnage à multiple facette. Leon Dai incarne le personnage le plus intéressant, le plus ambigu, le plus fourbe et s’avère être le principal antagoniste de l’histoire.

En conclusion, “Control” est un bon thriller d’action disposant d’une histoire classique, d’une intrigue captivante et d’un développement énergique. Le rythme est plaisant et l’édition permet d’obtenir un métrage dynamique d’une durée de 90 minutes. Le récit est fluide et la narration est ponctuée de flashbacks. La photographie offre une vision futuriste de l’environnement direct des protagonistes de l’histoire. La distribution offre de bonnes prestations avec un focus sur le personnage incarné par Daniel Wu. L’ensemble est agréable et permet d’avoir un divertissement plaisant.

im sorry but aside from the other poorly written bits of the series, bakugo being revived has to be one of the shittest. this isnt in a way to knock hori's writing as whole, but its just so obvious when things are written and catered for fans and not for plot.

youre telling me that bakugo diet-died so that someone ELSE dies?? wtf was the point in the first place im losing my mind. even tho it was pretty predictable that theyd somehow find some stupid way to pull a, "wait guys hes alive!!!" its still so annoying to watch.

context: first pic best jeanist is checking his (bakugo) pulse and trying to help him. edgeshot comes to the scene and transforms into a fucking heart.

Is dabi a bad person in canon? Yeah. His list of crimes is super long but nobody can ignore that Endeavor literally caused that!!! His motivation for hurting people is because Endeavor was a shitty dad so in a way, he's responsible for those things too. Obviously Dabi committed the actual crimes and Endeavor didn't know but on some level, Endeavor does need to take accountability for that (imo). I don't agree with Dabi being even more villanized either. He's a victim and an abuser, but to throw him under the bus and try to redeem endeavor is just irresponsible and again, lacks proper nuance of what motivates villains. Ik that's the point but it's handled so fuckin poorly

it makes my ass itch upside down from the way that ppl dont want to acknowledge the fact that Dabi is the was he is BECAUSE OF ABUSE. not to mention, they downplay what hes been through because he wasnt physically touched.

he was neglected emotionally—and even attention wise too. any abuse is abuse. it was good that hori wrote it in, but now ppl just dont have a working braincell to fully develop and understand that concept. Dabi is a product of Endeavor's actions. why is it only when Shouto is injuring himself or getting hurt the only time ppl want to feel slight towards Endeavor? ohhh, its because his rebellion is more inflicted on himself quietly. he suffers in silence like his other siblings.

and one thing i notice ab Endeavor stans is that theyll say, "i dont support his actions 🗣" and then talk down on Dabi?! i mean, i dont blame them. if you have a face level understanding of media literacy, id nod my head and go along with every stories themes i read too. 🥴

Nah but hot take the writing for bnha is honestly significantly dropping in quality. Hawks being an endeavor enabler/stan, endeavor virtually getting NO actual consequences for his shit, Izuku basically becoming stagnant with actual development, Dabi being painted as villain so NO FORGIVENESS RAWR and basically the entire todofam sans Natsu and maybe shoto forgiving endeavor?? Nah. The fighting is honestly getting boring and Baku fakeout is lame as shit. Ffs honestly just end the series already

And as much as I still enjoy the characters and world and everything, I have so many problems with how the writing and narratives are executed- how strong women heroes are killed off but men don't, AFO is kinda a shitty "big bad" in my opinion. The anime still has a place in my heart for sure but goddamn the writing needs work.

Also the whole endeavor situation happened before the war arcs?? There was the whole dinner confrontation with natsuo and shoto??

Just because nothing can be done about it right now doesn't mean it couldn't have been handled better earlier. I think there could be maritime purpose in nothing being done about him being known as an abuser but I don't think it matters.

Endeavor is an abuser and it doesn't matter if he's "trying to be better" because his only motivation to be better is so that Shoto will like him

Do…do endeavor stans know negligence is a form of abuse? There’s physical, emotional, sexual, financial abuse, and negligence….which…is ALSO A FORM OF ABUSE. Like…just because Touya didn’t get physically or emotionally beat down DOES NOT mean he got out unscathed.

im pretty sure they do, they just dont care. its the only scapegoat to excuse the actions he takes it. dont even get me started on the way they totally ignore the other types of abuses you listed in this ask. i think ppl just wanna support bad characters so they can use it as a mask to indirectly support the things they do irl.

I mean…are we absolutely sure Endeavor never hit Touya? Just because we didn’t SEE it doesn’t mean it never happened at all. Emotional abuse is abuse too, but it’s harder to identify because it can’t be seen. Endeavor is trash, and Dabi deserves justice

Like fr this is why I like fanfics where Dabi is more nuanced than endeavor. I fully believe Dabi is aware of half the abusive behavior Endeavor has pulled, and would consciously try not to be his dad WHILE ALSO DOING IT ANYWAY AND NOT KNOWING HOW TO CATCH HIMSELF. I’ve seriously read fanfic - fucking FANFIC - more interesting than the bullshit take Hori is trying to pull with this stupid endeavor writing
