Specifically on both of my upper arms to cover scars because I hate how they dictate my life rn, *sigh* (plus I've always wanted tattoos so there's that too haha).

An evergreen tree on one arm and an ocean on the other, both in a flowing artsy style, and pulled together because both the tree and the ocean are made of the cosmos . . .

I was thinking about WOL outfits and what not, so here's a question:

And to elaborate on the difference between option 1 and option 2, a brief explanation of my interpretations under the cut:

Illusion magic only masks the true appearance of an item, bending the light aether around the item to make it look different to the naked eye. No physical properties of the armour changes. It maintains its original dimensions and weight. If your WOL was wearing full plate armour then glamoured it to something more revealing, if someone tried to stab an exposed area, their knife would stop on impact of the concealed armour.

Transformation magic will fully alter the physical appearance of the armour into the applied glamour. It will take on the shape and structure of the WOL's desired form, but the properties of the materials used will be maintained. The high grade metal of the armour will be altered to a state where it was like a woven thread. The item would provide the same degree of protection as the original where it physically exists in its glamoured state. If your WOL glamoured their plate armour into a the street wear top, their actual abdomen could be pierced by weapon. Because this is magic you could fudge the physics if you so choose or say there's a secondary spell involved; but I'd imagine that if the transformation was completely lossless, your glamoured item will weight the same amount as the un-glamoured version. (Otherwise it would be more like a transmutation which is a lossy conversion and not reversible. The WOL turned their new savage tier BIS armour into a hempen camise and lost 95% of the material in the process. When they dispel the glamour they have that hempen camise's amount of the original armour piece.)

That's my take on the two options! I don't know if either of them really contradict any canon in-game explanations to the glamour system tbh. It's been so long since I picked up the intro quest and the only time I remember glamours being used as a plot device it was in the ARR Hildebrand quest line (I think the very end or within the coliseum arc, either way I'm not doing all that just to check and see that it says nothing of note)

okay something ive been curious about is how people feel about their self harm scars. because mine are really important to me and I honestly feel love for them, and i enjoy when they are visible.

also this includes people who have any kind of permenant mark from self harm. and tbh if you have only self harmed in a way that leaves temporary marks then feel free to answer this too, or if you used to have some but now they aren't visible

Based on absolutely nothing but observation: Halsin got his scar first and then his tattoo. The little curves in the thorn whip design align with and parallel the way the scar is shaped, and since it's much more likely that the tattoo artist worked with the composition of the face and its preexisting markings than the bear slashed in the perfect shape, I like to think it was done on purpose, as a way to marry both sides of his face. A balance, if you will.

This is gonna sound so weird, but I don’t know if anyone else noticed this or not. Hopefully it would be a bit of fun speculation (or a fact finding mission of sorts):

I noticed during the coffee scene in 7x05 Tommy had a red mark on his arm. At first I thought maybe it was just where Tommy/Lou was resting his arm on the table. But then I noticed it again during the bachelor party scene, mainly when Eddie was handing Tommy his glass of orange juice. So it definitely looks like a scar.

Now I’m wondering is that a Tommy thing or does Lou actually have a scar on his arm.

oh I noticed that during the first kiss scene, I'm pretty sure it's a Lou thing that they kept in because it fits the character! it's a great long scar though

i already love love loooove tattoos and i like giving a shitton to aki when i draw him but its like. i dont feel like hed be the kind of guy to have full sleeves or anything yk? its hot to imagine but i dont think hed fully commit like that and hed end up getting just a few tattoos that have an important meaning to him.

like maybe he has the date of his familys death on his wrist? like either the very inside near his hand or along the side of his wrist. i feel like itd be in roman numerals. or maybe he gets his family name as a tattoo to honour them? he definitely has a tattoo for his family bc its meaningful to him

i also feel like he got matching tattoos w himeno when they were both drunk, something silly he kind of regretted at first but now he cherishes. like a silly frog or smthn.

he also definitely gets either your name tattooed or gets matchies with you like the last anon said, i feel like thatd be really cute! maybe he also gets your favourite flower tattooed, but thats just because of my Aki Flower Tattoo Agenda. like imagine him w a pretty floral piece on his shoulder blade .. itd be so pretty ……………

I totally agree that aki wouldn't get a ton of tattoos, but I brought it up because I imagined him with a shoulder tattoo... like the kind that goes from your shoulder down the arm or across the back... god

and I love the thought of him having a drunken tattoo of something silly, he gets shy whenever you bring it up or touch it (it's just so cute, and you love how he makes an embarrassed face whenever you notice it)
