#season 7 trope

OK, walk with me here:
So Buck and Eddie get married the night of the bachelor party as a joke but then the next morning they both have zero memory of it.
Jump to the season finale!
Buck and/or Eddie has to do something mundane but legally related (similar to how madney found out about their “tax fraud”) separately. They are confused the whole episode on why whatever they’re trying to do isn’t working and THEN at the very end of the episode one of them checks their mail and there’s a certified letter and they open it and it’s their marriage license and you just get an “oh shit” look and then fade to black.
DO YOU SEE THE VISION?

Okay.
So this might be an unpopular opinion (or maybe not), but as a bi woman, I would be fucking PISSED if Buck and Eddie ended up kissing or hooking up during the bachelor party.

Musing on Buddie becoming canon
I would love to see trope upon trope used in the lead up to Buddie becoming canon.
Obvious pining; unrequited but not really pining; lack of communication with each other (talking to everyone else except each other); dramatic declarations of feelings in life-or-death situation; hospital bedside love declaration; and then some good juicy misunderstandings and miscommunication leading to them not getting together right away but to a big dramatic screaming fight instead. Maybe it even gets a little bit physical (wrestling, not punching) before they finally kiss. And one runs away. And so it goes on into season 8… I really want Buddie to get together, but what I don’t want is it to be fast, or easy. I want the drama, the tension. I want to see Eddie struggle with accepting his queerness, and then coming out. I want to see Buck struggle with believing that Eddie could love him while wanting it desperately.
I want it to be drawn out and have us keen for more next season. No sweet and fluffy happily ever after too soon. That’s when shit gets boring.
Basically, I want all the tropes from all the Buddie fics that thousands of us have written to come true in canon. There is a reason they are so prevalent and so popular. Everyone loves them! And after 6 seasons, by gum we deserve them.
Pretty please with a cherry on top. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

If you're a native Spanish speaker, wanna take a stab at the telenovela in 7x03? (It's very hard to hear under the main audio.) You can hear, My love, my love? I think I hear, no me dejes (Don't leave me) in the mix.

I love that Ricardo, you know, has a bloody collar and smudge on his right brow, kind of like...you know:

Ahem.
It also, of course, calls to mind John's death in 4x03, but only in how Mary cradles him.

The rest is so-- [REDACTED]
And if you think Dean wasn't grieving in his prickly veneer of toughness, listen to his voice in that brief moment he thought Cas was back. His breathy little "Ca-as?" is sooo shaky.
Then, he and Bobby both grabbed onto him with the intention of getting him home (and working through what just happened, "Okay, one thing at a time.") It was so--
This is the same episode where Cas said he had no more nostalgia for Dean and threatened to snap him into bloody soup, and then Dean urged Death to kill Cas, and Cas looked somehow shocked, despite what he'd just threatened to do himself. They're so--
To say nothing of the look on Dean's face when the Leviathan says in clear words, "Cas is, hmm, gone. He's-- dead!"

Ok so I wrote a potential first scene for the very first episode of Season 7. It’s been on my mind for a while now and I needed to write it down.
I wrote it in script format because it just felt like the best way to tell it. My apologies if the formatting is terrible.
In my mind I pictured it being super vague who Eddie is coming home to at first. Like we, the audience, think it’s probably Marisol, we have no idea how much time has passed since the end of season 6. And then boom, plot twist. And after this scene the whole rest of the episode is just going back and seeing what happened during hiatus and how we got to this beginning scene:

looking through (relatively) older fanfics/fanart for hermitcraft out of both curiosity and to see if there was any hypno+xb stuff I haven’t seen already. for the most part it’s been intersting but I saw xb described as a “himbo” WHAT

Riverdale very pointedly saying Tabitha isn't dead in hopes of avoiding accusations of killing her and building everyone's happiness on top of her sacrifice all for the sake of having one (1) episode of polyamorous core four is as hilarious as it is predictable and frustrating. But like, hot take: if a character is removed from her life, won't see her family or friends again, and sacrifices the future and family she would have had with the man she loves, then she is, for all intents and purposes, dead.

I don't particularly want Buck/Eddie to kiss during the bachelor party either, but as someone who is also bi, it absolutely wouldn't play into the 'cheating bi' trope. If they were each to kiss someone who wasn't each other? Dodgy ground absolutely. But given that they're in love with each other and have been for years, its the opposite of that. Two people in love not being able to hold back anymore? Thats not a bi cheating trope.
It's not going to happen though.
I doubt it will happen, too. But that doesn't mean I'm not nervous.
Now, granted Buck wouldn't be kissing another woman while he's dating a man (which is usually how most cheating bi tropes go), the concept of Buck and Eddie kissing at the bachelor party would still be messed up because Buck is currently seeing Tommy. And we don't know how much time passed between their date at the cafe at the end of 7x05 and the bachelor party/the wedding, so they might have been going out for at least a few weeks at that point.
And Buck explicitly stated that he wanted to see where things went to Tommy, so him kissing Eddie at the bachelor party would in fact make him a "cheating bisexual."
And regardless if Buck and Eddie have been in love with each other for years and haven't realized it, they are BOTH in relationships and them kissing each other (sober or drunk) would be an absolute bad look, especially for Buck.
And even if they did kiss other people at the bachelor party who weren't each other, they're still cheating.
BUCK is still cheating.
TL;DR Buck and Eddie kissing would literally be an all male version of the bi cheating trope. And that's not a good thing.

If anyone asks me "why are they your otp?", all I can produce is incoherent rambling and chaotic hand gestures, because all I have in my head is:
older woman × younger man / powerful countess × just some guy who works as a barista / sarcastic ice queen who's been deeply hurt before × sunshine man who heals her wounded heart / a woman who believes she is unlovable and is destined to stay alone × a man who respects her, admires her, and loves her like it's breathing / from practically strangers with low opinion of each other to tentative allies to teaming up against her evil ex to friends to lovers / he protecc!! (this man's first instinct is to protect her heart and her reputation, always) / "he makes me feel important, valued, appreciated" / hand holding, so much hand holding, and tiny kisses, and soft glances, and tenderness, and smiles, and laughter, and light, and aaaargh...
...ya know?
P.S. She basically gave him an art lecture in front of Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper", and the boy was so impressed and so smitten that he couldn't shut up about it and kept telling his friends how awesome she is, and at this point they were still just friends, and I was like "YEP, I'M SOLD!!"

Back when I was like a stupid seven year old, I REALLY enjoyed Zane. Not saying I don't enjoy him now, he's still my beloved <3. I was made fun of and alienated because I was 'weird' and 'different' so when I saw THIS little man right on my screen on episode 2 getting flack by the other guys, I finally felt seen. I've never related to a character's social standing before, but Zane was definitely the closest thing ever.
Then the robot episode happened, and I kid you not, I started CRYING because the one person I relate to the most was a robot
