having to watch all these MCU fans act like they’ve picked up the Infamous Iron Man run and the What If…? Iron Man: Demon In An Armor issue to justify the RDJ casting as if they didn’t just put “Iron Man Doom” into Google and latch onto the first couple image results (without even trying to find a synopsis on these two VASTLY DIFFERENT STORIES, mind you) is truly exhausting

thinking about how one of the last things john ever tells dean is an admittance that the way he treated him was fucked. & of course this destroys dean and makes it so much harder for him to come to terms w his death right after and with his childhood in general bc he’s spent his entire life chasing after johns approval. he’s spent his entire life telling himself that the way he was treated was okay and justified and that their childhood was good because he could handle it and he was strong enough and that was how it had to be. he’s worshipped john as a hero and seen nothing wrong with any of it. because he’s had to. his entire life is built around this idea there’s nothing else. he’s his dads perfect soldier and punching bag and wife-replacement and suddenly his dads gone & he said he’s sorry and that he shouldn’t have treated dean that way. what the hell is he supposed to do now.

So Trey's lil fight with Jack in my guest room reminded me...
Chenya don't go sneaking into the guest room, I basically have the Heigh Ho version that Neige and the dwarves sang at the VDC playing on repeat alittle
Its my lil revenge to all the boys for fighting in the guest room so they'll have the song stuck in their heads

So I’m rewatching and catching up on Doctor Who for the first time in like 6ish years so I can watch the new specials and like my favorite will always be Tennant, he was My Doctor blah blah but you know what, this rewatch reminded me how much I love 12, mainly his season with Bill.
Capaldi is such a great Doctor. He’s not always nice but he’s always kind and he loves so hard. He’s so funny and I love how he loves playing guitar and he has sonic sunglasses bc he’s just trying to have a good time, he may not be a kooky bow tie guy anymore but he’s still silly. Him and Bill are like best buds and I wish we’d had another season with them and even Nardole bc their relationship was just fun, there was no pre-destined or weird importance placed on her, she was just a normal person who loved learning and was kind and had good vibes. The best of humanity, the kind of person the Doctor takes along bc they remind him that people are important. Bill brought out the best in him and also GAY🦭 anyways his last words are so beautiful and I miss him

I think one of the reasons conflicts arise in rpg discourse spheres, specifically in the context of story analysis and decision making, is there’s a group of gamers that choose the choices that they think are correct—correct, as in, morally right, or “best” for the character in terms of achieving the healthiest, happiest ending for that character. And that’s a fine way to play! I’m not knocking it. Players are 100% allowed to play that way and discuss why they think that choice leads to what they feel is the “best” outcome—best, again, as in typically rooted in morals, ideals, preferences, and all that. And then you have players who play the same way but make different choices. And when they meet it is inevitably the most inane degrees of discourse you will ever meet. Glorp shitto was wrong for betraying the fairy court levels discourse. and then you have players who make the choices that they think are most interesting—interesting for the overall story, or interesting for the character arcs, or simply enjoyable to watch play out. These could be their impulse choices that they’ve stuck with or choices they made consciously after exploring other options, but the point is that they’re not involving their conscience or attributing their real world, “what I think is right,” to the story. And when you play that way and someone hits you with the “actually it’s so wrong to make blimbo the king of the elves because he doesnt want to be king of the elves you’re so evil for that” it is so fucking weird for you, guy who was playing the adult game to explore the adult themes in their totality, not playing to be the nicest coolest bestest solution totally in line with what is “”””objectively”””” (objective used loosely here) the best result in accordance with the Best Morals. Now, once again, both of these are valid ways to play, but you need to know the place from which you’re playing and discussing from, because if you’re attributing some sort of real world judgement onto other gamers who don’t make the same choices you do, because you made your choice based on what you thought was most correct, you will find that conversation and analysis on the game are near impossible, because not everyone is playing that way. and ultimately, Understanding where you’re coming from allows for more successful conversation (if it’s a conversation) and more coherent analysis of the game itself.

tiny rant:
do you ever notice how like— conservative rhetoric kinda slides into those who consider themselves non-conservative? like okay i’m noticing a lot that while conservatives have mostly stopped with the colored hair disses, it’s now being picked up as a diss by non-conservative people being like “so and so leftists with colored hair and jacket pins don’t do this!” or some shit about people in public who basically present in ways that align with lgbt presentation and non-conservative ideologies. like the comparisons are so loud and weird and clearly you’re talking about the assumption that everyone with colored hair must be a liberal and want to change the world and they must in fact be gay and they should want to do things for you in the name of those expectations. your point crumbles instantly because you’re expecting something from someone based on the way they look and they (a stranger) are somehow not living up to your standards?? … how do you know they’re leftist/liberal/etc? how do you know they’re even gay? why the fuck are people copy pasting harmful rhetoric because they think it seals their talking points? you’re not cool for that and it’s also not original. to start slamming on who you believe are people that belong to certain groups because they present a certain way (to you) is extremely odd and strange. unless they have their identity and beliefs written on their forehead, maybe don’t do that. also if you think gay people are the only ones doing colored hair, oof do i have some news for you
