HELL YEAH SOMEWHERE ELSE I CAN INFODUMP ABOUT SUNSHINE!!!

OK so hi hello, I'll tag my related blog at the bottom since that's where I talk about her and what franchise she's in so anyone who's interested can check out the things I've got for her there

Starting off! Her full name is Sunshine Fairfield and she's a half-elf sorcerer-bard in the world of DnD podcast The Adventure Zone. She's an eighth bird, which for those who haven't listened to the podcast means that she's a part of a group of people who ended up in a sort of universe-hopping time loop for 100 years. They ended up separated in the last universe and year... 101 I think? Due to a choice one of them made that resulted in almost all of them losing memory of the century and each other. A few of them ended up leading normal lives, but some of them had complications with that. I could go super super in depth with this just because of how much I love the Adventure Zone, but for the sake of the character limit, that's essentially the long story short for how it all starts out.

I'm in the process of writing a whole story for her and I've almost finished the Crystal Kingdom arc, for those who know. What I haven't written, I've at least mapped out, though the Eleventh Hour arc is kind of an exception and so are some parts of Stolen Century.

As some basic information on Sunshine herself, like I mentioned she's a half-elf sorcerer-bard with emphasis on the bard part. At the time of the story starting, she's in about her thirties, and the life she ends up leading in their last universe is one of a traveling performer, using her magic to help with special effects.

If or when this gets posted, I'll reblog from @institute-of-planar-shitposts to kinda lay out what parts of the story I have written and talk about what I haven't yet. I'm always happy to answer questions about her, and my pinned has some links to things related to her that I have here on tumblr. bc ive convinced myself that fabian paints (like specifically realism) and/or plays the violin (rich kid shit)

fabian, riz and adaine have all started a mini bookclub where they each choose a book like every month to read (fabien usually chooses horrific romances, riz picks mysteries and adaine probably picks the widest range but sticks to (what would be for them) historical fiction)

gorgugs house is designated hang out place, digby and wilma dont mind them being there and its bigger than rizs apartment, less busy than mordrid manor and as much as fabians house is the biggest its less homey/cosy

kristen has started mandating 'mental check in nights' once a month, they play games, get takeaway and talk just to kinda check in yk (this mainly came around from all of them being absolutely terrible at telling/asking each other stuff whether mental health related or not)

One of my favorite parts of phase 2 (and indeed one of the few moments I resonated with IDW Prowl) was when the neutrals were coming back to Cybertron and Prowl said that he refused to let Autobots be pushed aside and overruled after they were the ones who fought for freedom for 4 million years (the exact wording escapes me atm).

And I mean, that resentment still holds true even once the colonists come on bc like. As much as it's true that Cybertron's culture is fucked up, and as funny as it can be to paint Cybertronians as a bunch of weirdos who consider trying to kill someone as a common greeting not important enough to hold a grudge over.... The colonists POV kind of pissed me off a lot of times, as did the narrative tone/implications that Cybertronians are forever warlike and doomed to die by their own hands bc it just strikes me as an extremely judgemental and unsympathetic way to deal with a huge group of people with massive war PTSD and political/social tensions that were rampant even before the war?

Like, imagine living in a society rife with bigotry and discrimination where you get locked into certain occupations and social strata based on how you were born. The political tension is so bad there's a string of assassinations of politicians and leaders. The whole planet erupts into an outright war that leads (even unintentionally) to famine and chemical/biological warfare that destroys your planet. Both sides of the war are so entrenched in their pre-war sides and resentment for each other that this war lasts 4 million years and you don't even have a home planet any more. Then your home planet gets restored and a bunch of sheltered fucks come home and go "ewww why are you so violent?? You're a bunch of freaks just go live in the wilderness so that our home can belong to The Pure People Who Weren't Stupid And Evil Enough To Be Trapped In War" and then a bunch of colonists from places that know nothing about your history go "lol you people are so weird?? 🤣🤣 I don't get why y'all are fighting can't you just like, stop??? Oh okay you people are just fucked up and evil and stupid then" ((their planets are based on colonialism where their Primes wiped out the native populations btw whereas the Autobots and OP in particular fought to save organics. But that never gets brought up as a point in their favor)) as if the damage of a lifetime of war and a society that was broken even before the war can just magically go away now that the war is over.

Prowl fucking sucks but he was basically the only person that pointed out the injustice of that.

And then from then on out most of the characters from other colonies like Caminus and wherever else are going "i fucking hate you and your conflicts" w/ people like literal-nobody Slide and various Camiens getting to just sit there lecturing Optimus about how Cybertronians are too violent for their own good and how their conflicts are stupid, with only brief sympathetic moments where the Cybertronians get to be recognized as their own ppl who deserve sympathy before going right back to being lambasted.

Like I literally struggled to enjoy the story at multiple points because there was only so much I could take of the characters I knew and loved being raked over coals constantly while barely getting to defend themselves or be defended by the narrative so like. It was just fucking depressing and a little infuriating to read exRID/OP

✨️Andy - The Twinkle Star✨️

▪︎ 15 years old

The spirited and mischievous boy we all remember as the youngest member of the Logan gang, always hold a special place in our hearts so I tried my hardest on his design. Before Logan adopted him, Sandara already saw him as family so it was no surprise that she embraced him as her son without hesitation (she ofc shed a tear the first time Andy accidentally called her "Ma"). As a teenager now, Andy has maintained his lively spirit eagerly absorbing the knowledge of monster hunting and striving to be a great big brother to his younger siblings.

Herena, the first biological daughter of Sandara and Logan, is a captivating blend of her parents' best features. Her spirited personality is a captivating fusion of bravery and pure clumsiness (if she ever takes a tumble in front of you, rest assured—she's quick to bounce back!), with a protective nature towards her family and friends, she spends a lot of time with her uncles Unsuur and Justice patrolling the town. She likes to mimic her older brother and dad as well as often show overprotective behaviors to little Yohan. Though self-conscious at times, her extroverted and loyal disposition shines through, making her a cherished member of the family and a promising young guardian for Sandrock.

💚Yohan - The Little Shadow💚

Yohan is the youngest of the family. Very reserved and shy, he finds solace in his own company, preferring the quiet pursuit of chasing insects and encounter with monsters and mutants to the boisterous play with other children he finds utterly boring and mean. In the depths of Yohan's pale green irises, mirror of his own mother's ones, a mysterious reflection flickers hinting a past story veiled in enigmatic shadows that cling to him. When he's not playing by himself or with other creatures, he's glued to his mom often seeking comfort in her arms as Sandara is the only one able to momentarily soothe whatever troubles his mind and sleep.

Here they are—my precious babies, finally in full render! I’ve had them in mind for over a year now, and I'm thrilled to say I’m finally fully satisfied with their designs. I've kept their names as a tribute to their late grandfather on Logan's side, Howlett, and their grandmother on Sandara’s side, Yisul.

As an EA player, these MTaS next-gen ocs feel like a breath of fresh air, keeping my Sandrock enthusiasm alive. I hope you will enjoy them as well and are ready to join them on new adventures !

ahh this blog has such a fun concept!! here’s my silly! there’s a lot to say about him so please excuse my ramblings XD

kento is a bnha oc i’ve recently revamped. he was originally created years ago and just.. wasn’t written or designed all that well, so i’ve fixed him up and have been using him more!

the short version of his story is that he was originally quirkless, and was offered the opportunity to obtain a quirk when he was about to graduate middle school. he ended up falling into the hands of a team of scientists experimenting with the transfer of quirks, and became a test subject.

for almost a year, he was trapped there, until the league of villains broke in to steal subjects for nomu creation. he escapes and is helped home with the assistance of pro heroes, and later decides to go to UA to become one and stop the quirk experimentation + protect those who were captured like him.

i’m always so nervous to show him to new audiences, since a lot of aspects about him could potentially be seen as cringe or just turn people away, but i’m trying my best to break out of that fear and share my son with more people ^^ he’s a super cool and chill guy i promise!!

it all started when jem recieved a concerning message from his mother in south carolina, so he and his girlfriend, dottie rode down to his rural hometown to see what the matter was. the next few days that followed, were a living hell. his family had been infected, transformed into something that wanted to kill him, and wouldn't stop until they succeeded. they ended up killing dottie, and after that jem had to take his family down. of course after that, and poorly timed, the government arrived. they took him out of the town, put him under the witness protection program, and moved him to a small town in massachusetts, called grim's hollow. he adjusted to it over time, and soon he was mowing lawns, shoveling snow, and essentially the town's unlicensed handyman. but he can never catch a break, can he? only a few years after he moved into the town, it turned dark. it had just as soon turned into a place ravaged by monsters of all kinds, that of which he had face to face contact with, and apparently on the verge of some territorial war. that he wants no parts in.

if you didn't guess it, jem is based on ethan winters from the resident evil franchise. he's genuinely one of my favorite ocs, and probably the reason why i got into resident evil in the first place.

he has the same regenerative mold powers as ethan does in the games!

jem really, really wanted a family with dottie, and kind of hoped to even find someone of the same magnitude after her death, but obviously life has it out for him

mans has pulled a fast and furious running from werewolves, fought off 7ft+ vampires (then got kidnapped by said vampires), survived russian roulette, only to get kidnapped by a secret government organization
