haha finally debuting my magical girl marvels au! i was thinking of a manga cover while making this; i really wanted it to have a kinda hyperpop and sailor moon style.

So! In my version of this AU, the Marvels travel through different dimensions to fight the forces of evil to balance the multiversal scale! They do this, via train! The train is usually a subway, but it magically adapts to the dimensions they are in. (Ex. Submarine Looking Train for a mainly water dimension, an old style train for a dimension with a earlier timeline.)

Billy Batson is a Train Conductor! I based his outfit on those train conductor uniforms and I really like it. His main base powers are, of course, lighting, and the ability to make portals! He uses the portals in his fighting style, dodging with portals instead of blocking attacks. Billy can only teleport to a mirror dimension without the aid of the train, so he actually teleports to the mirror dimension in fights when he dodges, then portals back to the og dimension. The train boosts his powers so his ability to travel to the mirror dimension is enhanced, and he can travel to other dimensions when using the train. (Other then that, its a basic portal power lol)

Mary’s design was inspired by fairy tale princes, which is actually really random but I made it work. I wanted the three of them to be different genres of magical girls, but still fit look like they are in the same style. Her base powers in this AU is basically charisma (yes, literal charms), and lightning. So, her charisma powers are pretty much just that people will be more inclined to do things her way; she lets off an aura of power + confidence that no one can say no to (besides Billy and Freddy, they are immune). She also will look extremely intimidating to people when she wants to. So in a nutshell, her power is to change the way people perceive her, and use that to her advantage. Mary often uses this to do undercover work, or info gathering about the dimension they are in.

Freddy, is a mermaid based magical girl. He can shift between having a mermaid tail and his legs. His base powers are hydrokinesis (ability to control water) and (can you guess it?) lightning! Though not shown here, Freddy actually uses water to float himself around. The water is thinly covered over his body and he uses that to get around without his crutches. He learned how to do this after seeing how he can float in the water when swimming. Freddy doesn’t do this all the time because it requires a lot of control and it can tire himself out. He used to do it all the time, but once in a battle, he shifted all his focus into the fight and lost control of the water that makes him float. Freddy learnt to not completely rely on his powers all the time after that. I’ll go more into this specific event later bc I think this scenario would really impact how Freddy sees his disability, and how he learns to accept it. I imagine this Freddy is more recently disabled and that he still has bitter feelings about it. The thing with Freddy’s dad in the boat still happened (they got attacked by one of Billy’s enemies), and that’s when he got his leg injury. He met Billy that way and got his powers. (Basically just how CM3 got his powers.. idk why im explaining it)

The thing is that I, myself, am not disabled so I need a bit of help understanding what that would be like to accurately write Freddy’s struggles with his disability. 😭

Another thing is that I’m not sure what their hero names would be? I tried doing those precure names like ‘Cure Marvel!’ but that would only work for one of them and I would still need names. Marvel *insert something here* or *something* Marvel is an idea but I wouldn’t know what to put.

VAGGIE REDESIGN! And I changed her name also bc I'm jus like everyone else fr. Meet Verbena :)

Starting with her name this time. Back when she was still a sinner apparently she was Salvadorian and since she's (apparently?) not a former human at all I decided to take a small creative liberty with her decent and made her Venezualan instead. SOUTH AMERICUH❗❗✊🏾 I'm pretty sure Verbena flowers are native to South America so that's where the name comes from.

Onto the design! I don't have much to say abt her design honestly. It's not egregious, but it doesn't really speak to me either. It looks like simple formal wear or uniform with some strange meaningless accessories attached. And those weird itty bitty shoes that look like they're part of her thigh highs... I'm starting to think all the characters's shoes were a last minute afterthought. All and all it tells us nothing about her character. The hair wings are cool tho so I did steal those

Also the whole deal with her eye is strange to me. Why Is the floating X there??? It's a real physical part of the world, other people can see it. Do pink X's always float over angel wounds? If her arm got chopped off would an X float over it? Was it like. A fucking curse visual placed by Lute as a constant reminder of her disloyalty? Why did Carmilla point out it was an obvious marker for her being an angel???? My brain can't fathom why it's canonically attached to her wound. If she was a sinner I'd kinda understand but. Yeah idk. Weird

Also her missing eye does not look like an empty socket it looks like a purple circle was sticker pasted on to her face. It's very flat. How did we go from this

Anyway. I made her hair resemble Polyphemus moth wings because 1. They have eye looking spots and angels are all eyes and 2. Well. Polyphemus has 1 eye. So . 💀

Her overall coloring however is inspired by a Promethea moth. I could say it's because Prometheus defied the gods and Verbena did a similar thing but the real reason is I made a spelling error while initially looking for a Polyphemus moth reference 💀 but hey they both have eye spots! And Iike their coloring for her way better

I also redesigned the exorcist uniform for her redesign bc I wanted her outfit to have reminiscent elements from it.

I gave way less time to the uniform designs, but I still had some main details I wanted to adress. I don't like how they have no armor save for their helmets. Their arm and leg pieces are made of some flexible material that tears easily. It's not giving soldier it's giving soldier costume from party city. The devil like horns are also confusing to see on an angel and the paradoxical design is never addressed. They can be evil and look imposing, but the horns just seem kinda nonsensically on the nose to show how evil they are. At least to me.

In my designs I gave them actual metal armor on their bodies so you can easily tell they're soldiers and it makes sense for them to battle in armor anyway. I also gave them more light "angelic" colors with gold details bc I wanna use gold as a symbol of angelic nature in my rewrite. I wanted their masks to show completely static expressions with wide grins to show how unnerving they are and to allude to the idea that everyone is happy in heaven, and they're all happy to do what they do.

Verbena's belt and shoulder pads draw visual similarities to the pauldrons and mid section pieces in my new exorcist uniforms to draw a connection between her and her past. The Blazer draping behind her back is also supposed to mimic the visual of folded wings. I also tried to do this with all the gold details in her design. The big hoops and belt we're 80's inspired because I decided to follow how in one of her old designs she died in the 60's (even had the big hoops and everything). In my rewrite exorcists are all former humans but I'll get into that later. Also she's got an eye patch now! Just. A normal one.

Charlie is still taller than Verbena just like in the original and idk how tall Vaggie Is exactly but Verbena is like 5'5 while Charlie is 5'11. Verbena's also got more muscle on her bc unless their muscle mass is hidden magically or they don't gain muscle for stupid dumb idiot lore reasons all the exorcists look way too slim to be military grade soldiers but what do I know

I combined a lot of pointy shapes with boxy shapes bc— more similarly to her pilot self— she can be volatile and fierce but also grounded and impassive. I added the slits to her skirt so she can be a sexy formal lady who can still comfortably throw a few kicks, and the heels— well. Idk I feel like she could slay in heels! She definitely doesn't wear em all the time but yeah. Chunky heels. I like them they're cute. Also she's got her little name tag on bc she takes Charlie's job for her SERIOUSLY! she's uh. Idk what is she. A bellhop? General security/protection? Either way she's locked in.

I imagine she had white irises like Adam and Lute along with brighter more saturated and heavenly colors in her hair (color picked from the Polyphemus moth) that turned darker and more harsh after the fall (color picked from the Promethea moth). Really visualizing her emo phase /j

Also I think the little eyes in her hair can emote with her. In the final design the line kinda makes an eyelid and it'd match her eyelid's movements. Sillay

"This guy's a riot," Steve laughs, poking a finger through Eddie's shoulder and making him jump in place. "Bobbie, can we keep him?"

"I'm right fucking here," Eddie glares at the both of them, which is just prime material to get them snickering. "Whatever, did it work or not?"

And with that, the laughs cut off.

Robin remembers.

"Hey," The ghost of Steve floats over to her, sitting down beside her on the grass. "It's okay -"

"It didn't -" Robin chokes out, avoiding Eddie's eye, staring down at the dirt that she's plucked bare of green. "It didn't. They couldn't see."

The air is silent.

"Probably for the best," comes a sigh and Robin feels rage boil through her blood.

"What the hell?" She glares up at Eddie, who holds his hand up in surrender.

"Look, I know you're both desperate to get your little 'Party' up to speed but like...I mean, just look at him." Eddie waves to all of Steve's ghost, who looks more and more affronted with every word Eddie says. "Do you really think it's a good idea for actual children who watched him die to see him again in the exact same get-up? With the same wounds?"

Robin pauses but Steve just glares harder. "Oh sorry, I didn't know I was supposed to go shopping at Ghosts-R-Us and pick a whole new outfit! What, you think I want to be stuck in this uniform? In the shorts?"

Eddie's face goes red and Robin distantly thinks 'serves you right' as the echo of "watched him die" cycles through her brain. "Well I - I don't know, you're a fucking ghost, you should have ghostly powers or something!"

"Have you ever met a ghost before?!"

"Have you?"

"Stop," Robin chokes out and she immediately gets the chills as Steve waves a hand through her shoulder. "Just stop."

She can't feel him, because he's gone. He's gone. He's gone -

"I'm right here, Rob," Steve's voice murmurs to her and she sobs. "I'm always with you, promise."

"I'm so sorry," she cries, burying her face in her hands and curling up, grief pulling down at her heart. "I'm so sorry, Steve -"

"Shh, it's okay, birdie," he says and she almost feels the warmth he should have. "It's not your fault, it's okay."

"I thought - I just - if we tell everyone, maybe they'll know what - how to - I'm sorry -"

"Wasn't your fault, Bucks," Eddie says gruffly, sitting down next to her roughly. "Just what happens sometimes. That kinda shit...'s out of our control."

She sniffles, burying her hand deeper into her own skin, hoping it'll suffocate the tears out of her, or maybe make her pass out so she doesn't have to think about all of it for a bit, or scratch away the endless void of pain inside her chest -

"Birdie, hey, look at me."

She doesn't.

"Robin."

She can't.

"Please?"

With another choked out sob, she looks up to see Steve Harrington, smiling at her like he never left. Like she didn't leave him.

"No matter what happened, or what happens," he says softly, nearly see-through fingers trying to brush her hair out of her face. Maybe she should get bangs. "I'm always with you, Robs. Not even until death do us part. Platonic soulmates for the rest of time."

She wails and shoves her face into his shoulder, not even caring if she passes through him. A hand pats her back, probably Eddie's, and she sobs louder because why did he get to see Steve? Why did she force him to know? Why couldn't they just be happy?

"Woah, how the hell -"

Robin blinks.

She's sobbing into Steve's shoulder. He's patting her back.

She quickly moves back and stares, Steve's own surprised face staring back, no bruises or scars or Scoops uniform in sight.

"What -"

And in a snap, his face turns back to battered and the warm red sweater he was wearing just a second ago turns back into the bright blue sailor shirt. His hair loses its fluff and goes back to that sad, wiry, bloodied mop.

He changed.

"So you do have ghost powers!" Eddie says triumphantly, as Steve sputters.

"I guess?!" He looks down at his hands, reaching out to touch Robin's fingers, but all she feels is the cold. "How did - why did it stop?"

With one last sniffle, she cups the air around his fingers and looks up at the both of them, her Steve and their spontaneously adopted Eddie (in retrospect, maybe they are weirdo magnets? Better think about that later). She says, with as much determination as she can muster, "This isn't over. We're getting you back."

Why Cassandra's Moonstone Armor Sucks

*cracks knuckles and dusts off keyboard*

It's time to finally rip this armor to shreds...figuratively because it's indestructible XD

And big shoutout to @whosbex @archivedwoods @th3p0rtalmaker @the-reverse-mermaid @aziraphalesbookkeeper and @majorabbey who all wanted to see this. I thank you all so much for your patience 🥰

Don't get me wrong there are some elements of this that absolutely work. The blue and black is a wonderful color scheme, especially that blue swirl that goes down and around Cass's body. And the spikes on the shoulders, forearms, and calves looks super cool and gives off a more black rock feel and a very intimidating silhouette. But...that's about all it does right.

1- It doesn't fit Cassandra's sense of style at all

In all the outfits we can see Cass wear throughout the show, we can very easily get a sense of exactly what her style is. It’s very clear that she dresses conservatively. And especially in armor she values practicality above all else. Her clothing has to serve its respective purpose. And up until season 3 the only revealing thing she wears is her island outfit and even then that’s pretty modest. And the moonstone armor comes along and completely disregards her established sense of style.

2- It undermines the moonstone's capabilities

We get it very explicitly confirmed that the Moonstone made the Dark Kingdom, and made Cass's tower as well. We see the amount of detail it puts into buildings. Even the rocks, the most simple thing it can make, are magically complex enough to know to seek out the Sundrop. And you're telling me that this thing can't make better armor than that?? Nuh uh, no way. I don't buy it. There’s absolutely no reason for the moonstone to provide a skin tight catsuit with a few spikes when we know its power can be much more sturdy and intimidating.

3- It's Chris Sonneburg's fantasies showing through

Those of you who have been in this fandom know the crush that Chris, the director, has on Cass. She's supposedly based on his college crush or something, and from day one he always wanted Cass to be the villain and plan to betray Rapunzel even as far back as the very beginning of the show. And of course, don't you want to see your crush in something hot? Therefore, I'm certain that the retaining of the catsuit was his idea. Because if you look at the moonstone concept art you can see more and more the visual leaning into a catsuit rather than actual armor

4- It's not at all practical or historically accurate

For reference, THIS is what armor has typically looked like throughout history

And even in works of fantasy you still have some version or variant of armor like this. Throughout the middle ages you can see just how tanky armor used to be. But as you can see, the moonstone armor looks nothing like that. It doesn't at all look like it could realistically defend a person.

Granted Cass's guard uniform is also kinda form fitting like the moonstone armor, but there’s still protective elements of it. The helmet, the breastplate. You could still believe that that is practical armor. Despite it being indestructible, the moonstone….is not at all practical armor. It doesn't look like it belongs in history or even fantasy. It is so obviously modern it’s almost painful.

5- It makes her disappear.

This is actually something that @moltenhair pointed out a while back that I never realized. There's too much black in there. A lot of the time we see Moonssandra at night and because there's so much black on her armor it makes her fade into the background to the point where she looks like a floating head and hand because the blue is all that really catches your eye about the design. Granted one can make the argument that this could have been done on purpose because taking and using the moonstone isn't actually giving Cass the spotlight she thinks it is but...eh...it's a loose argument.

one of you, I don’t remember who but if it was you then here you go, mentioned Ellie befriending Ace. it took me a minute to realise that you probably meant the psychic little girl and not the pirate, but… now that I think about it, that’s actually a really good idea.

first off, I’m going to start by saying that I barely remember anything about Ace except hat she was super psychic, scared the Joker shitless once (good for her), and I think ended up dying as a result of her powers overloading her brain. I also remember Batman stayed with her until she died, but past that, nothing! so if my interpretation of her is off, well, that ain’t Via’s problem.

picture this: Ellie, approximately 14 in physical terms, only been alive for like a year or two. it’s post-Portal Incident II: The Reckoning, so her body is stabilized but her powers are going bat-crazy. she’s alone in an unfamiliar city with far too many restless spirits, being chased by actual supervillains, and she’s scared. maybe she ducks into an alley or hides in an abandoned building, and maybe one of those spirits was watching.

it’s been a long time since anything has caught Ace’s attention in the mortal realm. she likes to check in from time to time, see what’s happening as the world moves on without her, but it’s useless to linger over what she can’t affect. in the end, it only ever makes her miserable.

but sometimes, she can’t help but watch. sometimes, like today, she sees another little girl in trouble. she thinks, ‘she’s like me’, and she needs to know that this girl makes it through the night. even if she doesn’t, Ace still has enough power in death to show her a good dream before another ghost is added to Gotham’s countless number of lost souls. she follows the girl into the building, watches as she curls up in the corner, out of sight and barely there.

and then she looks straight at Ace.

“Did you want something?” Ellie asks, and she doesn’t break eye contact with the spirit floating in the doorway, even as her eyes go wide. “If you have unfinished business, I might be able to help, y’know, so long as you’re not trying to cause trouble.”

“You can see me.”

“Sure can. Kinda hard not to, your outfit’s pretty distinct.”

It’s the outfit she died in. Ace doesn’t really want to wear it anymore, not when she’s so far removed from that era of her life, but it isn’t like she knows how to.

“So,” Ellie says, “what’s your deal? Are you just here to watch it are you picking a fight? ‘Cause I’ll warn you, I don’t know how to play poker and everyone else so far has refused to reach me.”

Ace blinks. “I’m not here to fight with you.”

“Okay, cool. Are you… here to fight someone else?”

“No. I was watching you.”

“Well, that’s a bit unsettling.”

“You were alone, and you looked cold. I had to make sure you weren’t going to die in here.”

“Again?” Mutters Ellie, and Ace’s expression snaps from intrigued to guarded in less than a second.

“What does that mean?” She asks, glaring right at Ellie, and the other girl grimaces.

“Did not mean to say that one out loud. Okay, so hi, I’m Ellie, and basically I’m dead—”

“What? No, you’re not. I would be able to tell if you were dead.”

“Half-dead, then. I was a clone OFA guy who was half human and half ghost, ‘cept I was falling apart, so I decided to fix it by doing the same thing he did to become half-ghost, and I ended up standing inside a portal to the Ghost Zone while it was opening. Make sense so far?”

Ace’s jaw is dropping, but she can’t seem to find it in herself to care. “Half-dead.”

“Oh, we’re still stuck on that, then. Basically, if you— actually never mind, I don’t really know how it works. I can turn from ghost to human, if that helps.”

“How?” Ace whispers. “You said you were… falling apart. And a clone. And half-dead.”

“Well, now I’ve got two out of those three, since I fixed the first problem. Do you want to maybe sit down or something? This is gonna be a long story if you want the whole thing.”

Yes, she absolutely does. Ace float across the room and settles in next to Ellie, folding her knees up to copy the other girl’s pose. “My name is Ace.”

“Nice to meet you, Ace. I’m Ellie. Wait, I think I said that already.”

Somewhere on the other side of Crime Alley, unknowing of the two girls hidden away in a long-forgotten corner, Edward Nygma slams his head down on the desk as he once again fails to pinpoint the location of the mysterious white-haired girl.

Dummy:

appears as the tutorial dummy in the Ruins - Asgore encourages Chara to talk to them, but no matter what action the human takes, the Dummy will take offence and leave the room after snapping at them. Asgore then takes the opportunity to tell Chara that even if a monster is rude, showing mercy is still important.

Bored Dummy:

appears as a boss in Waterfall - Mad Dummy told them to get revenge for how they were treated by Chara, but Bored Dummy doesn't really care about fighting and only does so to make their cousin happy.

at the end of their battle with Chara, Happstablook notices the commotion and makes a dramatic entrance with a glitter bomb, inadvertently spooking his cousin out of their body.

Mad Dummy:

offscreen, Alphys asks if they'll model a Mew Mew Kissy Cutie cosplay she'd been working on, as she can't find her usual training dummy to ask. after agreeing and trying on the outfit, Mad Dummy has a Mad Mew Mew-esque identity revelation, and continues wearing the cosplay for the rest of the "game".

if Chara speaks to her in the overworld, she mentions she's considering renaming herself Maddy.

???:

briefly reappears as Bored Dummy again with Maddy after Alphys' hangout event, but soon afterward decides to leave that body behind for good.

after the barrier is broken, Chara can find the uninhabited dummy body in Waterfall, and a barely-visible ghost floating near the snails at Blook Acres.

Maddy the Dummy:

loving life as an adorable mannequin model and one of Napstabot's singers. she frequently changes her look with different wigs and clothes, and has a preference for pinks and pastels, frills, and occasional edgier styles.

still very much the loud, energetic and quick-to-anger type, easily switching from cutesy charm to yelling at someone annoying, and retains her habit of repeating words/phrases three times.

doesn't become Mew Mew like her UT counterpart, but she does have a big soft spot for the Mew Mew Kissy Cutie series, though she prefers Mew Mew 2. she and Alphys have had multiple Undernet arguments about this.

has both friends and knives now!!

Pom Pom:

still lacking a body on the surface, Chara offered to knit them a custom body of their own. they liked the idea of being an animal-like monster, as well as an apple theme based on their favourite saying (that being their UT counterpart's check description). once the body was complete, they soon became corporeal and took on the new name Pom Pom.

they're shy, quiet, easily startled, and especially prone to boredom. they have little tolerance for aimless shenanigans, and will either leave a situation they dislike or just ragdoll on the floor and sleep. they stand like they're about to fall over at all times.

their new body kept some familiar features from their previous, including a cotton heart and button eyes. the heart functions similarly to Napstabot's heart-shaped core.

ghost ages are pretty vague, but they're an adult and the youngest of the ghost cousins.

I've talked about Maddy a couple times in the past, but to reiterate: like Happstablook I want to handle her character with as much respect towards her UT counterpart's story as I can, given that her role swap predates Mad Mew Mew's reveal. had I not designed and gotten attached to my Napstabot in early 2018, just months before UT's Switch port, maybe I would've swapped Mettaton and Mew Mew instead, but it is what it is. think of her as Mew Mew and Glad Dummy combined 💖

as for Pom Pom, with how little canon info there is on Ruins Dummy I just went all-in on what few details I had to work with. admittedly the apple theme is a total stretch from the "apple of my eye" part of their check description, but I liked it too much to not go with it! and them being an animal-like humanoid is to match Mew Mew being a catgirl, so I thought a deer suited their personality.

also, the reason their body was knitted by Chara specifically is I love the headcanon that ghosts can hear the narrator (based on Napstablook responding to their own check description), so after applying it to Swap MH I thought it'd be cute if Chara and Frisk have a close bond with the ghost family post-pacifist :'>

anyway I'm aware that they're pretty much just an OC-ified version of a canon character at this point, but like. people have been doing that with the humans, Gaster, Dess and AU Sanses for years. I am allowed one (1) Basically A Fan Character version of an existing character, as a treat

A stream is starting with Leo hosting, his starting soon screen is him snoozing whole laying on a pool float in the water, with some turtle shaped toys floating around him.

The scene switches over to Leo's model dressed in a royal blue yukata with scattered white rabbits, his bandana in an fancy bow with a 'hair ornament' that has the Hamato clan symbol hanging down, black tabi, and blue zori. His model is sitting in the same background of a traditional Japanese home with the shrine to Gram Gram, that Donnie used. River and Shelldon are seen sleeping in the shrine room.

Lots of cheering in the chat, and appreciation for the outfit.

"Hey guys! Sorry for not posting anything in 2 weeks. I think Dee already covered were we went, and some stories, but I can fill you guys in on things they may have not mentioned." Leo smiles, and grabs a tablet to read off some Notes, and questions.

"Okay first off, 'Why didn't we post anything on our Socials?'... do you take us for fools? We're very aware of the fact people would try to track us down based on what we post, I've heard of other content creators who heard from fans 'Hey based on that photo you just posted you're 15 minutes from me! LOL!' Really... Why?" Leo has a disappointed look as he says this. "It would be more weird with an UwU, or OwO, but hey some people are different."

"Second, 'Why didn't you mention a family emergency, or vacation?' We didn't want to accidentally mention where we were headed, but we also kinda forgot to post anything, and didn't think it counted as an emergency." Leo pauses and looks to the side while thinking over the 'drama' that happened, he says some quietly but it's still picked up by the mic, "Pretty sure some random Aunt throwing a fit over her son not wanting to follow a long dead tradition doesn't even count as a family emergency anyway."

Those is chat who heard and understood what he said are spamming for clarification.

"Third, 'Did you have any problems during your trip?' Well, yeah. Red is pretty big, and he had to duck down and squeeze through places alot when we went just about anywhere." Leo brings up a chibi cartoon of Raph deside a door much shorter and thinner than him, and Chibi Raph trying to squeeze through, "I don't know how much Dee went over, but Red was very sad he couldn't fit into some places, and couldn't go on alot of rides. We made up for it by going to some really awesome outdoor locations. We even found some local Wrestling league that were very excited to have Red join them for a couple short notice events."

Leo grabs his drink, and shifts his position. He takes a drink as he looks at the next question, chokes, and starts coughing.

For the next minute chat is asking what's wrong, is he okay, and asking if they should message one of the others.

Leo gets his breathing under control, takes a couple deep breaths, turns his head to the side, and "WHY DID YOU IMPLY I WAS ASKING FOR HIS HAND IN MARRIAGE!?!?!?!" He yelled at the audience could only assume is Dee.

Faintly you could hear "I didn't~ They just assumed~"

Leo still annoyed continued, "ugh, 'Did you ask your boyfriend's family if they will let you marry him?' No, we haven't been together, what we think, is a long enough time to get married. Plus my Samurai hasn't even asked Pops yet... I think." Leo's model now has a look of suspicion, and he thinks it over.

Chat is going nuts with Rabbit, Turtle, and Blue Heart emojis. And some ring emoji being snuck in, and hidden.

He shakes off the idea, reads over the next few questions or notes. " 'Who are the other turtles in the opening screen?' Those are two cousins of ours Cass and CJ, they live nearby and also have their own space here. Though CJ is currently planning to travel the country and further, so He isn't going to show up very much. They didn't really ask to be turtles, we just figured Cass is a common Snapper, and CJ is a Map, and Mandarin drew it up for us. 'And is the other Girl, April?' Yeah, she has changed up her personal style, but we draw her how she looked in years ago with some changes. She has some ideas for her full online persona. Her current picture is just a placeholder."

Leo scrolls through the list with little nope, no, too personal, and why did they bother? After a minute or so he just puts the tablet down with a sigh.

"Well, I don't want to go over any more questions, so let's start a poll on what we do next. Everyone ready here's your choices!!"

The stream continues with Leo playing a couple small games, and alot of small talk, and avoiding questions.

Thinking of writing a Rain Code Peggy Sue/Swap AU. As in, at the end of the final Labyrinth, something happens that resets the timeline to the beginning of Chapter 0 as well as swaps everyone’s roles, and Yuma and Shinigami are the only ones who remember the original timeline.

A few fun ideas for this:

Shinigami

“Human” name is Shini Requiem (as borrowed from another trainee detective that’s never mentioned in the true story, so the real Yuma never appears here)

The other detectives just assume the reason why she’s… like that is because the supposed amnesia just made her weird

Still doesn’t stop her from being fairly competent at times, though, so they don’t really complain (if only they knew 60% of her competence is just advice given to her by a reluctant death god…)

REALLY having a bad time figuring out how to do human things like eating, and sleeping, and breathing

As a result has absolutely no internal clock, either staying awake when she wants to fall asleep or falling asleep when she needs to stay awake

She also has to do things like breathe and blink manually until her subconscious figures out it has to do those things itself, which takes about like a day

She’s an absolute MASTER in Mystery Labyrinths, though, for understandable reasons

(which is even more impressive given the fact that personality swapping means that the mysteries are fairly different now, and even if they weren’t, it’s not like she can remember all the details of all the cases)

Is still brooding over the fact that her tits mysteriously disappeared when she became a human: combine that with the height difference, and she basically looks like an overly sassy little girl

Has no problem walking but can’t really run since she’s used to just floating

Actually isn’t as mean to other people as she is in the main game

Yuma

Ghost form just looks like Shinigami’s but slimmer, blue, and with curved horns

Human form is a fancier version of his typical outfit except a foot or so taller with a crown, the aforementioned horns, and two demonic wings that he still hasn’t figured out how to retract into his body like Shinigami does for hers

As a result, whenever he transforms, the sequence consists of him flailing about trying to balance himself with the gigantic flapping monstrosities now on his back as his clothing just magically materialises onto him

“Arise, Mystery LabyriiiIIIIIIIIINNNTH-“

His confidence pretty much took a terminal nosedive as soon as the last Labyrinth made it finally start to get better

Is especially not doing very well coping with the mental changes that come with being a death god, which starts out as just being attracted to the scent of blood, but gets… worse, over time.

”Shini, you have to hurry! If you don’t, Zange will boom-kill… I did not just say that.”

(note: still called her Shinigami at first but transitioned over to Shini rather quickly. He is still Iiving in denial of the fact that it may subconsciously be a pet name)

His version of Shinigami’s scythe is his blade, and naturally its new counterpart is the Solution Scythe

(summoning animation now consists of them doing a short little waltz before Shinigami rips off one of his wings, which turns into the scythe, and a new wing grows back painlessly)

Really doesn’t want to stab Shinigami in the back all the time even though it’s necessary to proceed in the Labyrinths: between this, Crime Scene Recreation, GOD Shinigami, and all the other situations that require him to be forceful in any sense, he makes a terrible guide

Note(s): Happy Pride Month!! Love this idea!! I will say that I didn't write it as "Everyone is happy to go to Pride" just because of what I know of Japan's views with the community. There's nothing bad, but just want to give a bit of a warning that there is some hesitance from some characters.

Akira

Oh, Akira would be thriving at a pride parade. He's wearing vibrant colors and accessories and is happily complimenting each float with you.

He's the leader of the Phantom Thieves, they fight for justice and to help people. So of course he absolutely vibes with the community too.

Akira will also happily get face painting done or if there are any small businesses selling pride merch then he'll be glad to dump quite a bit of money there (he's loaded).

Ann

Ann loves going to Pride Parades. They're just so pretty and aesthetically appealing. She'll gladly help put together some pride outfits for the two of you, keeping it looking good but also still resembling the flag (or even a different flag besides the rainbow if you wanted).

You know she is going to various booths and food stalls with you to see all the pride-themed stuff. Gladly gets pins and stickers to clip on to some of her outfits later.

She is loudly cheering and clapping when the parade starts. Happily holding your hand while marching with the floats and smiling widely as she engages conversation with you and others that are at the parade.

Akechi

There's some hesitance about going initially from Akechi. Not because he doesn't support it, but because he's a bit afraid of being recognized and judged by others. I mean, it is Japan and the last thing he wants is you being harmed because a picture of his face ends up on the news saying that he attended a pride parade.

He does end up going with you because you're just so excited and he wants to support you. I feel like with Akechi constantly striving towards a single goal, he never really took the time to explore himself so going to a Pride Parade really does cause him to start thinking over some things.

At the end of the day, Akechi is genuinely happy that he went with you. He even did get recognized a bit at the parade, but was met with nothing but support for the two of you. It definitely made him want to have deeper conversations with you regarding identity too since he's constantly struggling with who he really is.

Sae

Also, a bit hesitant about going to a pride parade just because of public perception and what her superiors might think. She does go because it makes you happy and Makoto saying it'd be a great way to see another side of the public she's defending.

Sae does very much enjoy the floats and speaking/listening to various people of the community speaking about how Pride has helped them. It definitely brings her a boost of serotonin.

Does make sure to keep an eye out in case anyone does try to cause trouble. She knows how prejudices and bias can get so she keeps you close to her while remaining vigilant. But overall, she does really enjoy the experience and being with you.

Developing S0-R0 (Sketches)

I just feel like drawing Kun3h0-likes lately, so I decided to work more on developing a "rival" character for her. Right now, I'm whittling away at this design that I'm calling "S0-R0" for the time being.

The 2 pics are the latest drawings, then I have the progress of getting to that point in chronological order. You can see the very first "rival" sketch in the last Misc doodle dump.

When I first went into this project, I didn't have any strong direction for where I wanted the character to go. Since Kun3h0 isn't fully developed as a character either, it was kinda hard to think of a foil to basically nothing. However, I did know that I at least wanted the rival's theme to be "stars" to contrast Kun3h0's hearts. So whatever I did was gonna drift towards sharpness.

The first chronological sketch is almost a straight inverse of Kun3h0's design in terms of palette. I wanted the silhouette of their arms and legs to be roughly similar so that it's more clear that they're supposed to be connected and not (just) that I have a limited amount of body-plans that I default to. I do like the black/green color scheme, but they've got a real "XBox" and "Monster Energy" vibe to them.

The outfit itself was heavily based on these clothes, just to give me a little direction, but the current design really drifted away from this.

(I added spinning bulborb just so the clothes wouldn't stretch out the post too much)

I also borrowed an old idea from my "Digital Idol Kayane" design, where she had some of her elements floating around. I figured since Kun3h0's ears/antenna just kinda "float" that I could apply the same logic to the whiskers. That detail would persist through most iterations of the design, but I eventually dropped them.

But, I was still pretty unhappy with that design, so I made another sketch and started working around it. The first iteration was mostly a palette swap to get away from Monster Energy, so I went with cyan since it's a kinda futuristic color that I thought would go great with the black base. Eventually it evolved into the second iteration where I went back to giving them the pants of the very first rival sketch and working from there. I'm not quite sure where the idea for the spikes came from. I think I just wanted to add some more "sharpness" to really work in the star motif, but then that kinda became the "main" motif beyond the stars.

I thought the black/cyan/red color scheme was really cool, but it kinda works against my established symbology where stars are yellow and moons are blue. In the event that I design a moon-motif character in the GAB universe, it would be odd for them to now not be able to use blue because the star-motif character got to it first. So, I did another palette swap, this time exchanging cyan for yellow and gold.

While I was working on that, I also got the idea to design their mascot to help with the design process. Since Kun3h0 was originally based on GAB, I thought that it might help me come up with ideas to solidify the mascot design first and that would help me design the rival proper. So, I made this little fox fella and have been designing S0-R0 around them since. I made several other palettes for the mascot, but in the end I went with my first design.

Finally, I took another stab at the outfit and landed on this minidress and made the collar comically large. I really liked the idea of this slim body being covered in large, overbearing spikes. I also took out more of the red accenting since I wanted to limit their palette as much as Kun3h0's, which is a neutral + 2 shades of the same color + a pop of one other color for small details.

It's not perfect yet, but I do like this direction. I went with this for some rough characterization: While GAB sought out someone with a strong heart to help them, FOX (name not final) sought someone with physical strength. Unlike Kun3h0 who is more emotional than a robot ought to be, S0-R0 tries to complete tasks as efficiently as possible, which leads to them using physical force to address most of their problems. They're not evil per se, they just don't consider the greater ramifications of their actions if they still ultimately complete their original task.

I haven't drawn it yet, but I think their weapon would be a morning star/flail.

The Reds and Blues (your full group and anyone else you might wanna add) are in a Pride Parade. What is everyone doing? All I know is that Sarge is driving a float and Simmons here is IN CHARGE OF CONFETTI. (This ask is brought to you by me going to my first Pride Parade yesterday)

Hey, first of all, congrats! I hope you had fun~

Sarge is definitely driving his own float, and Lopez helped him build it; the thing looks like a big rainbow version of Red Base, with multiple flags of various gender/sexuality combos (but also, they all have the Red Team insignia in a corner somewhere). Rather than drive it out of sight, Sarge is towing the whole thing in the warthog, and he's wearing a special version of his armor (just this ONCE he will be more than pure RED; he's the sunset lesbian flag, because- "It's got all of us on there!". he fully embraces this, let's go lesbians!)

Simmons is once again the Social Chairman, so he got put in charge of trying to organize everybody's duties and make activity schedules. He had to revise it several times (because he tried to micro-manage EVERY LITTLE THING), but it finally worked out pretty good. Once everything is going good, he can finally just... relax. People can still check in with him for specific things, but he mostly just gets to chill and walk around with Grif (my personal ideas for Grif and Simmons- Simmons is trans and gay, Grif is bi. they've both been in different levels of denial/awkward about this over the years, but now they can finally be themselves and embrace it. Simmons felt the need to wear a binder for years, but for the full effect of feeling accepted and proud, he has a light button-up shirt with the gay rainbow as stripes opened with a loose-fitting binder that has the trans colors underneath. then just some jeans. such minimal clothing! in public no less! Grif's in shorts and his own opened button-up shirt with the bi stripes. they participate in the parade at one point, holding up a banner that reads- "Why Are We Here? Because We're Queer!")

Caboose is the confetti king, with Freckles naturally helping! He's wearing his helmet (just regular clothes instead of full armor), and Church helped him figure out how to make the visor outwardly change to different pride rainbows without messing with his vision

Doc has a booth for anybody who needs any medical attention, and also walks around to help re-fill hydration stations, plus a variety of free snacks for people (with plenty available for people with specific diets/allergies). He has a lot of helpful references for anybody who wants to read and learn about gender/sexuality (so family and friends who want to be more accepting and mindful can get more info, and other people can figure out how to find their own community)

Donut is handing out coupons for places that sell special soaps/candles with various pride color themes. He has his own float in the parade as well, and it is a WHOLE musical number, with some flamboyant special effects and excessive glitter

Tex is just walking around ready to intimidate the absolute heck out of anybody who tries to disrupt the events. No cops or bigots at Pride, just Tex (she WILL throw a car if she needs to). She and Church participate in the parade for a bit, just kinda having fun with casual drag (she's in a masc outfit, he's in a dress. Donut helped make sure he'd be very pretty~ nothing fancy, but they have fun going with a rock-a-billy theme)

Church is handing out different kinds of glow-sticks as the sun goes down (some of them the bracelet/necklace kind that clip together). Once it is really dark, he and the rest of the Fragments put on a light show, with Theta creating the most AMAZING pride color fireworks!

Kai helped get a few different live music things going, and set up booths that have various merch/clothing for people... and once that is done, she took her rightful place in a throne on a float (there are several intersex, bi, and pan designs... but she also has a crown that says "Slut Queen", and the kink flag as her cape~)

Carolina sings some songs, and helps with some of the booths here and there... but she's mostly just enjoying the chance to take this all in, and appreciate everybody all around her

Locus is still awkward with crowds... like Sarge, he's in full armor, but similar to Caboose's visor, his can change to different rainbow combinations. He's actually more comfortable being in the parade, where he doesn't have to TALK, so he does that most of the day

Tucker is helping with the kid-friendly areas (and gives anybody who wants to call this "forcing kids to be gay" MORE than a piece of his mind). There are a lot of games, snacks, free clothes/merch. When Tucker participates in the main parade, he sets off some confetti canons with his sword (on the float, he skips a shirt, and wears leggings with the big community pattern)

Wash has clothes with his ace, trans, and gay colors, and he helps set up different booths/floats. He also passes out free key-chains and bubble bottles for people

My OCs Poppy and Junonia would help as well; Poppy would be on a float that has different flowers arranged in pride color rainbows, tossing out fake flower bouquets to the crowd. Junonia has a booth for disability inclusion (with info for people who want to learn more), and also hosts artists/craft creators who are selling merch

Project Voltage Mikus ranked by my personal taste from most to least favourite:

-Ghost. Glitchy ghost Miku. GLITCHY GHOST MIKU!! When I saw this one I gasped, it's so so good That fact that her tie is a little glowing ghost-wisp? The muted and simplistic colour palette? The "01" badge being a wisp floating next to her arm? I cannot stop screaming about it. It's. Perfect.

-Ground. Honestly it doesn't really look like Miku but I don't care it's a baller design and I love it, it was made to appeal directly to me with the adventuring themes and the tattered cloak. Her hair does remind me of thorns more than ground tbh but she still deserves her spot here

-Fighting. Of course she's paired with Sirfetch'd for the leek! I had no idea what direction Fighting-type was gonna be and while I am a little sad we don't get ripped Miku I can't deny that this design is great! The dark brown accents really help make the rest of the outfit pop and her hair is leeks you can't get much more on-brand for Miku than this

-Dragon. The mini-cloak worn over one shoulder, the claw hairclips, the sword that doubles as a mic?? Fantastic. I also think this is the design that fits her partner Pokémon best - she really does embody Miraidon

-Fire. This one is fun! Her hair is insane and I'm not entirely sure what's going on with those leggings (are those just patches of bare skin? how would you even wear those), but I love her eyes and her jacket. This is the one I want most as a module in a Project Diva game

-Psychic. I love it so much, she's so cute! It's a pretty understated design but I feel like it really works, ya know?

-Ice. I really, really like this one... mostly. The bright green gloves take a bit of the appeal away imo - on her eyes and earrings and tiny dots throughout her outfit the green accent colour is fine but the gloves take up too much space to be fully green. Her ice-heels are incredible though, no notes

-Steel. I don't what I expected for Steel-type, but it certainly wasn't a samurai! A pokéflute being worn as a sword?? Inspired. Her hat looks like it can double as a cymbal in case she needs to make some impromptu music

-Bug. Tiny little Miku! The bangs over her front resembling antennae and the multiple wing motifs on her outfit are next-level adorable. She fits in the palm of my hand

-Dark. I love her umbrella-mic, 20/10 that's the best accessory of the lot easily. And I like the rest of the outfit , but I don't like what they did with the pigtails - I understand that one's crescent-moon shaped but the fact that they are so wildly different in length and volume is really throwing me off

-Flying. This is the epitome of a Flying-type trainer's design. She's soft and flowy and looks like she belongs in the clouds. I don't know what's up with that single dark blue glove though

-Normal. The vibes are impeccable; she's just having a chill time. I really like all the colours that are going on and can rest easy knowing that this Miku definitely smokes weed

-Fairy. This one is very, very close to overtaking Normal but the face keeps throwing me off. Her skirt is very cute and I love her puffy socks. I get what they were trying to do with the hair but it just looks like she got strawberry bubblegum stuck in there

-Water. I like that the pigtails join together at the end - absolutely insane design, 10/10 - but it just. Doesn't look like Miku. I can certainly believe this as a water trainer design in one of the games tho

-Electric. You just took a regular electric trainer, gave her pigtails and called her Miku. It's an okay design overall, even if I feel like it's more on the bland side

-Grass. I flip-flop on this one, but my feelings are generally neutral. It doesn't really look like Miku imo but it does kinda look like Miku's cousin so I'll let it slide

-Rock. For one thing, I keep looking at that design and thinking it's ice. And I'm just not a huge fan of the flowy bridal-dress look (I know there's an alternate version and I do prefer that one... but only slightly, so it stays here)

-Poison. The epitome of overdesigned. Also why did you choose mustard yellow accents? On the goggles and gasmask it looks okay but in the hair?? Awful.

DISCLAIMER: this was in progress as the designs were being revealed and after I've had to chance to let my feelings on them digest for a while my opinions might change but this is how I feel about them all currently. Overall, pretty great!

I've done the sketch for Great Fairy!Nikia for the silly little BoTW/ToTK/One Piece crossover thing I've had going on for seemingly no reason besides sheer madness.

Side note: the escalation of leveling up your gear implies either Link fucks the fairies multiple times or, more plausibly and hilariously, the greatest blessing requires being dunked in the water and they're all such shits they just about waterboard him to do it. They don't seem interested in sex, more appreciating the flattery than anything else (or little conductor man is absolutely GETTING IT, WE STAN A SHORT KING!). Though they definitely think Link is cute...

Great Fairies. Are weird. OC discussion below.

So I went mostly in accordance to the art book for BoTW on the Great Fairies who are mostly identical save some minor details such as color, jewelry, hair, and makeup. She's technically related to them in the way that all fairies are related to each other. Very young as well.

So! Fun fact! I'm Breath of the Wild, the Great Fairies have no legs! Their waist down is sorta swallowed by a twisting flower bud??? Like they're the stamen for a flower kinda?? It's weird. But recent iterations of fairies tend to get rid of their legs anyway so it's not that surprising. So, I wanted her to still have them, even if she doesn't really... Use them??? So I fused it a little with Wind Waker fairies (not the child Great Fairy, who seems to control the others??? It's weird) where it sort of goes from dress to curling ribbon. So her 'legs' are actually going to be more like glass??? With the actual substance being the shoes (sort of like how the horse fairy in BoTW has detached hands) the pant ribbon things.

When she's super injured they either totally disappear or are just limp ribbons, rip.

Now, you may recall I said her wings get stolen? But here she has none. Yeah, like most Great Fairies she has none, they just tend to be floating women. So I'm not totally sure how I'll fix that plot hole unless I mean specifically the wings behind her right ear or her winged glasses. Probably her glasses. It's just silly enough to be a legit side quest in a Zelda game.

Now! The hair! There's a design note that the four great fairies have their hair flowing in one direction and it's also quite... Bombastic. So I played around with the volume a little and decided to do her braids for the trailing bit. Then I had to figure out what ties off the braids and thought it'd be cute if they were fairies holding them in place. Or maybe just hugging the ends to keep it from falling apart. Still deciding if they're game normal fairies or special colors since it's part of her design.

Still going with a dark blue/luminous stone inspired color scheme but I may color the dark jewel parts like pearls? The og girlies are pretty pastel themed so it would be interesting for a semi-traditional take to be notably different in several aspects. Parts of her outfit is themed around Lily of the Valley, such as her puffy sleeves and skirt/shorts. The sash thing that goes under her bust will also pulse with blue light but we'll see how well I can illustrate that.

She's a very glowy fairy. Hide and seek must be difficult unless she hides in her fountain.

Her fountain I'm still deciding on but I like the idea of a man made pool of perfect water with a budding flower in the middle where she lives. It blooms and she emerges like the others, save being only waist up out of the flower. Kinda giving water garden vibes like the little alcove in Zora's domain. Pillars surrounding the structure. Maybe a classic hidden entryway that requires playing music. Unsure which since it won't be made by the Royal family and as such, not need Zelda's Lullaby. I'll sit on it. A bit. Not like I could include that in the drawing.

Her magic centers more around permanent buffs revolving stamina and hearts via 'healing' ingredients. Perhaps this is how Link will manage two perfect rows of hearts and full stamina rings at the same time lol

2.2 Penacony thoughts [part 2]

**Spoiler warning** in place for the story as per usual. Got through a decent amount I think since the other night but I haven’t a clue on how much is left. This time I stopped right after we received a special hat so if you haven’t obtained such a gift yet then of course turn away now.

So we’re wandering around Golden Hour as the siblings, even running into Sparkle who was cosplaying Robin and tosses in a couple chicken wing boy comments as usual, as we listen to a few people’s opinions about dreams. I understand both the sibling’s perspectives, with Robin saying that the dreamscape is a nice escape once in a while but shouldn’t exactly be lived in and mistaken for reality, while Sunday believes it has given so many people the opportunity to actually live a life worth living. The idea of having a stress free life is indeed an inviting ideal but too much of something is never a good thing.

The options the game gave us to choose right here are hilarious and it’s perfect!

The challenges for the competition went along fine. I chose the battles for the first round and then some Hanu stuff for the second, but for the final round, I certainly wasn’t expecting our fabulously gorgeous knight Argenti!! I recall the announcer mentioning that there was someone ahead of us with striking red hair, but I thought he was just referring to Himeko since she teamed up with March and presumedly went another way, but once we approached the final stage and our beloved knight slowly came into view, I got so excited! Even the trailblazer was like “No way, I think I just saw someone…someone extraordinary.”

Only I was faced with instant disappointment because WHY WAS HE NOT VOICED?? I thought my sound was messed up or my earbuds weren’t working properly but then I heard Firefly speak no problem, so what happened to Argenti?? He has such a nice voice and it gets bugged? I’m so sad. I waited for the day he would actually appear in the main story and it’s all scuffed! Ahh! But I love that everyone resorts to calling Aventurine a peacock.

The fight went just fine, so much better than the first time I encountered him on the train during his mission, even though I don’t think I had anyone to weakness break him. Soon enough we appear in front of Sunday who is undoubtedly showing his bad side now as we get a flashback of him, Welt and Robin chatting with the “Dreammaster.” Things seemed to be going well until they weren’t and we see Sunday using those creepy Harmony rainbow waves on his dearest sister.

Turns out our holy man isn’t as harmonious as we all thought, striding on the path of Order instead. No wonder I saw so many theories floating around with that one image of its Aeon, Ena.

Jumping into a brief Sunday flashback where he’s chatting with the “Dreammaster” about a letter he received about Robin while she’s away and I’m honestly quite surprised to learn that our precious idol was actually shot. In the neck of all places too. Definitely the worst place for a singer. (Reminds me of Black Clover where Vetto pretty much attacked Kahono the same way in the Underwater Temple.) Thank heavens Robin didn’t actually perish from such a wound though. “Dreammaster” mentions that’s why she chooses to wear accessories on her neck which makes sense. I love when lore is the reason behind some sort of outfit choice. All that aside, yes hearing Sunday so panicked and ready to drop everything at a moments notice to go help her is sweet, but I’m still skeptical about him.

His motives seem dreamlike though. Yeah it’s admirable that he wishes to eradicate all feelings of despair and free people of their sorrows so they can experiences true happiness in their lives, but surely there’s gotta be a better way to go about doing it than living in a false reality.

Like.. of course I understand. Two or three days never really feels like enough time to rest after working a full week. There’s so much we wanna do in life, but limiting our free time to certain days doesn’t seem fulfilling. So, he proposes a new world (see? I knew this dude gave me Cocolia vibes for a reason!) where everyday should be a relaxing day. Where everyday can be..Sunday. And if this is the reason why they named him this then that’s too funny yet also clever. I can’t be mad at it.

It was at this moment I thought he was gonna reveal that the sacrifice was going to be one of us, or worst of all, Robin, and got a bit scared. If you want such a perfect world, why don’t you become the sacrifice yourself, chicken wing boy?

Speak your truth girlie! Love that Firefly called him out a little bit. Sunday believed that she could relate to such a wish due to her condition, but she completely tossed his meager comments aside and stood up for herself.

Now forgive me, I don’t recall if this whole ordeal with Misha is a flashback before we started that competition to see Sunday or if some magic caused it all to happen somehow during that conversation but anyways, we finally get the opportunity to learn about this child. We arrive at that place where we first encountered the Memory Zone Meme with all those flashy tvs and creepy callouts and it all seems rather familiar to Misha as his distant memories slowly come back to him. One thing I’m not too surprised about is that Mikhail was his grandpa who was acquainted with the Nameless and perhaps even one himself.

What I didn’t expect what to hear that this boy is actually from this memory bubble, much like “Dormancy.” It’s also clarified that the Express can all see Clockie because everyone has a childlike spirit, unlike Firefly and Acheron, so it seems neither of them could’ve ever found the Watchmaker’s legacy.

Yeah.. mhhhm. The confusion begins now alright. Is he is own ghost or something?? That’s how it’s making sense in my head. I dunno. Misha remains a whole dang mystery to me.

Thanks for clearing it up a little bit but. Nope. 100% denying that last part with every fiber of my being. If I wanted a mechanic on the Express I’d venture all the way back to Jarilo-VI and pick up Serval like she had originally wished during her companion guest. I’ll honestly so ticked off if after all this if Misha somehow comes to reality and officially joins Express. And don’t start saying “oh but he receives a ticket from Welt in the ‘Incredible Promise’ light cone.” That ain’t Welt. He wears his glove on his right hand, not the left hand that’s depicted in the artwork. Also the description of that light cone doesn’t even sound like it could’ve been Welt. (Sorry I’m only focusing on that last bit but I’m so passionate about Serval if that wasn’t clear as day already.)

Apologizing once again because I know this is supposed to be an emotional scene, but all I could think about was “yes, good, you stay here. No train mechanic job for you.”

I don’t really have the words to explain why I like this explanation of clockwork and how it connects to trailblazing, but yeah. All we need is that extra bit of encouragement to make our choices.

The smooth transition they did from this..

.. to this was real nice. Also, I’m realizing now that the head piece of the Watchmaker relic set is an eyepiece. For the longest time I thought it was just a real tiny hat.. and no I didn’t even think to read its name as it’s literally called “Watchmaker’s Telescoping Lens.” I’m not perfect. I’ll admit to being a little stupid.

The cutscene continues as we inherit the old dude’s hat and I love how proud mommy Himeko looks at us.

Sunday on the other hand.. well, certainly not happy that Xipe chose to smile upon us.

Eeehehe look at our girl, serving up looks! We’re so dang snazzy now and I’m loving every moment of it!

As awesome as this moment is, it does look a bit ridiculous with all us ladies there and then.. Clockie, sporting that giant grin on his face as usual.

And just like that, a new path has been acquired! Thank heavens we don’t have to be quiet about it anymore. I feel like it’s been so many weeks since I first saw the Harmony Trailblazer’s gameplay. It was a bit difficult to not get so excited while watching the 2.2 livestream and seeing little sneak peaks of the hat finally make its appearance.

And to think they teased our new ultimate all the way back during the White Night trailer. Amazing. Spectacular. Brilliant. Dazzling.

This was also another reason I decided to skip out on Robin. Didn’t think I needed two new Harmony units in one patch. But that’s all for now. I’m hoping to finish the story this weekend. First things first, however, is to hunt for a proper relic set for our dashing new Trailblazer. I did pre-farm most materials to level up traces since I was aware of the new path, but I’m still in need of more decent Watchmaker relics.

TG. Venus Fun Fact: She has an Inferiority Complex

"And now, introducing our special model!" Venus feels her heart drop at her boyfriend Usopp's announcement after Brook. He can't be talking about her; she's not special. "A sexy girl that steals the hearts of all men!" Definitely not her. "Our brainy, curvaceous navigator... Nami!" She stays quiet, while the redhead struts down the staircase, as if she's hot shit.

"Nami-swan~!" She hears Sanji gush.

"Makes sense, seeing as I'm so refined!" Venus rolls her eye at that. How vain can you get?

"May I see your panties?!" She hears Brook's voice.

"Never!" She grows a small smirk through her oncoming tears, but it disappears again at the next announcement.

"Next, a mysterious and cool beauty!" That certainly didn't describe her either. "An archeologist who seeks the mysteries of history, and the user of the Hana Hana No Mi! Nico Robin!"

Robin walks down the stairs, and demonstrated her power. "I'll show you history with these hands."

"Robin-chwan, you're so cool~!" Sanji swoons.

Venus squeezes her hands together, as the cook is up next in his dominantly dark purple outfit. She isn't letting tears come out; not now. Through Franky's turn, she contemplates the idea of making herself scarce; she can't go out there, while on the verge of tears. Not after Nami and Robin were so bright and confident. Should she just leave?

As the urge to cry grows stronger, she then makes her decision. "Next up is a person... well, he's not really a person." During Chopper's turn, Venus tunes everyone out, as she discretely heads for the other side of the ship. She holds herself, as she walks, fighting her tears and quivering lips. She only hopes no one would notice her sudden absence; despite the show just being for fun, she just doesn't have the confidence to participate anymore. She isn't tall, or busty, or pretty like the navigator, and the archeologist. The show would surely be better without the homely witch wrecking it with merely her presence.

She enters her boyfriend's workshop branch office, and quietly shuts the door. She peers out the window, feels relieved when no one seemed to notice, then sits by the bench.

Little did she realize... she slipped away a little too early.

When she was out of earshot, the next model after Zoro was announced. "I know as presenter, I shouldn't play favorites," Usopp laments, hand over his heart, "It's not fair to everyone else, but... gah, I just can't help myself!" As he dramatically smacks the railing, the others have a strong feeling who was next. "Second to last, but certainly not least... the most beautiful witch I have ever seen! And trust me; I've met a lot!" He winks, gaining laughter from the others. "She longs to be the best at her craft, and I'm confident she will be someday! She's short, has long green hair, and a green eye that shines like an emerald in the sun!" They can almost see the hearts floating around his head at his corny, yet sweet description. "She hails from the city of the mermaids! She began gracing our lives in Loguetown! She puts others before herself, always! She supports all dreams! Oh, I'm such a lucky guy!" He swoons, hugging himself.

"Our adorable spellcaster, and the user of the Majo Majo no Mi! The dark, lovely, magical angel who stole my heart years ago! The love of my life: Tempeste... G... VENUUUUUS!!" He hams it up for her grand entrance... but she doesn't come out. He stays in his pose awkwardly; maybe she was spacing out, and not paying attention? "VENUUUUUS!!" He tries again after a few seconds, with just as much enthusiasm. Still nothing. "Venus?" Now confused, he peers in the room; he only sees Luffy, who glances around, then simply shrugs with a hum of obliviousness. Where was she? He frantically turns to the audience, as the captain bursts out. "She's not in there!"

"What?!" Everyone clamors over in concern. They don't get it; she was in there with them earlier! What changed?

"What happened to Venus-chwan?!" Sanji exclaims worriedly.

"We're not docked, so she couldn't have just left," Zoro points out.

"This ship's big; we should split up into groups to look for her," Nami proposes.

"Brilliant as always, Nami-swan~!"

"Split up!" Sanji, naturally, goes with Nami, to search the lower deck, alongside Franky and Brook, Luffy, Zoro, and Chopper scale the second floor, while Robin and Usopp join together to search the other side of the upper deck.

All the while, everyone calls out in concern for their missing crewmember.

"Venus! Where are you?!" - Nami.

"Venus-chwan!" - Sanji.

"Venus, it's your turn!" - Luffy.

"Venus, this better not be a prank!" - Zoro.

"Little sis! Please come out!" - Franky.

"Venus! You better not be dead!" - Robin.

"Venus! You're up!" - Chopper.

"Venus-san!" - Brook.

"Venus! Are you okay?! We're all worried about you!" - Usopp.

Robin peers into the window of the sniper's workshop, and spots a green-haired figure sitting with the face hidden behind the knees. She recognizes the blue outfit, and black gogo boots; Venus. "Usopp!" She alerts him. "She's in here!"

Usopp runs over like mad, and slows down to walk in with Robin. At closer inspection, they hear Venus sniffling, and notice her shoulders shaking. They can't see her face, but they can tell that she's crying. "Venus?" She kneels down in front of her, as Usopp silently gestures to everyone that she's been found. "What're you doing in here? It's your turn."

Venus shakes her head. "I'm not going."

"Why not?" As a surprised Robin asks, Usopp sits next to his girlfriend, and puts his arm around her shoulders.

"Because, I..." She trails off, and hugs her legs tighter, as her boyfriend's words from earlier ring through her mind. 'Special model. Sexy girl. Brainy. Curvaceous. Mysterious and cool beauty.' Anyone could see that she was none of those things.

"Because...?" Robin repeats patiently. By now, everyone is gathered outside the room; they're relieved that she's unharmed, but at the same time, are concerned about her sudden somberness.

"LOOK AT ME!!!" Venus' head shoots up, surprising everyone with her shout. She's a mess; her pale cheeks and small nose are flushed, the one marred with black mascara trails, and her eye is red. She takes a deep, shaky breath to calm herself. "'Cause... Robin, I'm not like you, or Nami."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm not tall like you guys, or cute. Or pretty. And I'm not..." She awkwardly gestures towards her rack. "B-big here, either."

"Well, not everyone is blessed with those things," Nami says without thinking it through. "We just got lucky."

As Venus stays quiet, and hides her face again, Usopp and Zoro turn to the navigator with death glares, while everyone else, sans Sanji and Luffy, give her disapproving looks. "Go keep the stage warm," Zoro orders sternly, and she walks off with bafflement, oblivious to the impact of her words.

"Venus, it doesn't matter if you're different," Robin assures, with a gentle hand on her knee, "Your unique traits make you who you are, and we all love you." She doesn't say anything, but she does lift her head back up, so her eye is above her leg. "Don't listen to Nami; she doesn't always think before speaking."

"Ain't that the truth," Usopp mumbles, as he rubs her back.

"And you think you're not cute? Of course you are; alongside Chopper, you're the cutest one here." Venus raises her head up more, and wipes her tears, leaving watered-down mascara on the back of her hand, and spreading it on her cheek. Robin frowns in concern. "You want me to get your makeup wipes? You're starting to smear a little, and it could get in your eye." Venus nods in slight embarrassment. "Okay, I'll be right back." After gently patting her knee, she straightens up, and heads to the bedroom she shares with the witch, and the navigator. "Let's leave them alone," She advises the others, and they file away to the stage.

When they're alone, Usopp rests his temple against his girlfriend's. "Robin's right, you know. You're amazing just as you are, V." She looks up at him silently, as tears keep welling up, and creating more dark lines. He lovingly strokes her ponytail, draped over her left shoulder. "It's why I fell for you; I love everything about you. You're sweet, adorable, and the most beautiful girl on the ship." She silently leans on his shoulder with a small sniffle. "Can you smile for me?" His heart breaks when she tries, but can't muster it up. "And uh, just because I said those things about Nami and Robin, doesn't mean I have feelings for them. Robin's more like a mother, or a big sister, and frankly... Nami scares me." He doesn't notice the tiny smile briefly growing, as he glances outside. "Here, I'll tell you a little secret." She looks up a little more. "Nami made me say "special model" about her," He confesses.

That doesn't surprise her in the slightest. "Figures."

"You know how she is. If it was up to me, I would've said it about you. Because I love you, and only you. You're my special model." When she grins up at him, he happily returns it. "There's that lovely smile." He turns his head, and kisses her hair. "Were you not able to hear my introduction for you earlier?" He asks curiously, just as Robin returns with the wipes.

"N-no," She mumbles in embarrassment.

"No? Well, he was practically singing praises about you. Close your eye, and keep your brow up." As Usopp holds his girlfriend's bangs up, Robin whips one out, and starts wiping her messy makeup away, along with her tears, with motherly gentleness. Her black moon beauty mark soon becomes visible. "You look a mess right now," She says delicately, "But you're starting to look better already."

"S-sorry I disappeared like that," She sniffles, "I just couldn't go out there like this."

"It's okay, Venus. Just don't scare us like that again; we all were very worried about you." She finishes wiping, and uses another on her hand where the dark smear is, as Usopp lowers his own hand; but not before quickly kissing her forehead. As stated earlier, Venus looks better than before, without the black smears. "Do you want to go participate? You'd be second last, right before the captain."

"You don't have to if you don't want to," Usopp adds. He knows he'll be disappointed at having to leave his beloved girlfriend out of the fun if she says no, but he wants to respect her decision simultaneously. He smiles when she nods. "Awesome. Do you need a minute, before we go?"

"Yeah."

"Do you want your makeup redone?" Robin offers. "Or would you rather go without it?"

"Um... without," Venus decides, snuggling up to her boyfriend.

"Okay then, I'll leave you two alone," She stands up, "See you on stage, Venus. Kill it up there." With the encouragement, she walks away to rejoin the others.

"With or without makeup, you're always beautiful." Usopp kisses her temple, as he tucks her shoulder-length, loose chunk of hair behind her ear.

"Thanks," Her shy smile grows. "Usopp?"

"Yes, darling?"

"Everything really does look good on you," She refers to his self-introduction. "You look amazing."

He chuckles bashfully. "Thanks, V. You do too." He leans in, and holds her cheeks, as they share a kiss for a few seconds. "You'll be the prettiest girl in the whole show."

"Thanks." She snuggles into his neck and shoulder. "The coolest and manliest is the presenter."

Usopp keeps his arms firm around her. "Only the best for you." He turns outside, where the others waited at the opposite side of the ship. "You ready to head over there?"

She nods. "Yeah." They stand up, and walk together, hand-in-hand.

Once she's ready to go, Usopp returns to the transponder snail he has for a mic. "Alriiiight! Let's try this again, folks!" Everyone watches with respectful silence, as he repeats his introduction for his girlfriend, word by word. Venus smiles widely, tears of joy now in her eye, as Luffy grins behind her.

"Don't run off again," He jokes and chuckles, as she giggles.

"I won't; no worries."

"The dark, lovely, magical angel who stole my heart years ago! The love of my life: Tempeste... G... VENUUUUUS!!" Usopp finishes.

Feeling a huge boost of confidence from the sweet introduction through Brook's jamming, Venus marches over, and walks down the staircase, as everyone cheers. She stands with her left hip out, her hand over her blue skirt, and produces an energy ball with her free hand, as everyone cheers enthusiastically. "I'll cast a spell on you."

"Venus-chwan, you're wonderful~!" Sanji gushes.

"Sorry, Sanji," Venus smiles with sympathy, "This witch is taken." She blows a kiss up to Usopp, who happily catches it. She walks all the way down, and joins the others for the finale.

"You were great up there," Robin praises.

"Yeah, you were super~!" Franky adds.

"Thanks, guys," She giggles shyly, then perks up when Brook plays more enthusiastically, "Ooh, here comes the last one!"

"And naturally, he'll be the one to close the show!" Usopp announces. "The user of the Gomu Gomu No Mi! The leader of the Straw Hat Crew!" Luffy twists his arms into spirals. "He wants to find the great treasure One Piece, and become the Pirate King!" He stretches his legs, and poses confidently with his slinky arms. "Monkey D. Luffy!"

He launches himself up to the top. "I will be the Pirate King!"

That night, after a long day of battling Marines, getting patched up, and retrieving a misplaced Zoro from Hand Island, the Straw Hats prepare to turn in for the night, with Franky on the first night watch shift. "Goodnight, little sis!" He calls out when he spots the young witch clad in a black nightgown.

She giggles, and waves. "Goodnight, big bro!"

Before she gets to the bedroom, a pair of arms wrap around her waist, greatly startling her. "OH!" She yelps, but relaxes when she spots the familiar, blue and white striped wristband. She feels his chin on her scalp. "You scared me," She laughs.

"What?! What scared you?!" Usopp pretends to shield her from an imaginary threat, and glances every which way cautiously. As he holds her closely, one of his arms is over her mouth. "I'll protect you, my angel."

She giggles, and gently pushes his arm off her face. "It was you who did, you goof," She jokes.

He chuckles, and rests his chin on her shoulder. "Wanna take turns pushing each other on the swing before bed?"

"I would love to, but I'm beat," She regretfully says, as she nuzzles her head on his, "Tomorrow, before lunch?"

"It's a date."

She smiles, and kisses his cheek. "I may had been sad about it at first, but the fashion show was fun."

"I'm glad you enjoyed it," He holds her closer, "And I'm sorry you felt so down about yourself."

"It's okay, it wasn't your fault."

"Well, if we do it again... you can go first."

She smiles, and nods. "Thanks. Sounds like a plan."

She lets out a big yawn, making him chuckle again. "Sounds like you should turn in, sleepyhead."

"I would be in bed by now, if you hadn't snuck up on me like that," She playfully chides him, as he soothingly pets her hair.

"You love being with me," He coos.

"I do," She giggles, adjusts herself, and pulls him in for a goodnight kiss, with her hands on his cheeks. "I love you, Usopp. Goodnight."

He smiles wider when she kisses his long nose. "I love you too, Venus. Sweet dreams."

He goes to give her a last one on her forehead, when a strong hand yanks him away. "Come on, loverboy," Zoro orders, "Less kissing, and more sleeping."

The couple pouts from their sudden separation, but go to turn in regardless.
