What's your thoughts about the unifications?
Conceptually, unification works. Honestly, I think it makes sense being able to dual wield Miraculous. Especially working off positive and negative energy/yin-yang.
Tumblr media
It works off that theme of balance, having two different energies being able to work together.
But, much like anything in canon, I feel the concept could've gone farther.
Like, I think it'd be neat that unification could lead to animals that don't exist as Miraculous:
Ladybug + any feline creates a Leopard themed hero.
Any bug + any reptile creates a Dragonfly themed hero.
Any reptile + any bird creates a Dragon themed hero.
Any cat + any bird creates a Griffin themed hero.
Horse + Fish could've made a Seahorse themed hero.
Cat + Goat could've made a Chimera themed hero.
Not that they really went that way and just went weird with the naming, combing the names of preexisting heroes instead of letting characters name themselves and working off their own unique personalities. Like, instead of Pegabug, I could've seen Marinette calling herself Appaloosa or if you want to go punny, Appleloosa.
I also think that dual wielding Miraculous shouldn't be that difficult, as pairs are something that always exist, and I can see the body handling matching with two different types of magical energy. Now, wielding more than 2 I can see being set up to take a toll on the body as there's more magical energy to work off of, and the higher you go the more tired you're going to be.
Though I could just be biased as I feel the temporary heroes weren't necessary and Marinette and Adrien could've juts unified with the rest and continue to handle things; I also feel that, post meeting Fu and him able to see that they were trustworthy and dedicated and were able to succeed despite HM having the being an adult edge, they should've gotten a 2nd Miraculous to have full time, not only to help give them a boost, but also allow continued growth.
Ladybug/Tikki did help with Marinette's growth in confidence and being a leader, but there's nothing else TIkki is adding to her growth (which I find it's kinda debatable how much Tikki really added to Marinette's over all growth), but at this time, Ladybug and Tikki just work off this is a responsibility than something for Marinette to grow as a character. And now she's developing an Atlas complex and that anxiety is getting worse with the pressure and expectation of the role and no one there telling Marinette she needs to prioritize and value her own needs and wants. I don't even know if this girl knows how to relax at this point. And that there is the next phase for Marinette's growth. She needs to learn to put down boundaries, to say no, to not involve herself as much, and think about her own needs and wants, cause you can't really help others until you help yourself.
Cat/Plagg was good for Adrien to gain that independence he wants, be more rebellious against his father, and to self-prioritize. But now he prioritizes his wants way too much, doesn't really treat heroing with the seriousness required nor has he stepped up as a leader and equal to Ladybug, and still readily endangers himself, to the point of self-sacrificing. And that's the next phase for his growth, get a Miraculous and kwami that will address those, learn to be more serious in fights, not to say he can no longer be a wisecrack but save the flirting and pranks for night patrols not akuma fights, step up as a leader and truly share that burden, which would've helped his partner rely on him more and trust his capability more, and address that self-sacrificing. Either learn to be more cautious or think a little bit more before acting. Like, great, you saved your partner by sacrificing yourself, but you also left her alone to deal with things, and what if the fight went poorly because she was alone, and she fails, and that sacrifice was pointless. I don't know how many more times he did so, but man it needed to be addressed.
Another factor is that unification could've been extra interesting in that combing Miraculous could've created new powers through the combination of preexisting powers.
Like Shelter + Venom could've created Shell Shock, where hitting the shield would shock and stun a target.
Shelter + Cataclysm or Clout could've made Bombshell, put up a protective dome and it sends out a destructive blast or shock wave around you.
Mirage + Cataclysm could've made Nightmare, where the illusion creates someone's worst fears.
Second Chance + Cataclysm could've made Hissterics, getting a target to live in the worst timeline.
Time travel could've existed as a unification power through combining Horse and Snake/Rabbit, if the latter still has a time power.
Though neat an idea it is, it is something that would work better with fewer Miraculous, as 19 that canon has is a lot of powers to think of possibly combining. That is 361 matches to think about and how they make a new power. And now that I got 35 I won't be doing the concept either, even more so as I'm going with Miraculous having 2 powers to offer.
So unification is a neat concept, but I think it could've gone further if they were more creative. Definitely prefer it to the potions.

Hi Sugar!
I was reading your analysis of the five couples you see as endgame (this one here) and I really enjoyed it! But I was wondering; how do you think that Pyrrha plays a role in Jaune and Weiss's relationship? Is it something like Cinder or something unique, or maybe nothing at all?
Hi,
thank you so much for this ask! I really really love White Knight, so asks on its structure and thematic meaning are welcome!
So, Pyrrha is 100% important, as it is Ruby. They both are key for Weiss and Jaune's relationship. Of course, I am headcanoning WK is gonna be endgame. However, even if this isn't the case, I think many of the things below will still hold true in a platonic sense :)
Tumblr media
TRIANGLES
Let's consider these two scenes:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What do they have in common?
They focus on Weiss and Jaune
They involve a dynamic among three characters
They deal with the choice of a partner
Both Jaune and Weiss have a specific partner in mind. Jaune wants Weiss, while Weiss wants Pyrrha. However, the end results are different from what they expect. Weiss finds Ruby, while Jaune is chosen by Pyrrha.
Why is that so? It is a case of want vs need. Here is an extract from the above linked meta:
By this point Weiss and Jaune are pursuing a superficial dream of heroes and monsters. They figure their most perfected selves beside the "right" patner.
On the one hand Weiss wants Pyrrha to be the "knight" to her "princess":
Weiss: This will be perfect! The smartest girl in class combined with the strongest girl in class! Together we will be unstoppable!
She wants someone strong (body) that complements her intelligence (mind). She thinks that in this way she can't fail.
On the other hand Jaune wants Weiss to be the "princess" to his "knight":
Jaune: Don't worry! No need to be embarrassed! So, been hearing rumors about teams! I was thinking you and me would make a good one! What do you say?
He wants someone who is beautiful and looks frail, so he can protect her. He thinks in this way he can appear strong.
Both are wrong obviously. This is why they end up with respectively Ruby and Pyrrha as partners.
Weiss needs to realize what complements mind is not body, but heart. This is why she is paired with Ruby, who lacks physical strength, but has more than enough heart to guide Weiss. Throughout the initiation, Weiss herself has to act as a Knight by saving Ruby from the Nevermore. And later on, she needs to follow Ruby's plan (so Ruby's mind) to take down the Grimm and pass the trial.
Jaune needs to realize a real knight is not physically strong, but is wise (mind) and brave (heart). This is why he ends up with Pyrrha, who is both and challenges him in two different ways. She doesn't fit feminine stereotypes and sees Jaune's value not in his superficial traits, but rather in his willingness to help. Throughout the initiation, Jaune shows this by staying behind to lead others into kiling the Grimm.
In short, Jaune wants Weiss, but needs Pyrrha, while Weiss wants Pyrrha, but needs Ruby. Let's make two considerations:
1- WK is built on "triangles". A triangle is a trope where one character wants another, but this other wants a third person, who is instead interested in the first. This is obvious in Weiss, Jaune and Pyrrha's dynamic. Weiss wants Pyrrha, who wants Jaune, who wants Weiss. The song Dream Come True strengthens this idea, as Pyrrha sings to Jaune, while throwing shades at Weiss.
Obviously, the triangle is quickly solved. Weiss warms up to Ruby as her partner and Jaune gives up on Weiss and falls for Pyrrha.
Still, this early setting is important. As a matter of fact RWBY plays with romantic archetypes in its ships. Two examples:
Renora deconstructs and reconstructs the childhood friend to lover trope. Usually, there is a character, who falls first and supports the other, until their love is reciprocated. Here, though, Nora eventually realizes that to stay with Ren, she needs to grow as her own person. Both partners need to change, so that their dynamic can transform.
Bumbleby uses a harem to explore Blake's developing interiority and animus. Each one of Blake's love interests tie into her sexuality, inner maturity and fairy tale symbolism. By going through Blake's "harem", we get many different relationships that help Blake explore herself, until she is ready for Yang.
In short, RWBY gets inspiration from love tropes, but it makes them thematic. The same can be said about WK and triangles. The point isn't that W,J and P or W, J and R are in romantic triangles, but rather that these characters make 2 thematic trios. In other words, Pyrrha and Ruby foil Weiss and Jaune and are both important for their relationship. Similarly, Weiss and Jaune's bond is key for their respective dynamics with Ruby and Pyrrha.
2- Weiss and Jaune's want vs need struggle applies to more than just the choice of a partner. It actually defines their whole arcs.
Weiss wants to honor her family legacy, but needs to define herself outside the Schnees. Jaune wants to be a strong hero, but needs to love himself for who he is. That said, Weiss and Jaune will both realize their early want. Weiss is gonna define a new legacy for the Schnee Family. It is just that the SDC is no more a part of it. Jaune is gonna bloom into a hero. It is just that true heroes are not always the strongest. Both are getting their want, but in an unforeseen way.
The same holds true for their preferred partners. Weiss is getting Pyrrha (yes, really) and Jaune is getting Weiss. Confused? No worries, it will all be clear in a minute ;) For now, let's analyze both Whiterose and Arkos and what they mean for White Knight.
WHITEROSE - HUNTRESSES
Tumblr media
Weiss and Ruby are each other's "hunting" partners. They fight side by side to save lives and pursue the same dream of becoming Huntresses. This is the thematic heart of their relationship, which is mirrored in their intertwined allusions. As a matter of fact there is a Hunter in both Snowhite and Little Red Riding Hood.
On the one hand Snowhite's Hunter is weak. He wants to help Snowhite, but all he can do is not to kill the princess and to leave her alone in the woods. On the other hand Little Red Riding Hood's Hunter is the hero of the fairy tale. He kills the wolf and saves the protagonist and her grandmother. What does it mean for Whiterose?
It ties in how Ruby inspires Weiss. Let's consider this scene:
Ruby: Weiss! Go for its belly! There's no armor underneath...
Tumblr media
In the fairy tale, the Hunter kills a boar to help Snowhite. It is his one good deed. Similarly, Weiss kills a Boarbatusk with Ruby's help to act as a true Huntress. This is why the Grimm later on becomes an avatar symbolic of Weiss's Huntress side:
Port after Weiss kills the Boarbatusk: Bravo! Bra-vo! It appears we are indeed in the presence of a true Huntress-in-training!
Weiss in the aftermath of the party where she summons the Boarbatusk for the first time: The Schnee family legacy isn't yours to leave. It's mine, and I'll do it as a Huntress.
The metaphor is clear. Ruby (LRRH's Hunter) inspires Weiss (SW's Hunter) to grow into a hero. She leads Weiss towards a better version of herself:
Weiss: Just know that I am going to be the best teammate you'll ever have!
This is the perfect set-up for Weiss to eventually inspire Ruby back. For her to become the Huntress who saves Little Red Riding Hood:
Weiss: I don’t know who you think you are, but let me tell you who I am: I am the granddaughter of a hero and a child of a villain. I am a citizen of a fallen Kingdom and an heir to nothing. I will not be defined by my name because I will be the one to define it. I am Weiss Schnee, and I am a Huntress!
Past Ruby: So, are you a Huntress? Like the ones you read about in books? Ruby: I… I don’t know…
Volume 9 offers Weiss a perfect chance. Ruby is lost and is eventually eaten by two Big Bad Wolves (Neo and the Curious Cat). However, Weiss fails:
Ruby: Don’t worry. We’ll find a way outta here and we’ll go back home. Weiss? Weiss: It's… It’s all gone… There’s nothing left for me to go back to… Just like Beacon… Ruby: You did the best you could for Atlas, Weiss. Weiss: But it wasn't enough! We hatched a crazy plan that put a whole kingdom at risk, and we don't even know if we saved the Relics from… Maybe… Jaune and Winter were able to get them out, despite… everything… despite us…
Several times Ruby notices Weiss's pain and tries to comfort her. Several times Ruby is similarly struggling, but Weiss can't support her. Weiss herself explains why:
Weiss: Maybe she didn’t feel like she could… Ruby has always been the one to get us through the hard times. We say things like “We believe in you”, “We can count on you”. I know we mean well, but…
Weiss idealizes Ruby too much and downgrades herself. She thinks Ruby can lead them all, but Weiss has actually grown enough to guide others too. She shows it by helping Jaune:
Weiss: I think you’re asking too much of yourself. We’ve been telling ourselves that failing means we’re no good. But I can guarantee even the best Huntsmen in history… they’ve all lost. But they were still incredibly brave… and good.
Weiss's speech here is an inversion of her initial dialogue with Ruby. There she feels her best is not enough and she drowns in self-hate. Here, she realizes that even if she and her friends lose, they are still good people.
It is a game of mirrors. She fails to see Ruby because she can't help herself. She sees Jaune and saves herself by helping him.
In short, Weiss fails with Ruby, but succeeds with Jaune. I think this is key for Weiss, Ruby and Jaune's dynamic.
At Beacon, Weiss is too immature for Pyrrha and doesn't see Jaune as a romantic partner. She needs Ruby to grow as a person.
In the Ever After, Weiss depends on Ruby too much and needs Jaune (who is Pyrrha's legacy) to develop.
So, she grows with Ruby until she and Jaune are ready for each other. Now, her bond with Jaune is helping her to bloom in the friend Ruby needs. It is a virtuous cycle where both Ruby and Jaune help Weiss mature, so that she can be the best partner ever. Platonic for Ruby and romantic for Jaune (imo).
If this turns out true, then Weiss's Nevermore might be tied to both Ruby and Jaune (other than to her team and family).
It is already strongly associated with Ruby, as team RWBY killed the Grimm together. Moreover, Weiss first tries to summon it to save her partner:
Tumblr media
Later on, she materializes its wings while fighting with her team minus Ruby:
Tumblr media
And eventually conjures the whole thing, as Ruby comes back:
Tumblr media
It is possible the Nevetrmore will be linked to Jaune, as well. After all, he is the one who calls Weiss "Snow Angel". The Grimm is meant to show that Weiss can indeed be an angel to others:
Tumblr media
Ruby and Jaune are equally important for Weiss. She needs Ruby to end up with Jaune and she needs Jaune to be the Huntress Ruby deserves. At the same time, Ruby and Jaune represent two sides of Pyrrha, the partner Weiss initially wants.
I usually don't use spinoffs, but I think Ice Queendom makes it pretty clear:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Weiss looks at Pyrrha in awe, but the ones she needs are Ruby and Jaune.
Ruby is a paragon, just like Pyrrha. She has both mind and heart, like our Achilles. The main difference is that Ruby is younger, so she lacks experience and fighting prowess. Weiss needs Ruby for 2 reasons:
She needs to reconcile with her inner-child that has been suppressed by Jacques's abuse:
Weiss: I always wanted bunk beds as a kid.
She needs to see what's important is the heart (Ruby's idealism) and not the body (Pyrrha's fighting skills).
What about Jaune? In which way is he Weiss's Pyrrha? Let's discover it.
ARKOS - ANIMA
Tumblr media
Pyrrha is Jaune's partner and his love interest. She is also the key character of Jaune's story, as his allusion makes clear. Jeanne d'Arc is a maid whose actions are inspired by God. Similarly, Jaune is a knight able to perform miracles:
Tumblr media
Whose hands and resolve are guided by his Goddess:
Jaune: No. I don't think I'm healing her. Our Aura heals our bodies. It feels… it feels more like I'm using my Aura to amplify hers! Nora: Wait, aren't you worried about running out? Jaune: Pyrrha once told me I've got a lot of it. I still believe her.
Pyrrha is Jaune's deity and inspiration:
Pyrrha: For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Through this, we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all. Infinite in distance and unbound by death, I release your soul, and by my shoulder, protect thee.
So, Jaune's arc is about:
becoming like Pyrrha
overcoming Pyrrha's death
Still, how can Jaune become like Pyrrha, while leaving her behind? Aren't these 2 objectives contradictory? Only superficially. What Jaune must do is to integrate with his anima. In Jungian Psychology, the anima is the feminine part of a man. It is a side, which is often suppressed, but that needs to come to light for the man to truly mature into a balanced person. A person, who can have positive and healthy romantic relationships.
This is the crux of Jaune's character. He is inspired by Jeanne because she is both maid and knight. Similarly, Jaune must transform into a knight, who is also a maiden. A hero who overcomes his toxic masculinity by accepting his feminine parts. The only way for him to succeed is to integrate with his anima, who is represented by Pyrrha. From the first meta linked:
Jaune's journey through the anima is well conveyed through 4 stages, which stand for archetypical female figures. Each one represents a different level of maturity:
Eve is the mother - The boy has no romantic attachment and sees the woman as a source of protection and nourishment
Helen is the seductress - The boy feels romantic attraction and sees the woman as a talented individual, but pays no attention to her spiritual or inner life
Mary is the virgin - The boy feels mature love and sees the woman as a paragon of virtue, but pays no attention to her negative traits
Sophia is wisdom - The boy is ready for a relationship with a woman as an equal partner and sees the feminine as a source of wisdom with no need to objectify the woman anymore
These phases describe Jaune's general approach to women and how it changes. He arrives at Beacon looking for a girlfriend because that is what a man should do, which in itself is a very childish behavior. Then he grows to see the girls around him as powerful individuals, but he can't go behind the surface. This is true for Weiss, but also for Pyrrha, whose struggles he ignores. After her death, Pyrrha becomes an ideal, but she isn't the only one. For example, Jaune believes Weiss and Ruby can save Pyrrha from Cinder and later on he keeps idealizing them. In volume 9, he learns to let go of his idealization and to see others as their own people. He is stepping into Sophia (wisdom).
Pyrrha is Jaune's anima in the sense she represents the feminine side Jaune needs to acquire. At the same time, the way Jaune's relationship with Pyrrha changes highlights the boy's maturation:
Eve > Jaune is nurtered and protected by Pyrrha to the point he even compares her to his mother:
Jaune: Bring it on, Ice Queen! I'll have you know that I have been told that I am a natural born leader! Weiss: By who? Your mother? Jaune: A-and Pyrrha! Pyrrha: Hello again!
He feels no attraction towards her.
Hellen > Jaune grows attracted to Pyrrha, but struggles to understand her interiority. For example, he is unable to see her feelings for him or to fully grasp her inner conflict about the Maiden powers:
Pyrrha: I don't know if I can do it. Jaune: Of course you can. The Pyrrha Nikos I know would never back down from a challenge. And if you really believe it's your destiny to save the world… you can't let anything stand in your way. Despite Jaune's intentions, this doesn't bring relief. Instead, Pyrrha looks absolutely shattered, covering her mouth as she begins to sob.
Mary > Jaune idealizes Pyrrha and sees her as a paragon of heroism and virtue. He tries to emulate her and to become a hero like her:
Jaune: I think… I think she knew she wasn't going to win. That she might not come out alive. But… she also knew she was the only one that could try. Ren: So she did. Nora: Maybe we should too. Jaune: Yeah, we should.
This idealization is heartwarming, but it's what's keeping Jaune stuck. He can never overcome Pyrrha's death if he transforms her into an idol. Not only that, but it is something Pyrrha herself would not have wanted:
Pyrrha: I've been blessed with incredible talents and opportunities. I'm constantly surrounded by love and praise, but when you're placed on a pedestal like that for so long, you become separated from the people that put you there in the first place. Everyone assumes I'm too good for them. That I'm on a level they simply can't attain. It's become impossible to form any sort of meaningful relationship with people. That's what I like about you. When we met, you didn't even know my name. You treated me just like anyone else. And thanks to you, I've made friendships that will last a lifetime. I guess, you're the kind of guy I wish I was here with. Someone who just saw me for me.
Pyrrha is drawn to Jaune because he is the only one who does not put her on a pedestal. However, after her death, this is what our Knight does to an extent. So, a good resolutioin would be for Jaune to see Pyrrha for who she is. A brave girl Jaune loves and who dies too soon. This is the only way Jaune can forgive both Pyrrha and himself. This is where Weiss (Sophia or Wisdom) steps in:
Curious Cat: I am talking about you, Wise Huntress.
Let's compare these 2 scenes:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both have Jaune struggling with grief and self-hate. In the first one, he has just lashed out at Oscar out of anger for Pyrrha's death. In the second one, he has just lashed out at Ruby out of anger for the paper pleasers ascending. Both times, he is doubting himself. Both times, a woman comes and reassures him. The first time, Pyrrha's mother/ghost/vision encourages him to keep going. The second time, Weiss encourages him to let go. Both scenes end with a family like re-union (team JNR and team RWBY).
Not to count there are mystical leaves flying around:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Someone coming back in an unexpected form:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And a giant stone:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both situations emphasize that even the best heroes fail. Still, they give this lesson a different spin. Pyrrha teaches Jaune the importance of going on despite the risk of failure. Weiss teaches Jaune the necessity of forgiving one-self for failure. Pyrrha acts as Mary and guides Jaune towards an ideal. Weiss acts as Sophia and leads Jaune towards his real self.
The final stage of the anima is about seeing one-self and the other clearly, both strengths and weaknesses. The romantic partner stops being objectified and is simply accepted as their own person. So, Jaune's final step towards self-actualization will be to let go of Pyrrha's idealized memory and to embrace Weiss, for whom she really is. This conclusion would be perfect for his bond with both girls:
Jaune would overcome Pyrrha's death by stopping his idealization of her. He would put Pyrrha down from her pedestal and love the girl in all her beauty and contradictions. He would finally be able to understand her fully, which is what he fails to do at Beacon.
Jaune would love Weiss for her true self, instead than her superficial beauty. He would appreciate the girl because she shares some of Pyrrha's best qualities, like her bravery and her heart, which is that of a Huntress. He would accept some of Weiss's most masculine traits, that he initially ignores.
In other words:
Jaune needs to mature by Pyrrha's side to be ready for Weiss
Jaune needs Weiss's help to face the memory of Pyrrha properly
As a matter of fact only by seeing Pyrrha clearly, Jaune can fully integrate with her, which means he can fully bloom into a hero like Pyrrha. Not only that, but he can succeed, where Pyrrha fails. What are Pyrrha's 2 objectives?
Pyrrha: I've always felt as though I was destined to become a Huntress - to protect the world
Nothing, even death Could separate our souls 'Cause you're my final goal
Pyrrha's 2 destinies are to be a hero and to be in love. She fulfills them both tragically. Jaune will fulfill them both in a more positive way.
He is guiding Cinder towards her destiny, by conveying the meaning of Pyrrha's words (heroism)
He is getting his happily ever after with Weiss (love)
In other words, Jaune is fulfilling Pyrrha's legacy thanks to Weiss and is ending up with Weiss thanks to Pyrrha.
THE BEAUTY OF WHITE KNIGHT
Let's summarize Weiss and Jaune's arcs.
Weiss's story is about overcoming her father's abuse. This starts with her affirming who she is outside her surname, goes on with her healing her family and it ends with a new legacy and a new romantic interest. The Schnee name is dirtied when Willow is caught in an abusive relationship with Jacques. Their marriage twists Weiss's perception of romantic relationships:
Weiss: All my life, boys have only cared about the perks of my last name.
So, it would be the cherry on top of Weiss's arc for her family to be reborn together with a new love. A bond with someone who genuinelly likes Weiss:
Jaune: It's Weiss. I'm completely head-over-heels for her, and she won't even give me a chance. She's cold, but she's also incredible. She's smart, and graceful, and talented. I mean, have you heard her sing? I-I just wish she's take me seriously, y'know? I wish I could tell her how I feel without messing it all up.
Jaune's story is about loving himself for who he is, as a whole. Strength and weakness. Masculine and feminine traits alike. The path to do so is to integrate with Pyrrha and become the hero she was. At the same time, he needs to work through his grief over Pyrrha's death. Both goals can be celebrated with the beginning of a fresh relationship. A bond with someone Jaune has always admired. That would be Pyrrha's final gift to him:
Pyrrha: Then do it. Tell her exactly what you said. No ridiculous schemes, no pick-up lines. Just… be honest. You can't get it wrong if it's the truth.
This is why I personally don't believe either Weiss or Jaune ending up single fits their stories. Weiss deserves a romantic partner who loves her, so she can write a story different from her parents'. Jaune needs a new relationship to give both himself and Pyrrha closure.
In conclusion, I personally think both Whiterose and Arkos are intertwined with White Knight.
Arkos especially is a part of White Knight. White Knight would not be possible without Arkos. At the same time, Arkos would lack a powerful catharsis without White Knight. They are 2 bonds that are bound to grow and develop thanks to each other.
Thank you for the ask! I hope my rambling made sense :)

I done rewatched "Fun and Games" and I've concluded that the center of the episode is this line:
"One half of this room has major emotional problems and it's not us!"
Like the rest of the crew, Stede and Ed are faced with their shadow selves - two women, Mary and Annie, whose relationship began in violence and who "retired to the countryside" and have increasingly soured on each other, to the point that they stab each other in the back (literally) and poison one another's drinks to keep things fresh. They are, in effect, what Stede and Ed might become if they don't embrace what Buttons says at the end of the episode: "To love the sea as she must be loved requires change." Mary and Annie ultimately did not change - they festered.
Tumblr media
While not entirely 1:1, Annie is Stede, the lover of beauty who retires with the more experienced pirate because she needed to, and Mary is Ed, the seasoned pirate saved by her lover who both hates and longs for her past.
Ed remarks that Mary is a bad wife for destroying the things that her partner loves - "Good going, Mary, I'll bet Annie really loved that piece of shit clock!"
Stede remarks that Annie is insane - "Oh c'mon, you steal people's faces!"
Mary says that this is an "adult relationship," and that Stede and Ed will wind up the same way, just waiting for one of them to die. But a second later, Annie bursts in, having set the antique shop on fire, perfectly willing to destroy everything because it has become a trap for them both. The fine things she loves are not more important than Mary herself.
Tumblr media
In the arc of the show, we know that Stede has already given up his own "fine things" in order to go back to sea and find Ed. Ed's role is to now leave behind the pirate persona that has become a threat to his sanity and become (change into) the man that he needs to be in order to love Stede as he should be loved. Again, none of this is 1:1, but the whole point is for them to become what they need to be for each other, or risk letting their relationship fester.
For all their issues, Stede and Ed are actually more balanced than Mary and Annie. But they risk not being that in the future - turning into what Mary says they'll become, after the intensity of their relationship wears off. It's warning, though, not a prediction, and Mary winds up even being wrong about her relationship.
Tumblr media
Ed and Stede run from the antique shop, leaving Mary and Annie to deal with their own issues, and embark on the new beginning to their own relationship. They still act like teenagers on a first date, uncertain of where they stand. But they're moving toward each other again - Stede dashes off with all the urgency of a Golden Retriever to get Ed back on the ship, Ed looks after Stede with a goofy fondness, loving him more with every second. And Buttons proves that change is possible, even when it seems impossible.

The Importance of Lonnie Byers in Season 5
After much theorizing and consideration, I am confident beyond a shadow of a doubt that not only will Lonnie be present in season 5, but that he’s actually crucial to the main plot of the story.
I’m going to first explain why I think his appearance will be important from an objective storytelling point of view and then theorize what I think his role is actually going to be.
TW: Discussions of child abuse.
Lonnie’s absence has created major unresolved conflict with both Will and Jonathan
I wanna start by saying that I’m looking at this from an objective storytelling point of view and not in the context of real world situations.
Lonnie has only appeared in season 1 and has not made an appearance since. In fact, he hasn’t been mentioned by name, only indirectly mentioned majority of the time by Jonathan. Will and Lonnie haven’t even shared a scene. This creates a huge hole of unresolved conflict between Lonnie and his sons. In fact, the only member of the Byers clan who has resolved their conflict with him is Joyce.
When Joyce is in an emotionally vulnerable state, Lonnie shows up and she clings to him, despite how much he belittles her. Eventually Joyce stands her ground, defends herself, and then demands that he leaves. We can see that Joyce has finally moved on from him once she has moved on to different and better romantic partners in later seasons. She hasn't even mentioned him, not in the way that Jonathan has.
In each season, Jonathan has brought up his father through dialogue. It usually revolves around Jonathan's inner conflict of fearing that he is becoming like his father, and that his father has affected who he is today.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And given that this has been brought up in every season, we see that this hasn't been resolved yet. Lonnie returning would be a good opportunity for Jonathan to come to some kind of self realization.
In the case of Will, it's pretty unclear how he really feels about his dad. Aside from a few lines of dialogue from season 1, we don't get much in the way of Will's point of view. However, I do think that Will misses his dad. I think this could also create interesting conflict between Will and Jonathan; Will is highly receptive of their dad coming back and Jonathan is not. Jonathan and Will have never really had any conflict before, so it might be interesting to see them fight about something. If everyone is on the exact same page about Lonnie, and there was a simple resolve, it wouldn’t be interesting to watch.
Again, as stated above, I want to be clear that I'm looking at this from a fictional storytelling standpoint. I don't think that abuse survivors need to confront their abusers in person in order to find closure, however when discussing fictional characters and character arcs, leaving the show without any confrontation from either Jonathan and/or Will would leave that conflict open.
Lonnie's absence tells me that they are holding out on something big from him
The fact that Lonnie has not shown up in the past three seasons informs me that when he does show up, he'll likely be the catalyst for a major plot point. Think about it this way, if Lonnie were connected to some kind of major plot twist (such as Will's powers) then it would make sense to not bring him back until the last season, because doing so prematurely could set in motion some of the larger set pieces that needed to be saved for the ending.
I think if Lonnie were truly unimportant to the future plot, then they could have wrapped up his arcs with Will and Jonathan earlier. I think he could have easily fit in to season 2, especially with the focus being so heavy on the Byers family in that season. But no, they are holding out on him until the very last season, which speaks to the importance of his role in the main plot of the story.
Lonnie is likely connected to Will's powers
Now that I've explained why he is important to season 5's plot, now comes the part where I theorize about what his exact role in the story will be. Namely, I believe that he is connected to Will's powers.
I'm not going to go into all of the theoretics involving Lonnie and Will's powers, that would just make the post even longer than it already is. I've made a few posts in the past exploring Lonnie's possible connection to the lab, which I think is highly likely. You can read them here, here, and here.
I have another large theory post where I discuss how Lonnie may have even been the trigger for Will's powers here, which relates to another long theory post I made regarding Will's childhood memories here.
There's a lot of different ways this could go, but either way, I think Lonnie is a major part of Will's powers and is likely connected with the lab. Will doesn't remember this very well, but seeing his dad again could likely jog his memory.
Lonnie could likely die, following a pattern set by the show of abusive figures dying
I've theorized about how this could go in a number of different ways, but the ending is still the same. If Lonnie were to die, it would be the third in a pattern of abusers dying that started with Billy's death and was continued with Papa's death in season 4. There also seems to be a string of deaths involving father figures, starting with Bob and season 2 and again continued with Papa in season 4. Either way, Lonnie Byers your days are numbered.
Here's a rough timeline of my prediction of how I think the season could go:
Lonnie returns very early on after the time skip. He claims to be there to make amends with and spend time with his boys.
Joyce and Jonathan are weary of his return and intentions but Will is excited to see his dad again.
Joyce decides that Will's feelings about his dad should be up to him, while Jonathan is more combative. This creates tension between Will and Jonathan.
Unsurprisingly enough, Lonnie is there for his own personal gain, probably connected to the lab. Most likely sent in by Owens
As Will discovers the extent of his powers throughout season 5, his childhood and the extent of Lonnie's abuse will likely be revealed to him, forcing Will to contend with the fact that his father is a monster
The above bullet is a mirror to El's arc last season with Papa. Except now, Will will likely be horrified to learn this information and will want to see his father as good as much as possible.
There is a final confrontation between Will, Jonathan and Lonnie which is likely the climax of whichever episode it's in, likely episode 6 or 7.
Lonnie's arc ends with his death.
I know that a lot of the details are a little loose toward the end, this is something that I'm still theorizing about and putting together. Regardless of specifics, Lonnie's importance and likely appearance in season 5 is something I'm still highly confident in. Let me know what you guys think, or any predictions that you have!

Full Propaganda: Edalyn “Eda” Clawthorne
Tumblr media
1. “she starts the series dead set on the fact that this arrangement with this random human kid is just so that the kid doesn't get killed and ends the series being the unofficial parent of somewhere between 3-8 kids, depending on how you define it”
2. “Eda Clawthorne is the best adoptive mother to ever mother. She starts out season 1 being reluctant to take on a maternal role towards Luz when she first comes to the Boiling Isles, which we later learn is from fear of getting attached. And get attached, she does. Eda is willing to sacrifice herself for Luz by the end of season one and is captured by Lilith for the kid she met (canon time is kinda funky) around a couple weeks ago. Even if it meant death, she was willing. She also took in King, which we later learn is the last Titan, but Eda didn’t know this. All Eda knew is that he was a cute little scruffy guy who needed a family. Eventually, she kind of took in Hunter, as well as the rest of their friend group, and was a safe person to go to no matter what. I might be confusing headcanon with canon here, but I definitely headcanon that Eda took in the Blight kids during the Blight parents’ divorce. Personally, I just love her because she’s hot and as a queer kid, I’d feel safe with her. And who doesn’t want that?”
3. “i love her sm”
4. “First of all, Eda wasn't granted a lot of good things: She was cursed (by someone she loved) with an ever worsening illness, she was outcasted and prosecuted from society for not blindly following the rules and conforming. Lots of baggage and trauma. Still when Luz stumbled into human world, she took her in. She taught her magic and how to navigate this world.
She gave her advice and hugged her and reprimanded her. She wasn't an adoptive mom from the start, she grew into the role. She made mistakes, but she was willing to listen to Luz and overthink her behavior. Think of the beginning, when Luz wanted to go to school and Eda didn't want her. In the end she let her go and gave her her full support. She genuinely cared for her even when she was new in her life, and rescued her out of a lot of sticky situations, never left her behind, always ready to risk her life for those she loved.
Also King- She adopted him out of a cave and cared for him like a child even before Luz came. And the cared A LOT. For example, when his crown was took from him, she went on a dangerous mission (plus luz she just met and "used" for that) to retrieve it. Turns out, it was a "burger king" crown, but she did all that because see knew that was important to him. And even though she fears loosing him so much, she still helps him in his search for his real sad.
In conclusion: Outcast who still uses all her resources to give their kids a happy life, an education and a future. She fully supports them (but like a mother also draws a line here and there). She visits school meetings and does paperwork for Luz, she reads stories for them to fall asleep, she goes to Luz' prom, she hides her pain to be strong for them.”
5. “eda “rock, rock, maternal gesture” clawthorne sees a lost child and goes “is anyone gonna take that?” everyone loves a sexy harpy milf whose storyline revolves around living with a disability right. did i mention she’s canon bi and her partner is canon nonbinary do it for them!!”
6. “To Luz:
- She's the first one to take care of Luz on the Boiling Isles, even though for the first episodes she seemed disinterested in her.
- She encouraged Luz to keep finding the glyphs that let her use magic without having a witch's heart gland.
- She did many tasks for Hexside to pay for her childhood pranks just for the principal to let Luz keep studying there after she was expelled.
- She saved Luz's life multiple times, even letting herself be captured by Emperor Belos and almost turned to stone so she could be safe.
(that's just season 1 and start of season 2 because I don't remember anything else)
To King:
- The first episode is them three recovering King's crown, that is just a cardboard "Burger Queen" crown, but Eda still wanted to get it back just because it's important for him.
- There's a flashback to when she found King as a baby in an abandoned tower with a monster that attacks her (that we later discover was just protecting King, love you Jean Luc), and her first reaction is getting him outta there and she went on to raise him by herself.
- There's an episode of King giving her adoption papers and IT'S SO CUTE!!!!”
7. “shes THE accidental mother”
8. “Eda Clawthorne always said she was a terrible influence and took the word “maternal” as an insult. She then proceeded to accidently adopt a sentient demon beast thing, raise him, adopt some human that tripped into her dimension, mentor her, all while being on the run from the tyrannical government. She canonically adopts King in the second season and King and Luz call each other siblings. She also calls them “her kids.” Eda attempts to sacrifice herself for them at many times and tries her best to keep them safe, and is really sad about the fact that they’ll one day leave her to go back to their own families. She puts away her own biases against the school system so that Luz can lead magic. The maternal instincts basically kick her out of nowhere and she goes from a badass, absolute menace to society to badass, absolute menace to society who happens to have two chaos gremlins.”
9. “-King and Luz are very much her children but some people even see her adopting other characters in the show
-She got one child because she found him all alone and was like "guess I have a son now" and got the other one by kinda sorta kidnapping her (she's here of her own free will but she is not supposed to be there and her mom does not know she's there, also in the first episode Eda wouldn't let her go home until she did something for her (the something was actually for King))
-She's a really cool older woman who has a curse that's essentially a chronic illness and a complicated relationship with all her family members
-One time she was going to sacrifice herself but then her ex/future partner stops her because they see a picture of her kids
-In the same episode she thinks that King is going to leave her once he finds his dad but really he wanted to tell her he's changing his name to King Clawthorne”
10. “She's a powerful, funny and badass middle aged witch (a WILF, if you will) and loves her kids so much. She's trying her best to raise King well and basically adopts Luz too after she falls into the Boiling Isles world and can't go back for a long while. Refers to both as her kids & they adore her as well. Best mom 💞”
11. “she is a Mom”
12. “A cursed middle aged witch adopts two children, neither of which are her species. Only one of them was on purpose. She thought the other one was a dog.”
13. “She's hot and awesome”
14. “Her being an adoptive parent wasn't even on her plan, she just likes to defy the government. Oops, now we're a family. Fuck you Emperor Belos!”
15. “She is one of those cool aunt's that act like they don't care much and that sort of hide their emotions, but in reality she really cares. She had adopted like a million children during the show emotionally, and one of them legally. She's had so many children warm up to her quickly and more importantly she's had so many children SHE warmed up to. She's protective of all of them. I love er so much <3”
16. “This champion of a woman, this legend of a lady, continuously and effortlessly picks up children to care for as if her own. Before the events of the main storyline, she has already adopted the *King of Demons* himself. She takes Luz under her wing (ha), much like she takes in numerous other children with the intent of letting them prosper and grow away from responsibilities and duties placed on them by their previous parental figures. She is thirty and flirty and DANG she is a good mother. She casually picks up three more children whilst aiding in a rebellion with the (NON-BINARY) love of her life. Upon meeting the wonderful biological mother of Luz (Camila Noceda), you can see her VISIBLY SWEATING with the insurmountable pressure she feels to make a good first impression after a whopping three seasons of having raised Camila's kid herself. She cares very deeply for these kids and the people they love, and thus I argue she is one of the best serial adopters in history, if not THE best ever. boom mic drop the crowd goes wild”

After the mysterious death of a B-list movie star Juliet Heartwood, people from her past start looking into her case.
After coming back from the death herself, still not having any idea what happened to her, she finds herself in a tangle involving UFO's, psychics and a mining corporation
NOTE: this is kinda rambly, ill answer any asks and stuff that come my way from this ✌
Setting; 1995 Nevada,
Juliet Heartwood, birthname Juliet Barker.
Juliet was a teenage runaway who left home after an altercation with her mom, where she threatened to send her to a private school if she didn't stop doing ''witchcraft'' with Jack. Juliet ended up stealing Jack's car to run away which broke their friendship.
Years later, Juliet was trying to make it as an actress. She found a partner she was happy with, but he died before their son was born. Grief-stricken and broke, barely being able to look after herself and the newborn, she gave custody of her son Lazlo to her ex-SIL.
Juliet ended up reconnecting with her high school friend Aston Morris, and the two began dating seriously.
While Juliet's future seemed to become brighter, with a new partner and getting a role in a rather notable movie, it was cut short due to her getting killed in a strange UFO event.
Jack Gore (he/him trans woman)
Jack is a psychic who was high school friends with Juliet, planning to help her run away from home together, but their plan was scrapped when Juliet outright stole his car.
After cutting ties with Juliet and finding out that his brother Vinny was moving away because he was divorcing, he decided to join him as a supernatural aid, even thought Vinny was a more sceptic type.
Vinny had ended his marriage to the mortician Heather Jason, after in a paranoid state, she had spent the couple's savings on a nuclear bunker after having a vision which Vinny dismissed.
While on his own, Jack met Jo Tamashiro and had a fling with her. While not an official item, he was her partner and a mother to her child, Cabby.
In June 1995, Jack got some of the worst news of his life. Not only was he going to die from liver failure, but that Juliet had died. Despite holding grudges, he wanted to talk to her a one more time.
Before he could even process everything, the Gore PI agency was contacted by Heather, informing them that she had acquired Juliet's body to experiment on a new form of contacting spirits.
While both were hesitant, they agreed to help her with the experiment.
The initial goal of the experiment was just to contact Juliet's spirit by hooking up a modified spirit box to her corpse, but in an unexpected turn, Juliet's spirit attached itself to the body, not quite resurrecting it, but haunting it like a doll.
While Juliet was now back, she had no memory of what happened to her. Just lights.
Before Jack could make it to the house, an alien creature named the Collection attached themselves to Jack. The Collection, a shapeshifting parasitic entity was sent by the mining company MantiCORP heiress, Midge ''Mittens'' Mantis, for unknown purposes why she was so interested in the case.
Despite seeing each other again, the relationship between Juliet and Jack is cold but volatile, both holding resentment and grudges, but being forced to be around each other to solve the case. It doesn't help that there seems to also be other parties after them for unknown reasons.
Aston Morris, despite being cleared of being a suspect in his girlfriend's death, wasn't so cleared with his boss, Mittens.
Years before, Aston had wanted to become an astronaut, but because of some head trauma he gained as a teen, he was kicked from the program. His anger lead him to jail, but he was bailed out by the heiress. She gave him an offer he couldn't refuse; work for me and you can see space.
The job ended up being a corporate spy and a hitman for MantiCORP. He hated every second of actually doing the killing, but he felt like he was in too deep. Back on earth, Aston found success in a sitcom that lead him to be a successful mainstream actor, eventually leading him to stumble into Juliet again.
Mittens is the heiress to the MantiCORP mining company, which she had to fight for due to her family trying to swindle her out of her fortune. She first started with the recruitment of the Collection (experimenting on the assassin behind her father's death) and Becky, who would later become her wife.
Coll was always Mittens' right hand man, but after massive screw up at the job, she demoted them and made Becky their overseer.
After Becky disappeared after a recovery mission, Mittens kept Coll's current position due to the lack of evidence that they had anything to do with it.
While this whole thing is mostly ramble-y, I do plan on elaborating some of this. I am working on the comic version of this, but this is all the lore that hasn't been elaborated on. TY for reading!

The Sweetest Taste | Chapter 17 - Like a Beaten Dog
Tumblr media
When Din Djarin meets a beautiful cake seller from Nevarro, do you think he’s just going to stand back and let her suffer at the hands of her abusive boyfriend? After a lifetime of heartache and pain, Lysa Kane realises she’s not on her own any more and finds an unlikely friend in the Mandalorian. And Din Djarin does not like men who treat women like that, not one tiny bit. Friendship/comfort and maybe something more…
Masterlist
Chapter 17
(Trigger warning: violence and abuse)
----
More than anything in this world, Lysa Kane had wanted to go with Din.
It was him who she dreamed of, the Mandalorian, on quiet nights where she couldn't sleep, her body aching with bruises. Din Djarin, rescuing her from this cruel life…taking her away somewhere to see the stars…to set her free from all this.
But sometimes life was cruel and hard, and dreams like that just didn't happen for people like her.
She knew her choices were stupid. Blindly choosing Crix again, conditioned to believe that he was the only thing she deserved.
Somehow owing him her unconditional loyalty.
Lysa trembled as she followed Crix into their small living space.
The front door sliding shut behind them, had shut out Din.
Shut out the world.
And now Lysa knew what was coming for her. What her fate was to be now she had made her choice to stay with Crix.
Resigning herself to a life getting beaten for every thing she did. No matter how hard she tried to do the right thing. To do what Crix wanted. It would never be good enough.
For a moment out there on the dusty street, Lysa had felt hope…for the first time in a long time. When Din had asked her to go with him. When he had told her that she could leave Crix, and that he would keep her safe.
But then Crix had said the words that had changed everything. Reminding her that if she had left him, then a worse fate would befall Grogu.
And Lysa knew that if anything happened to Crix, then his buddies would ensure that the child and his father would reach a sorry end. It had happened before, to people that had wronged him. Crix had a knack of gaining loyalty and status with the bad crowd. Surrounding himself with men who would be as faithful to him as Lysa was.
There was no way Lysa was going to let that happen to Grogu. That fate.
So she would bare the beatings, the insults, the abuse…if it meant that Grogu would be safe and well, and able to live his life.
Crix had a hold on her now. A dark and cruel hold.
But who was she kidding, he had always had a hold on her. For years now he had latched onto her, refusing to let go, twisting and pinching her, until the roles were reversed and here she was, nothing but an accessory now attached to him. Not even her own person anymore.
Somehow Crix had managed to take everything from Lysa. And yet at the end of the day here she was, still with him, loyal to the end.
Like a beaten dog, running to her owner with her tail still wagging, despite the years of pain he had put her through.
But Din had been that light in her darkness. For the first time in years Lysa had felt something different. Hope, and perhaps something else.
He had been kind and sweet, he made her laugh, and at the end of it all, he had made her feel real again. Like the true Lysa, and not just Crix’s little woman.
But now, the daydream that Din would save her was lost to the ether. She had made her choice.
She knew she must look a fool now to Din Djarin- choosing Crix. The man that caused her so much pain.
But she hadn’t asked Din to come here. Hadn’t asked him to interfere in her life.
And so that had to be it now. That had to be the last time she saw Din.
Not because of Crix or what he would do if she did see him again.  But because she was now the reason her partner had a grudge to bare against a man he wouldn’t know, had it not been for Lysa and her deliveries.
She just couldn’t involve Din in her life anymore. And that was that.
He would be better off without her.
But that didn't mean that inside she didn't still long for the man standing out there on the street, desperate to feel close to him…to feel safe with him.
Her heart aching painfully as she dwelled on the fact that she could never see him again.
Lysa gave a hard swallow as she turned the corner, watching as Crix picked up a rag from the kitchen worktop, holding it to his slightly bloody neck.
He looked seething, and Lysa feared what would come next.
So she tried to get ahead of it by apologising.
“Crix, I’m so sorry,” she said desperately, her body trembling.
She was scared. Utterly terrified of what he was capable of now that Din had done what he had done- trying to help. But Lysa knew that it had only made her life a hundred times worse.
Lysa tried to approach Crix but he merely turned to her scowling.
“So you want to be shacked up with the Mandalorian, huh?” he said in a poisonous voice. He turned, spitting blood onto the floor harshly, before looking back up to her.
“We’re just…friends,” said Lysa quickly, sounding terrified. Getting Din involved in her mess had never been her intention.
“We’re just friends,” uttered Crix in a sudden mocking voice, pulling a face and rounding on her, taking a step into her intimidatingly. “You really think a Mandalorian would want you? The guy’s probably screwing a gal in every port, hard and fast. You really think he’d want a repressed little prude like you?”
He let out a sudden cruel and mocking laugh.
A tear slid down Lysa’s cheek, gazing at the man she had once loved so very much, treating her like dirt.
“You think anyone would want you?” he said in a cruel voice, reaching around her, grabbing her suddenly by her hair.
Lysa gave a yelp, shaking with fear, her breathing shallow in her throat as he tugged her head painfully back by her hair, pressing his face close to hers.
“The only thing you’re good for is getting on your knees and opening your mouth when I tell you to,” he hissed, spittle flying from his mouth onto her cheek. “An’ that Mandalorian…oh he’s gonna pay for what he did to me.”
“Please don't-” Lysa managed.
This wasn't Din’s fight. It was hers. And she knew full well what lengths Crix would go to…what lengths his buddies would go to, to punish Din for what he had done. And she would rather live a lifetime of hurt and pain and degradation than see either Din or Grogu suffer.
But at her words, Crix’s face suddenly turned into a foul grimace, and he let go of her hair, her hand instead slipping to her throat.
And before she knew it, Crix shoved her quickly backwards, her back colliding with the wall behind her with a hard thump.
The back of Lysa’s head hitting the whitewashed stone painfully hard, and for a second she saw stars.
Lysa gave a whimper as she refocused her eyes, her entire body trembling with pure fear, willing herself not to cry. Crying only ever seemed to anger Crix further.
He was angry now, so very angry, his teeth bared dangerously…
…his grip suddenly tightening around her throat, choking all the air from her body.
Lysa’s eyes widened as she tried to gasp for breath unsuccessfully, as Crix pressed his face close to hers.
“If I killed you here and now, no one would care, you know that?” he spat in a cruel voice, as Lysa desperately tried to flail beneath his grasp.
She could feel the life being choked from her, black spots appearing before her eyes, as she gaped at the air like a fish.
“You're nothing but an insignificant woman,” Crix continued now, but his voice sounded distant, Lysa’s being snuffed out with no way of stopping him. “And at the end of the day, I don't think anyone would even notice you were gone.”
And with that, just as Lysa felt herself losing consciousness, Crix suddenly let go of her throat, walking away from her in utter disgust, allowing her to slip to the floor, her legs unsteady.
Lysa gave an audible gasp, sucking in a breath, as the world seemed to come into view again, in vivid colour now. She was alive.
But this didn't feel like living.
Not anymore.
She felt like a ghost now. Slipping into a world only meant for people like her, people made to stay in the shadows. Not allowed to live the same life others were granted.
Lying in a heap on the ground Lysa let out the smallest of sobs, as tears splashed down her cheeks, landing on her knees…
…resigning herself to the fact that she would never escape this cruel and painful life, purely reserved for her.

Bluebird Reading List
Well, I've shuffled off from twitter and what better first post than to bring the reading list with me?
But who is Bluebird?
Harper Row AKA Bluebird is a member of the Batfamily. She grew up in The Narrows, Gotham City's poorest neighbourhood, with a deadbeat criminal absentee father, a hardworking loving mother and the cutest baby brother she could ever hope for. After Batman saved the lives of her and her brother, Cullen, from a homophobic hate crime, she endeavoured to become Batman's partner, offering her gift of mechanical engineering to his services by improving his CCTV scramblers. After some pushback from the Dark Knight, he reluctantly agreed to take her on as a partner, though her identity as Bluebird would be formed on her own much later, when an attack from the Mad Hatter rendered Cullen comatose and she took matters into her own hands to save him.
Under the break is a fully detailed reading list of all appearances that will spoil some plot elements, but this is the short version. The best thing about Harper is also the worst thing: she's got nothing. Her major appearances amount to a grand total of four books:
Batman Eternal - the first book she has something of a starring role in. It sets into canon her personality and skill set, which started off as a mechanical engineer and then James Tynion IV, main writer on Eternal, switched it to hacking very abruptly. Presumably this was because she was being partnered up with Tim Drake and they had to show she wasn't useless. I have my issues with this but I'll get mad later.
Batman & Robin Eternal - continuing on, Harper returns in her supporting role, an opportunity that is exploited to explore her backstory and solidify the first moment she truly got to be a hero.
Punchline - the first issue of Punchline was a standalone, the rest of the book got turned into a backup story in The Joker (which was actually a good book, you should read it). By far her worst appearance. Everything Tynion did in the Eternal books with Harper, he just shredded all of it. She's been written as utterly incompetent just to make Punchline look better and the only times she gets to do something is a bit of DIY and the very end of the book. Just insulting characterisation.
Punchline: The Gotham Game - and somehow that shit got a sequel too. Solicits just came out and she will indeed be making her reappearance in Gotham Game #3.
And now, the full reading list.
Tumblr media
First is the People In The Dark backup* from Batman (2011) #25. This is a story from Harper's childhood, and displays how she first got into engineering, along with some relationship work between her and Cullen.
*If you've found this reading list because you're new to comics and are looking for characters to get into, a backup, or b-story, is an unrelated, or only tangentially related, short story that you can find after the main plot of the comic.
Tumblr media
Next is Batman (2011) #12, titled Ghost In The Machine. Fun fact (but also a sad fact), this issue was drawn by Becky Cloonan, the first woman to ever do art for a Batman story. This issue marks the first time Harper saves Batman's life and her first meeting with the Dark Knight!
Tumblr media
Batman (2011) #7 - The Talons Strike! - is Harper's very first appearance! Batman escapes the Court Of Owls' labyrinth and dies from exhaustion and physical and mental torture. Harper drags his body out of the river and saves his life a second time by restarting his heart with a car battery and jumper cables.
Tumblr media
Resolve is the story told in Batman (2011) #18. Harper begins training herself (I like to headcanon she used fighting game moves), donning her black stealth suit and homemade gear and Batman breaks her nose for it, partly still lashing out from the mental torture the Court Of Owls put him through, partly because he doesn't want to see any more good kids enter this life. Not one to be set back by a mere Batbop however, she yells at him and gives him some much needed tough love to put him right.
Tumblr media
Shadows And Ghosts (Detective Comics (2011) #21) is Harper's next appearance, chronologically. Batman has since confiscated her gear and she fills us in on what she's been up to since.
Not much happens.
Tumblr media
Batman Eternal! Starting from #5 in which she saves Vicki Vale's life and meets Red Robin for the first time, Harper appears consistently throughout, beginning first in her starter gear that Batman returned to her after the events in Detective Comics. From #15 onwards, she switches to a prototype suit with a mask that I believe to be an homage to Cole Cash AKA Grifter, one of the main characters of the Wildstorm Universe, which was later acquired by DC, and another favourite of mine. Harper's prototype mask is a carbon copy of Cole's but coloured light blue in place of the con man's red. She dons the first real Bluebird costume in #41. Most are minor appearances amounting to just a page or two but if you want specific issues, she can be found in issues 5, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 19, 25, 36, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 48, 49, 50, 51 and 52.
Tumblr media
In issues 48-50, she can be seen battling Mr. Freeze in a handful of panels!
Tumblr media
Batman Eternal tells Harper's story as she grows into a hero and becomes Bluebird. Like most of her decisions, she decided to do this because she loves Cullen, her baby brother, and wanted to help him, though wanting to help Batman too was a strong part of it.
Tumblr media
I should also mention that Batman (2011) #28 is a teaser for Batman Eternal called Gotham Eternal. It tells the same event as Batman Eternal #43, the script and art are just changed in Batman Eternal for reasons beyond my comprehension.
In this, Bluebird and Batman break into The Egyptian club.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Though published after Batman & Robin Eternal had begun, Bluebird's cameos in Batgirl (2011) #47 and #50 is set before the events of that story. Bluebird is recommended to Batgirl by Stephanie as a communications and electronics whiz, then she helps Batgirl when Barbara's enemies decide to group up on her. Bluebird is tasked with the apprehension of Killer Moth.
Tumblr media
Much like Batman Eternal, Batman & Robin Eternal has Bluebird show up consistently in the run, this time starting right from #1. Again, a lot of 1-3 page appearances but the specific Harper issues are 1-5, 7-14, 17-20, 22 and 24-26. Issues 7 and 8 feature a scene with Cassandra Cain (now Batgirl, but under the ridiculous Orphan moniker at the time) that may or may not be able to be read as a date between the two.
Tumblr media
Batman & Robin Eternal expands on the set up in Batman Eternal, with Bluebird's arc focusing on who she is as a person and adding some extra depth to her personality. In this run, we get to see more of her childhood and even meet her mother, Miranda!
Tumblr media
We revisit Harper in Detective Comics (2016) #943-946 and #950. She has since hung up the jacket and shock rifle, and is volunteering in Leslie Thompkins' clinic, believing she can do more good as Harper Row than Bluebird. In #945, we get canon confirmation of her bisexuality!
Tumblr media
Four years and a million Batman books later, Harper is forced to pick up her rifle again as Gotham's latest two-bit Joker knock-off comes begging for attention in Punchline #1. With Cullen spiralling further and further into Alexis' toxic ideology, she's got to save her brother once more.
Tumblr media
Demoted from a solo to a continuous B-story in The Joker (2021) after just one issue (lol lmao etc), Harper starts to panic as she realises how fast Punchline sympathisers are dragging Cullen onto their bandwagon. Now she has to investigate Punchline as Bluebird and assist Leslie Thompkins to help keep her behind bars in court.
Tumblr media
Solicits just came out and Bluebird will reappear this December in Punchline: The Gotham Game #3 and she will be teaming up with NIghtwing.
Tumblr media
Now, this is not the end of Harper's tale, chronologically speaking. In Batman (2011) #35, Bluebird makes a cameo in a hypothetical dystopian future with a cool new high tech suit. For all intents and purposes, until we get something in the primary canon, this alternate future is the last chapter of Bluebird's story.
Tumblr media
Harper also appears in the WWII AUs Bombshells and Bombshells United, which sit outside the chronology... I got too tired to look for specific issues cause there's like three of em and Bombshells ran for 100 but she is a mechanic who forms a team of Batgirls with Nell Little and Kathy Duquesne after Batwoman leaves Gotham!
I sincerely hope you enjoy reading Batman Eternal and Batman & Robin Eternal, because this little blue bisexual means a heck of a lot to me, and I'd love to share her with all of you, but please, do not start shipping her with Punchline. Enemies to lovers is a trope that requires a certain level of nuance, and they do not have it.

Glimmer teleports off-world to stop Prime from using The Heart AU
It needs a catchier name, I know. But we're posting this for canon divergent.
Short version: Glimmer teleported off-world to stop Prime from using The Heart, is assume dead, and when they find her years later she doesn't remember them... or does she?
Tumblr media
Long version
This AU I came up with right after the finale and I am not entirely sure it makes sense (because of how Prime basically hacks into the Heart of Etheria, the planet no longer needs to be balanced so it wouldn't matter if all the princesses were there or not) but just go with it for a minute.
The idea was, things in space happen differently so we never rescue Glimmer and therefore she never sees that her friends forgive her. When they get back to Etheria, Prime is about to set off the Heart of Etheria and destroy everything so Glimmer, as a way to make amends for trying to set it off in the first place and because she thinks her friends can never forgive her, teleports herself as far away as she possibly can, off the planet entirely, so it's no longer balanced. But she uses up all her power doing and is out of the range of the moonstone, so she can't come back.
It works, buying the rebellion enough time for Adora and Catra to do their thing at the heart, but when Glimmer never returns, everyone assumes she's dead. She's hailed as a hero, her sacrifice memorialized.
(It's occurring to me as I write this that this is a lot like my Bow stays at the library AU but with the roles reversed)
Years later, what remains of the best friend squad is doing their mission to restore magic, visiting planets but Bow is obsessed, keeps coming up with more places he wants them to go. Adora and Catra are ready to stop the space travel and start settling down but they know what he's doing even if he denies it: looking for Glimmer. One more mission, they allow, but then he needs to face that she's gone, start being present in the life he does have (he's seeing someone who is looking for him to make a commitment and he's been using the search for Glimmer as an excuse to not deal with the fact that he isn't really in love with him).
They go to the last planet, She-Ra heals it. They usually stick around for a while, mentor anyone who suddenly has unexpected magic powers. People usually come to them but Bow finds an unexpectedly strong magic signal out in the middle of nowhere so he goes to it and gets attacked by someone, getting knocked unconscious. When he wakes, he's inside a small house and the person tending to his injury is Glimmer! Except she shows no sign of remembering him at all and is very clearly with someone, the woman who attacked him.
Eventually Catra and Adora come to find Bow, also meet Glimmer, and want to bring her home with them but she refuses to go, saying she doesn't remember any of them. Except Bow is increasingly suspecting she is only pretending, afraid to go home because she thinks she still isn't forgiven for what happened with the Heart.
Anyway, long story short, they convince her to come home with them for other reasons (her partner needs something from Etheria) and it becomes harder and harder for her to deny that she remembers and that her friends do forgive her (she just doesn't forgive herself). Her and Bow get closer (she's staying at his place) until one night she accidentally says something that blows her cover. It leads into a fight and then an accidental confession of feelings and them hooking up / cheating on their partners (who aren't even canon characters so f 'em for being in the way of my OTP😤).
Glimmer panics and bails but then it turns out her partner was pulling a shady deal (the details of which I cannot remember and I cannot find my notes for 😂) and ends up going back to stop her. Bow breaks up with his partner bc it isn't fair to them when he's in love with Glimmer even though they think they'll never see Glimmer again... but she saved just enough magic that she teleports back in time for Catra and Adora's wedding where her and Bow dance and decide to try to figure out how to pick up where they left off.
(I originally called this the "No Ship AU" because it had something to do with us never getting Darla but I don't remember why that was important so I left it out.)

SVU Lawyers & Kids
Tumblr media
Alex is a hit or miss with kids, sometimes she forgets to diminish her vocabulary and just ends up confusing the fuck out of an 8 year old. She’s not particularly fond of babies, they’re loud, they’re messy, they can’t articulate what it is they need/want from you. With kids she can be super soft, we all saw how gentle she was with Antonio in ‘Ghost’ like, oof Mama Alex vibes all the way. And the way in ‘Juvenile’ how she doesn’t want to prosecute the case, and would much rather take it to family court. With teenagers, she’s got a strict hand, you can’t tell me that Alex would let her kids get away with much, but she’d always let them argue their points out much like they would in a court room. Every sleepover/party is a mock debate in the Cabot household. She definitely sets up trust funds for each of her kids, they grow up with money but not privileged, Alex wants them to experience the world and work for themselves. In all reality though, I don’t see Alex as one who really wants kids, she’s busy gallivanting around the globe, working in the Congo, saving victims of domestic violence and abuse, she’s focused on her cause and making the world a better place.
Tumblr media
Casey’s a little awkward with kids, she’s never quite sure how to act, especially when they’ve been a victim in a horrible crime. And it’s even worse when they’re the perp, especially when age comes into play and she has to take a case to Supreme Court when she truly believes they should be tried in family court. Somehow though kids just find themselves drawn to her so she kinda just has to deal with it. She definitely thinks teenagers are the fucking worst, you can see it in her face that she’s literally doing everything in her power to not roll her eyes when dealing with them. I think she’d be down with either having kids or not, but leave the choice up to her partner.
Tumblr media
Liz Donnelly has a soft side that not a lot of people get to see. If she has kids, she’s soft AF, but also strict, making sure they’re kept in line and she doesn’t have to ever see them in the wrong side of a court room. She prefers dealing with adults, or young adults, teenagers are often too rambunctious/annoying & entitled for her to care about. She is however, the worlds softest Gramma fucking ever. 100% spoils those grand babies like no tomorrow, lets them get away with EVERYTHING, she definitely gets them hooked on expensive scotch & wine when they’re like, 16 and should be drinking vodka coolers.
Tumblr media
I think the moment when Liv gets him to hold Noah speaks for itself lololol. He has NO idea how to deal with babies/toddlers, they’re worlds away from his life. He works better around older kids, playing the ‘Uncle Rafa’ role fairly well, he’s definitely not your first call when you need a babysitter, but when it’s a last resort he’s always welcome to help out, even more likely to say yes if all he has to do is suffer through a Disney movie and then put the kid to bed. I don’t see him wanting his own kids, he’s constantly working, late nights, long hours, he doesn’t think it’d be fair to kids/a family at all, and would hate to leave a burden like that practically entirely on his partner. He’s also scared of turning into his own father, his childhood was rough enough he doesn’t want to recreate that on another human. When it comes to SVU cases involving kids, he’s incredibly happy when Pippa shows up to prosecute them so he doesn’t have to.
Tumblr media
Which brings us to Pippa herself, canologically she has kids, and considering she’s a child’s advocacy lawyer, she obviously has a soft spot for them. She’s very caring and loving to kids, especially younger ones, often showering them with cuddles and snuggles. She’s passionate about kids, she always knew she wanted to be a mom, even with a full time gig as a lawyer. I’d like to think she’s a fair and compromising Mom.
Tumblr media
Rita’s 100% the rich, cool, and definitely slightly chaotic Aunt at family gatherings. She has ZERO interest in having her own children, they’re loud, they’re sticky, they break things. And this girl lives in Versace, Dior, and the like, she’s a bad ass classy woman. While playing the fun Aunt though she prefers teenagers/young adults, ones that she can have reasonable conversations with, she definitely is the one sneaking them wine at family gatherings and taking them on shopping sprees on the weekends, spoiling them with luxury brands. She can definitely be kind, supportive and caring with them at any age, but like, a baby isn’t going to impress her, she certainly isn’t going to hold it, god forbid it pukes on her $1000+ suit.
Tumblr media
Peter’s surprisingly good with kids, it almost comes as a natural instinct to him, a lot of it probably stemming from helping his sister when their parents weren’t around. He’s a natural care giver with her, so it translates into being around kids too. He’s a bit better with boys, going the obvious baseball/sport route to bond. I don’t know why but he does give off major Dad vibes (once he’s calmed down from his partying ways) like, he’s definitely the one out in the back yard chasing them around, playing catch/tag/letting them climb all over him in fits of laughter. The kids 100% have him wrapped around their little fingers, you definitely come home from work one night to find the living room destroyed in a bomb ass pillow fort with literally EVERY single pillow and blanket from around the house, half empty boxes of pizza on the floor while each kid has their own tub of ice cream to munch on while they marathon through Disney+
Tumblr media
Sonny Carisi is DEFINITELY the most kid friendly out of all of them, we’ve seen it multiple times when he plays ‘Uncle Sonny’ both with kids of the squad and at work. He comes from a big family, he wants a big family and can’t wait to find a sweet partner to settle down with. He’s the softest, most overly affectionate, loving and caring parent/towards kids. He’s big on wanting to protect them after all the horrors he’s seen in the world of SVU. He’s good with all ages, taking the baby years like a champ all the way up until the kids are moving out and going to college. He’s the most supportive of how they lead their lives, even if his Catholic upbringing means he doesn’t understand certain choices, he’s definitely the one researching up on it all night so he can understand it and relate to the kids on a good level and help them through things

Partner in crime
Some people argue if there is room for Amy or Rouge in the next film, pinning them against each other.
I say why not both.
Maybe they can be introduced at the same time like tails and knuckles but with a twist. They’re both very familiar with each other in fact they are partners in crime and sisters. They don't always see eye to eye (Rouge being comfortable with their lives as thieves while Amy wants a different life) but they care about each other and always get the job done. That is until they get separated when trying to steal the master emerald from team sonic.
Amy gets captured by Sonic and the gang, while Rouge gets taken in by G.U.N or Dr. Eggman(or Agent stone, not sure if Jim Carry is returning or not). Rouge at first uses Shadow and others to her advantage to get back what is hers, the emerald, and her little sister. She later bonds with Shadow (and later Knuckles) but both are too dead set on what they want. Amy, on the other hand, realizes there's something bigger going on and it's her time to change her path. She also bonds with the gang (especially sonic), earth, and the people of earth/green hills. She eventually can't see herself leaving this planet especially when it needs their help.
When they meet again (maybe G.U.N or Eggman capture Amy for Rouge) Rouge feels betrayed due to Amy not wanting to finish the job and leave earth to fend off their own problems. Rouge just wants things to go back to normal while Amy wants things to be different (she wants to help others). Some things are said between them that shouldn't have been said and Amy is left alone in containment until the job is done.
Shadow checks up on Amy to make sure she doesn’t try anything funny but in reality, he can't stand seeing her upset for some reason. Mistaking Shadow for Sonic (the room is dark no Amy is blind jokes please😑) thinking she was saved she rush in for a hug. Shadow freezes but can't help but smile at the comforting yet familiar feeling. Before he could put together what that feeling was, Amy pushes Shadow away realizing her mistake (when she gets a better look at him in the light). Shadow is left shocked because; 1. She was able to push Him and 2. she look more embarrassed and apologetic rather than scared of him. He's again shocked when she asks if he’s ok. He tells her he's fine and let slip that he is just used to other seeing him as a monster or weapon. Amy argues that he's not a monster or weapon but shadow ignores her and asks why she's not afraid. Amy rushes in to give him another hug and tells him "All I see is another hedgehog like me who wrap up in something they can't control but you have the power to change that. And someone who needs more hugs than I can count." Shadow leaves Amy to continue "his" mission but Amy's word linger in his mind. (this unintentionally turned into a Shadamy moment👀).
Eventually Rouge learns to let Amy go and that there’s bigger enemies to fry when she encounters Knuckles again (he knocked some sense into her😭).
(this doesn't mean her thieving days are through😉).
Amy has her scene with a Shadow.
The day is saved (not sure if Shadow will die or not👀)
Rouge and Amy probably would go their separate ways. Amy joins the team and stays in green hills while Rouge travels to earth to see what other jewels they have to offer.
I think this way would allow the film to switch between what going on with Amy (and sonic heroes) and Rouge (shadow and the villains). Hopefully, they would have balance screen time this way.
Bonus:
When team Sonic had Amy captive I think it would be funny if they played good and bad cop. Sonic fails at both roles because he’s too excited about meeting another hedgehog that technically didn’t try to kill him.
Knuckles: Hedgehog we are not here to mingle, you need to play your part to find out what they are plotting.😡
Sonic: Hey! you wouldn’t be any better at this if we got the bat instead! I saw the way you looked at her.😙😜
Knuckles:😳😡
Amy:🤨
Tails:🤦‍♂️
Later when things are patched up between Rouge and Amy
Rouge: If you put in the good word for me with Big Red over there I'll get you set with Blue.😏
Amy: ROUGE!😳😡
Rouge: 😉

The Plot Synopses of The UnTitledverse Masterpost
Note: May update over time. TW: A few possible lackluster descriptions.
The Perfect Storm saga
Jurassic World: Before The Storm (Jurassic World) - Lisa Cobalt finds herself in a predicament; she is the legal guardian to her foster brother, Joaquin, but cannot financially support him and herself. That is, until an opportunity to fill the role of a paleo-veterinarian at the marvelous Jurassic World presents itself. However, not is all as it seems. When an abnormal dinosaur makes a sudden appearance, it brings with it mistrust among the staff, and a conspiracy that shrouds an inevitable doom. Life gifts lessons and fortune. Those who do not heed these lessons are fools bound to repeat history.
A Blast In The Past - In 1936, you return to your old workplace at Carmine Studios, your old partner wanting to have a reunion. What you did not anticipate was the darkness that welled up from the consequences of your departure. Live or die, trust or betray, kill or be killed, again and again, follow the path laid out for you, and dwell in the regret of crossing me.
FNAF: Ask Goldie Anything (Five Nights At Freddy's) - Goldie and the Fazbear Gang (both the Originals and the Toys) are asked questions by the readers on Wattpad, AO3, Tumblr and fanfiction net (and possibly more), influencing the plot into varying directions. Based on Grawolfquinn's FNAF comic Ask Goldie Anything, but with a twist.
Adapt To Survive (Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous) - Left behind on Isla Nublar, Joaquin Cobalt traverses the years spent on the dinosaur populated island, with the reluctant help of an industrialist by the name of Edward Carmine. Indo recovers from his fight with the Indominus, grieving the loss of his pack.
Jurassic World: Into The Eye Of The Storm (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) - Isla Nublar is on the brink of a volcanic destruction, so when mercenaries make their way to the island to collect the dinosaurs, Joaquin, Edward and Indo take separate paths to get off the burning island. All these paths lead them to the same Manor on the Mainland.
The Tale Of Mario Emmet (FNAF: The Silver Eyes) - Charlie and her friends return to Hurricane, Utah for the memorial of Michael Brooks and the children who went missing at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. When exploring the old pizzeria, they discover the ruined building is being used as a nest... and the creature is not too far away.
The Aftermath Equation (Jurassic World) - Evading death once more and tying up loose ends, Edward Carmine traces his obsession to the Dolomite Mountains of Italy, in the Biosyn Sanctuary run by Lewis Dodgson. He offers his services and funding. Meanwhile, Maisie learns more about the Joaquin who saved her.
The Adventures of Debra Holmes And Her Amazing Space Friend Mario Emmet - Set before The Tale Of Mario Emmet, in 1988, a Texan girl by the name of Debra Holmes makes the discovery of an alien shapeshifter who she refers to as "Mario Emmet" taking residence on her homestead. The beginning of a wholesome and tragic friendship, both human and alien have the time of their lives while Mario hides away from the U.S Government.
SPECIALS - A novelisation of a roleplay (that I have yet to make), in which the plot is not a priority and is merely a fun and chaotic celebration of several holidays hosted by Calvin Dearing... right?
The Dark Awakening - The sequel to A Blast In The Past, you have had enough with the narrator's torment and venture to break the cycle out of the purgatory he's left you in. A battle between first-person POV and second-person POV, hoping to finally reach third-person POV.
Jurassic World: The Perfect Storm (Jurassic World: Dominion) - The finale to the Jurassic World arc, Edward makes his final move to uncover the Aftermath Equation from the mechanical beast that keeps knowledge within itself, in order to evade death once more. It is up to Joaquin and Maisie to not only sabotage Edward, but also ruin Lewis Dodgson and Biosyn's plans until help arrives.
Honour Thy Father (Transformers Prime) - After a botched mission that held uncertain revelations, Autobot Arcee ventures across Earth to figure out her origins, with the aid of a droid by the name of Timekeeper, whose Time Watch had fallen into enemy hands.

Trust In Us (TFP) - The Autobots are lured to a possible energon lab buried underneath the Grand Canyon. The Decepticons had also followed the lab's signal, engaging in combat when meeting the Autobots. Decepticon Communications Officer Soundwave manages to enter the lab first, with Arcee hot on his heels. Events take a turn for the worse, as both Autobot and Decepticon find themselves locked inside a stronghold that's sole purpose was not to create energon, but keep mechanical horrors from reaching the surface. And they have the capacity to deceive.

However, she finds her half-sister, Sam, had taken lead in the expeditions after Robin's absence, and went missing for some time. To find out the truth, she has to go deeper in the cold, dark depths of the treacherous ocean... where she discovers secrets under the ice.

KAT KAT KAT i am shaking u gently and telling u u have such a Big Brain for making those SDC OC and agents of dio OC ask games AAAAAAA sending u 2 asks for Shay!! 💕
3.) Was your OC ever fleshbudded? If so, was it ever removed?
5.) Does your OC have a significant fight (or multiple) against the Crusaders? Do they team up with any other agents or is it a solo thing? Alternatively, if your OC isn’t a fighter, do they have any significant role to make up for it?
WHSWHSWSH thank u sof!! ;v; i wish i could've added more onto the agents one but i just know i'm gonna think of more i could've added later JGNBJ

3.) Was your OC ever fleshbudded? If so, was it ever removed?
in my main canon, no, shay was never fleshbudded. she was wary of dio at first, but never unloyal enough to warrant a bud. i have an old au i need to dig up sometime from around the time i first created her where she was budded and went to india with hol horse for his first appearance. her stand is insanely useful when teamed up with the right partner, and hol horse's emperor is a perfect example. this au has two outcomes — either dio wins and the part ends a LOT sooner, or hol horse hightails it and leaves her there with the crusaders like 🧍‍♀️ FJGNBJK it's an au because i thought of it way before she had any real role in the part, but now that she does, it's been sidelined to an au.
5.) Does your OC have a significant fight (or multiple) against the Crusaders? Do they team up with any other agents or is it a solo thing? Alternatively, if your OC isn’t a fighter, do they have any significant role to make up for it?
oh man... buckle up, because this is going to be LONG. the quick answer is yes, shay has one significant fight against the crusaders, but she also alters the mansion fight in ways i'd have to draw to thoroughly explain, but tenore sax isn't automatically disabled, plus avdol lives! so there's that. her only solo fight takes place after the hol horse incident, and taking boingo back to the airport to get him on a flight back to aswan, because she's pissed off at that point and decides to go after them herself. shay insists that boingo lets her see thoth to get an idea of what to do, even though she's already setting herself up for failure because he won't be there with her, so she won't know what to do next. i haven't written very much about the actual fight so far, but it'd be around the area where the crusaders are waiting for the beggar to find the mansion, while iggy is fighting pet shop. shay being shay is too headstrong to think about the ramifications of going after five big ass dudes all by herself, and needless to say it doesn't end well for her. also since she gets thrown into the nile, i thought it'd be funny if she gets thrown in close to where iggy surfaces after escaping petshop and she's like "wtf is that a dog" not realizing what dog that is before swimming to save him... JKNGFBKJF i know this doesn't really answer the question, but i'll definitely be posting about it when i figure it out ;w;

Best Cassie Bad-Assery Analysis
Cassie has had no shortage of badass scenes in this show but only one can be the best and y'all decided here that that was the scene where Cassie killed Kevin and I have to say that I agree.
Given the explosiveness of 3x15, it's not surprising that the moment Cassie took out Kevin for good stuck out in people's minds. Not only was this a cathartic scene to watch (even if we wish Kevin had lived), but this was a major character moment for Cassie and the resolution of her big arc. Let's talk a little about that.
When Cassie was first introduced, she was on the hunt for her partner, Miles, who everyone else believed to be dead. Despite even her own captain telling her to let the case go, she never did. She had a gut instinct feeling that he was still alive. She only backed down when she was told that there was evidence that Miles was, in fact, dead in 2x14 ("No Such Thing as Fair Play).
Of course, we later learned that she was right about this all along. Miles was alive, and in very deep trouble, and he needed her help. Her finally picking up a gun again to save Miles from Grey flag in 2x19 was my personal favorite badass moment from her.
But I digress.
This pattern of Cassie believing she's right about something/someone wholeheartedly only to be told by other people that she's wrong so much that she starts to doubt herself is something that repeats itself a few times in season 3. It starts with James constantly shutting down her ideas and theories on how to find Cordell in 3x01-3x02 (chasing down the lead with Sean, talking to Miles), only for her ideas to lead to them finding Cordell. Then, she meets Kevin and immediately thinks he's untrustworthy, only to have Trey and Cordell tell her repeatedly that he's a good guy until she eventually starts to doubt her instincts and decides to give him a chance. And then we learn that he's a domestic terrorist set on murdering her partner.
In all three of these instances, Cassie was right from the very beginning but had her ideas shut down by everyone around her, only for it to be revealed that she was right. Cassie may be very outspoken but she also puts a lot of faith and trust in the people around her and is willing to override her own instincts if they disagree. She let them take control of the situation, removing any agency she had in the situation. Until she finds out she was right all along.
Her killing Kevin is not only cathartic revenge for how much he hurt her with his deceit but also a way for Cassie to assert control over the situation. She let things get out of control when she decided to trust Trey and Cordell's words over her own instincts, but now she's taking direct action to solve the problem.
On top of all this, it's an excellent callback to last season and a role reversal to boot. In season 2, Cassie was looking for Miles and Cordell was able to find him for her. Now, in season 3, Cordell was looking for the man who was trying to kill him, and Cassie was able to finish the problem for him.
And ultimately, this scene is part of what made the series arc so great. because everything with Grey Flag and Kevin and Cooper stopped being just about Cordell and it all became part of Cassie's arc as well.
It's about how Cordell's past came back to him in the worst way AND about how the people around Cassie took advantage of her ignorance/naiveity to get their way. It's about how Cordell rose above his past and came out a better person AND about how Cassie learned to trust herself first and take control of the situation. All of that culminates in this scene.

Our OCs for this storyline are still WIPs but here's the overall concept of the characters and story-ish
The Web is a big player in this story, an avatar of the Web[placeholder name: The Weaver] has been given the ability to influence pregnancies into being twins, utilizing this ability ties the resulting children to two Fears as well as sets each as a target for another. Whether the Weaver has control of what fears get tied/targeted or not is tbd. [Possible backstory with someone who is No Longer With Us™ that gave themselves to the Vast willingly. Has a tendency to walk by the ocean to feel close to them]
The twins[the Woven] are as follows:
The Blank Twin[Lonely aligned/Slaughter targeted]: Flat affect to an unsettling degree. Just... nothing there... That is until its late at night years after they drop out of college and they wake up shortly after falling asleep, and realize they were living in a fog that was suppressing everything about them. They pass out a couple of hours later and when they wake up, the quickly are overcome by the fog they escaped. This becomes a regular pattern shortly for them and they become an insomniac in an attempt to keep their identity. Once this happens they realize their sister is right about what is going on and begin to rebel. [I AM HERE, I AM ME, I AM] "Reflects" others in a way that makes the target start to lose their identity[this ability may surface later in their story, possibly after a short "fall from grace" where they willingly align themselves with their tied Fear]
The Knowing Twin[Eye aligned/Corruption targeted]: First of the Woven to find out about the Fears. Willingly aligns herself out of a twisted perception of control. Abusively controlling of her sibling in an attempt to keep them safe. [If we play along we can just live our lives, it doesn't matter who gets hurt] Has the ability to know what will cut the deepest emotionally, and has a tendency to lash out with it when feeling insecure [which is frequently]. Once she fully steps into her role under the eye she gains occasional premonitions, as well as remote viewing at will. Obsessed with gathering information about the Fears in an attempt to save her and her sibling.
The Burnt Twin[Desolation aligned/Spiral targeted] (former)Member of the Cult of the Lightless Flame. Can 'see' peoples potential, which led him to the Blank Twin. Is able to 'see' the fog they are under, as well as realize there us more there. Musician, former band mate of the Feral Twin. Rebellious by nature, both fueling and fueled by the Blank Twin's rebellion. Paranoid and insecure about his worth[can't see his own potential] hopeless romantic
The Rotting Twin[Corruption aligned/Stranger targeted] Obsessive narcissist, chronic victim[literally obsessed with being abused], infatuation with the Knowing Twin and doesn't understand why she keeps getting turned away. Seeks out abusive partners to get her 'fix', feels like a drug to her. Furious about her brother"s involvement in the cult as well as his exit from it. Thinks he is flakey and inconsistent [which he kind of is]. Long term abusive friendship with the Mad Twin
The Wrong Twin[Stranger aligned/Lonely targeted(overcomes this with the Blank Twin's help)] Experienced the effects of his targeting from a very young age, born disfigured and othered as a result. Isolated and neglected by his family, demonized by his sister the Mad Twin. Joins the Blank Twin in their 'rebellion' after finally feeling accepted. Extreme self esteem issues.
The Mad Twin[Spiral aligned/Eye targeted/(eventually) Lonely targeted] Complete lack of empathy, highly manipulative and ruthlessly cruel. Doesn't see others as people, only as tools. She thinks she's in control of the narrative/story but is sorely mistaken. Thinks she's the mastermind of this whole ordeal. 'Manipulated' the Knowing Twin into telling her all that she found out about the situation, or so she thinks. Toys with the Rotting Twin for fun
The Feral Twin[Slaughter aligned/Hunt targeted] Famous musician with a violent streak, always seems to get out of trouble/allegations. Pisses off his brother because of his tendency to put his penchant for violence on display in grand scale.
The Stalking Twin[Hunt aligned/Desolation targeted] Obsessive serial killer, stalker, and all around Stand Up Guy™. Keeps a low profile and takes great pride in his stalking abilities. Prefers sniping/'clean' kills but has a tendency to lose control when under stress [which because of his brother is pretty often] and thats when things get messy. Despite his insistence that he prefers the controlled methodology, he deeply enjoys letting loose and hates that it is so contrary to what needs to happen for him to stay a free man.
Relationships will be a separate post ^_^ will go more in depth as the characters are fleshed out more.
