9. eye-to-eye hugs for Alyra?
Hello!
Sorry for being so late, stress from a long year caught up with me and I took a week of holiday to recuperate.
Hope it’ll be nice enough to compensate, and thanks for asking Alyra! She’s actually Yzma in her youth days. A polyamorous Yzma scared shitless by Broodmothers. Really, she went on like a train, grumbling and phased not much by anything… She saw the Broodmother and went “NOPE.” (Alistair had to grab her by the neck of her armour and physically turn her around).
Tis the prompt list.
Heart of a Poet.
9. eye-to-eye hugs
There were few things, in the palace, that could actually surprise the Empress’ Occult Advisor.
Oh, adapting had been quite the feat, and she thoroughly hated the whole of it. The fakeness, people never meaning what they want to say, from the masks down to the very lane of rose bushes, cared to the littlest budding leaves, where she was walking right now. Nature shouldn’t be confined and controlled: it was an illusion, as much as the whole of the Court.
A carefully, meticulously upkept illusion ready to burst at the first little prodding.
But as much as she hated it, she had to stay: for she knew the Eluvian maze lead her to Orlais and Val Royeaux. To what end, exactly, she couldn’t yet see, and the key to control it was nowhere to be found, or kept carefully secret in some area of the Winter Palace she hadn’t yet discovered. But it was, indeed, the perfect place to gather informations, as much as some unrest was brewing, and Kieran was happy with the library at least. Most importantly, it would have been the very last place anyone who remotely knew her would look for.
As much as she hated the Game, and frankly found the Empress a conniving opportunist that embodied all the worst a vulture stood for in popular belief, that day Morrigan was surprised.
Growing up in woods and wilds, running its paths as predator and prey, she knew when she was followed. She knew a predatory stare on her neck when she felt it, and that was one.
She never liked turning into any prey animals, it left her uneasy in her skin. She had to change the game: she turned left and right, guiding her pursuer in a secluded clearing that was outside of the palace’s windows and, conveniently, was too wide to follow a person without being seen.
She reached the small gazebo in the centre and abruptly turned around, to spot…
Nothing at all, for she was perfectly, blissfully alone with herself and her thoughts.
Weird.
A worthy predator, then, succeeding in having her fooled?
There were, indeed, two people her mind ran to. The first, she didn’t want to think of and it sent a shiver of dread and rage in equal measure down her spine. For the second, her thought ran to a day in the Frostbacks, the winter sun cutting sharp like it was today through pines and conifers, as she ran and was chased. It brought a smile on her face.
It couldn’t be. It wasn’t safe to assume it was the second option.
She didn’t want to fool herself any further.
Not yet.
In any case, it was worth knowing who was chasing, right now, and why. A wounded fox -speaking of old memories- pretending to have a hurt paw and luring the bigger carnivore closer to bite its jugular better.
Yes. She could play with it.
---
The chase continued throughout the day.
It wasn’t anything much, and Morrigan couldn’t pinpoint the person who was looking at her once. Not during a long and boring lunch with the Empress and a couple of Dukes, discussing over fundings to grant to the Grand Universities and pushes towards a more open-minded attitude towards elves that were too little, not enough to settle. She couldn’t come to any better conclusions during a game of whist dragged for too long, when she got asked the usual prodding questions about her position, her role, her status, her provenience. She batted every jab with one of her own, never once believed that the laughter she caused was anything but condescending, and took pride in winning the game, under her mysterious observer’s stare.
She signalled to Kieran not to run after her, when she met him just out of the drawing room, just to be sure. She had taught him a clue for this kind of situation, after all, and the boy heeded it right away with an amused expression, skittering away before even greeting his mother, with a giggle. The reaction gave Morrigan a clue, but yet again she didn’t put much thought into it. Hope was futile, hope was dangerous. In her life, and in that environment. And knowing whom else may be to seek her out, she didn’t want to risk it. Not with him in the middle.
Shivers ran through her spines when, after that fleeting meeting with her son, the sensation of being observed stopped. It could have been casual, it could have been that she walked in paths that allowed for little hideouts. If it was whom she hoped to be, she knew the child and the child knew her. Otherwise, she feared giving him away. But she had changed in the last years, and she couldn’t help but walk to the library, where Kieran was headed for his afternoon lessons, and ask. She got answered that yes, he was at his usual spot with his teacher, they were going through some history volumes. A new teacher, the woman told, a Dalish. She could call him here, if the Arcane Advisor so wished. But the arcane advisor was, finally, content with the solution to her riddle.
The sensation got back fleetingly, for a moment when she headed back to her rooms for dinner, before disappearing again. This time, it created a sense of anticipation, a longing. So, she ordered her dinner to be brought into her apartment, and ordered for one person more. She already wove a spell over the kitchen staff in charge of handling her meals not to notice Kieran, not to notice that she never required food for just one person. It would have worked if the meal was for three people instead of two, today.
And so she waited, absentmindedly nibbling at her food as her son told her about what he had learnt today, whom he had met. He was particularly mysterious, and vague when she prodded him to get any further detail. She just knew why, but the game was that she had to pretend not to know and prod for answers. And so she did.
“I am sure that the renown teachers of Empress Celene, so keen in financing universities, would hardly stop at enlightening the minds of promising young men with just ‘the usual’.” She chided, leaning her head to the side and raising one eyebrow and, in spite of herself, smiling at said promising young man.
“I had a special teacher today, Mother.” The boy smiled back, nodding solemnly.
“Oh? And whom tis might be?”
“A wild fox, she told me.”
A twitch of her lips, and she knew. Relaxing with the final confirmation that it wasn’t anyone else, she put her mind at ease and kept on with their evening routine. Dinner, then a new spell to teach him -he was so talented already- with the subsequent questions. Brushing teeth, a story and then bedtime for the child. A kiss on his forehead, a last caress and wishing each other sweet dreams. As she gently closed the double doors that led to the bedroom her son occupied, she was alone with her thoughts.
Or well, not entirely.
“Orlais, uh?”
A dear, dear voice asked from behind her, the lilting accent embued in sarcasm. She sounded more Fereldan than she had when they first met.
“I do like witnessing history where it’s happening, when it’s happening. You should know it.” Morrigan answered, amusement creeping into her voice in a way that years ago she would never have allowed to. “How did you find me?"
“I really should know, yes.” She laughed. “A nightingale helped me.”
It didn’t matter, now. They both were changed, they both knew. Rare visits too sporadical to really see the progress in its entirety, but enough to ease them both into it, enough not to make it a surprise.
All it mattered, was that Morrigan turned to see Warden-Commander Mahariel, clad in unassuming travelling clothes in brown and green under a black cloak, casually leaning on her windowsill. She looked paler and more tired, her dusky skin had painted with a greyish hue, with dark circles under her eyes and cheekbones well defined. Her smile crinkled the white scars that the Archdemon left in its wake, and even older and more consumed by the Blight, Morrigan still found her beautiful.
She stepped towards her, straightening her spine, hands daintly kept in front of her bust and strutting a little, the becoming image of a Lady clad in burgundy velved and black musselin.
“You’ve gotten worse, I knew there was someone following since this morning.” She chided, no real bite to her words. Not even as a pretense, try as she might.
“Maybe I wanted you to find me.” Alyra answered, gracefully hopping down her perch and walking forward, eyes fixed on hers. They were still as keen as Morrigan left them.
“And yet, the only one who saw you was Kieran.”
“I wanted you to find me… Eventually.”
She stopped right in front of her, so close they were almost touching, half a smile still on her lips in a practiced game of theirs. The first kiss, when they met, was never the elf’s to give. She would come closer, signal her consent, but never step up to take it, always keep half a step, half a centimetre behind. The closing distance was always for Morrigan to fill. It took a while, back in the Blight, to understand that it wasn’t carelessness or just her wanting to aimlessly flirt, on the contrary: It was her way to ask for consent and be sure the Witch actually wanted it. It had irritated her, it still did. She loved her for it, when she humphed and moved forward, filling the distance and pressing her lips on hers.
Colder than she remembered, but still answering readily to the kiss, as her hands found her waist and dragged her closer with a satisfied sigh. There was some urgency in her movement that wasn’t just from the long separation. She grabbed her waist with a tid-bit too much strength, as if she was afraid she would disappear, her lips nibbled at hers with too much urgency, begging for her to open. Uncharacteristically.
So, Morrigan took back her head, after a while, and didn’t yield when the elf tried to pursue, grunting a little in disappointment and holding her tight and as close as she could.
“What happened?” the Witch asked, not stepping away, but knowing better thank mistaking whatever that was for just desire.
All her answer was a sigh, long and dragged, and a forehead coming to rest against hers. For a full minute, she didn’t move, staying there and just basking in her presence, finding words. Morrigan let her, hands travelling up from her shoulders to caress her hair, mindful not to disturb too much the complex game of braids she tied the auburn mass into. She wore them long, since she became the Arlessa.
“I came here to say goodbye. This is but a detour.”
Dread ran down Morrigan’s spine, at those words. She knew Wardens that witness a Blight live even less, but… Ten years alone felt too little. Ten years felt like being robbed. She looked consumed, but not that much. Her eyes, when she opened them just in front of hers, were acute and keen, as per her usual. Riordan had looked watery and far-away, caught in some thought nobody could follow. They had not the same expression, but-
“Don’t make that face.” Alyra stopped her train of thoughts, moving slightly forward to peck another kiss on her lips. Just one, reassuring, before returning forehead against forehead. “It’s not the Calling. It’s just… A desperate mission, I don’t know if I’ll return.”
“More desperate than climbing up a mountain to find the ashes of a dead woman?”
That earned a laugh, bittersweet, and another kiss.
“Tell me about this plan.” Morrigan coaxed her, right after.
They broke the hug, but kept close to each other, as Morrigan brought her in her own room and closed the doors. They made small talk as they shed some layers of clothing to get more comfortable. Alyra took away her cloak, leather vest and boots, and helped her with her corset, unlacing it with care and expertise, and helping her slipping out of the voluminous gown, petticoats and crinoline.
“If Leliana could see you.” Alyra snickered.
“Mythal help me if she ever did, I wouldn’t hear the end of it.”
“She’ll be furious. She doesn’t get to wear many shoes anymore.”
“So I’ve heard.”
“You didn’t meet her?”
“I stay well away from anything smelling of Chantry, for… Obvious reasons.”
“Mh.”
The elf settled on the loveseat in front of the fire, ignoring the plush bed right behind it, and dragged the witch down, gently, by holding her hand, when she was done tying a dressing gown over her waist. They settled, so close that they touched, but still facing each other. Morrigan let her do, let her position herself as she was more comfortable and at ease possible. Whatever it was, it was all but clear it was important and delicate. So, as the witch sat with her legs folded under her, lying on the backrest of the couch, and the Warden in front of her, a leg spread and hooked over the other’s thighs, one arm folded to pillow her head on the backrest and the other hand absent-mindedly playing with Morrigan’s necklaces on her neck, the redhead started to speak.
“I am after a cure for the Blight.” She announced. Nothing more and nothing less than what it was, straight to the point.
“Do you have a trail?” Morrigan asked, trying not to sound too worried over it.
“Avernus’ research brought some results. Even if he keeps complaining about the methods I imposed. I brought you his notes, should you wish to give your opinion.”
“Of course.”
“Nathaniel has the command until I’m gone. If you discover something, report to him. He and Velanna will know what to do.”
“Do you trust an Howe?”
“I do.” She chuckled. “Weird, isn’t it? He is in charge until I’m gone. Vigil’s Keep stays safe for you, should you need it.”
“And thus Warden-Commander Mahariel rides alone in the sunset, to prove anyone daring say she’s just running after ghosts that ghosts can be punched in their teeth if you try hard enough.”
It elicited another laughter, louder than the previous one. She scooted closer, searching for her hand and, when she found it, twining their fingers together and squeezing, in silent gratefulness.
“I’m not letting Anora bear his heir. Not the first one, at least.”
“And here I thought you two got along pretty well.”
“Oh, we do. But you know me.” She surged forward pressing herself flush against the other, lips, as per usual, just a breath away from hers. “I keep biting until I get what I want.”
“I got the idea, yes.” Morrigan smiled, not yet filling the distance.
She cupped the other’s cheek instead, the one where the scars broke the blue line of her Vallaslin, and delighting as the other closed her eyes and leaned in her touch.
“You’re not doing this for him, aren’t you?” Morrigan knew the answer: she could never see Alistair asking for anything of sort, but power changed people, years had passed since she last saw him, let alone spoke to him. And she wasn’t leaving her lover with him, if that was the price. She could forget the Eluvians for a couple of months, enough to go to Denerim and turn him into a frog for real.
Alyra, tho, snorted: not a positive reaction, but the one she wanted to see.
“I’m doing this for me. I wanted children from before I met him, and Kieran would love a younger sibling, he told me. That the father I chose will be happy as well is but a fortunate side effect.”
“You really have the heart of a poet.”
“If any of you wanted a romantic, Leliana was the right Bard, you know.”
She relaxed back again, smiling. That relaxed smile she so rarely donned, even during the Blight, and always felt like a personal victory. Morrigan should remind her that she had food brought up for her that was waiting. They could discuss details and how she could help her over dinner. But since she was there and she could, she just bent forward and kissed her again.
“Where are you headed first?”
“North.” She said, sighing. “The Anderfels.”
“Weisshaupt?”
The smile turned sly, and that was a more usual one.
“I’m sneaking in the First Warden’s private library.”
“Oh, if I could come with you.” Morrigan chortled, imagining the scene. “Has he stopped insisting for you to report?”
“I have no idea, I told Varel to toss his letters in the fireplace if he reads something on that line again. When I left, it had been a couple of months since I last heard from him. My spies didn’t find any Warden army marching our way, so I guess he put his mind at ease.” She huffed and shrugged. She started having troubles with the First Warden from soon after she became Warden-Commander and firmly refused to travel all the way up to the Anderfels to justify herself for being alive, she told her, and Morrigan had been updated on their cold war ever since.
“Or, his attention is elsewhere.”
“I have contacts to write back to Amaranthine, should the worse happens, can I ask you…?”
“I’ll write to Nathaniel, via the usual means.”
“Thank you, Mo.”
She sighed and leaned forward, resting her forehead against her shoulder.
“After Weisshaupt?” Morrigan asked, gently raising her hands to unpin the crown of braids on the back of her lover’s head. One by one, collecting them in her lap as she undid them and three braids slowly fell down.
“After that, off to some far-off entrance to the Deep Roads. Some remnants of the First Blight, I have a map. With some luck, I saw my fair share of Broodmothers and won’t have to even come closer to smell one.”
The elf shivered, and the mage knew that it wasn’t from her hands carefully guiding her braids to rest before her shoulder, tidying them neatly. She started to undo them, one by one, combing her fingers through knots and waves. They saw each other little: their duties kept them apart, and yet this little ritual became ingrained. Morrigan would undo Alyra’s hair, and then Alyra would unlatch Morrigan’s jewels, one by one, before slipping in the same bed. The little things that gave them both the illusion that whatever they had was an habit, was normal, that they had all the time in the world and not stolen moments.
“My my my, the Hero of Ferelden scared of something!” She joked, for the hundredth time.
“Hush.” Alyra swatted her, without any real effort. “Those things give me the creeps. They’re just… Wrong.”
“One could argue that no Darskpawn is exactly right.”
“One never had to dispatch two Broodmothers. One of which was talking. Those things shouldn’t talk. I don’t want to see one ever again.”
“Even if it won’t talk?”
“Can we stop talking of Broodmothers? It was supposed to be a pleasant evening.”
Morrigan laughed, sweeping the mass of hair behind her back and snaking her arms around the other woman’s neck, to hug her. It was refreshing, to give in to some tenderness and sincerity once in a while. It was refreshing, to have Alyra’s back there in her arms, sighing contently and holding her close with hands on the small of her back, nose in the crook of her neck and planting lazy kisses on the trapeze.
“Will you and Kieran be fine?”
“Worry not for us. I can take care of us.”
“I know. But let me worry.”
“Worry by writing. He’ll be happy to hear your adventures. The stories about you are his favourites.”
“He stormed me in questions, this afternoon. I fear he learnt very little about Emperor Drakon’s reign, but he knows everything about the werewolves in the Brecilian Forest, now.”
“Of course he had.”
“He’s such a good child.”
And there there was: regret. The slight hint of it that she allowed herself to show, and just with Morrigan, when all her barriers were down. She clutched her closer, the old wound they both sported closed but never really healed. She caressed her hair, in silence, offering support and the acceptance she knew the other needed, right now. There were no words to spare: they both had chosen, they both knew that it had to be this way. So, they both let it end with that, in a hug. A hug that said I’m sorry and I know and It’s ok like it is. There was time, for now, for closer expressions of affection, for finally tackling that dinner, for everything else.
“How long ere you leave?”
“Three days.”
They got, indeed, time, and there was only them in that room, warded and protected by ancient glyphs and spells. They could leave their hard shells out for a while.

Companions favorite Disney movie?
A/N: Howdy, howdy, folks! I know it's been a while, but I hope y'all enjoy these! 🥰💙💛 I've been extremely busy and have sort of lost motivation for this fandom, but I'm going to try to play Fo4 soon and see if I can muster up some more motivation 😊 I still have some fanfic to write and some reactions to do and I've got to get my butt in gear!
Cait - Brave. It might seem like the obvious choice because, well... ginger twinsies.... But she loves it because of the constant action and the fact that Merida wields a sword and a bow while also riding a horse often at the same time. She also secretly sort of finds herself vicariously living through Merida and wishing she would have had a family like hers with parents that actually loved her.
Curie - Inside Out. It's sciency and presents a fun, creative way of examining the brain's functions. She would prefer that Disney be more realistic, but despite her slight disappointment, she also understands that it has to be presented in a child-friendly way that would keep a kid's attention. A close second for her would be Big Hero 6. Honey Lemon is her hero.
Piper - Zootopia. She finds herself very much relating to Judy Hopps most days. Just a girl in a big city and a big world with the chips stacked against her and hardly anyone on her side as she fights the good fight. She also enjoys Judy's optimistic, sarcastic, energetic spirit that she upkeeps in the face of adversity. It's something that Piper herself has done her best to maintain.
MacCready - Finding Nemo. As a concerned dad with a struggling young son of his own, he can relate to this movie greatly. Plus, a bonus is that he likes to mess with F!Sole about being Dory, which she never seems to appreciate nearly as much as he does most days.
Deacon - The Emperor's New Groove. All of the jokes and the lightheartedness of the overall movie is totally Deacon's style. He always quotes the movie afterward and drives everyone at HQ crazy with his rather awful impression of Yzma.
Codsworth - Flubber. He sort of is crushing on Weebo the robot assistant. Granted, he says he has no sort of manner in which to facilitate such feelings since he is not programmed to feel things like that, but he raves over her enough that everyone can see he clearly has some manner of feelings.
Hancock - A Bug's Life. He doesn't really know why, but it cracks him up every time he turns it on. Of course, he's usually high when he's watched it, but that's not the important part. The important thing is that it's anti-grasshoppers and after the stuff he saw at Nuka-World, that suits him just fine.
Danse - Toy Story. He would rather die than admit it, but he likes the movie for the odd reason that he heavily relates to the spaceman. His perspective on life and his soldier-like dedication to his mission is truly outstanding. He also strangely relates to him in many ways, but he's not quite sure why.
Preston - Brother Bear. He enjoys the deep feelings and meaning behind the film. It's such an underrated yet good film and it has a really great sound track as well. He also has a strange affinity for Toy Story because of Woody and his steady dependability.
Valentine - Old Yeller. It's traditional and it has that sense of old-timey living that Nick can appreciate. He also enjoys the deep emotional quality of the film and the fact that it's about a good, loyal, brave dog. Kind of like Dogmeat.
X6-88 - Maleficent. He enjoys her sense of humor and her sense of taking care of business and revenge when people do her wrong. However, his favorite non-Disney movie is The Matrix. He firmly believes the coursers' design is based on Morpheus and he secretly thinks he looks like him most out of the courser models.
Dogmeat - The Fox and the Hound. He loves nothing more than to howl along with the dog on there. Finally a movie that actually has a character that speaks his language! The dog also actually successfully befriends other animals in a way that Dogmeat never seems to do too well since they're always trying to stomp on him or kill him. He also is a fan of Bolt.
Strong - Monster's Inc. Firstly, Strong doesn't like movies. They're confusing and make no sense because what do you mean those things are not really there? They're standing right in front of him! But he likes Monster's Inc more than most because Mike Wazowski looks like a super-mutant. An ugly, one-eyed freak super-mutant, but nevertheless one of his kind.

I’m not sure but I thought I might as well ask
is Yev based on Yzma from Emperors New Groove? Some of the reasons I thought this was due to his hairstyle (high ponytail) looking similar to one of Yzmas hairstyles where her black hair is pointed out or represents the lavender feather(?)/accessory , the purple makeup suiting her equally purple color scheme, and the mention of the “secret” lab which is like Yzmas lab in the palace. Also (this might be wrong) I think Quispe (his last name) is Quechua which is a language spoken in different South American countries such as Peru (which Emperors New Groove is based/set in).
Even if not I think Pomefiore is a great dorm for Yzma since she has been known to be stylish in the movie changing into several different outfits + the original concept of the movie was going to make her hate the sun since she blames it on making her age faster (snuff out the light was going to be her villains solo I recommend searching it on YouTube)
sorry for the rant I just really love Emperors New Groove, one of my favorite Disney movies
Tumblr media
YES HE IS THANK YOU FOR NOTICE THE USE OF QUECHUA I STUDIED INCA FOR A CLASS AND WANTED TO REFERENCE THEM AND CORRECT!!! YZMA FITS BEAUTIFULLY IN POMEFIORE!!!!!
WAAHAHAHAHAHA I WILL ADD HIS FUN FACTS BELOW AS A REWARD!!!
Yev Quispe
“The new Housewarden of Pomefiore. A remarkably beautiful young man with skills rivaling the most experienced apothecaries. He demands attention and respect from all due to his status as a young heir, lest you become an unwilling subject in his experiments.”

Family: Unnamed younger brother
Other Names(s): Bluebottle (Floyd)
Grade: Junior
Class: C (No. 18)

Favorite Food: Ceviche
Least Favorite Food: Spinach Empanadas

Appearance
Yev is a tall, lean man with tanned skin and dark brown eyes. He has dark purple layered hair that goes below his shoulders, with long side swept bangs framing his face. His usual hairstyle has him wearing his hair in a French braid, with his bangs and two pieces of hair curled below his chin. His hair is tied with a thick blue hair tie.
He wears blue, turquoise earrings and is always seen wearing purple eyeshadow, dark eyeliner, and wine colored lipstick. He is often wearing a polite smile and critical gaze.
Personality
Yev is a confident, haughty young man who is self-assured in his looks and skills. He is well known to dislike being questioned by his underclassmen, holding very few in either equal standing or high-regards. Because of this, he is quick to point out others’ flaws when others point out his own shortcomings, known to be overly harsh when doing so. Over the years, this has made him overly critical of others to the point that he is condescending to most, especially to those that aren’t of his same social status.
Despite this, he is renowned for his skills as an upcoming potionologist, sought out by both cosmetic and pharmaceutical scientists for his unique skills in transformation potions and spells. Surprisingly, when compared to his predecessor, Yev has no issue getting dirty and cluttered when experimenting in his makeshift laboratory and enjoys making new discoveries, sharing them with others. He also has no qualms in involving others in his tests, allowing other students to take his potions and note down their reactions rather than testing them himself.

So, Across the Spiderverse has had me in a chokehold since I watched it. Could you imagine a Yuu in the House Mouse au who is not exactly powerless, but her abilities are not magic-based? Welcome to the crossover that nobody asked for, and I'm gonna pretend that secret identities don't exist for a moment and that disrupting canon events from astv don't exist.
Spider!Yuu's spidey senses can tell when danger is afoot. Whenever she's on the clock, there's fewer accidents and just swings by before Goofy trips and tosses all the dishes. She can tell when either Pete or Mortimer are here. The staff can rely on her for cleaning the high ass ceilings because she can climb up walls with no problem. And her webs make the best Halloween decor.
Von Drake and Jumba being so fascinated with Yuu's anatomy and intelligence. Whether has organic webbing or made web shooters of her own, they want so badly to experiment on them (definitely not gonna try to get bit by a radioactive spider too, nope).
Jamil being torn from freaked out to having a crush on a girl with spider powers. Jafar trying to convince him that she's not an actual spider so that his ship could sail
Yuu making a web hammock to calm down the little kids in the club. Next minute she's having a strength competition with Hercules and Gaston because she can lift up to ten tons.
The clubgoers seeing her memories and freaking over the fact that Yuu has been up against so many dangerous foes and life or death situations such as the iconic train scene. It scares them even more than the overblots do.
The Parr family from the Incredible (if they're here in the au), feel so bad because she's doing vigilante work all on her own. Edna mode upgrades Yuu's spider suit to a new level with glee.
Yuu: No capes please. It's disrespectful to my image.
Edna: *sniffle* Would you like to be my daughter?
Okay okay okay first of all I'm going to vent a bit about ATSV because Pavitr my boy, my sunshine, my everything is literally so important to me like hell yeah give me the south asian/brown kid representation (now if only there was an young asian girl with a bob so I can feel better about that Dora the Explorer look my mum forced me to have throught 90% of primary school whilst all of my friends got to grow their own hair out)
Also not going to lie the only reason I'm into ATSV is because I've been a Mayday Parker stan since 2017 - like she is everything (and her backstory is just so sad like PeterMJ didn't deserve that). My favourite spider-people after Peter are his multiversal daughters because girldad Peter is everything (I actually own physical copies of the Renew Your Vows comics that are about Peter and MJ's daughter, Annie-May Parker, and they are so frickin good) but I digress...
Yes but Spider-Girl!Yuu is so cool. Thank you for giving me this idea.
I don't know if I want Yuu to have her own Guy in the Chair back in her universe and for Idia to feel jealous/threatened or for her to have no guy in the chair until she comes to twst and Ortho is like 'my time has come'
Ohh imagine the insane parkour skills she, Ruggie and Aladdin would have.
I know that being insanely smart in science is a Peter Parker thing and doesn't really apply to all Spider-People but I think she would be a science whizz (and joining the science club - making Crewel's already glaringly obvious favouritism skyrocket) and hanging out with all of the scientist characters like Prof Von Drake, Jumba, Yzma etc.
Her and Herc would be training buds. He'd see her and her heroics and superhuman friend and be like 'new best friend :D'. Phil loves the heroic potential she has and wants to train her but Pegasus and Megara are like nope and swoop him away.
Oh but imagine the beastfolk finding out about her enhanced senses and how sometimes they cause sensory overload and helping her out because they grew up like that so they know how to manage it better (I once read a fic that said that Savanaclaw showers have soaps with subtler scents to accommodate their enhanced sense of smell and like yes) whilst she's still getting used to it and has to keep it a secret back in her world.
I'm thinking back to all of the MCU!Peter Parker fics I read and all of the spider DNA tropes that tickled my fancy and I can just imagine the twst/HoM cast reacting to things like her having no thermoregulation (and going into hibernation), her purring, her being allergic/having a poison like reaction to peppermint, her having fangs (her being venomous would be cool as well - like imagine Kaa being all fanboying over her fangs and venom glands) etc..
Okay so I remember having a bunch of ideas about this but I can't recall all of them so here... 😅

I swear, they approached Disney's 100th anniversary film all wrong.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The best part about "Wish" were the easter eggs, and even those were hit-or-miss. The plot didn't scream fairy tale or Disney--and neither did the music; if I never knew this film was a Disney film, I'd say it was a company's first attempt at an animated film. As a first attempt, it's not bad, but as Disney's 62nd film and an ode to 100 years of business....I was heavily disappointed.
I've made posts about how this could've been another epic Disney film, but for this post, I wanna try another angle, with two different ways Disney could've approached this celebratory film.
Tumblr media
Option 1: A parody. Looking at "Enchanted", AKA one of Disney's best live-action films, the movie makes fun of classic Disney tropes as well as paying homage to renaissance-era films, which at the time this movie came out, was Walt Disney Animation Studio's biggest successful period. A film about a naive animated soon-to-be princess who is banished to the real world discovers what she wants out of life, all while charming those around her. I'm not saying "Wish" needed to include the real world aspect, but having a parody about a princess (or prince) who comes off very early-Disney while still feeling modern and giving us Disney-esque tropes and a fun story would've been a great vibe. Imagine if Asha is naive and easily taken advantage of by King Magnifico, who teaches her magic and manipulates her into harming others, seeing her youth as a weakness ("Well, you're young. You don't know anything, really."). Imagine the story actually having her BE a fairy godmother, albeit in training, and she has to learn the price and limitations of wishes (very "Cinderella"-esque) and learning when to help and when not to help others. It'd be mature and magical at the same time! Plus I imagine Magnifico being a cross between Narissa and Gaston. Amaya would probably be non-existant or an admirer Magnifico uses.
Tumblr media
Option 2: A cutting, modern take on a classic. While I'd rather have "Kingdom of the Sun," "The Emperor's New Groove" is a funny and irreverent story about a selfish Inca Emperor who's turned into a llama by his power-hungry advisor and must return to the palace while learning to care about others along the way. Kuzco, in contrast to most Disney protagonists (or most protagonists in kids/family films in general) starts off petty, untrustworthy, and self-centered, but these qualities also give way to cleverness and humor, something that most Disney heroes lack due to either their innocence, kindess, or seriousness. Kuzco continually comments on things around him with quips and remarks that go unnoticed by the general populace (thanks to breaking the 4th wall), and it got me thinking, what if Asha was like this--or better yet, Magnifico? What if Magnifico wasn't a villain per se, but a selfish and mean king who continually had pessimistic comments to make about this fantasy-esque kingdom he created and his airheaded inhabitants. Their growing dependence on him--as well as their happy-go-lucky attitudes make him constantly patronize and devalue them, and his attitude accidentally causes destruction for the kingdom. When Asha challenges his perspective and goes on an adventure to bring back his love for others (trauma does run deep for him), he learns that everyone has a wish worth granting, and that he shouldn't be so quick to look down on others because they still have the joy and innocence he lost. Plus the people of Rosas learn not to take advantage of others and appreciate the things they have. Magnifico being like a cross between Yzma and Kuzco would be a sight to behold, while Asha takes on more of a wise Pocahontas-type role.
I can't be the only one who thinks this was a better approach to "Wish" if they didn't want to do a typical epic film.

I know there's a lot of talk about Disney princess' hanging out, but I was wondering what villains you think would get along with each other, and also what hench people, for reasons that are beyond me I'm absolutely taken with the idea of Iago and Creeper interacting.
Ok! Took a bit but I think I figured out how they’d all line up
So Queen Grimhilde, Maleficent and Lady Tremaine I think would actually all get a long. Not really friends but they do respect each other’s power (and pettiness against young innocent girls) and I can see them being allied in any sort of dark plans.
( Maleficent’s definitely the most powerful but she can respect a woman with power as long as they’re not going up against her. And Lady Tremaine if we include Cinderella 3 actually also has a pretty powerful dark magic ability once you get a wand in her hand so I think she fits here as well)
After them there’s the group I actually think would have fun together though they’d also totally all be down to stab eachother in the back if needed and they all know it:
Ursula, Yzma, Jafar, Dr Facilier, and sometimes Hades. He wants to be the Boss since he’s a god so he has a harder time working together but they all have the same sort of ‘wealing dealing having fun while ruining lives energy’ and I think they’d have terrible evil fun
Gothel, Cruella and Madame Medusa I can kinda see in this too. They’re looked down on by the others as they don’t have magic (or arnt very good at it in Gothel’s case) and they’re all so self obsessed they don’t play well together but they gravitate together because of this?
The Queen of Hearts finds Madam Mim hilarious and Mim likes her manic energy and the Morva witches sometimes hangout with them too when they deign to hangout with anyone besides themselves.
Hook and Long John obviously bond over being pirates though they have very different views on children—though John kinda gives leeway for going after an immortal kid who cuts your hand off
Rourke, Clayton , Radcliffe and Sykes all get drinks together sometimes though they’re not really friends as each thinks they’re secretly better then all the others—Gaston sometimes gets in on the group to talk guns and the army and making shady deals to get what you want but his running egotistical dialogue usually gets him booted out after a while
That’s when he usually gets taken aside for more drinks by Mcleach who also tries to talk to Clayton and non half drunk Gaston about hunting but Clayton thinks he’s a low class tramp and doesn’t give him the time of day and sober Gaston finds his lizard creepy.
The only person who actually likes Mcleach’s company is Alameda Slim, (the only fun part of that aweful cow movie) and Mcleach is the only one who likes his yodeling
The Horned King is above anything so mundane as friendship with any of these petty sorcerers and wouldn’t deign to hangout with mere witch women, let alone human mortals, so he just molders somewhere. Sometimes he’ll speak with the Coachman as a fellow demon.
Frollo also sees himself as above everyone else for a mirad of reasons and so keeps to himself—though he usually does end up glaring (ogling) various of the witches. Gothel and him would honestly probably get along great if he could get over the witch thing. They have similar parenting styles.
Edgar and Amos Slade, despite being very different types of men bond over being the only actually normal sane-ish people in the villain pub and hating animals
(And Scar, Shere Khan, and Ratigan are all in the back hanging out as well—the first two probably try and eat Ratigan at some point)
Per the sidekicks, I offer this video, to which I would add Mr Snoops but is honestly how I see them all getting along:
youtube
Edit: Oh Yeah Hans!
Ummmm honestly I think Hans (pre my Frozen 3 storyline where he learns the follies of making shady deals with spooky magic users) also thinks he’s above the rest of the villains being a prince and all but he definitely tries to get in good with any and all of them he thinks could help him get him power and honor and such. I think Gaston actually likes him tbh, the rest of them either think he’s fake and look down on him for it or think he’s fake and can admire his initiative/ acting skills

Hey! <3 Love your art. And Im curious, Who is your favorite Disney villain? and why?
Tumblr media
4.- Yzma She’s threatening and even cruel, but also flamboyant, over-the-top, and entertaining. Every scene with her and Kronk is just pure hilarity. An amazing character that is extremely underrated. She’s clearly intelligent to be able to become advisor to the emperor. And a woman of science.
3.- Hook Perfect combo of threatening and silly. He shooting a guy for singing! haha While this isn't my favorite adaptation of Peter Pan (or my favorite Disney movie), Hook is a great character and memorable villain: entertaining, scary, charming, and sad all at once. It's weird how often I find myself rooting for Captain Hook. The man is beaten by children every other Tuesday, and spends every waking moment fearing that a crocodile will appear out of nowhere and devour him whole because the croc was fed Hook's own hand (by the movie hero!) Hook and his pirates are basically the Team Rocket of Disney.
2.- Frollo Judge Claude Frollo is a Monster. It is evil to willingly do evil acts on others… but it is far worse to do the same…and never even recognize your evil! Frollo committed practically every sin in the book but is convinced its forgivable since he believes he’s doing it for God. He thinks he is a “good” man and that his religion makes all of his actions praiseworthy and acceptable! Frollo doesn’t even realize how evil he really is. And he has convinced the young Quasimodo that he is a hideous monster not worthy of love or heaven's light. This is a new level of cruelty.
1.- Maleficent (The animated one, not live action) Maleficent is just amazing. The way she acts, the way she moves, the way she changes shape… I love everything about her. People whine because they claim she went after a baby for such a ‘tiny' slight. But in fairy dynamics, she was reacting appropriately. As the highest ranking fae in the land, by not inviting her the royals were insulting both her rank and her power. And her battle with the prince…. God, just let her win. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Ahem I like her design. Pretty demonic. And Maleficent as a Dragon is so great (My heart has a soft spot for lizards, dinosaurs, dragons). I like her voice. Eleanor Audley is brilliant in her performance. But the day I heard Rosario Muñoz Ledo as Maleficent she sent chills down my spine. So much power, so much presence. Here, listen her.

It's so sad that Disney canceled this dub so they wouldn't have to pay royalties.

I tried looking and couldn't find it on your posting, but a question I like to ask in the TWDG universe. What are some of the older Ericson kids' favorite Disney animated films? I know in the game the outbreak happened in the summer of 2003, but some of the older kids have watched animated films before then or at least remember them. The world simply didn't end when they were growing up prior to the outbreak. You can include it as an alternate universe too to include AJ, Tenn, and Willy if you want.
Ooo! We love this ask! Okay, here we go!!
Clementine: Lilo and Stitch, she liked the story and also secretly wished she could have an older sister like Nani.
Louis: Lady and the Tramp, he was really rooting for the main couple and he thought the spaghetti scene was the height of romance. He also likes Fantasia but that was more for the classical music.
Violet: The Rescuers and Mulan. She likes The Rescuers because she relates to the little girl and her rough home life situation and she loves Mulan because she's a badass and it's an awesome movie.
Marlon: The Lion King because he has a mane just like a lion he really likes Simba and the storyline.
Mitch: Treasure Planet, all the way baby! He adored that movie and relates to Jim Hawkins and he loved the space pirate adventure. He was really glad it came out right before the outbreak happened so he could hold onto those memories.
Brody: The Little Mermaid she loved that Ariel want to venture out and explore a new place and she also had a little bit of a crush on Prince Eric.
Aasim: Atlantis, he felt like it was an underrated film and absolutely loved the plot and discovery of an ancient lost city. He also had a crush on both Kida and Milo.
Ruby: Oliver and Company, she really likes following the story of all these cute animals and it stuck with her.
Omar: Cinderella, everyone is surprised when he tells them this but he really likes Cinderella as a character and how hard-working and kind she is. He remembers the few times he had seen the movie that he would always cheer her on.
Sophie: Tarzan, she loves everything about it, the art, the music, Tarzan and Jane. To her it's cinema perfection. She also likes the art of Fantasia but it's too slow for her to give her full attention to.
Minnie: Robin hood, a noble fox who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. She really liked Robin Hood's energy and the other characters too. It also was awesome to see Prince JOhn get taken down.
James: Pinocchio, he related to a boy who doesn't quite fit in and who always wanted to fit in regardless. James was always scared by the island that turned mischievous boys into donkeys
Tenn: Fantasia, he would sit in the music room and listen to Louis play the music while Sophie recalled the art. He loved hearing about it and would try his best to draw some of the scenes told to him.
Willy: The Lion King, he remembered hearing about it and absolutely loved it. Later on he would reenact scenes for the others after dinner. He also liked Treasure Planet too since Mitch made it sound like the coolest movie ever.
AJ: He likes Lilo and Stitch because Clem does but he also thought that Treasure Planet sounded awesome.
And also some of our ocs!
Prisha: She absolutely adores Beauty and the Beast, she watched it a lot before the outbreak and can recall most of the movie by heart.
Allison: She was too young to see any of them but she loves when her boyfriend, Willy, reenacts The Lion King. She listened to the movies that her moms liked too. She never got as invested in Beauty and the Beast as Prisha but each time she heard Violet talk about Mulan she loved it more and more. She really liked how Violet retold the movie and was sad that she never got a chance to see it in person.
Renata: Emperor's New Groove, baby! She loves the humor and the main duo of the movie. She finds Kronk and Yzma hilarious and damn, she wished she could find a copy to watch again sometime.
Thanks for the ask, it was fun!

If you could pick one animated Disney villain to twist and put into Twisted Wonderland (that doesn't already exist in game) who would you pick, why, and tell a bit about their character.
ooooh this is a fun ask!!! Thank you, friend!
I took some time to think about it, and I narrowed my choices down from Disney's giant list of villains to three, and from there I had to do like a mini-showdown in my brain to decide which one I wanted.
The direction that I took with this was to add an extra dorm; rather than go the 'staff member' route...I thought it would be more fun and impactful to the storyline if there was another dorm :D
The one who won the 'mini-showdown' and is the one I would pick to Twist and have in Twisted Wonderland was:
Yzma, from The Emperor's New Groove! (Naturally, being that this will be a dorm, Yzma will have Kronk as Vice Housewarden!) I think Yzma is an interesting character and that there is more to her than you think about in an initial watch-through of the movie. I also would love a dorm based on Peruvian culture and scenery!
So let's talk about Yzma:
She's smart; that much is obvious, with her potions and the fact that she actually managed a great deal of Kuzko's duties prior to her taking the throne.
She's dramatic; I mean honestly, with the entrance to her lab? The multiple levers and the crocodiles and the whole plot she makes up to get rid of Kuzko (recall, initially she wanted to turn him into a bug, and put him in a box, and put that box into a bigger box and mail it to herself, and then when it arrived: SMASH IT WITH A HAMMER!!! MWAHAHAHAHA!)
However, she is also practical as she ditches that initial plan and settles on simply poisoning the emperor. You know, to save on postage.
She's very dependent on Kronk, and I don't think she even realizes how much until she's in the jungle covered in muck and has to rely on him to speak to a squirrel.
She is ruthless when she wants something. She has absolutely no problem stating what she wants and then taking it. As evidenced by: she tried to kill the Emperor to take the throne. And how she gives orders to Kronk when they're in the restaurant, about how she wants her food done.
Now, if we were to twist her, and make a male version (young enough to attend school), and give him a storyline, I think it would sound something like this:
In the movie, part of Yzma's motivation for getting rid of Kuzko isn't strictly "I want the throne", but rather "I have been taking care of this young man since birth and I have been assisting him with ruling, and he not only never recognizes my efforts but constantly orders me about without actually thinking about anyone or anything other than himself" so let's mirror that. Twisted Yzma could be an older sibling who has been taking care of the younger ones his entire life...but no one recognizes his efforts and the younger kiddos got all the attention and praise, even when it was Yzma working behind the scenes to make things happen.
Now, you may be thinking "Isn't that what happened with Jamil?" No, no. Jamil was never allowed to shine or stand out because it would make Kalim look more amazing if he didn't. What I'm thinking for Yzma is: he tries. He tries to stand out, but he gets accused of stealing the spotlight. He tries to help, but then no one acknowledges him at all, especially not the younger sibling everyone dotes on, as that sibling has been taught that he is better than Yzma and that it is Yzma's *job* to take care of him, so no thanks is required.
Yzma comes to Night Raven College with a desire to prove himself. He ends up in the same dorm as Kronk, and Kronk is the first one to value Yzma as he is and be enthralled by his knowledge. This allows him to somehow worm his way into Yzma's heart.
Yzma would work hard to become the Dorm leader...and he would be so proud when he becomes one. But no one back home would really acknowledge it, too focused on his younger brother. This is a good set up for tension.
As time goes on, it only gets worse. Perfect grades on written exams. Perfect scores in flight classes. Perfect potions. Exceptionally perfect potions (I think Yzma would be one of Crewel's faves). Perfect record of attendance. One of the most respected dorms on campus. Also, I think his dorm would be very into theatrics and have a lot of successful theatre students (because as I said; Yzma is Dramatic) and put on fantastic shows (that Yzma's family never comes to)
None of it gets really recognized, but it's always "Kuzko did this" or "Kuzko learned that", and Yzma gets more and more sick of it.
Suddenly? There's this magic-less prefect? That everyone seems to love? Who is getting through a magic school on essentially a 'free ride'??? Who is going to classes and taking tests and is actually passing and the student body is more interested in them than they are in Yzma????
I think as Yuu works their way into the hearts of the other dorms, Yzma would become more and more annoyed. Perhaps, when it comes to be Yzma's dorm's turn; what happens might be that they are putting on a play. Anyone can audition. Grim wants to be a part of it, and in his antics, wrecks some props during auditions. This is a Cardinal Sin. Never touch someone else's prop. He and Yuu get assigned tech duties to help work on replacing props and assist with the behind-the-scenes work of the play.
I think what it would eventually take is for Yzma's own dorm to be warming up to Yuu and Grim, in order for Yzma to overblot. Perhaps the final straw is Kronk's character commenting that Yzma is being a bit hard on Yuu, and it's just so familiar to what he's heard growing up alongside his younger brother that he just. Snaps.
Ehehe, I may have gone a bit overboard with my ideas there...lol. But I had a lot of fun answering this and I really do think Yzma could be fun added in as a student!
Hope you enjoyed this answer! Thank you so much for asking, this was a lot of fun!

7 Comfort Movies
Thanks for the tag, @dreamingofmickeywaffles @reyestrandd and @lemonlyman-dotcom 🥰🥰🥰
1. Clue- there isn’t a second of this movie that is wasted, every single part of it is wonderful- the costumes, the dialogue, the over the top spectacle of it all- every single person in this (it also has the perfect amount of characters, I don’t know why this is a thing for me but it is) but all of them bite into the scenery and do not let go for 97 minutes and it is SENSATIONAL. I wish I could go back to 1985 and tell the people who said it sucked what they’re missing (and tell them about the multiple endings I can imagine how confusing that was in a pre social media world).
2. The Producers (the 2005 version) it’s impossible for me to watch this movie and be in a bad mood. Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane play off each other so well and I relate to Leo Bloom on a spiritual level (the line “you’ve mistaken me for someone with a spine” - MOOD). I haven’t seen the original so it may be rehashing but this just makes me happy.
3. Emperors New Groove- Aka the most underrated Disney movie in existence- Lordy do I love this movie. Every single of line is this is so goddamn funny even from the characters that aren’t necessarily supposed to be (I love Pacha’s wife- “UGH! I gotta go wash something”). And the fact that they wanted to do a villain as a young person backstory and picked Cruella over Yzma- a TRAVESTY. GIVE ME MY YZMA CENTERED PREQUEL DISNEY- I MEAN IT! (Sorry for all the shouting. Probably shouldn’t have filled this out after back to back shifts lol).
4. Sleepless in Seattle- this movie is just like a warm hug to me. Not even that it’s romantic- like it is but it’s so much more than that- it has just the right amount of characters and it does a good job of being a movie where they tell you don’t base your life around a movie but still being one of those movies and Rosie O’Donnell’s character is friend goals and Tom Hanks- he really is that charming- it’s one of those movies where I just think about it for weeks after I watch it (particularly the part at the end where he finally gets to Jonah and tearfully tells him “you’re my family. You’re all I’ve got”. Also the father-son stuff is top notch.
5. The Goonies- I’m still not over that Ke Huy Quan mentioned Jeff Cohen in his Oscar speech- but they are just the cutest group of kids and Brand is the cutest older brother in the you are so annoying but also you’re not gonna get hurt on my watch way and Chunk is adorable and I love all these goobers so much
6. Mary Poppins- this movie is just so wonderful. It’s beautifully shot and the songs and in between dialogue is amazing and I’m always embarrassed to tell people how much I love this movie cause I’m much too old and might cry about how much it means to me.
7. Muppet Treasure Island- MARGARITAS AT THE MIDNIGHT BUFFET!! This movie is really funny and also really sweet at the same time? Like I think about the there’s got to be something better song once a week but then there’s Gonzo whispering “I believe they prefer visually challenged fiend” and Jennifer Saunders as the innkeeper who can always hear them- “I’ll be fine boys- run for it!” “How does she do that?!” And Tim Curry- Tim Curry is having so much fun in this movie (“Satan is heating his pokers for you, you… blasphemous heathens!”) If I had two hours left to live I would put this movie on.
No pressure tags - @elevatehearts @hydesjackiespuddinpop @manicpixiedreamb0y @poppy-in-the-woods @baubeautyandthegeek @ellena-asg @draculakells @paperstorm

1, 11, 15 for Aisling Raina and Alyra? :3
Hello Laya! :D
Thank you for asking!
Tumblr media
since number 1 was already answered here, I'll do 11 and 12! :P
Tis the prompt list
11. Did you know what the OC’s sexuality would be at the time of their creation?
With a premise that my characters all start by default as bi or pan and I pinpoint later on the exact sexuality...
Aisling: She stayed bi, so yes. She gained a Templar kink along the way. (I started her playthrough with Cassandra as a LI. it didn't turn out *waves fist against Bioware* so yeah, by then Cullen was the most coherent option. She likes Templars, what can I say xD) Raina: It was when I realized I accidentally triggered Anders' romance that I realised she really stroke me as definitely a lesbian. Polyamory came later when I couldn't choose between Isabela and Merrill, I saw her with both and I asked myself: "Why choosing?". Alyra: I have zero idea whether I had any idea on the matter when I first created her. As per Aisling, I started by actively choosing every dialogue option to please Morrigan. Was disappointed when I discovered that at 100 approval, many children robbed and corpses along the way, she just defined Alyra as "a good friend"... and @diesvitae told me the harsh truth. In the meanwhile, I accidentally triggered Alistair's romance and well. It was already there. (in this case I refused to step down from Morrigan, tho.)
12. What have you found to be most difficult about creating art for your OC (any form of art: writing, drawing, edits, etc.)?
Aisling: already answered here! Raina: I struggle drawing such short hair. Also her nose. I can't get it right on first trial, ever. Also: I don't write her much because she's too close to me, as a character, and it's always treading on very delicate ground, LOL. (also: DA2 is the game I feel I have the least to add to) Alyra: I was stupid and forgot to note down her faceclaim. I have ONE picture, but I had no luck in any reverse image search, so far. I'm getting crazy about it. I also am constantly fearing her skin colour is too grey. I know she has the Blight and it's done on purpose, I don't want her to look healthy, but... EH. My mind keeps reading it as "wrong". Writing-wise she's a delight.
15. What is something about your OC can make you laugh?
Aisling: Experiments with Dorian, hands down and the dynamic between them two and Solas. Also, from the AU, how she loves every animal... But penguins? EVIL AND MALEVOLENT. (i got her a reason for it... But her horse hurt her more than penguins did and she looks at him as he's the best thing after sliced bread). Raina: She's trash. Drawing and writing trash characters is fun. It's just... A layer of boundaries less. Alyra: She's a young version of Yzma and I laugh at putting her in difficult situations. Like sending her to Kirkwall. I should write more about her in Kirkwall.

Not to sound like an ass but, I really don’t like what Blizzard did with Zul. Man had one hell of build up only to get a piss poor “hE GoT CUrsEd By G’hUUn” and die twice like a little bitch. It might sound a little silly, when I realized Yazma was inspired by Yzma, something clicked in my brain. In Kingdom of The Sun (a.k.a Emperor’s New Groove before it was Emperor’s New Groove) Yzma was more menacing. She wanted to cast the eternal night upon the world so she’d stay young and beautiful. That involved alchemy and necromancy. You see where I’m going with this? So, in my humble opinion, Yazma should have a bigger role and with that be the catalyst for Zanchuli betrayal and rising the dead. And what about Zul you ask? He remains as a cryptic chaotic neutral. He knows exactly what will happen, no matter what. He knows Rastakhan will fall and many things will change. Zul watches as the prophecies come true, including new ruler and her loa, Talanji. Zul is always right.

Yuu just chilling at work before her shifts starts, snarking at max -because that is Teenage Communication- as they both finish off some homework, "I will give my left kidney for any of my homework assignments to have an actual connection to the lesson or up coming test you know?" Max, near tearing his hair out Donald duck rage style, "dear God yes". (Adult staff: confused concern noises)
I like to think that sometimes Yuu and Max do their homework together because, since Max goes to a normal school, his homework reminds her of home and she finds comfort in the familiarity of wanting to die every time you open a maths textbook. She can't really help him though because she's a 16 year old first year with Ace and Deuce and he's 18/19 but her moral support is appreciated.
Like yeah, she finds it interesting to learn animal languages and potions and alchemy and stuff but it is a bit overwhelming coming into this with no background whatsoever.
Those two would so take advantage of being the only teenagers in the staff by making so many self-deprecating jokes and having fatalistic humour (sometimes Donald's nephews join in). The staff are used to this. Sometimes Professor Von Drake/a Disney character that's familiar with the subject helps them out.
(No but like imagine Yuu having Merlin and Yen Sid for help with her magic homework or Ursula, Yzma and Queen Grimhilde when she's struggling with potions like that would be awesome)
Also, I truly believe that Mickey Mouse is internet fluent. Like, sure he's been around for like 90 years but he is well immersed in modern culture. He sometimes plays video games in his free time and can quote any meme or vine without even blinking. He acts like he doesn't know what slang is just to see others squirm.
Mickey Mouse: One bonus of being An Adult/Icon is grossly misusing modern slang on purpose and watching the young staff members cry inside. A fine example: the other day I pointed at a passing car and, while looking at Max right in the eye, went “Man is that poggers or what huh?” and the look on his face was something I will treasure for years.
Lilia approves.

Drabble; Friday Night Hangout!
“What am I gonna do?! How am I supposed to rule an Empire with a bunny tail!” Kuzco dramatically flops backwards into the couch cushions behind him, draping a paw across his face and kicking his feet a couple of times for effect. He aggressively ignores the sensation of his tail being squished against the couch beneath him in favor of his dramatic wailing and complaining, which hasn’t stopped for the last hour or so since they’ve been here.
“I mean, sure I won the race– yay me! But now what?! Yzma still won! My life is over!”
True to her word and according to her only mildly out of pity, Malina kept their promised ‘hang out’ session Friday night. Kuzco was the first to arrive, if only because had basically followed (see; hopped after) her home from school. Her parents were conveniently not going to be home that night, leaving her to take care of things on her own–  and leaving them with the hut ALL to themselve! . . . At least until Kronk arrived. The buzzkill. “Your life is not over, Kuzco. Unlike the time you were turned into a llama,” Malina starts, glancing up from her homework scrolls to stare at him. Kuzco lifts a paw to cast her a withering glare at the mention of that traumatic incident– though it comes across far less intimidating the second his whiskers twitch along with it. “— We know exactly where Yzma is this time!” She continues, gesturing vaguely in the direction of the school. “And she has to have more human potion, she changed herself back from being a kitten, right?” Kuzco huffs and attempts to sit himself up, only to fail when his paws are too short to gain enough traction. He rolls over onto his stomach instead, and pushes himself up that way. “Yeah, but why would she give me that potion, Malina? She hates me! She wanted this!” He pauses, rolling his eyes. “Well, okay. She didn’t want me to win the race. But this is the next best thing!.” He corrects, shrugging his small shoulders.
At least in this form, his ears don’t really move. When he was a llama they twitched and jerked at every little reaction. “A rabbit can’t rule the Empire! She’ll have to take over as Empress, and I’ll be stuck like this!” Which of course, sets off a whole new round of hysterics. “Waaaaah!”
His nose twitches as his eyes fill with tears, and he tugs at his face with his paws. “Rabbit face!” Malina sighs and props her elbow against the table, leaning her head against it. “I thought this was supposed to be a study session, Kuzco. I’m supposed to be helping you with your Kuzcology homework. Not playing therapist.” His mouth drops open to reply and he freezes, eyes widening at the very sudden, very strange sensation of pressure threatening to suffocate him. All at once it feels like he’s floating, and Kuzco drops his paws to stare down at his tiny, fur covered body only to notice. . . nothing out of the ordinary. He blinks, but before he can comment on it he’s startled by the sudden appearance of pink smoke surrounding him on his place on the couch. In the matter of seconds, the smoke finally clears and Kuzco glances down at himself again only to realize he’s staring at the stark red color of his uniform shirt and his long, very human legs. “Hey, I’m me again!” He cheers, pulling his shirt out and away from his skin as if he can’t believe it’s really there, before hopping off of the couch and twisting around to stare at his back end MINUS the fluffy bunny tail. “I’m back to ME! Beautiful, young, handsome, muscle-y ME!– NOT A RABBIT, ME!” Malina is ignored for the time being where she sits at the table, watching with an annoyed expression as the Emperor– their supposed ruler of the entire Empire– happily dances around her living room praising the fact that he doesn’t have a tail. She should probably be a little more concerned over the fact that a human-animal transformation just happened right in front of her, but honestly— she’s over it. “Are you done yet?” “Nope! I’m just getting started! Uh huh! Uh huh– uh huh, uh huh, uh– “ Kronk chooses that moment to walk in to her hut, arms full of different homemade snacks, and a sack filled to the brim with scrolls of his own.
“Hey guys! Hope I’m not too late, I was making study snacks—“ He flashes them both a grin and stops dead at the sight of a very human Kuzco mid-dance in the living room. “Kuzco, you’re human again! That’s fantastic!” Kronk greets, as if he weren’t the one to turn him into a rabbit in the first place, and Kuczo can only stare at him as he slowly lowers his arms back to his sides.
“Uh, yeah big guy. I’m me again. A hah.” Kronk nods emphatically and heads towards the table to set everything down. “Guess that means you won’t have a craving for this carrot cake I made— but between you and me? You should try it anyway.” He tells him, setting the aforementioned cake on an actual cake stand down in the center of the table. “It’s worth it. Delicious.”

Do the Volturi sound like the actors/actresses you fancast them as, or do they actually sound different in your head when you write? For some reason, Marcus sounds like Mufasa, Caius sounds like Scar, and good god, Aro unfortunately sounds like Yzma when I read.
Good morning dearest Anonymous. This gave me a good chuckle this wonderful Tuesday, for I instantly got the the image of Caius singing "Be prepared" in my mind while Aro is yelling "Pull the lever Renata!".
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢 & 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬
The Royals
𝐀𝐫𝐨: I have previously described Aro's voice here. In general I believe him to have quite a pleasant voice, though it can be quite threatening when he wants to. I believe it is difficult to pinpoint and accent when it comes to Aro, he sounds like he could be from anywhere in the world.
𝐂𝐚𝐢𝐮𝐬: I have previously described Caius' voice here. In general I do not think my Fancasts voice fits entirely; Caius does not have an English accent. Much like Aro it can be difficult to pin point where he is from, he is quite fond of speaking in his long gone mother tongue to confuse visitors and strangers.
𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐬: I have previously described Marcus' voice here. Honestly the Mufasa comparison from dear Anonymous has the right associations for me; regal, deep and rich. My fancasts tone does not have the correct weight to it, Tamino has a very nice voice though.
𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚: Her voice and tone can come off as quite posh. Sounds like someone who has their affairs in order but still is pleasant to talk to. Like Felix she was Roman and has stayed in Italy the last thousands of years, she has a softer accent derived from her Latin days when she talks; a lot of strong R’s.
𝐀𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐚: Her tone and delivery can almost come off as a bit crass, she is not as political as Sulpicia is; though she still tries to keep a friendly lilt to her voice. I headcanon that Athenodora is from Vučedol culture, which corresponds to areas around the Balkans; Athenodora is specifically from around Croatia. This means she was speaking a form of Proto-Balto-Slavic language, these days people would say Athenodora has a Chakavian accent.
𝐃𝐢𝐝𝐲𝐦𝐞: She had a very sweet voice, that almost could come off as slightly annoying when she was in a bad mood. Very much insisted on speaking her and her brothers language when she wanted to be secretive.
The Guard
𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢: I have previously described Demetri's voice here. Honestly Demetri does not sound like his fancasts voice, Aneurin has a Welsh accent after all. The pitch is similar, but over all Demetri's voice is smoother and he has a distinct Greek accent.
𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐱: I have previously described Felix's voice here. Honestly this is one of the instances where the fancast matches my idea of Felix very well. This is what Matteo Martari sounds like speaking Italian. It is pretty damn close to what I hear in my head.
𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐞: I have previously described Jane's voice here. In general her voice can have a childlike quality to it, but from time to time there is this steel and grit to it; really makes it clear that she is in fact over a thousand years old.
𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐜: Much like his sister he does have that softer tone of childhood, I always imagined him to have just gone through the voice change of puberty so he sounds young but more like a teenager. He has that rasp to it that boys of that age tend to have right before settling into their adult voice.
𝐇𝐞𝐢𝐝𝐢: She sounds almost identical to my fancast, Gemma Chan's voice is just so beautiful and eloquent. While I do think her accent is more neutral and not so English, more of gentle German accent there if anything.
𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐚: I have previously described Renata's voice here. In general I think her fancast is quite spot on actually, its deeper than you might expect; contrasting with her sweet face.
𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧: In fact is from a specific part of The Roman Empire, Roman Gaul where they still spoke Gaulish; a Celtic language. So you will hear certain characteristics from that in her tone of voice, here is a video detailing pronunciation. In general Corin comes off as quite icy when you don't know her well, but when she warms up she sounds quite friendly.
𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐨: Since Santiago hails from Brazil he has a distinct Brazilian-Portuguese flavor to the way he speaks. Specifically he is from the northern parts known for a Sweet and Musical way of speaking. You can still hear this in his voice today, Santiago sounds very easygoing and friendly.
𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐨𝐧: His voice is similar to his fancast Bill Skarsgård's voice, though slightly deeper and rougher. Now Swedish is a pitch language so it goes low, high, low or high, low, high, low. Which is why some might say it sounds like they are singing, Afton very much has a soft Swedish accent.
𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞𝐚: The only way I can describe Chelsea's voice is pleasant and warm. She also has a bit of an accent, having kept some of those unique quirks from the Mycenaean Greek she grew up with. There is something exceptionally feminine about Chelsea, a beautiful voice.

It’s official. I can’t stay away from the found family… and the hurt/comfort… and the dad-Pacha…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was that dream again.
He’d be in the village, or in his throne room, or relaxing in his pool, happy as could be… and then the ground would drop out from underneath him and he’d plummet down, down, down to land in the lab.
Fur, hooves, even the smell- all of it told him that he wasn’t himself anymore, he’d turned back into a llama, and was facing the scariest woman alive. No Kronk, no Pacha, and no way out.
She lifted up her skirt to draw the long, crooked dagger once more, and he was glued to the ground, unable to do more than shake in fear. The dagger was raised higher, higher-
“-o! Kuzco!”
Wait, he was shaking. Or someone was shaking him?
The dagger came down-
“Aaahh!!”
-and Kuzco sat bolt upright, gasping for breath.
“Kuzco, are you alright?!”
Kuzco looked around wildly until he found the speaker. It was the village leader Pacha, voice tight with worry. “Pacha?”
“Are you alright?” Pacha asked again. “You looked like you were having a nightmare!”
As the young emperor’s panic faded, he glanced around again. He was in Pacha’s house, in the bedroom that had been set aside for him when he visited. What was he doing there?
As two small heads poked their way around Pacha, he remembered. He’d been asked to spend the night by Chaca and Tipo, the oldest of Pacha’s kids. They were kind of annoying, sure, but so cute he couldn’t say no. Maybe he could convince Pacha to lay them spend the night at the palace in return-
“-Kuzco?” Pacha prompted.
“Huh? Oh, yeah, I’m- I’m fine,” Kuzco said aloud. “No nightmares here, just sweet dreams!”
“I had a nightmare once,” Tipo spoke up. He raced forward to perch on the side of the bed. “I dreamed that Dad went over a waterfall!”
“That wasn’t real,” Chaca told her brother, arms crossed. “My dream was real! I dreamed that Dad had to kiss a llama!!”
“He did not!”
“Did too!”
“Okay, okay, kids,” Pacha intervened, scooping Chaca into his arms. “You know, both of those things really happened!” He cast a sideways glance at Kuzco. “Isn’t that right?”
Kuzco felt his face grow hot at the memory. He’d been accidentally tied to a log with Pacha, and the river had taken them over a waterfall. “It wasn’t a kiss,” he retorted with a scowl. “It was mouth-to-mouth! I nearly drowned!”
“That was you?” Chaca asked, giggling.
“Ha, ha, very funny,” Kuzco muttered, a fond smile creeping onto his face. “Yes, it was me, no thanks to Yzma-“
His smile fell. He’d nearly forgotten his dream. His thoughts began to swirl again, and he felt that familiar pit of fear form in his stomach. What if he hadn’t had Pacha with him in the lab? Would he really have escaped? Would he still be a llama? Would Yzma have-
“Kuzco!”
Kuzco gasped, staring up at the concerned man. “I-“
Whatever he was going to say was abruptly cut off as Pacha swept him into a hug. Kuzco stiffened for a moment, then leaned into it.
“It’s okay,” Pacha said soothingly. As big as the older man was, it was like being hugged by a pillow.
