So about your take on the Shroud Swap AU, what if that AU Ortho meets canon Idia :D(plus have their emotional support robo bros with them so uhh yeah 😀💧)
It would be so awkward for both of them.
Like robo Idia and robo Ortho would get along so well, while their human counterparts would be so AWKWARD since 'Uhhh... I made a replica of you after you died.' 'Cool... Cool... Me too'.
The human Idia and Ortho would bond together, at first by comparing how both of them went around with building their robot brothers. Both would be impress and appreciate each other for giving their robo counterparts federal threat level weapons. U-Ub

thinking about an au were ortho lived and it was idia who died either protecting ortho or just died for the sake of plot, they were pretty young when it happened I remember somewhere they say ortho would have been a freshman is he didn't die so couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 so ortho a helpless child watching not only a loved one and close friend but your older brother the person you idolize dying right in front of your eyes has to leave more than enough trauma, obviously idia blames himself for what happened especially because he's older and potentially knew better or could have done something but being a helpless child no more than 6. idia would have been around 8 and I don't know any 8 year old with that great of like critical thinking skills and knowing when somethings a bad idea (not to say normal idia isn't smart he absolutely is and it shows but being book smart and job smart is different than street smarts and common sense especially in children)
anyway rambles rambles kinda got off track lolol
OH OKOK WAIT
a while ago i found a lil au by @/patchyegg87 called shroudswap where ortho is human and idia is a funky lil ai guy
i really like the characterization of human ortho in their au? like he's really quiet and really reserved, but he's still the excitable ortho we know in game. makes sense if this au follows the idea of idia being the one to die rather than ortho
meanwhile, idia is more boisterous and prideful compared to his canon counterpart. maybe bc of how his ai was written by ortho?
but yes i love this au even though the content is very small :)
and now!! gonna add in some black sheep themes woohoo
i can see swapped!shroud who, instead of being shut out by their parents, is now being put on a sudden pedestal bc they are down an heir(?) to STYX.
so now theyre being bombarded by their parents to be as good as idia in STYX work. and either, they find a way to deal with it, or they aren't able to at all. idk fun lil thoughts :D

Particle Collision: Chapter 1
Now, I will say now that this AU, ShroudSwap, is not my own, but was created by the wonderful user known as @patchyegg87 and I have been given their permission to create this story, thank you so much!
Warning: None as of yet, but some pay appear in later chapters
Pairing: Idia Shroud/Oc ( In a way, oc is MC in the game, but came along with her ‘brother)
Story Summary:  Thrust into an all new world was not exactly what Andy had planned for her and her 'Brother', Link. Especially not one filled with magic and new problems to solve around every turn and corner that they take. Perhaps the only good thing about all of this going on would be meeting someone who was just like her, someone who understood her better than anyone ese she had ever encountered. The only problem? Andy didn't know when the time would come when she would be taken back to her own world and away from Twisted Wonderland. Could she really afford to get to close?
Chapter 1 Words: 1,331 words
Note: Comments and Reblogs are very much appreciated! Do not repost!
Blank. Everything felt so blank and endless. What had happened? I felt like just moments ago, Andy was watching as her 'brother', Link, was yet again slaving away over his computer as he had been working on another one of his crazy inventions. Well, she couldn't call them crazy. After all, she had been one, herself. Then the next moment, everything had gone blank and for one reason, she couldn't seem to boot up her systems. Had there been  malfunction?  power outage of some sorts? No, she would have seen that coming. And nothing had shown up on the security feed from their home. Whatever it was, it was sudden, it slipped past her defenses, and now, everything was out.
"....-Y!..... -ndy? Andy, wake up!" Everything came back so suddenly, systems rebooting as everything bluescreened for several long moments before Andy's vision finally returned, everything finally coming back into focus. The first being she saw, her little brother hovering over her projected body, the look of worry and concern plastered onto his face, green eyes s wide as saucers, mouth slightly trembling as he exhaled a relieving sigh upon seeing her online eyes. Adjusting herself to a more sitting position, Andy took a look to the environment that they had been placed in and all but went on the fritz as her body projected itself upwards in an instant, noting the such a dilapidated and crumbling room that they were currently in. This was certainly not their home. And, well, her systems certainly did not recognize just where they were at. Though, her brother calling her name once more snapped her attention back to him, and he seemed to see and understand the questions that were floating around in her processing systems.
"I know it's a lot. But I finally managed to get your systems back online. You've been out for almost a week. And I can see your questions. Just... take a moment and reconfigure yourself and I'll explain, okay? There's some things I still don't know ether but I will catch you up to speed." Link would tell her this as he stood to his own feet from the seat he had been in and placed her projecting system onto his belt.
Exactly what had happened? Why were they in a crumbling home when they were just in the home lab? And she had been offline for a WEEK? Just how much has she missed in that amount of time? Her head quickly moved back over towards her brother as her eyes did a full san of his body, eyes widened and frantic before seeming to give her own version of a sigh of relief to see that, at least physically, alright. Though her scans did show that he was not eating as well as he should, given his current iron and calcium levels. And his blood sugar was getting to be a little to low for her liking.
"Link, explain to me, please? What is happening? Where are we? And for the love of the sun and the stars, please tell me you have been taking your insulin." The poor AI was currently trying not to have a breakdown, or at least the AI equivalent of one. If she had been offline for a week, then so much could have happened to him but given the fact that he was alright, in a way, and breathing in front of her, at least indicated that he had been, But she would certainly feel better if she heard it from himself. Andy was designed to be able to take care of him, after all. And to know that she had been gone for a week sent her a bit onto the edge over his wellbeing.
Link had let a small chuckle fall past his lips as he nodded his head while he leaned against the rotting and wooden wall, making her grimace a bit at the sight of such a thing. The chuckle did seem to help her a bit. His humor was still intact.
"Don't worry, Andy. A friend has been able to get me some since we got here. Speaking of here, I think it is safe for you to assume that we are....  rather far from home right now." The way that he sounded a bit more nervous towards the end of his statement almost sent the AI into another mental fit, given how Andy quickly tightened her lips and her hands shook ever so slightly, knowing that whatever it was that her brother would be saying next would not be the best thing for her to be hearing.

"So.. you're telling me that we are literally in an all new world with no idea how we got here, how to go home, if we even can get home. Magic is a thing here. We have spin off people from the Disney movies back home, and we are in the school for its villain's? We have a painfully dense and stupid bird brain essentially telling us what to do all of the time, a talking cat, and school classes we now attend with all of this. Did I miss anything?"
Andy was pacing the room, well, more so hovering the room, as she essentially recapped the information that was just told to her. Twisted Wonderland? The 'Twisted' part certainly fit well enough given the current situation she had found herself in. Her and her brother both. Link merely nodded his head.
"Yeah, that about sums it up. We'll cover Overblots later. I don't want to put too much in your processor when you're already trying to get everything else figured out. Now, I do have classes that I need to be at today. Grimm is already there. I told him to go on ahead, I wanted to try and get you online again... it was... lonely without you." Hearing her brothers words made Andy sink softy as she went over towards him and placed her hands, without accidentally going through, onto his shoulders and gave him a smile, the best one that she could right now.
"Hey... hey, it's going to be okay, I'm here now and we can make it through this. Us Torchwood's stick together and we can make it through anything. Now, you said class, we should get going there now, then. Just because I'm back online doesn't mean that I'm gonna let you slack off." She gives the best playful nudge that she could as she would then lead him towards the door, brightening up at seeing the smile that was now on Link' face.
"Oh! They don't exactly know about you just yet. Do you mind staying in the pack until I can introduce you to everyone?" He now gave a small and sheepish smile. The Ai gave a small grumble as she wasn't exactly the biggest fan on staying inside of her pack. Before, she could just go through the internet whenever she was stuck inside, binge her anime, but now? Andy didn't really know what to do. She didn't know what the technology was like here. Well, if she was up and running, nd honestly feeling amazing, then the technology must be good. Though, she would save hat conversation for later.
"Fine, but my eyes and audio stay on." She muttered before allowing her form to dissipate into the pack that was with her brother before her sight led her to seeing some of the other parts of this run down place they would be staying in, which already made her want to glitch out. But for her sake and her brother's, Andy refrained..... for now.
"So, what class is it that we have first?" Her voice rang out over the speaker on the pack as she watched them walk from the steps of the dorm and through the rusted and creaky front gat. Bless her processing unit, this place seriously needed renovations and they need them now.
"The first class that we have today is potions with Professor Crewel. After that is gym with Coach Vargas. Then we have break period and study hall. Then History of Magic. Only a few classes today." If there was one thing that Andy knew, was that her brother hated having to go to gym class. That was very evident back in their own world with how he could be with these things. Preferring to be slaving away over whatever new idea he would have. There were even times where she had to use her corporeal body and essentially just pick him up and carry him to the class, much to Link's disdain and Andy's amusement.
It seemed easy enough, for the time being at least. Andy knew that there would be a lot more difficulties as time went on. Especially being in a new world such as this one. She didn't know what dangers lurked around every corner that this place had to offer and that was a bit frightening to her. It would make it harder to be able to protect Link like this. She would need to get connected to whatever else here that she could as soon as possible if either of them were going to make it.

"Okay, a quick rundown on who we have that you will see in this class. There will be Ace and Deuce from the Heartslabyul dorm. They will be the most trouble as the two of them share a single braincell when you put them in a group, never mind if Grimm is with them, then there isn't even a braincell functioning. Trey Clover, he's the Vice Dorm Leader of that dorm and has proven to be helpful if I needed anything... and he makes really good desserts. Epel, Pomefiore first year. He looks adorable but that country boy has a kick to him. Never call him cute or he will go on a tangent. He didn't even want that dorm, but that's what was chosen for him. There are a few others I know but they aren't in this class this early in the morning." Link kept his voice low as he would carefully move to adjust the pack so that Andy could see who it was that her brother was talking about. And honestly, Epel did look like he was a little sweetheart, but she knew better than to judge anyone by their looks alone. Looks can be very deceiving, after all. Then her attention stopped on another pair in the room, her eyes widening from inside of the pack as she resisted very fiber of her being from jumping right out of said pack to rush towards them.
"And what about those two? The short boy with the fire hair and the hologram next to him?" To see that there was someone here... that was like her, made her coding warm up as she smiled, eyes never leaving the duo. Her brother cast his glance over towards them for a brief moment as he adjusted the way he was sitting down, placing the goggles on over his eyes.
"The Shroud brothers, Ortho and Idia. Ortho is more on the quiet side, not so sociable, but he's very smart, just like your brother. And Idia? I guess you could say he is certainly more verbal and outspoken than his brother. I hear that Ortho built him so that he wasn't as lonely. Idia is rather protective of him, which is, like, totally understandable. I haven't spoken to them before, yet."
This older Shroud sibling served the same purpose that she did. He was someone who was just like her. Andy had never met anyone else before who was just like her. The mere thought made her brighten as she brought her hands to her cheeks, various plans already formulating into her mind, to which her brother already seemed to be very much aware of as he turned her pack away from facing the pair.
"Don't even think about it, Andy. No one knows about you yet and I don't know what will happen as soon as someone does find out. Just... wait until I can find a way to tell someone so that it will be safe for you. I can't out your existence on the line like that. Besides, there's no telling what could happen. I promise that I will find a way but for now, this is just between the two of us." Sometimes it annoyed her at just how perspective her brother could be on these things and she gave a small huff, but agreed nonetheless. It would just have to wait for another time.
"Okay, okay, fine. Geez." Her voice grumbled out softly as she would cast her attention back to the brothers for a brief moment. One way or another, she would meet them. Andy would get to meet someone who was just like her.
