don’t get me wrong, i love the idea of eddie always having a crush on ‘king steve’ since middle school or high school, but i also like the idea of steve always having an interest in eddie. eddie, who is this odd mix of quiet and nervous but also loud and obnoxious. and steve knows eddie probably doesn’t care about him at all, his reputation isn’t exactly kind, and of course jocks/preps aren’t eddie’s type. but despite that steve always notices eddie in the hall, he goes to see the productions eddie is in (yeah eddie is a theatre kid, no doubt about it, especially in like middle school), and steve sits in the back and stares. he notices when eddie comes to school looking upset, or when he gets his hair trimmed, or when he starts wearing his hellfire shirt.

steve can’t help but notice this boy who seems to try and keep a tough guy exterior but who really is soft. his eyes look soft, his hair looks soft, his lips look soft.

steve has always been a cuddly and physically affectionate boyfriend. he’s used to pda with previous girlfriends. so he doesn’t think twice about being in eddie’s personal space all the time. he’s not usually this affectionate with friends, but he doesn’t really think about it, he just does what feels nice and natural.

he plays with eddie’s rings and hands as they watch a movie. he runs his fingers through eddie’s hair and tries to figure out how braiding hair works as eddie sits on the floor in front of him writing lyrics or prepping for his next campaign. he sits pressed up against eddie on the couch when there is lots of other space available. he always hugs eddie when he sees him, always runs his hand up and down his arm as he asks how he is. he just can’t seem to stop touching eddie.

as he does this eddie tries to stay cool, tries to stop the blush creeping from his cheeks down his neck from being too obvious, tries to not read too much into it.

much to eddie’s (and steve’s) surprise, he should in fact be reading into it.

i hate it how with horrendous rental prices in my country, it just doesn't make sense to be alone and live alone. like, i literally couldn't afford to rent a studio all by myself but if you cut the price in half, so 2 people pay it, that's a different story. i don't have a partner, i don't expect to have one any time soon, let alone to live with them, so now i'm renting 3-room apartment with my friend and her boyfriend. it's not bad but i hate how imo, i earn quite a lot, and yet i can't afford a small flat on my own. i literally feel like i'm being punished for being single

tsumugi and sora checking in to make sure im staying hydrated as we exercise while natsumes just like Not gonna lie i was kinda sweating bullets out there. do u think natsume is very visibly exhausted whenever they train so theyve developed a habit of constantly making sure hes staying hydrated and by proxy have started making double sure that everyones taking care of themselves while working out

genuinely hope natalie keeps jackie's necklace in s3 -- that she fiddles with it and stares at it, a little crooked heart on a golden string, and thinks about jackie taylor and how never in a million years would she have given this gift to nat, and yet it now belongs to her anyways. the good luck charm. the blessing of protection. an undying promise of a love natalie has struggled to know her whole life ( i would never hurt you on purpose / you're my best friend and i'd do anything for you ) and most importantly it's something that replaced the cold steel of a knife against her neck in the form of their soccer captain's delicate heart. it's hers, hers, hers, and when her head is weighed with antlers the only warmth she feels is from a metallic shape that's long since indented itself against her sunken, bony skin. a love she'll pass down to prey she'll always feel sorry for but a love that'll return to her all the same. and maybe in a kinder life it was something nat rightfully earned rather than the premature consolation it really was. and maybe in that other world the necklace comes from a well maintained, plushy hand : dangled into nat's ring-clustered fingers with a smile. and instead of pitiful sorry i love you's, it's a sickly fond look, one that's just for her.
